Second Time Around Avalon.

This is my second new Avalon in 11 years..By far my favorite car. Thanks Toyota for such an awesome ride.. I want to personally thank my new friend DANIEL DEW, my sales representative for all that he did for me during this car buying experience. He "IS" the best salesperson I've ever dealt with. I just moved to Columbus, GA and was in need for a good reliable car in a very small time frame. I went to river town Toyota and talked to Ms.vonda explaining her my needs and requirements. This was going to be my first car purchase and I wasn't sure what I wanted. She was extremely patient with me throughout the whole process because I went back and forth with couple of cars. I was set on a civic or a Ford focus but she recommended me a camry and I listened to her. I left the dealership with a white camry and I LOVE it. She went out of her way to help me with title and such because I had no address and was still living in a hotel. If you are in the market for a new car, I would go to River town toyota and ask for her. Tell her want you need and she will do the rest.

My honey and I went to buy a vehicle at Mazda. We were looking at a Madza 6, Vonda saw us outside and asked did we need help. We not knowing that Vonda is a sales person for Toyota Used lot. WE BOUGHT OUR CAR FROM VONDA!!!

We came to Rivertown to make a car purchase for my daughter. My son in law just came home from being deployed and he wanted to surprise our daughter with a new vehicle. We looked at several vehicles and we wanted to stay around $10,000.00 however Vonda got us all inside and explained the Limited Lifetime Powertrain Protection Program to us. When she stated, "This is a complimentary GIFT given to our customers who purchases a qualifying 2007 or higher under 100,000 miles" we knew that we needed to find a vehicle that would give us that extra protection. Our son in law found a Chevy Impala and we went on a test drive. WE FOUND THE RIGHT CAR FOR BRITTANY!!! :-) My son in law stated to Vonda that he wanted this car to be a Valentine's Day Gift. At that time Vonda went to work. We had less than 20 mins. before Brittany would get to Rivertown to see what her husband wanted with her. Vonda went out to the car, put a pretty red bow on it, alone with balloons and wrote, "HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY BRITTANY" on the back window of the car. All this happened just in time. BRITTANY arrived at the dealership and was escorted to a vehicle that she thought her husband was going to buy her. She didn't like that one. LOL He then walked her over to her NEW BRIGHT RED Impala and it was all tears from there. My husband and I worked with Mackinley McCray to buy our new Toyota Camry, and he truly was the best salesperson we have ever had when buying a vehicle. He is laid back, calm, kind, and did not pressure us whatsoever. I recently bought a 2015 Tundra. Daniel Dew was my salesman and I have nothing but good things to say about Daniel. After my SUV being totaled, I came to Rivertown Toyota not knowing what I wanted. I was really just looking at every truck in the market. David Meabrod was my salesman. He knew everything you could possibly know about the Toyota Tacoma. He really made me fall in love with it the first day. I still was not ready to pull the trigger on purchasing a new vehicle. So, I looked all over the Southeast US at used/new Tacomas and other trucks as well, but David is who I wanted to buy from. He was always courteous and professional. I Purchased a new Toyota Tacoma Pre-runner from David Meabrod a month or so ago and I have to say it was one of the smoothest, easiest, and stress free car buying experiences I have ever been through. I had been in the market for a new vehicle for a while and was dreading going to the dealership based off of previous experiences where you were pushed to purchase and had to haggle prices with the dealer and management. This experience was not anything like my previous ones. David was thoroughly knowledgeable about every facet of the vehicle, made for a quick process with all the paperwork, and answered any and all questions that we had regarding the purchase. The sense of worry that I typically have when purchasing a vehicle was non-existent. He was not pushy; he did none of the "fast talk" nonsense I have been exposed to when purchasing vehicles from other dealers and most importantly made me feel like a valued customer. His customer service was impeccable and continues to be even after the purchase. I was on the fence with trucks prior to meeting him but his honesty, knowledge, and ability to establish a stress free climate during the duration of my visit has further solidified me purchasing another Toyota if I ever had the need to do so in the future. I recently recommended an office partner to see him as he was in the market and he had the same experience. Im not sure what business model for customer service River Town has implemented but I can tell you, you guys are doing it right. Excellent job!

My husband wanted to surprise me with a new 4 Runner, so he stopped by RiverTown. We honestly had thought about just looking at a few here and then driving to Atlanta to buy the car. I had our 2 young daughters with us and he cut up with them, provided them crayons and paper to keep them busy, and even made them feel like a part of the process by giving them his business card and the keys to the new 4Runner. Great Sales, Poor Administration

I had a great buying experience. David Meabrod was very knowledgeable, professional, and helpful through the difficulties I experienced after buying. He really went above and beyond and always followed through. (5 stars for him and buying experience) Unfortunately, the finance department miscommunicated where the bank's check for the car was and asked them to draft another despite it already being cashed. Additionally, it took three months for them to finally finish the title work for me to get my plates (even though it was out of state, still excessive). I had to continuously follow up with my bank and the admin department. The group that installs add-ons forgot equipment, causing me to spend three trips to get my window tint and remote start installed. The dealership was apologetic and the sales group did what they could to make up for it, but unfortunately I had a poor experience due to the administration.

My car purchasing experience with David Meabrod was a seamless experience. I called ahead to talk to an agent. I had two return calls but one that stood out to me was David Meabrod, who called from his cell phone. He thanked me for calling and gave me his personal number to return the call. When I talked to David I informed him that I was interested in purchasing a Camry or an Avalon, my time was limited and I wanted to initiate the financing prior to my appointment with him. David emailed me the application, I completed it in just about 2 minutes. He called back shortly and said that his Finance Manager Steve was able to complete the financing. I arrived at Rivertown Toyota about 7 p.m. and my chariots were waiting! David had selected a couple of vehicles parked and ready for me to test drive. He was very professional yet personable, attentive and made sure all my questions and concerns were addressed. In less than 2 hours I had selected the most beautiful new 2014 Toyota Camry, fully loaded, leather and suede interior, signed my papers, received orientation from Davis about the vehicle and drove off the lot. In the interest if time, I only needed to return to for detailing because it was closing time. MacKinley and David were very helpful, thorough and not pressuring! I purchased a Toyota six months ago when it was Jay Toyota and had a great experience. A real review from a real customer.

The whole buying process is faulty. You go through lots of signing paperwork (such as trade-in appraisal, selling price agreement, etc.) before even talking payments or financing interest rates - they didn't even know if a bank would approve us or not and we spent 35 minutes signing needless paperwork unless we were actually 100% buying. When I brought that up, I was just told that would be gone over in financing. Spent 3 hours there and ended up walking out before a deal was made. Classic old-school used car salesman tactics that should not be applicable in today's car buying experience. Used car salesman's office was an old break room with a leaking ceiling. The salesman was very nice, but was "helping" from the Toyota lot and knew nothing about the used cars nor did he know anything about the paperwork he was showing us. Overall the most horrible experience I've ever had buying a car - period. The rest of these reviews look like "paid for" reviews. I wouldn't give them my money if it were the best deal I'd ever seen. Maybe their new car buying experience is different.

Superb experience w/ Robert Laster and Tom Wingate

I travelled 2.5 hours to this dealership because they worked with me beforehand and offered a truly impressive price for my new Tacoma. Tom Wingate worked with me via phone and email for a couple days to work out a sales price. Tom was the most efficient individual I have worked with at any dealership in providing answers to my questions and overachieving on the sales price. Because of the exceptional (honestly, surprising) low price of the truck, I chose to make the 2.5 hour trip to Rivertown Toyota. Tom had two customers on his hands when I arrived, so he let me work with Robert Laster to continue the discussion. Robert did an outstanding job at facilitating my purchase. He was laid back, low pressure, and always looked for ways to meet my needs. Additionally, the truck center sales manager, Chris, was very kind and extremely easy to negotiate with so we could agree on the numbers. Moving further in the buying process, I also enjoyed working with Steve in financing. Many times finance managers try to push you into extended warranties and add-ons, but Steve simply told me some were available if I wanted them. I said no and he never pushed or brought them up again. If I have one recommendation, it would be to have an additional finance manager to handle the volume of customers. It was no ones fault, but I did have a bit of a wait to sign the papers in financing as there were four customers in front of me. Once it was my turn, Steve was very quick in getting everything taken care of- there were simply a lot of buyers that day. Not a big deal, but it would streamline things if there was a little more capacity. I made it clear at the onset that I would be willing to purchase from the dealership with the best price. To this end, Rivertown Toyota did what it took to earn my business. That is the most important trait in a dealership, and I highly recommend them because they exceeded my expectations. Go to this dealership if you want excellent, efficient service and a willingness to deeply discount a vehicle to earn your business. Great job guys.

From start to finish this deal was made in one day. I had to come back the following day to close the deal because my wife still had to sign the power of attorney to release the title. At one point she was having anxiety about trading in our fairly new car at this time, I called David to say we may not be getting the car and he spoke with me with complete compassion and understanding and did not try to make me feel guilty or pressure me into buying the car. After I was able to explain the deal of a lifetime that we were getting to my wife she quickly felt better and signed the title over. I called David to tell him I was on my way to get the car and his attitude toward me was more like a friend or family member than that of a typical salesperson. A New Toyota Highlander XLE

After my on-line research, I took my "wish list" to Marlon Rice. After a few minutes in his office, each of us realized we were both Christians. Marlon had answers, almost before I could finish the question. The Highlander XLE is the third new vehicle I purchased in 70+ years. He located two vehicles in the Southeast, and during a phone conversation with another dealer, Marlon received a strong reluctance to part with the Highlander matching my request. The other dealer realized Marlon had provided a vehicle to him when he was doing the asking, so that Highlander is now in my driveway. Recently, on a rainy day, I went to Rivertown Toyota to inquire about buying a Toyota Tundra. My sales representative was Robert. Although Robert was busy with two other customers, he never gave me the impression that I was less important to him. When he finally was able to focus on me he was courteous and very knowledgeable. More important I never felt pressured into buying a vehicle/options I didn't want. After a test drive and Robert working up a few deals I left with something I wanted and could afford. I began looking on line for the mid size vehicle that was rated with the best gas mileage. Found out that Toyota Corolla had the best rated fuel economy in its class. After checking the reviews I decided that it just might be the vehicle I was looking for. I left a message at Rivertown Toyota web site via live chat and sales rep David Meabrod contacted us the next morning. My wife and I visited River town Toyota (pouring down rain) to check out the corolla and the prius. We never intended to make a purchase right then but ended up purchasing the corolla. I have purchased may vehicles over the years but I have to say that this purchase experience was the most pleasant one that I have ever had. Service was excellent, I planned on financing a car months later than I actually ended up doing so. David provided me with a brochure that consisted of the line of 2014 corollas. Very intrigued with the lineup, I ended up going back a couple of days later and left the dealership my Corolla S Plus. Great service from Tom Wingate. We actually worked everything out over the phone and email before going to the dealership. The dealership was over two hours from our house, but Tom had the exact model, options and price we were looking for, so we made the trip. Everything was as Tom said it would be before we left. Nothing was misrepresented or misdirected. The buying process was easy, straightforward and honest. No surprises or high pressure in a relaxed environment. Too easy!

I just bought a 2014 Toyota Tundra from Jay Toyota. I went there after being blatantly lied to by a dealer in Florida. Tom Wingate was my salesman. Looking for a work car

I called the day before and told the service rep Kenny I was very interested in the car. I would like for it to be detailed before I get there. I arrived and the car was not detailed. I test drove the car and it drove really good. I was really excited about the vehicle. We started the paperwork process and got to the financial part and I waited for 2 hours without anyone saying there are others in the office ahead of you. I left the dealership to eat dinner 30 mins into dinner the Kenny call and asked why I left if I was interested in the car. I was but I wasn't hurting for a vehicle so my hour in a half visit that it should have taken turned into three hours without a car. I spoke to the salesman Kenny and asked him to start the paperwork I wanted the vehicle and he informed me they close at 7 it was 6:45 even though I got there at 2:30. I drove 2 hrs out of state to buy the car and he tells me the financial officer will be in from 1 to 5 on Sunday. Very poor customer service!!!! I did purchase a car that Monday and it took me 5 mins to get approve and another 10 mins to sign. Thanks for letting me know where no to go back to if I'm looking for a vehicle.

Service Department should tell all charges first.

You go in for 99.95, 2 wheel brake service. Then they charge 120.00 more to resurface your rotors. I think they should tell you this up front, not just say it will be a extra charge. I wonder how people are done this way.
