Many are uncomfortable purchasing a car, and understandably so because it is a major purchase and the buyer often has limited information, but the great staff at Ray Skillman made the process comfortable for me and my family. They were both knowledgeable and courteous, and took the pressure out of what is typically perceived as a high-pressure ordeal. I am immensely satisfied with my new car, but also very satisfied that the experience and transaction went well.

This was the third car dealer that I had visited looking to lease a new car. They have excellent and friendly workers. Clay Williamson was nice and listened to what I wanted and had the correct information. He didn't try to sell me on anything and truly seemed to want to make sure that I was happy with my choice. I didn't feel pushed into a deal. Doug in finance answered my questions. AND they even hooked me up with car insurance. I drove away in a 2017 Kia Sportage with a big smile on my face! When I pulled into the bay I was greeted by Roy. I explained everything that was going on, and he told me the possibilities of my problem. After a short time Roy told me what the problem was and how much it would cost, and I ok the job. It wasnt much longer then my veh was done and Roy came and got me. The waiting room was clean, and organized.

The visit was to have what I thought to be a defective seat, repaired. In response, the Service Agent demonstrated the seat to be OK, and showed how to properly use the seat. In addition, the front license plate bracket was installed, at no charge. Needless to say, I am very satisfied with this dealership's professionalism and courtesy. I will defiantly return.

Had an oil change (coupon for service), but still car needed one and would have gotten it done w/o. At time it was suggested that I also needed 2 other services. Decided to go ahead and have them performed based on service record of car. Had to wait approx. 1.5 hrs as told I would. The employees are always pleasant every time I am there.

I was in your facility to have a lever on a seat replaced. Earlier in the week, I was having issues with a couple tires that I had just purchased from Goodyear. While on that visit, it was found out that I was having an issue with one of the sensors in the tire, which had already been replaced by Goodyear 2 times before. Just to know that your staff cared enough to take care of the sensor and my battery that was dying without my knowledge, tells me that I have been buying my vehicles from the right dealership. When I left the shop I had smoke coming out from under my hood where oil was spilled and burning off. This lasted for probably 20 min. had me really worried. I would expect more cleanliness from a dealership. The waiting room was dirty, broke down furniture and the vending machines were broke for the 1 & 1/2 hrs I had to wait there.

Jamey and Adam, as always, are very helpful. However, with a busy shop I was helped by Charlie. He was polite and friendly. I was disappointed that it took 4 hours to mount a set of 4 new tires and perform an alignment. I purposefully set my appointment a week in advance and arrived 30 minutes early to avoid this very issue. I have already spoken to Adam about this issue.

My truck has a noise in it like the transmission is slipping or something making some noise at times and it is not driving right. It has been doing it for a while and had them look at it 6-9 mo ago they thought it was something with 4 wheel drive but it is getting worse so took it couple weeks ago and they kept it over night and said they can not find anything. It is getting worse and times it makes a really bad noise, not sure what to do because I know there is something wrong even tho they say can't find anything.

The dealership sent an email and next day called to ask if I would like to make appt for items needed done for my car. Which I did and when I came in staff asked if I wanted a complimentary car wash as well, which I did and Was in and out within an hour for oil change, tire rotation and car wash. Wow. Love love. I love the service department. When you pull your vehicle into the area, you are greeted with a friendly hello, what can we help you with. They care about you and your vehicle. If you are waiting for your vehicle, they come and find you in the waiting area to talk about your car and what service it will need next time. My service consultant Adam Franks was great. We talked about Franklin College and when I came back that evening, he said Hi again. It is the little things that make a great service experience. We have lived all over the US and Ray Skillman's is by far the best service department we have ever experienced.

Chris Fischer and Matt Bender were extremely helpful and easy to work with and Adam K. made the financing aspect a breeze. Chris went the extra mile to find the Terrain I wanted in the color I wanted and even though it was not on the lot, Matt Bender drove it down and delivered it to us in Bloomington. All in all the sales/financing team was exceptional and Chris still stays in touch with me and checks in on whether everything is going well with the new vehicle. He just recently helped by sending me some documentation I needed to transfer my license plates and did so within 24 hours of contacting him asking for it.

As I was driving home from work, my check low tire light came on. I drove to Skillman, arrived at 5:15 and the tech looked at the tire. There was a bolt in it so they took it in (regardless of the time) and fixed the tire. It was completed by 6 pm! I really appreciated Skillman for taking the time to fix my tire so I didn't have to miss a day of work.

Due to my very busy schedule I needed to do alot of my due diligence online. I do not have the time to travel to multiple dealerships. Excellent service (as usual) by Adam & his team! I feel confident when I drive out of the garage, that my car is in tip top shape! I love being able to drive directly into the garage, (out of the elements), hand my keys over, and relax in their comfortable lounge where they offer coffee, tea, hot cocoa and cookies if I desire. Also a private room to make phone calls or recline in their leather recliners! I always use their wireless and catch up on emails while waiting. Check out is quick as well. I drive up from Bloomington for their service - it's that good!

After having some Buick recall repairs done last winter, I noticed several months later that a repair had been done incorrectly. Needless to say, I was not happy. I took my car back into the dealership and discussed the problem with Jamey Smith, the General Manager of the service department. Jamey personally coordinated a courtesy car dropped off at my house when the parts came in, picking up our Buick LaCrosse. The original repair was corrected the same day. Our Buick was returned to our home later that day, along with car cleaning and some gas to reimburse my frustrations, time and trouble. Jamey's professional customer care efforts have kept me a loyal Ray Skillman Buick/GMC customer.

This is the 2nd car I have purchased from Ray Skillman. The first was a few years ago and I had to go through the Buy Here/Pay Here. But I got a great car that was always reliable. I loved that car. Then I was involved in an accident, and my car was totaled. So Ray Skillman was the first place I looked for another car. I really wanted a Buick, but couldn't afford a new one. But I found a great used one in my price range on your web site. And even though my credit isn't the greatest, you were able to find financing for me. I can't stop showing it off and telling everyone what a great car it is.And the web site was a perfect way for me to shop. I searched on the web site for about a week to see what was available. And when I was ready, I knew exactly which location I needed to go to. I continue to be impressed with the attention to detail by Adam Franks and the service team at Ray Skillman GMC. I took my Acadia in for a "Service Engine" light. The team not only diagnoses the original problem, but checks for other potential issues/problems. We also followed-up on a previously identified issue we had been watching. A new potential problem was identified and all three problems were handled well. I was offered a loaner vehicle overnight (which I did not accept, but appreciated the offer). I feel the price of the service was fair and I was able to use a $150 certificate I had received in the mail. I appreciate these certificates. Thanks for the good service.

I have always had pleasant experiences at Skillman, whether purchasing a vehicle or having it serviced. My only complaint is that everytime I go in for service, when I get back in my car, someone has ALWAYS changed the radio and messed with the climate controls. Why? How much time are you spending in my car while changing the oil?

Vehicle broke down afte 4 months and 2600miles(used vehicle). Call salesman Jason Clark and he got me hooked up with service advisor Adam Franks. Vehicle was towed in...put in and fixed and ready to go with in 24 hours. Even came to my house and picked me up! Adam met me and introduced himself and was very helpful. We have bought several vehicles now from Skillman but never had the experience of shopping the internet for a one. The web site made it easy to shop and find a car in our price range, style and color. I litteraly walked into the show room with an appointment already made cutting down the time one usually spends walking the lot trying to find that fit. My sales representative was Jason Clark. I beleive this just may be the hardest working man in the car biz next to my son in law in St. Louis! He never lost his cool one time while we made a half a dozen changes to the vehicle and our trade in! They are always professional when you pull in to have work done. This time however, I'm not sure if they took advantage of 1 thing being off when checking the alignment. It was only 1 thing out of many different things listed and they went ahead and did an alignment when my husband felt (he wasn't there)it probably did not really need it.
