Will Sullivan provided me with great service while shopping to replace my beloved truck totaled by a careless driver while working out of town. Will Sullivan responded promptly to my inquiry, and answered all of my questions honestly and thoroughly. I am very confident in their integrity, and would not hesitate to purchase a vehicle from them. Had I not been 600 miles away at the time, I would have been straight to their lot. They seem to only sell good, quality vehicles, unlike many others, just looking to make a buck from people who are already in difficult times in their lives. Fast Replies and Service

I emailed about a car on their website last night and requested that someone call me whenever possible. A car dealer called me back within 30 minutes and made an appointment for me to come in the following morning. I mentioned that I would probably use USAA as my lender, and he encouraged me to apply on their website, as he thought they would be able to get me a better rate.From the time that I went in to the dealership this morning to look at the car to the time that I walked out, the entire process was slightly less than 2 hours. They weren't pushy at all, but got me everything I needed once I was ready to purchase. And, just as the dealer promised, they were able to get me a better rate than USAA by nearly 1 percent.Overall I had a great car buying experience at Sullivans. Everyone was friendly, the service was fast, and they got me a great deal.

Not your conventional car dealer

Usually when you go to car dealerships, you have to be very careful. They will give you so much pressure and push you into buying a car and you are the one stuck with the payments. But sullivans team is nothing like that. They gave me one on one time with the car that I was interested in. There was no pressure from any of the team members. I had the pleasure of working with Josh and Don (I believe). Don was the amazing finance guy who worked his magic to get me the payments that I wanted. In brief, a low stress car buying experience. Will recommend or buy from them without thinking twice.

The Sullivan family is not in the business of selling cars...they're in the business of establishing relationships! The honesty, integrity and commitment to fairness & excellence is what came through so vividly for us while we were in their dealership. Will, Don Jr, and Austin Sullivan know the business inside and out but they're not out to make a buck. They're in business to make a difference. I first encountered Sullivan Auto Trading as a volunteer for WPER during a benefit that they hosted for single-moms who could come in and get their oil changed for free. I watched for an entire day as the Sullivan family gave away products and services to a huge population of single moms who just needed a hand...what a blessing! At the risk of sounding overly melodramatic, while others may pray for a miracle, this family looks for ways to BE the miracle. Unless something radically unforeseen comes to pass, I won't be needing the services of any other dealership or repair facility ever again. I've definitely found a home for that particular need!

Good experience

I bought a used 2008 Chevy truck from Sullivan in July of 2016. Everyone was friendly and helpful. There really was no pressure. I took a couple of trucks for a test drive and one of the salesman even suggested I get the less expensive one for my purposes. So I appreciate the advice. There were a few things wrong with the truck and they took care of all of them. ( Except for a couple of missing screws on the tailgate liner which they did not have). All in all a good experience-so far so good.

Buying a car should always be this way.

Unfortunately, I had a horrible experience prior to coming here with a private seller. I was recommeded here by a buddy of mine and I could not be happier! I had the pleasure of working with Will Sullivan; he took excellent care of me. He wasn't pushy at all when it came down to me purchasing and making my final decisions. The entire staff that I came across and spoke to were very kind. When it comes down to me having to purchase another car I will be back here without a doubt. Their service was great! one of the features of sullivan auto trading was online browsing of every thing on the lot. 4th car I have bought from this dealer. This time I dealt with Will Sullivan and the experience could not have been better. I don't even bother to look at other dealers I just go straight to them.

Owners and sales great! Service not so much...

I bought a nissan altima from them about 2 months ago. The headliner had water damage and they promised to repair it if I bought it. Had to have it brought back 3 times because the repair wasn't working and they eventually ended up just replacing it. They were super apologetic and insistent that they would correct the issue; they also loaned me a car for the times my car was in getting repair for no fee. I felt that Austin, Donald, and Rob were extremely helpful and genuine and wanted to do right by their customers. The issue is with the service department. Each time the car was getting work, I received no calls to update me on the status; I had to call every time to find out that my car was finished and ready to be picked up, but no one was going to bother to tell me. Also, on my second trip, Donald looked at the headliner and told Violet to make phone calls to get quotes and set up a time to get it replaced and then to call me to set up that appointment so that I didn't have to stand there waiting for her to make the calls. 2 weeks later, I never received a phone call to set this up. I called and explained the situation to Nancy who seemed horrified and very apologetic that this was never taken care of. She looked into the situation and immediately called me back to tell me that Violet had never made the phone calls so it would be a little more time before they got it set up! She assured me I would receive a return phone call the next day. Well...once again, I never received the call. 2 days later, I call to see what is going on and am told rather bluntly by Violet that I did not receive a phone call because they needed to make the calls to get the quotes (something that she was to have done 2 weeks prior!!!) with no apology. Eventually, I got this set up and fixed. While the car was there, they were to also look at the pin-stripes because the car only has one on the one side of the car. When I picked it up, Nancy could not remember what the other task was that she was supposed to do. I told her and she wrote it down. She apologized and assured me that she would not forget this time and would call me first thing Monday after talking to the detail person. It is now a week later and I have yet to receive a call....Long story short, they sell you the car with the idea that "when you buy from us, you become a part of our family", but their service department makes this a family you do not want to be a part of. If you need to get work done here, be prepared to follow-up many times to ensure it actually gets done!

First time buyer!!

I couldnt be happier with my expierence at Sullivan's. Our salesman Will Sullivan was PHENOMAL! As a first time buyer I was nervous and he took all the pressure off of buying my first car, he was very knowledgable about the 3 different cars I was interested in as I know nothing about cars and was not pushy and took his time with us. Austin made the financing part a breeze!! I would highly recommend them to ANYBODY! You have a customer for life !!

Purchased a 2010 Chevrolet Equinox. Review: After several weeks of research and investigation, I made contact with Will Sullivan at Sullivan's Auto Trading and asked about a few cars. The following weekend I visited the car lot and met Will in person. We spoke for awhile.. he was pleasant but what really struck me was how straight forward he was. No games. No sales ploys. After test driving several vehicles, I ultimately decided on the Equinox. A small problem with the antenna (of all things, right?) was fixed pro Bono. I couldn't be happier with how I was treated. Seamless!

My wife and I had the privilege of unearthing this hidden gem of a dealership less than a two hour drive from our home in Charlottesville. We were enamored by a Jeep Compass Limited that had exactly what we were looking for. Out of all of my car buying experiences, this was easily my favorite and there have only been three. It was a quick, simple process that involved a trade-in and within about 30-40 minutes we were back on the road in our new car! I personally want to thank Josh, Austin, Donald and the rest of the team at Sullivan Auto Trading for making this such a seamless process for us.

A year later and going strong

I bought a 2007 Nissan Maxima now one year ago and must say the car is still going strong. I travelled from Richmond for my purchase and was not disappointed. I asked for some cosmetic repairs on the car prior to purchase and they gladly honored my request. Overall, I highly recommend this dealer if you are looking for a quality car.

Based on 2 prior used car buys, came back again and experienced the same relaxed, friendly atmosphere. Outstanding Purchase Experience

The customer service experience was the first aspect observed. Every employee that passed by asked if we were being helped. We met with William Sullivan for a 2:00 appointment and immediately felt comfortable. The test drive of the vehicle was great and the paperwork aspect was even better. Austin Sullivan worked with us to ensure our trade-in, loan terms, and overall experience were just right. After ironing out the loan details, William went over every aspect of the paperwork in extensive detail to ensure we understood everything we were signing and the overall process. My daughter was home from college for three days and we needed to find her a used car before she left for her summer job. We had looked at other lots and cars but knew as soon as we pulled into Sullivan's that this was the place for us. Will was welcoming, friendly, helpful and made us feel comfortable from the start. No pushy sales here. One thing that really meant allot to us is their faith based family values when it comes to their business and it is a family owned and run business. We looked at two Sports Utilities within my budget and settled on a 2008 Saturn Vue. I had two minor maintenance concerns which they took care of before we left the lot. In addition I bought a two year extended warranty; since the vehicle is a 2008 I knew this would give me and my daughter peace of mind while she was away for the summer and in college. BEST CAR BUYING EXPERIENCE--EVER!!!

I, literally, can't think of enough words or ways to praise Sullivan Auto Trading. We have purchased many vehicles, and NEVER have we been in and out so fast. . . and, there was NO pressure. Everyone was polite and honest, and it just "felt" right. We drove nearly two hours to come to them and we do not regret it. I will definitely refer them to prospective car buyers. If you need a vehicle, go to Sullivan Auto Trading and ask for Will for sales and Austin for the financial part; they are the perfect tag-team duo! Those two need to do seminars on how to sell cars. Highly recommend

I was very apprehensive about going to a "used car" dealer, but Sullivan was a great choice for me. They were courteous, professional, and accommodating. Even the local Honda dealership recommended them to me as a top used car dealer. I am very pleased with the service I received there and would recommend to anyone. Good selection, low transparency

Decent lot, not exceptional. Very friendly staff, imagine if Chik-Fil-A owned a car dealership. But I feel the southern hospitality "bless you darlin'" vibe is just to draw in a particular crowd and perhaps take advantage of them.Stopped by to check out a Nissan Versa. The carfax was apparantly clean and the car itself seemed fine, it wasn't flawless and had many minor cosmetic inperfections, but Versas have charm, and I needed a new car badly. They were more than accommodating to discuss buying options, but when I asked if the minor issues I could see with the car (missing body clips, small instances of topical rust, disconnected door lining) were simply minor- that there was nothing else wrong (remember the carfax appeared clean) they insisted it was fine.We had a mechanic we used frequently nearby who offered to look at any car we were thinking of buying. Within minutes he was able to deduce that the car had been in a collision that required new body panels, new paint job, replacement components, and many other hidden changes to the body of the car. He suggested we not buy the car, as any seasoned auto mechanic could see the changes immediately.When we returned to give our salesman, Josh Chamberlin, the bad news, he wasn't defensive or confrontational. We told him that we didn't want the car for reasons x, y, and z, and he said "okay, that's fine."Not a horrendous experience, as we didn't have to engage in a protracted debate, but they displayed a casual disregard for the time and money of the customer. They accepted our rejection with practiced nonchalance. There's something to be said for that.

Delightful Dealership!

I have bought many cars over the years, and every time there is a point that I utterly hate the entire process. When the time came for my wife and I to find a new vehicle, I started to get the nasty taste in my mouth again. But then we found Sullivan. We were pleasantly surprised by the selection they had available. We took a couple hours and made the drive to have a look at several vehicles on the lot. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was welcoming and professional. Everyone was very friendly, knowledgeable and ready to help without any pressure at all. We worked with Rob, who after getting my list of vehicles handed me the keys and allowed us to browse at our own pace, only making his presence known when we needed him. It came down to two vehicles. While we were trying to decide, Rob and Austin (the sales manager, who worked up the finances and did an OUTSTANDING job!) gave us very objective, experienced based advice on which car to go with, and did not try and simply push the most expensive on us. We chose an 09 Honda Pilot and could not be happier! Sullivan's beat the price of nearly every single comparable vehicle within a few hour radius of us. The vehicle is in fantastic condition and is exactly what we had been looking for. This was by far the most pleasant and easy car buying experience I have ever had! And to make it that much sweeter, this is a Christian-run outfit and they certainly live up to that calling as far as a business goes. Trust is a hard thing to earn during a used car buying situation, but they earned mine. I will look no further than Sullivan's for all of my future car buying opportunities, and will recommend them highly to everyone I can! Keep up the great work fellas!

Awesome sales at Sullivan auto

I bought a 2005 Jeep Liberty from William at Sullivan auto yesterday. I had been working with him for three weeks. Never once was I pressured. He kept pulling cars around for me to let my son drive. Little history is my son was in a severe accident last May we are very lucky he is alive and he has just been released to drive alone since March. He has been driving my car and he is a senior in high school. I hate it when he walks out the door as I came upon his accident last year and thank god no one else was in the car. He is also lucky to be alive and well. So buying a car for him was emotional and we were looking at used cars but in my mind I didn't want to hear a rattle or anything and I wanted him to feel comfortable. He is 6'4" so he didn't fit heighth wise and he is also tentative after everything. We found the car and William had the wheel bearing fixed and had his service who do a once over again and tweaked some other things. I left feeling like I was there for a reason. Family run business and great to work with and I will go back and I will spread the word regarding their outstanding service and relationships with customers. It was more than just a car sale I left feeling like William was a friend and he got me and my husband and could not be more thankful for how he dealt with us! We were in the market for a SUV and live in Richmond Virginia. I was not excited at all about driving to Fredericksburg to find a vehicle, but I sure am glad my better half talked me into it. We were helped by Will Sullivan personally and there was absolutely no pressure to buy. They had huge selection to choose from and we took our time, narrowed down our choices and made the most comfortable automobile purchase we have ever made. ( 2009 Hyundai Santa Fe ). I purchased a 2004 Honda Pilot SUV for my youngest daughter today. Will Sullivan was my initial phone contact and also my salesman. He was nothing short of amazing! He was courteous, caring, and accommodating over and above all of my expectations. This is a family business and I had the pleasure of meeting several family members (employees). The atmosphere is friendly and stress free. I have purchased many vehicles over the past 42 years in Virginia and North Carolina. Amazing!!

Let's talk about the 2007 Pontiac Torrent I bought today!! First, I've been looking at this car for about a month online. I sent a request for further information and got a response right away from a salesman. William Sullivan was my salesman and he was great. I got to the dealership, looked at the car, and test drove it right away. There was ZERO pressure to do anything but take a look and I was really impressed. I got back and talked to William about a trade in with my current vehicle. I had already looked up the approximate trade value and they were right on the money. In fact, it was so good I didn't even have to worry about an out of pocket today. I sat down with Austin for the financing and we were done in less than 45 minutes. I was really blown away. These guys were top notch and really took care of me. I felt comfortable talking to them, they explained all the contract parts, and even showed me around the building so I could see the professional job they do. It was really cool. I would definitely buy from Sullivan Auto again and I recommend any of you out there to go and LOOK at the vehicles they have on the lot. All are very clean, ready to go, and very competitively priced. The mileage was lower than expected also. Just an all around great experience. AMAZING is the best way I can sum it all up.

They sell broken cars

I visited this dealer to look at a blue 2005 Mazda 6 Sport. The car was described as having "showroom newness," yet it had a very obvious re-paint job on the rear bumper and also a hood that had a different shade of paint than the front fenders and bumper. On the test drive, the engine behaved fine about 90% of the time. However, it would hesitate and sputter at certain RPMs under loads (hills, etc.). I also noticed that the engine would rock excessively (checked when it was parked), so I suspected that an engine mount was badly worn. I described this to the sales manager, and he said that he would have one of his guys look at it. He had asked if I was still interested in it, and I said yes, expecting a call back. Didn't get one. Called back over a week later and asked about the car. Sales guy said they would check with the mechanics and call me back. No call back. I called agian and they said that mechanics didn't notice any engine noise (which wasn't even the problem I described) and they didn't repair the car, so I guess they are hoping the next customer doesn't notice.

Overall GREAT experience

I called the dealership on a Saturday afternoon to ask if they still had the used Honda I saw online. Bryce answered the phone and said yes. I asked if he was open on Sundays and he said no but gave me his cell number. I contacted him the next day (Sunday) and asked if I could come get the car in a few hours. He gave a call to the owners, they said yes, and he met me there around 2:00. After a test drive, I signed a few papers, grabbed the keys and headed home. It was an awesome experience. No pressure at all. Bryce went out of his way to help me. I will continue to buy vehicles from them and recommend them to others. Can't thank them enough. The car is doing great and I just love it!!!!!!!!!

Good Dealership

A few weeks ago I purchased and 07 VW Passat. I was hesitant at first, since most car salesman consistently get a bad rep sheet. But Sullivan's Auto Trading proved to be a really good dealership. I worked with Will to purchase my car and he made the process easy. He took care of the minor repair that the car needed just as he promised and provided everything I needed and answered all 1000 of my questions. I'd recommend this dealership to everyone. Five Star Experience

My husband and I were not looking forward to buying a car because of our last experience at a dealership. But Sullivan's was a completely different experience. They were friendly, honest and not pushy. Austin let us take the car to a mechanic and get it looked at (the mechanic found nothing). He also gave us an excellent price for our trade-in.

Best for First Car!!

I just recently bought my first car here. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. I looked other places And none of them were as nice or fair priced. They were just trying to suck money out of me. But when I came to Sullivan everyone was very nice. The original car I was looking at was bought the day before I came in to pay for it. (My mistake for not putting money down on it, so I thought.) I expressed my dissapointment with Bryce and he was able to hook me up with something much better all around. I'm a full believer that everything happens for a reason, and because of Sullivan Auto I believe I got the car I was meant to have. So far all repairs I've needed have been free and any concerns with the car that I mentioned were fixed before I drove off the lot. I highly suggest going with their extended warranty because it involves just about everything that could go wrong. I will be with Sullivan until I move. Five stars all the way! Love you guys!

Exceptional company!

My husband and I were very thankful that we found Sullivan's thru USAA ins. co. as a certified dealer. After my car was totaled by a reckless driver, it was overwhelming trying to locate a replacement car. We bought a Toyota Highlander and added a warranty package. Sullivan's is a full service operation and they made any repairs that we needed there at their shop. Will made our lives easier in finalizing all thru USAA. We live hours away from Sullivan's but it was worth the drive to work with a family owned business who cares about their clients. Will stated that we can have our oil changed for a minimal amount and our inspection for free when I travel to work in the area. What more could you ask for!

Buying a car here was one of the best experiences I have ever had with only one caveat. The pluses include great response time, what seemed like a fair price for the car I purchased and it was everything I wanted and more. There was never any pressure to purchase - a really big plus in dealer relationships. My salesman was relatively new to the business of being a salesman but that did not get in the way of his drive and motivation to make sure I was happy. The staff worked hard to make sure that my needs were met. The caveat I mentioned had to do with a really simple thing - doors locking with the remote key. I never would have checked myself but on a test drive I stopped to get coffee and I always lock my car. I was surprised that the dealership hadn't caught that one. The repair was done without question but the miscommunication among repair personnel and the sales staff cost me an entire day at the location - only because I drove 65 miles to get there. Even here there was a convenience as lunch was provided to me and my companion driver by my salesman. You don't get much better than that! Highly recommend these folks.

The best car buying experience we've had!

We found Sullivan's while researching on-line. When we got there, we found Austen Sullivan. He was extremely helpful and not at all pushy. We had 2 cars in mind to see/test. Both were economy/fuel efficient and relatively inexpensive. He showed us those cars with no attempt at shoving us into more expensive vehicles (which had been our experience at 2 other places within the past week!). We chose a car, shopped our loan - they offer financing at good rates, but in this case our credit union beat it. The process took just a couple of hours and we were on our way in our new (to us) car. They had a good selection, are up front about their pricing, and the CarFax reports are readily available - this was important to us. They offer inexpensive oil changes and free inspections as a part of the deal as well. Shop here!

Great experience. Honest and personal people. No haggle or hassle. Extremely proffesional at every step of the buying process. I can see us becoming customers for life. They went the extra mile for us on every request to the extent financially possible. I will definitely be calling them for our next purchase. They are also Christian run and operated and that perosnally means a lot to me. if you are not a Christian thent he values I saw during my experience will still mean a lot to you!

Awesome dealership!

We came in, the place is low pressure, nice southern hospitality and they gave us a crazy deal on a car that we found. We had an inspection done and one of the parts in the car had an issue so we gave Austin a call and they agreed to fix it for no charge. Great dealership overall and I'd recommend it to any friend.

First time buying a car.

I traveled to VA from West Virginia looking at a few cars i had found online. With no luck, I was driving past and figured I would stop to see what all was at this lot. I was surprised by the size of the inventory and affordability offered. This was my first time buying a car and Will and his team made it incredibly easy for me. I'm a server so a lot of my income is cash and doesn't ever make it to the bank which makes it a little harder to get a loan. They tried their hardest to get me approved and it worked! Very laid back atmosphere and excellent service. Definitely would recommend Sullivan's to anyone looking for a vehicle, and will return when it's time for another one.

Not Happy

I am extremely disappointed with this dealer. I was very interested to buy an Expedition. I saw one I was interested in. I contacted the dealer through Cars.com and never heard a response. Makes me wonder how they would treat me if I made the time to visit them in person.

Completely Satisfied

My dad has been familiar with Sullivan Auto for a long time and took me there to look at a car he saw online. Unfortunately it had been sold already, so we looked around at other inventory on the lot. There was no pressure, no one bothered us or followed us around. We took our time and once we found two cars we liked were given the keys and eventually test drove one of them. It was the car I ended up buying, a 2008 Hyundai with low miles, very clean (looked brand new) and was priced great. I have less than perfect credit and Will worked very hard to get me great financing on the car, and came in the under the amount I wanted to pay monthly. The car needed a new battery which they promptly replaced with a new one. Will also ordered me brand new mats and an extra key for the car. Another great service they offer to all customers who purchase vehicles is FREE yearly state inspections, and half off oil changes! Sullivan Auto, Will especially, was very good to me and my dad. They have definitely earned my business and I would recommend them to anyone looking for a new/used car.

Lifetime Customers

I was one of those persons who would conduct 6 months worth of searching and reading reviews before going to a dealership. A car is not an asset to begin with so if you are spending your money, you don't want to feel terrible a couple of days later. My husband and I went one Saturday after reading reviews, and we greeted with open arms. We told them the car we were looking at, and immediately they passed over the keys for a test drive. Bryce gave an overview and friendly conversation and we were on the road testing everything out! Five minutes of driving...we loved the car. It purred like a kitten and even though it was over 100K it was in great condition. We came back to the dealership and Will was ready for us. Now in the past, I felt like buying a car was an all day experience. Tons a paperwork, haggling and not to mention not understanding half the documents you had to sign. Not this time at all. We were in an out with our car in about 1 hour...any extra time was simply cleaning it up for us. Will, and his brother "The Finance Guy" got us a great interest rate in about 15 minutes. Below what I budgeted for my monthly payments to be! For the first time I understood EACH AND EVERY document and EACH AND EVERY number of the contract. I literally had no questions. While waiting we got an opportunity to take a quick tour through the facility and the best part of all meeting the owner Mr. Sullivan. We have never met someone in business so authentic and genuine about providing quality to his customers. He blessed my husband and I with stories of faith and closed out with prayer. Hands down...one of the best Saturday morning experiences in a while. I rarely write reviews, but this one was warranted. When we look for our next car, even though it was an hour ride, it was worth every mile and minute. Thank you for impacting our lives!

Awesome experience!

After two months of having no car and car shopping from Northern Virginia to Richmond I found myself just across the street from where I work buying a car, at Sullivan's. A friend had been googling local car dealers in Fredericksburg/Stafford for me and I was having no luck. Finally, he sent me to Sullivan's Auto Trading website where I found over 15 cars within my price range before I decided to take my search from the website to their dealership. Arriving late one evening, I test drove two Mazda's but had my eye on a Nissan Altima that wasn't quite ready. After thinking on the Mazda's I decided I would contact William Sullivan and tell him how interested I really was in the Altima and see if I could get financed. I went over after work to test drive the Altima while they finished up with the banks for my approval and there I found myself over two months of car shopping the best experience I had had! Not only was their customer servicing amazing but all their cars were in excellent shape. With a few minor issues I found typical for a used car they took care of them with no questions asked. Most importantly they got me in the car I wanted at the price I wanted and was comfortable with without hassling me to buy a more expensive car with payments outside of my budget. They have definitely made my car buying experience great and I will return in the future for purchases and service as well as continue referring them!

Amazing car buying experience!

We bought a car here 5yrs ago but with a growing family it was time to upgrade. My husband and I came in looking for a minivan and settled on a 2010 Chrysler Town & Country. Mary worked around the clock for us and got us approved for the loan and payment we wanted. Very fair & honest dealership, wouldn't buy a vehicle any where else!!

Service plus!!

I recently bought a great 2005 Chrysler crossfire from Mary and Austin. They made the process both easy and enjoyable. All my questions...even the dumb ones were answered cheerfully. After I brought the car home I have had a ghost tire warning light...tire is fine, it just thinks it is low. They have replaced all the sensors and when that didn't cure the problem they are working with the local dealer to solve the issue. Thank you,Mary,Austin,Nancy and Brice in the service department. What could have been a big hassle has been only a little blip. I strongly recommend Sullivan's to anyone looking for a used vehicle!!

Great business.

I was very cautious about buying a used car as I had bad experiences in the past with other dealerships. This was not the case with Sullivans. Mary, one of the sales reps, took good care of me and wasn't pushy at all. They let me test drive the car three times and also take the car to a mechanic during one of these test drives. Two weeks after buying my Jeep, there was a leak in the sunroof due to the excessive snow we have been getting. They fixed the problem the same day and did not charge me a dime. I recommend Sullivans to anyone who is buying a used car. Very good prices, professionalism, and great customer service.

Highest quality used cars for a great price

I purchased a 2004 Mustang GT from Sullivan back in July 2014. When my father and I arrived, they were very pleasant and let us test drive the car with no pressure. I fell in love with the car, So we went in to talk numbers with Austin. He got us the best loan he could and gave us a great deal on the car. The car is very mechanically sound and runs and drives great still to this day. If you're looking to buy a car, don't hesitate. This is the place to go!

The best car buying experience I've ever had

I got a primo deal on a BMW that I would never have been able to afford otherwise. Will spent an entire day with me test driving cars--only for me to get the one he suggested to me a week earlier over the phone when he scrubbed through his entire inventory to make recommendations. My old car died and was sitting in their shop for two weeks while I was deliberating on what to do. They were so patient and helpful -- and really looking out for my best interest. It was like car shopping with my big brother. It was a logistical nightmare for me to come back to Sullivan's to pick up the new car after (they insisted!) it was detailed again because of the snow. So, they actually worked with me to have it flat bedded up to my house the next week. Amazing! Will even went out in the snow to try to find the hide-a-key that was under my old car and put it on the new car. I just really can't believe how well I was treated. I will never buy another car at a dealership when I can get this kind of family business experience. Thank you so much, Sullivans. I only gave you a 4 on facilities because you're renovating.

Nice guys...They raised the bar

I met Will when I came to trade in my 2004 Nissan 350Z Roadster, and he waited in the store until I came down from work in DC (we all know how that can be headed south). I saw the vehicle in person, but it needed some repairs and he worked quickly to get it ready for me. Although, it needed some repairs Will and his father assured me that I would use a loaner, similar in my style of vehicle a 2007 Cadillac SRX, and they were serious. Bottom line, they are great guys and gave me a fair trade on my car. Buy your car from them and avoid some of the fly by night dealers that are nearby in Stafford and Fredericksburg.

Love my car

It's been several months now since I bought my BMW from Sullivan's. My husband & I had gone there with our nephew & his wife looking at an Excursion, while we were there we saw the BMW. My husband made a comment at how nice it looked, we looked at it then we kinda went on with them to get their Excursion. Once we were home ,I just couldn't get that car off my mind( we live about 50 miles away). Finally one evening I told my husband that I thought I was going to run up the next day & take a closer look! Long story short.......we bought it & absolutely love it, it is our second car so we don't have to drive it everyday so it stay in the garage a lot, but when we do drive it, we love if!!!! Car Purchase Made Easy!

My first-time-car-buyer experience was not going that well. After visiting a couple of car dealers in Fairfax area (that were treating me like an easy prey), I had found the car I wanted at Sullivan's website for the best price available. It was a long drive, but why not?! Thank God I decided to go for a visit on that day! The staff is very friendly. William greeted me, and soon after handed me the keys for a test-drive. All by myself, which I loved since I could pay all my attention to the car. Donald made the financing process easy to understand and answered all the questions I had. For the first time, I was feeling comfortable with the idea of acquiring a newer car. Left their place with the key of my new ride in my hands! Exceeded My Expectations

The condition of the Highlander exceeded my expectations in ALL aspects. This is the first time I have ever bought a vehicle without looking someone in the eye and shaking a hand on the deal. The thought of purchasing a vehicle ONLINE from someone I had never met was something I had not tried. BUT, the price and description of the vehicle seemed like a deal I could not pass up. So I was willing to take the risk and try an online purchase. Turned out GREAT! The Sullivan team helped me set aside my concerns about an online purchase. You guys are to be commended for making the process both personal and professional. I could not have asked for a better outcome! Integrity in serious doubt

I bought a 2005 Nissan Sentra last year at Sullivan's Auto Trading in Fredericksburg, VA last year. The Carfax report was solid except for a minor fender bender. The only thing that was a little questionable was that it was short. Over the past year there were many little issues that popped up on it - which isn't the fault of Sullivan's. It had 72,000 miles on it when I bought it and it was easily the best priced car in the area - and I was on a budget. The heat and AC stopped working recently, so I took it to a mechanic and they couldn't figure out the problem. I took it to another one and they also couldn't figure it out and they recommended I trade it in while it was still running because online it seemed to be a common issue in Nissan Sentras and could cause a problem in the long run. The Kelley Blue Book value for Good was ranged from $2,600 - $3,100. When I brought it to the dealership to trade in, the salesman came back with a Carfax report that was significantly longer than the one I had seen through Sullivan's website. This one had much more detail and included a large accident that the car had been in that caused structural damage. This really lowered the value of the car. I am very disappointed in the dishonesty of Sullivans. This ended up costing me about 4,000 dollars and a higher car payment on the new vehicle. I likely would never have even purchased the vehicle at the price I did had I known about this. Sullivan's does have good prices, but I doubt their integrity and therefore I cannot recommend them to anyone!

Good Buying Experience

I went to Sullivan Auto Trading 01/16/2015 to purchase a 2003 Silverado.I had been talking with William about the vehicle for a few days before hand.Went i got to the dealership to meet William to see the vehicle he immediatedly pulled it up, answered any questions i had and got it ready for me to test drive.The vehicle was really nice and also a great price compared to others i had previously looked at.When i got back to the dealership i met with William again and let him know i wanted to try and get financing to buy the vehicle and he sat down with me to get some info and did a appraisal on my trade.He was very pleasant to deal with.After we finished discussing everything he passed the deal on to Austin the Finance Manager and he crunched some numbers and was able to get me good financing at a good rate.He also was willing to come out and give me a hand swapping over my bed cover from my old truck to the new one.Thanks Austin! I will be going to see them again the next time i purchase a vehicle.

BEST BUYING EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE!

I had an amazing car shopping experience for my girlfriend at Sullivan's. I was very nervous at first looking for used cars and not being able to trust anyone, however the crew at Sullivan's are a CLASS ACT. This was the best car buying experience of my life, they were courteous and helpful throughout the whole process and answered a million of my questions as silly as they may have been. They provide the carfax for each vehicle and are honest and upfront about everything. Once we found the vehicle we liked they even fixed a minor issue prior to purchasing in their own body shop on the same day on the spot! Also they even went as far as ordering additional items that we requested (floor mats, license plate frame, tire caps), they helped find the best financing deal for us, and as a cherry on top they gave the car a wash/wax and a FULL TANK OF GAS! Needless to say, I know where I will be purchasing my future vehicles from and I can honestly say I have made friends at Sullivan's. We were not pressured at anytime to make a purchase and highly recommend this place if you want a relaxing enjoyable buying experience. BEST Car Experience I ever had

I am 58-years-old and most of my life, dread the whole car buying experience. This is the first time EVER in my life that I had a very comfortable and enjoyable experience buying a car from the Sullivans. Additionally, Mary, the finance gal, was very knowledgeable and professional and gave us the very BEST product we could have received. KUDOS - whatever they did IT WORKED!!

Took our Ford Escape to Sullivan's to get it professionally detailed!!! Unfortunately some water leaked from a cooler and not realizing it after two weeks, the damage was already done. BAD MILDEW SMELL!! Everyone that road in my car (which by the way is almost brand new) asked me what that horrible smell was. SO we heard about Sullivan's and THEY REALLY CAME THROUGH FOR US!!! We picked up that car and not only was I amazed at how clean the car smelled, my granddaughter just asked me what I FINALLY did to get that awful smell out of my car. THANK YOU SULLIVAN, your staff did an amazing job on the detailing. I WILL BE BACK IN ABOUT 3 MONTHS TO GET IT DONE AGAIN!!!!

Car buying made easy and enjoyable!

On my 4th day of car-shopping, I stopped by Sullivan Auto Trading to check out a couple of vehicles I had seen on their on-line inventory listing. I was impressed by their courteous customer service and their immediate attention, which was far from being the norm of the experiences I had the previous days. In addition to their friendliness, I also experienced a relaxed and no-pressure atmosphere that was refreshing and allowed me to make a well educated decision about which vehicle to purchase. In fact, I was encouraged "to think about it and come back if I had more questions." I did exactly that. Thank you again for giving me the time to decide, for having the car ready when you said it would be, and for providing excellent service all around.

Why would you go anywhere else?

We were in for service last weekend. It was like visiting family. The team at Sullivan's makes you feel like a welcomed member of the family from the moment you walk in. Everyone is sincerely helpful and there to meet your needs. I was having trouble with the 4-wheel drive in my Jeep. The repair was made in a timely manner. While we were waiting, they checked on us several times to make sure we were comfortable and to update us on the repairs. Joe even took me out for a test drive to give me a lesson on how to use the 4-wheel drive. I feel like he went over and above to make sure things were right, and I was comfortable with it before we left. My husband sold cars for over 25 years. He and I are so impressed with the whole team at Sullivan's. They are honest and you know they are going to take care of you from beginning to end. I would recommend them to everyone - for sales and service. I am so grateful that we have found this wonderful dealership.

Best car buying experience I have ever had !

My wife and I were in the market for a new minivan and we were searching online for something affordable . We came across a 2008 chrysler town and country with low miles for a great price. It was a holiday and when I called I was told everyone was leaving at 6 so if we were able to make it they would be happy to help us. It was about 430 when I called and we live about an hour away so i called and asked if another day would be better because we would end up being so close to closing, the lady I spoke with said to come on over and that it was fine . So we drove there and got in about 530 there was 2 people working and Donald seemed more than happy to stay and help us . I was very surprised at the level of service we received coupled with the no pressure sales environment they let us look at the car and take it for a test drive with absolutely no pressure no typical sales tactics and a refreshingly pleasing experience . They offered me a fair trade in value and a fair price on the minivan as well as transparency that I am definitely not used to coming from a sales person Donald was the only one there after a short time of us being there and he told us repeatedly to take our time think it over . He ended up staying there with us until about 830, I really feel that these are people who are concerned not just about making money but the experience their customers receive and making sure they provide the best service they possibly can while not putting pressure on the client to buy. These are people who operate with integrity and have spent time and energy building a good reputation. I will be looking them up for sure on my next purchase !!

Great place to buy

This was a great place to purchase a car. The staff and the service are number 1. I purchased a Ford Explorer on a Saturday and that same day I had a problem with the transmission, when I got home I called and they said to bring it back on Monday morning. When I arrived on Monday they checked out the trans and said it was bad, with no questions they replaced the transmission and gave me a car to drive while it was being fixed. I would go and purchase again because of the great service I received.

Best buying experience ever.

This was the most pleasant and simplest auto purchase we have ever had. Austin was awesome and took his time to stay late while we looked at vehicles. Also he worked on our loan/interest rate and paperwork during the day so by the time we got off of work everything was ready to go for us. The vehicles are quality and the prices are very fair.I would highly recommend paying a visit to these guys if you are looking for a vehicle.

Never again

WHAT A GEM! Never again will I buy a car from anywhere else. Sullivan's is the best car buying experience. Austin was nothing but helpful and polite. Every edit I wanted was made to the car and in good timing without upping the price. As a 25 year old blonde girl, it's easy for car dealerships to think they can pull a fast one on you. Austin's advice and integrity made me feel confident when trading in my car for one on his lot. It was the best decision I have ever made. Go choose a car from his lot. You'll be pleasantly surprised.

WASN'T WORTH THE WAIT

I heard about Sullivan's through a family member and decided to check them out. I called a few times to get information on purchasing a vehicle and I must say they either need a larger staff or a class on CUSTOMER SERVICE. The guy I talked to seemed short and uninterested therefore making me second guess my possible purchase from them. Overall I ended up calling several times only to get pushed to the side. They may have great cars, but I won't attempt to find out.

We were looking on the internet, for vehicles at the same time, as my son in Lynchburg. They loved this Town and Country and we loved a 4X4 explorer. They drove up from Lynchburg and we met there. Austin had us driving the Explorer while he was getting the Town and Country ready for my son's family. Being a Mom and wanting to protect my kids from being taken advantage and claiming to be a Christian based business it seemed to good to be true. It is true, they do stand behind their vehicles. We both had some work done after purchasing them some of it was covered under warranty. The next week, we brought my daughter and her family and they purchased a Honda Odyssey. As a Mom, I am glad that Sullivans' is a great place to buy vehicles. If we ever need another one, we will trust Sullivans' to treat us right. I know they stand before a Higher Authority.

A Great Value and a Great Dealership

My wife and I cannot express how satisfied we are with our experience at Sullivan Auto Trading! We had been looking up and down the eastern seaboard from Pennsylvania to North Carolina for the right minivan for our growing family. Fortunately, my wife came across an advertisement for an '08 Honda Odyssey at Sullivan. I was a little skeptical at first, wondering how the price could be so low. It started out slow because of small issues with the vehicle I seen online. But we were able to work out the recall and repair problems.

would never buy from again

I bought a vehicle December, 2013 from Sullivans.I noticed while test driving it that the front end had a slight vibration and was already late in the evening after i got back from the test ride.I told Mary Cale about it and discussed if i went ahead and bought it, the issue could be addressed another day by calling and setting up a appointment.I took the vehicle back in a little over a week later due to a 65 hr a week work schedule after setting up a appointment and requested they check the front end.Tie rods, ball joints etc.They came in the waiting area about 15 min later and told me i should probably replace the tires and never even checked the front end for play as i requested, but did rotate the tires for me.I took the vehicle a few days later to get a aftermarket exhaust put on, which was good because the guy said the old exhaust wasnt looking too good when he got it on the lift and also noticed the rear u joint was about to fall out of it.Also among these issues and only owning the vehicle 2 months i've had to replace all 4 shocks, both front wheel hub assembles, front rotors due to bad rust, brake pads and one of the caliper brackets because the bolts were froze.The vehicle did also have a fresh state inspection on it, when i bough it and these were all related issues.I have also contacted Sullivans a few times while replacing parts and fixing these issues and werent very helpful on fixing or reimbursing for some of the $ spent either.

No Pressure Environment!

After a few weeks of searching online I found that Sullivan Auto Trading had a few SUVs that I was interested in purchasing for my wife. Not only did the sales agent go out of his way to deal with our hectic schedule that day (we had to leave during the middle of the process and return later) he was completely professional in every way. His friendly attitude and the genuine effort to make sure we were satisfied were both greatly appreciated. The best part though, was the no pressure atmosphere. From the moment we showed up to browse their inventory, not a single push was made to select one car or even get us to test drive. While the staff expressed a complete willingness to help us should we want to test drive, there were no "Pushy Salesmen" as is common in this industry from my own experience. I purchased a used SUV from Sullivan Auto Traders in January 2014. The whole experience was very pleasant and surprisingly efficient. Every time I called the dealer by phone, I received accurate information. The vehicle was in very good condition and matched the description. I conducted the transaction with Donald who was very pleasant, honest, and efficient. The vehicle was priced very competitively and was nicely reconditioned. Even though the car was sold "as is," the dealership addressed an emission problem shortly after I bought the car. All in all, I would highly recommend this dealership, and will likely visit it again when the time comes to buy another used vehicle in the future.

Good buy-trade experience with these guys.

Very professionally run used car dealership. They are right down the road from the auto auction site in Fredericksburg, VA so I'm sure at least 60% of the cars they sell are from there. They don't haggle with the price as they are a fair shake in the first place. Similar to Carmax with the way they do business without the inflated asking price. They know how to pick clean vehicles that they check in house (at least that is what I deduced by seeing how the operation is run). It's a family business that sells in higher volume, which is in my opinion the way you want to buy as a lot of dealers will sell less per month but will charge you more for the same vehicle offered at Sullivan. All of the employees seem to be happy and will go out of the way for a customer and that is usually the sign of a well run business so I applaud Sullivan. Good value for my trade and it was fair using the wholesale black book pricing.

Truely Good People

My wife and I, was looking for a reasonably priced second vehicle. we looked all over the net for a SUVs in our price range. I happened upon these guys, and gave them the "stink face" because there prices were to good to be true. So i stopped looking for a car and started looking into these guys, and everything i found came up fine. There were a couple of bad reviews, but 10 times more great reviews. So the wife and I started looking through there inventory and found about 7 SUV's that fit what we were looking for. we planned to go the following weekend (8 day away) to look at the SUV's. However after 4 days, 4 of the cars we were looking at sold and we took one off the list because we (my wife) didn't like the look of it. now down to 2 we decided to head there tonight. As soon as we got there the staff was very welcoming. My wife (who takes pride in destroying sales people) did all of the talking, and before i knew what was going on she and the office's Lady Friday were sharing stories about Christmas Trees (only women, right). They put us in our first pick SUV right away. when we ask to try our second pick that car was no longer available (sold). Started paperwork with Austin, great guy, who talked us through everything. He realy took the time to make sure all our concerns were met. My wife, who beleaves sales people are just trying to get over on people, realy got along well with him. After wittnessing the minor act of god, that was my wife happy about comitting to spending a few grand over 5 years and happy about it, i felt like i was the one getting over on someone. pros - great inventory, great people, great prices, great people (i know i said this twice) cons - cars sell fast.

Can't put a price on a piece of mind

I wanted to stick to my goal of paying a car off in 3 years (when I retire). I wanted a used car which was dependable and a decent amount of bang for the buck. I can't tell you how stressful and discouraging it is to go from dealer to dealer in the NOVA area to look at cars. I knew my price point and I knew what make....now to find a dealer....one single dealer that did not misrepresent or lie about the vehicle I wanted. I went to all the big boys in Fredericksburg and the Chantilly area. I was sickened by the people who have no qualms about wanting to sell you a car that was in a major flood, misrepresent the price (what was on the internet and what they said in the showroom) or tell you that car is not for sale and never was--they just want you to go out of your way after a long day of work in rush hour traffic for no reason. I finally found Sullivan Auto Trading. I will tell you that I was hesitant....a used lot? Will be like those shifty dealers on the pike? These people are amazing....from the receptionist, the mechanics, the sales people and finally Austin the general sales manager. He was up front, honest, he tells it like it is. I make a purchase and I will be forever grateful to them for giving me a piece of mind....after thinking I was going to lose my mind if I didn't find a car. I can't say enough about them, in this world of thinking being deceitful to others is fashionable...it is good to know there are honest and honorable business people out there who pretty much guide their business by the golden rule.

Another great day at Sullivan's! We had a wonderful experience when buying our Jeep. We recently took it back for a little repair work. We had an appointment, and we were helped as soon as we arrived. While we were waiting, I think almost everyone in the office said hello to us and offered coffee, etc. - treating us just like family. Our service was done efficiently, and we were soon on our way. They have been so kind and accommodating to us, we would never consider any other dealer for sales or service. They are complete professionals, and what a relief to have a dealership we can trust. Many, many thanks to Sullivan's again!

Searching for used car for college student living far away. Impressed by VERY low-key and open sales approach. They didn't push stuff I didn't want (e.g. extended warranty) after mentioning these things. Family owned & run business. Polite, courteous and helpful sales staff that was very patient. I must have test-driven 6 cars on their lot and inspected another half-dozen. Cars are bought at auction, repaired/reconditioned in-house and sold "as-is". Got a tour of their shop and was allowed to look at cars still in the process of reconditioning. Seemed to be very forthcoming about warts or flaws. Purchased a 2009 Saturn. It developed a minor problem a couple days after college son took off, so I called the sales person. The service manager called me back within a few minutes to discuss problems and possible solutions. Problem was solved in college town with help from a friend, but if I were to discover an existing problem I take them at their word that they'd fix it even though car was sold "as-is".

Love Sulivan's Auto Trading!!!

I went to Sullivan's on a Saturday night about 6:00 pm.. I wanted to test drive a vehicle about 6:30 pm. Please keep in mind that they close at 8:00 pm. Austin (the wonderful man who helped me) was like "no problem, take as long as you need". I drove the vehicle & immediately loved it. Considering I had been test driving vehicles since 10:00 am that day. I came back from the test drive & Austin asked how I liked it. We talked for a few minutes about the car & asking price (and what not). I think Austin saw in my face that I was a little reluctant at first & he said why don't I think about it first. He gave me NO pressure & DID NOT hassle me into the car or anything. I looked at the car again & said let's do this. Austin made everything so easy for me. He explained everything about the car to me (and I had a bunch of questions). He took the effort to make sure I knew what I was purchasing & made sure I had what I needed. He even stayed after closing hours to help me. Austin was the most caring auto sales man I have ever met. I had a very bad accident about 3 weeks before purchasing this car & he was really concerned that I had chosen the right vehicle for me. This was the best car buying experience I've ever been in. The staff was very welcoming once I walked in the door. They make you feel like you are the only customer there even if there are others there. Will and Donald were GREAT!! They answered every question I had and even brought up other points I hadn't even thought of. They were the most honest and forth coming with all of the information during the whole experience. They went above and beyond when they were working on the financing. I was looking for a truck and needed to stay low on the monthly payment. Donald worked with the banks and got me a great deal. I was a little hesitant about it be they walked me line by line, number by number of the entire deal. I was able to pick up a 2005 Dodge 1500 Crew cab 4x4. Very nice truck. This is absolutely the best experience we've ever had at a dealership. We had to get a car right away as our car suddenly died. I've never met kinder, and more helpful people. It is obvious that their mission is to serve their customer, even at a loss to themselves. They definitely live the golden rule at this company. We were considering two different cars we'd found on the internet, and the owner even test drove both of them for us and gave us his opinion before we looked at each one. We recently bought a 2002 Ford Mustang from Sullivan Auto Trading and couldnt be more pleased with the entire experience. Since we live about an hour and a half from the dealership, it was quite a leap of faith to take that drive down to look at a vehicle we saw online. After a phone inquiry about the car with very knowledgeable and friendly staff, we went ahead and took that drive to Fredericksburg. When we arrived at Sullivans, we were in the midst of a major downpour- not really the best time to view a car. However, knowing that we were on our way, Austin Sullivan had the car brought into their drive-through garage area where it could be under cover and out of the rain. Very impressive! We were able to view the car completely, and Austin was extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and kind. We took the car for a test drive and decided to buy it. The purchase couldnt have gone smoother, and since weve had the car a couple of very minor issues have taken place- which Austin took care of promptly! Immediately upon entering Sullivans you know youre dealing with top-notch, trustworthy people. Even though we primarily dealt with Austin, everyone else we came in contact with seemed just as friendly and knowledgeable. You can tell that this family run business is close knit and that they enjoy what they do. Because of this, they have many repeat customers as well as people who drive or fly long distances just to buy a car from them. After our terrific experience, that does not surprise me.

1st Time Call and Visit Paid Off

After a month of looking for the right vehicle my husband took a break from looking. So I decided to go to cars.com to see what I could find. I knew what price range we wanted to stay in, so I put in the price range and the Rouge S/SL was the first vehicle that came up. My husband had been talking to me about the Rouge but I was wanting a Honda CR-V or Toyota Rav4. The only reason I looked at the Rouge was because of the royal blue color. I showed the online listing to my husband then he called Sullivan Auto Trading Inc. and spoke to Sam, who took his name and number for someone to call back. Within ten minutes Chelsea called back and answered all my husband's questions. She was very knowledgable with excellent customer service. Because of our experience over the phone and my interest in seeing that beautiful royal blue Rouge in person, we were at the dealership within 30 minutes of talking to Chelsea. When we got there she already had the Rouge ready for us to take it for a test drive. Of course I fell in love with the color, performance, handling and the in person customer service. Thank you Chelsea for getting us in and out within an hour. That was the easiest and most enjoyable car buying experience I have ever had. Also, I want to thank Donald for answering our questions about the drive belts and timing chain. It looks like I have found a new maintenance and repair shop for my vehicles. Totally Satisfied

I looked online searching for a Honda Pilot. There were a lot to choose from of course. I found 1 at Sullivan Auto Trading, the only 1 they had. I submitted an inquiry and received a phone call from Donald. After a couple times of playing phone tag we connected and had a great conversation. We were both up front with each other and straight to the point. I found it very refreshing to speak with someone who was honest and up front in his pricing. We agreed on price which I considered to be EXTREMELY fair. When we went to the dealership they had the vehicle waiting for us. It was running with the AC on and indication of how well the system worked and there were no over heating issues. We were concerned there was an as is sticker in the window, usually that is not a good sign. HOWEVER, there is not a single doubt in my mind that they stand behind their vehicles. Everyone was Friendly, Professional, Courteous and Caring. Mary who took care of us in financing, James the head mechanic and his staff, the porters, Austin? I hope I got that right, everyone was great! There were no games played everything that was agreed to before we got there, stayed that way. An extremely awesome experience and I would not have a moments hesitation purchasing from there again or recommending them as a great place to purchase from. Can't say enough about how happy we are!

My husband and I were very satisfied with the exceptional customer service that we received at Sullivan Auto Trading. We had a couple issues with the first car we picked off the lot and after we paid in full for the vehicle we decided that was not the right car for us. Sullivan Auto Trading took the car back and allowed us to pick what ever car we wanted off their lot NO QUESTIONS ASKED. I should also state that the vehicle we purchased was SOLD AS IS. They wanted us to be happy with the car we wanted. They also backed up their own sale with their own guarantee that they would take care of our car IF anything was wrong after we brought it home. I spoke with Donald, Austin, Mary, James and Mr Sullivan himself and everyone was just so kind. I would highly recommend this place to anyone and everyone looking for a fair deal. It sure was nice to know that this place stands behind their word. I give them an A+ and two thumbs way up!!!!

Chrysler 300 DUB Edition

I recently began shopping for another used vehicle an Sullivan Auto Trading Inc. had just the car for me. They had a lot of great used cars at good prices, they didn't hassle me about buying or try to talk me into any of the cars there. The down side to Sullivan Auto Trading Inc. Is all there cars are sold "AS IS" and you have to buy a warranty thur one of there business partners. I know how used car shopping goes an if the place I'm buying from won't back there cars with sometype of warranty then Im not comfortable shopping there. If you don't mine the "AS IS" factor then Sullivan Auto Trading Inc. Is the place to go for good cars at low prices.

Great 1st time experience

Its been a long time since I bought a used car so the most important criteria for our family was finding a dealer we can trust. I believe we found that in Sullivans. A few neighbors recommended them so we checked them and our local dealers out. They are by far the lowest price and lowest pressure. They are family run and are willing to work out any issues you may have. Their have a good inventory of quality cars so much so that we had a hard time choosing between a few. In the end we are very pleased with the whole buying process. We will definitely go back for future purchases.

Jeep Cherokee

I have a project with my grandchildren over the next 2 1/2 years rebuilding the vehicle I plan to purchase from Sullivan and Mary inparticlure. So far they have told me what is wrong and even fixed, one item that I may have trouble reparing. All this being said they called this afternoon and told me it was ready to drive and pick up. I have never been so pleased with and sales organizations service

2005 Ford Explorer EB

This is my second purchase from Sullivans and I have not been disappointed. I took to car for a test drive and noticed "something" going on with the front brakes. They asked if that was the only problem that would prevent me from purchasing the SUV and they fixed it by the next afternoon before any $ passed hands or any papers were signed. These folks are building their business on the basis of satisfied (and returning) customers. I even asked "what if this car lets me down on the way home" and Austin's reply was "we are not going to let you down" - in my opinion this is a dealer you can trust.

Seems Ok

Seems ok. They do a lot of repairs on site. I didn't buy a car because the car I wanted had already been sold. We did speak to a 'Sullivan' there and he seemed nice, knew what he was doing, etc. I wouldn't have an issue buying from them but they just don't have a car I want to buy. I still search their website though. Also - the people were nice there, busy, but nice and approachable.

Wonderful place to buy a car!

I had a wonderful experience with team at Sullivan Auto Trading when I purchased my Mazda CX-7. And the price couldnt be beat! Carmax had a twin that they wanted $6,000 more for! It had 10,000 less miles, but the one I got from Sullivans was in much better condition mechanically and cosmetically. They let me test drive it twice (the 2nd time so I could take it to my stepdad to get his approval bc he didnt have time to go to the dealership with me). Before buying, I read all 70 of their reviews on cars.com, and I knew that I wouldnt regret buying from them. The paperwork was superfast about 15 minutes. Everybody was so nice and helpful. Donald Jr. even held an umbrella over me in the rain as I walked from the building to the car. The antenna was missing off the car, but they ordered one for me. Ive had the car for almost 1 month now, and havent had any issues (knock on wood). I took it to my mechanic (whos also my stepdads best friend) for an oil change and he looked it over and found that it needed rear brake pads, but said everything else looks good. Definitely going back to these guys next time Im car shopping! Thanks Sullivans!!!

They've got one of the best customer service experiences I ever had, in particular shopping for cars. This is a family owned business where people are truly caring about you. Bought my daughters first car from Sullivan's. Small issue right after delivery, corrected no questions asked. Price was right on point and the process was not painstaking. As my daughters needs changed, we came back to Sullivan's for a different car. Traded in the original car and picked up her second Sullivan vehicle. Again the price was excellent for the vehicle and mileage. Car is in great shape. Again, upon driving for a couple of days, an issue crept up. Called and had the vehicle inand the issued was corrected no questions asked. I would highly recommend Sullivan's to anyone looking to purchase a used vehicle. Good credit bad credit or no credit Mr Sullivan is the man to go to. This is a family owned business who respect peoples time and value. I went to this dealership with my doge charger 2010, with an intention to trade it for another car. They were more than helpful, I did not go through any hassle usually people go through at a regular dealership. Right of the bat they gave me a price for my trade , which was better than any other price i got in Maryland or Virginia. They sold me an Acura TL 2008 which was a bit out of my price range, but never the less Mr Don Sullivan is your man to talk to. I have no credit but he worked out a deal for me and I am very happy with my car. If you want reliability and confidence within your purchase of a used car then do not waste your time anywhere else. This dealership will not disappoint you, they are professional about what they do and honestly you cant find better prices anywhere else. Do not waste your time looking any further for an used car! We looked all over and this place had the best price by FAR . They also had the best costumer service I have ever experienced. I had owned an Audi who is known for their luxury costumer service and I can tell you the service at Sullivan's was by far better. They had a huge selection of cars and if they did not have what you wanted they would look to get it for you. They also gave us a more than fair value on our trade. Totally Different Car Buying Experience!!!!

My son I drove from Upper Marlboro. MD on Saturday morning after talking to the sales person on Friday. From the time I entered the dealership there was a different atmosphere. Don came out and we talked about the car. It was from that point on I knew it was a divine set-up. It was "you know, that you know, that you know." I met with the owner Don and what a blessing!!! He talked like we had known each other for years. After the car (Nissan 350Z) was no longer our focus, that was already a done deal after I drove it!! He showed me the service area, introduced me to his employees and even his wife. We just shared our testimonies with one another and he gave me more than a car, he imparted spiritual wisdom to my son and I. I cannot explain the how much my son and I enjoyed the experience at Sullivan's, the car was just the icing on the cake. I would drive down Interstate 95, on a Friday during rush hour, before a holiday, to have this experience again. It would be worth it, they are truly the best!!!!!

Overall very good. Clean, friendly and helpfull

This is long but I would like to share the whole story. I have been in the automotive buisness for 15+ years. I have seen the best and seen the worst there is. I was not sure what to expect. We had been looking for a few months for a 2003-2007 Toyota 4Runner. V8. We found our 2004 4runner Limited listed on autotrader. It was the right color and mileage for an excellent price. So we decided to drive up after work from Richmond. The truck was out on a test drive when we arrived. But we decided to wait and see. When the customers returned they said they wanted it. Although I did get a second to look at it. It was very nice. Exactly what I was looking for. Disappointed, I gave my card to William Sullivan and asked him to call me if he ever got another one like it. William called the next day and said If I still wanted it, the truck was available. The customer chose another vehicle. We came back drove it, decided we wanted it, as long they would do a few required services based on mileage (timing belt) ect. We agreed to split costs. Which was fair. This was done quickly and they even let me meet the Tech who did the work. Great Guy. They let me inspect the work and I was very happy. We quickly did the paperwork. Very Easy. And were on our way home. My girlfriend was following me, said that two of my brake lights were out and so I called Will and headed back. A few min later they brought it back around. One light fixed and they ordered us the 3rd lamp which is an LED light and needed to be ordered from the dealer. These typically cost close to $200. Even though we bought the vehicle AS IS William took care of us ordered the light at no charge and we will be installing that tonight. We have already put the truck to good use and enjoy driving it very much. That about sums it up. I don't write reviews often, so this is a bit long winded. But I feel that It was worth the time. We were treated well, and in this business that is EVERYTHING. Thanks to William and the rest of the Sullivan team. We will be back.

I'll never buy another car ANYWHERE else!!!

Recently my wife and I bought a Jeep Grand Cherokee from Sullivan Auto Trading and can honestly say that; unless you have had the pleasure of working with this amazing family, you have completely missed out. I was greeted by Will on the telephone and treated FAR better than I have ever been treated in my "Car Buying Days". Will, along with his family exemplified professionalism throughout the entire deal process and post process as well... I have been promised, put in writing, and stamped in blood, promises in the past with dealers that have NEVER been followed through with. As old hood struts/hood shocks do... They were on their last limb and needed to be replace, NOT TO TAKE AWAY FROM THE GORGEOUS VEHICLE, I was promised by Will and his service staff that they would get the part sent out to me ASAP. Little did I know that I would have been at my home before I arrived home! Not only was the part there, as promise with a firm handshake, but very thorough step by step instructions were included to help along my "far from novice mechanic skills". I would recommend this dealership to anyone I know and anyone who may be thumbing through reviews to make their "Game time decision". A completely comfortable and, as cliche as this is.... Breath of fresh air!

We were searching for a Ford Ranger to add to our company as a service vehicle and we sifted through over 125 on various websites and on dealers lots. We narrowed it down to three and then two. One at a Ford dealer and one at Sullivans. We are in Roanoke VA (about 4 hours away) and decided to make the trip to Sullivans because of the excellent and honest interaction between the staff there. From talking at length to Will over the phone about the vehicles condition and history, to talking with Donald about the financial decisions, it was a real breath of fresh air in the normally stressful arena of purchasing a used vehicle. They were very open throughout the entire process and had the vehicle looking like new and ready to go when we arrived.This is family owned and they seemed to really care about keeping the integrity of their name in a difficult business. Being a small business owner myself, I realize the importance of meeting overhead, wages, insurance and all the other expenses involved in owning a business, but also the importance of treating people honestly and of giving a good product for a fair price. This is what I received from Sullivans and the next truck I add to our business will be purchased from them. I even arrived with a rental car and asked if they could help me to return it. They said no problem and the owner followed me in horrible traffic to the rental return location and took me back to pick up the vehicle. This was a Saturday when the lot was very busy and they just went above and beyond to provide a excellent vehicle and excellent customer service. Exceptional!!!

If you're looking for a honest, customer friendly, family owned business to purchase a used vehicle from this is your spot. What I enjoyed the most about Sullivan Auto Trading was their open book approach to selling used cars. In my past experience used car dealers will do anything to get you to drive away in a vehicle that day, lie, cheat, mislead etc... where as Sullivan asked me what my expectations were and simply guided me through the process. I went there looking for a specific vehicle with the right mileage for the right price and drove an hour to get it.Upon my arrival i was greeted by a friendly staff (not trampled on by sales reps like most places) They didn't try to "sell" me a car instead they tossed me the keys let me inspect and test the vehicle and answered any questions i had about it. They do sell USED cars so now that you understand that they are very honest about informing the customer of any known issues the vehicle might have. This is the first time I've ever financed a vehicle as well and the process was quick and easy. They got me a great interest rate and stayed there until almost 11pm to get me taken care of (I showed up late) I would highly recommend Sullivan Auto Trading and would purchase another car from them in the future. My wife and I recently bought a suburban from Sullivan Auto Trading. We had been searching for a month or so for the right vehicle at the right price. We finally found one at Sullivan Auto Trading. Since we were traveling from over an hour and a half away, we called ahead to make sure the car was still available. I inquired as to the condition of the vehicle, if there was any rust on the underside as the vehicle had come from PA. The salesperson replied that they honestly didn't know, but would check and call me back. Within a couple of hours, he called me back and said that it looked good and would bring the car around for us to look at. We made the drive there and we were not disappointed. When we arrived the vehicle was out front waiting for us, and the salesperson was honest about the condition of the vehicle. They were willing to work with us on the price as we had a strict budget to follow. We were cash buyers and the entire transaction was quick and easy. Within two weeks our plates and title arrived without any issues whatsoever. I would highly recommend the fine folks at Sullivan Auto Trading and wouldn't hesitate to buy from them in the future.

I recently bought a 2004 Dodge 1500 from Sullivan Auto Trading, and it was the most painless experience I've ever had dealing with buying a used vehicle. After speaking to Scott about what I was looking for, he immediately let me test drive the truck I later ended up purchasing. There was no pressure to purchase the vehicle, but I was already very impressed with how clean it was, and how well it ran. A few days later I returned to make a deal. I knew that my credit wasn't the greatest so my expectations weren't very high on getting a good interest rate, but Scott worked my monthly payments more than $100 below what I asked for with an interest rate over half of what I was expecting. Not only that, I also have a bumper-to-bumper warranty for the duration of the loan. Shortly after taking the truck home I called Scott about a slight squeak in the front end that I was hoping to get looked at. With no questions asked, the squeak was taken care of by the mechanics at Sullivan Auto at no cost. I really had no clue that purchasing a used vehicle (especially with my credit) would be so pleasant and easy after having many bad experiences before. Not your average used car dealership

I recently purchased a truck from here. I dealt with Scott and the transaction was smooth and quick. Shortly after leaving I noticed that the truck was rumbling at highway speed and shaking when braking. I called them a couple days later after having my mechanic look at it and they told me to bring it in and they replaced the rear brake rotors and a seized U-joint free of charge even though it was purchased as is- no warranty. These people are the salt of the earth, not your typical used car dealership.

We bought my daughter her first car from Sullivan Auto Trading and we couldn't be happier! Not only did they made sure that the car passed Maryland State Inspection but they also checked the car to make sure that it was in safe operating order for my new driver! Great experience! Scott bent over backwards for us

My husband and I are in a chapter 13 bankruptcy. Most places wouldn't even touch us. But I went to Sullivan Auto Trading on a friends recommendation and I must say they were extremely helpful and friendly. After driving several cars, we settled on an '06 Nissan Sentra. Then the dealing began. Scott was running into problem after problem all because we filed a chapter 13 and not a chapter 7. But he was determined to help us get the car we needed. We were hoping to avoid getting a car but I totaled mine so we had no choice. The process was nerve wracking but Scott had the faith that he would be able to make it happen and he did! I also want to say thank you to Bryce for constantly getting another car ready for me to try and to Amy for all her concern and warm wishes. I would recommend Sullivan Auto Trading to anyone in need of a good used vehicle. I want to add that some cars I drove needed alignments or balancing or new brake pads. I would tell them after my test drive and they would immediately take the car into the shop for the needed repairs. My daughter test drove one that had damage to the passenger door. Liked them so much I bought a second car from them

Liked the first car I got from them so much that I went back for another. I was not disappointed in either purchase. I bought warranties for both vehicles. Never needed the first one, and when the catalytic converter went out on the second car(the warranty did not cover this, of course) they made sure that I was happy and all I paid to have it replaced was the deductible. They took care of it and I was very pleasantly surprised, and so glad that I bought my cars from them.

Amazing, If I do say so myself, which I do!!

I had a great experience. Yeah sure buying your first car on your own is a little nerve racking. However, Scott Riley made my experience as painless as possible. I purchased a 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee. It had the power and the space I wanted, It's not nice on gas, however that's not why you buy a V8, now is it? I came in and looked at the vehicle on the way back from fixing my old vehicle. I saw it online and instantly wanted the car. The only out-lying issues I had were tires (they were loud on the highway) and Fluids (transmission and Differentials) Other than that, it's a solid truck and will still pull a 6.5 0-60 time. I will definitely buy from Sullivan Auto Trading again. What people don't understand is that ALL used cars have issues, and technically my girlfriend's NEW car has more issues than my used car does. I'm a Jeep man at heart and always will be. For some reason I had been saying "Scott O'reilly" for the longest time, not "Scott Riley" and no one corrected me. The only issues I have now is some garbage oxygen sensor and heated seat and seat cover issue, but hey I sprayed WD-40 on the oxygen sensor and cleaned the air filter, and WAH-LAH! no more Check Engine light. I will definitely recommend to a friend. If you're looking for a solid used car, please go by and see them first, they'll set you straight and get you on the road quickly. Disappointed

I was disappointed with Sullivan's. I recently purchased a 2006 Jeep Commander from them and when I bought the vehicle there already were a few things wrong but they did point them out to me, like how the catalytic converter/ O2 sensor needed to be fixed/reset and the car was pretty dirty on the inside but they promised to have it detailed and the things wrong with the car fixed. After I bought the car I left it with them for 5 days and they did fix some of the things wrong with the car like the driver side door handle and a leather seat that had some cracks in it; however, they failed to detail the car and fix the left rear wheel well and the engine light was still on. They said they could keep it longer and detail the car but I needed the car for transportation reasons but I don't see how the detailing shouldn't have taken more then 5 days especially with the facilities that are at Sullivan's. I got the engine light checked out by a mechanic and he told me that both catalytic converters were showing up as not working properly on his scanner. I don't really expect them to fix this because it was my error to not have had the car checked out before purchasing but I did not expect to have anything of that magnitude wrong with the car especially since they inspected it the day I purchased the SUV . The thing that was the most frustrating part about dealing with sullivan's was that my tags and titles have still not come in and it has been almost 30 days since the purchase of the vehicle and the temporary tags are set to expire before Sullivan's said they could overnight my new tags. I think in the future it would be wise for Sullivan's not to list cars on their website without having them ready to roll off the lot. With my experience so far I am not going to be purchasing another vehicle from Sullivan's.

Purchased a SUV from them

On Christmas Eve I was looking on Cars.com looking for a SUV( I needed something bigger for me and my kids), when my mom came across the BMW X3. On Friday we went up there to trade my car in and purchase the X3, the process was so flawless and smooth it. We were in and out within 2 hours and driving off the lot with the X3. Second vehicle purchase

We just purchased our second vehicle from Sullivan. We have looked and researched long and hard to purchase a four wheel drive vehicle to use as our back up car. We purchased a Ford Explorer from Sullivan and once again we felt the process was simple and the vehicle was all we expected when we went to see it on the lot. Sullivan generally is a better price then most used car dealers around and they made sure a couple minor things were fixed before we left their lot after the purchase. I am sure we will return again. My wife and I were in need of an AWD wagon. We found a 2000 Volvo at Sullivans. Problem was, we live on the Canadian border in upper NY state. Have to admit, committing to a sale sight unseen was a little nerveracking. We encountered a storm on the day of pick up and they stayed late so that we could get our car. Car was what it was supposed to be. (Found that rear door was bondoed, but don't think it was Sullivans) Process was easy, price was good. I wish they were closer to us but was worth the 500 mile drive.

Great Customer Service

I have been shopping for a Pathfinder for more than a year. I found one for sale at Sullivan Auto Trading on the internet that was well equipped at a price that was lower than any I have found in the previous year of shopping. When I went to see and drive the vehicle, the price remained the same which was not what I found in the previous year shopping for a vehicle. I was treated very well, all questions answered and the deal I was offered was unbelievable compared to all the ones I found in the past year. Scott, Don, and Bryce were all so helpful, kind and very honest with me. I traded my car for the Pathfinder and was given more than fair price on the trade. The day I was to pick up my SUV, my car broke down on the to make the deal --just 30 miles from the Sullivan Auto Trading. I had no idea what was wrong with the car and was also concerned about whether or not the deal would be honored. I called Scott at the dealership and he had a tow truck there to pick me up within the hour. When I arrived at the dealer, Scott met us in the parking lot and not only took care of the towing bill, but he also let me know immediately that he was not concerned about my car and planned to honor our deal. This was absolutely customer service above and beyond. Honest, sincere and caring--service excellence at its best!!

Very Highly Recommended

Shopping for a first car for my daughter. Literally went to 30+ dealers in the area. Some were good, some were scary. Sullivan's was by far the best experience - they treated me personally, no pressure, up front discussion on the pros/cons of the different vehicles we were considering. Ultimately settled on an older 626 in great shape. After three months the car is still running great. Only hiccup was an O2 sensor going bad after a few weeks. They asked me to bring it in and they fixed it quickly and at no charge. They also took good care of getting the paperwork done and generally just had a very good feeling dealing with them. This is the first time I've had to buy a car in the area & I will go out of my way to support them in the future. Thanks guys!!!

Service Excellence, Honesty, and Good Deal

I just purchased a Nisaan Pathfinder from Sullivan Auto Trading and had THE BEST ALL AROUND experience I have ever had when buying a car from a dealer. I have priced these vehicles for over a year trying to find the right deal at the right price. I found the Pathfinder I purchased at Sullivan's on the web and knew it was an incredibly low price for the car. In fact, it is the lowest I have found on a Pathfinder anywhere over the past year of looking. I called right away to inquire if the car was still available at that price and curious to see if the price was legitimate. I have been lured to other dealers with fraudulent prices and was somewhat suspicious. When I called and talked to Scott, I found that not only was the price exactly what they advertised, but it was also more than what they reviewed it to be on the web site. The vehicle had a lot of extra bells and whistles that made it all the more appealing to me while I knew this was the best deal I had yet to find after looking for twelve months for the right Pathfinder at the right price. I drove to Fredericksburg from Richmond, Va where I live to look at the car and drive it, and was treated so well and honestly by Scott, Don, and Bryce--Scott's son. These folks are salt of the earth people--honest car dealers who will go far with the way they treat folks. We made a deal to trade my car for the Pathfinder. They were more than fair with the trade on the night I looked at the Pathfinder. We made an agreement that night and I was to return two days later to make the swap. While driving to pick up my Pathfinder two days later, my car broke down on the side of interstate 95. I was 30 miles from Sullivan's and had no idea who to call except Scott. Scott had a tow truck there to take care of me in less than an hour. And during that time I was so worried about whether our deal would be honored considering the car would not start and I had no idea what was wrong with it. When I arrived with my car in tow, Scott met us in the parking lot and not only did he take care of the towing for me but he immediately let me know he was not concerened about the condition of the car and took me inside to sign the papers for the deal we agreed upon two nights before. There were no surprises in the contract or the figures. They had also put new tires on the Pathfinder. I absolutely could not believe this was happening and was so relieved and grateful. My hat is off to the folks at Sullivan Auto Trading. They absolutely went above and beyond for me in this transaction. I will recommend them to anyone who is looking for an honest deal and a nice car. And I will return there for my next purchase. God bless them!!

I bought a 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee back in September 2011. AND IT IS A REALLY SOLID CAR! From the start of my purchase experience I worked with the Sales Manager and he was always professional. I really appreciate them working with me, and if I wasn't satisfied with something they would make a way to fix it. So Amazing, this is very rare now adays, I had had some bad experiences and it wasn't even the amazing quality of the car when I arrived at the dealership, it was the professionalism of the staff. I am going to make my next car purchase from them, and hopefully I can convince my sister to do the same. I would strongly recommend this dealership to anyone who is in the market! Experience could have been better.

Overall, the salesman who helped us did not have a good attitude to work with people. They are not willing to work with you on the price and negotiate at all. Any time you make a suggestion he would respond with a firm, "nope can't do it." They knowingly sold our vehicle to us with mechanical issues (we spoke about it and he acknowledged having known about these issues) and not once did they offer to repair or lower the price because we would have to fix it. This dealership also does not honor a full tank of gas with the purchase of a vehicle. When asked they said it was because they are used dealer, and from experience, most used dealers do not sell you a vehicle with less than a quarter tank of gas. Overall, we were not really pleased with the service or mainly with their ways of conducting business.

Above and Beyond!!!!!!

Sullivan's Auto was a fantastic find!! I shopped within 40 minutes of my house and found the cars dirty, in disrepair and not like the photos. Add to that salespeople who did not offer any customer service and it was becoming a daunting task!!! I even went to popular used car place and after research found their prices high and their inventory dirty with fair to bad tires on some. I emailed Sullivan's and I was contacted immediately by email and phone. Instantly the customer service was outstanding. I was so happy when I went to see the SUV and it was clean, especially because it was over an hour away! It was exactly what was described to me over the phone by Don, inside and out. Scott and Amy took such good care of me. They answered all my questions and took care of every item I asked for and then some. I had to call my brother and discuss the details and ask even more questions. Scott was so patient with me. I am so conditioned to bad service that it was shocking to receive so much service especially with out having to ask for it. Scott took the time to give me advice on selling my SUV. I did not bring it there to trade. He made me feel right at home and told me everything he knew about the SUV I was buying. I had to leave the SUV for a couple of days after I bought it and when I came back to pick it up everything was done exactly as promised. He even rewashed the car and had it touched up. I had a minor noise come up the day after I picked it up and I brought it back in. Scott had the mechanic ride along and they put it up on the lift and it was a small cover piece that had come loose and was rubbing. They fixed it real quick and I was back on the road! After this experience I would say to everyone look here first and save yourself some time. Even if you have to drive two hours it is worth it to be treated with respect, to be given a car you can trust and to get a fair price. They go Above and Beyond what any dealer would do and then they go Above and Beyond what you expect. This is the only place I will buy a used car from in the future!

Incredible Experience

After totaling my car in an accident I searched for almost two months for a new vehicle. I visited dealer after dealer after dealer, searched more than a dozen websites, read reviews, researched each individual car but I was coming up empty at every turn. One afternoon I came across Sullivan Auto Trading. The vehicles on their website all looked incredible- in great shape, low mileage, CARFAX reports were available to view for free- everything seemed to be tremendous value for the cost. But looks can be deceiving. I visited the lot on a chilly afternoon. A friend and I walked around for a few minutes looking over the few cars I had made a point to look at from what I had seen online. A very nice young man came out and greeted us fairly quickly. After asking us a few pointed questions he ran inside and came back out with the keys to the cars I was looking at. Every question I asked he had an answer for. Every concern he laid to rest. I was extremely impressed by his knowledge and genuine attitude. I test drove one car and loved it. Unfortunately it sold before I could make a decision. I was obviously disappointed but the young man who was helping us, Bryce, took us over to the computer in the office and helped me find a few more cars to look at based off of all the criteria I had outlined. I looked at all the cars but nothing was really a good fit. Until I saw this cute little white Nissan Versa. I found out it was available for sale and instantly took it for a drive. I fell in love!! It handled incredible, had all the basic features I was looking for as well as the bells and whistles I didn't think I'd be able to get at my price level. I made the decision to proceed with the sale and was directed to Scott.Scott sat me down and went over a few things with their financing process, answering my plethora of questions along the way, and sent me home with homework (paperwork to get for him). The next morning I returned bright and early. I was greeted with a warm smile and a "Come on in." Their guaranteed credit approval system, a blessing to someone like me who has a decent credit score and a good job but blemishes on my credit history (namely a bankruptcy). The paperwork and approval process took little more than an hour from start until I was walking out the door with my new keys in hand. Amy, who helped me get everything signed and answered a ton of questions, was simply wonderful. Great Experience

I would have to say this was and has been the best place I have ever purchased a vehicle. I haven't purchased one since 1999. However I had to purchase this year and couldn't ask for a better place to have done it at. Great experience all around with the vehicle i got and the friendly and profesional staff. Family oriented facility which was nice made me feel right at home. The purchasing process was quick but thorough and extremely painless. Unlike my past experiences with other dealership where it has taken as long as 12 hours. Got to say all in all I will definitely buy here again and recommend anyone else to them as well. They really took care of us on a personal level!

We don?t have good credit but they worked with the bank to get us a good loan to help us rebuild our credit. A few weeks later I started to hear a noise and called Scott. He had me bring it in and within 5 minutes was able to identify the problem. He made us a priority and took it straight to the back to have it fixed. I was in and out within about an hour! I had been looking for an Acura TL for a long time, and I found the one I wanted at Sullivan's. The car was beautiful and in excellent shape. The deal was easy for me because I knew what I could and could not do financially. When we couldn't come to an agreement on my trade-in value and loan rate, I had to walk away from the deal and the car I really wanted. I was treated with respect throughout the entire experience. Scott was very kind and extremely patient as we spent two hours hashing out the details, and with other customers bustling through the dealership, not one time did I feel rushed. Finally, he was able to work an amazing deal out so that I could afford the car I really wanted. I can honestly say this is one of the best experiences at a dealership I have ever had. I just purchased an Infinity G 35 from Sullivan's. I searched for a couple of months but I couldn't find what I wanted in my price range. Until I saw their ad for my car. I got up early the next day and drove from Richmond and was pleasantly surprised that the car was everything that was advertised.(I was not so happy at other dealerships I visited) I will definitely be coming back for my next car great experience.

Scott Riley and the helpful people at Sullivan Auto are the people to see if you are looking for a quality used car at an honest price. They know used cars and have the experience to select cars that have not been abused. They turn away the junk and just sell the cars they can be confident in. I got a great deal on my "very practical 7 passenger" I was looking for and now have fallin in love with the thing. It was well taken care of by the previous owner who bought another car from Scott who knows clean vehicles. Fiance' still wondering how I can be so silly happy about a minivan. What can I say! A good deal is a good deal even if its not a "look at me" ego car.

No complaints

I bought a 2003 BMW 3-Series in May and am pleased with the car and the efficiency with which Sullivan's processed everything. The price was very fair and the whole process painless. Everyone was up front about some minor repairs that would likely need to be done as expected on a 10 year old car and it's running great. I drove two hours for a specific car and it was well worth it.

2004 Cadillac SRX

Must say this Dealer has to be one of the best! My mom and I have been to many places in and around Fredericksburg and Stafford and they've all either been overly priced or had cars with ridiculous mileage. But at Sullivan's we were able to get a Classy vehicle with LOW mileage for a LOW price. The owners were more than helpful, sharing with us the vehicle history, maintenance and anything else that was asked. Without it sounding like a script, very cool and honest people.

Great used vehicles

I have now bought two vehicles from Sullivan Auto Trading (2003 Tundra and 2000 Camry). Not too sure how he finds such reliable and clean cars, but I would be weary of buying "as is" from any place else. Good luck trying to beat their prices. I will buy my next car there. Doug

Honest Dealership

I just purchased a 2003 Nissan Pathfinder from Chris and William Sullivan and I can't over state just how nice of a shopping experience it was. A Really Good Experience

I purchased an 06 Ford Explorer from Sullivan. Dealing with Scott was great and I purchased the vehicle for a really good price. To my surprise, a few days after my purchase the vehicle experienced a transmission issue. After talking with Scott, he asked for me to get it back to his shop immediately. He was able to fix the problem at no cost to me! I greatly appreciate his customer service and willingness to work with me even though I purchased the vehicle with no warranty. I can easily recommend Sullivan to you! They have good pricing and are fair with their customers.

Our experience

Scott and Amy were very professional to deal with during the whole buying process. The transmission blew the day after purchasing the vehicle. Scott had us working closely with a local mechanic to get it fixed at no cost to us. And Amy worked tirelessly with the DMV to get our plates after a few delays on the DMV's part. Again they were both very professional and we are pleased with our experience and our vehicle.

My experience with Sullivan Auto Trading was excellent. The quality and cleanliness of the vehicles is outstanding. They are honest people and have fixed/standard pricing for their vehicles. I was very pleased with the services I received throughout the entire process of purchasing a used vehicle. Their repair facility is top notch. They fixed a plow hook up on my truck that was bent beyond repair (from other places I went to). When the technician finished repairing the plow hitch it looked better then when it was first installed. I was very pleased with the finished product and the cost to repair the item was fair and reasonable in my opinion.

I purchased a 2005 Saturn VUE at Sullivan Auto Trading Inc. with 74k miles on it at a VERY fair price! From the moment I walked into this dealership I was thoroughly impressed! The staff was very helpful and honest, never once did I feel pressured to buy anything!The young man, Bryce, who was helping me was very knowledgeable about all the vehicles on the lot and answered every question I could throw at him without missing a beat! I was definitely impressed! The vehicle had just arrived on their lot the day I looked at it and was in need of a repair to the exhaust. They were honest and upfront about every detail. Due to the fact that the vehicle was still under manufacturer's warranty, they said it could take up to a week for the repair to get done and offered me a vehicle from their lot to drive until the vehicle I purchased was ready! They took care of getting a complete exhaust installed, changed all the fluids, and thoroughly detailed the interior and exterior before allowing me to pick up the vehicle! Once I selected the VUE, the financing department worked hard to get my loan approved even though the price was lower than the banks like to see. I must have called them 25 times over the four days I was awaiting my loan approval and Scott never once got annoyed or frustrated by my call. I was also impressed by the repair/service department they have. They service the vehicles they sell at a very reasonable cost and offer many service plans that are sure to extend the life of your vehicle! Also all the service staff is ASE certified which is a fantastic find. I plan to ONLY take my VUE there for service....I trust them! I have already told several people about this wonderful dealership! My mother, best friend, and a coworker will be going there soon to purchase their new/used cars! Amazing Help

I've been searching for a car for sometime and found Sullivan's. They had a great selection, and I found my current car there. I drove it for a few days and it had a small hiccup. So, I took it to Sullivan's and he took it straight into the garage. I was without my car for less than a day. It was fantastic. I'd highly recommend this deal to anyone on the search for a car.

I recently purchased my car from Sullivan Auto Trading and worked with Scott. He was fantastic. I got an immediate reply and within a day from my inquiry email I went to see the car. Very straightforward, excellent experience

I saw a Mazda RX-8 for sale at Sullivan for an excellent price and drove from Sterling, VA to see it. I was a little skeptical because any other RX8 with similar miles/year was a couple thousand more. I met with Scott and I could tell he was not a typical "used car salesman" guy. Very matter of fact, and very honest about any car deficiencies, history, etc. It was in gorgeous shape. I bought the car for their asking price, and Scott even allowed me to take it to the dealer for a full check (engine compression, etc.) and held the funds until that was complete.
