Just bought my Honda Pilot from here. Henry was really friendly and went out of his way to make sure I felt comfortable buying the car from Star Motors. Henry arranged to have the car driven to a nearby mechanic and looked over just so I could make sure there were no major problems. I met Henry when I first came in he showed me all the options I have that go with my budget. He was able to get me great financing although my credit wasn't great.

When I first called the dealership and talked to Moe I was impressed with his willingness to show me the car over the iPhone doing FaceTime. When I arrived I was greeted by the manager and the salesman, Henry, and was offered a drink, shown the car and given time to examine it not feeling pressured at all to purchase the car. Everyone I dealt with was very polite and knowledgeable of the vehicle. When I asked Henry why I should by a car from them as opposed to their competitors down the street he gave me the history of the company as well as future plans for the company. Car buying experience....pleasant and rewarding.

I recently purchased a luxury car from this dealership within the last 30 days. I first will start by stating their selection of cars as a small dealer was phenomenal, if you're looking to purchase a used luxury sedan. Most used cars have 100000 + miles, but most of there selection hasnt even hit the factory warranty mileage allowing the purchaser to X additional warranties to to cover future car repairs. Alex, my salesperson was instrumental in helping me find the right car. He was more concerned with what I wanted, and not what INVENTORY he had to move. Financing was AWESOME!!!!! Fil took care of the process and was able to work independently in getting me approved while I carried on with MY day. And he was honest every step of the way. I have spent hours at dealerships only to walk away 6-8 hours later with a not so great deal or not my ideal car. This dealership personalizes your buying experience. All in All 3 hours...and I was driving a great car with a great finance. Im referring anyone I know. And will be purchasung my next car from these fellows. Integrity, care, and professionalism. wonderful car buying experience

I took the train to Chicago to buy a Lexus. Alex from Star Motors picked me up from Union Station and he was very friendly and gracious. We drove back to the dealership to check out the vehicle I wanted to buy. It was everything that was described and more. I loved it right away. We took a long test drive, came back and completed the paper work, and I was on my way. The gentleman that did the financials was so knowledgeable and friendly (fast too). I felt very comfortable through the whole process and I am very pleased with my car and the whole experience. I would buy from Star again and I highly recommend them.

Overall GREAT service.

We looked at 6 other dealerships that day. Mostly bigger dealerships. None of them made us feel as welcomed as this one. We were greeted by Moe M. with water. We asked for an Acura rdx/mdx. Moe brought us 3 great looking vehicles and lined them up. He explained each car and answered every question. Never being to pushy. Customer Service is clearly what they are about.

Extremely friendly and courteous. I was out of state and I asked them to drive the truck to Lang's auto repair across town for my pre-purchase inspection. (Langs was excellent by the way)... They took the truck to Lang's and picked it up the next day. Lang's gave me a report that the truck was overall excellent but they listed a few things I would need to do if I wanted to take the truck off road. It was fine for normal driving but needed some changes to go off road. I informed Star Motor Sales and they excepted my lower price so I could make the changes myself back at home. Then I took a train to Chicago and they came to the train station to give me a ride to their dealership for the test drive and purchase. Very easy to work with and will happily accommodate out of state buyers with everything needed.

Very Humble Sales Men

MIKE WAS VERY RELAXED AND ALL THE SALESMAN THERE WERE COURTEOUS. HE LET ME DRIVE THE CAR TO MY MECHANIC WHICH WAS 30 MINUTES AWAY. HE REPLACED FOUR TIRE SENSORS AND TWO TIRES ON THE CAR THAT MY MECHANIC SAID IT NEEDED. OVER ALL THEY HAVE A GREAT SELECTION OF LUXURY CARS.

i came to star motor sales shopping for a car. they were very helpful. all salesmen were busy with customer so Adam the sales manager was willing to helped me. Adam spent with me couple of hours having me trying all different kind of cars. I was very pleased with the service. In addition to that Adam gave me the option to return the car if i didnt like it since i was confused between 2 cars that i liked. i actually stopped after 3 days and i asked Adam if i can change to the other car, he did it and it was a very smooth transaction. Enjoyable car buying experience

I would start with Start Motors for any future used car purchase. Their offices may be bare-bones, but their inventory is top tier. I bought a very impressive Acura, deemed a "keeper" by my mechanic who had rejected two other cars from other dealers. Although they didn't bend on price, they were very cooperative to resolve a few issues that surfaced from the mechanic's examination. They made a serious effort to make me happy. I truly enjoyed working with Adam and Alex. I actually had fun buying the car from Star Motors.

I recently left a review for one of their salesman, Alexander there at Star Auto. Earlier this evening, I received a phone call from a manager there by the name of Adam. Let me first say that he is a grade a gentleman and was very apologetic and wanted very passionately to remedy the issue and even do what he could to get me in the vehicle. It's not possible due to the amount of negative equity I have in my trade-in, but he was more than ready and willing to assist me in Andy doable way possible. He apologized for my experience and assured me that it was not the culture of the facility. We ended the phone call cordially and with the understanding that if I need any help or have any questions in the future, to feel free and call him specifically. Thanks alot Adam, I greatly appreciate your time, attention and efforts regarding this prior situation and having the desire to make it right! This is what service is all about! When I am in a better situation, I will definitely contact Star and speak with Adam. A+ guy!

Don't work with Alexander!!!!

I first called a week prior to writing this review. I spoke to the salesman named Alexander. He wasn't entirely rude, but not one to listen to what you have to say. I found that very off putting. Almost immediately, it felt like his main concern was selling you the car-period! His first question to me was: How much do you want to put down?? I sat on it for a week, called back and was given a bit of run around. He then tried to pressure me into running my credit before providing me with rough numbers, which can be done by a dealership..its been done before! Then gave me an offer for my used SUV that was an insult, and tells me that, the price he gave me is what they are selling it for at Star Auto. I informed him that the offer was laughable, and for him to have a good day. If I see another vehicle at this location I am interested in, I will make sure I don't deal with Alexander, and I advise you don't either!

Bad Experience

Car I bought was basically a lemon. Was full of problems after them saying it was good. They lied during my buying process which was a hastle. Wouldnt agree on terms that was written in paperwork. In the end of having the car for 3months mind it was 30k I had to trade it in to a dealer cause it was such garbage. Highly recommend you dont go here.

Good experience

Just bought a Lexus LX470 from Naj. Car was very fairly priced and in very good condition for its age and mileage. I was allowed to take the car to my mechanic (Elmhurst Auto Clinic) for evaluation - they recommended I buy the car. No leaks or any other issues. Paperwork was a breeze in and out quickly and no sales pitches for add ons! All in all a good experience, thanks Naj!

A little disappointed

Alright where to begin. So I went to check this car out and when we got there the car wouldn't even start and doors wouldn't open. I looked at the battery and knew immediately it needed a battery. Acid was coming out if the battery. I told the salesman it needed a new one but insisted it didn't need one. Told the manager about the battery he said they would change it but they never did. They jumped it and it was fine. Then I checked the oil an it was clearly old and I could tell right off the bat it needed to be changed. Salesman insisted it didn't need to be changed and was recently changed. Also was lied to about how long the car was on the lot. And I am still having problems with the door opening sometimes. Ended up buying the car and a week later took it to jiffy lube. Long story short I go to jiffy lube and get a battery test and the battery was almost near dead and was also told the oil was extremely old. All in all these are small repairs but still the fact that they lied to me on numerous occasions doesent sit well with me. Definetly expected more from these guys with the reputation they have.

Quick Process and a Great price to boot.

For a small dealership I was surprised by the quality and quantity of cars the guys at star had. I recently totaled my car and needed something decently cheap and german. (this time with AWD) I ended up walking out with an Audi A4 and Fil was a great help without being the typical pushy salesman. Even though the price was already good Adam was able to sweeten the deal for me and fill up my gas tank. I forgot the funny foreign guys name, but he does finance. He was a riot! Overall, Great experience with these guys!

2011 Lincoln Town Car Executive L

I bought 2 cars from Altin , both 2011 Lincoln town cars ( I own a small limo Business ) I live in Washington DC so it was hard for me to go out there and actually Check the cars out , I had Altin describe me everything over the phone and I know that I can be a pain but he actually stood on the line for over an hour until we went over everything I needed to know and he was very transparent with his information . never go with in 100 miles of this place

Never ever buy a car from these poeple !!! I wanted to talk to the superviser about the deal we finished and he refused to talk to me. The sales person said he would call me back In ten minutes 4 times but he never did. When I asked for the manager he refused to talk to me on the phone. Beware !!! Once you finalize the deal you mean nothing to these poeple. Stay away from this dealer !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Despite my less than stellar credit, they were not deterred from doing whatever it took to get a deal done. The salesperson, Alton, was very cordial, and despite my 4 year olds excessive shyness, he quickly turned her into his little buddy. When it came time to make the deal happen they were very straightforward and open about what they could and could not do. I responded very well to this and I was able to follow suit allowing for very efficient use of both of our times. When it was all said and done we drove off in the car we wanted with a two year extended warranty. Thanks to Adam, Chris, Phil, and Alton for helping to get me into the car I wanted despite my poor credit. I was on a long search for my S550 and finally found the perfect color combo at Star Motors . I walked in a little bit late to check out the car and . I bought my 2007 E-Class from Starmotorsales, after i was in chicago area for couple hours visiting another dealership, i almost gave up because i didnt like the car that i was looking at and they where playing me there.. I thought i will be coming back home without the new e-class that i really wanted!! i was lucky enough to stop by Starmotorsales. it really changed what dealership means to me, i felt like if knew them for years, the salesmen, the manager and the funny finance manager were very helpful and they worked very hard to give me a very good deal on my trade and on the car that i bought from them. Awesome dealer, they are very helpful they were willing to stay after hours to help me getting my car. never believed in an honest salesmen, but these people over star motor sales are very good honest and willing to do whatever it takes to make the customer happy also there financing is great i got declined in few places but at star motor sales i got approved with fair rate . Adam was a very good manager gave me a great deal and helped me fixing my sisters car. TOTALLY RECOMMEND THEM.

Star Motor Sales Rip Off!

Bought a 2006 Mercedes Benz ML 350, check engine light on, some kind of fluid leaks, was told by sales manager to bring it in and what does he do; just keep telling the uncertified mechanic to turn the light off. After taking this car to a Benz dealer i was out of $6,000, yes i said it. Sales manager wouldn't take my phone calls, owner pushed me off to the finance manager, which he said he would speak to the owner to see if he would help pay for the repairs. To this day i have not heard from anyone. Poor Customer Service!! I give Star Auto Sales a BIG FAT ( F ). I give the sales person a F, sales manager a F-, stop trying to charm people with all you promises and your lies so they will buy, and you cant back up any of those promises or your lies. I was taken advantage of by this dealer being a Black female.

I just bought a white BMW from them. Beautiful car selection. And excellent customer service! Chris made financing very easy. All the problems I found with the car are being fixed and paid for by them. When I originally saw the car it was 1k less than internet price and they honored that price for me. Purchased Used Last Month

The sales guy I dealt with was a little pushy (think he was newer) but his manager was great and helped in negotiations. They absolutely do not want you to leave when negotiating (that's the feeling I got). The car was "fairly" priced compared to other dealerships but did cost me a little over 1k in repairs and maintenance after purchasing to make proper. After negotiations, repairs, and taxes I would say I paid on the higher end of the spectrum for this car. Most of their cars are decently maintained but some do lack in various areas as I found out. They more or less just shine these things up after obtaining them at auction. They may insist they are pre-inspected ect ect but I recommend an independent inspection. I pointed out tires when negotiating and the salesman said t not a new car Tires were at 3/32which is just the legal limit. They would not let me put the car on a lift at the dealership but said I could get it inspected if I want. They kept reassuring that all the maintenance less tires was up to date and car is as good as they get. The repairs I found included bypass valve (low boost pressure under 3k rpm), ball joints, control arm bushings, exhaust leak, tires, and brake pads. This was all done a week after ownership. I also did new ignition coil, plugs , and wires since the plugs in there were from a very poor off the shelf brand. I was also sure to change the oil out to proper fresh synthetics since the history seemed questionable after the last repairs. I did these myself but if someone had to pay a shop it would have been a lot of $$$. Tires were $400 installed (heavy discount from a friend) Bushings Powerflex $150 Ball joints OEM $80 Exhaust repair $300 Oil change and fluid replacements $120 Brake pads $60 Bypass valve(spring) $10 Ignition components (plugs, coil, wires)$175. Moral of the story the staff is fairly nice but be sure to get an independent inspection or reduce the amount on the car a safe amount. Do not be prey to sales tactics.

DO NOT BUY FROM STAR MOTOR SALES

I purchase a 2006 BMW 750Li and came to find out the tires were spent, there was an oil leak, a transmission leak and several other unreported problems. They also sold me the worst extended warranty that I ended up canceling. When I contacted them a couple days after receiving the car, they claimed none of the conditions existed when they sold the car just a few days ago. A completely tragic experience - I got ripped off.

Stay Away-Auction Cars!!!!!!!

Do NOT buy from them! I purchased what looked like and drove like a brand new car. It was a sharp 2008 Lexus. Boy, was I WRONG! These are cars that are purchased from auctions because they DO NOT WORK! So what if they look and drive great.....The cars are bought at the auctions for dirt cheap, have quick band-aids put on them, and sold at a high mark up? How do I know all this? After taking it back to Star for repairs and quotes thousands of dollars, I went to another repair shop. He did some research on the vehicle and actually called his friend who works at the Chicago Area Auto Auction. Star Motors gets ALL of their cars from the auctions that have been in accidents or are unrepairable in the long run. STAY AWAY! I was lucky enough to sell is at the auction and get back some of my losses...
