UNBELEIVABLE!

This is not my first rodeo, having purchased 15+ new cars - some of them very expensive luxury models over the last 45 years. Never has the process been easier and more pleasant. Generally speaking, I would rather go to the dentist than purchase a new car, but Tindol Subaru and Chris Townsend and Robin Anderson made it an absolute pleasure to purchase a car. This was my second purchase From Tindol Subaru. I went back because of the service I received before. The pleasant surroundings in the building and the pleasant people that I worked with made things easy for me. When you get older, that makes a difference. Overall GREAT buying experience.

I had been shopping around for a specific model of the Subaru BRZ. After searching for weeks, I finally found one at Tindol. I emailed Brian Tims back and forth for about a week before finally deciding on the car. Great Customer Service

I went to Tindol at 1pm on Saturday after the Service Department had already closed. Chris came over to ask what my problem was and when finding out that my two headlights on my 2010 Legacy were not working he took charge. He supervised getting the headlights out of the locked Parts Department and installed the two new parts. Afterwards he introduced me to Robin and the three of us had a very nice conversation. I will definitely buy my next Subaru from Chris.

Best experience I could have asked for

These people are great! This was my first experiencing buying a new car and immediately felt welcomed into the Subaru family. The employees were warm and friendly and not pushy at all. It was obvious they cared about me as a person and not just closing a deal. I will be a life time customer of Tindol Subaru for all of my Subaru needs.

They treated us and they treat each other like family!

My wife and I were on a road trip with our 2016 WRX and hit our first oil change interval. It was the Saturday after Thanksgiving and we were in Asheville, NC. We wanted to get our oil changed before heading 600 miles back home. I called that morning and the two local Subaru dealerships in/near Asheville said they were closing at noon and could not take any walk-ins. I had no choice so we decided we would just make the drive home. Last minute, I looked up to see if there might be any Subaru dealerships on the way home that might close later. I saw Tindol with great ratings and I figured I would give them a try. I spoke to Doren and he confirmed that they were closing in two hours (Noon) but asked what I needed done. I told him my situation and to my surprise, they said they would be willing to wait for me. Doren asked how far we were. I said "according to the GPS, 110 miles". Doren replied, "Alright brother, hit the road now and we will see you soon!". We checked out of our hotel and arrived after 12pm. I was greeted by Chris Townsend who helped me find Doren. While waiting, Chris came out and complimented our 2016 WRX (we had done some cosmetic modifications to the car already). Mike came out and greeted us, and got our paperwork set up and took care of the car. He did the oil change, rotated the tires and he even washed our car for us to take care of all the bug stains! He said he also checked out our brakes and our turbo to make sure everything looked and nothing was loose. While waiting for our car, we spoke to Chris who was very friendly and knowledgeable about Subaru's (My wife and I have 3 among ourselves and I have had two before these three). When Mike was done, we all started talking about Subaru's and past stories. During the conversation, Robin excused herself and asked if she could ask Mike a question. She had another customer alongside her who was having troubles with his car. She asked if Mike had time to help him on Monday, Mike said whenever he was able to bring the car in, to come find him and he will take care of it, no problem. Robin gave Mike a hug and a big cheerful "Thank you!"It was at that moment I knew that these employees had a passion for Subaru's and helping the customer. But at the same time, they treated each other respectfully and appreciatively. Even for something small like helping out a customer!On the drive home, my wife and I talked about potentially making more trips to the NC area near the next service interval so that we can stop into Tindol and have Mike work on the car again. That is the lasting impression we got from our first (and not our last) visit!

Wonderful

It was time to buy the wife a newer car as she is a home health-care RN specializing in seniors. We determined the new Outback was the best car for her work. Gordon as always took the time to locate what we needed and beat Car max at every point- A year newer, 1/2 the miles, and much less expensive. Natalie has a great team. Amanda you are a real asset. We deviated away from Tindol on our last purchase but will not make that mistake again. Over the years we have purchased three cars from Tindol. Got a great deal on a great car. The used car Mgr was a little difficult to deal with, however Brian and Robin made sure we were able to purchase the exact car we wanted.

Better Price than Charlotte Dealerships

Ordered a 2016 WRX STI here as they quoted the best price in the Charlotte area. Chris Townsend was great to work with via email, phone, and in person. Highly recommend including them in your new car buying search if you live in the Charlotte area.

Very professional, low pressure

Undervalued my trade & frustrated me

I came in knowing exactly what I wanted and what kinds of numbers I should be seeing. I'd already done my research at home. Brian was a nice enough salesman, but didn't seem very knowledgable. After I declined his trade-in offer & selling price, Robin came in to try to help him out. Things went downhill from there. They didn't listen to me and my needs. They were just trying to sell me a car, any car - not the one that I wanted. I let them know that if the numbers weren't agreeable, I would just leave & Robin would change the numbers a bit, but just didn't seem to be listening. I left, went to another dealer that was much easier, didn't play games, and offered me $2,700 more for my trade-in right off the bat. I won't be back.

On January 6th, 2015 Robin sold me a 2015 WRX and gave me exactly what I asked for on my trade in. Since then I have gone back to the dealer 3 times for service and parts. Each time I am there she has made a point to make sure I am still getting everything I want from my car. Robin has gone above and beyond the standard customer service model. Best new car buying experience we've ever had.

We had already test driven a 2015 Subaru Outback Limited at another dealership, but had read positive reviews about Tindol Subaru. So when we took a trip from Harrisburg, NC to the NC mountains we decided we would stop by Tindol Subaru on the way home. We met with Doren Moore and described to him the exact vehicle/options we wanted. Within 30 minutes we had their best price, which was better than a True Car Price. Doren told us that they didn't have the vehicle we wanted in stock, but they had one coming, which we could reserve by placing a deposit on the vehicle. We did place a deposit on the vehicle, but because of the demand for the Outback it took much longer than the date the factory originally gave Tindol. We sold our vehicle to a private individual. The buyer of our car wanted to take possession of our car based on the original delivery date the factory had given Tindol. Tindol most generously gave us a loaner car to drive until our new Outback arrived - now that's customer service! Doren was great throughout the process, keeping us informed of what was going on with the delivery of our new Outback. My wife and I both felt like they treated us like "family". I would highly recommend Doren Moore and Tindol Subaru. Almost forgot to mention that we did meet the Sales Manager, Robin Anderson. She was a joy to be around, very positive attitude and very friendly - not your typical dealership sales manager.

I need to purchase a 2016 Outback on short notice. Chris found me the perfect car with exact package and options my family needed. He made the entire buying process easy and straightforward. Very quick and painless.

From beginning to end the car buying process here was very, very easy. Everyone at the subaru dealership was very helpful and very kind. No one treated me any kind of way because I was a young girl who wouldn't typically be buying a new car. I have witnessed other people's experiences at other car dealerships and my experience at the subaru dealership triumphs every other experience I've had. New Legacy.

My wife has been getting her car serviced at this dealership for 3 years. On one of those visits i was introduced to Chris. I was impressed with the facility based on how well they treated us when we brought our Outback in for service. After driving a few loaner cars when my wifes was getting serviced, I decided it was time for me to get a Subaru. I went to the dealership one Saturday with my parents and was surprised that Chris still remembered who I was since we met about 5 months ago. I liked the Legacy and Chris helped me test drive a few and find the one that I wanted. We test drove a few and he told me the difference in all of them to help make my decision easy. When it came time to buy Chris helped me look at all my options and ended up finding me a new car for what I would have gotten the used one for. Robin helped make the loan process quick and easy and knew the answers to every question I asked. I love my new car now and am so thankful for Chris. I don't think I would ever want to buy a car from anyone but him in the future.

Pleasant Purchasing Experience

Commerce has changed, with a lot of initial communication being conducted on line. My initial request (sent to numerous dealers) was quickly responded to by Chris Townsend, he was direct and put his best foot forward. That lead me to decide to visit this dealer, because the back end is even more important than the front. Chris was clear and straight forward. As I was handling a trade, we entered that discussion equally efficiently and straight forward. A deal was quickly struck. Our interaction with Robin Anderson was equally efficient, and pleasant. Amanda is great! Good job in putting her to help customers. She is thorough and knows what is going on. She has been there the past 2 times I have had my car serviced (prior times, you had to look for someone to help you) and she is on top of getting you taken care of quickly.

Road Trip Ready

We've had Subarus since 1993 and two Tindol Subarus since 2008. I've worked with many of the staff and everyone has put customer satisfaction as their priority. Amanda has taken any service need and scheduling and made it convenient, reasonably priced, updated during service, and comfortable if waiting. I'd also be remiss with not mentioning the continuing help of Chris Townsend and Mike Payne for taking care of us since 2008 and Robin Anderson for helping a workmate with a new Outback. A great organization and Amanda is the best of what customer service is about.

This dealership offers premium service and support on Subaru automobiles. I had a single point of contact (Amanda) and she made all the arrangements for my service work. She set time expectations with me before I arrived at the dealership and she followed up with me thought the servicing of my car. There were many luxury touches at the dealership ranging from the nice snack basket, to the high quality reading material in the customer waiting area. If you have never considered a Subaru automobile give this product line a try and I strongly recommend this specific dealership. I have only owned my Subaru for two days and based on my experience here I am so happy with my purchase!

New Car Experience

The news was almost too good to be true. A flyer arrived in the snail-mail claiming that if I bought a new 2015 version of my 2013 (not that old) Legacy, Tindol would save me over $200 per month on my car payment. OK, I bit. Even though I wanted to move from Legacy to Outback, Chris Townsend and Robin Anderson made practically the same deal for a top-of-the-line 2015 Outback. I can't say enough for the Tindol Subaru team.

5-star sales service and experience

I first called Tindol yesterday afternoon and although the Crosstrek about which I was calling had just been sold, Paul took down my info and called back later with potential matches across the north and Southeast. Great follow through! I worked most with Chris yesterday and this afternoon; he answered all our questions with patience and thoroughness throughout the test drive, trade in, decisioning, and financing processes. He was knowledgeable about the brand, no haggle, very pleasant, and dedicated to serving his customer. We experienced delays with the online & over-the-phone financing group, not affiliated with Tindol, and had to redo the process in house. It was a bit of a time hog, but everyone at the dealership was apologetic regarding the approval delay and kept it moving along. Before we drove away in my new Impreza, Chris made sure I knew that car inside and out! I really appreciated that; no one wants to be left searching for the cruise control ON button or the USB port three days later. Michael in the onsite business/finance office explained the process, our options, and all the docs thoroughly.I would highly recommend the Tindol Subaru team!

Our second Outback purchase.

This was our second opportunity to work with David Rose. Luckily, we were able to be part of his retirement celebration, but are certain our future purchases will go as smoothly. Our finance and service experiences have gone as smoothly. We bought our first Outback because we were doing home dialysis and needed a vehicle that could carry not only our dialysis machine, but all of the supplies required for my husband's treatments. We were also looking for an automobile that was economical; we were more than satisfied. My husband received his kidney transplant in January. We purchased our second Outback in April. Best Dealership Ever!

I bought my new Outback in February and love it! I have had several questions about it and I have called or texted my salesperson, Chris many times. He ALWAYS responds quickly each time! In the past I would never have dreamed of contacting my salesperson 3 months after a purchase for a simple question. Every aspect of this dealership is wonderful from buying to servicing.

Everything went very smoothly with this purchase - initial contact via the internet, visit to the showroom to view the vehicle. Doren Moore stood by the price he had quoted me online and the transaction was quickly completed. No complaints at all, great follow up after the sale.

I went in to Tindol Subaru knowing what vehicle I wanted, and Gordon made the process really easy! Pretty easy to see why Tindol Subaru is successful. Great people, fantastic cars, very fair prices, and a smooth buying experience. I've seen commercials where they talk about no drama. Sure - but buying a car at Tindol is more like sitting around your kitchen table with friends. Is it possible for buying a car to be fun? It is at Tindol.I've bought three cars at Tindol Subaru in the last five years. My wife, son, and I all drive Subarus. Two Outbacks one Forester (the new one). I won't drive any other car and I won't buy them anywhere else.

Excellent Car Purchase Experience!

We have purchased 9 new cars in our lives and this one was the best experience of all. Generally, car shopping/buying is a headache and a hassle! Not this time. I met Chris Townsend at Tindol Subaru in January while having my husband's car serviced. While there, I drove a 2015 Outback, loved it and liked the offer that was made. The only problem was that I was very particular on the color of the car inside and out and I wanted very specific options. Chris worked extremely hard to find the car I wanted. We received the car a few weeks later (which I was thankful for since other dealers told me ordering a specific one from the factory would take 6 weeks). The car even came in early, Chris called me promptly and I have my new Outback.Chris was excellent to work with from the first time I met him. We were in constant communication during the past 3 weeks. Each week I texted him asking if there was an update on my car's arrival and each time he responded promptly. WORST experience EVER!!!

I recently leased a 2014 Subaru Impreza from this dealership. After almost 30 days of not receiving my new tag or any payment information, I called to find out that they had incorrectly completed my paperwork. I had to drive 45 mins to the dealership to re-sign the papers. They did offer to fill my gas tank up which was nice. However, I still had to wait for 3 hours for the paperwork to be ready for me to sign, when the salesman knew I was coming at that time. After waiting, they finally had my papers ready only to say I owed them for the payment that should have been received during the first signing- I agreed to a Sign and Drive contract btw. So I paid bc I was ready to get out of there, only to find out that I still received a bill for my taxes which further delayed me receiving my tag. I understand mistakes happen, but I should not have had to wait 3 hours when the mistake was the dealership. I will NEVER return to this dealership and DO NOT recommend this dealership to anyone. It was basically poor communication on the salesmen and lack of follow-up with the sale.

Bought a 2015 Outback and the purchase process was really painless! I got good advice on the value of my old car (sell outright, trade-in, etc) and the price I paid for the new Outback beat the recommended "fair price" deals on all the car pricing web-sites. Service was great; my sales rep texted me frequently to let me know when to expect the car and they were very flexible on when I could pick it up. They made transferring my out of state vanity plate seamless, too! I'd recommend Robin anytime!

Worth the Wait!

Long Distance Purchase - New

I am located in Georgia and found the vehicle I wanted via Autotrader at Tindol. I had never even considered doing making a long distance purchase but reached out to them anyways. What Great Team!!!

Gordon and Dave and the rest of the team were great! Before I finally purchased my Impreza, I visited several times just to look and ask questions. Tindol Subaru was absolutely great! I just purchased my second Subaru through them (special order 2015 Outback limited with eyesight, the first was a 2014 Outback Limited that I had a great experience in purchasing as well). Chris Townsend was my salesperson on the 2015 and did the finance work on my 2014. He was above par no questions asked. He made the process as easy as it could be. He contacted me on a regular basis with updates regarding my special order and really made himself available for any questions or concerns that I had (and there were more than a few seeing this was a sight unseen new model year with major changes purchase). Not only did a feel like I had a great sales person but also a friend who cared about what I was purchasing.The big thing was what Tindol Subaru did for me as a customer. I had someone hit me in my 2014 Outback limited and totaled the car. The team at Tindol (everyone from Subaru Sales and Management to the body shop) bent over backwards to help me get through a very hard time and get my new car ordered and received, The Tindol body shop did all the insurance work based around my totaled vehicle and I had a great experience with them and would recommend them as well. Decided to buy a safe, reliable car for a new driver in our family. We had a Subaru 35 years ago in the Northeast and it was excellent in all that weather back then. We were looking for a car that was easier for my wife to enter and exit than our Impala. After looking at small SUVs and mini-vans, we looked at the Outback and found it to work well for us. I have been in the market for a new car for a while now. I didn't think a Subaru was within my price range. When I went in to try out a car, I was greeted by everyone & made to feel welcome. Michelle took me on 2 test drives - an Outback & a Forrester. When we were on the test drive she explained everything about the cars. I liked the Outback and she gave me the prices for both in the different categories. She explained all the options for each. She gave me the options for financing along with the payments for each option. She very patiently explained everything that I had a question about. I asked about trading in my present vehicle and was given a very generous trade in allowance. After I decided, I went to see the business manager who explained all the options for warranty and maintenance agreements. Then he calculated the payments for each one. There was no pressuring to take any one particular option which I appreciated. He just explained what came with each option and let me decide. After I decided and signed the papers, I went back to Michelle who explained all the books that came with the car and she put the business card in the packet for each person I might be dealing with in the future. She then took me out to the car & we went over all the gauges and options on the car. She helped me start programming the blue tooth and showed me all the little nooks and crannies in the car. She also helped me clean out my trade in. Since it was getting late & I had to go by the insurance company, she told me we would make an appointment to have the car Simonized at a later date. A day or so later I received an email telling me to get in touch with her anytime I had any question at all. Loved the experience. No pressure, just let me make the decisions. I would recommend the dealership to anyone!!

Instead of us waiting, she had Michelle work with us so we wouldnt have to wait. we were impressed with the teamwork and putting the customer first. Michelle was very knowledgable about the Outback and answered all my questions. My wife and I drove a few different subaru's while deciding between the outback and forester and Michelle was patient while going back and forth for keys and always friendly. The financing was easy and the paperwork was quick once we decided. If I had one drawback, it would be the manner in which the finance guy (mike) pushed the extended warranty. If I had not done my research on subaru's before coming to the dealership, I would have doubted the reliability of the Subaru's because of the way he presented the offer. Don Hong was my first contact when I call Tindol about the used Subaru. Don was very helpful, friendly, and had a no pressure approach. This can be very uncommon in a car dealership! Don looked over the vehicle while I was on the phone with him, and he recommend I come down and view the vehicle. On viewing the vehicle the next morning, Don provided me with the right amount of information about the vehicle, and gave me the freedom to fully look it over. He than gave me directions to take it out for a drive. Don asked us our thoughts on the vehicle and we worked out a fair deal for the purchase. Don continued to check on or needs while we were waiting for the vehicle to be ready to drive it off the lot. Don then continued to follow-up on our needs after the purchase was complete. After researching Subaru dealers throughout the western part of N.C., and after being treated poorly by a local dealer, we drove nearly two hours to buy our car in Gastonia because Robin was so helpful and Tindol's trade-in offer and prices were so generous. Everyone we worked with, but especially Robin, treated us as though we were friends, not prospective customers.

She understands her product and was able to understand my car needs. She was able to answer my questions and sought the assistance of her cohorts when she wasn't positive. Overall experience was excellent!! The staff was very professional. Office staff were prompt and extremely helpful. The shop was immaculate and the mechanics were very familiar with my vehicle. They took the time to explain the service items which were required and to help me prioritize the service needs for budgeting purposes. The quality of satisfaction is uncomparable. I have been to many dealerships in the past and always had to deal with the same hagglingng for right pricing or the salesman trying to get me in a vehicle that I either didn't want nor could afford. Chris did everything he could to get me what I wanted at the right price with the least amount of effort on my part. I went in, said what I wanted and what I wanted to pay monthly and Chris made it happen. I will continue to go to Tindol for all my future car buying needs.

We had a great experience here at Tindol. Their pricing was the best in the area and they went the extra mile to make sure we were satisfied. When there was an issue with the vehicle just shortly after we bought it (nothing that was their fault) they were quick to resolve the issue with no questions asked. Chris was very responsive and great to work with.
