I brought my car in for the first time to get a repair (my headliner was coming off on my hard top) First off, it took them TWO DAYS to even call me and update me about my car, even after I would call and check to see what was going on. This is a high-end car dealer, I would at least expect a call! Then they told me I needed $2500 in repairs. When all was said and done, my car was there for 3 days and all they did was remove one headliner and charge me $250. I would not recommend this place unless you want to drain your bank account and get terrible service.

My husband & I were in the market to replace my 2004 XC90, with 2016 XC 60, which I purchased new in 2003, while living in another state. After months of research, I contacted Fredrik at The Volvo Store in Winter Park, to look at the vehicles. Fredrik cheerfully showed us all of the 2016 XC60's in all of their lots. When it was time to talk numbers we proceded into Fredrik's office within the showroom. We were negotiating a price with Fredrik whom needed to check with his Sales Manager. Little did we know that our assumed PRIVATE conversation was being listened to by Sales Manager Mike Hall. I feel this is Sneaky, unprofessional & very Creepy!!! Hey Mike come sit down & make yourself be known to take part in our conversation, instead of lurking around dark corners & eavesdropping via intercom. When Mike Hall made his grand appearance he insulted us by saying verbatim "You need to do your research." & "We only deal with customers that are highly educated." How dare you!!! Seriously Mike? You're judging us by our T-shirts & shorts, It's summertime in Florida & our day off from practicing Medicine... are we expected to wear our Sunday to buy a vehicle?. Too bad you're so close-minded, I could have written your dealership a check in FULL, like I did on my XC90 in 2003, & in 2012 & 2015 on my kids' new cars. Now who's the one that's not educated Mike? Also, my husband & I will thoroughly enjoy spreading the news to all of our medical/legal friends & colleagues.

Unfortunately I can't give less than one star. I have purchased many cars over the last 20 years and this experience ranks as the worst. For starters the salesman straight up lied about leasing options. He said that Volvo uses it as a bait and switch and that whatever cars are being advertised for the promotion wont be at the dealership. I later confirmed with 3 other Volvo dealerships that they definitely had sign and drive options that were very goodon any vehicle. Other than that, the initial sales experience wasnt badwhen you are in there spending money and things are going their way, everyone is nice and accommodating. However, the second that something goes wrong they become very typical car salesman at a very typical car dealership. We were the last people to leave the dealership and so checking out was somewhat of a rushed process. Once the documents were signed it was all about getting us out of there. The vehicle was not cleaned, nor was there any introduction to our car. We transferred our stuff from the vehicle we traded in and headed out. As we got settled in to the car we quickly realized that the back seat on this vehicle was way too small to accommodate our rear-facing child seat (especially if a normal size adult sits up front). I called them at 8 am the next morning (we left at 8 pm and I called them at 8 amso literally as soon as the business re-opened). I explained my situation to the lady on the phone and told her that I needed them to put the brakes on everything as the car we had purchased the night before was not going to work. I told her that I needed to speak with the sales manager and we may have to come and get our vehicle back. We had a little negative equity in our trade, so worst case scenario I would just take my vehicle back until such time as we found a better alternative. She said, Oh yes, Im looking at your paperwork and have the keys right here. I told her to please have the Sales Manager call me as soon as possible so that I could get a resolution in motion (especially since I live 2 hours away). Several hours passed and I did not hear from anybody. I called back again and again asked for the Sales Manager. I spoke with Mike Hall and told him our dilemma. He told me that they had already sold my car! I told him that the S60 that we purchased was not going to work and that we needed to explore other options. Mike Hall told me that he would be back in touch with me. A couple hours later he had the original sales person (Fredrick Johansson) call me. For starters, the salesman does not have the ability or authority to make the decisions that needed to be made in this situation. Fredrick told me about 2 vehicles that were both 1 to 2 years older than the S60 I had purchased and both had over 30,000 MORE miles that the vehicle I purchased. That obviously wasnt a satisfactory solution. Fredrick told me he would have to speak with his boss and then call me back. That is the last time I heard from anybody at the business. So before Mike Hall or any representative tries to respond to this review and say, I wish you would have given us the opportunity to fix it I did. You didnt return my first urgent call and then pawned me off on the sales staff (who we all know cant resolve this issue). Once they got their money from the sale, they could not care less about the customer.Does that sound like a business that is dedicated to integrity, service and family? It looks good on a website and sounds fine in theory, but when it comes to actions they fail miserablyand by choice.DO NOT buy a car here. If you are set on purchasing a Volvodo yourself a favor and drive to another dealership.

Very happy with The Volvo Store. I take my car there regularly for service. I just recently went in for my 45,000 mile service on my 2011 S60. I'm actually quite surprised to read Mr. William Neary's review. I suppose if I had experienced anything like that, I'd be upset too. I normally go in dressed like a slob and never experience anything like he did. I've dealt with Lou H. a few times and I've also dealt with Mike K. in the past. Both are very nice, polite and helpful. I can't speak for Sales or Parts (aside from speaking with a few salesmen after wandering into the showroom. They had no problem being friendly and chatting it up with me as I waited on my car) as I've never really done business with those departments, but I've been very happy with the Service department.

Joe Thomas from the Volvo Store in Winter Park was very professional and I did not feel pressured. Joe took all the time needed to answer my questions and he spent all his time with me. He DID NOT jump from one customer to another. Joe was also very knowledgeable about the car that I wanted. After my visit, I continued calling and asking more questions about the XC90 SUV and again he was always available, respectful and knowledgeable. I purchased my "dream" car Friday February 21, 2014. Once I signed my papers, he took all the time necessary to go over the car's "gadgets" and he also set up the Bluetooth. If you want to purchase a Volvo, I highly recommended Joe Thomas at The Volvo Store.

I had just bought a vehicle that came from the auto auction and took it in for an used car inspection, I kinda knew some facts about the car from car fax that it had already been there for a couple things so I let him know ahead what I knew and if he could elaborate to me on the car's history there and see if there was a clue about the stuff wrong with it, and 5 minutes later he comes back to me with some very interesting stuff about the car, he was honest and told me to not even worry about looking for more bad stuff on the car it had enough, I was very pleased with his honesty and him going out of his way to help me not get stuck with a lemon car, and he also showed me the quality of,the volvo brand and the dealership service , with no doubt I am already looking for another volvo to buy so I can take it and have him help me with it, employees like this make the brand stand out from the others

My E-mail from 9/27 Hello! Just wanted to let you know we sold our 2011 Volvo C30 last weekend on Sunday 9/22 We purchased a fully loaded Infiniti G37 Sport Coupe We got sick and tired with all the issues and dreaded putting up with the poor service, unprofessional attitudes of service personnel, having to lose 1/2 day to take the car in, then another 1/2 day taking the vehicle back to actually have it worked on. (this happened TWICE to us, once with suspension issues, second with a Fog light bulb that we had called ahead of time to get replaced) Most recent was the HVAC intermittently worked and HVAC fan had a mind of its own, changing speed at random I will NEVER forget my FIRST service visit, where the service greeter, who raised his voice and CURSED at me for being an idiot and a moron for having a 3M clear Bra on the car and how I wasted my money and then adding about the K&N drop in filter that will damage my vehicle since his K&N filter caused over $2000 in damage to his throttle body on his Honda minivan. Being an engineer, teaching nuclear engineering, nuclear plant theory, operation and all supporting systems including HVAC theory, operation. turbines, gasoline engines, etc. I could have EASILY set this gentlemen straight with his error in thinking. But I preferred to be a better person and keep my mouth shut. Based n his vocabulary and use of 4 and 5 letter words, I would likely have been a loss. Issues with vehicle: Left Front suspension (service bulletin, thought we could have right done at same time. leaving dealership with left, had same issue with right... had to bring it back AGAIN) Right Front suspension Left front tire: (Made thumping noise after tire rotated at7500 miles. Finally purchased a new tire to resolve) Fog light Bulb (bulb not in stock in store even though I called a week ahead of time, I could have changed it myself) Fuel Pump Fuel Pump Relay Ignition switch HVAC system (never took vehicle in, traded it in. Let the next person fight with dealer with it HVAC Fan I performed the 37,500 service myself and changed the oil and filter myself with Mobil One because the thought of coming into your dealership again. I am an engineer making a six figure salary. When I came in dressed in a shirt and tie, I was treated well with respect. When I came in shorts and t-shirt, I was treated like a low life. I purposely dressed down. The gentlemen at the parts counter acts like a stuck up snob when I asked about available accessories. (I was in shorts) I had no problem buying $800 of accessories from Ocala Volvo though. They were very happy to take my money! Needless to say, I will be writing to Volvo Corporate and we will never own a Volvo again Please remove me from your email list I will copy your general manager with the letter I send to Volvo Corporate Customer Service Thank you and have a great weekend William E. I was coming in from out of town on vacation, the car battery died in the parking lot of the mall we were in. I had the car towed to The Volvo Store. They kindly greeted me and got all my info to get the car in the shop as quick as possible. Got the car in a very reasonable amount of time (being I didn't have an appointment), their service and professionalism was top notch. I would prefer to be at a dealer because I choose to be there, in this case I was glad to have my car at The Volvo Store for this emergency visit. I will definitely feel comfortable being in the Orlando area on my next vacation knowing The Volvo Store has me covered.

I just had a GREAT service experience provided by Tim Estler who is a service technician at The Volvo Store. I currently drive a Volvo Cross Country Wagon and one of the headlights recently went out. Upon reading the owner's manual in the car, the diagrams led me to believe that the installation would be a breeze. After purchasing the bulb myself, I opened up my hood to find that the manual drastically understated the ease of access to the Low Beam bulb that I was intending to replace. Tim had previously been recommended to me as a contact at the Volvo Store, and done basic maintenance on my car in the past. When I called him with my concern, he kindly mentioned that there were just a few crucial steps and techniques that I needed to be aware of in order to complete the installation. That's right, he TALKED me through it for a little over 10 minutes and helped get me around all the components that stood in my way.Tim was polite, knew EVERY piece of equipment that I needed to touch in order to access and replace this bulb (without even being there), and most importantly didn't insist that I bring my car in for this routine repair. He was friendly and willing to help, and even offered me a "way to go" when it was all over. Thanks for the great service, Tim, and thanks for the complimentary pat on the back. I HIGHLY recommend using the Winter Park Volvo Store, and even more highly recommend contacting Tim Estler for any service needs.

I recently had very bad experience with The Volvo Store in Winter Park FL. I had my car serviced there twice and each time the car was serviced and inspected with comments that everything was normal. The car recently developed a noise so I came by the dealership and I was told that two of the wheels are bent and that is the cause for the noise and it would take $1200 to fix the problem. I took the car to a tire shop for another inspection and they told me that the tires were cupped and that the wheels were fine. I went back to the Volvo store and they told me that yes it was actually the tires that were making the noise and that was because the tires were not rotated during 15000mile serves. Ive tried to explain that I came to the dealership so they can service, inspect, and recommend services for the car. It was to my surprise that, no one has asked me about the tire rotation up until now. They were rude and told me that it wasnt their fault and that I need to replace the tires at my own cost because it was not covered by the warranty.I was very upset because first they did not recommend rotating the tires during 15000mi service, second they wanted me to pay and replace wheels that did not have any problems, and third they gave me false inspection reports that indicated no problem with the tires. It is clear that the Volvo Store in Winter park neglected to properly inspect the car and resolve the problem. I am very disappointed with the quality, experience, and honesty that I received from this dealership. No one including the management at Volvo store admitted that they did a mistake and/or apologized for it.I am forced to pay $504 dollars to replace the tires that were damaged due to negligence of The Volvo Store at Winter park, FL.They don't care about helping people, all they care is about money. They are franchise so the corporate volvo office doesn't have any control over them, so they don't care if their customers are unhappy.

Tim is also a long time Volvo owner so he understands my desire to fix the little things along with doing regular maintenance so that my car remains 100% authentically a Volvo. I'm never left waiting without knowing exactly what's going on with my car and Mr. Estler fully explains all charges so there is never a surprise when I see the bill. OK- I bought a CPO 2008 XC90 in January from the Volvo Store in Winter Park. There were some initial issues, but I thought nothing of it. I was at another car dealer several months later and he informed me that my CPO was in a wreck. I called Bill (sales manager?) at the Volvo Store. He was courteous from the first minute. Within the first 5 minutes I went from extremely aggravated to reassured. After some research--- turns out the 'CarFax' they had was not accurate (not their fault- CarFax went in after the fact and changed the report and did not notify them). There was some question to me about the 'legality' of the transaction and Bill's response was 'Regardless of who is right, you're not happy with the car. Let's figure this out and get you happy." We worked together over the next 2 weeks to come to a fair resolution (more fair to me, by far, then them). Picked up my new 2011 XC90 last night.Everyone (Bill, staff, etc) were as nice as they could be- I thought after the nightmare of the CarFax thing, they would be over me as a customer, but NOT THE CASE. It worked out so well I almost felt guilty.A definite recommend- Bill and his staff are courteous, easy to deal with and put the stigma of bad car dealers aside.

Service dept. repaired a nail in rear tireafter I called at 4:00 pm on trhe Saturday before Easter Sunday. I was leaving on easter to drive 600 miles to our home in NC. The Volvo store service dept. was to close at 5:00 that day, so they had to make room for me to fix the tire that day. They were very courteous and definitely went over and above my expectation considering that it was late on Saturday afternoon and they could have easily said they were too busy and were closing in an hour. That was the answer I expected, but was pleasantly surprised. It is nice to see that good service still exists. I have told numerous friends about this occurence. The Volvo Store should be commended as an outstanding dealership and I look forward to going back.

Once again, Tim Estler epitomizes what a Super Star Service Advisor, as well as Volvo team member, should be! No surprise either based on past service from Tim!I received 2 recall letters for my 2012 S60 on Saturday, July 9 at which time I called Tim. Talk about proactive top-notch service --- Tim already had what he called a Christmas appointment on the books for me for these 2 recalls in that the dealership had been notified that my car could in fact have these defects. Tim was merely waiting for my receipt of the letters from Volvo NA in order for an appointment to be made. Not only was Tim able to get me in that same day so that I would not have to interrupt my work schedule, his team also had the parts available should the inspection result in my car needing the procedures to rectify the recalls, which it did. All the work was completed within that afternoon! Recall letters received, appointment made, repairs completed all within 4 hours! Volvo service simply does not get better than what Tim provides! I see a number of comments about Tim on this site. One recent very satisfied client stated, Tim takes the whole after-sale experience to a new ethereal plane. In my opinion, one needs the Hubble telescope to see the ethereal plane way below where Tim is with his incredible service, coupled with a depth of Volvo knowledge that could only be surpassed if Tim was born into the AB Volvo family! Once again, Tim, you not only hit the mark of excellent service, you achieved a new level! Simply, THANK YOU!

I've always been apprehensive to go to a dealer for service work on my vehicle, but Tim made me feel completely confident and comfortable not only in the service I was getting but in how I was treated as a customer as well. He is friendly, honest and a fantastic representation of who and how a Service Advisor should be. After multiple previous experiences with other repairs to my car, I have been brushed off and treated as just another invoice more times than I can count. But Tim takes the time to explain what needs to be done, why and what can/should/will happen from that point forward for the care and performance of my car. It is so nice to be talked to and not neglected as a customer. I will only bring my car in when Tim is working and highly recommend him to anyone needing/wanting high performance care not only to their vehicle but as a person as well.

I was new to the Orlando area, but not new to Volvo's. Let me start out by saying I normally like to do work on my own cars. That said, I wasn't about to start tinkering with my CPO S40. I've always been apprehensive working with most dealerships because they tend to brush off most customers like...well like most any other customer and in general not make any extra effort on the customers behalf; just work on the car and give it back. Then there's Tim. Tim takes the whole after-sale experience to a new ethereal plane. When I moved to Orlando I needed some work done on the S40 that I couldn't handle. So I reluctantly get on the phone and setup an appointment to bring it in. Tim greets me with a hearty handshake and an explanation of what could be the issue and potential resolutions. Here's where the Service Manager earned his gold star. Tim is nearly 99% right at diagnosing the problem immediately. Why? Tim used to be one of the mechanics at the Volvo Store. What does that mean? Generally speaking, no surprises come bill time! They even offer complimentary enterprise cars (at least for CPO) which means I don't have to schedule 2 weeks in advance or have to worry about not having a car in an emergency! It's almost a shame I live back in Texas, because these guys can't stack up to Tim's friendly/humorous demeanor and all-around super knowledge.

I have seen some negative remarks about this store, but my experience was magnificent! I got the exact car I wanted without any hassle or attempts to up-sell. They gave me the options and I would say, "yes" or "no, thanks" and that was then end of it. Also, since I wanted a specific color car, it had to be transported from another dealership. I was told to expect it in 4 days but it was in town, spit polished and ready to roll in three. After I signed all of the paperwork, Robert spent over an hour with me showing me all of the features of the car and even programed my phone to go directly thru the car phone. This is my first volvo experience and it was superb! I highly recommend this dealership AND my convertible!

I recently purchased a 2012 S60 T5 through another Florida Volvo Dealer due to the price being considerably lower than The Volvo Store. Unfortunately, the price equated to that Sales team's lack of knowledge about this 2012 S60 car, let alone the Sensus system. They used the excuse that the car is new so they "weren't up to speed". But, I was sold on not just Volvo (my 4th Volvo by the way) but on this incredible car. Because of previous service provided by Tim (Service) at The Volvo Store, I called him to get answers to my list of questions which not only did he answer, but also had me come into the dealership when it was convenient for me so he could also show me everything about the car and took me on a couple drives to show me how the car handled from the DSTC to BLIS to City Safe. In a nutshell, Tim is a Volvo expert and gladly shares his knowledge to ensure you know everything about your Volvo so you can enjoy it to the fullest! THAT is on top of the top-notch service (honest, straight-forward service) he ALWAYS provides. In fact, anytime I've needed service, I will only take my car in if Tim is there. Dingman Group, you need to clone Tim in addition to using him as a role model to the rest of your team. You have a problem? GO TO THE VOLVO STORE!! The Service Dept. was professional and very knowledgable. I had my car there for a Check Engine Light and for its oil change service. Mike called me later that day to let me know what was causing the engine light and explained it in layman's terms. When I came to pick up the car I was given an inspection sheet that made me aware of the kind of condition my car was in and helped me budget for upcoming brake work. My experience there made me have faith in dealerships again. The Volvo Store is where I'll be going from now on.

The knowledge, no pressure and friendliness was outragous. The comfort and the treatment i received was like no other experience i have ever received. I actually enjoyed my experience shopping for a car at the Volvo Store, considering car shopping is one of the things i least like to do.

We bought a new 1970 Volvo S-70 GLT SE from June, and got 10 great years of service plus 99 + thousand plus mile of serrvice from it. We decided to trade it in on something a little smaller, thats when we got the V-50 we have now same salesman june sold it to us, while most other car companies are raving about their 2 yr service plans we have a 5 year plan that includes everything but tires. What's not to love about that.

Our car broke down on our way home from Walt. Disney world. We called the volvo store and talked to Lou. He had us to bring the car right in.we discovered that he is from our home town. He got our car in and had us back on the road in the same day. He even gave us a ride to the cheesecake factory for lunch.

Absolutely DO NOT I repeat DO NOT take your car to the Winter Park Volvo Store. I have spent over $4,000.00 on the same problem!!! I have pick up my car 3 times in Dec just to find myself broke down on the side of the road again!! Dave is rude and extremely dishonest. Everytime I get my car back there is something more wrong with it than when I took it in, but somehow they claim it is a new problem. They down right can't do a tune up right! I had to have my brakes re-bled cause I had weak brakes, wasn't like that before it went in! I am told two times later that I need new tires when I didn't need them before I went in! I paid for a new key and it was a cem problem or was it? I paid for a new cem module and a day and half later the codes are back on with no window function!!! Funny the windows worked before I went in! I was told oh no it is the fuel pump just to find out late uhh no it wasn't. Current state broke down and going to the news. I have found nothing but bad reviews on the elite Winter Park Location! Only decent human being in there is Kim in the enterprise department. Spare yourself some big bucks because they are incompetent!!!

Don't bring your Volvo to The Volvo Store in Winter Park for service, especially if you're a woman. We were told we needed a new radiator and new transmission, at the low, low price of $6,000. We took it to another mechanic, who told us that not only was there nothing wrong with the radiator, but the transmission was working perfectly. They are extremely dishonest. We bring our car to Volvo of Tampa to be serviced now. It's a 2 hour drive for us, but at least we know we're not going to be ripped off.

Prices are unbelieveable ($79.00 for a basic oil change). Was told car would be washed before I picked it up - it wasn't.I had to call the Assistance Service Manager twice after 5 PM to find out if my car was ready (he never called me back after he went to check on the status of my car (he called back at 6:13 and said the car was ready, but that I could pick it up tomorrow (since they closed at 6 PM). That was when he said if I came to pick it up after 10 AM, he would have it washed for me. I came at 11:45 AM and it wasn't washed. Oh yeah, then I dropped over $1400 on the work.

I have to say that purchasing my new C70 convertible from Anthony was an amazing experience. His thorough attention to my needs and wishes was uncanny. He listened to what I had to say and responded at each step of the process with professionalism and a truly caring attitude. There was no need to haggle as he quickly and fairly priced the vehicle to both mine and my wides satisfaction. Within 2 hours of meeting this fine young man we were on our way to dinner with the top down having the time of our lives. do yourself a favor, if you are in need of a vehicle call Anthony, he will exceed all your expectations as he did ours!

6/27/04, 3:45 PM.
Despite of me wandering on their lot for 10 min, I was not even approached by a single employee. Went inside to observe a salesman stairing throuhg the window. For him a was nonexistent as if I wasn't there. After standing outside for another five minutes, finally a salesman showed up, made an eye contact with me and, to my amusement, turned around and walked away. That was the final drop into my cup, so I left completely disappointed.
