These people are after your money. Nothing more. Their customer service is nonexistent, they'll lie straight to your face, and they could care less if your vehicle that they sold you isn't performing well. DO NOT GO TO THIS DEALERSHIP FOR ANY REASON. YOU HAVE BEEN FAIRLY WARNED!

Our history with this dealership goes back several years . But the most recent really gives a unfavorable review on this dealership. Last year we had a 2010 Dodge 2500 diesel pickup we took it in for front end problems, after having seen it several times they could not determine what was wrong but told us it was fixed, we picked it up on a Friday night drove out of the parking lot and found that the truck was not fixed correctly. We drove to Denver the next morning and traded it in on a 2015 Dodge 3500. In the year that we have owned this truck we have had it in Steamboat motors dealership several times the most recent was for the the ball joints, they replaced them and now we are sitting in. A dealership in Denver (Christopher Dodge ) waiting on this dealership to put in a brake caliper bolt that was left out when they fixed it in Steamboat Springs. So when they put the truck up on the lift and checked the bottom caliper bolt, it fell out in their hand. (Good Job Steamboat Motors) Christopher Dodge on Colfax repaired the truck, unlike our local dealership was able to. Not sure if they need more training or less customers. Would certainly use another dealership if we had one. STEAMBOAT MOTORS IS HORRIBLE, CUSTOMER SERVICE SUCKS....

Literally the worst customer service I've ever experienced in my life. Had my car towed in on Thursday morning right after they opened, was told the holiday weekend "might" mean they couldn't look at it until Friday or Saturday. I don't have an appointment, people like vacation, I get it. Called Friday, hadn't looked at it yet, was told they weren't open Saturday (which, fine, but why was I told you were yesterday?), so maybe Tuesday or Wednesday. It is now Wednesday. I called at 3pm, was given some xxxxxxxx answer that they were booked up 2 weeks out and they'd get to it when they get to it, but they don't know when that will be. Meanwhile I'm paying $40/day plus mileage on a rental car through them, but I'm sure that had nothing to do with it. When I went and got my car, I got accosted about the tow bill, which I'd already paid, and then he starts trying to tell me how I was in the wrong. No apology. Nothing. I was told 3 different things while my car sat idly. No communication unless I reached out. Give me a straight answer - xxxx, even tell me you can't take it for two weeks. I am capable of going elsewhere, and from now on I will. Take your car somewhere they actually give a xxxx about their customers.

So I went there twice because of a recall on my new Jeep Cherokee 2015,and they said the car is perfect.First I wait two weeks for my appointment, xxx this is steamboat springs, there r no people there. But the bad part is that actually my A/C is not working,it is summer here in WA state and I tried to use it,because it was hot,but the AC is not working, after I went twice for a check exactly on that, waiting of course..Also,when I went to get my car they just gave me the papers with no explanation I start asking questions, and they were mad, because I freaking ask!!!! Well, thanks stupid Steamboat springs motors whatever.Awful experience.Do not go there is my advice. Thanks

Service department is the worst

My car was in the service shop for over 2 weeks. The service department lied daily telling me that my jeep was being worked on and that I could possibly have it later that day if not early the next day. I was told this everytime I called only to find out on day # 15 that the car hadn't even been in a bay let alone had any work done to it. The service department is always under staffed and they constantly lied on a daily bases. I have an extended warranty with Chrysler and this is the only dealer around. I think they put warranty vehicles on the back burner The last time I had my car serviced I didn't get it back for 6 weeks. The worst customer service I have ever experienced. Lies Lies and then more lies is what you will receive from this company

From the moment we were promptly greeted, our salesman, Patrick Gronemeyer, made us feel completely welcome and at ease. He was terrific to work with, and made the experience very enjoyable. We had our two small boys with us, as well, which normally would have tested the patience of a dealer. The staff at Steamboat Motors, however, made our entire family feel 100% welcome. Patrick, Kody, John, Lee, Laura, and several others we didn't catch the name of, were all genuinely helpful and truly friendly. This was no pressure sales in a very comfortable environment. We can't say enough about these folks.

Had a great experience with John Wilkinson and everyone we dealt with when buying our Ford Transit Connect! They went the extra mile to make sure we got exactly what we wanted and the purchase was easy. Getting nearly 25mpg in town makes it even better!

Worst service department ever!!! I've never had a certified dealership tell me they don't know how to fix my check engine light after they already did $500 worth of work on it. They told me it was one thing, I paid to get it done, it was never properly fixed, then they said they didn't know what the problem was and that I personally could go to an auto part store and check out a few different fixes. This is after they told me what "they knew what the problem was" and that I paid to have them NOT to fix it. After writing the general manager he deferred me to the part manager who I already talked to and could not get anything resolved. I spent in all $4,000 at this dealership and got treated like crap. Seriously how does a certified dealership tell you they don't know how to fix your truck. These guys don't know a dodge neon from a Cadillac. Save your money, see west side auto.

Bought a brand new truck with an extended warranty and service plan from Groove, but live in Steamboat Springs. Had transmission problems with the truck from day one. SB Motors never checked the transmission they always said there was an update available, would do that and hand it back. We drive our truck mostly hiway miles and took it in for service at 5k, almost 13k, and 20k. Each time we complained about the transmission. At 23,700 the 4wd went out. We brought it in and told them we were tired of the transmission issues we were still having and wanted it replaced while it was there. First, they never called us to discuss what was going on the first day. Never called us the second day. When I called they said they would have to keep it they were waiting for a part and by the way your front tires are bald. I asked how that could happen if they were supposed to be rotating and servicing them with each appointment. Immediately, they said he it's your allignment we don't check that. Mind you, I have 18 inch beefy tires. Not easy to wear tread. When I finally went to pick up my car, they had done yet another update on the transmission, no repairs. I asked again about them rotating and noting wear. I explained when I take my other cars in to be repaired I always get a checklist with each service advising about wear etc. There is no way that the tires could have worn between services without there being prior wear that would have been noticed. I asked them to show me paperwork showing the rotations and notes. The service manager sarcastically told me that they didn't even rotate at the 20K service. I asked why they wouldn't rotate tires with 7k miles between the service. His answer, we don't do anything we don't get paid for and Ford doesn't recommend at 20k. Hello...... 7k between service, recommended service 7500 miles, and you don't fully service? Now, because of their negligence I am paying 1500.00 to replace tires. When I drove my truck home the transmission sounded as if it was going to fall out. It slipped over 7 times in a 4 mile drive. After speaking to several people, I now find that Steamboat Motors is knows for poor attention to detail, a very rude service manager and poor mechanical apptitude. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE. Recommendations have been to drive to Columbine in Rifle because Craig Ford is just as bad if not worse.
