Stay far away

do not go to this dealership. I was recommend by a friend and it took almost 3 weeks for the paperwork to be signed. I took my jeep home on July 1 and did not sign the paperwork for it until the 24th. They told me every week that they were "finalizing" the deal even after i had complained that the temporary plate was going to expire and the paperwork needed to be done. Then afterword it took a full month for the dealership to put in my registration and plates, which caused me to drive around with expired temps for well over a month. Finally the icing on the cake was they never paid the 1st payment on the jeep like they said they would in the contract which has caused me to be a month behind on my payments and charged a 10 dollar late fee every month. No one has called me back from the management office and they continue to give me the run around. Also i am over paying out the A$$. Oh i am a woman and every male in the dealership stares you down as you walk in like you're a piece of meat they can squeeze money out of.

Being from New York I did a lot of online searching for a new car, I wanted to get a great deal and still get everything that I wanted. I found Route 46, I went out and got the pleasure of meeting the Beautiful Maria Grantham. Not only did she show me what I came to look at she gave me options. There were no surprises and they did everything they could to make sure we left Happy. This was my FIRST car purchase and it was as smooth as butter. Mini Van Purchase

My overall experience was pretty good. I knew what I wanted to purchase and was ready to buy. I advised Maria that I was in a pretty big rush and needed to take care of most of the paperwork ahead of time. She did do this for me which was nice. I then waited for over an hour to meet with the finance guy to finalize my purchase, once I met with him everything was pretty quick.The only complaint I have is that I purchased a "certified" car but my tires seem bald and I continue to skid out whenever pulling out from a stop sign. I will address this issue when I pick up my license plates. Another note is, though I appreciate a thank you call, I have been called almost every other day from the dealership asking about how I feel about their service ... it's a little excessive.

I was having problems with my car recently and was thinking of trading it in, but was unsure of how much I could get for it and what I wanted. I saw a man that resembled a bear and he was rapidly approaching, with a big smile on his face and a hand out he greeted me and my Gf. I wasn't really shopping for a new car. I went with my son, just to browse. The WORST customer service EVER! HIGHLY UNPROFESSIONAL!!!

If you want to be lied to and treated like crap, you should definitely go there. Their slogan of 100% customer satisfaction is nothing but a marketing move. I leased my car there in August, I made a deal late at night and was told by sales man that I had to take the car the same night. The car had a small scratch on passenger side, so salesman assured me that it will be taken care of when I come back to have the car detailed at my earliest convenience. I called back the salesman a few days later to arrange for detailing the car. It took me 2 weeks to get in touch of the salesman and arrange for the detailing and scratch removal. I arranged to come in at night and wait for the work to be done. I waited for over 4 hours, even though the salesman told me that it would take about an hour. After waiting for 4 hours, my car was brought back to me with the scratch still there and NOT detailed. The floor mats were dirty dash board filthy, they just washed the exterior and put some tire shine on. I was mad to say the least. I told the salesman that this will not do, he told me that it was too late in the day to do anything and that I would have to come back during the week to have everything done right. I told him I couldn't - I work for a living and he would have to provide me with the loaner. We got a manager, and manager told me to call him back and arrange for a loaner and I agreed. Next day I called the manager and arranged for a loaner and to drop my car off at night and pick it up next day around 6. I came to the dealership at the arranged time to drop off my car - it took about 1 hour to do this - which is ridiculous. The next day I got a call from the dealership informing me that the car would not be ready that day, and that they will call me the next day to let me know when the car is ready - I agreed. The next day I got a call to come pick up my car. I arrived to the dealership around 6pm to pick up my car, I went to front desk and was told that my car is ready and it's in the back. I took the key and went to the back to get my car. I thought it was a bit strange that my car's windows were open, because it was raining that night, but I didn't think anything of it. There were still plastic coverings on the seats and paper on the floor mats. A service man was walking by, I don't recall his name (unfortunately), and told me that there should be no coverings on the seats and on the floor, and he offered to take them out for me. I thanked him, he took them out and I saw that the floor mats were dirty and untouched. I asked him how come the floors are dirty and that the car was supposed to be detailed. He told me that he didn't know anything about it and if I wanted to, I could go in the back and use the vacuums to clean the floors. I told him that I'm not going to do that - the car was there for 2 days and there was no reason for this not to be done, and I it was late and I did not have the time to do this. I got in the car and drove off. I closed the windows and was half way to my home and noticed a bad smell in my car. It was very strong and that was when I realized why the windows were open. Now, I brought the car in with a new car smell and picked it up with a horrible "BO" - at this point I am furious! I have not time right now to deal with this, so over the weekend I decided to investigate the smell. It seems someone sprayed something in the cargo area, where the spare tire is. The reason I know this, is because when I took out the fabric lining under the spare, the spare and the cover that goes on top of the spare tire - the car doesn't smell. I kept all of the content of the trunk outside for about 1 week, sprayed everything with Lysol spray, Fabreeze and finally the smell of xxx, for lack of better words is all gone and I can finally put everything back inside the car and not worry about the smell.I don't exactly understand what "you" mean by valued customer, or the slogan at the dealership means when it states that 100% customer satisfaction is guaranteed, but I am far from being satisfied or feel like a valued customer. Never in my life have I encountered such unprofessional treatment of their customers. My whole buying experience of Jeep have left a "very bad taste in my mouth", it almost makes me regret I purchased a Jeep.HIGHLY UNPROFESSIONAL!!!

Best first time new car buying experience ever!

I was in there to get my first brand new car. I sat down with John Sweeney, great guy to deal with. We went over everything from what I was looking for and what my options are as far as getting what I needed. I'm currently working on my credit as it isn't the best at the moment (thanks student loans), so I wasn't expecting to get into a SRT Challenger that's for sure. I was also not looking for anything special with all the bells and whistle either. John gave me vehicles to look at and then working on the numbers once I chose the car. I decided on the Grand Cherokee with as little bells and whistles possible. John took it a step further and we looked at multiple trim levels and possible options I can get for the price range I'm looking to stay at. We ended up on the 2016 Grand Cherokee 75th Anniversary Edition (which is beautiful with more options that I will ever need). John made sure that I got the best bang for my buck. All I had to work with was a down payment and hope. Majority of the wait that day was John working to get me the best rate so that my payments wouldn't be to the roof. Finally, the next thing I know, he hands me the keys and told me to play around with the bells and whistles on the car. Little did I know, while we were waiting, he had the car cleaned up for me to drive out of there. The confidence he had that I was gonna be driving it home was reassuring and made my first time car buying experience fantastic. I highly recommend coming here and speaking to John Sweeney and the rest of the crew. They will work with you and try to get you the best bang for your buck and into a great vehicle.

Read the Yelp Reviews (these are clearly fake)

They wasted 3 hours of my life last night. They put the "absolute lowest possible cost" on their website which only applies if you are trading in a car that you previously purchased from them. They then advertise that price on third-party websites that do not have any sort of indication that this is not representative of the price they are charging. I brought the print-out from Kelley-Blue Book with me, handed it to the sales rep (Justin) who never mentioned the price increase despite knowing I was not trading in a car. When I asked his manager how they could justify their pricing tactics, I was told "if we could advertise it even lower and sell it higher, we would," as if that was some justification for their bait and switch tactics. All in all, they tried to get me to pay $25,800 for a car they had listed on their website at $18,800. I wish I had read the reviews on Yelp prior to traveling to NJ to see this car. The reviews on their website are obviously misrepresentative of their actual level of customer service.

Like a school yard

I have purchased from route 46 before and have been nothing but happy with their sales and service department. However I went there recently and the place is not the same, there are nothing but kids running around pretending to be sales staff, they have 0 product knowledge and it seems like a school yard. I didn't feel comfortable basing 1 of my larger investment on a bunch of kids. The staff just seems to continually rotate and there are new faces there every time I go in. Don't think I will be going back.

Me and my family have purchased over 10 cars over the past 3-4 years and it is because I find RJ to be the best at his work and wants to help find the best deal for us. The service center on the other hand needs a lot of help, not so much the agents but more the techs that work on the car. I had been looking for a jeep for a few weeks. I had popped in to check inventory numerous times and no one pressured me at all! When I decided to talk to a sales man I was referred to Alex by a friend. Alex was very nice, he did not talk cocky and he was not pushy. He took time to explain all the differences between the Sahara's on the lot helping me to know what I wanted. He grabbed the keys and got me behind the wheels off the two I liked, he showed and explained to me everything inside and out of the cars. Needless to say I fell in love with the blue jeep. What an absolutely wonderful experience..From walking into the dealership.. and getting greeted by the receptionist , to driving off the lot with my brand new Jeep Renegade! Exactly what I was looking for

A neighbor told me to go here so I called ahead to see if they had what I was looking for in stock and they did, first of all. Not many dealerships had the truck I was looking for. I was introduced to Jr. Villlanueva upon my arrival and he took me straight to the truck I was looking for. JR listened to everything I was talking about and did not once try to push a sale. That alone impressed me. He then worked out a small discount for my involvement as a first responder. The finance department worked tirelessly to find me the right deal and I drove the truck home that night. I normally don't buy through dealerships because of past experiences but JR did a great job in restoring my faith in at least this dealership.Great service, financing, warranty and variety of vehicles.

Great & pleasant experience

I've gotten 3 Nissans in the past from Route 46 Nissan, it was worth the drive from Staten Island which is where I was living at the time. Switched to Mercedes Benz for 4.5 years and now it was time for a Jeep, so I went back to 46. Had a great experience at Route 46 Jeep for a great price. I am currently now living on Long Island which is a hike, and it was worth it.

Horrendous experience!

I will NEVER purchase another vehicle from this dealership again. They have owed us $8100 for nearly two months now and simply refuse to pay it (even though we have a contractual agreement stating it is owed to use). We have been given the COMPLETE runaround and are in the process of taking legal action as a result of their not honoring their end of our legally binding lease agreement. Backstory: We got into a new lease on August 6th. My husband and I paid the necessary fees, signed all the necessary documents, agreed to the negotiated terms (one of which was the dealership would issue a check in the amount of $8100 for our current vehicle), and were told we would receive a call within 2 weeks to come and pick-up our new plates. We left the dealership that same evening, with the new vehicle, and under the impression it was a done deal. Therein lies Mistake #1: we made the assumption they had handled any of our deal properly.Over three weeks later, on August 30th, I received a notification that I had been approved for a new vehicle lease. Yep, over three weeks later, we received the formal confirmation that we were now beginning our new lease...that we thought we had already been in for nearly a month! I immediately called the dealership requesting clarification on all of this and was promptly told "we had some issues with the original bank we were working with and had to go with another one...don't worry, all the terms will remain the same and nothing has changed with your monthly payment". Again, I thought they knew what they were doing so I let it go and assumed all was well and we would be expecting our $8100 check in the next day or so. This would be where we made Mistake #2: believing anything they told us.Oh, and during this time, our temp plates expired and when I inquired on the whereabouts of our permanent plates, we were told "they should be in soon...if you get a pulled over/a ticket, don't worry, just bring it to us and we will pay it". To add insult to injury, we were given absolutely NO information on the lease holder, the account details, where to go/who to contact to make a payment, etc. I had to call Chrysler Capital directly (I had the bank name as it was included in the notification we received once it hit my credit report) and spend far too much time on trying to get this info as the dealership was utterly useless and could not have been less helpful. Every time I called the dealership, I was promised I would receive a call back and they never did.Now, here we are nearly TWO MONTHS later and we have still not received the $8100 check, we have made THREE car payments (two for our first vehicle...you know, the one that was supposed to have been paid off in full with the check that is still owed to us) and now the second payment on the newly-leased vehicle. They do not return calls, they don't have definitive answers on where our money is, and they continually direct us to other people rather than making any effort to get this resolved once and for all.All I can hope for at this point, is that our attorney has better luck at getting answers than we have for the last two months. The entire situation has been an absolute nightmare from start to finish and I wish we had never gone here to begin with.

JR provided me with the support I needed, and when in doubt he broke things out for me so I could see the big picture. Now I'm a happy owner of a Chevy Silverado yeah baby!!! I came into the dealership looking for a car for my wife as hers wasn't in the best shape and I wanted to surprise her for our anniversary. I was greeted by Bryan who was a great help in the whole process, the biggest thing for me was working within our budget as well as getting a car that my wife would love. The process went extremely smooth and He was able to get me into a Jeep Grand Cherokee that my wife always wanted for a great price. Terrible!

One star only because I can't register "zero" stars. You must avoid this dealership at all costs! They are crooks in every sense of the word. First, their internet advertising is clearly false advertising. They will post a price that looks attractive and then in fine print you will see that their price includes a loyal customer $2,000 discount. Beyond that, they run a scam of negotiating with you and then at the time you're ready to sign on the dotted line, they throw in a $1,000 "transfer fee" and nearly $500 in other fees apart from the normal fees for getting the plates and registering your car. I confirmed at least 4 times by phone and in person that I would not accept any "transfer fee" at the time of the purchase. They still put in on the invoice. Crooks, everyone one of them. I have purchased many cars in my lifetime, and this was, by far, the worst experience I've ever had. This dealership is the poster child for everything wrong with trying to purchase a vehicle. DO NOT GO THERE!

Scammers

Do not recommend this dealership. After creating a deal and returning a lease, I was told the alleged "one" payment I had left would be made. One month later I find out I was lied to,my previous lease was never looked in to, took my car based on "good word" (which no business, NO BUSINESS, would ever do let alone a car dealership) and they just cut me a check for one payment. I come to find out I had FOUR payments left and this dealership is now refusing to pay saying (oh you just told us you had one, so we "believed" you) They chose to clean their hands of the situation and tell me I got a "good deal" on the new car. Worst dealership in the tri state. They will never see me or another dollar from me

I was driving cars in the lot maybe 20 min into being there. After looking at different models of cars my salesman Mike Solomon and I got down to brass tax. I told Mike what I wanted and my price point. Mike worked very hard to get me to that price point and to keep all the extras I wanted in my vehicle. After some back and forth negotiating which is to be expected, we came to a fair deal. Mike was very helpful and friendly during the whole process and made the whole car buying process friendly and easy. I would recommend Route 46 Chrysler Jeep and Dodge to anyone looking to buy a new car, they are friendly and willing to work with you to fit you into the right vehicle.

Terrible last 6 months.

This place only cares about you when you are not yet their customer. Once they make you their customer they don't care about you at all. So far I was given a warranty that no one told me started 90 DAYS after purchasing the vehicle so I had to pay nearly $200 out of pocket TWICE now for something I was told was covered. Any time you go in with a problem no matter how nice you are they shrug you off and make you some one else's problem. For example before leaving for vacation almost two weeks ago my boyfriend and I took my car over. We asked if it was possible for me to leave my car with them to get a new tire (there was a bubble on it) and my sunroof fixed because it came out of alignment. They said "Absolutely!" I told them about my warranty, they looked it up and said I was completely covered. I also asked if I would be able to pick it up on Memorial Day when I came home considering I had work the next day. They said "No problem!" After a 14 hour drive home yesterday I walk in to the dealer ship to get told by the floor manager "Sorry. Not my problem." In front of a bunch of salesmen. I felt COMPLETELY embarrassed. Every one except one woman made me feel crazy, when I was told everything would be fine and to not worry. Then I was told if I want MY car back I have to pay them and they would refund me the money tomorrow. SURPRISE! Went in today for the refund and got "Sorry I never checked to see if you had the warranty, totally my fault, you'll get your money back in a week" Oh, so who is going to help me pay my bills this week Route 46 Chrysler Jeep Dodge? I have yet to have ONE good experience there and with my family owning a company if employees EVER made a customer feel the way the sales manager made me feel last night they would get ripped apart but again.. customers don't actually matter to this place.

Do not recommend customer satisfaction is not their #1 prior

In July my lease was up on my Jeep so I decided to get into a 16 challenger. Salesperson was very good since I've only done business with him in the past. However, upon picking up my vehicle I found a blemish on the hood and immediately brought it to his attention, was told it will come out after washing. Two to three weeks later I get it washed and found that blemish along with multiple other ones throughout the vehicle looked as if they are rusting. I then brought the car back atleast 4 times and was more than compliant with their demands, as much as I didn't want to. Pictures were taken to send to chrysler and was denied any repairs (I didn't want my brand new vehicle to get painted and returned back to me). So then another visit was arranged for another body shop to look at it, which they got some of it out. I was then returned the vehicle with two new scratches on my vehicle. I personally ally do not feel it is fair toenough as a returning customer to be treated the way I have been, I think I should receive a replacement vehicle at this point. Throughout this process I've tried contacting the president/VP but only to get handed to the gm whome told me I would not get a painted car back. With the new scratches on the car the vehicle has to get painted and the spots on the vehicle (looks as if clear coat is bubbling) are present. Chrysler, the gm, and the service managers are all involved in this ordeal I am having and yet after being compliant still am paying for a vehicle I cannot enjoy.CUSTOMER SATISFACTION IS NOT THEIR #1 PRIORITY!!!!

Great 1st time Experience!

Honesty is what Marvin Belton is about. This is what I look for in a dealership and he made my experience awesome and ease to get the deal done. He wants the best deal for his customer. Route 46 Chrysler Jeep Dodge was great to visit and I purchased a used vehicle with great service on my first time visit and 1st dealer that day to price out vehicles.

Knowledgeable and friendly staff

I had a fantastic experience with my sales person Edgar. He was very friendly, knowledgeable and didn't keep us in the showroom all day (which is what I have experienced in other dealerships). Everyone including Sales Managers were personable and friendly. I believe I got an amazing deal on my new Jeep and I will definitely recommend my friends and family to this Edgar.

Happy with Jeep Cherokee Lease, but customer service lacking

Edgar was helpful and got us a Jeep Cherokee lease for the price wanted. The only downside was the waiting time to sign the lease deal. We had an appointment for 6:30 and waited for two and a half hours before we signed. We could have been given the heads up beforehand about the long wait. One did not expect to stay there beyond closing time.

Went to this dealership because my brother highly recommend it to me. I had no idea as to what type of vehicle I was looking for or how much it would cost me, just that I needed a car. This my second time here at route 46 Chrysler Dodge Jeep. My first car I purchase a Toyota Scion TC and I absolutely love it, 2 Years later I wanted something new and decided to trade it in. Best Dealership Around

This was my first experience buying by my first car in my name. I cannot express how great Ricardo M was. He took care of my and my boyfriend after we had just came from another dealership very disappointed. Ricardo and the finance manager helped us get into my 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee in no time and had us out the door ASAP. Amazing experience

I got a great deal from Joe Wright on a Dodge Durango he was so helpul and kind didnt pressure us into buying (me and my husband hate that) typically we dont have the best experiences when buying cars Joe made it fun fast and easy would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for a car!
