Stopped in to see their line of cars. Liked one of their cars and the salesman said he will talk with the owner and let me know if the price would come down. He was to call me on Fri. or Sat. That never happened. When I saw the price come down, a week later, I went back to Shannon and got another salesman, if that's what you want to call them. I asked a question and he replied that they turnover their inventory every 45 days. I responded, yea, right like all the other used car dealers say. He walked away and said, "have a nice day". If you call him a salesman, he needs some training. I will never go back to Shannon again, with so many quality used car dealers in RI.

In July after having some car troubles I went into Shannon Motors not knowing what to expect. Being young and having poor credit didn't help me out very much anywhere else. I went in with all the necessary paperwork and drove off with a car that same day. Eddie was beyond helpful and was very good at explaining every single part of the process. I even got some helpful ways to raise my credit score. This is definitely somewhere I'd refer people to.

I payed my car off and sold the Dame thing June 10 2010 and they are still reporting on my credit today that I have late payments been fighting with them for the last 2 years trying to get this removed I have the recite for the casters check from Wachovia bank and Shannon motors for this vehicle but still they report 6 years after paying off this Dame thing that I'm not making payments xxx.......Don't buy from them they still xxxx you over in the end ...and I have called and have been cursed out buy employees at the Johnston location ....

I am not pleased with the Woonsocket location.. i have never had as bad an experience buying a vehicle as I have had here. worked a couple of days to get financing. which I was told was all set, theen I am told that the bank dropped you. waited most of a day to find out about another financing. I was almost told I had to sign over my first born to get a loan.. I went on the phone and did the financing myself. Now i am told that I cannot have the vehicle till the money clears the bank. my bank told me they transfered the funds two days ago. Every time i call Jarrod, I am told he is busy and cannot come to the phone. I called three times. Iamaway and I transfered the insurance from my trade in to the Dodge Ram effective today. Once again no vehicle. I now do not have insurance on my trade in and have to keep it parked, I will not be referring anyone to this dealership. I was Finally called by Jarrod he explained that the bank had put the wrong number on the deposit chedk. They would send s check with the right account number. He said my son could pick up the truck as I was on vacation and took the time to deal with this situation. When my son picked up the truck He noticed that the cable that we asked to be fixed was not done. They had over 2c weeks to get this done and were assured that it would be taken care of. And was also told that we have to go Johnston to pick up the plates. All I can say is that the bad situation continues An overall bad experience. just gets worse. If my son hadn't liked this truck so much I would have walked away. I hope that I do not have any other problems .

I had such a positive experience at Shannon from salesman Paul Reis. It was a stress free process. Not after that though.. change oil light is on the next day after I buy the car. I call and am told I need to go to Shannon because someone did not reset the change oil button? And it has to be during my work hours, closed at 4pm. Then today I am told that I need to meet the Shannon person registering the car , 3 days before the temp plate ends.. because they need the vin # and they do not have the title I am told? Then Autopay sends me recall notices. I call Shannon and no one calls me back at Shannon including the salesperson.Then yesterday and today the car stalls in the morning on my way to work at stop signs or lights. . I call Shannon again today and they put me through to collections, then someone's voice mail. I call back to speak to a person in management and she tells me I need to take it the dealer for recalls and that is probably why it is stalling when I stop. I ask where? She does not know. Then I am told where to take it to..a Chrysler dealer. Now I have to take it there to be checked out about the recalls. And if the car stalling is NOT due to recalls, back to Shannon it has to go and I am told that they have no loaner cars as I leave it there 1/2 day or more. sorry...I think I got a bad deal on this Chrysler 500 2015. I tell the manager I think I need to return this car. I am told I cannot.

My experience with Shannon motors was great. I was greeted by Paul Reis Jr an everyone else was friendly. But anyways after walking in sitting down with Paul I told him I'm looking a car because my 02 Chevy Impala was not looking good and I couldn't be in that a car for any longer. So what he did was we did some paperwork and in my mind I was thinking I don't think I would be approved for a car but Paul did everything he could and got the car I needed and after 2 hours I drove off in my 05 Toyota Corolla S. I felt I was given the run around and flat out lied to...that occurred when Jarrod told me that my issue would be taken care of regardless of what Kevin said about the mileage or the time.This is the second car I bought from Shannon but as of now it will be the last and there wont be anything positive to say about this experience even though I did come back to buy a second car. The second car experience killed any good feelings.This is a long story which I will try to succinctly summarize. The next day after I bought the Buick and drove it home, the engine light came on and I called Ray Deluca, who sold it to me. He was not at all concerned. However, I was concerned and brought the car back. Service got the light off, but within a few days, it was back on. Already, I was getting very frustrated with this car, but I must say this second time, Kevin in service took my car in and sent it to Hurd Buick. At that point, Shannon/Hurd had the car for something like 7 days. When I got the car back they said they had put another engine it with 62,000 miles on it. Within a couple of days the light was back on! Then the light went off again! A few days later, the light came back on!! I called Kevin and he indicated to give him some notice and to bring the car back. He NEVER gave me a sense of urgency or a time table and in fact said go to AutoZone and see what the problem is. Nothing Kevin said indicated that Shannon would not help me out because of all the inconvenience I had gone thorough to this point.However, because of this tremendous inconvenience and Kevin not having a sense of urgency, I did not rush back. In fact, I talked to some auto people and had it checked out, and they indicated to me that although corrections had to be made to get the light off, there was no need to do it right away. Much to my surprise, when I called service and got Bobby and them Kevin, they both said they would not take care of me and that it was not covered. I was upset and went and saw Jarrod and I explained the situation to him and he agreed that I should not have to pay nor be penalized. Mileage and time had nothing to do with it, he said. Then, I was sent back to see Kevin. He checked it out and said that there was nothing he could do for me.In the meantime, I checked with several automobile people including one at New England Tech's automotive area, and they said there was no way I should have had a misfire on that car. It seems like it all comes down to bad spark plugs, which would have been old spark plugs that came with the engine that they just put in (which is the second engine!) My driving that car did not make the spark plugs bad and the misfiring occur. It really started right from the beginning when I got the second engine and as Jarrod said, there should have been no time limit on that because of all the inconvenience that I had already incurred. Bobby and Kevin should not have been trying to wiggle out of helping me , but rather either replaced the spark plugs or gotten Hurd to do it. I believe that was the right thing to do because the whole thing has been a mountain of aggravation. I am not happy that as soon I drove the car off the lot I would have incurred a bill of several hundred dollars. You guys should stand behind one of the bank cars right on the street, especially when it is the second one purchased. I also want to comment that I liked Ray, but it was lousy that when I told Ray about this stuff he just sent me to service instead of running interference for me after I bought the car from him. After I spent that time with Ray and he made a commission, I had to go to Bobby and Kevin right away. They had no reason to help me, evidently. I am writing because I want this made right out of principal and to save an unjust expense. Then Shannon Motors would be back in my good graces like it was for two years

After a terrible day of finding out I needed my 04 Chevy Classic fixed, and realizing the money it would take to do so was simply not worth it, I made a trip to Shannon Motors. I was greeted on the lot by Shawn with a smile and a handshake. After talking for a few minutes and explaining my predicament he helped me come up with a solution, I left shortly after with a new to me 2007 Hyundai SUV that is both comfortable to drive in and suits my needs perfectly. We spent time budgeting and finding out the best options for me and I even received unexpected (but greatly appreciated) financial advice on how to raise my credit and cut down on my monthly bills. Shawn was incredibly knowledgeable, easy to talk to, understanding and 100% helpful. The entire experience was great, it felt like I was talking to someone I've known for years and not once did I feel like he was trying to push a sale, only that he legitimately wanted to help me solve my problem. I'd recommend him one hundred times over, if you're looking for an honest and helpful representative I highly suggest you go see him!

I was treated with respect, kindness, humor and never felt the stigma of having poor credit.Ray and everyone went far out of their way for me. From dropping paperwork at Johnston to making the Massachusetts Registry run. Even picking me up at my home on Ray's way into work to pick up my ScionShannon Motors and their staff goes above and beyond the call of duty. I bought an over priced car from them two years ago...I gave them plates to put on the new car and drove on them for four months before they decided to call me one day asking me if I was going to pick up my plates? I asked what they were talking about and they said my plates have been sitting there for four months and the plate I been driving on are not up to date! I asked if they could send them to me and the "sorry term for a woman" said no and hung up on me!!! I called back and the same woman answered and I asked to speak to the manager on duty...the manager went to defend her lady who called me and said she meant no disrespect...due to this alone I will NEVER do business with them again!!!! I was lied to by the manager, paid taxes in those plate for an additional 4 months and most importantly I could have been pulled over for expired plates!!!!NEXT the finance is horrible! I have over an 800 credit score and around 740 two years ago when I bought the car and Shannon Motors hit my credit over ten times trying to go through small banks they do business with!!! This caused my credit to tank do to hard inquiries that's were not necessary!!! On top of all negative details with service and finance...I have put over $5000 into the car since I bought it and have driven it a total of 6,000 miles in the car in two years!!! They replace only tires that need it and don't match them and don't have any honor or respect to have a past buyer come back for repeat business!!!Do not trust or buy from Shannon Motors!!! Their selection in all locations are over priced and not serviced correctly!!! Again WARNING even if they can approve you!!!!!!

I highly recommend Shannon Motors in Warwick, They helped me get a car with a history of some bad credit and current status of no credit. The car is beautiful and runs well. It has had one issue of a hood prop was not attached, but I took it to Shannon in Johnston, and it was fixed within 15 minutes and the service personnel were polite and friendly. My only criticism of Shannon Motors would be that I think that the Warwick location should handle both repairs and car registration. I had to go to Johnston for the repair a week ago, and now I have to go there again this week to pick up my plates and registration which I thought I could pick up in Warwick. If I knew ahead of time, I would have waited to get the hood prop fixed. But all in all, a very good buying experience!

I purchased a vehicle some years ago from Shannon's Johnston location. Buying the car was easy enough. Pretty easy scenario, except for the day of delivery. That day was the worst day of customer service I ever experienced. The vehicle was delivered uncleaned, and they refused to prep the car for me. I gave them almost three days to make it right. Upon them notifying me that the car was taken care off I returned to find that NOTHING had been done. I told them that my gut was telling me this was a bad idea and I no longer want the car because of the terrible interaction with them. I did take the vehicle but not after they threatened me a few times with all kinds of credit issues and a lawyer. A few months after owning it, the transmission failed. It was a $2500 adventure. At times my father would stop in and drop off the payment for me, if I was out of town. They made a clerical error and told my father I hadn't paid a few weeks back. Of course he objected because he knew I was up to date on the car. He argued his point and Shannon Motors called me personally to inform me that my father "was drunk and disorderly". I paid the car off very fast so I wouldn't have to deal with them anymore. First and last experience with Shannon Motors. Beware of the sales day rush to get you to drive away and take delivery.

It really worked for me and I was able to improve my credit score to the point where I could purchase a brand new vehicle. Paul made what could have been a horrible experience and turned it into something great. He made sure everything was perfect before I started resigning need paperwork. I had mentioned that I ideally wanted the Mazda CX-9 but it was sold. I just purchased a used vehicle from Shannon motors in Woonsocket .We were a little nervous about what the results would be.Due to some hard times we went through over the the last few years, my credit wasn't the best ,but we needed a vehicle.We heard some good things about Shannon motors,but we didn't have much confidence.so I would go online ,look at cars saying this would be a nice car ,but didn't know if we could get one.Well a wonderful lady called us ,her name was Shannon Souza,very nice personality and she was very patient with us,because we still didn't think we had a chance,so while we didn't think there was a chance of owning something nice ,she would leave a message asking if we were still interested in buying a quality vehicle in which she would follow that by saying she would guarantee we would leave with a car and would be very happy ,she didn't know this but she started making me believe maybe I could get a car.So finally I made an appointment but I wanted the appointment to be in the Woonsocket branch and Shannon souza was in warwick , I guess it was meant to be ,Shannon moved to the Woonsocket branch that weekend of my appointment well needless to say me and my wife felt very comfortable with her there.then I meat Jared the owner who seemed to do all he could to get us in a preowned vehicle, and there was this young ladie also named Shannon who did the paperwork ,she explained everything clearly to us ,I guess having a name Shannon doesn't hurt when you work for Shannon motors.everyone made us very comfortable ,and they weren't pushy like some salesman can be .I just had to share this to anyone looking for a nice peowned vehicle with people who really want you to be in a in a nice car .thanks

I went to Shannon Motors in a bad mood, because my transmission on my beloved Saturn finally gave up. I didn't want to buy a new car, but I had no choice. First, Paul completely cheered me up with his remarkably positive attitude, then he spent a significant amount of time figuring out exactly what sort of car could make me happy. He called back in the timeframe promised, and said, "You are going to be VERY happy!" I was - lower payment, lower interest rate, the exact make and model I asked for, and most astonishing - a more-than-fair trade-in credit for my disabled Saturn. (And he risked life and limb to drive the poor Saturn wherever they planned to store it, because I refused to get back into the "death trap".) When it was time to finalize the transaction, Paul went out of his way to make my life easier - he offered to pick me up and drive me to the dealership, and he cheerfully tagged along when I insisted on a lengthy test drive. (I wanted to be sure about the car!) Finally - and most impressive of all - two days after I bought the new car, I realized I left something of value in the old one. Paul tracked it down and drove out to the storage facility to retrieve the item. I say, Vote Paul Reis for President! He gets the job done! leased a Nissan murano from shannons a year ago . also in the price was their warranty for additional 1700.00 . but the catch is every time you use tie warranty they charge you 200.00 !! well in 6 months I was back at 1200.00of pocket with an additional 300.00 for a power steering hose .!! this place will not stand by their cars !! I plan on going elsewhere in the future

Seems to be some split opinions here, so I'll voice my own experience.After being in an accident that was not in any way my fault (two other cars collided, and one pushed the other into mine from another lane), I had to replace my wonderful Honda Accord. We went to Shannon Motors after hearing they can work with less than stellar credit (ours was around 620 after some history with student loans, buying a new home and other incidentals).We went to the Providence location and was treated well by Daquiri, a sales rep normally stationed in Johnston. They were able to secure a loan for us but wanted to offer us a 2012 Ford Fusion (in my opinion, the worst car on their lot - by their own website, it was the oldest model available). I noticed a 2013 Toyota Prius for the same price, and received no hassle about changing to that car. Great sales experience, the price is right about where KBB shows this model, and the financing terms were acceptable.Our only less desirable experience so far was we have had the car for over 2 weeks and have not yet heard back regarding the new license plates or registration. I literally just today called Daquiri to find out what was going on with this, and was referred to another person who was handling that (this is standard in the auto industry... sales sell the cars, and the back office deals with the minutia).The car is great, the terms were reasonable, and the only negative I can cite is that they didn't call us to let us know about any hold-ups with the registration, or to pick up the plates. I am following up with them this week but I do feel they should be more proactive about this sort of thing. It's just sensible "360-degrees" customer service.

I have a car though this place and their lack of communication is terrible. The first time I have a problem and asked for a manager the sent me over to the customer relation person who said they would call me back. 2 months later she has still not returned my car! I asked them 1 month ago to chance my car from MA to RI. They told me they don't need anything. When I call back they want money to transfer the plates and they would take care of it. I paid them the 15th and they tell me on Tuesday that they now need a copy of my license and new policy. Why was I not told that 2 weeks go when I made the payment. Their service has been horrible and EVERYTIME its costs me MORE money. This is after the 1500 dollars in repairs I have already made to the car!

Their employees are not held accountable, i was told people make mistakes I would still have to pay a balance even though the error was on their part. Avoid this place!!!!!

I went and paid the difference to pick my plates and the admin key needed to control the computer in the car. I was told originally i had the admin key but when i tried to reset the settings we found i did not but i was assured by the sales staff they would have it at their main office when i picked up my plates. Shocker they dont have the admin key and according to Todd (who i was told was the mamanger of Shannon motors) sales people can tell me what ever they would like over the phone if although he admitted they believed i had the admin key they arent willing to replace it. They will reset the system for me but if i ever want to do it again ill have to pay ford. Just another thing i was lied to. My bad for trusting what the sales person told me.

He made everything easy and was so friendly and professional at the same time. Within a two hours or less I was heading out the door with a car. The gentleman I dealt with when I had to sign the rest of my paperwork was friendly and explained each paper as I signed and was always ready with an answer when I had a question. So far two for two so watch out service here I come. Jarrod Toledo is the best. I would and will be recommending family and friends to visit.

Jarrod helped me with my purchase of a Dodge Ram. He was very knowledgeable and great to work with. I had a great experience doing business with him. The only disappointment I had was when I was not notified earlier that I had to take the vehicle to get a vin check. I paid in full for the registration and took the truck home the same day. Jarrod told me I will get a call once the plates are in in approximately 2-3 weeks. I got a call 3 days before the temporary plates expired and had to miss a day of work to get the vin check done and get the plates.

Went to the dealership on the last day of August expecting them to give me somewhat of a good deal. Drove from Boston to find that they would not negotiate on the price of the vehicle I was looking at (a 2011 Ford Explorer) and their offering for my trade (a 2007 Ford Explorer). Their offer on my trade was around $2500 below KBB/NADA trade-in value and they refused to give me any more for it - and they would not budge on the price of the newer Explorer either. Their reasoning for refusing to negotiate off of asking price on the newer car was that it was priced reasonably, which it was, but I expected that they would have negotiated on my trade-in with me to earn my business. I did not feel comfortable leaving the ball in their court for the entire transaction and was hoping they would negotiate on the trade because I really wanted to buy their Explorer. I told Shawn that I would like to see a higher offer for my trade, made sure he knew how interested I was, and emailed him some figures - never heard back. This was last Friday. I was very close to buying the car but it did not seem like they were interested in making a sale.

Not only did Shannon have the EXACT make/model I was looking for, the car was even better in person. I was given all the information I asked for, no nonsense, up front, sales person wasn't condescending or obnoxious like most in my past experiences. He gave me all the pros and cons of my financial situation. He basically went the distance to help me get the car that I really wanted. Last year, after after weeks of looking for a new car, I finally gave in and went to Shannon Motors. I was very hesitant at first because of what I have heard about them in the past but I was running out of options. Jay was so helpful and got me into a car that day. My credit wasn't great so I was leasing my 2005 cobalt. Last week, after having my car for a year, a problem with the exhaust came up, my car was so loud and uncomfortable to drive. I took it the dealers right away, really not sure what I could do about it. Well Jay had told me a year ago, if I payed all my payments on time and opened another line of credit, it would help raise my credit and possibly get me into a better car (because at the time I couldn't afford too much and wasn't terribly excited about the cobalt.) Needless to say, once again he had made my car buying experience wonderful, he got me a better car that day (because I listened to him and raised my credit.) not only did he make the experience stress free, but he helped me through the entire process step by step, since car shopping tends to be a very overwhelming thing. Would definitely recommend to friends and family!

When we walked in we were greeted fast & kindly however the first salesman we spoke to didnt explain the program well didnt call us when he got our approval and even lost our paperwork and paystubs however when i called a week later i got to speak to a wonderful sales man named jim he found what info he could he called me the next day told me i was approved and what down payment i needed depending on what car i picked. When we went in to meet with him he was very professional informative and kind he corrected the paperwork redid everything very quickly thoroughly explained everything and got us into a new car the same day he was incredible i am so happy with the service we received from that point on.

I would highly recommend Shannon Motors if you are looking for a dependable used car. Car shopping to me was intimidating, overwhelming and something that I was not looking forward too. Ed Fernandez and the team at Shannon Motors took me by the hand and within one week found me a dependable, low mileage, used car with all the perks I was looking for, and most of all it was reasonably priced. Ed handled the sale with the greatest of ease, then Bill in the finance department handled the financing and helped me set up payments that will assist me in building my credit. There was no high pressure sales, no gimmicks, just sound, honest advice, which made my experience joyful and easy. I will definitely go back to them again!

They convinced me to sell me original truck only for 800 when the value was 2000 and had me take 400 out of pocket. As soon as I brought my their truck home I soon realized it had something wrong with it. And I brought it down there twice for them to tell me nothing is wrong with it. I have had it seen elsewhere and they have told me there are quite a few things wrong. I pay over half a grand including the payment and insurance for a truck that shakes when I drivers the abs breaks come on randomly causing a safety hazard. And still they say nothing is wrong with it and refuse to fix it. They are scam artists.... I advise GO ELSWHERE!

Got "pre approved " sounded promising; that I was going to walk in sign and drive and that was far from the case. Long story short. If you don't have a GREAT credit score they will throw you something in something they want to unless you put downAlot of money. It's a joke and the Guy ED on resevoir can't control his emotions and thinks he knows it all. Better off going to big time dealer rather than deal with amateurs. Good luck. After I left with the cash I had IN HAND and they saw I wasn't ditching out more cash and left. By time I got home i got like 4 calls and a voicemail.

I THAN TOOK IT TO A NISSAN DEALER WHICH I MAY SAY THE BEST PLACE EVERY. THE TOOK MY CAR AND INFORMED ME IF MY TRANISMISSION WAS BAD AND THE MILES WAS UNDER 120,000 MILE, NISSIAN WILL COVER IT FOR FREE AND GAVE ME A RENTAL. WHICH SHANNON MOTOR TOLD ME BASICALLY TO DIED IN THE CAR WE ARE NOT GOING TO FIX IT. I HOPE THAT NOONE EVERY GET A CAR FROM THEM. I thought I'd give them a try...I called and spoke with David Bruscini and he told me to come right in and he would let me know what they could do for me. Everyone there was very friendly. I needed a dependable car for transportation for a job that requires me to be there regardless of conditions. I had a old car with a lot of problems. Rhode island was about to have its first storm and I drove by Shannon motors and saw a sign for reliable cars. I walked in and was immediately greeted by the receptionist and Dave. Dave was very personable and understood my situations. I was hesitant in making a choice to take on payments but Dave and his manager provided the comfort I needed. I am overall very happy with the service and of course the car I selected. My relationship with Shannon motors started on the right foot and looks to be a bright future. I recommend anyone come to Shannon motor and also see Dave for great customer service. I am very happy with my experience.

Can't imagine purchasing a car anywhere else. Prior to coming into Shannon Motors, I had been to 3 other dealer ships looking for the exact Nissan Murano I wanted. I have been a Shannon motors customer for two years now and have never had a problem that was too small or too big that they could not fix. they are very reasonable and will work with you until you are satisfied with everything you are looking for in your new car. I was not please with the service I received from Todd Pereira. He was very rude and very disrespectful, he really should not be working with people. I have purchased 1 other car from shannon motors, that was a good experience, but this year, they had made unauthorized withdrawals from my account. This dealership is an utter nightmare and I highly recommend passing them by. If you need a buy here pay here there are many other options in the state that function much better than this...My husband and I went in to look at a minivan we saw online. First off, the website is almost impossible to navigate. Funny thing is, is that even their own staff don't know how to use their site nor do they have a separate inventory page that lets them know which lot their cars are on. So be warned. You may show up at one lot and the vehicle you may want to see may be at another lot. BUT, of course in the mean time they have their lovely salesmen ready to try to suck you into their spiel of how they guarantee financing So while we decided to see what this dealership could offer, suddenly we couldn't qualify for any "out of house" financing. Then the great salesman asked if we would take a car. So I made clear up front, no car. Minivan not negotiable. I have a child in a 250 lb power wheelchair...where do you put that in a car?? So not only did the salesman not listen, he was rude. He told us "with our credit profile we were not gonna qualify for what we wanted". Ok, so then he throws this "in house financing" at us.Then the financing person calls and says she may have a bank and suddenly we don't qualify for in house financing. Then he tells us the bank denied the loan, so back to the in house finance crap again, but now he wants a $4000 deposit. At this point I want to spit on this guy. He then told me that obviously I haven't bought a car w/ my "bad" credit before and I needed to go around other dealerships and get a wake up. We left basically told him to take his "deal" and shove it. We went to another regular Honda Dealership (Colonial in Dartmouth, Mass). The salesman treated us w/ total respect. The finance manager got us a normal loan w/ regular terms for a 2010 Odyssey. Shannon told us we couldn't qualify even for a 2004 Odyssey. BUT here is the huge warning!!! A month after we left Shannon Motors they kept running my husband and my credit files looking for financing (3 weeks after we bought the 2010). Doing that they keep leaving "hard credit requests" which stay on our files for 2 years and damage our credit scores!!! Am very angry and plan on filing a complaint against them thru BBB and possibly RI Attorney General's Office. BE WARNED AND RUN FAR FAR AWAY!!!

Look, lets be realistic. This is pretty much a predatory car lot that throws out loans to people that have very poor credit that are considered extremely high risk to loan to. The reason they are so effective is because this is the LAST resort for people with very bad credit. At this point most people in that situation dont care about what the car is, what the price is, or how kind the salesmen are. They just need a car and need one now. They wont budge on prices because if you dont buy it, they will find someone that will in the long run. Its Rent A Center but instead they sell cars. Walking into this place you smell the stench of desperation from people that need a car.Just remember that they are not there to sell cars to people with great credit that can go to a real dealership. They are there to deal with the desperate. Their rudeness shows this 100% they dont care because if someone is purchasing a car through Shannon, this shows they have no where else to go.I purchased a car through them and of course I was desperate at the time and knew I was paying top dollar for a bottom of the barrel car, but I had no other choice. It kills me inside every time I make a payments for a car that is worthless (I once tried to trade it in and thats the response I got). But for the time being it fills a need I have.To make a long story short, Use this Place ONLY if you CANNOT get a car loan from ANYWHERE else. But expect to take the embarassment and abuse of using a buy here pay here place.

Run Away Screaming Before It's Too Late!I have never, in my entire lifetime, encountered such an unprofessional, dishonest, crude, abhorrent, immoral group of individuals at once in a single place of business (if you can call it that)! As long as this review is, I do not even have the time or room to explain how infuriating those people are or all of the incidents that have occured since I walked through their doors in Warwick! They prey on those who feel they don't have many choices due to poor credit or in my case, being unemployed. There are a lot of desperate people in this economy. To the ones in the market for buying a vehicle, please, for your own sake DO NOT GO TO SHANNON MOTORS!! IF I HAVE TO TELL EVERYONE I MEET and go to more "regulatory measures", I will. It has been hell since 9/23/2011 when I signed the loan agreement. I have taken the vehicle back to be repaired 3 times, already (twice for the same thing) in Johnston! One of the times I left my vehicle with service, I called for the first time three hours after I left it. The person in charge of the shop said I was "a pain in the ass", and hung up on me! I called back three times and he picked up the phone and slammed it down. He was extremely rude to begin with. He and all the other employees I had interactions with made my anxiety level go through the roof just with their attitudes alone! I spent a lot of money on a car with 108k miles on it! I should never had to have gone through what they put me through! I regretted giving them the down payment directly after the transaction (which was not refundable). They are the WORST... from the GM, to the salesmen to the God-awful person they have in charge of service. I, mistakenly, wrote a complimentary letter about the finance person to the owner, since, he seemed to be the only person who knew what he was doing when I purchased the car. He turned out to be a letch, as well. He promised my plates and registration would be ready on a certain day and time and they were not until 5 days later after he made such a big deal about getting the sales tax money. They also put GPS's on all of the cars that are loaned. I heard that was illegal. Incidentally, the sale took from 10:30 am until 5pm. I won't get into that day except that I was lied to, ridiculously, by the salesman. I agree that they need to be investigated by every agency that is eligible to do so. I am sure they are breaking laws left and right and just not getting caught. They take advantage of those who are uninformed, as well. I do blame myself for not going to a site such as this or ALL of the other sites that have customers telling the truth about them. I should have investigated further and I would have never gotten myself into this mess. Too late. I just don't want anyone else to make the same mistake. To those who had good experiences with them, I will tell you how lucky you are. If they haven't screwed you over yet, they will in some way, shape or form. I honestly believe their employees write good reviews about them! In any other "normal" business- all of those workers would have been terminated! Even the people in the billing office are extremely abrasive. Clearly, the owner doesn't care how his customers are treated. From the Warwick dealership to Johnston they are all lowlifes. Their iniquitous behavior should be outlawed. Their doors should be closed forever. I knew that I was signing a loan for way too much money to begin with after paying a very sizeable down payment. I felt that was my plight due to my situation. I know people are not perfect. I know that dealerships like them are disreputable. I never expect anything to be 100% perfect. I am realistic about things in general. However, to be dealt with, as a consumer, in such a disrespectful, appalling manner is ABUSIVE. There is no excuse! The GM pretended to be nice for a day because he HAD to or I would have gone to great extremes. Then he finally showed his true colors and acted as though I was "putting him out" when he was merely doing his job to get me a loaner while the vehicle was being fixed (which they apparantly, never do). He told me he would meet me at 8:30am on the day I was to get the loaner. He showed an hour late and pawned me off on another employee who proceeded to stick up for the creep who called me a name and hung up on me! I was there for two hours when I had a class to get to! They do not seem to realize that customers have lives, as well. It is insanity. The GM had the audacity to act like a psycho over the phone when I had my dad call him after they devalued my vehicle in "fixing"it! He must have known he wouldn't have any repercussions for doing so. His threshold for being "nice" was obviously extremely low. One of the reasons I chose that particular vehicle was because it had an automatic starter that the previous owner had installed. Without notifying me first, they took it out of the car because they said that was the reason I was having mechanical problems with it. They flat out refused to put in another one. That says a lot right there. To top it all off, what I have written is not even everything they have done! Purchasing a vehicle is supposed to be a positive, exciting experience. This couldn't be further from the case. Apparantly they are too ignorant to know one key thing in life... KARMA IS A BITCH.
