What a great experience. Jim Rosenberger was patient, helpful and not your typical fast talking salesman. He was a super nice guy. Loved him :) Their finance ppl were fantastic too. Horrible rose was rude and only cared about selling the most expensive car possible. Techs could not even replace an axle seal without a leak. The owner mr sands didn't seem like he wanted to hear my concerns. And the used car salesman is just an xxx. Go to manderbach they were great Sands is horrible

Horrible service. Owner threatened me.I purchased an 08 ford taurus there 6 months ago. When test driving the car I noticed that the brake pedal had some pulsation in it. I asked the salesman about it and he insisted the brakes were in top shape and that there was nothing wrong. When I asked about what if he was wrong he said to bring it back when I have the leaking oil seal repaired under warranty and he will take care of it. I told him I will give it a few months if its not bad to see if anything else comes up. Upon return the salesman was no longer with sands. There was no record of this agreement. So I had to replace brakes at my cost.While purchasing the vehicle I also noticed some rust on the underside while it was on the lift and asked about it. Upon asking if there was any rust on the paint I was also assured that the paint was in fine shape minus the few small nicks etc. A few months later upon the third wash of the vehicle, I was finally able to get the car truly clean with no foreign material on the paint. Where upon closer inspection I noticed the paint bubbling at the bottom of the c pillar. I asked the used car manager about this and he said what do you want me to do about it? you should have seen it when you looked the car over on the lift bear in mind the vehicle was above my head and there is a body molding which covered any view of this area.Before bringing the car back for service and mentioning the above issues, I started shopping for another car, and went to sands. Rose was ignoring my multiple statements of my budget and kept trying to put me in a vehicle that was 3-5000 above what I wanted to spend. She was rude, pushy, and even said you will not get approved for another vehicle with more miles. Turns out I was approved for a vehicle over 5000 miles and it was an 06. Rose is just trying to make a dollar, and only cares about her commission. She mad us (me and my girlfriend) feel like we were not worth her time. Multiple times she dropped our sale to work on something else. When I asked to walk around the lot and look at what they had she replied I have other things to do you can call me if you need to see anything.Upon having such horrible responses I left a message for Mr. Sands. When I explained things he consistently repeated how confused he was, so I would explain again. Upon the 15th or so time hearing him say this, I asked what I could clarify and could only get the reply I'm confused, I do not see where the issue is Multiple times he assured me I was wrong, and that his employees did not act like this or say these things.Last night after talking to him I updated all my reviews to show the recent events that have happened.After seeing this Mr sands called me to discuss this further. This time he actually understood what I was trying to say and payed attention to what I said, I thought maybe we were getting somewhere. Its sad it takes a bad review to make a company pay attention to your concerns. However when He asked me to remove the review I told him I will not remove it. I will only update it with the future proceedings. At that point he got defensive and informed me you cant just go and be mean to people on the internet and its not fair to post a bad review about someone. When I still insisted I thought my review fairly represented the circumstances, he decided to threaten me. I had an appointment scheduled on Thursday to have the Axle seal that was installed incorrectly under warranty repaired. He told me if you do not remove the bad review I will cancel your appointment and we will no longer work on your car. I told him how if he tries to make things work I will work with him. I even offered for him to cover the deductible of $100 for the improperly installed part and I would go my separate way, and have it repaired elsewhere. He just continued with the same threat. Finally he offered to make it right, but did not mention how. When I asked him what he would do to make it right. He told me I have to make a demand on what I want. I offered to have him cover half the cost to repair the hidden rust, he did not want to do this. I offered to have him just cover the cost of the front brakes, he did not want to do this either. Then I said what can you offer? He said you can remove the negative reviews and we will fix the axle seal if we caused the leak. At that point I ended the conversation as he was only concerned about removing the reviews and will bully, harass, and threaten a customer to get what he wants. I would not expect a grown man to act so childish and unprofessional.The only good part of the entire operation is cheryl in service and the service manager, both were very helpful. Also paul I think his name was, he did not assist with anything dealer related but was a nice guy to talk to while waiting on rose to assist her more important clients.Do not go to sands. Do not buy anything from them without a third party mechanic taking a look over it for you. And do not allow Mr. sands to bully you like a school child. I for sure know I will not be back.Mr sands also informed me that he will be able to reply back, that I did not provide enough details, and that my review was unfair. I have updated for the final time to include all the details, and fairly cover it from an unbiased view. Mr. sands I welcome your response and expect nothing more than your typical uninformed, rude, condescending defense.

Purchased a 2013 Honda CR-V from Sands Ford this week. Dave was terrific and extremely knowledgeable. Best thing was he listened to what we wanted and didn't push us into something we didn't want or need. Purchase process was smooth and Don explained everything....even went with an extended warranty.

I bought a Kia Sportage here which is only 3 years old and was told that the warranty of 10 years 100,000 miles carries over. However, now there's a problem with it (a serious one) and they tell me I need an oil change. They call me to pick it up saying that it's still broken and the oil change did not fix the problem and the that the warranty doesn't carry over if you're the second owner. This should have been told to me when I purchased the vehicle so I could have had the option to purchase an extended warranty. So now I'm left with a broken vehicle and no loaner car to get to and from work and no warranty. Also, it states on the website that Ford can diagnose and repair vehicles "of all makes models and ages" so I'm curious as to why my car could not be repaired there. Why sell Kia's if you can't repair them. I'm very dissatisfied and won't be purchasing a vehicle at Sands Ford any time in the future. While the service dept. tried to be helpful when I brought it in, I am still disgusted that it was given back broken. It's very difficult to be down to one vehicle in a household where everyone works and is on the go daily. I'm not sure where to go from here but I know I shouldn't have to pay almost $1,000 out of pocket to fix a problem on a three year old vehicle. Very disappointed!!!!

Scheduled a time to come in and test drive the car. The sales person,Paul Boyer, told me to come in at a certain time because they were booked up until then. I told him the car I was looking for. When I arrived he was busy with a walk up customer. Another sales guy,Mr. Koscil, took me and informed me I couldn't test drive the car I wanted because he was pretty sure Paul with was selling it to his cousin. Then they offered me cars I wasn't interested in and just tried to sell me something. Way disappointed.

My entire car buying experience took five days in total only because I wanted to use my credit union. Had I used their financing it would have been much faster. I had Jim Rosenbuger as my sales associate and was grateful for his outstanding customer service. He was ready and enthusiastic through every step of the process. I was also impressed with their extremely competitive pricing. Recently purchased a 2004 Mustang from this dealer and overall was a good experience. For it being 12yrs old, it wasn't in perfect showroom shape which is to be expected from a car more than 10+ yrs old however for the miles and price I feel it was a good buy. I had Rose as my sales person and she was very helpful and made the buying process easy and quick. I drove 2 and a half hours to the dealership using a rental and she even helped me return the rental to the company I used for the rental to get there. If anyone is looking for a used or new car, I would definitely recommend checking this place out and to ask for Rose.

I went for a used car with very bad credit to a Chevy dealership and they were just rude and would not help me get a car even tho i had a nice amount to put down !!!!Then i went to sands ford and let me tell you they were great and got me a very nice car with no problems which I still drive two years later with not thing i had to get repaired . i also get my oil changes and inspection there which is also good service !!! Great experience. Well worth the 2 hour drive each way from northern nj. Jim the salesman answeared all my questions on the phone and when i got there the car was as he had explained. I bought two used cars from sands ford and each time I have been done over. This last time really hurt me. I bought a 2001 Mitsubishi Eclipse convertible and I was not told anything that was wrong with it untill I paid 500 dollars towards the purchase price and then I found out that the car's high beams didn't work and the rear axle was bent. I would not have bought the car, but I was already in 500 and I didn't have enough left to leave the 500 and go somewhere else, so I feel like I was taken advantage of because I didn't have enough money to go somewhere else. I will never buy another car from them. I thought since they were a big time dealer that they wouldn't take advantage of me, boy howdy was I WRONG, I can't believe how they stay in buisness.

I bought a used Lexus from Sands Ford "AS IS" and the price was very fair after assessing the vehicle which I had plenty of time to do. My salesman Randy was very polite and helpful. I live in Pottsville and decided I would do my research online because I am not a fan of buying a car. I don't like the wheeling and dealing. So after a long search, I narrowed my vehicle to 3 possibilities. I was surprised that one was actually in the town I live. I called all three places and found the customer service was great at Sands Ford and went right over. The vehicle I wanted was even nicer in person and it drove awesome. The interior had more options than I could even imagine. It was perfect! We discussed payments for about 10 minutes. Their finance department found me a terrific interest rate and we bought our vehicle. Everyone loves it, but more important- my kids, myself and my husband feel like we got a great deal and are loving taking trips in our new Chevy Traverse LTZ!!!!:)

My wife has a very bad illness and the car we owned was absolutely no good for her to get around! I looked at Sands Ford of Pottsville's website and found a vehicle that would auit ALL OUR NEEDS! I emailed the dealer to find out if it was atill available and Colleen and Dayna wrote me back fairly quickly and answered our questions. They both were VERY HELPFUL!! The next morning I called the dealer and spoke to their Sales Manager. I explained that my wife was ill and to drive her that far away, from Bethlehem, Pa. was difficult! So, he asked about our trade & what vehicle we were interested, then he asked me to hold on. When he came back to the phone he asked what type of deal we were looking for, so i told him the most I wanted for the trade and yhe most I would pay for the minivan. He then said as long as I our trade was in the condition that it was, then he could do the deal! We left that afternoon & we met.their sales man, Paul Boyer who took his time to ahow us and wxplain all about the minivan!!!! Then paul took us on a test drive and we loved the minivan! Paul was VERYHELPFUL & VERY PAITIENT, Epecially since we got done with the test drive at about closing time! Then something AMAZING HAPPENED.......THEY SOLD us the minivan TO US AT THE DEAL WE WORKED ON OVER THE PHONE!!!! NO PRESSURE AND NO PROBLEM!!!!!!! I recently visited Sands Ford of Pottsville to buy a used 2012 Ford Fusion. The car was ready for me to test drive the minute I arrived. The price was fair, and below book value. The car was honestly represented on the website. The sales manager and sales consultant were both very friendly guys. The buying process was quick and painless. They cleaned the car for me after I test drove it, prior to me driving it home. Overall I walked away a happy customer with a nice car!

I went on the SANDS FORD web site, and Sharon, in customer care, set up an appointment. The salesman she set us up with was Paul Boyer. Paul is great salesman, answered all of our questions. We went just to look that the 2012 Fusion we saw on the web site, we drove it home the same day. Paul showed us all the features the car had, and also programmed our phone to work with the Bluetooth in the car. Rich did all the paper work, and got us a great fiance rate. Everyone at Sands Ford are great to work with. Anyone looking for a car should see them first.

I went on the SANDS FORD web site, and Sharon, in customer care, set up an appointment. The salesman she set us up with was Paul Boyer. Paul is great salesman, answered all of our questions. We went just to look that the 2012 Fusion we saw on the web site, we drove it home the same day. Paul showed us all the features the car had, and also programmed our phone to work with the Bluetooth in the car. Rich did all the paper work, and got us a great fiance rate. Everyone at Sands Ford are great to work with. Anyone looking for a car should see them first.

Drove 2 hours from Maryland for an amazing deal. Although was unable to haggle with the price, it was fair to say I did get an exceptional deal with a vehicle that had perfect Car Fax and extremely low miles. There were some missing pieces to the car and good thing I checked under the car before driving 2 hours back. I found it strange that it was on the lot without the dealer not noticing the missing item. But, they did confirm they will take care of the matter. It was a quick transaction and made it home in time for dinner. Jim my salesman was responsive and communicated with me via email quickly. I hate buying vehicles especially used cars, but was happy with the results from Sands Ford.

The salesman did not talk down to me because I was a woman. He was up front and didn't play any games. I had been to another dealership in town, and the salesman was very condescending because my husband wasn't with me. He actually said, "Don't test drive it or fall in love with it until you know you can afford it." REALLY??When I went to Sands, we were treated like royalty. The salesman , knowing that it was to be my vehicle, asked me if I wanted to test drive it first. He was very detail-oriented and apologized for the fact that it needed "a bath" even though we couldn't tell!I loved the chat feature on the website! My dad purchased a brand new car for my graduation. At the time it was likely the most expensive car on their lot. Not including trucks and SUVs.The service was alright for the first year or so. They had a good service manager. Then the good service manager left and they replaced her with a younger female. Cheryl I think.Then I started having issues with a cracked rim, Walmart found the crack. Sands told me not trust Walmart employees and there was nothing wrong with the rim. Even though for the next year and half it consistently let out air. Got a new rim out pocket, tried to show the dealer the rim they kept denying. Had to make an appointment. Wasn't worth it.Then when starting my car the timing chain chattered. Like a diesel. Engine is not a diesel.Had gotten oil changed, top shelf synthetic like always, thinking maybe that would help.Took to sands. Techs could hear the chattering. Service manager said my new oil filter, Fram, was the problem cause it wasn't Ford Branded. Diagnostic fee. So i get the oil changed for the second time in a week. Synthetic oil again. Got the magical ford oil filter too. Still chattering. Diagnostic fee.They conclude the timing chain is making the noise. Diagnostic fee. They fix it under warranty. Also changed my oil for the third time in a week, dumped the quality synthic oil and replaced with their bottom dollar conventional. Wasn't even asked if I wanted synthetic, additional cost or not. Just assumed I suddenly wanted cheap oil.That was the last time I bothered trying with Sands ford. Until today.Still have an extended warranty for coil on plugs,wanted to use it. Was told they will diagnostic fee me, and replace up to 4 of the 8 coils in the first try. If it continues I can schedule another appointment for service and another diagnostic fee. Asked why they won't replace all coils like every owner and information source states so I don't have to come back within the same week. That's how we do it was the response from girl. One visit drawn out into two or three in the name of $.

Everyone was very helpful. we had driven a hour and a half to get there, so we didn't get till dusk so until we looked at the truck test drove it and then making the decision to buy, then all the paper work, Paul Boyer and few others stayed till we left. Paul really wanted to go over everything in the truck but we had to get home, one thing he did for me was program my phone for the bluetooth and showed me how to make and except calls with sync, which made a big difference to me. everything else I was comfortable with. It shut off while we were driving it on a highway. That is very disturbing. This is very upsetting that they will not cover at least the repair.

Jim Rosenberger went out of his way to help us buy our beloved Mustang. We live 2.5 hours away from the dealership. When looking to trade my v6 Mustang on a Gt, I called Sands to inquire about one they had online. Michelle told me the car was available. Drove to the dealership to find that my previous salesman, John, was standing on the porch waiting for me. (I had just bought a new Fiesta from him a couple months before.) He had the day off but came in when he found out I was coming to look at the car. He showed me the car, did the test drive thing, and met every expectation I had with my trade in and pricing. They even let me swap my wheels to the car I was buying. I was adamant about a limit on a monthly payment and I owed more on my old car than it was worth. Larry, the finance manager got me to within the dollar of what I could spend on a monthly payment. He even gave me discounts on the warranty package. Just like my prior visit, my experience with both these guys was a great one. They are more than willing to work with the customer on every level of the sale, and I will be a returning customer, and highly recommend them to anyone looking to be treated like a person when buying a used, or new car.

read all reviews from other buyers, the bad reviews are from inexperienced buyer's, made an appointment went up and went over the car, hooked up the computer to the car read all the output on the motor, everything was spot on, car was tight all around, the 2004 Subaru forester X is in great shape, it also tracks straight down the highway, put 400 miles on the motor oil is still clean, Sands Ford is one of the better dealers i have ever seen in my lifetime, would I recommend friend's to buy from Sands (YES), the salesmen was great person EZ to talk to nice guy.

sands ford of pottsville went above and beyond what was asked of them when every other dealer in three counties shunned me away. i owed alot more on my car than it was worth and i needed a full size pickup. sands told me what i needed to look for and found me a newer low milage silverado z71 for only a little more payments and the same term. i couldnt have found a better truck even without negative equity on my trade. its nice to know you dont need to drive hours for the best deals anymore. thanks sands keep up the good work

Recently purchased a 2013 Dodge Grand Caravan. I dealt with John for the sale, and Larry for the financing.Upon starting the van for the first time, it was sitting for a while so the rotors were rusted like no tomorrow and it took some real effort to get it going. During the test drive, we were told that if that persisted after we bought it (if we did), they would take care of it for us.After some back and forth with the salesmen and running some numbers, you know, the usual, we decide to buy the van. As it turns out, the problem still presented after a trip down to WV. Called the dealer up, and they schedule an appointment with us.Anyway, long story short. It needed new brakes, and I got what the dealership promised. Working with John was a pleasure, Larry was great (the finance guy), and it was an all around good experience. On a side note, it's about the only dealership with a playroom for the kids, and it's fantastic. Would recommend this dealer to others in a heartbeat.

After the hail storm in Reading, Pa my car was totaled... While searching for a new car I found the car I had wanted for a very long time at this lot, and bonus it was in my budget. I had a nice size down payment, and was told I was guaranteed a loan. I put money down to hold the car until I was officially approved for a loan, under the assumption that they would hold the check until I was approved. Day after I out down payment on car, I didn't hear from anyone, later in the evening I had to call to check on the status of the car... Turns out finance guy went home sick.. Day two.. Found out my check was cashed, and I still wasn't approved for a loan... I was told that I couldn't get the car that I wanted, but I needed to get a more expensive car... That I didn't want... Long story short I was promised things and they weren't delivered... My sales guy was nice but talked around a bush.. Felt very taken advantage of... And belittled... In the end I borrowed money from a friend to buy the car and didn't get a loan through them. Grateful to be done with the company.

My son and i bought a jeep wrangler on the way home it had the eath wobble they said it was the tire pressure. I changed the stabilizer and it never happened again. My son drove an hour to get service so they could tell him it was the tire pressure. The stabilizer was a 37.00 part that they would not change for him.

Joe spent literally hours with us, going over all the options available then searching other dealerships until he found one that had everything we wanted. When the car arrived, he met with us and walked through all the features of the car. With all of the electronics, it was a bit confusing, but he explained everything until we felt comfortable that we understood how everything worked. Stopped to check out a used F150 on a Saturday. Spoke with Jim and he was extremely helpful. Showed me the vehicle inside and out and was very helpful. Due to it being late in the day he asked if I could return with my wife and it looked good for me to take home the truck. I came across this dealership because I saw they work with people with bad credit. I have made some mistakes and was living those consequences. My car I had was on its last leg and refused to go to a buy here pay here. I had all intentions that day to go in and buy a used car in good condition. When my mom and I walked in to sands Suzuki We had an appointment with Dayna. She was by far the most friendliest sales person I have ever dealt with. She was friendly, made us feel so comfortable, and she understood what situation I was in and didn't judge me what so ever. After filling out the credit app and talking down payment and monthly payment she then said how about a brand new Suzuki sx4. I nearly fell over because I never thought I would have qualified for a brand new car!! I was completely excited. We took it for a test drive and she knew everything there was to know about the car! Moments later I found out I was approved! It was the best feeling in the world! I told everyone about how friendly Dayna was and how she was able to get me in my car that same day. I would recommend working with her to anyone because she pays attention and cares and was the nicest person I have ever seen at a dealership. She knows a lot about what she is selling and cares for her customers. I would most certainly go back to her without a doubt. I was so appreciative for everything she did for me that day because like I said my credit was spotty and didn't have intentions on a new car because I didn't think I would qualify. She was able to get me a brand new car and I couldn't be anymore thankful for that! My husband and I were left carless after our Murano was totaled. I called Sands and spoke with Amy who was very friendly and personal with me which brought us to the store. We were greeted by everyone who was working at that time and Paul asked to help us. Paul is a wonderful man who really is concerned about getting you something you will enjoy, as well as making the process as easy as he can. He spent the better part of the day with us offering food and drinks as we waited. Along with Paul, Stacy and Ken worked all the magic they could getting us financed with poor credit and getting us a payment we could afford. If it were not for these wonderful people, we would not have a car today. We love our 2011 Mazda and never thought we could be driving something so nice as a result of poor credit! i first dealt with John ?? (manager) he was the rudest cockiest person i ever had to deal with at a car dealer!!! Then i worked with Paul which was a little better, no attitude but a lot of lies and deception! I will never buy there again nor will i ever recommend any of there dealer ships to anyone!!! they sell over priced junk and give nothing on trades, and they have no clue how to treat people! I had explained to him that I was interested in a vehicle I had seen on the website and asked if it was still available and if so could I test drive it. Ken brought it up on the website and it was on the lot in Quakertown. Ken sent Bob Webber & an other gentleman to the other dealership to get this vehicle and bring it to Pottsville so that I could see it and test drive it. The vehicle was awesome, the tset drive was everything I hoped it would be, the price was exactly where I wanted it to be, (having looked at other vehicles elsewhere in the same price range which were older). I am an ecstatic new owner of a 2011 Ford Ecscape loaded with all kinds of goodies. You guys were awesome!

My SUV Broke down with a blown motor, and I needed a vehicle fast. We went to the dealership and found a vehicle fairly quickly. With having no vehicle, a day later when we went to finish the paperwork, the sales team was even kind enough to drive to our house to pick us up, take us to the dealership, so we can drive away in our New (used) vehicle.They also included an amazing warranty for us, so we not only have reliable transportation, but peace at mind. I found a car posted online that I loved, but I lived about 70 miles away. Before I drove the distance, I called and asked if I was able to take the car to my mechanic before my purchase. I expressed I would need it overnight in order for this to happen, and even told the very friendly lady how far away it was. After talking to another person, she told me they would work with me. They even sent me the Carfax through email before I visited. I drove up there to find the car with burn marks in the seats, warped cardboard in the trunk, large dents and scrapes from the front to back, and small rust spots everywhere. Admittedly, it was my fault for not looking at the details in the pictures (lesson learned!). But when I tried to talk them down in price, they'd barely budge, even though the car was in absolutely terrible shape. I was also told I was not able to take it to my mechanic because they couldn't let it go overnight. I reminded them about my previous phone conversation and the salesman simply said, "Yeah, I read the notes." And that was the end of that- still no mechanic allowed. I got the exact same car (down to the year, mileage, body style, make etc) for over $1000 less, in nearly new condition at a dealer half the distance away. The Carfax for that car was also clean. I was also able to take it to my mechanic- overnight, too. Although everyone was mostly friendly, it was a huge disappointment and waste of time and gas.

I would not recommend this dealership, because I had bought a vehicle recently from there and when I test drove it there were issues with the vehicle. They assured me that it would get fixed if I bought the vehicle, so they set up a date for repairs. After being repaired, the vehicle still has one issue that was not completely corrected. When talking to Cheryl Morgan, she told my wife and I that they WILL NOT repair it and she continued to tell us that "Well it is a used vehicle". I spoke to Ken Koscil and he was going to have Vince ????? call me and he never did. Also, the last action taken was an email to Ken Koscil that was sent about 2 weeks ago and I never received a reply. So, thank you to Sands Ford for really screwing me. I wouid probably never go back to there even if the vehicle was good, but I can honestly say that I will never refer anyone to go there.
