We bought a new CR-V along with roof racks and when they installed them they chipped our roof along with damaging the roof racks and rails. They did not inform us and we noticed when washing the vehicle. It took multiple trips to the dealer to have it corrected and they had our car for 23 days to fix. I would highly recommend against using this dealer for any type of service work. We are highly disappointed and do not plan on stepping foot inside this dealership ever again.Update: I sent a letter to Honda's Corporate Customer Service to express my displeasure as we have been a Honda family. A Customer Service rep reached out to the dealer and myself. They offered to refund some of my money for the poor work if I took down this post. I told the Honda rep that it was curious that Corporate Honda would be in the middle of offering in effect hush money and that I wouldn't take it down but would amend my post to include that they took a step to correct a wrong and he told me their offer was their offer, no exceptions and that Corporate Honda really had nothing to do with this since it was a dealer failure. I wonder how many posts have been taken down due to a small settlement. I remain surprised at the poor level of service I have now received from this Honda dealer and the Honda company.

I bought my Honda CR-V from this dealership and have had service performed on my vehicle there. Very rude, disrespectful, and condescending. Interrupted me and cut me off when speaking. Horrible sales and service representatives. Told me they could not help me with a defective part Honda was installing in vehicles. They said they would have to charge me $95 an hour for the third time to diagnose my same problem. Left there and drove to another Honda dealership. Complete opposite service. And they are replacing my defective part, covering 100% of the cost and giving me a loaner vehicle for the day. South Hills Honda does not give loaner vehicles. Do not give them your business.

I leased for the 2nd time from this dealership. Prior to leasing I have purchased the Honda Civic and have so for many years. The entire process was exceptional. No pressure, no gimmicks just honest communication. This dealership is at least a 30 minute drive for me. I could have driven to another Honda dealership less than 10 minutes away, but I picked South Hills Honda. I think that speaks for itself.

Thanks to Frank Volpe.I moved from NJ to PA recently and visited South Hill Honda to get my Honda Passenger mirror which was broken.Frank was the person whom I met first, in the service department. He was very co-operative and attentive to hear my car issues and suggested/coded me with a better price. Scheduled a appointment and everything was taken care by Frank with no hassles. My husband and I decided to just look at the new Honda Accords at South Hills Honda last week... as soon as we walked in we greeted and introduced to a salesman named Bozi....he was extremely friendly and very helpful...my husband and I had a lot of questions about the Accord. We are a Honda Family...my car being a 2014 CRV...he drove us to a nearby lot and let us look at the cars to get an idea of what we wanted...my husband decided on a 2015 white accord....nobody likes trying to reach that sale price that they want to pay for their new car but BOZI made it so easy and comfortable for us....yes, we would both recommend this dealer...we hope the service department is as good....we were assured it is.....Thank you Bozi and the rest of the team for all your help......

Avoid this dealership. We scheduled a test drive of two cars. We were told to meet the salesperson at 7 PM and received a confirmation from him during the day. We drove an hour and a half to the dealership and arrived a few minutes early. The salesperson had left for the day and they did not have either of the cars we were scheduled to test drive. Not only did they completely fail in this, there was no apology for our wasted time either. We will not be returning.

In 2011, I bought my car from this diller. Last week I stopped by the South Hills Honda Diller for an inspection, oil change and break repair. The women who work there asked me if I have an appointment, what I did not have. She asked me what I need and when I told her only thing that was coming out of her mouth was I cannot do that without an appointment. At any moment, she did not offer any help to schedule an appointment or to try to find the next available appointment. When I asked her can they look at my break because something is wrong, the answer was " no without an appointment". I turned around and left with the car that was not safe to drive due to brake problem but they did not care. Good way to go Honda! Then I went on-line and scheduled an appointment with them and I got a message that someone will call me shortly. Supprize, supprize 6 days later I still did not receive the call. I am done with that place. Next year, when I replace my car, I know for sure that my new car will NOT be Honda. If they cannot provide proper support for the car, I want nothing to do with them. Sending a person who complain about the breaks back to the road without any inspection is just wrong!!!

Went to South Hills Honda to look at a 2015 Honda Pilot. The vehicle was a demo that had ~ 2k miles on it. The experience was awful from the moment we parked and got out of our car. The salesperson met us before we could get in the door and told us that somebody else was already looking at the car. During the test drive, we noticed food stains on the headliner, scratches and filth everywhere. The outside had several chips and at least on large scuff on the bumper. We were desperate for a 2015 Pilot because my Wife loves her 2009 and we don't like the 2016 changes. All they had to do was promise to fix the car and make it like new and we would have bought it on the spot.... No such offer was made. I am sure that some fool will buy it, but not this fool.

I did my homework and knew exactly what I wanted including color. They had it. Garth Leiper offered it at the price I was willing to pay. There was no hassle. The next day they had it ready and Garth went through the entire systems set up with me. I drove off in control. The atmosphere at this dealership was friendly and cooperative to each other and to the customers. My husband, adult son and I were here a number of years ago, and we all commented on how much nicer it is to come to this place now.

Great buying and stress free experience over the internet. Second time I have bought from this business which is 50 miles from my home. Local dealerships were not even close to South Hills Honda "out of door" price. A few of the local dealerships kept bugging me with emails and one actually called which is a big turn off to me. I want the price up front without the hassle and that's exactly what I got from South Hills Honda. Kevin is their internet salesman which he made my buying experience very pleasurable. If you don't want the hassle and an upfront price then give South Hills Honda a call.

The owner was there and greeting customers. Good to see. Their new facility is under construction, so the physical appearance of the current building and lot left something to be desired. That is a temporary inconvenience for a permanent improvement when I take my car back for service. I am a happy customer. Nice job, guys.

Other dealers in the area had similar cars but South Hills Honda maintained an advantage on pricing. Their facility is under construction right now but it appears that it will be significantly improved when it is complete. The decision to buy our second Honda there was easy.

When I purchased a CRV in 2009, this dealer offered me an extended 2 year (2012 to 2014) warranty by Zurich on the vehicle. The finance guy told us we would pay additional $1000 cash for this extended warranty in advance and we could get money back if we did not make any claim during those two years. I bought this service in view of the refund policy although the manufacturer already provides a powertrain 5 years warranty and the extended warranty is not effective until three years later after the payment. Everything was fine until 5 years later. I was expecting to receive the refund as I did not claim anything under this extended warranty. However, when I contacted the store about the $1000 refund, they told me that I need to show them a form to receive the refund. The fact is that the finance guy did not give or even mention any form that I would need to receive the fund. Even worse, they told me that they did not see any record of the refund policy in my purchase in their system. The finance guy who worked with me five years ago was not there anymore. Thus, they argued that they could not verify my purchase and would not issue the refund! I realized that it is either because the finance guy forgot this form or the finance guy tried to sell the extended warranty to us by telling us it was refundable when it was not. After this happened, I searched online and saw many negative reviews about how the extended warranty is not worthwhile and how the dealer tries hard to sell the extended warranty to the customers. I went to the store and talked to the owner Mr. Norton directly. I was offered two options on site: $500 cash or $1000 credit from his service department. At the store, he said he would email us the $1000 credit that could be used for anything offered in his service department except for purchasing another car. In view of my previous experience, I double confirmed this with Mr. Norton before I left the shop. However, when I revived the email, the description on the voucher was significantly different than he promised. It excludes any parts or accessories, which means to use the $1000 credit, I have to purchase parts from his store and to spend thousands of dollars more in his store! The service also has to arrange through a particular staff (Why? So they can charge a higher price on the service?). In addition, Im not allowed to reveal my negative experience with their store on any website if I accept this voucher (dont know how many times he has covered negative comments by doing this). When I asked him to issue the voucher as he promised before, he threatened me that I either took this offer, or I would nothing! So for the second time, the dealer reneged what he promised. In the end, he refused to answer any of my concerns and questions and threatened me again that either I accepted the offer or I would get zero.What an awful experience !

I bought a 2010 (Certified car by Honda) Honda Civic Ex back in May 2014. Overall I am happy with my first car buying experience. Jim Gracey worked patiently and responded to my queries quickly. However during the test drive I noticed that Tire pressure light was on and asked Jim about it. He said they would fix it. The sale was finalized and since it was a Honda certified car I did not recheck the car. To my shock while driving back home I noticed that the Tire pressure light was still on. I did not worry too much as it was an easy fix. The next day I went to gas station and tire pressure was unexpectedly low. I worked on it and the light went off. But the light was back ON again after few days and still remains on. I dont think that the light should have been back ON so quickly. May be something is wrong with the Tire pressure check light or tires it self. Another thing was that my car came without floor mats! On the Internet advertisement it was clearly indicated that the car comes with the floor mats but it really did not. I called Jim and he said the floor mats might have been sold with another car or they might have been damaged. Since this is a Honda certified car they cannot sell me anything which is damaged. But he offered that he could give away some ordinary mats, which will not be from Honda. I was not shocked but frustrated that even when I bought the Honda certified car I had to buy the HONDA floor mats myself since I did not want to drive 30 miles back and forth for some ordinary floor mats which may not even fit to my car. Also I still have to figure out the tire pressure light. Again I would like to say that I am happy with the car I bought and overall transaction with South Hills Honda. But other than good sales spirit, how you take care of your customers after sale is complete matters as well, which is why I am writing my review.

I searched for a vehicle using multiple variables including price. The search returned a vehicle from this dealer with the price hidden. When I inquired, it was more than TWICE the price in my range. It seemed well equipped and the price was reasonable for the features considering its condition but it was a waste of my time.

I came to South Hills Honda looking to purchase a used 2008 Honda Civic coupe. I was looking to lower my payment, and did not have a problem purchasing a vehicle older than my current one with higher miles.When I arrived at the dealer, they took me out to show me the car I was interested in. It was the wrong one. So then began the search to find the vehicle I was inquiring about. It was still in the garage, and hadn't even been serviced yet. The vehicle was already listed for sale online, and the description of the vehicle was "Extremely rare" and "well maintained". Granted I do understand the vehicle had not been serviced since trade, it was filthy, full of animal hair, the visor was broken, service light on, tire pressure light on, and the front bumper cover had a huge hole in it from an accident. The headlights were also mismatched (I'm assuming due to being replaced from another accident). I was informed that if the vehicle was in an accident, it would be on the car fax from a police report etc. Which upon research, accidents don't always show up on a carfax if they are under a certain damage amount.I drove the vehicle, agreed on the price as long as all issues were fixed, etc.Upon talking about my trade (my car was newer, lower miles, still under powertrain warranty, etc), I was offered over $2000 less than my payoff, which is right at the trade-in value from KBB, Edmund's, etc. Also, upon further research, my same vehicle was being sold at auction for more than my payoff, with more miles, and in average condition. I kept getting the run around about no haggle room due to the price of the Honda, and a bunch of other poor excuses, trying to get me to trade my car and roll over the difference into a new loan with the prospect of still being able to lower my payment $75-$100.I stated what I wanted for the car, which was my payoff, or I was not going to trade. I had been to 2 other dealers, looking at used cars as well, and was offered my payoff right off the bat. Again, I kept getting the run around about cash value, and all this other stuff that was a tactic to get me out of my car for less than it was worth. I'm assuming that more money was sunken into the Civic than it was actually worth, so they were trying to make up for it by giving me less, then selling it at auction for more.I stated multiple times, if my trade couldn't be agreed upon, that I did not want to do business, etc. More than once I got more run around after CLEARLY stating payoff or no deal, and not to contact me about it again.They have several used cars on their lot that are beat up, scratched so bad they need an entire paint job, etc.Worst experience I have ever had from a car dealer, and I would not recommend them to anyone.

I took my car to south hills honda for an oil change, while it was there their technician working next to where my car was threw an oil filter, aiming for the trash.. Missed and hit my car and denting the fender. I had to bring my car back for them to fix the dented fender. While fixing the fender the chipped and scratched the paint. I then had to make another appointment to take my car back for them to fix the paint. Terrible experience!! Will not go back. They're careless all that because some threw an oil filter around other peoples cars.

Second new vehicle in two years that we have purchased from this dealer. The first ( Accord coupe ) , they had the right vehicle on the lot that my wife liked, Since it was a straight cash deal, pricing was done by email. This vehicle only hs 4K on it. I priced a Pilot on line with several dealers, this dealer was $500 more than the best price , but 25 miles from my home. South Hills didn't have the color and model I wanted, but told me they could get one. Again ,a straight cash deal, I dropped of a deposit 30% of the new vehicle price and told them to call when they get it in . They called , we arrange a specfic time to to pick it up. I arrived 5 minutes before the time. I was seated in the show room, offered a coffee and had a a couple words with my internet sales person. Thirty minutes later he leads to an office to complete the paper work by a person whon told us, this wasn't his normal job ( it showed ) , paper work was not completed before hand. I wasn't even offered to see the vehicle they brought in before they wanted me to pay for it . No mention was made about their service department, specials, coupns, ect. He couldn't answer my questions about the deal they made me ( Flex dollar -a come on ) . All he wanted was my signature and move me along. As a bonus ,he presented me copies of the sales agreement/ temp registration in a 50 cent black tote bag, Called the intersales person to lead to my car, hand me the package of operators manual/warrenty booklet and keys. Took a photo with a tablet. I was and still am VERY displeased. I hope their service department is much better. Makes me wonder who wrote these other reviews !!

Having leased then purchased hona - went back for 5th oil change -free- asked for oil change and check over since I was taking a trip I am single driver - everything checked out according to them - I went on my way only to find out 6 days later that my brakes were totally shot and cutting in to my routers. Some trusted service which I will never use again.

I just purchased a 2014 Honda Pilot. It has been 8 years since I purchased a new car. From the moment I walked in the door to the final sale my experience was very good. My salesperson was excellant and anyone I encountered during the process was very professional. They made you feel that as a custormer you were important and they made sure that your quesions were answered. I am extremely happy with my new car. It's a big decision and you need to feel like you made the right choice. I know I did. I also have experience with the service department. If you want to overpay for a used Honda then this is your place. 2 of the 3 times I've been here, their prices have been higher then KBB and the sales manager refuses to negotiate the price down to at or near KBB or Edmunds price. It's been my experience in the past when buying Odyssey vans (on my second one now, but have looked at many others in the past) that KBB and Edmunds are consistent with the dealership prices. As a civil engineer who frequently estimates construction costs to build large highway projects, I would never go blindly to a dealership without looking at the KBB and Edmunds prices first. The last Odyssey (EX-L) I bought at #1 Cochran in Moon was below KBB prices. Good vehicle, low mileage, and there was little to no haggling as it was already below KBB. Recently my wife and I (with our 4 kids) went to look at an Odyssey LX at South Hills. The vehicle was in good condition and I told the sales representative upfront that I would be willing to pay the KBB good condition price for the vehicle. The KBB price and the Edmunds price were within about $50 of each other. In fact the Edmunds price was the lower of the 2. With both prices being so close, in my opinion this is a pretty fair estimate of what the vehicle is worth. They were over $700 above KBB. After a test drive my wife and I went inside the dealership. We explained to them that we would be financing through PSECU (with an extremely low rate) and that the they probably couldn't beat the rate. Of course they wanted us to fill out paperwork to check to see if they could get us a better rate. I'm pretty sure this was a stall tactic to keep us in the dealership and make us feel like we invested time there so we would be less likely to walk away. They started asking me to fill out other paperwork as well, I don't recall what it was, but about that time my 3 month old started to fuss. So I really wasn't interested in filling out any more paperwork unless we were going to make a deal on the vehicle. Again I let them know upfront what I was looking to pay for this vehicle. They kept trying to get me to agree to pay more using several sales tactics (manipulating monthly payments, financing options, etc.). Once laughably claiming that you can't always count on KBB or Edmunds when comparing vehicle pricing. OK sure....but if they were below KBB, I'm convinced that would be one of the first things out of the salesman's mouth. Maybe that works on some people, but my wife and I have been around long enought to know what they were trying to do. At one point after I got tired of the games and fighting to keep my kids in check, I said so are we doing this for KBB or not. I need to know because I'm not filling out anything else until I find out. So the sales guy said to me I have to go and discuss it with the sales manager (yet another game, did I mention I have a friend in the car sales business). Seriously I told them atleast 5 times this is my price, KBB good condition. The salesman came back and said the manager would not do it for the KBB price. So the bottom line is the sales manager wasn't going to budge and neither was I, so I walked away from a bad deal. I've found you can't be affraid to do just that. So later that night the sales rep has the audacity to call me back and asks yet again if I was willing to come up in price. Seriously!! How much more clear can I be. What a colossal waste of an hour and a half!!I gave these guys another shot because they are close to where I live, but I'm definitely done with them from here on out. There are too many othe dealerships offering better deals on the same or similar vehicles.

From the very beginning with South Hills Honda I had a great experience! It started with just an inquiry over the internet which I didn't think at that time would lead to a sale. TJ was prompt with answering ALL of my questions right away. I really thought the conversation would be over when I explained to TJ that we had a large amount of negative equity to get rid of and a low payment we wanted to achieve, but he never gave up. I have had nothing but Honda's for the past 30 years. I currently have 3 Honda's which were all purchased from this dealership. 2 were purchased new about a decade ago, and one was purchased used about a year ago. I really would not think of buying a car from another dealership. I have always found the sales people very helpful, kind and can actually make the car buying process fun. They have always been very upfront and explain different options on vehicles and how they might help or hinder my personal driving needs. The service department is second to none. I am familiar with the mechanic(s) that work on my cars over the years. They have been very honest with me and have even told me when they see a repair issue that can wait until next time. They also have coupons and discounts on service from time to time. I really like the oil change and fluid check service that you can just drive into and wait. The shuttle service is also quite helpful if I have to leave my car there for the day. I do admit, sometime the cost might seem a tiny bit high, but you also get what you pay for. For our family it is worth it; for folks we have come to know and trust with our lives, when we are driving on the highway! The people they employ there are also very nice and friendly. I have recently found that to be rare in the service industry. They are second to none for us!

I purchased my car in 2011 from the dealership which was a great experience, but everything after that regarding service and finance has been a NIGHTMARE.Shortly after purchasing the vehicle I began to have problems with the anti-theft system. It would lock up my ignition and not allow me to start my car unless I reset it by keeping my key in the ignition; as it turns out this was a known problem of my vehicle. On day, in the dead of winter, my vehicle wouldnt start due to the anti theft problem and I had to have my vehicle towed to SHH. I told them about the problem, referenced a bulletin that Saturn/GM had put out about it, and referenced consumer write ups about it. I was dismissed and was told it was my battery despite the fact that I had just had it tested. They charge me close to $200 to replace the battery and send me on my way. 2 days later guess who needs their car towed again because the anti-theft system is malfunctioning? In the dead of winter while stranded at work? I had to ask that the old battery be put back in and the actual problem be addressed which took a week of arguing and they sent my car to a GM dealer down the street that was able to fix it, and they said my assessment was absolutely correct. I finally was reimbursed for the battery but it was a battle. I was completely dismissed, no one communicated with me, and the secretary was consistently rude. Because Im a woman in my 20s? Because they dont deal with GMs? It was the worst customer service I have ever had, ever. Now, after all that, the vehicle was totaled and I need to be reimbursed for the extended warranty that I purchased because I obviously cannot use it on the vehicle. I signed documents terminating the contract literally 4 months ago and still no check. No one returns my calls, I get sent straight to voicemail, and Im beyond frustrated. By my estimate I need to be reimbursed about $1700. Never again. Stay away.

I needed to have 3 things checked/fixed on my 2011 Honda Accord: 1. I knicked my wheel on a curb and wanted to have the scratch fixed. 2. My rotors seemed like they needed resurfaced. 3. I have a very loud noise in the roof above my head whenever I go over a bump in the road - something is loose and/or clanging around up there. I narrowed it down to the exact location (right above the visor area). I called and made an appt. I was told someone comes into the service department on Wednesdays to fix wheels so I made my appt for a Wednesday. Ryan called to advise me that 1. The guy wasn't there to fix my wheel but he (Ryan) could have each one of my wheels rebalanced for $10 each. What?!! Why would each one need rebalanced when only one of the wheels was scratched? 2. All 4 rotors would need resurfaced to make each one even when finished. 3. He (Ryan) didn't hear a noise in my roof. He specifically said no noise! I think he is deaf. I told him never mind - don't do anything. I got the impression that he: didn't take my wheels off to even check the brakes - he was making an assumption. I don't think he took my car for a ride to even try to listen for the noise. I don't understand how 4 wheels could need rebalanced for a slight scratch in one of the wheels. I won't go back there again for service. He was very unprofessional and not friendly at all.

South Hills Honda is the place to buy a Honda; hands down! There is no reason to look anywhere else. Sounds crazy, but despite being a longtime customer, I searched around (just to be sure), compared prices and still found the absolute best price at South Hills Honda.I have a 2007 Honda Civic Si and we just replaced our 2004 Honda Odyssey with a new Odyssey. I got the Consumer Reports price report before shopping and, from my calculations, I think South Hills Honda made $37 on our deal....yes, only $37. Sounds like a commercial, but it isn't! I take both of my cars here to be serviced. As always, their service has always and continues to be spectacular, the people are friendly and the prices can't be matched. I cannot say enough great things about this dealership.

Went to So. Hills Honda to look at used Honda Civics. I walked into a packed Sat evening dealership and was immediately greeted by Bob, who showed my wife and I the used Civics in the lot. We were looking for a 3yr old Civic with 25,000- 40,000 miles and they had a nice inventory to choose from. We picked out the one we liked and went on a test drive with "The Civic Expert", Greg Plavchek. Greg was knowledgeable, friendly and very professional. We were going to look and some other Civics at other Honda dealers in the area but decided right then to deal with Greg P. We also met and talked with the used car sales mgr - Jason. I have to say that Bob was a real trooper. My goal was to trade in my car so I could get a less expensive car and get my daughter a car. There was a couple of cars on the lot that my daughter liked but they were not in my price rance or condition that I wanted to feel comfortable getting the car but I found a car I liked so Bob helped me to realize I should work on getting my car taken care of and then we can work on getting my daughter a car. It took some time for me to make the decsision to buy the car and when I did the financing wasnt were I think it should be so Bob went above and beyond to find a bank that would finance me at the % I could live with...It took me about three weeks to decide to finally buy the car and he was patient and stuck with me. I appreciate his positive attitude and flexibility he had working with me. The only thing I didn't like is negotiating the trade-in...I wish that whole part of the process was easier and less stressful. So now i have a great new(used) Honda CR-V. I was stressed and overwhelmed at the thought of making a major purchase and will admit I wasn't the most pleasant person to be around that day, but Ronnie was friendly and patient. He answered all of our questions and didn't try to push things on us that we didn't want. Only complaint is with duration of sales process. I don't know why it took so long. I arrived at 430 and did not leave until 730. Seemed like a very long time to have a trade evaluated before signing the final deal. Not a big deal but something to work on. Once I got into finance the process went quickly (other than the video I had to watch about stuff I didn't want). Anyway, Bozi was excellent and we are very happy with our new CRv. Everyone is always very friendly at the dealership, even when I brought it in day's after purchase to have the wheels balanced.

Terrible place to go. Spoke to sales rep. They took me to a car, which was fair priced. They let me drive this used Toyota, then said they would make repairs and get back to me. They never did. The evaporator was messed up and they didn't want to fix it. The manager said if I bought the car "right then" then he "Swore on his name they would fix it in 2 weeks". I'm 25, but a fairly young looking young professional, so I had the assets and I took them somewhere else. Its three weeks later. I went up to Mike Kelly Automotive (which I thought I'd hate because its in Butler and sells usually chevy's cads hyundais and kias. However they had this beautiful used Honda del sol. It was in immaculate condition (brother's into automotives and checked it out) No repairs needed after buying used. Best Purchase ever. Talked them down on the price a very large amount. Totally kind and cooperative.Would recommend Mike Kelly Automotive to anyone. Sales Consultant was Joyce Burka. Its the least I could do after they gave me a free awesome gas card.-Almost totally screwed over by South Hills Honda. Don't like the disrespect. They tried to take advantage of my kindness. Almost had a clunker of a car.

Last August I purchased a new Honda CRV from Greg Plavcik at the Honda dealership in McMurray, Pa. It was a great experience and one I was not looking forward to until I met Greg. Purchasing a car is usually not a fun thing especially for a widow. He found the exact color and model I wanted and made my trade a very easy thing and gave me a fair price. This my second purchase in the last several months. TJ Stipanovich and Jim Gracey were wonderful to work with. When a problem cropped with my first purchase the Jason Steffy helped out and the car was replaced. Everyone in the showroom was friendly, courteous and helpful. The single most impressive thing to me was the continued professionalism and service I received from Garth after what was probably a big disappointment: I went in talking about buying a $22000 car, then when we were looking at cars simply happened to see a $7500 car on the lot, and Garth not only wasn't dismissive of the car but recommended it, despite what was surely a loss to him in commission. He was at all times friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, and professional. And, near as I could tell, the atmosphere in the dealership generally reflected those characteristics. This experience was much better than my last experience some years ago at another place where I was given the hard sell by people devoid of most of those qualities. As far as price, the price for the car I bought, in that condition and with that mileage, was better than any I'd seen online.

My husband made an appointment to have RECALL item fixed. When I dropped the car off my windows were down and I overheard to mechanics talking. In reference to me being a woman I heard them say to one another "What have we here...?" I immediately felt uncomfortable being a woman at this dealership. My Service Advisor was Ryan Klanchar. I explained that we had an appointment to have a recall item fixed. I told him that I would need the car back by 3pm. He said this should be doable. When I arrived at 3pm, Ryan seemed to have no idea who I was. When I explained who I was and why I was there all I got was, "Well we didn't call you yet." When I asked what was taking so long or why it wasn't finished, I was greeted with a chorus of "I don't knows..." "I'm not the mechanic..." "I just came onto this" "I wasn't the person who talked to you husband..." I asked him to please find out more information. When he returned he told me that the had just finished up diagnosing the problem. They didn't have the parts. I could bring the car back in a couple of days. WHAT? We made an APPOINTMENT to have this PARTICULAR RECALL corrected. WHY WEREN'T THE PARTS THERE? Why did a diagnoses TAKE OVER THREE HOURS? Why didn't you call to tell me I could pick up the car earlier? Suddenly the MIGHT be able to have the parts in by tomorrow -- but I wold have to call THEM.This car dealership is a bunch of arrogant cowboys. Disrespectful and irresponsible. My wife and I were out to buy a new SUV, and we were very interested in the Honda CRV. We arrived at South Hills Honda at 4:00 on a Saturday afternoon, the dealership closes at 5:00 so we didn't really have any plans of walking away with a car that day. When we arrived, we started looking over the CRV in their show room. We looked at it and walked around for about 10 - 15 minutes before we were finally greeted by someone (this is the only reason I took 1 star off customer service). However, in their defense, there was absolutely packed that day. The person who greeted us asked if we had been assisted yet and we told him no, so he said "Well let's see if we can't remedy that". Within 5 minutes he introduced us to TJ, who took us on our test drive of the Honda CRV. We absolutely loved it, and TJ was fantastic and incredibly knowledgeable for such a young person. He gave us a lot of good information on the CRV and its competitors, and it didnt feel at all like he was trying to persuade us or bad mouth other brands. He was just straight forward and honest with us the entire time.When it came time for the credit check, TJ told us he believed that wed qualify for 1.9% or 2.9% APR financing. However, when the credit check was run he told us that we actually qualified for 0.9% financing for 5 years! He sounded just as excited about that as we felt about it! They offered us the car for a little over $1000 under MSRP, and with the fantastic APR, we jumped on the deal. Once we were officially approved it was time to talk to Frank about the financing.Frank, like TJ, came across as straight forward and honest the entire time we talked with him. He lined up several options for us to look over the additions that they try to sell you. But the best part was that Frank didnt try to sell us on anything! He even told us that he didnt recommend certain options for us because he didnt think they would benefit us at all. This was a huge relief to us as we were both somewhat expecting that hed be trying to sell us on the extras.Overall our experience at South Hills Honda was fantastic! We would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a Honda vehicle, and ask for TJ Stipanovich and Frank Guerra!

I was in the market to purchase a vehicle for my daughter and one of the dealers I considered was South Hills Honda. I asked for pricing for two models she was considering via email. I received a call and gave Greg the information and he promised he would get the pricing to me that evening or the next day. I expected it by email as he requested. It took him three days to try to get the pricing to me, but via phone, not email. After I left a message for him to provide the pricing to me. All he gave me via email was what the monthly payment would be. Nothing to do with purchase price, tax, fees, etc. so that I would know what I am buying. That tactic is old. I won't visit a dealer unless I have something in writing before I go in. I have been burned before by misrepresentation. I would stay away from this dealer and their sleazy tactics.

if you have a trade, i would look elsewhere. Took my car in for trade on a used Honda fit. Had car appraised for another dealership for trade and was quoted 8400, the most they would give me is 4200. Granted other dealership may have artificially increased price, but not by double the price. They're trade value snare horribly messed up. Tried to tell me that my car needed 5000$ in work, and that they only sell cars in topnotch condition, but the fit they were going to sell me had rust spots, and needed new brakes in the front very badly. How can you be that particular but not replace not replace something as simple as brakes. c'mon guys, you swindlers will have to try harder than that.

My fiancee and I were excited to start the search for our first new Honda in 12+ years. We're big Honda fans and were looking forward to a test drive and learning more about our (hopefully) future car. We were greeted by a salesman who sat near the door, Ronnie. After the initial handshake, his first question was, "Are you buying today?" We answered honestly - "No," because we're just starting our search. He proceeded to shake his head in disgust. I told him we wanted to test drive an Accord and maybe an Accord Hybrid. He informed me that Honda doesn't make an Accord Hybrid (my mistake), they just have the Insight. (His mistake - they have the Civic Hybrid.) I asked for clarification - "Does your dealership not carry a Civic Hybrid or do you mean Honda doesn't make a Civic Hybrid?" He was annoyed and said that Honda doesn't make a Civic Hybrid. Okay ... We finally got in an Accord and were met with dead silence as Ronnie drove. We drove about a mile and I said, "So, what can you tell me about this car?" Ronnie said, "What options are you interested in?" I asked Ronnie, "What options are there?" Ronnie got annoyed again, said I must be an engineer and asked what I did for a living. Thinking he was joking around, I played along and asked what that had to do with anything, which further set him off. He accused me of "going hyper" on him when he asked what I did for a living and that I was asking too many questions. (Reminder - WE'RE HIS CUSTOMERS) Then, more silence. To break the uncomfortable silence again, I asked Ronnie what we were actually talking about here, and he said that I was coming off bad, he'd sold Hondas for 30 years and that sometimes people rub each other the wrong way, then he reintroduced himself to me and my fiancee in a creepy "start over" manner and told us at least five times during our 10-min drive that he was "just there to sell cars." (No kidding.) That still made for a very tense test-drive, so much so that my fiancee was rattled and didn't want to drive the car. I drove us back to the South Hills dealership and Ronnie gave us a lackluster walk around the car and, as we wrapped up the most bizarre bad-dream customer service/sales/performance art experience of our lives, my fiancee asked Ronnie for his card. Ronnie told us we didn't need it, we could call the dealership and ask for him, he's the only Ronnie out there. That's okay, Ronnie, we won't need your card since we went to Rohrich Toyota and had a great test-drive experience with a salesman named Teddy. Toyota Camry Hybrid, here we come! Ronnie and the nightmare of his phenomenally poor customer service and madras pants are already fading into memory, except for the other four or five Internet message boards where I plan to share this experience.

So I thought they were nice enough at first. They gave me a pretty good deal but nothing that the other dealers didn't match exactly. Here is where they got slimey. They repeatedly told me that the deal ended on June 30th but the Honda website and commercials and other dealers said July 6th. I called them on the phone and asked when the deal ends and was told the 30th. I said everyone else tells me the 6th and they said no it ends on the 30th. I asked for an explanation and the guy tells me as a dealer it ends for on the 30th since that is end of month but for a consumer it ends on the 6th. So, they were being misleading and lied to make their sale by EOM.I called back the next day and told them I couldn't make it by the end of month because we were booked absolutely solid the rest of the week but could come in on the 3rd. The guy says deal is off the table if I try that. I replied that it wasn't off the table for the other dealers. I then told them I could do them a favor and come in that night if they made it worth my while and knocked $200 off as I would have to miss some work (and thus income) and my wife was going to have to miss a baby shower for her friend. I figured that was all worth about $200 otherwise I'd have to come in at a later date. Either way they would get the sale. The dealer says OK.Now they totally revert to being classic slimeball car salesmen. I knew full well our trade in was at least $600 on KBB in poor condition. It was actually in better condition but I expected about $400. They offer $200. My wife says just do it, we can't drive 3 cars home and the extra $200 we'd get on Craigslist or whatever isn't worth the hassle (I didn't mention we had an infant and were there for 2 hours already). So the kid, Cody, who is in his early 20's leaves us at his desk alone for about 3.5 hours. He never explains what is going on and just leaves us to sit with an increasingly tired baby. He just hangs out with a few other dealers yuking it up in front of the store. Other, more professional guys were at least sitting with their customers. I walk up behind him and literally hear this: "...so they come in for their Honda LX and ask for $200 off, Ha ha ha, but I got that back from them in the trade in....." I interupt him and he jumps and gives me the "Hey buddy!" routine. I say "we're leaving, baby is tired." Well wouldn't you know it they are just about to call us back to finish up. They had us sitting there on purpose trying to wear us down to sell us some high priced warranties.I was now pissed and wanted to walk but the wife says we just put a total of 7 hours into buying this car at this dealer with the test drive etc. and we're finishing cause the baby can't sit around any longer, we need the car now, and we aren't doing this again at another dealer." So we bought the car but the way we were treated was unprofessional and immature and very nickel and diming. Not at all like a valued customer but as someone to screw over for a few more bucks and laugh about.I know what to expect from dealers, I read all the websites and these guys are no different. Full of tricks and scams and double talk. I could follow my check list of their trcks to the letter right in order as I expected it to be. From the "Let me get you a great deal and talk to the guy in the control tower.".... to talking behind me at another desk on the phone to no one LOUDLY about how they are working hard out here for me and won't accept such numbers....to getting grumpy about how I treated them badly when I didn't buy after the first test drive....to "losing the numbers" we initially discussed (and we'd have to start from scratch) - I had the numbers all along. Apparently I got the last Civic in my color in Pittsburgh and it was hard for them to find.Just know that South Hills Honda is no different than any other dealer. They are there to make as much money as possible and use any trick and tactic to get it. Every other dealer in the city matched them exactly so they aren't the cheapest either.

Took crv in for 4 wheel alignment after I replaced the trailing arm bushings. I was told I would be charged an extra $85 for them to reset the bushings so the rear end could be aligned. OK, maybe it was needed, even though I was very careful to install the new bushings in exactly the same position (I marked the arms before removing the old bushings for alignment guides) as the old ones, but they're the experts, right? Less than 3000 miles after the 4 wheel alignment and brand new tires installed, my rear tires are worn from misalignment and need to be replaced. After 3 unanswered emails and 2 phone calls where I was left on hold for longer than I could stand, I will pay to get another alignment elsewhere and never use this service department again, let alone purchase a vehicle from them. And just in case someone from South Hills Honda reads this, I was going to purchase a new Honda from you guys early in 2010 to replace the crv and compliment the $35,000 Pilot I bought from you a couple years ago. Stupid. Just bad business.

Today I went for my "free" state inspection for purchasing used CRV at this dealership. I was charged $52.95 incl. tax for my emissions inspection. I have gone to other dealers and only paid $37.95 for emissions inspection. Service manager told me he could charge me one cent or $1,000. for an emissions inspection. Told the time it would take would be 1-1/2 hours and it took 2 hours with empty waiting room. I guess it took them that long to TRY to find something wrong with the vehicle they recently sold me. I told service manager I would not be back in my lifetime for another service related visit or a purchase. BEWARE!

I had purchased my Honda here while it was still Yenko Honda and the first service came due after the long time owner sold, staff changed, and this became South Hills Honda. While performing this first service, the South Hills Honda dealership service department lost a part from the vehicle. I had to discover this myself and go back to complain, not that anyone from South Hills Honda informed me proactively that they lost this. I was told by Service Manager John Quattro that I should order a new part, that it costs about $15 and so it's not much money. I told him they lost it, they can order the new part and remedy THEIR error. I had to go back their, and also repeatedly call and call in order to get Mr. Quattro's action to order the part and eventual resolution. He took over four weeks to rectify this. I learned later that the part was sitting there for a week and nobody had acted to contact me.I actually came back to South Hills Honda for service a few months later, for an oil change, because I live nearby and I had written off the lost part to someone's mistake. When I picked up the car, it had been scraped along the lower door. Paint was damaged. The Service Coordinator replied that the scrape was there already. This issue is unresolved. I've taken the vehicle to a paint shop before winter sets in.I do not recommend South Hills Honda in McMurray, PA for service of any kind.

My 1999 Honda Accord, LX 4 door sedan was repaired at this dealership in response to my service request to diagnose and correct a check engine light error code. After diagnosing the error code as P0301 and completing repairs, I picked up the car from the dealership on September 17th. However, the very next day the check engine light came back on again when driving the car. I took the car back to the dealer again for them to double check the repair and diagnosis works done the first time. This time the dealership told me that the one exhaust valve on cylinder #1 was too tight and that they have fixed it. Since the problem was not fully corrected the first time around, I requested them that the repair charge this second time be covered as a warranty on their repair services. First the Assistant Service Manager, Mr. John Quattro, disputed that the second time repair charge was actually a separate repair service and that I need to pay. When I insisted that the 2nd service was related to the original problem, he reluctantly discussed with the Service Manager, Mr. Lee Cumberledge, and got the charges covered under warranty. However, as I was leaving the dealership, Mr. Mr. John Quattro told me that the Service Manager, Mr. Lee Cumberledge, has asked me NOT to come back to the dealership for service again. When I expressed my displeasure on the comment, he corrected by saying dont come back to this dealership if this problem recurs again. I insisted Mr. John Quattro to give me his comment in writing as proof of the remark, but he refused. I drafted a note, in his presence, mentioning his comment and presented it to him to sign. He grabbed the paper and crumpled it and threw it in garbage, visibly violent in his action. Then he asked me to contact his Manager, Mr. Lee Cumberledge, for any written statement and ordered me to leave his dealership saying he will call the police if I insist on him signing. I was quite upset at this treatment, especially, because I have been coming to this dealership for servicing my Hondas over the past 20 or so years ( since the time it was called Yenko Honda ) and never once faced a rude treatment prior to this time.
