I am 71 years old and have lived in several cities in several states I have shopped at several dealerships over the years I have never found a dealership that even comes close to the service you get at Southern Chevrolet in Foley,Al they are the best I've ever dealt with

In the last 4 years that I have purchased several new vehicles from this dealership, I have only had to take my car in for service a few times. In those cases I have always been treated with friendliness and respect. If they needed to keep my vehicle for a little while I was offered a loaner to drive.

Quite simply, they do not inspect or repair the cars on their used car lot. They run them through the shop, do minimum fluid changes and cosmetic clean up, and ignore any other issues that they know will arise once the vehicle leaves the dealership. You will be out a fortune because of problems they know exist, yet do not repair.Over priced compared to most dealerships on the Gulf Coast. The worst service manger (Mitch) I have ever had to work with. Completely unprofessional, rude and talks down to you with an attitude. Not sure why the GM of Southern allows these things to take place.

My daughter and four friends set out on their first road trip, Iowa State to Gulf Shores, Alabama for Spring Break. hour trip. While in Gulf Shores, their 07 Chevy Trailblazer was shaking and check engine light on. We found Southern Chevrolet Foley, Alabama online. I called to see if they could get in (Friday afternoon), they were booked up. After explaining their story, Adam from Southern Chevrolet's service department fit us in! After my daughter left (dealership just closing), the light came back on and they said, "come back tomorrow morning and we will look at it before their trip back." Car checked out okay the next morning and they were on their way. We are so so thankful they cared enough to fit us into their schedule and did not do unnecessary repairs.

When in your life have you ever walked into a car dealership and not be allowed to negotiate the price of a vehicle? Well that's what happened this evening at Southern Chevrolet in Foley. They expected us to walk in after finding the car we wanted and pay the price they had put down on all the paperwork. Just sign and drive without ever discussing the price, wanted us to believe that they already factored everything into it already. I have never heard of such BS in my life. When I said all right, You sell cars, I sell Real Estate, I know it's a number game so let's play the game they tried to act offended, and told us we could walk out, and that's just what we did.


Bought a cheap vehicle. No disclosure. Car is a death trap.

Southern advertise a price on the windshield and internet. The price matches until you go to buy. It states online this is sale price no other fees but taxes. Lie number 1. This car has been looked over by our service people. That's lie 2. Bought in winter, says a/c works. Lie 3. Felt cold in December. Of course. April comes and notify sales manager (again) that I was mislead about price. Oh wow, free oil change. Tech brings me into service bay to tell me that they changed oil but would not drive this vehicle. " It's completely rusted out". Told him I bought it from them a few months ago. He said " This took years". I said "that figures" , he said "Yes it does". Granted, it's a 2 thousand dollar car, but to be useless after a few months? I would not recommend Southern Chevrolet to an enemy, much less a friend.

Had three relatively simple tasks to be done on my Volt. Everything went super-smooth. Done when predicted.It was hard to reach Lisa by phone for the appointment, tho. I'll do it email next time.I'll be back.

used car mngr[MR Carlisle}talked very loud and hateful to used car salesman[Mr, Hughes}in front of public.i felt sorry for him.the car salesman and I came to a price for vehicle we agreed on.[which mr Carlisle approves of the price,the usedcar salesman does not havr the authority.i went to get money on same evening and when I came back mr Carlisle had moved vehicle to shop and started adding repair expenses to vehicle.[new battery 300.00 really.he continued to add charges that were way out of line.yes the original agreement was as-is and I understood that.There was to be no financing either.I tried to voice my treatment but no one would answer or return a phone call.You will not print this.I see now why there are no ratings cause it is to difficult for old people.

I do not like this dealership nor the employees that represent this dealership. I was lied to and didn't find out what horrible people they are until after the purchase was final! I had requested numerous times to have my salesman to return my call concerning some paperwork I was trying to obtain and after weeks of him not returning my calls then I resorted to management to return my calls in which to this day (6 months later) I still can not get them on the phone. Its funny how they will bend over backwards for you to sign that dotted line... after that your dirt on the bottom of their shoes.. I will never go back to this dealership. Very poor customer service.

I was going to help my daughter buy a new car so I asked her to go and pick out one and get a price with her trading hers in. Since I work out of town I needed her to do the leg work. Abby wouldn't even give her a price on nothing. He gave her the old run around trick. That meant I had to go to the dealer. Time that I don't have during the summer. I did go and I got Mike Turner and he is going to take care of her. If you go to this dealer, don't use Abby Abdel.
