Special thanks to Pattie Holthaus for her ability to answer every question of things related to the car and her attitude and unending patience in dealing with us while finalizing the sale. This is our fifth Honda (needless to say, we are pleased with Hondas and the Royal Service Dept.) of which Pattie has sold us four of them. Thus proof, she too is a favorite. Went in to Royal Honda to test drive a Honda Pilot. I was choosing between a Toyota Highlander, which I owned and a Honda Pilot. After reading Honda Pilot reviews, I was skeptical about this vehicle. I was fortunate to have Alton Clivens as my salesman. He was knowledgeable, helpful, a straight shooter when I asked him pros and cons about the Honda Pilot and not pushy at all. Needless to say I purchased a 2016 Honda pilot, it was a great and easy buying experience, I highly recommend Royal Honda and you should request Alton Clivens, really great guy!!

I did my preliminary search of about 10 different dealerships to see the cars/dealerships I liked. I narrowed it down to 3 three. Royal Honda was ultimately the dealership I chose. So why did I choose Royal? Obviously, the car is one of the main reasons. I felt the safety features and amenities on the civic were perfect for my daughter going away to college. Then the Sales Manager Walter Wild worked real hard to get us a great deal. Last but certainly not least Victor Shaffer our sales person was awesome!!!! He took the time to show my daughter all the features the car had to offer and did a great test drive to make sure we were completely comfortable with how it operated. Victor acted like we were his only customer that day even though he had no clue if or when we were going to make a purchase. It turns out they found the colors my daughter wanted so we were able to buy the car that day. So as I am signing the papers to purchase the car Victor show up with a box of long stem roses for my daughter congratulating her on her new car. I have owned many different types of cars some of them higher end vehicles & those dealerships could learn a thing or two from Victor Shaffer & the team at Royal Honda!!!!!! Great Job Guys.

I have been with royal honda for 10 years and until now have been happy. Their customer service is lacking especially the call center. It would be nice if someone actually answered the phone, but all you get is a phone answering system designed to avoid customers. Last Wednesday I dropped of my vehicle to have the passenger side air bag replaced due to the recall. I was told that it would take no longer than a day to fix and because of that, I couldn't get a rental. That's fine, but they weren't able to even get to my car because they were too busy. Too busy to answer the phone, too busy to call me back! After leaving 3 detailed messages, at 5:45 I got a ride to pick up my vehicle , ready or not. After an apology and a promise that my car would be expedited through the "express service", I made another appointment. Like having to come back was somehow going to erase this unpleasant experience from my mind. They told me it would only take 30-35 mins. I said fine. What they didn't tell me was that there would be a line of cars going out onto vets blvd! There were about 13 cars ahead of me... so I left. I probably should have stayed, but I had no confidence that I would be out of there any time soon. I also wondered how many of the cars ahead of me were also "express customers ". Normally when I get poor service, I just go somewhere else. Prior to this experience, I would have only had good things to say about royal honda. All I can say now is...get it together! I have to say - I WAS NOT looking forward to buying/leasing a vehicle. In fact, I brought my 3 grown daughters with me for support and as my armor - lol. But at Royal Honda, the experience couldn't have been any better! Two thumbs up to ALTON CLIVENS, my multi-award winning salesman, and DAVE C. in Finance, who took the sting out of the whole process. They were patient (lots of questions), knowledgeable, kind and pleasant. Kudos!!!! In fact, I think all had an enjoyable experience - if you can relate that to buying/leasing a car! I recently purchased a new Honda Fit 2016 from Royal Honda in Metairie, Louisiana. This is the fourth Honda I have purchased. Therefore, I would have bought a Honda from any dealership. The lagniappe I received throughout my entire experience at Royal Honda was fantastic! If you need a Honda, Royal Honda is the place to go.Since Hondas are such great cars, my only regret is I will not be buying another one from Royal Honda for about ten years. But that is OK because my grandson will be 16 then and we will buy two Hondas!

My wife and I stopped in on a rainy day to let the showers pass. We were greeted by Nat who was extremely courteous. I had shopped for an HRV in my home town, but both of the local dealerships did not measure up to our expectations. Nat helped us get the car we wanted in the trim, and color we desired. All the while keeping the payments within our budget. We could not ask for a better car buying experience.

My wife and I just traded in our 2014 Odyssey Touring Elite for a 2016 Odyssey Touring Elite. The vehicles were identical, just got a newer vehicle with new warranty and a lower monthly note because of the equity on the old one. I had received a letter in the mail informing me of the opportunity to do this and was hesitant about it so I called Scott Usher and talked to him. My wife and I scheduled a meeting with him to discuss the offer. After discussing the pros and cons of the offer, we decided to make the trade especially considering there was an identical Odyssey in their stock. Everyone we dealt with were friendly and accommodating. After switching vehicles and leaving the dealership, we got a call from Scott informing us that we had left some of our belongings in the old vehicle. Since we were still in the area, we drove by and picked them up, otherwise, Scott said he would be happy to drop them off at our home.

We recently purchased new 2016 Honda EXL-V6 at Royal Honda. My experience with Royal Honda of Metairie (and specifically with salesman Alton) was awesome. I highly recommend this place if youre looking for an automobile. He was very low pressure through the process and we didn't feel any of that sales pressure that we worry about when shopping for a vehicle. The negotiations were straight forward and didn't unnecessarily waste our time. My wife and I had many question throughout this process and not ONE time did he have an attitude. We call him throughout the days and each time he answer our question. I feel he went above and beyond by doing this. Also, closing the deal with the Finance Officer was VERY harmless. He was extremely professional and gave us any incentives that was available. I wish them both best of luck for a bright future with Royal Honda of Metairie.

We bought our first new car from Royal in 1980 and their excellent sales staff and service department are still exceptional. Beginning with a greeting from an experienced salesman who wanted to first listen to our needs and leaving that night with our new Accord, was a pleasure. Danny Nunncio is a automobile expert and knows his product line. The finance dept manager was equally friendly and easy to do the paperwork with thoroughly, but quickly. We returned the following week for adding a rear spoiler and the service dept honored our appointment on time, had a shuttle ready to take us wherever we needed to spend a few hours, coordinated with our salesman, who asked us if we had any questions since we had chance to drive the car a few days. The shuttle drivers were friendly and on time. Highly recommend the Royal Honda dealership in Metairie, LA. Not your average car dealership.

I recently purchased a 2016 Honda Pilot from Royal Honda in Metairie. This is the first Honda for me. I was met with friendliness and professionalism at every step of the way. The staff was polite and courteous, beginning with the General Manager, Tony LaRosa. Throughout my 2 visits to the dealership, I was introduced to various staff members, all of whom were cordial and welcoming. My Sales Representative, Patti Holthaus, was thorough and patient in explaining each of the features of the newly-designed Honda Pilot and the process of purchasing this SUV. I have had a phenomenal salesperson -- Carlos Rendon -- each time that I have purchased a car and he has made all the difference to my decision to buy. He is knowledgeable, patient, helpful and now, competent in completing the paperwork necessary for the purchase/lease. In terms of the vehicle itself, I am very impressed by the upgrades each time I purchase. I like every one of the new features. They all contribute to my safety, assist my alertness and above all, the look is awesome and the drive is smooth. I have and will continue to encourage all my friends, even those with a Benz or BMW, to consider Honda for their personal vehicle. It's the only make car I have used over the past 17 years. I have been in sales for 23 plus years and deal with all types of people on a daily basis. Prior to my dealings with Royal Honda, I tried to avoid car dealerships like the plague. There is the old saying; "That person is like a car salesman/salesperson". I can honestly say that - As a sales professional myself, I personally cannot stand to walk into any car dealership due to the fact of being ambushed. As if I was wanted by the law and at any moment, the SWAT Team would be repelling down from the rooftop. There's car dearlerships and then there's "Royal Honda". I am a female and it is usually very hard for me when buying a new car. Sales people never take me seriously and it's always a nightmare when I have to purchase! Scott Usher at Royal Honda not only exceeded all my expectations, he made the process super easy and was very professional through the entire process. The process of test driving the car was great...quite surprised that I didn't have to have a salesperson in the car while I test drove it..I did lots of research on the car i purchased and it met those expectations. The process of actually buying the car was the fastest and most professional I've ever encountered. Pretty much did away with all those bad attitudes of dealing with car salespeople. Yes, I know the dealership makes a profit but I believe I got a fair deal on the price.

I had called for an inquiry on a 2014 Honda Civic and was directed to a sales associate. His name was Alton and he gave me his personal number so that if I had any questions I could just call or text. Well for the next week he and I communicated back and forth through text and he was able to answer any and all questions I had (and I had A LOT of questions). I decided I wanted to test drive the car for myself and the first one I saw, I immediately fell in love. It was a brand new 2014 Civic Ex coupe in red. It had my name written all over it, so we went through all of the necessary paperwork and met a price that we could both agree on. I have to admit that Alton got me the best deal in the city. I couldn't be happier with my new vehicle purchase! I love it and all thanks to Alton and the awesome team at Royal Honda! Oh by the way, I ended up naming my new car Ariel since she's red. I'm very proud of her! :)

We dealt with Alton as our salesperson and the experience couldn't have been any better. Very knowledgeable about the cars, features, and best of all gave us time to discuss and decide. Not once did we feel pressured to make a decision. Financing went smooth and everyone worked with us to get the numbers where we needed them. It was our first time buying from Royal Honda but not our first Honda. I would definitely return when we are ready to buy again and if Alton is still there would work with him again. The pre-owned Hondas at Royal are in notably better condition than any other Honda dealership in the region. The interiors, paint, trim, etc were indistinguishable from new for most of their stock. I just bought a 2011 Accord from Royal and the only flaw I can find (inside and out) is a small stretch mark on the armrest leather. I shopped at all the Honda dealerships in the NO area as well as Covington, Houma, and one in Baton Rouge. Other dealers were asking the same price for vehicles with small dings, chips, cracked leather, etc typical of pre-owned vehicles. One Royal salesman mentioned that Royal is the regional lease turn-in location and that they get to pick the best to keep and resell and they send the rest off to be processed, reconditioned, and sold elsewhere. That said, Royal is very stereotypical in the area of pressuring and haggling for a sale. They definitely play all the sales games of good-salesman/mean-manager, inflated trade-in values, etc. I've had much better experiences on the negotiating end, but Royal wasn't horrible either... just typical. Come prepared.

This was my third new car purchase and it was the best experience thus far. My sales consultant was Mr. Alton C. If he had not told me I would not have known he was new to the position. His knowledge of the product and people skills were great. He made this process go very smooth for me. They did not have the color I wanted so he searched and 1 hour later there she was my 2014 pearl white CRV-EX. The second best thing about my experiance at Royal Honda was meeting Mr. Anthony. The most difficult part of buying a car is the finances. Mr. Anthony mad me smile after doing what he does best. Make those numbers work. I will be back to purchase another car when my son graduates from college. Thank you for a wonderful experiance.

I Bought a new Ridgeline this weekend. I bought it from Scott Usher. Scott and the team at Royal Honda where great. I am a Costco member and we are given a discount, but are told that Superior is the only dealership in the area that will honor your discount. Royal Honda was able to give me a better deal and I was able to buy my new Honda from a dealer closer to my home. This is the 3rd Honda that my family has purchased from Royal Honda and I would recomend them to anyone.

Although my car shopping experience was stressful, Alton and the staff really took the time to figure out what I wanted. However, when I met Alton Clivens, I could not believe how calm, understanding, patient and knowledgable he was. Alton did not make me feel uncomfortable nor did he keep nagging me about anything. He let me explain to him what I wanted, I give him a price and he worked it out for me. I purchased my car almost two weeks ago and there are things that I'm realizing I would like added to my car. For instance, I want my windows tinted so I called Alton and he got in touch with the gentlemen that tints windows, had him call me, and I was able to schedule an appointment. Between my wife and myself, we have purchased and/or leased at least 5 vehicles over the years from Royal Honda. Each visit our dealing have been with Pattie Holthaus and Walter Wild, of which have all been extremely at ease and pleasureable. I have been in sales for 22 plus years and deal with all types of people on a daily basis. Prior to my dealings with Royal Honda, I tried to avoid car dealerships like the plague. There is the old saying; "That person is like a car salesman/salesperson". I can honestly say that - As a sales professional myself, I personally cannot stand to walk into any car dealership due to the fact of being ambushed. As if I was wanted by the law and at any moment, the SWAT Team would be repelling down from the rooftop. There's car dearlerships and then there's "Royal Honda". Thanks Pattie for a great car buying experience!!! No hassle, no fuss, just straight forward closing a good deal on a new Honda Odyssey Touring and trading in my old Odyssey. Everything went so quick from the moment I got there, and when I did not have enough time to wait for the paperwork, Pattie brought the paperwork and vehicle to my home in Luling (35 minutes drive one way). I wasn't expecting to love this car, but I do! Jared and Danny were super helpful and made what seemed to be a stressful process really straightforward and easy. Getting to finance took a while, but it was a Saturday, so I had a feeling it would be a longer process than showing up on a random Tuesday. Of the four other dealerships I visited, I felt by far the most comfortable at Royal Honda, and would recommend this place to anyone!

This is my 4th car at Royal Honda. I shop other places, but always end up at Royal Honda. Carlos R. was my salesman and he is so courteous and has great knowledge about automobiles . I totally understand why Carlos has been named salesman of the month so many times. I was very impressed by the entire buying process. I needed to get in a Odyssey for a family vacation and Felipe helped me online through emails at first then in person at the dealership. I don't like a lot of the back and forth so with Felipe and the finance department, I didn't have to do much besides come in and sign the proper papers.

Bought a used Honda Odyssey from Felipe Pazmino. Worked out the purchase price via email - no muss, no fuss. He was very pleasant and very professional. I felt well taken care of by him and would buy from him again. Think twice about selling your trade-in there. Got a much better offer for my trade-in from Carmax in Baton Rouge and sold it there, used that money for down payment.

My experience at Royal Honda was amazing. I was going through a difficult time in trying to purchase a car. However, when I arrived at Royal Honda, the salesman Alton Clivens greeted me, listened, and helped me with all of my difficulties at that time. He and his manager Mr. Wild, worked with me to give me a good deal on my car. They even delivered my car to me at my job the next day. I was truly blown away by the service of all of the people there. Although I have my car now, Alton and Mr. Wild made me feel so comfortable to the point where I know I can go back at anytime if I need any additional help or knowledge about my car. He ensured I got all of the paperwork I needed accurately and quickly. When the shipping company I hired made an error on the pick-up date Jared went above and beyond what anyone could expect to help us get the car quickly and safely. My experience and the customer service was outstanding. Chad Lewis greeted my and my husband with a smile. He was very knowledgable about Hondas cars. He was professional and courteous. I've been to other dealerships however I NEVER received such good service. He answered all of my questions and he did rush my decision. He was patient. Thats rare for car salesman but I was impressed. I'm not sure about anyone else who works at Superior but I hope they are as professional and knowledgable as Chad Lewis. Jared helped me for my recent purchase of my daughter's car and previously for my sons car. He really understands that my time is valuable so didn't make me come sit around doing a waiting game like most dealers. He provided me his price by email and we came to an agreement on which car I wanted by email so all I had to do was come in and sign paperwork. Other dealers wanted me to come in and test drive. I went into the Royal looking for a specific used Kia that I had been eyeing. I spoke with Jarred and could not have been happier. I saw/test drove said car, did my tarde in and fiancing and was out the door in no time. In all honesty, it took longer to get the free tank of gas than to buy the car it seemed. I laid down what I wanted to do and they followed through. I am very appreciative to Jarred and everyone I dealt with at Royal and would gladly recommend them to my friends and family. The circumstance of my experience are definitely unique, I bought an 03 Toyota Mr2 Spyder from their used car sales, I live 8 hours away from this dealership in Texas and not only did they conduct business with me over the phone they even worked with me on the price, drove to Louisiana and left with the car within an hour or so, the car was exactly as described, the financing was incredibly fair and everyone in my experience was kind and professional, upon leaving they even gave my mother flowers for coming all this way, it was a good experience buying a used car, I'm sure buying a new would be even better, my only negative to the ordeal was after driving maybe 20 miles the check engine light came on, luckily my buddy had a scanner and it was only an 02 sensor, its not everyday you can get a clean one owner carfax sports car with only 62k miles for barely over $10k!

We went in for a test drive and asked about price. Victor took us to the test drive and it was ok. However, when we sit down to talk about the price and everything, it was just not pleasant. He had the attitude that made us feel he rather chatted with other sales men other than us. When we showed that we didn't like the price, he showed he was unhappy and just stood up, said bye, and tore the paper; very rude. It might be a trick to let a potential buyer think they miss a good price, but it was just very rude and it didn't work for us. There are other Honda dealers and competitors in the area; you are not the king. Will never deal with this sales.

Here's the deal. You better watch out if you ever think about going to this dealership. They list their cars with very nice pictures and make you very interested in their cars. However, when you get their, you will realize that the pictures are just to attract you to stop by and check the car(s) out. When you get there, the dealer will stick on you like a glued piece. He won't let you leave until you purchase something. If you end up buying from them, inspect the car before paying anything, because they will show you the carfax which basically have all the nice things and they likely will lie to you and tell you that the previous owner took car of the car and took to a certified dealership bluh bluh bluh and you know the remaining. If you plan on trading your car, do NOT go to them before checking Kelly Blue Book. They will offer you 50% of what your car really worth. If you decide to buy from them (which I highly do not recommend), get everything they say in writing before writing paying anything. Otherwise, they will promise you every nice possible thing, and then they will just deny saying that to you (when you need). My recommendation: STAY AWAY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP!
