We went in with a price we wanted to spend and were talked up to a new car with a much bigger price tag. Went thru the whole car buying process without knowing exactly what our payment would be. Told them we wouldn't sign off it was over 300 a month. They came back saying they couldn't verify who i was!?!!? So im not sure if they just couldn't get the price to where i wanted so they told me that so i wouldn't argue or what?!

I purchased my first new car (2014 Altima) from Stateline Nissan in 2013 & have been a customer ever since. I've had nothing but great experiences with them including the service department ever since. They've sent out regular reminders for scheduled maintenance & coupons for those services. I recently went in for scheduled service & wanted to look at the all new 2016 Maxima. And I was prepared to buy if the deal was right because I knew what I wanted. James was so incredibly helpful, friendly & professional. Long story short, James, Mark & Larry worked it out so that I left in the brand new car that I wanted & could afford. I will always refer my friends & family to Stateline Nissan. A family owned dealership. Give them a try. Ask for James & tell him Dedei sent you!

Worst car buying experience ever

It all started with a visit to this store and a conversation with Nick Dudaj who ran my credit and then showed me some options on models. I choose a Nissan Sentra SV. I went through the finance office and then came out to the car. The first indication of problems was that they never pushed in a fuse to take the car out of transport mode. This is something that should have been done before I ever saw the car when it came off the truck. I drove home and figured this out myself. The next issue came up about a week later when Nick called me and said there was a problem with the financing and I was to return the car. During this phone call he was rude and accused me of lying to him. The next morning I called and spoke to a manager and explained the situation and he said they would get back to me later in the day. At the end of the day I got a call from Larry Boley, the finance manager asking for more time to figure things out.He called the next day and said they had figured something out and could my wife and I come back and resign paperwork. When we got there he told us that the new lender was requiring more documentation, which it was to late in the day to get. I now have to return to the dealership for a fifth time to provide this. When I returned with the additional documentation, I had to wait from over an hour for the couple in front of me to finish up. Based on what I overheard, those people had been run through this ringer as well and were also resigning paperwork. Finally got everything done and thought that was the last of my problems from them. I was wrong. They did not send me the paperwork to go title the car until the 31st day. Missouri requires that you title a new car within 30 days or pay a penalty. I called and spoke with Larry Boley who was full of excuses about why this was my problem and not theirs. I had to get mean before he was able to connect me with someone who would actually agree to pay me back for the penalty.Avoid this dealership at all costs, they way they treat people is horrible and you will be making several trips out there to get the deal done.

When I had the oil change the service department cheked my brakes and found that I would soon be needing rear brakes. I needed to go out of town for a funeral and Jeff Johnson who is the service rep I work with assured me that the brakes would be safe for the trip but I would need to bring the car in when I got back as the brakes were in the yellow warning area not critical. Jeff was very professional and he always talks to me with respect and explains everything. He has never treated me as if I didin't understand about cars because I was a woman. I would recommend State Line Nissan Service department to anyone.

Tried to Swap out VIN on paperwork

Customer Service: 1.0 Quality Of Work: 1.0 Friendliness: 1.0 Pricing: 1.0 Overall Experience: 1.0

We were attempting to purchase a new vehicle from State Line Nissan. We had reached an agreed upon price. We had test driven the specific vehicle and had the VIN in our phone. It was also present on the price sheet that they had agreed to sell it to us for. We (my husband and I) signed several papers towards the purchase of the vehicle. As we were getting ready to get to the finance portion, the salesman switched out the VIN on the vehicle we were about to sign the agreement on. After we acknowledged the different VIN, he then stated that they had made a mistake and misquoted the price on the vehicle that we wanted to purchase. I pulled out the offer/negotiated price that they had given me. I showed that it was the same price listed online, minus our trade-in, with the correct VIN listed. He took it to a finance manager to clarify. The finance manager returned and told me that he had shredded the paper because it was wrong. They would not sell us the vehicle we wanted at the agreed upon price. He gave me an nonsensical reason as to why the numbers weren't right. I told him that it was correct, based on the internet price and our discussion with the manager, but he continued to argue. When I asked for copy of the offer print out, that I had just given to the salesman, he told me that he had already shredded it. I told him that it was a copy, so then asked for the original, but they told me that it had also already been shredded. This all happened within minutes of me handing over the price agreement. When I got home and checked the VIN that they had attempted to swap into our agreement, without our knowledge, I found that it was not only an inferior vehicle, but was not even the same color as the one we were trying to purchase. We had been there for hours, trying to purchase this vehicle and they tried to switch out the VIN and make us purchase a different vehicle, without our knowledge. Had I not had the last 4 numbers of the VIN memorized, we wouldn't have noticed and they would have succeeded in making us purchase a vehicle that we did not want. We did not purchase a vehicle because of what had happened, but I feel others need to know of their tactics.

Two months of grief and even Nissan NA [with case#] could not get this dealership to address issues of sales misrepresentation of vehicle or repairing warrantied damage. Don't bother to document issues and send to manager, he will not respond! They have your money and could care less about you or your vehicle. They will all talk about how they NEED a 10 rating, as nothing less is acceptable, what you want or need is totally unimportant.Take your business to another car manufacturer as the Nissan Corporation even admits it cannot control dealer deception or service... sad really. All sunshine and misdirection until the papers are signed: want window guards - example: will quote price then more than double invoice because they didn't include installation in the quote [who wants to pay another $140 in labor to remove them???] ResistAll -$699.00 worthless - but will argue that the car must have this protection [paint chipping off within weeks]. Never a response...AVOID this dealership is the only advice.

I got pre-approved the day before I went in. The sales rep Nick contacted me advised everything was done and I could bring my trade in. Me and my wife who is expecting wanted a larger car something with third row seating for the car seats. We chose this location because of their policy on less than desirable credit. We went up there the following day after already submitting all our information the night before, we sat there for 7 hours. In the end we did leave with the pathfinder we purchased and also bought a Nissan versa to get a lower payment to accommodate the larger payment we would be taking on. Now one month later we were notified the loan fell through and we needed to return the pathfinder. Leaving us a tiny Versa with three children to haul around two car seats. WE asked the dealership to at least let us return both cars for our original cars and they denied to return the versa, I Am assuming because the sales rep made a hefty commission on selling a new car vs used car. I have filed a BBB complaint and plan on posting complaints about this obvious bait and switch until somebody can help us. The new baby is coming and as it sits now we cant even take our new car to the park because our family wont fit... Horrible horrible people to deal with

AT THE TIME OF PURCHASE AS PER MY SALES PERSON HE WILL CALL ME WHEN MY TAGS ARE IN, WHEN MY ALL SEASON MATTS ARE IN AND AT THAT TIME HE WILL HAVE THE CAR DETAILED, SINCE AT THE TIME OF PURCHASE IT WAS RAINING. MY SALES PERSON MR. MIKE JIMENEZ DID NOT CALL ME AT ALL THAT MY TAGS ARE READY FOR PICKUP AND WOULD NOT ANSWER MY EMAIL. TODAY WAS THE LAST DAY OF TEMP TAGS SO I WENT IN TO GET THE TAGS AND ASKED HIM TO GET THE CAR DETAILED. HE DID NOT HAD THE CAR DETAILED AND SAID THAT SINCE IT HAS BEEN 30 DAYS HE WILL NOT BE ABLE TO DO IT. THEY ALSO ASKED ME TO WRITE GOOD FEEDBACK, AND IF I DO THEN THEY WILL GIVE ME FREE OIL CHANGES, WHICH I DID BUT THEY DID NOT GIVE ME THE OIL CHANGES COUPON AS PROMISED.

My husband. son and I went to this dealer a week ago on what surely was the hottest, most miserable day of the summer to date. We arrived about 10 minutes before closing, planning to ask a few questions about the used vehicles we were interested in, and leaving by 6:00pm in order to let the salesperson leave on time. We told him we were not buying that night. James went out of his way to not rush us, explained all the particulars of the vehicles, and let my son test drive two of the cars we liked. After a miserably hot day dealing with what I can only express as Dumb-Dumbs, James was a breath of fresh air. Professional, polite, knowledgeable, and non-pressuring. We ended up going in a different direction, but I will say that when we are in the market in the future, we will check with James first. State Line Nissan is blessed to have James representing their dealership."

We were shopping for a new Nissan Murano and Danny Fowler and the Nissan team proved to the the best deal, with the easiest negotiation we have "ever" had. Their pricing was in line with what we needed on our trade and was much better than any other dealer we had checked. Since purchasing the new Murano in 2012, we have taken the car back to State Line for regular service and found them to be excellent! There service team is fast, and efficient, checking any thing we ask and answering our questions completely. When Nissan changes the body style on the Murano, we'll be back there asking Danny for a "new" deal. Best Dealership we've ever worked with!

A friend referred me to Danny Fowler at State Line Nissan a couple of years ago because he's purchased a few vehicles there and has always enjoyed his experience. The dealership had plenty of vehicles to choose from in their used inventory, and I quickly found the right one for me. Danny was very easy to work with and does whatever he can to make sure you are satisfied during and after the sale. I have recently went back to Danny to purchase my second and third vehicle from State Line. If you are in the market for a new or used vehicle, I would recommend working with him. Danny works to find you the right vehicle, shoots you straight and makes sure you get the right value for your trade in.

Not a good experience. Received a quote on Friday afternoon and was since it was the first place I went I wasn't ready to buy. Called on Saturday morning and said I was coming in buy and the salesman said to give him an hour so we went in later that morning. When we arrived at the dealership the salesman brought out the quote from yesterday and said he was going to get the car so I could look at it again. He came back in a few minutes later and said the car had just sold. The salesman and his manager then proceeded to try to sell me other cars that I was not interested in. I told them I was not interested and disappointed in the experience. It appeared to me to be a bait and switch issue and they weren't going to honor the price they gave me the first place. I recently had a safety recall repair done. This "repair" caused additional damage to the vehicle as it was not performed properly. When approaching the subject with the Service Manager, he was very rude and even threatening. Took nearly an hour with the General Manager to get anything worked out. State Line supposedly made a patch repair that would allow me to get the car home so I could take it too what I feel is a much more reputable service department. I also contacted 2 other Nissan dealerships (Lees Summit NIssan and Randy Reed Nissan) both of whom informed me that State Line had indeed completed the recall service incorrectly, not to Nissan standards and requirements, and thus was very likely the cause for the additional damage to the vehicle. I did take the car to a different repair shop the next morning with a Service Manager that I have known and trusted for years. Found out that the so called patch job that State Line did wasn't performed properly and could have caused even more damage had I decided to wait to take it in instead of when I did. Nearly 4 hours later, the car was put back together properly and is performing to expectations, I contacted Nissan Customer Care at their 1-800 number with my concerns. I was told they couldn't help me as this was a privately owned dealership and they had no authority to govern their actions. I will say that the sales department, especially Chad, was fantastic throughout the buying process and every time I have been back to the dealership he makes it a point to say hello and see how I am doing. Too bad the owners are not the least bit concerned with the service department and the quality of work they perform. I would not recommend going to this dealership for any service whether its an oil change or something as simple as putting air in the tires. Their mistakes cost me nearly $500, and I can only imaging how much damage they have done to other cars performing this same recall and/or other so called service repairs. State Line might considered taking ownership for their mistakes instead of passing the buck. It's a lot easier as consumers to forgive a mistake, but it's unfathomably to deal with outright lies, threatening behaviors and lack of respect. When it comes to a customer spending their hard earned dollars they really only expect something as simple as honesty and integrity in return.

I did a credit application online and got a call from the finance manager soon after. Very nice guy! I had some bad credit history because of some previous unemployment and told him chances were slim he could help me out. He said he would do everything he could do to help me out and I believed him. Since I've had my car for so many years my payment history didn't even show up so there was really nothing in my history except some bad debt from some old medical bills. So he was sad to tell me he couldn't make the loan happen. But he did refer me to a friend of his that might be able to help. Even though I can't get a bank loan at this time, my experience was a good one and I'm sure he did his best to help me out. When I'm in a better financial state and I get some decent credit history I will definitely give him a call back. Really nice people.

Great experience!

My husband and I were looking for entry level cars, non brand specific. We went to ALL the dealers around town to do our own comparison. When we got to State Line, Sammy Nasr, greeted us after a very short conversation about what we were looking for, took us to our options. No pressure, just lots of good infomation, a great price, and a huge selection. We told him we still wanted to look around, and he gave us his contact information. No problem and no hassle. The next day Sammy called, to see if we wanted to drive the veh, so he could schedule time for us, we made an appointment, and went back in. He had the cars we were interested in, ready to go, and let us check them out. He gave us plenty of time and space. Again, no pressure! After looking around some more, I went back to the dealer on my own. Sammy again, made time for me and helped me through the process. Not alot of haggling, and we got a great price! He just wanted to know what it would take to earn our business. No all day, no back and forth. We got the car we wanted at the price we wanted! He followed up with us and has been in contact to make sure we are happy and had no questions. He was great to work with and I would really recommend him and State Line Nissan.

I needed a repair and uncertianty was on the forefront, but thanks to Nina's insight and advise on which direction to start first the transition was very smooth - You are a winner in my book and Thank You. The facility is clean and comfortable. The attention paid to me is warm and friendly and very very professional (an extremely important plus when dealing with a woman), and the care taken of my car is superb. I will most definitely buy another Nissan, at State Line Nissan.

We were shopping for a new Nissan Murano and went in to State Line to look at their Murano's and check their trade in price. We were not expecting to purchase that day, only get their price. The deal that was offered up front, was significantly better than we had received on the same vehicle elsewhere, and we bought the car that day. The car was washed, serviced and we drove it home. The salesman, Danny Fowler, was excellent to deal with and went out of his way to be sure we understood how all the instruments, navigation system, and controls operated before we ever left the dealership. Buying a car at State Line Nissan was trouble free, and a pleasant experience that I would highly recommend them to anyone wanting a new car.

I purchased a used car from State Line Nissan. I was unhappy with the car, so I contacted Chad and asked about trading for a new Altima and if it was possible to get me around the same payment ($303) as I had on the used car. He told me that I absolutely couldn't buy a new Altima. I asked how much the payment would be and was told for a base model Altima my payment would be $500 a month. I asked some further questions by email and he didn't even give me the common courtesy to respond back. I contacted Youngblood Nissan and they were amazing from start to finish. I bought a New Altima (not a base model) with a 6% less interest rate and am paying less money for my new car than my 2006 I bought from State Line Nissan. State Line Nissan was the worst buying experience I have ever had. Chad Barker is very unprofessional!

My wife and I had been watching for cars that we liked for months. We decided on a Nissan Altima. We had saved up enough to pay cash, and we read good reports abut the Altima. I got up early on 1/31/2012 with the sole purpose of buying an Altima that day. To make a long story short. I was a returning customer who wanted to buy a car that day. However, they were so rude and arrogant that I ended up buying a Toyata instead. The weather was unseasonably nice in January and I think that they sold a lot of cars and did not care if they sold more. In fact, the sales manager had taken the day off acording to the receptionist. What a way to treat a returning customer.

I was looking at a Nissan Juke and earlier in the week I went to another dealership. The other deakership kept pressuring me to buy that day. I told him I wasn't going to. I asked him to write down the numbers for me and that I would be in very soon. He wrote down my trade in, down payment and monthly payment but not the price of the car. The next day when he called me I asked him what the price was. He said to come back in and that we could talk about the price. I also received 2 more calls from 2 supervisors above him that same day. I didn't go back to them. Couple days later I went to State Line and talked to Shaun and during the whole time we didn't talk about the monthly payment. We talked about the price of the car and what they would give me for my trade in. Shaun could tell that I was very nervous about buying a brand new car (a first for me) He was very patient with me and was really easy to talk to. Buying a new car was it turns out a lot easier then I thought it would be thanks to Shaun and State Line.

I went to another Nissan dealership and eventually purchased a new Altima. I say eventually because I had to return there three times before they got the paperwork correct and after wasting considerable time there was called back a fourth time to get the final copy. While I was there I asked about a new truck and asked them to put it through Nissan finance just as I did with the Altima, they had a chance to sell me a second car as Nissan gave me 0% financing on the Altima. Anyway they came back with an offer from somewhere of $6,ooo.oo down and $900/mt for payments. Needless to say they didn't want to sell me a second vehicle. That was on a Saturday, on the following Monday I went to Stateline Nissan at 0700 and drove out with a new Pathfinder at 10:30. I couldn't belive the difference in dealerships. To top it off we had a problem with the seat in the Altima and asked them to look at it. They did and replaced it for us and we were so thankful because I couldn't drive it the way it was it hurt my back to much. STATELINE did a GREAT JOB WITH US AND I WOUULD RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE...

Here's Why.Last week. Brought my car in for an oil change.. He noticed other things that needed to be done. Brian was very informative and did not talk to me like I was dump or use car terms that no one understands. I was not forced into having repairs done right away. We were able to set up time frames for repairs that I was comfortable with!! My 2001 Nissan Sentra broke down in January 2011. There were so many issues with this car it wasn't funny. Needless to say, I went to the dealership and the technician told me that repairs would be approximately $3800, maybe more. I told them, no way and to take me to the Sales floor. The repairs were more than what the car was worth. I wanted an Altima but got an excellent deal on a Maxima. I believe I got an excellent deal on the trade in because the car had too many problems, including the Power window, air and head gasket. Anyway, went by Nissan to get my 1st oil change in May. Now granted this is my 1st oil change and I had only put about 2000 miles on my car but I thought it was time. Nina who is the only female service advisor came out and told me that I was entitled to a free oil change. I told her I wasn't aware and she said that should have been told to me. She took care of me and because of her integrity, I will continue to do business with State Line Nissan.

Arrived at State Line Nissan last weekend to browse. My husband informed me that morning that today was not the day we were going to buy a car, and that there was no way he would be trading in his car. We were so impressed with our sales person, Toby Katowitz that we left that day with not one new car, but two. We ended up trading my husband's car in afterall. We appreciated Toby's straight-forward, no nonsense approach. As my husband said...it was nice not to have to do the dance; when it came to pricing. We didn't even have to bid. We were happy with the fair pricing that Toby gave us from the get go. Toby is just a good ol' boy without a swarming salesman bone in his body. Dealing with Lary, the finance guy was a real trip. He's such a jolly, positive force... nothing stuffy about him. He made the transaction enjoyable, believe it or not! He was a hoot! Tony is the gentleman who detailed my car before I drove off the lot. He was very warm and upbeat. He had seen my reaction when I laid eyes on what would become my vehicle, and got a kick out of my excitement...(I did a little dance). He came up to shake my hand and congratulate me on my purchase. I met Bob, one of the Managers, Chris, the person that I will call when my car is due for service and several other's whose names escape me. Everybody treated my husband and me as if we were family. We purchased a 2011 Nissan Murano and a 2011 Nissan Juke. We are blown away by how much car we got for the money. Bell's and Whistle's galore on both models. We're riding in style and thrilled with our purchases. I think it goes without saying that we are customers for life.

Every time I end up having to deal with this particular woman in the service department, she screws something up. Ive tried to be extra nice, because I typically dont have success with complaining, so its time for me to move on. There used to be some really great guys in the service area but I dont know what happened, theyve had some employee turnover or something. This dealership was pretty good until the last few months. Going to try the Olathe location next time.
