Great costomer service. They treat you very kindly, and they show you what's wrong with your vehicle and give you options on how to fix it. Great appliances, very nice waiting room with a free water bottle.

On 6/10/2013 I bought a 2001 Tacoma from Campbell Toyota. The purchase was preceded with extensive conversation with the Sales Manager regarding the vehicle's condition and Campbell's business practices. Based on his favorable responses I decided to buy the vehicle. The following week my wife and I traveled to Hermiston to get the vehicle. I could not travel alone so we trailered the vehicle back to Washington a 500+ mile trip. I am a disabled veteran with significant limitations Campbell was advised of this prior to my arrival. My physical condition combined with the distance traveled prompted the extensive questioning and my reliance on the Sales Managers representations in my buy decision. Before unloading it we discovered significant items that were misrepresented. After buying the vehicle Les Schwab documents were put in the glove box documenting unresolved safety defects (this may have been an act of a concerned employee). Numerous calls were made to Campbell and every time I was hung up on or ignored. After not receiving a response from Campbell I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau (BBB). Months passed without response from Campbell to the BBBs numerous inquiries. Approximately 3-4 months later the owner of Campbell responded to the BBB with, sale was legal under Oregon law, please close case. Campbell's owner did not deny his staff made significant deliberate misrepresentations nor did the Campbell owner disagree with any facts of the case as I presented them in the BBB complaint documents. The owner of Campbell Toyota did not deny allegations of employee misrepresentations, but instead relied on the sale being legal under Oregon law. All of this is available for review on the BBB website under Campbell Toyota. Sometime after I filed the BBB complaint the owner did leave a partial message on my home phone indicating that the sale was legal under Oregon law and that would not change with further conversation. At my last viewing of the BBB website there were additional complaints listed for Campbell Toyota.I sent a complaint to Toyota headquarters in Torrance California. In January I was contacted by a member of the Toyota Corporation Executive Committee. After a short but cordial conversation I was told the sale of used cars is a matter to take up with the dealer, however, the complaint would be passed on to the Regional Sales Staff for their action, as dealerships are totally independent of Toyota Motor Corporation, despite franchise agreements outlining requirements to do business with the public in a fair and honest manner. Now it is four plus months later and there has been no follow up from the Regional Sales Staff or anyone else from Toyota. I spent a lot of time and roughly $3500 fixing items on the truck that were certified by Campbell Toyota Sales Manager & personnel as being in good safe condition before it was ever driven. The vehicle as sold to me was not safe to drive Campbell knew this as they had in their possession Les Schwab documents showing unsafe and unrepaired conditions. During our preliminary phone conversation the Sales Manager was asked about the items which were included on the Les Schwab document. These items were misrepresented by the Sales Manager as being in good usable condition. The Les Schwab document showed unsafe and uncorrected conditions AND these documents were in Campbell Toyotas possession. The bulk of the repair expense was a direct result of the misrepresentations made by Campbell Toyota sales staff. The used vehicle inspection process and results as described to me by the Sales Manager was also misrepresented in a very very significant manner. I have owned Toyotas for over 40 years and until this purchase I have never been deliberately lied to by Toyota personnel. Prior to this event I have never received less than fair honest dealings from Toyota dealers and their personnel across the USA and overseas!! My reliance on the Sales Manager's representations was based on past dealings with Toyota personnel being people of integrity. Over the hundreds of transactions I have had with probably 25-30+ dealers, customer service and customer satisfaction has been a Toyota business priority. The owner of Campbell Toyota is relying on the sale being legal, and does not appear to be concerned with ethical, honest, and fair dealings. To date, no remedies have been offered. Had there been honest responses to direct questions I would not have traveled 500+ miles and bought this vehicle.Regarding my transaction - legality has trumped ethical honest fair dealings. The BBB case file corroborates the summary above. I have tried to fairly present the facts and results pertaining to this transaction.
