The free oil changes sound good until you sit around for 3 hours for something that should be done in 30 minutes. When you complain, the service manager Maxsut is rude, and the main manager Simon, tells you to be grateful they are changing your oil for free. When you remind them that's part of why you overpaid for the car, Simon tells you that your remark is "inappropriate". Don't take this treatment; shop someplace where u r treated with honesty and courtesy.

I went to the Rockaway Nissan they will give you a price on a car but they as for cash on the side plus your trade in that area making money of people plus you have to pay the bank all that money back they thought I was stupid to give them my car plus extra money u better watch what you buy and how much you pay do your homework before you buy from them

The purchasing of my 2014 Certified preowned Nissan Juke SV was a nightmare.I traveled 200 miles. I had a confirmed VIP appointment which means nothing my car was not ready for a test drive it was 3 cars deep in showroom. So the waiting began. The show room was very loud the sales person Dan was told several times to speak up. Dan did not show me relative items when purchasing a new car for example how to start, sunroof, engine, gas cap etc. We(my daughter was with me) waited for hours with no updates or any attention at all (were offered coffee/water at one point after one of those hours). I received only one smart remote(needed to lock unlock and start car). No owners manual (had to ask) so was provided one for a 2015 Juke.I did extensive research for this car and it was exactly what I was looking for.The worse part of the experience was that the information I received from Simon sales manager did NOT match the CARS.COM ad that I printed out and had with me. I believe by doing so saved me in more was the one.


Worst lease experience ever

We wanted to lease a Nissan Sentra and had gotten a quote from a leasing company. Since we live in the neighborhood we figured it would be better to lease from the dealership as long as they could match the price. The initial offer after the test drive was $100 higher/month than the quote from the leasing company so we thanked them and wanted to leave. Since the salesperson wanted to make the deal happen she kept on talking to us and to her supervisor and after much back and forth matched the price. This was about 2 hours into it and then we had to wait for a different staff member to go over the car with us. Then we had to wait for yet another staff member to prepare the paperwork for us to sign. Since it was the weekend our car insurance could not be reached. After 4 hours we couldn't stand it any longer and told them that we would sign the paperwork the next day since we had to come back anyway due to the insurance issue. At that point they miraculously had the paperwork ready for us to sign. Once we took care of the insurance coverage we had to spend again a good portion of the day at the dealership before we could get our car since the license plates had not been put on yet. So we spend over 6 hours instead of the usual 15-30 minutes that it takes when we get cars from a leasing company. I don't know whether all dealerships are this awful but I definitely will never again lease from one!

I'm writing this in real time. It is 12:40 pm I arrived 830am for an 815am appt for an oil change. I thought it was because I came on Saturdays for the oil changes that there was a long wait. But this is crazy! I took 1/2 personal day for this service and now it will turn into a day.I will be going to a jiffy lube or Pep boys for now along. It's not free when it costs you time....

Horrendous business. This dealership does both sales and service, they are terrible at both. I attempted three times to have them look at a 2011 Altima for the transmission. The first time I was turned away at 3pm, I get it. Upon their advice I came back the following week at 9am .. Still turned away. So forget the transmission , I'll fix it when I feel there's a serious issue. They have a huge sign welcoming all nissans for a free oil change. It's been there for years and now that I own a Nissan I wanted to take advantage.I made an appointment for 1pm , got there 1145am and I felt at 345pm WITH NOTHING DONE. My car was moved from one spot to another , that's it. Professional time wasters. Secondly , the staff is very dry and unfriendly. The check in process is not smooth and professionalism is very low. They ACT professional but they are professional at everything but honesty and integrity. From trying to get my car seen by someone , I wouldn't purchase a thing here. With that said , in the same day I also invited a friend along to see if he wanted to get a Nissan. The car was over priced. I showed my friend and the dealer that the car is showing maximum $12,000 but the guy , Wayne presented us with $18000 as the list price. I can tell he also knew it was bs even though he tried to hold his own. That's a huge problem. Professional liars. I would never come back here for service unless I have to and definitely not for a sale. They already took at least 8 hours of my time on those three visits. When you call them they say they are the biggest Nissan in the world or something of the sort. Eventually word will catch up and they will have to close down this dealership due to poor business practices.

These people are by far the most dishonest human beings I've ever had the displeasure of dealing with! Last year i went in for some trasmission problems.. after waiting over 5 hrs, i was told that they had fixed my car and that all my car needed was a "system update". As soon as i drove off, MY CAR BROKE DOWN!!! They did eventually fix it after I went back and had a few words with the manager. I've avoided going back ever since... until recently. I was told that they were under new management and they had new people working there so I decided to give it another shot. After being told that my car needed some work coasting over $600, I took my car over to my local mechanic where they looked at my car and determined that I needed no work at all!!! NONE!!! I would absolutely NOT recommend this dealership /service center to anyone. They are all a bunch of scam artists. They have a horrible reputation for ripping people off. Thwy tried to stiff me for over $600 and they would do the same to you. DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE!!!!! ****To add insult to injury**** The following morning my car wouldn't start. When I looked under my hood I noticed that the battery had been swapped out for an old ratty one.****

They not only got my the truck I was searching for all over but they got it earlier than promised. Don't be trick when buying a new vehicle about the lifetime oil change. It's a nightmare. I bought a new rogue 3 months ago and the said the oil change would take like 20 mins or so. I had an appiontment was there like 2 hours waiting and still couldn't get it done . Had to leave. Ask one of the guy if the could give me the oil and filter to do it my self he said ' they could sell it to me ' .

I was stranded at the gas station across the street with a flat tire during a winter storm. While waiting for a tow (3 hour wait) a rep (Ryan) asked if I was ok. I told him about my day and he walked away. Came back a few minutes later and offered to drive my car across the street to place the spare tire on. Ryan, Mac and Armit were great. Made me comfortable. Made me feel right at home. Kudos to Rockaway Nissan and big shoutout to Ryan, Mac and Armit. They didn't even charge me or accept a tip! Humanity is still alive!!!

I brought my Maxima into Rockaway Nissan with the Check Engine light on. I had tried all the basics: oil change, etc., but couldn't find out what was causing it. The team at Rockaway Nissan took a look, and said all it was was a glitch in the car's computer, a very reasonably priced repair. Other mechanics might have seen that as an opportunity to sell me unnecessary repairs, but the team was honest and helped me get back on the road. Thanks!

Rockaway Nissan was by far a more professional and well-run operation then other service center I had been using. I started bringing my car here after using a different Nissan center for a few years & they were far more organized. They always took me on time and never made me wait too long for service. Also the ladies at the front desk were always very polite and informative if there was ever an issue with my car. I was very happy I made the switch to Rockaway Nissan and recommend doing the same.

I have definitely had my fair share of tough experiences at car dealers over the years trying to get my car serviced. Well I finally had a great one! I was greeted by a service person who took the time to explain what they were doing an more importantly exactly how much it would cost. The best part was when they said "about an hour" it was actually an hour. That was by far the best part! I will definitely be returning!

In the past 6 months, I have had many experiences with Car dealerships and they have all been a major letdown. I didn't have much more hope when I walked into Rockaway Nissan - I was pleasantly surprised. Herbie Santos - our salesman, to Anton (his manager) were honest, respectable and extremely helpful. I have been telling all my friends and family to stop in there, even if Nissan isn't the car they are looking for. This will be my car place going forward.
