My husband and I had a great experience at Southwest Kia. Everyone was friendly and accommodating. We ended up with two vehicles that we really enjoy driving. We will return when it is time to get another vehicle.

Where to start, we had decided months in advance on which type of car we wanted, for business purposes, we chose the Kia Forte, for the warranty and mpg. The reason I listed all the names, we had to deal with each one of these individuals during the course of this 2 day transaction and also over a period of a month, as my wife talked to the internet sales staff. Day 1, we drove in from out of town, 3.5hrs away, and we planned to visit a few dealerships, but Southwest Kia had promised an internet price, that was below any other dealerships pricing, except for one, that I will keep nameless. So, when we first arrived to Southwest off LBJ, we were redirected from William to I believe her name was Ashley. After spending 3hrs, the Sales Manager Antonio Ayala, agreed to the internet price, that their company advertised, we were very honest upfront and told them that we were going to look at one other location and would the price be honored, the sales person, Ashley, insured us that it would be. We left, went to the other dealership and called back 45 min later, and the Sales Manger of Southwest Antonio Ayala, would not honor his own companies pricing. We went back to Southwest the next business day, as this was a business decision and not an emotional one. We asked to speak to the General Sales Manager Edwin Rivera,he was not of any help, from a customer standpoint, he even raised his voice at my wife in there open area with other customers present, we asked him to lower his voice and he said he felt like he needed to speak over my wife, to get his point across, which he said multiple people worked with us, which was not our fault, they switched us to different people, and he said that their time had been spent trying to help us, and we chose to go to another dealership and he felt like we wasted their time and did not feel like they should honer their pricing. The pricing changed 3 times during the course of this transaction. We asked William, twice, Ashley once, Scott once and the finance manager once, to insure that our credit would not be ran through multiple places and only go through Kia Financing, which did not happen, instead there was a 2nd inquiry added. We did not want multiple hits on credit report, as we have excellent credit. We also told them that we would take care of the taxes and insurance, as they have a charge of $150, which we were told there was no cost. We dealt with Scott, the new finance employee, and through the direction of his finance manager, came back and said they had to do the taxes and insurance for us, since we were only financing a portion of it. Which if you live out of the state of Texas, that was not true as we had already done our homework, if you were doing your own financing. We opted to get our own financing, they also took our license plate which in the state of LA, that is considered private property and has to be turned within 24 hrs or your fined. We finally left with the car, with only a thank you for your business from Ashley, Scott and William.Then my wife called the Finance Manager, the next business day and his name escapes me, she reiterated to him that our credit was ran twice and for him to make sure that the 2nd inquiry be removed, as multiple people, within their organization, was informed of our wishes and if their policy was different, then, why did not one person including yourself not say something beforehand, he said that he would not do that, and that we received exceptional service, which my wife said "no we did not", and he said, yelling, "Well we will just come and pickup the car." At this point my wife very frustrated with the ongoing rude and unprofessional behavior of this management staff. She finally hung up on him, because he continued to be belligerent. He then called backed, being belligerent and left a message again, about coming to pickup the car. Our banker called him the next business day and asked do you want us to stop payment on the check, and he said no, and backed off, .We were told that after our banks checked cleared we would receive our 2nd key, we had to call 2 weeks later to ask for them to send it, thanks to Ashley.One week after the purchase my wife was called by Phyllis Griffin in the Registration and Title Department, and she confirmed that we had to take care of our own Registration and Title, due to the fact that our bank had the contract, another deceitful practice. The staff of Ashley, William, Phyllis, Scott, & Nichelle were great to deal with, if the sales, finance and customer service aspect was left up to Antonio, Edwin and the finance manager. This company would never see even a 2 star review. I would never recommend, working with men with such low self esteem and they feel like they can speak to women, in any manner they see fit, is appalling. Im sure they will rebut this, but too many incidents, by their top 3, to be able to offset these truths.. Thanks to Ashley, Nichelle, William, Scott and Phyllis, for their help. They are the only reason for the company getting any stars, unfortunately their managers made it such a bad experience, I feel bad for them, to have to try and justify their attitude.

We had just moved to Dallas and I really needed to trade my F150 for something smaller and more fuel efficient. Had some issues with another Kia dealership so I thought I'd give Southwest a try. Walked in and was greeted by Zoila. I told her what I was looking for, what I needed for my trade and how much cash I was willing to spend. She was great to work with! She showed me several options, did not try to upsell me and patiently test drove 4 vehicles in 100+ heat. This was not a high price or high profit deal for them at all, I just wanted something more practical for my commute. Zoila spent a lot of time making sure that I found what worked for me. I'm very happy with my 2015 Rio. It's the perfect little commuter car and I can't say enough good things about my experience. When it's time for another vehicle, I will definitely be back. Thank you, Zoila, it was a true pleasure working with you!

I bought a vehicle at this location a month ago. I love my Kia Soul. I had Adrian as my salesman and he is top notch in every way. Treated me with respect and was very helpful in answering all my questions. The finance department could step up some, the guy I had in that part wasn't very polite at all. We came to buy a used car. Our salesman was great, but AFTER being approved to buy a used car, this became a nightmare of bad service! They wanted a $ 1000 deposit to hold a $6000 car for 2 days. They refused to hold the car with a deposit over a weekend because " We could sell it this weekend". Finance dept people were rude, kept us waiting, were sarcastic. And this was after paying the deposit and being approved!When we had enough and asked for the deposit back, one of the finance people actually hung up on me. I will never deal with this dealership again! With the exception of the 1st salesman, we dealt with 3 other people who treated us like dirt! If you aren't buying a new car, they have no time for you!!

I decided on a Kia Forte 2015 in May, I starting to dislike this car two days of driving it. I attempted to return it after 2days and the salesperson told wasn't 5days return policy. I thought that it was one according to the Internet sale person.Continue to dislike the Kia Forte very much , I attempted to trade it in for an another Kia for a few months later, the dealership told me that it will take $4000 to get out of the Kia Forte to purchase an another Kia. After 6 months, I again tried to get rid of it for 2015 Toyota Camry. The Camry has $6000 rebate. This was not enough to cover the depreciation of the Kia Forte. I needed another $4000 plus $6000 to just even on the value of the KIA FORTE. Please never buy a Kia from Southwestern Kia of Dallas. I won't never buy a Kia again.

During my test drive on September 24th it became apparent very quickly that I was in great hands. Courland knew my new Kia Optima Hybrid inside and out; and was very easy to talk to and ask questions of. I have bought 2 cars from Southwest Kia over the past 2 years. Both times, they have treated me great. I dealt with Everett, Carl, and Philip. Yes the staff will try to get you to buy as a close to the MSRP along with all the extra stuff as they can, after all that is their job. But they were not pushy about it, they explained things well and when I needed a quick comparison, they went back and covered the details I needed to do a quick comparison, They were patient. I wanted a Kia Optima, but left with a Forte. A few weeks later, I get invited by Cecil to do a car care service meeting with the service staff. Even though I had taken my previous car for it's regular maintenance to their dealership, Chris gave me his spill about what they try to do and what their goal is, and that is customer service after the car is purchased. They do have some great maintenance service reps.

Scott and Carl were real good people to deal with. My wife and I have a unique situation which makes it impossible for us to get away from the house at the same time. Since we live a bit of a drive from the dealership, they had me come in, sign papers and work the financing . Then they drove the car, along with the paperwork, to our house for my wife to sign. Can you say "over and above"? It was truly an outstanding experience.

Southwest Kia at 39650 Lyndon B Johnson Freeway is the worst possible place to buy a car. The sales consultant Fernando Silva has a hole in his face that eternally spews xxxxxxxx. He lied about being able to work on the price if we came in, he tried to lie about some law he made up because I asked about the 5 day return guarantee because I wanted to get the car looked at by my mechanic. He lied about the time it would take. He wouldn't take $200 less than the sticker price. Wasted 3 hours of my time. He then lied about having the car paid for by a pre approved chase loan taking 5 days to go through so I'd have to wait 5 days for the car unless I would do financing through them. The employees would make vulgar gestures towards each other when they thought the customers weren't looking. I truly believe this dealership wants to make your car buying experience as unpleasant as possible, waste as much of your time as possible, and take as much of your money as possible. Don't buy a car here.

I went to make a purchase at the Dallas location and was rushed when looking at the cars as they had someone who worked in the back office to show me the cars. I came back 3 days later to test drive the car I wanted since it ran out of gas when I cranked it up to look at it. The salesman was nice at first but then he got too comfortable and started insulting me. I'm not sure if he knew that he was. The manager got involved because I saw the same car on their website for 2 grand less. They ended up getting the payments where I wanted them but the manager got an attitude because I asked if they were going to fix something on the car. He started raising his voice, over taking me and his tone was angry. Needless to say after I hung up with him I took time to think of I wanted to give my business to someone who totally disrespected me so I declined the offer and was nice enough to call and say so. There are too many dealerships around that is willing to respect their customers.


All they know how to do is lie.

I had been looking for a car for weeks and desperately needed one to get to and from work. I found a 2012 Nissan Altima on the Southwest Kia website and decided to inquire about it. Of course the salesperson (his name is Ryan) calls me and says they've already gotten me approved and that all I need to do is come down to the dealership and test drive it. I agree and drive to the dealership but when I get there, the "manager" comes into the showroom and says that the bank would not go through with my loan unless I get a 2015 Kia Forte. After hours of negotiation and me threatening to leave, we finally agreed on the Kia Forte at a reasonable price. I paid $500 down and was able to drive the car off the lot. The salesperson informs me that the bank will be giving me a call to have a phone interview. I said ok and left. A couple of days later, someone from Kia Motors Finance calls me and asks me about my due date and address, I told her that I didn't know my payment due date because the sales team never even told me what it was. They only told me how much I would be paying (I should've thought that was a red flag). She told me to check my lease contract which I did but there was no payment date on it (another red flag I failed to see.) So I drive up to the dealership and asked them what my due date was and they told me it was on January 5th. I called the bank back to let them know and they added the information into my file then they asked about my employment, stating that they called The Work Number and it said I was not actively employed. I told the representative that the company I work for didn't use The Work Number and that it was no longer being updated. I told her that if she wanted to verify my employment, she would have to speak directly to my supervisor or human resources. I gave her the phone number to both and she concluded our phone conversation. My supervisor and a member from HR both told me that she called them so I know for a fact that they were able to verify me. I had not gotten any more calls from the bank so I assumed everything was fine. On Friday, I got a voicemail from Ryan and he said I needed to bring my car in for a radio update. I missed his call and when I tried to call back, I got the receptionist. I asked her how long a radio update would take and she said she wouldn't have any idea and that I should talk to someone in service. She transferred me to service and I asked the man on the phone the same question. He said he didn't know what it was either (another red flag I somehow did not seem to catch). I gave up on my quest for information and hung up the phone. 15 minutes later, Ryan calls and says a radio update would only take about 20 minutes. I told him that I was at work and that I would have to bring the car in on Saturday. He said ok and I complied. I brought the car back on Saturday and sat down in the showroom to wait on someone to come get my car, instead the finance manager Giovani comes out and asks me to come into his office. By then I'm confused and wondering what a radio update has to do with this guy and why I would need to talk to him. The first question he asks me is "did you get everything with the bank and your employment squared away?" I said yes because they haven't contacted me to tell me anything different. Then he starts clicking around on computer and gets silent. I put my key ring on the desk and grabbed a soda out of my purse and before I could even sit back up all the way, he asks me for key ring. I just look at him confused and he grabs it. I have two little owl keychains and so he started asking about those to distract me but it wasn't really working. As he's asking about my owls, he's slowly taking my car key off of my key ring and then says "yea the bank is not going to let you keep the car." Ok.....why? He says that there's a house registered in my name in South Carolina from 2009 and that my social is saying I was born in 1972. I told him that I didn't live in South Carolina nor did I have family in South Carolina and that I was only born in 1994 so how a house could be registered in my name is beyond me and honestly irrelevant to my car. He then starts lying and says that when the bank called to verify my employment, they got no answer which I know for a fact is not true because my supervisor told me that they called and he has no reason to lie to me. He also said that me bringing my car in for a radio update was actually true until he got an email from someone at the bank "just this morning" saying they needed to take the car from me. Then he lied once again and said that this situation wasn't in his control and that he was just following orders from the line of command. He walks out of the room claiming he needed to speak to someone so I called my supervisor and he told me that they did call him and that he gave them my job time and validation of employment and that I should keep a close eye on them because they're trying to pull something. I said ok and hung up. When Giovanni came back, he asked me if I wanted to get my things out of the car. I told him no and told him to stay away from my stuff. He then exclaimed "you don't want your phone charger, perfumes or headphones? None of it?" First of all, all of those things were in the middle console which was closed. Why are you rummaging through my things? I told him no and told him again to stay away from my things. He left again and this time came back saying that the numbers I gave him were not linked to my job at all. I look at him dumbfounded because now he's sitting there trying to say I gave him fraudulent numbers all because the bank refused to believe me when I told them that my job no longer uses the Work Number. I called my supervisor back and asked him for the direct HR number, he gives it to me and I give it to Giovanni. Giovanni then says, "why didn't you give this number to the bank when they asked for it?" and I say "the bank never asked for it. I gave them the number to my supervisor and corporate HR because those were the only two numbers that I knew" then in this really smart-alicky tone he says "the bank has been trying to call you. If you had answered, you would've known that they needed this number." EXCUSE ME? The bank has not called me since last week. They have not made an attempt to call me. If something dealing with my verification of employment is not going right; isn't it their job to call me and let me know? How was I supposed to know they needed this number without them saying anything? I told Giovanni that the bank did not call me and I can show him my call logs to prove it. He then says "the bank is not going through with this. We're keeping our car but we can have someone take you home." I told him that I was not going anywhere until I got my down payment back. He first said that he was going to give it to me and then said he was going to have it mailed to me on Monday. I told him that I did not believe him and that I wanted it now. He then leaves the room again and comes back saying "we can't cut you a check. There is nothing we can do. This is coming straight from the bank" so I confront him about the radio update and he says "the bank just wanted us to make sure you brought the car back in decent condition. They asked us to do this." At this point I'm furious because now I know this guy is full of it. I said "Really? Because you told me that they emailed you just this morning but I got a call on Thursday from you guys saying I needed to bring my car in which means you had to have had this little plan since Thursday or earlier." Giovanni doesn't have a response for my question and so he leaves. I call my dad and tell him everything that's happened so far and he tells me to keep all of my call logs and signed paperwork as proof and that we should probably get an attorney because what they're doing can't be right. I agree and hang up. Whenever I get angry, I tend to cry and blow up. I got way too upset over the situation and ended up hitting the wall. Giovanni comes back and says that if I had another outburst, he would have me escorted out of the building. I told him that no one from Southwest Kia needs to put their hands on me. If they wanted me escorted out of the building, they needed to call the police. I confronted Giovanni again about being a liar and he shouts "I'M NOT THE ONE TO ARGUE WITH! YOU THINK I WANT TO DO THIS? YOU THINK I LIKE DOING THIS?" I'm not the one that lies to their customers just to steal their cars back from them so I guess you do like doing it. While we are waiting for the police, Giovanni starts taunting me; asking me dumb questions like "are you comfortable? Can I get you some water? Which you like to take a walk and cool off?" I yell no and order him to stop speaking to me. We waited for about 30 minutes and the police finally show up and when the police come, they pull Giovanni out of the office to question him. Giovanni tells them that bank came up with this radio update lie just so I could bring the car back without it being torched, keyed or sold, then he tells the officer that I was irate and rowdy and scaring all of his customers although I was in his office which is blocked off from the showroom floor, he continues his lie and tells the officer that I gave him a phone number that is registered to someone in my family. The officers come back into Giovanni's office to question me and I told them everything. At the beginning of this, Giovanni pulls out a piece of paper from a fake Equifax site. It has the Equifax logo on it but the address bad does not read Equifax.com. It shows the last 4 of my social security number but shows a different Tahj spelt Taj from Tyron, South Carolina. I mean clearly that isn't me, the name isn't even spelt right. The officer looks at the paper and notices that this information looks fake and even his eyebrows were raised as to where they pulled this from. It has the Work Number logo on the side of it but Equifax and The Work Number serve two different purposes. One of the officers turn the other and says "so why do they want their car back?" and the other officer says "I don't know. That's what I'm trying to figure out." So the officers go back into the hallway to speak to Giovanni and then comes back and asks if they can get my stuff out of the car and escort me home. I told them that was fine and they left to go get my things. When they came back, an officer asked me if I was ready and I said sure. They drove me home but before I got out of the car, the officer looks at me and recommends that I file a civil lawsuit. He writes down his last name and badge number in case I wanted to use him as a witness. I feel like I was completely cheated out of my car and that Kia Motors Finance and Southwest Kia worked together to con me. I will be taking the officer's advice and filing a civil lawsuit against them but I also feel that the public should be warned about Southwest Kia and they're shady business practices so that they do not make the mistake of trusting them with their business.

I found my wife a low mileage car that she has been wanting. I called the Southwest Kia dealership to get everything worked out so I could surprise her. I dealt with the salesman Stan for maybe five minutes total before he sent me over to Terry in finance to get everything going for the purchase. We discussed finance options over the phone and I was tossing everything over but I was a little hesitant. Terry then informed me that if I were to come in that day to get the car they would give me a 100,000 mile extended warranty on the car. To be sure he called Cecil into his office and asked him and I could hear him over the phone say "If they come in today we will give them the warranty." I told my wife and she was excited. I asked Terry to get the paperwork together and that we were on our way to get my wife her car. I signed the paperwork and Terry gave us the information on the warranty and gap insurance. The wife took the car out for a test drive.... everything was all good, Not. I got home and starts going over all of the paperwork before filing it. I noticed where I was being charged $2,500.00 for a 48 month extended warranty. I called and asked about this and Terry said that it included the remainder of the factory warranty... well, the car had 21,000 miles on it, that leave 15,000 mile left on the factory warranty plus the 48,000 mile warranty... well I guess Terry and Cecil can't add since that's 63,000, but wait, what happened to the part of giving us a warranty but still charging me $2,500.00? Well, when I went to go to the dealer and cancel this all of a sudden Terry said that he never said that. Whatever...... Never again..... Oh, by the way. the car that I bought my wife broke down the next day. had to take it to a Dodge dealership to have it repaired. Guess they don't do a very through inspection on these cars either since the electric fan was bad to cool the engine. Buyer beware when it comes to Southwest Kia!

I referred very close friend to buy a call from Southwest Kia. She bought her car on October 5th 2013 from salesman Chris Ramirez. She looked at what the dealership had online and then called talked on the phone quite a bit before she bought the car. While waiting on hold she heard that Kia was offering a referral program where you will pay the referrer a car payment up to $500. The message didnt say terms and conditions apply at the end of it, nor did it have an expiration date. So the message was heard before she purchased the car. Then on October 11th 2013, Chris informed me that I would be getting a $100 referral credit and not the car payment that was on the hold message. I decided to call and try to speak to someone, so I called the Dallas office. While waiting on hold, I heard the same referral program message that said they would pay a car payment up to $500. I recorded this message on the 11th, and on 12th I drove out to the dealership and played it for the man in finance, and he told me that that referral program that paid a car payment ended a year ago. My friend and I had no idea! Antonio Ayala informed me that he has spoken with the other managers and Southwest Kia will not be honoring the message from the recording. I am a kia customer and I have said nothing but good things about kia and how much I like my car and talked about the quality of the car. As a customer I was enraged to wait on hold and hear them broadcasting they will pay my car payment for sending you a customer, just for Antonio to pick up the phone and say that the hold message is old and all the managers agreed that they shouldnt have to pay out what your message states. I then requested to speak to the general manager, Edwin Rivera. He never once returned my call and only had Antonio say again that they will not be honoring the car payment. This is sending the message that Kia doesnt honor what is says, which is VERY bad business. This is the amount that Southwest should be honoring. I waited on old again today November 23rd, 2013 and they still have not changed their hold message. This is the worst business ever. I can't believe after all my calls and emails they have not corrected the mistake or honored their mistake.

No lie within a hour and 15 mins I was approved, had test drove, signed paper work, car was washed and tank on F!!! All I had to do was drive off. As I said before I would definitely recommend Southwest Kia for your next purchase and when you do ask for Danny Sparks. Don't worry about the negative reviews trust me I've had two purchases within the last 10 months from Kia all because of Danny! Worst experience. I was in the market for a 2013 rio5. Went to the dealership after reading reviews on how "great" they were. Worked with Danny Spark. He was a basket case running all over the place constantly make false promises like "this will only take a second" and was gone for over 20 minutes. He attempted to bring us 2 cars both of which would not start! He claimed "it must need a battery" they attempted to charge them and they still wouldn't start. He just kept saying over and over he had no idea what was going on. Instead of just going and getting a new battery he just sat in the car and stared at me like "well it won't start oh we'll what can you do". It was bad enough I had to stand in the heat for almost an hour while he and some other stooges fumbled around trying to start the car. Let's see... Common sense would say PUT ANOTHER BATTERY IN if the one it it isnt holding a charge! Also, they didnt even know they had the car I saw online in their inventory. They were shocked that I mentioned it. Which was just another context clue that they don't take care of their cars! Not one but two with dead battery's! Ridiculous! So with that I decided to leave so I told you I was leaving and he just said ok got out of the car and walked off. Never once did he try to console me to keep my business or make an actual effort to fix the problem!Like I said WORST experience at a dealership! Do yourself a favor like I did and take the extra trip down the highway to PATTERSON KIA where they know how to treat their guest and get business done! We just bought our second Kia Soul from Southwest Kia. From the first time we walked into the dealership when we bought our first Kia Soul, we have received excellent customer service. This includes the sales team, the financing team, and the service department. Every time we took the car in for service it was quick effecient and thorough. Our salesman, Fernando Silva, was excellent at finding the right car at the right price and stayed with us all through the purchase process, including helping to sync my phone to the bluetooth. Josh Lozier gave excellent service when we went to the service department. My special son had twisted up a seat belt so badly I couldn't get it straight. Josh immediately fixed it for me. Friendly people with excellent service attitudes. I'd recommend this dealership to anyone.

In April I went to Southwest KIA looking for a car for myself. I was greeted by Danny as I arrived. I told him what I was looking for and he took his time showing me the different models they had. I didn't but a car that night but I was so impressed with him that I went the following weekend and bought a KIA Soul for my daughter. The process was fast and easy. I got a great price and payments. On May 30th I visited SW KIA.. it was raining off and on.. went there to just price and look at the Optimas.. had no intention of trading in my Dodge Stratus... was greeted as soon as i parked my car.. that's when i met Jose Valverde.. although just a "kid" . I say that cuz he was really young.. he was extremely friendly and eager to show me anything i wanted to look at.. i guess i caught them right before a team meeting.. it was cute to see while i was looking at the Optimas ... there was only one i liked.. dark cherry in color.. took it for a test drive.. the car was transferred from Rockwall.. had close to 100 miles on it.. all questions i had Jose answered with enthusiasm and energy.. during the test drive i thought the car needed a front end alignment.. but i dismissed it since my travels never take me in the area of the Dallas dealership.. thought it was just the unfamiliar roads.. after driving it for a week i had realized that it DID need an alignment.. told Jose V. He got the appt.set up when i picked up my plates.. he called me a couple times to make sure i was happy with my purchase.. he called after i got the alignment to make sure everything was good.. that's customer service.. since then every time somebody asks about my car i tell them about my experience.. i always recommend anybody to go to see SW KIA and to ask for Jose V. With his personality and eagerness to make sure my experience was awesome.. i would go anywhere he worked if he remained in sales.. now for service.. this Jose was very professional and worked hard to get me out asap.. he informed me that there is only one alignment under my warranty.. i personally think since the car was purchased just weeks ago that that should not have counted towards my warranty since the car had been driven for at least a weekend..now for finance office.. traded my dodge in which i was upside down in .. they paid off my car but took longer than normal to send out check.. loan company kept calling for a payment.. long story short.. they paid all late charges that accrued.. awesome.. dont let finance officer rush through paperwork.. i agreed on a price with Jose V and the sales manager.. after signing all paperwork i noticed i paid a different price then agreed upon.. it all went very fast and that's what i wanted however make sure u take the time to check all paperwork... would i recommend this dealership and the KIA OPTIMA.. ABSOLUTELY!! Would i return to this dealership? WITHOUT A DOUBT!!! Despite the few minor errors i highly recommend SW KIA and Jose Valverde... I put them on my facebook page and noticed they take pics of people that purchased a vehicle.. i never had my pic taken :( kinda bummed about that but its all good.. i love my KIA OPTIMA.. and i wanna personally thank Jose V for a no pressure sale.. While sitting and waiting on delivery on my new car i noticed some high pressure ( in my opinion) sales.. i am very thankful Jose V was courteous and very friendly.. that's about it from me... go to SW KIA DALLAS.. The salesperson I spoke with was exceptional; however, this is where exceptional service stopped. No one seems accountable at this dealership and the GM is apathetic. How this dealership gets repeat business is beyond logic. There is a very good reason to buy Honda. I have never encountered such inept behavior on the part of the management. No one seems to give a straight answer as the finance department kept changing financing scenarios--conveniently when you think you are on the brink of actually closing the deal after hours of laborous efforts to try to rationalize with the finance department. My first impession of Kia could have been a lot better had there been professionalism on the part of the management. Corporate should know about their lack of accountability and there "just leave" attitude. No one seemed to care or want to make things right. I believe that's why other car companies do so well and have a great reputation, because they thrive on repeat business and care about customer servive all the way to the management team, which is how it should be.

Place was a total joke and running a scam to sell cars. We drove over an hour and all they did was jerk us around. They lied about the specials they were running that were posted in large print on their website. They lied about the customer loyalty program. They didn't give us a 120% of black book like they claimed they would. We went somewhere else and bought a honda that gave us way more for our trade-in than this place offered. I can't say it enough, this place is terrible, terrible, terrible. I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone and will continue to hang the lip on them to everyone I know or run into. I could not have chosen a better salesperson than Lesley Ercanbrack!Even though she has only been at Southwest Kia for about three months, she proved to be friendly, professional,informative, patient, determined, and comical. She listened to my needs and I left the dealership knowing I got just want I wanted. I am also thankful to Terry in the finance department. My paperwork was complete, but Terry belived he could get me a lower interest rate with another finance company. My payments went from $451 to $402 because Terry went above his duty on my behalf. Drove 4 hours to see this car and it was everything I had wanted. They worked with us to get the price where we wanted it and I know I received a great deal. But what they did to help my daughter and son-in-law get a brand new car without making them feel be-little, will earn them a star in heaven. I was very please with my vehicle selection and with the customer service I received. Previous to my visit to Southwest Kia, I emailed another dealership and did not get a reply to that email. April Waggoner was a pleasure to work with. No pressure at all. I felt like I was dealing with a friend. That made the buying decision a lot easier. I would rate April a 10 (but your scoring only goes to 5) and would without a doubt refer others to her if they were in search of a new Kia. She took me to the service center and introduced me to one of the service technicians. That was awesome. This dealership is very friendly and amazingly clean. When you walk in, you cant help but to notice how spotless it is. I purchased my car in December and the experience was a great end to one year and beginning to another. My overall rating of Southwest Kia would be 4.8. I gave the price a 4 only because I was shocked at how much the prices have changed from when I purchased my last car 8 years ago.

We started this journey over the phone and my wife and I were very pleased with the professionalism and courtesy that was provided. James went above and beyond what an average salesperson would do to get us in our new Kia. The first salesman was wasting my time. He didn't do what he was supposed to do. However, that's when James Little became involved. He said he couldn't follow what Stan had done because it wasn't clear. He said he was going to start over and he re-introduced himself to us. Then he got our information again and then asked what car I wanted. The previous salesman said one thing but that wasn't the case. I told James I wanted a black car with an automatic transmission. James went way back to the back of the lot where the new deliveries were made and found me what I wanted. So we drove away from the lot with a 2012 Kia Forte at a price we could afford and terms we could live with. James was so attentive to our requesta and AWARE OF OUR LIMITATIONS AND ISSUES. I came in with a previous ill experience from a different dealership so coming in I was a little on edge. I was greeted by Frankie who from the beginning was so friendly and wonderful! He made the whole transaction so smooth. I even have a little one year old who can be a handful and he was so good with her. I must admit I had pretty specific requirements and he was so professional and made sure the vehicle I wanted had all the elements I was looking for and the price I had in mind. My family and I went to Southwest Kia in Dallas just to look and get an idea of if we wanted a Kia or not. We took a test drive in the Kia Optima and had the pleasure of working with Danny Sparks whom I would give 5 stars to in terms of his customer service to us. However, dealing with the finance office is a different story, I felt like we were getting the run around at times and had to be persistent to make sure things were followed through. Thanks to Danny, although a tedious process, we ended up trading in our old vehicle and purchasing the 2011 Kia Optima with a great interest rate even though our initial intentions were to look only. We are very satisfied with the car, it's great on gas and Danny went above and beyond to make sure the deal closed. I highly recommend working with Danny if you decide to buy a car from here but seek financing elsewhere if possible.

This was a 2 night experience and at the end of the first night I was a little upset with the finance person by the tone of comment that was made at the end of the night. I had indicated that the deal was contingent on being able to get 2 cars one for me the other for my partner, one was looking okay but the other was not, and he said "then it's no deal" which was okay but it was the tone in which it was said that was upsetting. I went in to the dealership with a specific price range that would be within my budget. I told Frankie what I could afford. He gave me a price quote within my budget, I signed the initial paperwork and then Frankie told me that the price he quoted me was every two weeks which meant that the monthly payments would be double my original budged amount. I told Frankie that I thought that was very underhanded and that I could not afford a payment that high. He persisted telling me how hard he worked to get me approved and that I could refinance the loan in 3-6 months and bring the payments down. I felt pressured and continued with the sale knowing I wouldn't be able to make the payments. I know I was the one who made the final decision and that whatever happens I am totally at fault, but I feel that your sales people should be trained to LISTEN to the customers and be helpful to them rather than hurt them. It makes a bad impression. The rest of the car buying experience was great. It was done in a timely fashion, I was helped with insurance coverage and was well taken care of. If I had found something in my price range it would have been a perfect experience.

My husband and I drove in with no intention of purchasing that day. "Just looking"----Oh well. We had seen and optima at a restaurant the night before and decided to go by the dealership to see one up close. However when we drove onto the lot a red something??? caught my eye. I was magically drawn to this vehicle and from out of nowhere appeared Timmy. A well dressed young man that was more than anxious to help. He showed me the optima but my mind kept going back to this larger than I thought RED sportage. Timmy was skilled at asking the right question to spark my ever growing interest in this car. He asked if I wanted to test drive the car and in my own skillful way turned to my husband and asked if HE wanted to drive it. As we drove Timmy was more than helpful in explaining the amenities and by the end of the the trip an avenue of finance had been opened and before we knew it we were in negotiations. Many possibilities were explored in the end an agreement was reached. We were taken to the service dept and met Ray who was pleasant and gave his personal number to ensure we would be taken care of in the event of service needs. Our experience with Southwest Kia was excellent from the moment we arrived. We were greated very quickly by a friendly and knowledgable salesman, Fernando. He was able to get us in the car we were interested in for a test drive right away. We were pleased that there were a number of cars to compare so that we could make the best choice. Fernando had another customer appointment during our visit, so he was able to connect us with Frankie. This transition was seemless and did not seem to delay our process at all. Where do I start? We were looking to buy a new car, but a smart purchase. After some research, we decided to go with a 2011 Kia Optima. Southwest Kia Dallas was the dealership of our choice. Shortly after getting onto the lot, we were approached by salesman Anthony Gibson-Franklin. He was not your typical pushy salesman and he wasnt too pitchy. He was professional and friendly and very accommodating. After we test drove the Optima, I was vocal about the exact color and interior color I wanted and thought would be a nice contrast. The car I wanted was not available on their lot, but Salesman Anthony Franklin did not allow this to hinder his sale or customer satisfactory. I was surprise when Anthony stepped away and returned stating they located the car described. I was so happy I didnt settle and surprise I walked away with the car I described and wanted. The Southwest Kia Dallas experience was so great! The finance department was friendly and financing didnt take long. We felt so at ease and this made the experience more exciting. The car is great! The make and model, the interior, the intricate details surely give me second looks and plenty of inquiries. I was in a bind with my old car on death watch and financing in short supply to due the housing crash. Choosing a used KIA was simple, and I fell in love with the 2005 Spectra I was shown. Southwest KIA finance manager at the time, Amer, really worked diligently to find financing for me. He was able to get me an excellent deal at Neighborhood Credit Union with an interest rate so good I didn't need GAP insurance. With only a few months to go on that note I still love the car and have had no problems with it at all. I highly recommend the KIA auto and the Southwest KIA dealership.

The above ratings given are based solely upon recent visits to this dealership. In the past, the ratings would not have this good. Just to give you a little history, after purchasing our vehicle (brand new) in 2005, I noticed the Service Consultants were different on each oil change. I began to notice how tired they all appeared to where they could not keep up with whether or not I have had certain services completed on my vehicle, therefore would print up a service list of items that have already been completed. Then when it was brought to their attention, they still didn't seem to understand. Clearly, they all seemed overworked, to be honest. I keep all my receipts for service, and I always used SW Kia's service center since 2005. Our vehicle has had a series of issues since day one, and I'm certain, if you read the history of the run around I experienced after purchasing this vehicle, you would readily understand why I will not, in the future purchase another Kia, however there's finally a light shining at SW Kia and it's coming from your Service Consultant, Mr. Darden. Mr. Darden displays consistent professionalism on each visit. In light of the fact this dealership has a "High Turnover" of Service Consultants, I'm pleased to see Mr. Darden is still maintaining a standard of excellence inspite of poor management. This was my second purchase through Southwest. I walked in and got a great price on the car I was looking at and a awesome price on my trade in. I didn't even have to play any numbers game with them. I knew what stock number I wanted before I went in by looking at their website. We sat down with the numbers they gave me the first time and was totally satisfied with them that I couldn't say no! It took a few hours to get the banks to answer back and the papers signed. Easiest car purchase ever. I will go back time and time again. I also recommend to anyone I know how great I was taken care of. The most important thing to me is that they recognized me and who I am even having only been there once before. These are good people. Let me just point out something that is VERY rare when purchsing a new vehicle-- at no point in the process of did I feel any pressure! I was even urged to not go ahead with the purchase if I didn't want the car... Which was definitely NOT the case. My salesperson set me at ease by explaining everything as clearly as she could! So nice to know as well if someone doesn't have an answer right away that you won't be lied to just to get strongarmed into buying. The staff was very helpful, I was even introduced to the service team and given the roadside assistance program information on the advisor's card! Great warranty, great service, GREAT car! Never driven a Kia before, and I will never drive anything else :)

My husband and I went late one Tuesday evening. It was a very busy night given that the end of the year was near. We were lucky to get Erica's help that rainy night. We took a Sorento for a test drive, but had others we wanted to view before making our final decision. We went to another Kia used car site and was kinda hounded by one of their salesman to buy from them. Let's just say that we felt Erica Sutherland was not pushy and made our decision easy and was totally hassle free. I recommend Southwest Kia on Hampton! Our Sorento has been a great SUV! We had our own finacing.We called 3 times and asked if there was any hidden fees or anything that would change the price of a new Soul. Paul assured us that the price WAS as advertised. HE LIED! HE LIED! The price went up $2000 if we did not finance w/them. We drove 50+ on the promise that the price of the car was as advertised. Paul LIED ! There was an $500 add on fee because I was not ex-military, etc. This dealership is DISHONEST at the worst level. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM. I heard rumors about them and decided to give them the benefit of the doubt. I made a grave mistake. PAUL LIED TO US FLAT OUT ! The deals are not that good as they say. I came in here and asked to see the $7,900 Kia Rio that I saw on the TV commercial and he kept saying "you dont want that" 10 times and I asked to see it any way and he goes and tries to show me a '02 Mitsubishi Mirage (a car I didn't know that much about), and right off the bat I see that it came from New Orleans (Mits. dealer decal on trunk). I say "I know what's going on here, You are trying to put me into a flood damaged car that you know you can't sell",He told us to get off his lot if we didn't like his selection of "Quality" pre-owned vehicles. Now I don't call flood damaged vehicles very quality do you?? Anyway on the way out I see the kia and I get out and looked at it and it was really stripped!!! Stick,No A/C,No radio. Who the heck would want that??
