Prestman Auto pressures customers into leaving good reviews BEFORE they even drive off the lot with freebies and car washes, so these reviews aren't very legit. What they don't tell you, is that you end up paying the same amount for a clean title car, because they pressure you into getting an extended warranty that's only good for engine and transmission issues, not the other million things that go wrong with your car first. THE WORST PART is that you'll have a VERY hard time selling your car yourself. The rest of the world does not want a salvage title. All of Prestman Auto's cars have been TOTALED. That is why they push "branded title" cars, because it sounds nicer than salvage title or a totaled car. Also, not all insurance companies cover salvage titles, and they charge more. I didn't know all of this previously, so I feel like everyone should know what they're getting in to. I will end up losing way more money after I finally sell the car.

WOW!!! Is all I can say. We spoke to the sales rep Dub Reed and advised him we wanted to buy a car but the A/C was not working. He said, he'd get it fixed and our plan was to buy it AS SOON AS IT WAS REPAIRED. The dealership/sales rep sold the car right out from underneath us. These guys were nice to our face and then turned around and slapped us on the other cheek! NEVER NEVER NEVER WILL WE RETURN TO THIS DEALERSHIP! Bad Form Prestman Auto...bad form!

The prices are very low until their 12% fees are added. The sales consultant was very nice. The car I wanted was sold when we arrived. Then we found a different car with a great price until the fees were added.

I've notice a lot of confusion from other reviews with the customer service and service at Prestman Auto so I thought I'd add my two cents and my experience. First of all, they have a policy where they allow you to browse on your own without any interruptions from annoying sales reps. If you need help for a test drive something else, just ask any staff for an available sales rep to help you and they'll find one. Also, if you don't understand why their prices are so low, you should read on their website to learn a little about them because they aren't your typical car dealership. About 2 years ago I bought a 2013 Ford Focus ST-3 from them for an excellent price. I have loved my car ever since and I would recommend this dealership to anyone especially my fellow car guy/gal.

This is my second vehicle purchased through Prestman and I've been pleased both times. I worked with Debbie Francis for both transactions and she delivered both times. I am a very detailed, particular individual so good listening is critical. The thing I appreciated the most was the ability to do pretty much all of the paper work behind the scenes and sign electronically which allowed me to walk in, pick up the car and leave without spending time in the dealership (which is nicer and more comfortable than any other I've experienced).

I have seen a lot of five star reviews, and all I can say is "Where was this excellent staff when I went in?" I went online on February 19th to schedule a test drive on a 2012 Ford Explorer. A short time later, I got a call from Debbie to confirm, and advised her that I would be in around 5-6 pm later that day. When my wife and I arrived, nobody on staff welcomed us or greeted us. We stood in a waiting area as several staff members walked by us, not even acknowledging our presence. When someone finally did take notice that we were there, we were advised that Debbie was busy with another customer, but another sales person could help us out. Alex Romero was the one to take care of us at that point. We told her about our earlier conversation with Debbie, and which vehicle we were there to drive. She went and got us keys, and advised us that Debbie or someone else would be out to the vehicle to answer any questions. My wife and I went to the car and were dismayed to see that it was not very clean. There was crud in the cupholders, a sticky cough lozenge in one of the door receptacles, and dried juice drippings on another door. When we turned the car on, we immediately got a notice that an oil change was due. At this point we were seriously questioning our decision to come there. I mean, after all, if they don't even take the time to detail the car and update the maintenance, then what kind of effort was put into this car to get it ready for the sale? We then noticed that the mileage was different by over 7,000 miles than was advertised. Well, as it turned out, it was not the vehicle we had signed up for online - it was a 2013 Explorer, not the 2012. After being out there for about 25 minutes, and not having one sale person to come out and check up on us, we went back inside. We went to Alex's desk, and advised her that she had given us the keys the wrong vehicle. She then accused me of having signed up for the wrong vehicle online. I knew this was not correct, because Debbie had called me earlier and confirmed which vehicle we wanted to drive. Alex then went and got Debbie to help us. Debbie went on the computer and confirmed that I had, in fact, signed up for the correct vehicle. Alex didn't bother to apologize for her mistake, or for accusing me of making the screw up. Debbie then advised us that the car we wanted to look at was out on a test drive, and we could wait for it to return. We were led to a seating area and advised we could wait there, at which point Debbie took off to help someone else. One would have thought that she would have taken the time to get to know us, to find out what we were looking for in a vehicle, but she just bolted to help someone else. After sitting there for a few minutes, my wife and I decided that this company obviously was not interested in our business or us as individuals, so we left. On the way out, we passed Debbie as she was helping another customer, and she did not even bother to ask us why we were leaving. It was obvious that she had was either just too busy or else had no interest in helping us. That further solidified our decision to leave. As we drove off the lot, we were so disappointed in the poor customer service we had just experienced. We are planning on buying a car this week, and another one this fall for when my son and daughter go to college. I can assure you that Prestman Auto will not be the company that gets our business.


Transparency Issues: Please Read and Understand!

I'll break this review into 2 sections:Overview: Overall a great buying experience, but there are issues on being completely transparent which is a major issue for me. I still got a great vehicle, I know they will service it well, and it was below the cost of other dealerships around. Read below to understand where Prestman isn't being completely transparent about their sales process.Dub (Sales Rep) 5/5Dub was our sales rep. He was incredible, communicated well, and worked to get us a great deal on our vehicle. He was knowledgeable, and truly wanted us to do what was best for our family.Marshall (Manager) 2/5Marshall was nice enough and personable. The issue I had though was when it came to signing final paperwork and getting the final pricing. It was clear that the prices for the Title, Registration, and Plate Transfer were inflated based on what the state is actually charging. Tthey also charge a 'dealer documentation fee' which is not legally required to be charged (but not illegal either), I believe it was around $249. It's ultimately a way to skim an extra few hundred dollars (around $400 in our case) in revenue onto the price of their vehicles. What I like about Prestman is they are professional and upfront about everything....except when it comes to these inflated fees. When I questioned Marshall on this, he was very unprofessional, and stated he didn't know if these fees were inflated, and didn't want to know...because then if he did know they were inflated he'd have to tell a customer that he knew they were. In this day and age transparency is important. Information is power, and needs to be used properly. Witholding information breeds distrust. They need to communicate that they are inflating these fees. It doesn't bother me at all that I was apparently the first one to question them on this, in fact I hope others will also question them on this. I would've been much more ok with it if they told me up front that that is what they were doing vs. me having to uncover it for myself. A few hundred dollars really isn't a big deal, but it is when it is being hidden from you.Please be transparent in all your dealings, don't silo yourself and be transparent in part of the process but not the entire process.

if you are thinking of purchasing a car here carefully reconsider!! Do not purchase the extended warranty they offer you because when you try to use it the mechanic is backed up 2 months. Service as simple as oil changes is 2 months out. Note that these oil changes are an incentive they bribe you with after you purchase to get you to write them a good review. TOTAL SCAM. I did not write a review after purchasing because I did not have anything nice to say about my sales rep, Travis, so I didn't say anything at all. Now I feel it's important to share my experience with others to keep them from the same frustrating mistakes I was fooled into.

The buying process and facilities were good overall, but the service (especially after the sale) was less than desirable. I was told one payment to get me to make the drive to the dealership (over 250 miles one way), then found the payment to be higher due to a lower value on my trade than first estimated. Then after signing paperwork supposedly locking in an interest rate and payment, found out that the rate was going to be higher and that taxes had not been included in the total amount financed leaving the payment $50 higher than I had signed paperwork for. After repeated attempts at reaching the salesman and their finance department and receiving no follow up from their end, I gave up and chose to make the higher payment. I won't be recommending the dealership or returning to make another purchase in the future.

After stumbling upon Prestman online, doing our research on their website and with our Insurance company (USAA), and asking lots of questions of Trevor Durfrey and other team members at Prestman, we purchased a MAZDA CX-9 (2012 with only 12K miles, still looked and smelled brand new). We just returned only two months later to purchase a 2014 Tacoma with 7K miles (again, looked and smelled new). We are very happy with both vehicles and can't say enough about the excellent overall buying and owning experience. Prestman "Gets It!" Thanks for the Amazing Value and Great Service.

I just purchased my truck from Prestman. I was unsure of purchasing a branded vehicle but my sales advisor Trevor Durfey answered all my questions. Was given a history of the truck and out for a test drive within 15 minutes. Trevor was easy to deal with and NO high presure to purchase. I came back 2 days later to buy and once again Trevor came thru. He made both the paperwork and loan process extremely easy. Prestman Auto is the most committed business to customer satisfaction in the auto business that I have seen in my 20 years of buying cars! My sales agent was Trevor Durfey. Ask for the out-the-door price, and he'll hook you up with a no-hassle offer. We were able to take a test drive, go home, and think about the car experience we had. The next day, when Trevor followed up, he offered us an opportunity to execute the purchase electronically by signing a 13-page document online. It took only 15 minutes to do. The next day, our car was fully detailed, licensed, registered, and ready to roll! We saved an estimated 19.8% at Prestman Auto compared to their competitors. We were guaranteed to walk away satisfied, and they were serious.

I have purchased several vehicles from various dealerships all over the country in my day and Prestman Auto was by far the fastest and best service I've received. Debbie, Marshal and Tracy jumped through hoops to get me what I wanted and I was in and out in not time with a great car and even greater loan deal. I appreciate that their cars are all a no haggle price. You know what the price is up front. I did my research on vehicles beforehand and their prices were unbeatable. You can drive a nicer car for a lot better price than anywhere else. I was initially worried about the branded title, but they were able to tell me what the back story was for every car I was interested in. I initially figured, that I was saving almost $10,000 on the car I bought so if I had to put a little into I was still in a good situation. However, I have had my car for a while now and it runs beautifully. It also qualified for a 3 year bumper to bumper warranty. Thanks to Debbie and Marshal for a beautiful car and even better service!! We will be back!!

I found a Subaru Forester that I was very interested in on their site. I immediately put down the $1,000 deposit to hold the car (dumb decision by my part). The week prior to going to purchase the car I was asking a lot of questions (I had found out all their cars have salvage titles) and they did not give me straight answers. For one, I asked for an accident report and they said there wasn't one available. I searched the car online by its VIN # (highly recommended before considering one of their vehicles). Upon finding the accident report that "didn't exist" I found the damage to be much more significant then they had told me. I was told the front right fender had to be replaced and no major components were hit. However, the entire front right end had been completely smashed. I'm not saying you should not buy from them. Just make sure you do your research.

On May 12, 2015, I bought my 2013 VW Passat TDI from Prestman Auto. I live in Virginia, so I had to communicate with sales associate Debbie via long distance calls and e-mails before heading to Salt Lake City to purchase the car in person. The car had been in a chain collision, requiring lots of body work, front and rear. We made sure in advance that the seals were water tight and no wind noise. Seeing the car in person further reassured me that the restoration/repair work had been done most professionally. With less than 9,000 original miles on the drive train, and with great detailing, the car was practically new. The only issues I've had are a right headlamp unit that occasionally collects moisture inside the lens, and the trunk lid needs a new gas strut. Considering the sales price, that's no big deal. Everyone at the dealership was most friendly and helpful. Several of the staff who had driven this car said they would have considered buying it because it drove and handled so "sweet." They were right. It rides solid and quiet. The stick-shift transmission is the smoothest I have ever come across. Since buying the car I have had a sunroof installed. Will probably add navigation once I save up for it. Even after purchasing a bumper-to-bumper service contract, I saved many thousands of dollars over an equivalent used car under warranty. Thanks to Prestman Auto for giving this lovely vehicle a second life and a good home. Thanks to Cars.Com for helping me locate the car. Especially liked the Car Fax report and posted pics.

I recently purchased a vehicle from Prestman and found after the purchase an electrical problem with the seats and locks. I called Tracy and he told me to bring it in and they would look at it. They not only looked at it, they had to send it to the dealer for a specialist to figure out the problem. It was a module that was bad. They took care of the cost and made me a very happy customer. Last month I was looking for a 2015 Sienna XLE with All Wheel Drive for my wifey. Turns out: that's a fairly pricey automobile, but it's hard to locate any used 2014's with low mileage, in the color she wanted and with AWD. Fortunately, I found exactly that-- 1500 miles away from our home in Kansas City at Prestman Auto in Utah -- with only 13,000 miles and priced at least $12,000 less than a new one! And it was at a dealership that had 206 out of 213 people highly recommending them, with a 4.8 average out of 5 stars possible on Cars.com. That level of satisfaction across the board is practically unprecedented. I talked with the sales manager Marshall on the phone, who was extremely helpful in getting me all the details on the minivan. He then had one of his best sales associates, Travis Cheesman, follow up with me and continue to help. As it turns out, both are top quality folks I'm completely happy to recommend to others. I flew out to Salt Lake City, and Travis met me at the airport. "The guy looks like Leonardo DiCaprio during his Titanic years" was my first thought. Throughout the entire process and the followup after I got back home, Travis has continued to earn my respect and trust as someone I can confidently refer to others. I thoroughly enjoyed meeting Dave in finance as well, who got me a Platinum level warranty to cover me through the first 100,000 miles. Some might ask how Prestman can offer deals good enough to fly 1500 miles and spend a week's vacation driving home through Colorado (which was totally fun, by the way... And if you haven't ever skied Utah, that's an added bonus!) They take a car that has been in an accident, and restore it to factory specifications and like-new condition. In my case the Sienna XLE had only been hit from behind, so they replaced everything damaged to be like new, and put it through a 150 point inspection to make sure everything is running great. Yes, it has a branded/salvage title, and that can of course affect the eventual resale value -- but I fully expect it to run every bit as good as any other car. And if anything does go wrong I have a 100,000 mile warranty to cover me, while still saving many thousands over anything else comparable out there. This actually marks the FOURTH time I've been involved with a branded/salvage title car. The first was my 2003 Infiniti, which I got in 2004 -saving almost half the cost of new. Drove it without a hitch for 8 years. My son now enjoys owning it, and it continues to drive flawlessly after over a decade. The second was a Toyota Camry for another of my sons several years ago. He still loves his Camry, on which he saved many thousands. Never a problem there either. And, we helped a friend get a branded title Acura TL for a totally impressive savings. It too has been an ideal car in every way. I mention this because I actually have far MORE confidence in purchasing a branded title car from a trusted dealership like Prestman over purchasing from an individual, for example. The individual seller will not have put the car through a rigorous 150 point inspection and repair process... and he is not going to back me with a 100,000 mile "good as factory" warranty covering anything that might go wrong with the car. And buying from him or any other dealership will still cost me many thousands more! In summary: I will unhesitatingly recommend the team at Prestman Auto to anyone wanting to get an awesome deal. They are a great bunch of guys I will tell friends to look to FIRST, the next time they are shopping for a car.

And if you haven't ever skied Utah, that's an added bonus!) They take a car that has been in an accident, and restore it to factory specifications and like-new condition. In my case the Sienna XLE had only been hit from behind, so they replaced everything damaged to be like new, and put it through a 150 point inspection to make sure everything is running great. Yes, it has a branded/salvage title, and that can of course affect the eventual resale value -- but I fully expect it to run every bit as good as any other car. And if anything does go wrong I have a 100,000 mile warranty to cover me, while still saving many thousands over anything else comparable out there.This actually marks the FOURTH time I've been involved with a branded/salvage title car. The first was my 2003 Infiniti, which I got in 2004 -saving almost half the cost of new. Drove it without a hitch for 8 years. My son now enjoys owning it, and it continues to drive flawlessly after over a decade. The second was a Toyota Camry for another of my sons several years ago. He still loves his Camry, on which he saved many thousands. Never a problem there either. And, we helped a friend get a branded title Acura TL for a totally impressive savings. It too has been an ideal car in every way.I mention this because I actually have far MORE confidence in purchasing a branded title car from a trusted dealership like Prestman over purchasing from an individual, for example. The individual seller will not have put the car through a rigorous 150 point inspection and repair process... and he is not going to back me with a 100,000 mile "good as factory" warranty covering anything that might go wrong with the car. And buying from him or any other dealership will still cost me many thousands more!In summary: I will unhesitatingly recommend the team at Prestman Auto to anyone wanting to get an awesome deal. They are a great bunch of guys I will tell friends to look to FIRST, the next time they are shopping for a car.

I was in the market for a new car. I found one online I liked at a very good price. I called the number and got connected with Dub "The DUB MASTER" Reed. GREAT GUY!!! He was very polite and explained to me immediately why the car was priced lower than that of its competitors. At this point I had never purchased a "branded title" car before. Honestly, I was very apprehensive. I just thought one could never really know what was under paint, etc. You hear all the horror stories of getting the car you want at a great price, and then it falling apart or being "too good to be true" after you drive off the lot from "salvaged" or "branded title" cars. To me it was worth going to check out. I looked at several of the reviews. There were some bad ones that added to my doubts. Then I read all the good ones and realized people will have different experiences because of their expectations and views of situations. I decided to schedule an appointment and go up to dealership and see. Their cars on the lot, were beautiful. Their building was really nice. The staff was very friendly. Dub was great to work with. I was probably a little reserved at first because with all these things being good, I wanted to see what was the catch. It couldn't be all that good?!? RIGHT? It was, a great experience. I felt like they were upfront, honest, which made this experience something I will remember and share with others. THANK YOU Dub, for all the follow up and help with making this a good experience.

Absolutely no hassle. My wife saw a couple cars she liked online and called to ask questions. Melissa was the sales person she talked to and arranged for us to go in and test drive them. We continued looking online and found other cars we liked better so we showed up for the test drive and said we didn't want to drive the original cars we called on but the other cars we saw. Melissa had no problem with that. It was so nice to be able to test drive a few cars and not be pressured to go inside and sit to talk numbers. She even let us take the car we liked to go eat lunch and talk about the cars and decided what to do. Awesome place that I will definitely buy from again.

Been looking for a car for the wife about a year. Went in because the wife seen a vehicle on line on a Saturday that she really liked at a great price, so Monday morning I'm down there at opening time to check it out. It had already sold that Saturday. Salesmen weren't pushy about setting me up in something else I didn't want, (which is nice) but pointed me in the direction of something similar. I found a sweet Acadia I thought the wife would like and sat down with Trevor Durfey. He then went to telling me about their nitch about all their cars have the rebuilt/restored titles. He was upfront with everything, telling me the cars' history and what was done to it. He then let me test drive it out to show the wife. (Without him which was nice) Took it for half the day then brought it back telling him that she wasn't really into it. Trevor wasn't upset or nothing he wasn't gonna get to sell a car today and pleasantly said "Well keep us in mind when you decide." I then went and opened my mouth and asked what he might have for me? He asked what I lked and a price range and told me of a few cars I wasn't too interested in. Then he told me of a Lexus I might like. I saw it and got excited! He told me Not to drive it if I was look'n for the wife a car cause I'd fall for it. I did anyway. Took it for the other half of the day. I shouldn't of drove it cause I loved it! I brought it back and he told me its history. I wanted it but just didn't think I could get it at this time. Trevor again was fine with it and understood. Wasn't upset not to sell me a car and I went on my way. Later that week I came back with the wife for it. We sat down with him again so he could explain to wife about how they work. Trevor made her feel more at ease with the whole rebuilt titles and such and was great with us. I personally had owned 2 cars with rebuilt/restored titles and was fine as long as they're upfront with everything which they were. They still had my car luckily and took it for another test drive. We came back and told him we wanted it. It was late so we set it all up for the next day. I left a deposit so they couldn't sell it. It woulda been gone when I got back I just know. They had all my paperwork in order and explained everything. Well trained salesmen and underwriter. They explained all the different fees, which weren't as bad as I've seen at other car dealships (for those of you who have never bought a car from a dealership there are different hidden fees that come with buying a car from a dealership) All and all they were very easy and pleasant to work with. Trevor Durfey is good people, I got an awesome car for I feel a good deal. They do need to follow up on a few things for me but we'll see how all that goes. That's how you know they're honest is the follow through. I'd recommend them to friends tho. Thanks Prestman Auto.

I walked away from the dealership tonight with a car that felt like it was brand new, with only a few thousand miles on it and made in 2013. So much to say. 1. I am totally happy with the deal on my Honda Civic. 2. My salesman, Travis Cheesman, did exactly as I requested of him. 3. He did not beat around the bush and even got me a better deal then was required of him. 4. He had the car detailed while I was waiting in their massage chair; the two bottles of water in the car was a nice added touch! 5. The paperwork was all done on computer, with signatures all done electronically; easy to understand and easy to complete. 6. The financial manager, David White, new his business and explained things in a manner that made me feel like he was educating me about the process instead of selling me a car. 7. There was an amazing feeling of comfort throughout the whole process. 8, While I was there, a former customer came in with a truck he bought for Presstman Auto a few years ago. They gave him what he wanted for the truck and he ended up getting a very nice deal on a 2014. 9. I placed $1000 down to hold one of their vehicles. I understood and agreed the money was non-refundable. However, Prestman didn't live up to their end of the agreement. Once the paperwork was finalized, I paid nearly $1000 more in fees than the sticker price. I realize and accept that there is typically a dealer fee ($300 bucks or so), not to mention the obvious tax and licensing on top of the listed price. Upon finalizing the sale, another $668 was additionally added, $299 VPP (Etch) and $369 Destination Fee. The $299 VPP is a small engraving they put on the window to help prevent or locate stolen vehicles. The Destination Fee is apparently the average cost to get the vehicle to Utah from the state in which it is located. My question is, "Why do I pay for these costs?" Shouldn't that be included in the sticker price? Now, you may be thinking no big deal to all this but read their web page. The following is exactly what their web page claims, "One-Price Dealer. Know that when you shop at Prestman Auto, the price you see is the price you get. No dickering, no sticker tricks, no games. Period. Well, obviously a FALSE claim because I didn't get the price listed. I got the vehicle for $299 more than listed....sales contract evident. Sticker tricks...... $668 worth ($369 + $299). Now your wondering why I went through with the sale? It was either that or lose my $1000. They had me in a pickle and they knew it. I could have bought a vehicle two years newer with a clean title, more options, no salvage title, and the vehicle warranty still active for $200 more.......YES, out the door. I'm surprised they didn't charge me an additional $100 to have the care detailed. BTW, I thought I was going to run out of fuel driving to the nearest fuel station. The vehicle was completely empty...another $80. If I would have been aware of these hidden fees up front, I wouldn't have been so upset. Course, Prestman Auto wouldn't have sold me a car either. Nice and friendly up front, once the deal closes....not even a handshake. Pat yourselves on the back PRESTMAN AUTO.

I normally do not write reviews, and if I do I only write good reviews, not bad reviews. However, the salesman Tracy asked us to write a review, so here I go. I probably should have walked away from the deal, but both my husband and I liked the vehicle and thought the sticker price was reasonable (not a deal by any means but at least reasonable). They state on their website and office that they have "no haggle" and "no dicker" prices. This is not true. They would not budge on the price for us; however, when Tracy sent us into the finance director (even though we still had questions we didn't get a chance to ask) THEY HAD EXTRA HIDDEN FEES. The finance director had us signing the paperwork before he went over all the fees and total price so we stopped him and started asking about the fees. When we questioned a couple of his fees, he told us that he was very busy and if we wanted to rethink this we could go out and wait (after we had already waited OVER 40 minutes to talk to our salesman Tracy who just then sent us into see him). This meant we would have probably waited another 40 min or more and we had already been there since 10 AM and it was now 4:40 PM. They said they were busy but I didn't see many other people there. Now for the fees: They charged us $299 for their "safety feature" which is a VIN number etched into all the windows. He told us how there was some theft on THEIR lot, so they have it done and now WE pay for it. We would NOT have needed this and just because THEY needed it done, doesn't mean we should have to pay for it. Pay for your own security system. Don't make us pay. When we argued with this (and the next one I will refer to) the finance guy said "it's all on our website". Made us feel dumb for not knowing we were going to be charged this. Well, I just looked on there website for over 30 min and can't find these fees listed anywhere. The only thing I can find is their "no dicker" slogan meaning what price you see is what you get. Well that's simply untrue and inaccurate. The other fee is the "destination fee" (do not confuse with the docking fee, which we expected to pay). The destination fee was explained to us as the fee that they have to pay when they buy the car from out of state and bring it to Utah. We didn't order from out of state, that price was a price they paid for the car, and should be in the sticker price of the car. However, it was slipped in at the end. I am not complaining about the tax, registration, or even the docking or dealer fee. In total, with those two fees we paid an extra $669. Also, when we were signing things, they were all in my name. However, this is supposed to be my husbands car. I commented about this not being right, and the finance guy never offered to change the names, but kept shoving papers in my hand. No one ever asked us before they printed the papers, who's name should be first, but then he acted like it was our fault that they were in my name and he was in too much of a hurry to even bothering offering to change it. They made a wrong assumption... and well, we all know that saying. Next, we had questions for our salesman before we wanted to sign, but after we told him we'd buy the car via phone, we never got a chance to ask more questions. Via phone we did ask him if we could get the damage report from the car. He handed us a carfax report AFTER we got done talking with the finance guy. This does not have the damage report for any one who was wondering. Then, they only had one set of keys, did not even have an owner's manual, and never gave us a damage report. And did not help us set up the bluetooth on our new car (which is somewhat difficult to do without the owner's manual). We still haven't tried to get the right time on the clock. Lastly.The wait was ridiculous.The couch we sat on was awesome, but no one offered us anything while we waited, and we waited MULTIPLE times. The last one was 40 min. I didn't even time the others.

What a difference these guys are making to the car buying experience. When we first walked into Prestman Auto, we were happily greeted by Jeff Wright, one of the sales guys at Prestman. Let me tell you, this is not one of those "what do I have to do to get you into this car today?" type dealerships. They have no-haggle pricing, and it really is no pressure. Jeff was great in understanding our needs and made sure he was showing us the cars that worked for us. We came in looking for a Honda Pilot, and we left with the perfect car, a Honda Pilot. Jeff showed us what we needed. He took the time to make sure we really knew how buying a "branded title" worked, and made sure we were comfortable with that process. He was very very patient, and super friendly. He even made sure to keep our four-year-old entertained, and sugared up (nutter-butters and red vines). There were a few things we needed done with the car before we took it off the lot, and Jeff made sure the service department was on the same page we were. He really took care of us. Dave in financing was fun to do the paperwork with, and we really felt like we were valued customers. Would we buy another car from Prestman Auto? Yes! And if you go in there, make sure you ask for Jeff...you will leave happy and know you were taken care of.

Marshall was upfront with me and told me no one else was going to offer me what that other dealership had offered me and it was in my best interest to go to the other dealership. This is the complete opposite of what most dealerships would do and I think it is very commendable that Prestman Auto truly cares about peoples best interest and investments. Tracy has now officially sold us 3 cars in the past 6 years. Every single time it's been an absolute amazing experience. We have recommended to everyone we know and continue to be impressed on how he goes above and beyond for us. This experience has been no exception. We had another car we were considering however we didn't like it as much as the one we ended up selecting. The biggest difference was that we really wanted a DVD entertainment system for the back. Recently purchased a VW from here and couldn't be more pleased with the sales service. I was hesitant to purchase here first off with how the cars have rebuilt titles but after looking at the mass inventory and driving a few of them my mind was changed. I recently purchased a 2009 Nissan Maxima from Prestman Auto and it was an overall great experience! I absolutely love the car and was able to get it for a great price! I worked directly with Todd, he was laid back and never tried to pressure me like most car salesmen do. He was informative and patient while we had to try to get through some red tape with my bank. I enjoyed working with him because most car salesmen end up turning me off from purchasing a car by the way that they approach you. He also treated me with the professionalism that you would expect and really appreciate but don't always receive! The person that absolutely blew away my expectations though, was Alec Flitton. There were some troubles that I had with the car AFTER I purchased it and Alec followed through and helped me fix everything that he could! There was a center console piece that was missing from a custom deck being installed and he suggested where I should be able to find a replacement and promised that if I purchased it that he would refund me the money. He did JUST THAT. He was prompt with his responses and his help. There was also a huge issue with the paint job on the car. The paint had started to peel off everywhere and I was afraid that I was going to have to end up paying for a brand new paint job. I brought it in and when Alec saw the car you could tell he was shocked that I was having this issue. He asked me to drop off the car, gave me an Infinity G37 for a loaner, and then completely repainted the entire car! You can tell Alec is 100% dedicated to his job and wants to make sure that customers are completely satisfied with their purchase. I think he is one of the best and most reliable representatives I have ever worked with. There are a LOT of people that will promise you the world but don't ever end up following through, and Alec stuck to his word without any hesitation! Any time I ever have anyone ask me about buying a car again I will ONLY recommend to go in to work directly with Alec Flitton at Prestman Auto. He is one of the biggest assets that that dealership has! When I need to purchase my next vehicle, I know where I am going WITHOUT A DOUBT! I have bought a couple of cars in my life, never have I had the customer service that Prestman provided. there salesman were friendly and my salesman TREVOR DURFEY was fast. I went in at 9:30 and had my new vehicle bought and paid for by 3:30. that included my test drive and waiting for them to detail the vehicle. they let me buy my vehicle before they had even officially put the car on there lot for sale, they are very flexible with helping the buyer. all in all I would have to say the Prestman auto team is the best around, it was the easiest and best experience I have ever had buying a vehicle.

When I decided I needed to get a better car I was very leery of car dealerships based on past experiences, but found Prestman Auto and especially the salesman, Trevor Durfey, to be a pleasant surprise. I didn't feel pressured to accept their terms or feel like they were trying to mislead me in any way. It was a very pleasant experience for me and my daughter and grandchildren who were with me. The dealership was a comfortable place for my daughter and grand kids to hang out and wait for me to fill out papers, comfortable enough that they didn't want to leave. Their prices are great due to selling branded title vehicles. They have to work very hard to instill confidence in their products since there is general concern about buying branded title vehicles. They will tell you how great their customer service is and how much pride they take in it over and over. Their service is above average for a dealership and they don't pressure you at all, but they aren't anything special. They are in it to make a profit, understandably, since they are a business. They will do what they can to make money off of you including the old dealership tricks you always see of tacking on unnecessary things at the point of sale that you have to pay close attention to in order to have them removed. They left our car on empty until we pressured them to give us some gas with our purchase, which still didn't amount to a full tank. They also refused to get us a second key with our car after we payed full asking price with cash without giving them any problems.In the end they are a good dealership but still a dealership. I wouldn't specifically send someone there but I wouldn't discourage anyone from considering them. I would check them out for my future purchases but have no loyalty to them.

1. Worked with Trevor and he was outgoing, but not a "used car salesman" mentality. Straight up and honest about branded title vehicles and making sure we test drove a bunch of cars to get what we wanted. 2. Pricing was fair - check "rough trade" on NADA before making a purchase. Negotiate as needed. 3. Took the car to a mechanic and it checked out. 4. Detail job on car not impressive 5. When you buy they should fill the car with fuel and have decent tires. Comes across as cheap 6. No issues so far. 7. I WOULD buy a car from Prestman again.

Trevor was our salesman at Prestman Auto and was very helpful and patient during our buying process. We were in the market for an 8 passenger SUV. After numerous test drives throughout the valley and visits to different dealerships, we decided upon a Honda Pilot. The new ones were out of our budget, so we started searching for a used low mileage one. I found what I was looking for in an Internet search at Prestman. We showed up to the dealership, walked the lot and found what we came for. Trevor greeted us in the lot and assisted us from start to finish. We were familiar with branded titles as we own a branded Subaru (that we've had for years with no problems). The quality of their inventory is unparalleled. No beaters here! Trevor was very helpful with letting us put the Honda through a vigorous test drive up Parleys Canyon, as we live in Park City and wanted to see how it did up and down. Despite this particular vehicle being in a front end collision, it looked and ran like new. Trevor never tried to up sell us or go out of our budget. He made our buying process as painless as possible and we left the lot with a new (to us) Honda Pilot with relatively low miles. We were shown the carfax and photos of work done to the vehicle. The shop detailed the car before we left the lot as well. We would highly recommend this dealership and our salesman Trevor. We have had the car close to a month now Nd live it, even just took a road trip to Las Vegas in it with no problems. Thanks Prestman Auto sales and Trevor for a great buying experience!

When you first walk in the showroom is very clean and the staff is very welcoming and friendly. Alec is GREAT! We explained what we were looking for that day and he immediately got our information and took us to the truck we wanted to look at. He was great at explaining everything about the truck. He gave us plates and the key and told us to enjoy our drive. When we got back he asked how the drive was, but didn't pressure at all. Working with Alec was unlike any other car dealer. There was no pressure, but he answered all of our questions and is very personable. While we were waiting on some paperwork we were offered several waters and the staff would stop by and chat. Very friendly atmosphere. We met Marshall, Tracy, and a couple others whose names escape us right now. The price on the truck was unbeatable and Alec made sure we were happy with everything. The only negative was in the detailing of the truck. While we were signing paperwork the truck was supposed to be detailed. The outside couldn't be done because it was pouring rain, so he told us to stop by another day and they'll give us a wash, but inside wasn't detailed, it was only mostly clean. The console was still very dirty and everything didn't look like it was wiped down. The seats were very clean and it had been vacuumed out. They topped off all fluids except gas. Just as we were leaving the lot the gas light came on and we had to put air in the tires as that was forgotten. Even with these minor misses we were very happy. We would recommend them to others and we will be back ourselves because the savings are well worth the 7 hour drive.

GREAT EXPERIENCE!! I had spent about 2 weeks shopping around to different dealers in search of a good, used small pickup. I happened to find one listed here and thought I might as well check it out. I live about 40 miles away but found the trip to be worth it. Todd Palmer met me at the door and immediately I could sense a difference in the approach here. Gone was the "What can I do to get you home in this vehicle today?!" pressure and we were able to talk candidly about not only the vehicle but the fact that I knew I would have to be back in a few days to pick it up. There were a few minor details on the vehicle that needed attention before I bought it (cracked head and tail lights) and Todd assured me that it would be taken care of the that the price would stay the same. The vehicle I purchased this time was not one of the branded titles (it had been traded for one recently) but after having dealt with the sales team and having such a great experience, I will certainly plan to come back here when it's time for something a little more fancy in the future! I was looking for a Subaru with low miles. This dealership had the exact vehicle I was wanting. I was very apprehensive at first since I live no where near Utah. I worked with Marshall during the process. He was very helpful even after I asked the same questions several times. He was knowledgeable, personable, polite, responsive and respectful. Unlike the "used car salesmen" I expected. They picked my son up from the airport and took him to the dealership. I had already secured financing at home so there were no dealing with that. I couldn't of expected a better outcome. My son has a excellent vehicle and he is very excited. Of course the person paying for it still hasn't seen it yet, that would be me. Well, my son was out looking all day last Saturday for a SUV within our price range, and found a 2005 Grand Jeep Cherokee with 81,000 miles on it! I had to work until 6:00 PM and asked him to test drive it. After that, he said I would probably like this car, and that I should drive down from Park City. I called the dealership and asked when they would close, and they said 7:00 PM. So, I arrived at 6:30, met Trevor, and my wife showed up with her voice student, returning from a competition. So my wife and I piled in and took it straight to I 80 to feel it at 65. It was very good and I asked if she wanted to drive it, but, because of the time, it was almost 7:00 PM. I told Trevor, I liked it and we negotiated on my trade-in. He collaborated with Dave, and we struck a deal. So, right away, they detailed the vehicle, and we proceeded with securing the financing. There was some question whether or not we could close the deal, and I said I am too busy to make another trip to Salt Lake, and besides, I need the vehicle to go to church on Sunday. Without hesitation they stayed over two hours wrapping it up so I could drive off the lot with the car. How many dealerships would have done that? Prestman Auto's staff and fellow sales people were warm, concerned and willing to go the extra mile for my family. It was definitely five star status customer service. My son saw his dream Subaru (WRX STI) posted on their website. He told me it was a great price and looked like a great used car. I had concerns because it was a rebranded title. But we went and checked it out; they showed us the carfax and it was only rebranded because it had been stolen. The previous owner's misfortune became our great fortune. It was a great car with solid engine, smooth transmission, perfect body and good interior. The best part was the price was about 4-5K less than bluebook.- about a 20% savings. They also gave us a fair price on our trade-in. Furthermore, they were more than willing to work with our bank which had given us a pre-approved loan at a great rate. Our sales advisers Red & Marshall addressed all our concerns and wishes. They was no pressure, they just let the car sell itself; and they had a lot of great vehicles. Now it's not the grandest showroom, but nice enough and very clean. Also it took about 3 hours, which we were prepared for, because their was a lot to do (test drive, trade-in, financing, paperwork). So overall we had an excellent experience and we thank the entire staff, especially Red, Marshall & Dave.

I bought my 2012 E300 Black Mercedes this past summer. I LOVE IT!!!! It is the most awesome car!! Prestman's were so good to work with. Jake Broadway was my salesman. He is no longer there, but the staff there were really super to work with!! I would never have dreamed of getting such a nice car like this, but Prestman's made it possible. This car had only 14,000 miles on it, and the only reason is a "Branded/Salvage" Title is because water got inside the car, engine sealed no effect. They replaced the carpeting and I saved $20,000!!!! It's now mine, all mine!!!!

Had a list of 4 dealers to visit that day with this being the first stop. Was looking for a specific model and they had one that I was interested in. It was nice but didn't quite fit the bill but Alec turned me to another on that met more of the needs as discussed. Needless to say, I went no further with the world Class Customer Service from there. They explained the process upfront on there niche market and made me feel comfortable about the vehicle. There was little to no pressure as I had experienced the day prior from another local dealer with allowing me to test drive on my own to take in the experience more relaxed. Everything was well explained in the financing to round out the process. I am glad that I went in and highly recommend that one look there first or last, but make sure that you do before any final decision, it will be of great benefit if you do!

We have been looking for a "new" vehicle for over a year! We debate everything! Style, color, make, model, even the wheels! Searching the newspapers, internet and sending our 80+ year old dad out to look for us on the other side of the state! We came across Prestman online and kept watching what they had in stock. I read reviews, good and bad. Researched VIN numbers and learned what type of work they do and how well they do it! Their prices for what they had to offer could not be beat. I contacted them with information on our trade in and we went from there. This past weekend we took the plunge! Headed to the lot and met Marshall Bellm. Marshall helped us out with showing us what they had available and getting us to test drive a number of available vehicles on the lot. If we had questions about a vehicles past, Marshall told us or showed us its history. Very straight forward with information. When it comes to the two of us actually agreeing on something, we go for it! It took a little while for us to get to meet with Dave (financing) but that was because so many others had found their "new" vehicles ahead of us! Dave was great, explained everything well and had us done in no time. When we stepped out the door our 2013 Chevy Equinox was all ready to go home! One more thing, "SMILE" ! And homeward bound! "If it's too good to be true, it's NOT", mentioned on the internet. Prestman Auto can twist your head around because they are, Too Good to Be True. I purchased a branded title/salvaged 2006 Lexus SC430 in June 2013 for the lowest price in the nation. Prestman Auto advertises, "Customer Support for out-of-state customers". I am 775 miles from them, in California. Did they really have to fix an "after-the-sale" problem? I cannot think of another company that would have, but Lidge at Prestman Auto arranged to get my car fixed! I was skeptical, but my Baby is fixed and I did not pay a penny for that. It was almost, Too Good to Be True, but Prestman Auto was True! I've been in business for 40 years and Prestman Auto is the most truthful, ethical,wonderful company/staff and rank the "BEST" of all!

Ive been looking for a car for a long time and occasionally would see something that Prestman that caught my eye, however, when I read the online reviews I thought, sounds too good to be true seems like the reviews were written by friends and family members. Then in February I found an Audi S4 come up on KSL.com and called to get more information. I was impressed by Tracy Ball who fielded my call and told him Id be up to drive the car in 45 minutes.Walking into their showroom is dreamlike. Very clean, warm greeting from the receptionist, classic cars, a nice motorcycle or two, and a brand new 2013 Vette with 5 miles on it set on the showroom floor. It just feels good. We were introduced to Tracy liked him right off the bat. I didnt see any slimy looking sales guys lurking or swarming anywhere. We went to his desk and signed the paperwork to take a test drive and then he took us out to the car. He told us a little about it and showed us a few of the cool features, but we could tell he wasnt really an expert on this Audi model. He encouraged us to really drive it and to take 20 minutes or more to go wherever.We loved the car and told Tracy we were in when we met him back in the showroom. We learned that they dont dicker on price (which I actually like) and they dont have an extra set of keys usually. It took a while for them to finish the paperwork as Tracy was working with multiple customers, but I just sat on the comfortable couch and watched television while the receptionist asked if she could get me anything to drink. The final paperwork with Cory (as I remember) was painless with no hard sell on the warranty or anything he positioned it, but when I said I wasnt interested we quickly moved on.After finishing the paperwork, Tracy told me to pick out a couple of Prestman T-shirts from the two racks they have on the floor while his guy detailed the car. When it was ready, he gave me the keys and I was off. The first thing I noticed when I got in the car is that the detailer must have thought detail the Audi meant to take the floor mats out of the trunk and put them in the car! The console storage was dirty, dust all over the interior and in the ash tray, floor not vacuumed. It had not been cleaned, much less detailed! I was so excited I didnt care plus it was right at closing time. My son worked at a carwash, so I figured Id just get it done correctly when I got home. As I got on the freeway, I noticed that the MMI system (navigation/stereo) on the Audi had gone dark and wouldnt boot back up when I pushed the power button! NO! I immediately called Tracy and he said, Dont worry, bring it back Monday morning and well take care of you. For whatever reason, the system started working on its own Sunday afternoon. On Monday I decided to take the car to the Audi dealer to have them go through it since I knew that Prestman probably wouldnt have the diagnostic equipment necessary to address a computer system issue on an Audi. When I met with the Audi mechanic he pointed out some things about the car that I should have noticed had I not been so enamored with the beauty of the car. For instance, the car was covered with overspray and orange peel, there was a spot where the body shop buffed through the paint all the way to the metal (I actually noticed this before test-driving it), there were several runs in the paint, the sunroof was installed crooked, the doors were not aligned, and one of the parts was missing from the front end (the car had been damaged in the rear). The tires were also rubbing on the fenders because it had been lowered too much and there was a hole in the muffler. Upon further inspection on my own, I could see the obvious sloppy work of the repair shop that Prestman uses for Audi work in California with body bolts missing and a water leak into the body cavity where they stereo amp is housed (rear drivers side where the car had been wrecked), etc. After leaving the Audi dealer with the bad news, I immediately called Tracy and he again reassured me that they would totally take care of me and to bring the car up with the list of stuff that the dealer found and they would fix it all. My wife took it to them later that week and left it with them for a week. They sent her home with a nice Acura loaner, which I thought was very classy! After talking to Tracy and finding that his mechanic had taken care of everything, I went back to get it, I discovered right away that they had not buffed out the paint to remove the overspray and it was still not detailed (which was interesting because the lot boy was spraying tire cleaner on the tires when I picked it up didnt wipe it off, so it splattered all over the white paint as soon as I drove off, but it looked like hed been assigned to detail it). They did straighten the doors, lifted it a bit so the tires didnt rub, and the sunroof doesnt leak. Until I get under it, I wont know if they repaired the muffler or got the missing part on the front end. They couldnt replicate the MMI problem and until it happens again theres nothing Prestman can do. Tracy said they would take care of me if that happens. Tracy wasnt there the day I picked it up, so I called him the next day and told him that the paint hadnt been taken care of and it had still not been detailed at all. He said he would talk to his guy and find out what was going on and to bring it up and they would get it right.I happened to be in SLC a few days later on a Friday and went to drop it off. Unfortunately, his guy was gone for the day and they didnt have a loaner. I couldnt leave it and so I determined that I would bring it up from Utah Valley that next Saturday. However, after thinking about what my time is worth (and the time of the other person who would have to take me up there, bring me home, and take me up there again 4 hours later) I decided I would be better off to have the car detailed at a local car wash. The paint was so bad that the detailer at the car wash had to do whats called gray barring to remove the overspray and orange peel and get it buffed and waxed. They discovered when they did that that the body shop failed to Clear Coat the inside of the door wells, so they cannot be waxed/buffed/shined and will always be dull and rough. They also showed me where one of the rims had a big ding in it that had been filled with some sort of weld and then spray painted with some cheap paint. (I cant believe I didnt see that. It is so obvious now!) They had a guy working on the car for 10 hours with two helpers and charged me $361.55 - they gave me a huge discount because my son used to work there.Bottom line: I love the car and feel that it was offered at a fair price had it not had the issues with the bodywork that I was too inexperienced and ga-ga to notice. I like the fact that they dont dicker on price. The price is what it is. My wife and I really liked Tracy and I feel that his intent around taking care of customers is sound. The buying experience at Prestman is great. The attention to detail in terms of the lot experience and the paperwork is fantastic, however the attention to detail on our particular vehicle was really bad for both the body work and the detailing of the car. If that is typical of the body work their Audi guy does in California, Id steer clear of Prestmans Audi inventory. Whatever car you look at there dont be too excited about the shiny rims and the take a good hard look at the body work. Rub your hand on the paint to make sure there are no rough spots. Make sure the lines in the doors match up and that there is no orange peel in the paint. If you get in the car to take it off the lot and it is not completely flawless inside and out, stop, take it back, and have them detail it right.

We bought a Toyota Sienna from Prestman on April 13th. Everyone was polite, good to us, and professional. They specialize in autos with branded titles. At first I was nervous about buying one but soon learned that this is not a gamble (at least not any more than buying any auto is). They do a lot of work to ensure that what they sell is a quality product. I would buy from them again.

Bottom line: I love the Audi I bought at Prestman and feel that it was offered at a fair price had it not had serious issues with the bodywork that I was too inexperienced and ga-ga to notice. I like the fact that they dont dicker on price. The price is what it is. My wife and I really liked Tracy Ball, the sales manager and I feel that his intent around taking care of customers is sound. The buying experience at Prestman is great. The attention to detail in terms of the lot experience and the paperwork is fantastic, however the attention to detail on our particular vehicle was really bad for both the body work and the detailing of the car. If that is typical of the body work their Audi guy does in California, Id steer clear of Prestmans Audi inventory. Whatever car you look at there dont be too excited about the shiny rims and the take a good hard look at the body work. Rub your hand on the paint to make sure there are no rough spots. Make sure the lines in the doors match up and that there is no orange peel in the paint. If you get in the car to take it off the lot and it is not completely flawless inside and out, stop, take it back, and have them detail it right.

The Cadillac CTS that I purchased from Prestman Auto was 10,000 dollars cheaper than any other dealership that I could find in the Country! Thats why I flew 1800 miles from Pittsburgh, then turned around and drove it back! Prestman Auto offers excellent customer service and are ready to answer any questions a person may have. They are very upfront about the vehicles they sale and will give you honest prices for trades. This Ford Escape was around 1400 under market value and after all the fees, I was still looking at a 800 under market value. This was my second car purchased from Prestman Auto and both times I drove away feeling like I got an incredible deal on a near-new vehicle. The latest purchase really demonstrated the integrity of the Prestman team. During reconditioning an unforeseen issue with a noncritical function was encountered. In an effort to ensure every feature worked, they sent it to Nissan which ended up being a costly and time consuming job. Due to part delays, Tracy worked a deal with my local Denver CO Nissan dealership and allowed me to take possession of the car and have it fixed in my home state. I congratulate Tracy and Jorgen for making sure my car was 100% up to their standards and mine. I look forward to my third car purchase in the near future.

We have purchased several cars from Prestman Auto over many years and have always had an excellent experience. We have never had a bad experience and have driven the cars purchased from them for many years and have then passed the cars onto our children. They too have continued to drive the cars for several additional years and other than general maintenance the cars have worked very well. We usually go for the Toyota Avalon and with our latest purchase of January 14th 2013 we purchased a 2005 Toyota Avalon which is our 4 Avalon purchased from Prestman Auto. When we need to buy another car we always go to Prestman Auto to see what they have in their inventory.We are always pleased with them and always recommend them to family and friends.
