Best Place to Buy a Used Car, period.

I am a college student in San Antonio, my dad lives near Houston so I went looking for a car in his area. At first I was going to big name dealerships, for more "credibility" but boy was I wrong to do so, every big name dealership made my dad and I feel pressured and they overlooked major AND minor issues on cars. Finally I started looking online and found a neat little coupe at Strawberry Auto Sales. It was a far drive from my dad and I but it was completely worth it. Tommy let us test drive it on our own, he made me feel like the car was already mine before I even talked about buying it, with no pressure at all. We went inside and got a buyers order but it was a saturday and my credit union was closed. I was upset because I had finally found the perfect car, until Tommy told me he would hold onto it for me until monday. On monday I got a hold of my credit union and got things moving. When we got there to get the car, Tommy and his wife had everything set up for us, all the papers we needed to sign and made everything super easy. It was my first time buying a car for myself and they made it stress free and uncomplicated. Before I knew it I was on the road with what felt like a brand new car, thanks to their amazing detailing. Everything about this experience was great, they made us feel like a family friend getting hooked up with a sweet deal. I would definitely buy a car here again.

My granddaughter and I were on a car "search". Wanting a dependable; will not leave her stranded, type of vehicle, we went to Strawberry road auto sales. I had been there before, and from my original visit, and everything I'd heard about them, I felt very pleased with the Automobile we purchased. A Saturn Vue. Clean, runs great, and we are the happiest! The owners are wonderful people, and granddaughter loves her car!

Classic Customer Service, True Passion For Autos!

The only way buying my car from Strawberry Road could have been more enjoyable would be if Tommy had thrown in a free puppy. I was referred to the dealership by co-worker, and I immediately fell for a Scion Xb Wagon on the website. After talking to Tommy on the phone, I knew I would feel comfortable working with him. When I arrived at the dealership, Tommy let me take out the Scion and another small crossover for comparison. We sat on the porch and chatted for a little while, then I went to the gas station on the corner to have a Coke and weigh the merits of the two cars. The Scion won, and Tommy gave me the purchase paperwork to take to my credit union. This was late on a Saturday afternoon. On Monday morning, I picked up my car, signed the final paperwork, and was on my way. Wherever you're driving from - Houston, Sugar Land, the planet Mars - the drive is definitely worth it. Depending on what you're looking for, you might need to be open to a slightly older, slightly higher-mileage pre-owned car, but rest assured these have been cherry-picked by Tommy for quality.

Great Experience

We bought a 2003 Jeep Wrangler from Tommy. It was in great condition. They had replaced the carpet, cleaned the seats, detailed the exterior. We've been looking on and off for over a year and it was the best vehicle we had seen. Tommy and everyone at Strawberry Road Auto were great to work with. We felt comfortable immediately and knew they were honest, straightforward people. It was a great experience.

Great to Deal With Great Car

I found my car on the internet. I called about it. I talked to Tommy. I asked all kinds of questions. Tommy answered them. I kept this up for several days, so did Tommy. I finally flew to Houston arriving late (4:50) PM on Saturday. Tommy picked me up at the airport-he was driving my future car. We went to his Lot (I was already in love with the car). Tommy began showing me the car-it started to rain-he kept on. I chickened out-told him "I want IT". We went into his building-it was locked up. He began explaining each piece of paper he was preparing. He DID It ALL. We finished our deal and I left Houston at 7:00PM driving my new 89000 mile car back to Oklahoma. I drove all night , due to the bad weather forecasts for Okla. on Sunday, I arrived back home at 5:00AM. I had bought a car that I really learned to love driving home on that cold raining night. I felt I had also made a new friend (that may be more important). Thank you Tommy for selling me my car but more than that --your friendship. If i ever need another car I'll call you-or maybe just to talk.

Before I went to Strawberry Road Auto Sales I visited a new car dealership and waited for 2 hours and didn't even get to test drive a car. Defeated I decided to stop at Strawberry Road and test drive one of their jeeps. Tommy and Charles could not have been more helpful or easy to deal with. I didn't feel like I was buying a vehicle from salespeople but talking to friends. It was a no pressure informative process. They had no problem letting me take the vehicle for a checkup which passed with flying colors. I had been looking for a Jeep Wrangler, particularly orange. They shattered my stereotype!

They shattered my stereotype of the used car salesman! I HATE having to buy a car, I always feel like I got shafted no matter how good of a deal I got. No this time, Charles was friendly, professional and provided zero pressure to close the sale. This was the first time I drove off a lot with a smile on my face! They sell only quality cars, no flood cars or salvage vehicles. I got the exact truck I wanted at a great price. I will definitely be returning in the future. Oh, and they were the first car dealer ever (new or used) who actually mailed me my license plates, and within a very reasonable amount of time. I was absolutely floored by this!

2004 Jeep Wrangler

I had a great experience shopping for jeeps at Strawberry Road Auto Sales. They had a number of jeeps in their inventory, and they were all in very good condition. I ended up purchassing a 2004 Wrangler from them. I dealt with the whole family, Tommy and his wife, and their son, Charles. They are all stand up people, very professional and no pressure. I test drove several jeeps. As a first time jeep buyer, both Tommy and Charles were very helpful and informative and took lots of time explaining the ins and outs of jeeps to me. Smooth and wonderful car buying experience!!

I was in the market for a new vehicle but was dreading the whole buying a car and dealership fiasco. However, it turned out that it would be the most pleasant car purchase I have ever had. Everyone that worked there was friendly and kind. I had some issues at first with the credit union and the guys at Strawberry Auto Sales worked with me and were patient and understanding as I got my bank situation straightened out. They were professional and proficient. In fact we are going back at the end of the year to purchase a new car for my girlfriend. The best part was that it was father and son business and it made me feel good to see that as I am close with my father. And to top it off, it's always a pleasure purchasing something from a fellow Aggie!

Loved this place!

For a couple of weeks in December we were shopping for a used subcompact with low miles for my mother who is very particular about the vehicles she drives. With no luck from other dealers whom we were subject to subpar vehicles and unreasonable prices, we were on the verge of giving up. Luckily we came across this 2008 Suzuki Reno and much to our surprise it's less than two miles down the road from us! After obtaining the history of the car, seeing it's condition, getting a fair price (which we couldn't even bring ourselves to try and negotiate down because it was so fair) and Charles' promise to fix a minor issue with the tires...this was a no brainer, we were sold on it! Charles and the entire staff were very professional, welcoming and we felt no pressure during the entire buying process. We highly recommend these guys and we won't hesitate to consider them first for our next vehicle need. Thank you for such a pleasant experience!

2005 Jeep Liberty

Was in the market for a replacement vehicle for one of my kids. Saw this ad and thought it was too good to be true. Three weeks go by, and the car is still listed, so i decide to go by for a look. Charles was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about Jeeps. Never felt any pressure whatsoever. He made the whole experience rather enjoyable, and that's saying a lot. I bought the car, and am driving and enjoying it before I pass it on to my son. Only hitch was there was only one key/remote, and that wasn't cheap to replace.I would recommend these guys to anyone, and will return for the next purchase. The entire staff was great!

My name is Ted Caldwell from Katy, Texas, and I don't normally do reviews of any kind, I expect great service, and if I don't get it, I'll never do business with that company again. But every once in a while I recieve outstanding service, and this is what I got at Strawberry Road Auto. I was looking to buy a used Ranger to keep the miles off of my new Shelby 500 GT. I had looked in my area without any results. I found one that looked interesting in Pasadena but it was over a hours drive away. I called the place up, negotiated a reasonable price over the phone, and set up an appointment for Sat. morning. When I arrived, the truck was nicer and cleaner than the pictures and description I was given. There were only a couple of very minor issues, that they said they would take care of, and did. The truck was actually better than I thought I would find. I gave them the name of my credit union, and they said they would take care of everything, and they did. And surprise, they actually did. These guys are real pros, even my credit union commented to me how good these guys conduct business. With me they were very honest, have a geat inventory, do exactly what they say and do it on time. When I went to pick up my truck, my girlfriend found a Miata there shee feel in love with, went back the next week and got it for herself. As on the truck, they were easy to deal with, and made it a reality. I would not hesitate for a second to recommend these guys to anyone looking for a very high quaility vehicle. I was looking to buy a jeep wrangler and this dealership had a wide selection of really clean jeeps. The price is important and they were more than fair. The inventory was varied and very clean with lots of different styles, colors, and options. The sales staff was VERY knowledgeable about jeep wranglers. There was something for all needs and budgets. I found just the one I wanted after trying out several jeeps.
