I took my Highlander when my car started to run hot. They said they will check it out and called me to tell me it would be about $2700 to fix my car. Since I needed the vehicle, I talked to the service writerand got the price down to about $1000. I said OK, but I still had reservations. After over a week, because they had to order parts and they found more parts needed to be replaced. The cost got up to$2400. When finally the car was done, I asked for the parts? I wanted to see the parts they had replaced. THEY SAID THEY THROUGH THE OUT. I said "I paid for the parts, they are my parts not yours. I want my parts." I think they either put rebuilt parts and jacked up the bill. They cheated myand that is why they throw away the my parts(If they had them in the first place).DO NOT GO ANYWHERE NEAR THIS DEALER. I will file with the BoAR with the State of California and with Toyota.

Toyota of Thousand Oaks really has their stuff together. I inquired via internet, set-up an appointment, and the whole process was very easy and didn't take forever. They provided me with a quality car, price was right, and financing was a breeze. Not to mention the staff was very friendly and treated me right.

I only stopped here to look at a car we were interested in and in 5 minutes, Cliff was suggesting a price to me without asking that usually takes a couple hours of negotiating to get. And then since I was out of state, they offered to lower the price more to make up for the extra taxes I'd have to pay buying in california. I went back the next day and bought exactly what we wanted at an amazing price and they had to get it at another dealership so we didn't have to settle with what was on their lot. I'd have to say that they proved they wanted our business the right way, getting me the car we really wanted at a price we didn't expect. See Cliff if you want a good experience.

Horrible service department. First time I brought my vehicle in to check out the electrical (interior lights were out), I got other work added on, but they forgot to check the lights. Went in again to get the electrical checked and decided while there to get my driver's side door mirror replaced. It was loose but not hanging off and taped up well. When I checked my vehicle out (which I am very careful about dings or dents), I found they had put two black marks on the door while changing out the mirror. I tried to get the marks off but could not. I called to tell them about the black marks and a rude service advisor suggested I was responsible for the black marks. He was rude, argumentative and hung up on me. This is typical of their service department if THEY make a mistake...blame the customer. This is the culture of this service department. I have had problems before and I can't believe it is only me. I even bought this vehicle new from this Toyota dealership. Never again!

I ended up buying a wonderful used Camry. However, there were no floor mats whatsoever in the auto. I did not notice until I started driving the next day and I was tracking in mud. My salesman went the extra mile and made sure that I got my floor mats, greatly appreciated.....


They use deceptive business practices! Buyer beware!!!

I bought a new car there. They lied to me about the warrantee. They added options onto the contract without discussing the cost. They didnot let me read the contract before signing it. In fact they use an electronic device to capture the signature so I could not even see the contract.

I purchased a used 2009 Honda Civic LX from this dealership and as soon as I hit the lot a sales rep by the name of Mark lee came out to greet myself and my father. We chatted and I had told him I had my heart set on the 09 Civic that I saw the ad on cars.com. Mark immediately grabbed the keys and showed me the vehicle and let me take her for a spin. The vehicle was in pristine condition and I instantly fell in love with it. After a long negotiating process Mark and his father Cliff (who is the manager there) were able get the deal done at the price I had exactly wanted. I usually walk out of a dealership where I felt I had been ripped but the FIRST time in my life I walked out of there feeling confident I got a great deal on a great car. Biggest thanks to Mark and Cliff Lee.

I arrived at 8:30 in the morning to check on my Toyota Prius as the engine light was intermittently coming on. I did not hear anything back, so I called at 11:45am and was told that I would get a call back in 15 minutes. 3 hours later, I was told my car needed an oil change and it would be ready by 4:30. I explained that I needed the shuttle to pick me up as late as possible and was told it would come at 5 or 4:30. It arrived at 3:30. I left work to hopefully quickly pick up my car and get back ASAP. However, when I arrived, my car was not even ready. Horrible communication and no follow-up. I will not go back.

I went here for starters because my father-in-law bought his truck here and loved the service so i thouhght i would give it a try. I walked in and there was Roger.... Amazing saler/person has been able to place me into my 2nd car here at the dealer. Hes really laid back and friendly. Ive been there a few times just to look at cars and see which one i would like next (we were sealing my husband older truck). These guys are friendly and funny, but are about selling the cars to people and working their best offer that they can TOO YOU!!!. I work crazy hours and was only able to go at night. These guys stayed there until 11:30PM to make sure once all the paper work was done that i left with a smile on my face and walked me thought the WHOLE car. Cliff did all my paper work. Walked me thought everything so i would know what i was signing and understood all the infomation. These guys are not pushy at all they were very much so about helpping me. I will always tell friends and family to go here. :)

My primary sales person did not show up to our appointment. we were waiting for almost an hour untill someone finally spoke to us. we did not receive proper acknowledgement of the car. we had waited for 5 hours! this is unacceptable, I will never ever recommend anyone nor come back again!

Last night, I bought a Toyota Rav4 from "Junior Ashtiani" and he was so helpful. Find the right color for me, and on top of that took care of my remaining lease return and I was so excited and happy. We just went to see the car, but "Junior" explained the car so good to us that we ended up Leasing a New 2014 Toyota Rav4 and am very happy with his service. This is our 3rd car which was leased by Junior Ashtiani, over the past 7 years going there. 100% recommended his service.

We had a great experience buying a new Avalon yesterday. The salesman, Mike, was exceptionally helpful, and Andy, the General Sales Manager, was friendly, cooperative, and easy to talk to. We highly recommend them. It is the best experience we ever had buying a new car.We also have used the service department for our previous cars, and have been extremely happy dealing with them, especially Yobi.

I called this dealership last week (I have bought two cars here and serviced both of them at this location). A service rep answered my call and unfortunately was extremely rude to me. I typed a very negative review with the intention of posting here and sending to the corporate office. However Frank, the service manager, called me back. Scheduled my appointment, was pleasant to work with and apologized for his employees behavior. So what started as a major customer service issue ended on a positive note. Thank you Frank.

I have been doing business with Thousand Oaks Toyota since the late 90's but never thought very highly of the dealership. Today I brought my FJ Cruiser in for its 15K service. The FJ is a great truck but two much vehicle for my needs and budget, so I walked over to the sales department not expecting anything in the way of help. Ken Reulein the salesman walked over and introduced himself, I explained my situation to him, he then lead me over to a beautiful 2014 Corolla (like he read my mind) it was just what I wanted. We sat down to negotiate a deal to trade in the FJ and purchase the Corolla. This was my first car purchase out over 15+ were I felt like the salesman was working to help me with the deal not trying to squeeze as much cash out of me as he could. Ken also took the time to show me all the bells and whistles and answer any questions I had about the car. I got the car I wanted at the price I could afford, Thank you Ken and the rest of the staff involved. Great experience!!

I was having a problem getting the color I wanted for this car and I couldn't find a sales person that seemed honest or work with me on the price. The same thing happened eight years ago when I bought my first Prius. I live in Port Hueneme California and I tried to find a car I liked with a price I could afford in both the Oxnard and Ventura Toyota dealerships to no avail. I had outstanding service and help with questions and showing me how the car operates. If I wasn't just recovering from knee surgery, I would have gone to Thousand Oaks Toyota first. Ric Saenz, Fleet/Internet Manager, was so very helpful and supportive when I was worried about the total cost of the car. He set things up in my car for me and showed me how rouse all the components of the fancy technical accessories. Fred, the sales manager that had to work with all the figures was outstanding. He was so friendly and kind and answered my questions in a reassuring and very honest way. Then there was Bill Greene, the Finance Manager, who helped me through all the paperwork. He had lots of patience and was very friendly and helpful, helping me though this process of the sale. All in all it was a pleasant and very happy experience. I would refer anyone that was interested in a Toyota to Thousand Oaks Toyota.

I am the proud driver of a new Toyota Prius! You might imagine how one feels when they get a new car because having a new car is very exciting. We can also imagine how the experience that goes along with getting that new car can be confusing and tedious. Well, nothing could be further from the truth regarding my time with Mitch at Toyota at Thousand Oaks. My search began with an email. I received a prompt reply with a friendly answer to my question. I wrote back several times with more specific questions. Then I went to visit Mitch in person. I was welcomed with a friendly smile and felt an ease that instantly comforted me. I knew I was in good hands. This man was patient with me, explained (he's an excellent teacher) all scenarios regarding payments and never pressured me for any decisions. He made me feel very special as he seemed to know the importance of my comfort. Roy helped us try out every model on the lot including Highlander, Avalon, Rav 4, multiple versions of the Prius, and several models of the Camry. He patiently explained the differences between the models and answered all our questions. In the end we chose a Camry XLE Hybrid 2014.5 model that was the best fit for our needs and was on sale for Memorial Day offering $5,000 off MSRP. Roy helped us get other discounts such as the Toyota loyalty discount, a good discount on a 7 year / 100,000 mile extended warranty, and 0% financing with payments we were happy with. Roy, Ricky, Allen and the rest of the Thousand Oaks sales and finance team explained everything and worked diligently with us to ensure all of our questions were answer. Prior to driving off in our Camry, Roy spent almost an hour with us in the car helping us pair our Bluetooth phones to the car's entertainment system and explaining how all the dashboard functions worked. Overall we had a great car-buying experience.

I went into the dealership not expecting to make a deal. I did not think I could afford the car I liked, 2014 Camry Hybrid SE. The sales person said lets run the numbers and see. It was not the run around, back and forth with the sales manager. After the sales person came back with numbers I could not afford, he asked me what number I could afford. 5 minutes later he came back and made it happen. They gave me a great deal on a car I did not think I could get into, payment wise. Overall a good car buying experience.

Although the car buying process takes a really long time, all of the staff was very friendly. Ric took good care of us, was very friendly and worked with us to get as much as we wanted. I came into the dealership just to look at a Prius, but I had been thinking about a possible purchase for a few months. I was not sure if I wanted to buy that day, but ended up leaving with a brand new 2014 beautiful white Prius. Roy Devlin who was my sales person showed a warm personality, he worked efficiently and knowledgeable, without being too pushy. He explained in length the benefits of driving a Prius, we went for a test drive with the PriusC and then the regular Prius. He answered all my questions patiently and it was a pleasure working with him. I would recommend the dealership, but in particular Roy Devlin with his expertise and swift handling of the sale. Took my mom to this dealership to buy her a new Prius. Roy (sales guy) was super patient, very clear and open, and really made the experience one of the best I've ever had - especially when it comes to buying a car with my fussy, slow-moving, hard-of-hearing mom. Roy showed us several cars, and Mom had a pretty hard time deciding. Finally, when she found the one she wanted, we actually negotiated a fair price, based "mostly" on their advertisement in the newspaper (these are NEVER fully accurate). But even the "sales supervisor" was unusually decent and non-pushy - that's completely new to me - those guys are usually the WORST.With that all out of the way, in the finance department, Misha was ultra professional, very straight-forward. He's seriously Russian, so he's seriously serious - but still plenty friendly enough. The finance part is where they try to sell you all the additional warranties, which Mom just hates. But Misha was cool with it.After 20 "please-initial-here" and a dozen signatures in Finance, Roy took plenty of time to explain the ins and outs of the Prius (a not-very-normal car), including the built-in Bluetooth system, which astounded, delighted, and slightly baffled my mom. The fact that her new Prius was so PLEASANT to purchase, and links up to her precious iPhone, just made for a terrific afternoon at the car dealership - which... is a little bizarre to say.

I first visited a dealership closer to where I live to purchase a new car. I was looking for something very specific in make, model, and color. The dealership I visited left me with a bad taste in my mouth because of their mark-up on the price as well as their low offer for my trade-in (I had gotten other offers and knew my car was worth way more than what this shady dealership was offering-- but this review is not about them so I'll move on). I ended up calling Thousand Oaks Toyota driving off the lot of the other dealership. I explained what I was looking for and the salesman who answered, Ric, admitted they did not have the specific car on their lot. However, he said that if I wanted to come in and see if the numbers worked for me, he could guarantee he'd get the car brought up. I pointed out over the phone that I wasn't willing to sign a contract prior to seeing the specific car I would be buying, and he said that was okay and encouraged me to come up. So I did. I drove the 20+ miles north later that evening, and when I got there, though it was a very busy Saturday, Ric helped me right away. I was at the dealership for about two hours that evening, getting my car appraised, getting a quote on the new car, and then coming to agreeable terms for both. In that time, Ric made sure to sit with me and make conversation to ensure any questions I had got answered. I actually met quite a few of the sales staff that night, and everyone was very friendly and helpful. I was asked if I wanted water quite a few times, and I was lent a phone charger when I realized my phone had died. I repeated that I was 95% sure I wanted to make the deal but didn't want to sign anything until I had seen the exact car I would be purchasing, just in case it had too many miles on it or didn't feel right when I drove it. They were more than willing to work with me on this, charging my credit card a small ($100) deposit for them to bring the car up. If I purchased the car, that money would go towards the purchase price, but if I decided I didn't want it after all, they would refund it. There was nothing to lose. Less than 24 hours later I got the call that the car had been located and brought to the lot. I drove the 20+ miles back, took a short test drive around the lot, and signed the deal. I am more than willing to drive a longer distance for excellent customer service.

The lease end for my 2011 Prius was coming up: April 1, 2014. Three months before the termination date I received an email from Mitch Bohn, introducing himself and offering to assist me with the termination of my lease and transitioning into a purchase or a new lease. I was impressed that Toyota kept track of me and that Mitch was available to help me through the transition. Wow, follow-up customer service!I made an appointment with Mitch in the beginning of March. I had been avoiding making a decision about purchasing or getting a new lease, as I felt unprepared in spite of my research and, though retired from a career in corporate management, as an older single woman I was fed up being seen as a target for unscrupulous sales tactics.So, apprehensive and resistant, I met with Mitch. I was frank with him, saying that my biggest concern was that I would make a poor choice given my budget, and that I would be shoe-horned into a deal that I would regret the moment I drove off the lot. Now, that might show up as an invitation to take advantage of me, but Mitch took it on as an opportunity to educate me on the pros and cons of buying or leasing a car. Over the course of 4 hours (he said he would take all day if necessary to make sure my questions and concerns were addressed satisfactorily) Mitch walked me through the financial intricacies, the car models, the now and future technology, the corporate culture at Toyota, the socioeconomic realities of buying vs leasing, the computer scenarios that demonstrated his recommendations, as well as several joint diversions into the foibles and merits of the human condition. I never felt pressured or deceived, and I did experience that Mitch wanted to put me in the right car at the right price with the right terms. In the end, I freely and confidently signed a lease for a 2014 Corolla sport and I am happy to report the car is proving a great choice for me.

Absolutely the best experience I have ever had at a dealership. Nirmal was the most friendly and kind salesman. He matched the rates I got at another dealership and then some. I purchased my RAV4 almost 4 years ago and have been taking the car for service ever since then. First, the sales team seemed OK and I received a good deal. The finance guy was actually really nice and helpful. The great thing about TO Toyota is the service dept. They've always honored every coupon / discount and they clearly tell you what they're going to work on. The car has always been ready on time and I've never gotten the feeling they're trying to pad the bill or do anything besides take care of the customer. The only problem I've had with my RAV4 is the alternator went out with just over 40,000 miles (very unusual). Since I was out of warranty it looked like I was going to have to pay well over $600 to get it repaired, but they gave me the number for US Toyota and told me to call and see if they would at least cover part of the bill. The person I spoke to at US Toyota was very polite and professional and said she would review the case. Within minutes she was one the phone with TO Toyota where they vouched for me and talked US Toyota into paying the entire bill. I was very surprised / pleased! The only negative thing I can say about the service dept is I wish they would start washing cars again, but that's a minor complaint. In summary, a bit of a modest show room and decent sales guys. A pretty cool Finance guy (sorry, forgot his name!). And an honest and knowledgeable service dept. All in all a good place and where I'll go to buy my next Toyota.

Fred Khorrami is a sales person at this dealer location. I traded my Prius to get a new one. This guy works with you in a very pleasant way, at first. Once the sale is done, he turns 180, and you be surprised if this is the same person you dealt with in the past. This guy literally cheated me. He never explained the dealer incentive of Toyota Loyalty Program that you are eligible to receive $500 if you buy or lease a vehicle. I blindly signed the contract, and later when I realized, dealer said I should have do my homework. I failed, and they took advantage of the situation. They sold me a busted car. The GPS reboots on its own, and the driver window has a problem. I called them and they asked me to bring the car to check it out. They also told me that if I buy a PC from bestbuy, and if there is a defect, I take it to bestbuy to fix. Enough of their lecture. I was not willing to take the car to dealer as I don't have time. This is a brand new car, and they should be sending someone to fix it or if necessary, tow the car and fix it. Still there is no fix. I am not going to this dealer twice. This is not the reason I got the car to take it back to dealer when the mileage is less than 200. Go figure!

Had my car towed in to Thousand Oaks Toyota after hours 3-22, 2013 and was told to leave my key in the drop box. I filled out the envelop and placed the key in the envelop. I had one of their sales people give me an envelope and he told me where to deposit it which I did. I have had this same key on my key chain since I purchased it in 2002. Never LOST OR EVER MISPLACED it. I called them the next day and they could not find the key. I told them to look in the envelop. They said they searched everywhere and could not find it and the envelope. I confirmed to look in the drop box. He said it was not there (that was about 12 noon on Saturday.) They asked if I had another key and I found the valet key. I had no other key. My son drove it to the dealer. Monday...no calls or status. Tuesday I called and they said they had not found the key but the car was fixed. I mentioned I want my key. I said that maybe one of their employees put it in their pocket or left it somewhere by mistake. No, they said they checked with everyone. I asked if they would make a key from the valet key, but they said that key could not be duplicated. I called Larry Osborne, Service Manager, an abrasive, unprofessional and defensive man, and he said that he was the only one to open the box for overnight envelopes. He said my key was not in the envelope. I said I had sealed it in the envelope...why would I lie about that. I asked if they had any cameras to prove I had put it in the envelope, he said no. What was odd was Larry said he picked up the envelopes when he got there, but the service rep. handling my service issues had still not seen the envelope at 12 noon or knew where it was. I was told if I wanted keys, I would have to pay for a new computer key system which costs over $1,000 plus installation. I was told Toyota may pay for part of the costs. This is just one incident out of a few I have had with the dealership. The last was they did not want to honor the recall for my 2007 Corolla because it was from Canada. Fortunately, after much ado and no returned calls from Larry, Toyota Corporate in Torrance resolved the issue. In this case, Thousand Oaks Toyota did not want to do the recall, because they did not know how they would get paid. They could have risked the lives of my family because of their poor "management decisions". Thousand Oaks Toyota's management style is to blame the customer and don't do anything for them that they can get away with. I have found the service rep. to be very knowledgeable and nice, but the management are rude, don't always return calls and represent Toyota's Brand name horribly. All I wanted was my key back as it was given to them. I feel they lost it and don't want to have to pay to install a new system. They are a hopeless dealership and are a disgrace to our community. Azu showed her all there was to see with her "Dream" car, then humored mom and dad, and took her for a spin in the Corolla S. We've bought cars from this dealership in the past and their customer service always seem to amaze me especially tonight. We came in there after a long day of work at 6:00 and was immediately greeted by Tico Saint when we step foot into the dealership. He was the most humble and most welcoming man. He was honest and he showed us a variety of cars that would work well for us. He would give us his honest opinion and we left the dealership being very happy with the 2012 Camry. If you ever end up trying to negotiate or finding the best deal you should definitely request to work with Junior Ashtiani. He has the customer interest at heart and makes deals that is best for you. He fights for you so you won't get bad deal that will rip you off. Also Nirmal Sikdar was the last person we had to negiotiate with. He was tough at first but after aggressively negotiating with him awhile it seems like he really cared that you got the best deal that was possible. He gave us a fair deal that was more beneficial for us. He always had a smile on his face and always threw in a joke or two to lighten the mood. The only thing that the dealership should improve on is the speed of their service. We came that around 6:00 and didn't leave there until 11:00. It would be nice to have faster service so we wouldn't be more tired than excited when we brought out new car home! Other then that they had excellent customer service! The vibrant energy was still alive and all the employees were still smiling after four hours of non-stop service and a long day at work. They never once took a break until the deal was done. I contacted the dealership after looking at their used vehicle inventory online. I spoke to Andy Winbush and he encouraged me to come look at the vehicle in person, which I did. I felt no pressure from his sales crew, they were very accommodating when I wanted to take it to my son and show him the truck. The truck was an older model, but was in pristine condition. I thought the price was too good to be true, but was very satisfied in the end. I wanted to share with you some thoughts about a wonderful employee you have working for you at the Thousand Oaks, Ca. Dealership (Thousand Oaks Toyota), Roy Devlin. As a new employee to the dealership, he was everything you would ask for in a sale's rep.My wife and I had stopped by the dealership due to an add I miss read, thinking there was a certain Camaro for sale at this dealership. We were assigned Mr. Devlin as our rep and he told us that perticular vehicle we were inquiring about was not at his dealership but would be happy to show us a Camero he had in stock or any other vehicles we might be interested. He was a "Non Pressure" sales person that has great customer service. SInce it was late that night, he showed us a Camero at his lot but we wanted to see the vehicle during the day. He was so informative and kind to us, we are loyal people so we waited till Wednesday to look at the car since we found out he had a couple of days off and would be back on Wed. It was Roy who gave us a follow up call on Wed. day, again with no pressure, just letting us know he was here for us if we had any questions he could answer or show us any vehicle if we were still interested.It was while talking to him on that first Contact Call, that I felt he was sincere about helping us and did not feel any pressure that we had to purchase a vehicle immediatly so he could get the commission if that was the case. From the beginning, Roy was always available to us. If he was on another line when I called, I was assured and knew I would receive a call back from him that same day, usually he called back within a half hour after I called. Roy offered a helping hand if we needed it. Every time we had a question or needed help, Roy was always there. Roy was so kind to offer his condolences on his behalf and on the behalf of Thousand Oaks Toyota when we were making conversation with him and told him that two family member deaths occurred to us recently. That really meant a lot to us as a family. I am a retired Los Angeles County Deputy Sheriff (27 years). During the 1990s, our department was not looked upon in a positive way due to our poor customer service by a few (maybe more than a few) personnel. Because of my background on the department, I was chosen to teach a division of some 1,500 personnel on Customer Service. It was mandated that the course be four hours long in which it was, but at the end of each class, giving countless examples of poor customer service and turning those situations into positive situations where the customer was satisfied with the outcome, I told the classes that to me customer service can be so simple if you think of it this way. I could have taught the class in just one sentence. Treat every person as you would like to be treated (with respect, compassion and kindness) or as a family member you would like to have been seen treated if they needed help. Being somewhat knowledgeable in Customer Service, Roy Devlin exemplifies all three traits and more. He was respectful to us in every encounter we had, showing compassion when deaths in our family occurred and was extremely kind and courteous at all times. Roy is an exemplary employee and represents your company in a professional manner at all times. *******I can not emphasize enough about Roys exemplary customer service. I would hope Thousand Oaks Toyota has a Employee Recognition program because Roy sure deserves (at the very least) recognition for a wonderful job well done and fantastic customer service. As far as we are concernd and I know my opinion is bias as I'm sure your company has several wonderful employees, Roy Devlin should be nominated for employee of the month. As I told him,I will always use him as a reference for anyone we know shopping for a vehicle. I cant thank Roy enough for making our vehicle purchase non stressful and a pleasent experience. The experience with Roy, reminds me of a time passed when a small town business treated you as if you were part of their family. I mainly dealt with two individuals at the dealership, Junior Ashtiani and Nirmal Sikdar. I dont have anything good to say about Junior since I found him to be pushy, dishonest and impolite. In regards to Nirmal, he was professional and helpful. Actually if it wasnt because of Nirmal I would have walked out and not made a purchase. Also, the dealership sat on my paperwork for two weeks to file /process my registration and license plate. I bought the vehicle on May 23rd and they did not process my paperwork with the DMV until June 6th. This has never happened to me before in my life, and I have bought several new cars before this one. They told me they would match a price that I received from another dealership (which I had in writing), made me go through the test drive, fill out all paper work, spent about three hours there then the Sales Manger (some man with an Irish accent - I forget his name) walks up to look at the advertisement that they are matching and said they aren't going to match it. Not to mention he had the worst attitude I have ever witnessed.TO ADD INSULT TO INJURY, after I get terribly angry and tell them they had wasted my time & gas going out there, the Sales Manager proceeds to tell the sales associate "Hey, give them $5 for the gas they spent to get here." In the most SARCASTIC, CONDECENDING manner possible.HOW DO YOU EXPECT TO TREAT A CUSTOMER LIKE THAT????HOW DO YOU EXPECT TO HAVE HAPPY CUSTOMERS AND POSITIVE WORD-OF-MOUTH MARKETING WHEN YOU LIE (AND YES, IT WAS A STRAIGHT OUT LIE) TO YOUR CUSTOMERS? Azu was the sales man that first approached us. He was very helpful in trying to help us find what we were looking for. He knew we wanted to buy a used car, and helped steer us to the right one. He was not pushy, but was really informative and really answered our questions openly and honestly. He tried his best to give us the right, fair deal. My wife is pregnant and we were looking for either mid sized SUV or a sedan, but both needed to get good gas mileage. He found us a 2009 Toyota Camry that was a great price with only 44,000 miles on it. Once we decided we wanted to negotiate and buy the car, Billy helped us out. We were in the market for a new car, but were in no hurry to make a choice at this time. After visiting a number of local dealerships in the area, we happened to stop in on our way back home...kind of an afterthought really. We had been looking at smaller SUV-type vehicles and originally viewed models such as the Venza and Rav4. Sam suggested we also take note of the Prius, something we really hadn't even considered up till that point. He also introduced us to Debbie, who took us through the different styles now available for Prius. We were pleasantly surprised at how much we really liked the car, even though it's not aesthetically the kind of vehicle we originally had in mind. It was in line with the pricing we were looking to spend, and we went home to talk about all the cars we saw that day. The following day, I was passing the dealership on my Vespa, and just decided to stop back in to look at the Prius C, which we had not really looked at the day before. I finally took the time to test drive the car with Sam, and he was very accommodating to let me see/feel how it would handle. Long story short, I liked the C, but kept being drawn back to the original Prius IV, as there happened to be one on the lot which was the color and style we liked. With Debbie and Sam's help, and some frank interaction with Andy Winbush, we were able to close a deal on the Prius IV that day. Everyone we have encountered at the dealership has been very kind, and Barbie in finance was a pleasure to deal with as well. We will recommend Thousand Oaks Toyota to anyone who is looking for a car, as we found their activity to be extremely professional and fair. We prefer dealing with local vendors whenever possible, but would not have hesitated in seeking a better deal elsewhere if we had not been treated properly. Kimberly was great to work with. I had done my homework re pricing and car I wanted (Camry Hybrid XLE) and she worked hard to get me the price I required and the exact car I wanted (which required a complicated dealer trade). She was responsive to all of our questions and had great "energy" throughout the entire transaction. Eddie was fantastic in finance, giving us our options with no hard sale. We had been approved by and intended to finance from our credit union but Eddie came in with a better deal and much easier process. We have purchased cars in the past from various competing dealerships but we definitely intend to come back to TO Toyota for our next purchase based on our recent experience. Thousand Oaks provided a wonderful car-buying experience. Al was more than reasonable to negotiate with, even generous and definitely patient. Frankie was diligent, thorough, attentive, and willing to do whatever was necessary to make me comfortable in my new car and trading in my old one. Billy was completely accommodating and patient wtih me, which was necessary during the financing, as I had never bought a car on my own before. I had a great experience at TO Toyota. Billy Lennox and Nirmal Sikdar were extremely helpful, friendly and knowledgeable about their products. I was buying a car for my mom and they worked with me at getting a price that was affordable for her. Buying a car could be painful with all the haggling and negotiating that takes place but Billy and Nirmal knew her budget and found something that was right within the price range. I went in looking to trade in my truck I needed something with a lower monthly payment due to our bad economy I was no longer able to afford my truck ( that I loved and was very up-set to part with). We talked with two people about used cars. They had one on the lot ready for us to inspect, all was good they said. About seven telephone conversations in one afternoon about this vehicle. So we got up early drove the 40 plus miles down there. The salesman was not there, stuck in traffic!! But actually what was worse was the car was not there, had not been there for days, we find out the guy was working from a computer readout to describe the car, he had not even seen it. I had a really positive experience working with Thousand Oaks Toyota. Mitch Bohn, the internet/fleet manager, was great and I bought a new 2011 Prius from him earlier today. Buying cars in the past has always been a hassle (this was the 6th car that I've had to purchase for various reasons over the last 15 years due to accidents and the like) and my purchasing experience today went really smoothly. I got an excellent deal and I wasn't pressured or persuaded into anything against my better judgement. I knew the car I wanted, I had some very competitive quotes already from other dealers (even some in the true car program), but this place was able to beat everyone else on price and selection. Best of all, the buying process was surprisingly pleasant given how frustrating it has sometimes been in the past with other places. I actually had my guard up a bit since I rarely trust car salespeople (and it seems that reviews online of all car places seem to share tons of horror stories), but Mitch turned out to a really great guy, professional and trustworthy. I got the car I wanted and the price I was looking for, quickly and efficiently and would definitely recommend them.

Worst experience ever!!!! I bought a new tundra in July, less than 6 months later the truck pulls hard right. Had it in service 4 times they can't fix it. So instead of standing behind there product. They try to sell me a new truck! Service says there's nothing wrong with my truck so why would the dealer try to sell me a new one! Talked to the general manager took me 4 try's to get his business card. He said he didn't like the way I asked and didn't know why I would be upset about spending over $40,000 on a brand new truck and not have them stand behind it! So he blamed it on the bf goodrich tires that Toyota put on the truck at the factory. Talked to bf goodrich and they said there is nothing wrong with my tires and that they get people in all the time from Toyota of thousand oaks with the same story. My advice RUN! RUN! RUN!RUN! There are plenty of Toyota dealers near by so don't waste your time with this DISHONEST group!

He told me to come back at 10K miles and first oil change is free if bought at their dealership. Months later at 10K miles I called and made an appt w/ Jim. I seriously would give this place a negative rating if I could. THE worst service department I have ever been to! First off let's talk about their waiting room that has 60 year old chairs and 50 year old coffee that is for their "valued" customer. There was nothing comfortable about this place. I felt like bugs were going to crawl out of the sofas. As far as the staff they are the rudest and sleaziest people on earth, especially the two men who I dealt with (one of them was the actual manager). They have no consideration for their costumers and don't care about your satisfaction with their service. They showed no sign of compassion or interest in helping solve the problem I had. They even treated my grandmother, who tried to argue on my behalf, like trash. I wouldn't consider that at all respectable or professional.Basically I took my car in to have the oil light reset because who ever did my oil change before didn't reset it. While it was back in the shop someone at some point did something to my bumper that messed it up. I am assuming during rotating my tires since that was the only thing they did that would have involved the body of my car. Something that was not needed I might add since I had only just purchased the car a few weeks prior from my dealership in the state I am from so my tires were brand new. I noticed that day and took it back and the same gentlemen who helped me earlier took my car back to the body shop and they "fixed" it. I noticed a little chipped paint when it was returned, but I wanted to cut my losses and leave this horrible place. Well about 2 weeks later the problem with the bumper returned so I took it back to them to have it fixed as well as an electrical problem that should be covered by warranty. Now they are claiming they did not do the damage and that I was in some sort of accident,which i was not and there is no dent or scratch to show that I was hit. The only evidence of damage is the chipped paint that they caused when they fixed the bumper the first time. And they won't fix the electrical problem because they believe it might be a result of the "accident" they think I was in.These people are crooks and I wouldn't even send my worst enemy to deal with them. Avoid it at all costs. Toyota seriously needs to look into this place that is representing and selling their brand. If I had gone there for my first Toyota I would certainly not be driving one today.

The two times we have brought our car into Thousand Oaks Toyota for warranty service, each time I am reminded of the phrase, Never argue with idiots, they drag you down to their level and beat you with experienceOur 2009 Toyota Corolla has had problems since we bought it. When starting the engine on cold mornings there would be a metal to metal grinding noise. Each time we would leave the car overnight (so that they could hear the sound). Each time they heard nothing. Finally we stood there as it was started and low and behold a miracle happenedTHEY HEARD THE SOUND. We then had to hand THEM the SERVICE BULLETIN on how to fix the problem.Today we noticed we have to add oil between oil changes, back we go, service consultant (YOBI) told us that, it is normal to use a qt of oil every two thousand miles That would mean that every ten thousand miles I would be adding 5 quarts of oil in a new car!!! My response was Bulls#at$ and asked to arrange to have a factory rep contact us. They do not do that, you have to do it yourself. After checking with Oxnard Toyota, they immediately knew what the problem was. Why you ask, did Oxnard Toyota know the problem when Thousand Oaks Toyota was clueless? Because Oxnard Toyota knew THERE WAS A SERVICE BULLETIN covering the problem. I have purchased 5 cars from this dealership (the last 3 from Al) and each time I have found them helpful, friendly, honest and motivated to make me a great deal! I never felt pressured or rushed. I got stuck in Thousand Oaks with a broken drive belt on my 2003 Camry. Toyota Repair "Advisor" Anthony Ruiz gave a written quote of $98 to repair broken "drive belt" (which I later found out through my honest mechanic, Victor Vongchaisaree of Santa Monica VC Automotive, was the only reason my car overheated). Then, Toyota of Thousand Oaks, Anthony Ruiz called me later and said another belt would be added but none was, and charged me a total of $146.Then, Anthony Ruiz said my radiator was damaged and the radiator was not holding pressure via a test. So, rather than replace radiator cap he insisted that I needed a new radiator at $500 and warned me my car would over heat which it didnt. I lost a whole day driving to LA to have my said mechanic make an additional repair that wasnt needed. So, I refused and took my Camry to my aforementioned regular mechanic and he said my radiator (car) was fine. No -overheating what-so-ever. Toyota of Thousand Oaks is a fraud!!!

Visited the dealership for service. Staff was extremely rude and inefficient. Work conducted was incompetent, resulting in safety hazards. Cost estimates were changed on us twice while work was being conducted (once from 100$ to 1500$, the second time from 700$ to 5000$). Beware of this dealership and service department.

Tried to buy a CPO Camry or Avalon there. Salesman knew almost nothing about the cars and continued to call me to try to get me back to but whatever thay had on the lot instead of what I told them I wanted. Returned to the lot once because "we have the car". A complete lie, as they were just trying to get me into whatever they had because" we're making great deals because it's the end of the month and things have been slow." Right. Like I've never heard that line before. Ended up with a CPO Avalon from a different dealer. It had an issue with one headlight so I took it to T.O. Toyota to at least give service a try. BAD IDEA. As soon as the service writer learns I didn;t buy it there, his whole expression changed. "it may not be warranty" he says. I just bought CPO, and it's still under the original factory warranty I say. "Still may not be warranty and you'll have to authorize $100 up front"!!! I said, fine, but if it's somehow not warranty, CALL ME. Sure enough, the only problem is the headlight is out of "adjustment" AND IT'LL BE $50!! I call to complain to Toyota and they tell them to fix it no questions asked. I get the car back and now the headlight is blinding traffic!! Took it to Ventura Toyota the next day. No hassles, no "you have to authorize $100 up front" B.S. They fixed the automatic leveler and it's perfect again. This place deserves the terrible rating it has. RUN, dont walk away!
