Super Lemon! If you make a moderate to low income, Do not buy a used car from these folks! You'll spend thousands of dollars to fix it. I didn't do my research and bought a Passat 2006. Lots of problems Had it for 3 years. Engine light keep coming on. They fixed it. Cost Me $2000.00 Engine light still came on. $500.00 for brake work. Exhaust pipe broke at catalytic converter. They wanted $1300.00. It smelled like dirt. I am thinking it was in a flood somewhere. They had Dryer sheets under my seats to mask the smell when i bought it. I didn't know till later. Shady! Oh and lets not forget they said I had slivers of metal in my oil pan. and said it would cost me a pretty penny like $2500.00 to take it a part and fix what ever they were talking about. But it might just be the engine. So it might cost more. I traded that car in and bought something else somewhere else. Never again Volkswagon. Smile in your face and rob you blind! But they did offer me to come in for a complimentary car wash.

Bought a brand new 2015 GTI back in June at this dealership. The price was good (now I know why) and the process was smooth the sales people were nice life was good. I took it for a test drive before buying the car all seemed well but when I arrived home in NY everything would change. First the digital compass failed and was stuck in a constant north heading this happened about 2 months after buying the car. Next the CarNet failed about a month after the compass failed. The green light turned off and the entire system died none of the buttons worked. I quickly got in touch with a representative from CarNet who I was in contact with for a month or two then another rep after the first rep changed jobs. I went to my local VW dealership where they ran a diagnostic and found a certain part wasn't communicating with everything and found that to be the problem but they didn't have the part. Getting the part had to be approved by Volkswagen because it's a very expensive part and wasn't to be replaced until all else failed. After I got the car back everything miraculously worked again the compass the CarNet were operational. Thinking they fixed the problem by rebooting and disconnecting the part I waited. A week later everything was still operational and thinking the problem was fixed I chose to not have the part installed and save everyone time and money. It turned out to be a mistake as once again everything failed a few months later. I got back in contact with my local dealer to have the part replaced. Inbetween the last time I was there I noticed the passenger side center vent was broken. I nor anyone else did this no one ever even adjusted this vent it was broken from the start at the dealership. Another issue I noticed in between visits was a large cunk of paint missing underneath the car exposing the gas tank possibly? It seems the deeper I dig the more problems I find. Could I have hit something while driving yeah it's possible but if something had struck the car it would have to of been big and would have made a very loud noise considering how big the chip is. I have never driven over anything nor heard anything hit the car so it was highly likely it was like that when I bought the car. My local dealer would not fix the chip because I did not buy the car there and didn't think the warranty covered the damage. They want me to get the damage assessed at a nearby body shop to see how much it will cost to fix can you believe this? Back to the CarNet/compass issue. They had the car half the day so I had to go home and come back which is a total of 180 hours of driving time I live 45 minutes away. When I talked to the service manager I was blown away by what he told me after asking him some questions. To make a long story short neither the CarNet or the compass were working!!! I would have gone postal but he told me it may take up to 24 hours for everything to start working. Well 24 hours later nothing was working so I called them and gave them a piece of my mind. So 7 months after buying the car neither is fixed and operational! I'm going to do some research on the lemon law paperwork that came with the car because if this doesn't get fixed soon we're gonna have some serious problems. Keep in mind this is a BRAND NEW car that had 38 miles on it when I bought it this is unacceptable. Not only would I recommend you NOT buy a car at this dealership but that you NOT buy a Volkswagen to begin with. I had a 2010 Mazda 3 that I traded in and I'm sorry I did I never had a single problem with that car. I think most people know about the reliability problems with Volkswagen but I overlooked it and now regret it. The reason Sutliff is at fault is because they didn't bother checking the car or knew about the issues and sold me the car anyways. If they hooked the car up to their computer to run a diagnostic test they would have known there was a problem so either they didn't or did and didn't fix the problem. I also hate bringing my car to the dealer as many do. This particular car has many areas that are prone to scratching and every time I take the car in I notice another scratch inside the car one being on the LCD screen. This whole thing has been a nightmare and is a failure on Sutliff and Volkswagen in general. Thanks for listening and I hope this post helps people that are looking into buying a car at this dealership or a Volkswagen in general.

Had a fantastic experience at Sutliff VW. Im in the Washington, D.C. metro area and could not find a dealer willing to meet my price. Saw on the Sutliff website that they had the exact vehicle I wanted. Called them with the price I was looking for and they said yes. Plus, no documentation fees that you find at all the DC dealers (~$500!!!). I drove up the same day, they had the vehicle ready, took it for a test drive, then painlessly completed the deal. Was out in less than 1 hours. Cant say enough about Janelle (salesperson I dealt with on the phone), Tyler (salesperson who showed me the vehicle and rode with me on the test drive), and Rasheed (finance person). Thanks!!!!!!

Before my first test drive he took the time to show and explain in detail the options that the vehicle contained. He also had a great working knowledge about vehicles in general. I was at your Sutliff Dealership in Harrisburg this past weekend (12/28/13) purchasing a certified Pre-Owned Vehicle and was blown away by the service, knowledge and humility shown to me by salesman Mark Lebo. Not only was Mark very professional and personable, but he was extremely well-versed in his product and interested in finding me a vehicle that met my needs. I had traveled from Erie, PA to view another Volkswagen at another dealership and decided to do business with Mark, not solely because it was a better product, but for the experience and great service that Mark portrayed from the time I pulled up on the lot. It was very clear to see that Mark was very much invested in his work and that further persuaded me to make my purchase with SUTLIFF. It is not everyday you find a Mark working at a dealership!I will be back in the future to do service with them again!

I have been using Sutliff VW for years. I used to have a Saturn when they were a Saturn dealer. I am now on my 2nd VW. The service department sold me on this place years ago. Their techs and service folks are all very professional. Most of their Saturn folks stayed when they became a VW dealer. I would have never considered a VW but I have been very pleased with VW thanks to Sutliff. The VW does feel a lot safer than other cars. And my TDI gets 50 mpg on the highway.

Copied from my new car purchase feedback survey to Volkswagen... I cannot praise Sutliff VW enough, it truly is a first class operation. It all started with their internet sales consultant Ashley Ney. She single-handedly reeled me in (I live 3 hrs away) with her prompt, genuine, and personalized responses to my queries and fair no hidden fee pricing. With more and more people like myself turning to the internet, she is a huge asset to the frontline of their team. I felt like I was dealing with friends through the entire process of buying my 2014 Manual Passat TDI SE. My high opinion continued to grow as I interacted with the sales manager Dave as he explained to me the process and appraised my trade in (of which was completely fair). I was then introduced to sales consultant Aaron Phillips who did an excellent run down of the features of the Passat. Aaron took his time and made sure I understood how to operate everything before he moved on to the next feature. I felt so at home and comfortable with how honest and sincere everyone was with me it was a joy being there. They had my paper work ready in no time and Rasheed walked me through all of my options and he gladly clarified anything I was unsure of. He explained and sold me on the extended warranties/protection plans without being aggressive or using misleading tactics like I've encountered at other dealerships. As an outbound call center manager I understand, appreciate, and admire ethical customer service while remaining a successful sales organization in industries where a few bad eggs have made an overall negative reputation for the good companies like us. I was offered a fair price for both my new car and my trade in without having to haggle, there was never any pressure, and my time and concerns were always respected. The whole experience from beginning to end was seamless, painless, and completely enjoyable. I have done nothing but rave about Sutliff and will be encouraging potential buyers (cars.com, autotrader...etc) to deal with Ashley online I guarantee they will be willing to travel from the other side of the state like i did. If you need a buyers testimonial or any kind of reference I will gladly give back. Sincerely, David Mattiuz

We contacted Sutliff Volkswagon on line. They got back to us immediately. We decided to price the vehicle on line as we already had test driven what we wanted to purchase and decided that is what we wanted. Bottom line is that Sutliff quoted us the best price along with Volkswagon 0% financing. We walked into the dealership and were met by the Manager, Dave Smith, who immediately took us out to our new vehicle which was clean as a whistle and ready to go. Dave was such an approachable, nice guy. He asked Michael Najdek to come out and go over the car with us. Mike was great...he was very knowledgeable and went over the entire vehicle and answered all our questions. What a wonderful personality he has...it was like talking to a relative! Rasheed Creary, the Finance Manager, came out and asked us several questions and then proceeded to do the paperwork. Mike came back out and went over all the books for the car and answered some additional questions that we had. He made our 1000 mile appointment for us as well. Before we knew it Rasheed was calling us in to go over the paperwork and to suggest some additional alternatives for caring for the car. He was clear, concise, and took our kidding well! The entire experience was excellent!!! We can't wait to experience what can only be excellent service in the near future...

I knew I wanted a Volkswagen Jetta TDI Premium with Navigation in Tornado Red. I loved the great gas mileage, and absolutely loved the bright red color! I went to my local dealer, and they tried to push me into a base model gasoline Jetta with no sunroof. Reason being they said I couldn't afford what I wanted. I cried the entire drive home. So my son being the motorhead that he is, did some research and found Sutliff VW in Harrisburg. He called the dealership and spoke to Janelle Orris in the finance department. She was able to get back to me within the hour with a quote for the car that I wanted! They didn't have the EXACT car I wanted, but they located one THAT DAY. I called on a Monday, they went and got the car from another PA dealership on Tuesday and I picked the car up on Wednesday. They truly went above and beyond, and truly WANTED to sell me the car without ever being pushy. Michael Najdek was also wonderful when we arrived at the dealership, went through all the tech-options with us while the paperwork was being drawn up, and made us feel welcome. Sutliff made me want to buy a Volkswagen again, after I was completely turned off my local dealership... It was definitely worth the drive! I would recommend Sutliff to anyone looking for a new or used VW.

Aric, my salesperson, was awesome from start to finish! I walked in not really knowing what I wanted, just that I liked VWs from the experience I had had with my 2002 Jetta. I thought I wanted to look at a new base model Golf, but Aric led me through some questions, and then he had me test drive a 2010 used Jetta with low miles. The car was loaded! I loved the way it drove, too. Plus, it was certified, so it came with the remaining factory warranty PLUS two years/24,000 miles of extended bumber-to-bumper warranty. I purchased the vehicle that night - and I feel like I got a great deal with great service. Aric was never pushy, and really listened. And, even when he knew he made the sale, she still offered up stellar customer service. The dealership closed at 8 pm, at 8:10, he was still on the phone with Sirius Satellite Radio setting up my trial account. He was very thorough and straight up. The experience scores high with me when you compare other experiences with other dealerships in the area. I highly recommend Sutliff VW and especially Aric. Thanks to him, I love driving again!

He knows his vehicles superbly, and he lets the cars "sell themselves." The sales manager, Tom Bischof, also is very professional, friendly, and efficient. Overall, an exceptionally positive experience. When I buy my next VW, I will seek out Mr. Chandra.

I visited the dealership based on some recommendations/reviews on a recent family visit to PA. Since I already own a VW, I thought it would be a great place to start. Nash Chandra helped me through the process of selection explaining the options/features of all the cars without being pushy. I decided I wanted to test drive the VW CC VR6 (fully loaded) which was one of the 4 wheel drive cars that was at the dealership. We went on an extended test drive and by the time I was back I knew this was the car I wanted. Nash gave me some numbers and told me to think about it.I came back to MA and did some research and tried to see if I could find a better deal anywhere in Boston. However I could not find a similar car at the price Sutliff offered me. I immediately called Nash and told him I was ready to buy the car. Nash was very helpful and did all the paperwork for me since I was out of state. He sent me all the documents to sign the next day and within a week I picked up my car from the dealership. Even the day I picked up my car, Nash was there to go over the features of the car again with me.Great experience.

Jonathan Casey is SUPERIOR SERVICE!!! I was in a desperate situation and needed a battery replacement. Within minutes Jonathan was at my home, jumped my vehicle and had me on my way for a replacement. I wouldn't think of taking my car to any other dealer but Sutliff Volkswagen. Their staff is professional, experienced, helpful and friendly. I could not ask for better service!!

I had always wanted to own a VW and was very glad when Sutliff became a VW dealership. I had dealt with them when they were a Saturn dealership(actually bought a Saturn SC coupe in 1991)and was extremely impressed with the genuine friendliness they showed me then.I was a bit apprehensive because I had really enjoyed the Saturn experience and although I wanted to buy a VW I didn't think that experience could be equaled. Much to my wife's and I surprise it was.I did not feel pressured and Tom B. and Mark L. went out of there way to explain to the technically challenged(me)features of the car such as bluetooth and Sirius radio operation. The price was fair-I did my homework- and the process was painless. I would recommend them to anyone interested in being treated like a human being instead of a number.

i give Sutliff high marks for the overall quality of the new car purchase experience i had with them.i 1st went into Sutliff's lot to look for a used Tiguan. Mike came out to see me and we spoke for a bit, then he offered brochures and gave me his card. i went elsewhere to look at used Tiguans and wound up with an offer on a Demo. got the numbers from the *other* dealership then emailed Sutliff with the numbers. Beth, at the internet sales office emailed back almost immediately with a better offer on a vehicle off the showroom floor. in the end it was the combination of the offer- zero miles, brand new vehicle VS the Demo vehicle, and the close proximity to my house from where Sutliff is located that won me over. having said that, i will also add that the dealership is first class all the way, from Mike the sales guy, to Beth at the internet office, to Tom the dealership Manager. Mike was super knowledgeable on all aspects of the Tiguan, and great at explaining everything to me. Beth was really on it, we had an Email exchange in a single day with around 15 total back-and-forth communiques. it was Beth who nailed the numbers down. i worked with the Manager a bit and he was also helpful and knowledgeable, very up front and honest. i felt no pressure at any time to hurry up and make a decision.as for price? well, i felt i got a decent deal but then again, i never bought a new car before- it was still about 30K no matter how you slice it. i feel VW is a really good vehicle for the money. it is true that these guys were almost a grand below the next best deal at the *other* dealer on a NEW Tiguan, and on the one of the showroom floor, Sutliff was only a couple hundred over the Demo *down there*.i felt maybe i could have gotten more on my trade-in, but who doesn't think that? they were close enough that i didn't quibble TOO loudly. they actually dropped their total number by a bit when i tried to gently beat them up a little at the end of the deal. as for service, i can only hope that the service dept. holds up the standard that everyone else seems to operate on/with. time will tell.over all experience thus far = 5 stars.

I went in to Sutliff looking for a new 2011 Jetta S model manual transmission. They had one on the lot. The salesman, Nash Chandra, and I went for an extended test drive. They found the color we wanted at another dealer in Pittsburgh and two days later we had completed the sale with my trade in of a 2000 Mitsubishi Eclipse RS. Nash was a joy to work with, he was extremely knowledgeable about all models that VW has to offer. I did not feel pressured into the purchase, which I have felt at other dealers. I will definitely be recommending Sutliff VW in Harrisburg to others looking for VWs.

I went to Sutliff with no intention of purchasing a new car, I just wanted an estimated value for my 2006 Touareg. I did want to downsize, but wasn't sure what I wanted. Nash was very helpful with my decision by explaining my options as far as more economical Volkswagens. He was very honest and pointed out the pros/cons of keeping my touareg vs. purchasing a new Jetta. After considering all the facts and test driving the Jetta, I knew it was a good decision to trade. Nash made sure I got a good trade on my Touareg and good financing on the new Jetta. I am very pleased with my new 2011 Jetta SE and the customer service I was given at Sutliff VW.

I have had my VW Jetta Sport Wagon serviced at Sutliff since Sutliff opened the VW store. If Sutliff would have owned the VW dealership when I purchased the VW if would have purchased the VW from Sutliff. Sutliff does my routine maintanance on the VW. The right front power door lock need repaired after 18 months. The car was 2,500 miles out of warrentee so I expected to pay for the repair. The service writer contacted VW and VW agreed to pay for the repair due to the age of the car. I feel Sutliff went to bat for me. A friend had an another brand of truck which was 500 miles out of warrentee, he had to pay for his repair. When I call to schedule routine service the service writer and I discuss what needs done and the cost. Some of the items I decide to do myself. The service write doesn't make me feel that only they can work on the car.

These guys are great! I am so glad we have a honest VW dealer in Harrisburg. They are the best! I was treated with respect and did not feel pressured. Their prices are very fair. They also have a shuttle that took me from Harrisburg to Mechanicsburg. I will definitely continue to get my service work done there.

Nash was a friendly, knowledgeable salesman who was not pushy in his approach whatsoever. I felt that he took pride in honesty and providing information, rather than just closing the deal. These things, along with a great car and great financing made for an excellent car buying experience for me, a first time buyer. I would definitely work with Nash again in the future.

I was ignored when I walked in. They offered me much less than Edmunds' value. I was looking for a black 2001 Jetta -- they said bad things about the new Jetta and tried to sell me a red 2010 Jetta which I clearly did not want. So I went to CVM and had a great experience and drove away in the car I wanted.
