So I came in to the service department for my appointment at 1:30 pm to check my tire pressure. I was told that by my service advisor Charles Mitchell that if I needed a patch it would take 30 mins max and if I needed a new tire it would take 1 hr. I also asked for courtesy if they could run my car through the wash. So one hour goes by, I just assume they must of changed my tire. Now two hours later (3:30) I get a call that my car is ready (not really). So Charles said that my tire had a shard of glass and they had to order, won't be in til tomorrow. So I'm not understanding why on earth it should take 2 hours for me to find out this information. I'm not mad that my tire is messed up but that his customer service sucks! He could have at least called me in between to let me know the status of my vehicle. Makes things worse he had an attitude because I was upset lol. By far my worse experience with Honda Service. I'm a store manager and my employees treat there customers the way they want to be treated. Smh FYI : They didn't wash my car as promised.

I made an appointment to look at a few used cars. Was promptly assisted by Ahmad. Excellent service, he was courteous and very well informed. All 3 of the cars I had researched were there, and he was extremely patient, as i went from car to car. I had been to other dealerships, and really just planned on checking them out. But I liked what I saw, and everyone was so polite and helpful that I ended up closing the deal that day. Nice, clean friendly dealership, happy with my purchase.

I love the online help on the site. It's easy to get my questions answered, but the woman that called me ended up not asking 3 'shot questions I needed answered and told me to just walk in for a test drive. I ignor my unanswered questions and waited, 4 days, until the day I was going. Each day I looked up the car I wanted AND was going to test drive for 4 5times a day and somehow it was just gone the last 2 days. The woman still never answered my previous questions so I gave her new ones: why wasn't I informed that the car I'm suppose to drive is gone? We're u going to call and even let me know of this? She again dodged those questions and just replied with saying well I don't know what happened to THAT car but we have even better cars here for new, hondas and others. I told her no, I was looking for that make and model only right now. She kept going with well, I can find you cars better but similar to that car. I ended the conversation with: no thank you, I have interest in one car. Thanks for your time. I hung up after. I had better service from a lesser known dealer ship, with just as many cars.

I was so pleased at Planet Honda this weekend when I drove off with my new HRV. I was not sure if it was going to happen all in one day but my Sales Rep Kaleem Wyne helped me seal the deal. I was a little nervous about buying a used car. I have always purchased new vehicles and just wanted to see what my options were. Aladdin showed me a couple of Honda Civics and Accords he went over the Certified Vehicle warranty and what the differences were between a non certified vehicle. The price point and the certified warranty drove the point home for me and because of this I'm a proud owner of a 2014 Honda Accord.

A gentleman named "Rumney Corvalan" in the FINANCE department assisted me with my brief questions about my vehicle. Unfortunately, he was extremely sarcastic, rude and unprofessional. He offered me an "illegal" way of dealing with my situation, which I was in awe with! As an employee with Honda, everything should be LEGAL! Please be on the look out for representatives that don't know how to do their jobs correctly and can't offer information/guidelines in a professional manner. PLEASE UPGRADE PLANET HONDA!

So I was looking into trading my Acura MDX in for a 2008/2009 Honda Accord coupe. I spoke to a woman Monica who kept calling me to try to get me to come in. I told her that I didn't want to waste time and told her my situation she said we can do that. She had me come in. When I got there Monica gave me over to a salesman named Aladdin. So we took a drive in my car. He took down my payoff Amount and gave it to the finance guy. The finance guy told me that they wouldn't of the car off and that I would owe $8000-9000 and they could only bury the amount of the car I wanted to buy was more expensive. I was heated at this point because I felt like I had completely wasted my time. So I asked to speak to Monica's manager. A woman named Delia came out. I proceeded to tell her how upset I was with Planet Honda NJ for wasting my time. She was trying to make it seem as if it were my fault. Anyways we all know that customers are "always right" this woman was very rude she got up walked away from me and in my opinion was very unprofessional. I might have been a little loud but she is a manager of a car dealer that I was going to to do business. I do not recommend anyone to go there. They do not know how to treat their customers and you will totally be wasting your time.

Never before have I been as appalled at a business as I am by Planet Honda in Union, NJ. My employee had gone to return her car and came back crying because of the way she was treated by ROBERT "BOBBY" WINDICH. In order to have the situation addressed and notify management, I called Planet Honda to speak to the president BILL FEINSTEIN. Within minutes it became clear that the disrespect is pervasive and comes from the top. While being screamed at by this man, he proceeded to call my employee a liar, would not allow me to get a word in edgewise and continued on a rant, screaming for a good twenty minutes. I will clearly never enter this establishment and would recommend that others run far away. I hope this is not representative of the larger Honda organization but encourage all potential customers to visit Planet Honda's YELP reviews before going. It is clear from the mass number of negative ratings and customer comments that this is an example of a much larger, ongoing problem and you are truly entering at your own risk.

DO NOT GO HERE! Biggest rip off ever and they try to scam you. My CRV was making a loud noise and they tried to tell me it was the water pump causing the noise and it needed to be replaced for $800 (along with a bunch of other things for a $1450 bill in total). I ended up taking it to Tony's Auto Repair in Scotch Plains where I was told there was absolutely nothing wrong with the water pump....something else was causing the noise and my bill only came out to $320.

I had a worst experience with Planet Honda. I live in South jersey and its around 90 min drive to this showroom. I had a call Tanisha who is a client advisor in the day and I had told her about my expectation since I had already visited local Honda dealers. I was told to visit in person to work it out on the numbers for Civic EXT. After hectic day at office me with my family and friends drove 1.5 hours to reach the showroom. Tansiha met us and introduced to someone (I dont remember the name) and the person was not aware of what car we are looking for. But when I had spoken in the morning, she had told that team will be aware of all details regarding my requirement and it will save minimum hour time to complete the deal.He asked the same questions again which I had already updated in the website Presented some number and we saw some extra charges getting added which was already covered in total MSRP. when I quoted other dealer price, he was very rude, he said my current quote with the other dealer is good and asked me to go there and closed the conversation (online they had given better, that was reason we drove all the way). All these happened in just 3 to 4 min and he was not ready to continue the conversation. We spent 3 hours in driving and paid tolls to talk to this guy for 3 min. He was behaving like they are giving car for free. Next day when I called back and explained the experience I was told that they will call me back and I did not hear anything after that. I have visited multiple dealers and this is the worst of all, definitely I will not recommend this dealer.

I went to Planet Honda 1st & then went to 8 dealerships after, only to return to Planet Honda & made my purchase of a certified pre-owned 2014 Honda Pilot. Ash handled me with respect, displayed patience & complete honesty. He honored the True Car Pricing with no problem & he made my experience the best experience EVER in purchasing a vehicle. I have purchased 5 vehicles in my lifetime & this was BY FAR the best experience in my entire life. I am very hard to impress & he surpassed the others sales persons in skill & professionalism. I will return to buy my daughter her first car next month ONLY because I trust ASH. When I arrived June 30, 2016, I didn't know what to expect. I left PA and drove the 2 hours to the Union, NJ and was overwhelmed by the inventory. I ALWAYS buy used and certified, so I was excited and happy to see that what I had researched was available and at a great price. Ash was a very easy salesman, was not pushy, and worked with me to find the right information, if he was unsure. I did not feel pressured, but knew I was leaving with a car. I was happy to find out my credit was acceptable and payments were lower than I anticipated. I returned two days later to pick up my 2013 Honda Pilot and expected an easy transition. Admittedly, it took longer than I wanted as my car wasn't clean, but I had the opportunity to complete my paperwork in the meantime, while I waited for the detail. I was hoping to return to PA earlier, but either way came home with my shiny new SUV. Thanks Ash! And I would return again for another purchase in the future. They had great prices...and easy transaction.

Went in for my first service. Made an appt in advance for what amounted to an oil change with tire rotation. A 15-20 minute service. Was told when I first arrived it would be 1hr 45min wait. It was later in the afternoon so most of the early services should have been done. I have never had to wait more than 1/2 hr at any place I've gone to for an oil change. When I asked why the wait was told the service would take an hour!!! It may be a "free" service as part of my purchasing the car there, but would rather pay and save my time. I will not be going back for any other services.

Unethical; unprofessional; inconsiderate of your time; rude; scheme; shady; one lie after another. I'm an architect with 780 credit score who runs 2 businesses each with there own small fleet of vehicles. When I needed to replace one I tried the TruCar website.What Planet Honda does is it buys (or is given) my contact information from trucar and sends me a quote for a vehicle in writing (via email but NOT via a certificate through the website) that they don't intend to actually meet. It's likely far below invoice but they will tell you anything just to get you in the door.I called to ask about hidden fees and was of course lied to. Yasmeen yelled at me and tried to give lecture me on some made-up law that says that I'm not allowed to send in my financial application via email so that they could prepare a contract and quote me a percentage rate for my corporate purchase. Obviously not true since this is done every day when you apply for a credit card by mail or by phone. She also pointed me towards their own online trade-in appraisal calculator that told me that they would give me $2,500-4,300 for my trade in. This is right from their website.Anyway, I cam in and all was a sham. They offered me $300 for my trade. They never intended to honor the emailed price since after that they want to add all these dealer options that you can't refuse such as window etching and nitro air for your tires (another $1,000). All a sham.

I lease every 3 years for the past 8 years and this time I didn't want to wait that long so I called Planet Honda and they scheduled me with Francis Duah, a senior salesperson. He was pleasant to work with. He has a great sense of humor, very attentive, knowledgeable. Along with him, Diana, his protege whom also was nice and knowledgeable and Chigbo whom I leased my very first car with and he has gotten promoted to sales manager since then due to his great work ethic. If you ever need to lease or finance a car, speak to no one else but these 3 people.

It is not a fluke that in recent months Planet Honda is abashed across internet with one star. I was skeptical but, I gave them the benefit of doubt (It's Honda after all, how bad can they get!). Their bait of low pricing (which was just another lie!), was lucrative enough for me to walk into their showroom. Dealing with Planet Honda was one of the most traumatic experiences of my life. I would like to call out that I am not a person who gets easily bogged down. I have dealt with tons of unpleasant situations in my life, but this was nothing close. I was threatened, bullied and even made to feel as a hostage in their showroom!! If that was not enough, they insulted my friend and my wife. Long story short - I was FORCED to lease a Honda CRV from them in May16. They refused to pay back my initial deposit of $3000 leaving me with no choice other than sucking it up and finalize the deal. Every car transaction is different and hence no point trying to parse out the individual details of what happened to me however to ensure that customers like you do not go through such an ordeal, let me pen down the key points of my experience:1.Advertise a package that they never plan to givea.What you see in the advertisement is nowhere where they even start. In fact the sales person does not even try to check whether you are eligible. My saleperson Immany on the face mentioned that no one gets these deal. So lets start with something practical. You tell yourself I travelled 20 miles for this xxxx.b.So bad is their reputation that not long back NJ Attorney Journal filed a suit against Planet Honda for multiple violations of the states Consumer Fraud Act. 2.Force you to accept their conditionsa.Key learning for me, never ever take the vehicle out of their premise, before you have the financial paper documents signed. I did the biggest blunder of doing that. And when I returned with my documents they said that Honda has changed your clause and hence we would have to increase your monthly lease by 16%. b.Dont take my words, google and you will find the undoctored reviews3.Extremely rude behavior to the extent of threatening a.I can understand that things/ deals may change sometimes however there is a way of communicating it and trying to work around it. When I tried to see how we can work around the new developments so none of us lose money because of this change, they simply passed their oversight on me and said that I have to go ahead with the 16% increase. They can't help me in anyways. b.When I ask them time to decide, they mention that We cannot let you leave this premise with our car. If you want to go, we can drop you at the next bus stopc.They made my wife and 4 yr old son come down to the showroom (we have only one car in the family so they had to take a hitch). Planet Honda asked for her documents at 7.30pm, she was in showroom at 8.15pm. Once she got in, they refused to process the papers saying that the Finance dept is now closed (didnt they know that at 7.30!?!?). My wife demanded why they asked her to come if the finance dept shuts off, they looked down upon her and smiled sarcastically. Not even a word of apology. It was extremely agonizing. d. When my friend, tried to make some middle ground between us, they shouted at him Who are you. I will throw you out of this dealership right now!! We were shocked at their language at audacity to bully their customers. 4.Lie on the facea.I am pretty detailed in my car purchases and have spoken to atleast 10 Car dealers in the past. I know that Car salesman are tough nuts to crack however most of them are not dishonest and bad people. The problem with Planet Honda is that some of their team members are extremely dishonest cheaters. Beware if you ever get to meet a sales manager named Sal. I would say he was 90% of my problem. b.One of the examples - Sal gives me an option of exiting the lease and tells me that I have to decide before the end of the day. I spend the whole day seeing how will I arrange for my travel if I have to handover my car that night and when I come back in in the evening loaning my friends car for a few days, he tells me that I no longer can exit the lease and would have to forfeit my complete advance ($ 3000). What a waste and that too he tries to play around with words pretending that he is a smart xxx.5.Unprofessional service 0% customer orientationa.Would ask you to come down multiple times. Once to drop your paper, once to drop your wifes paper, once to confirm your documentation etc.b.They even forcefully kept one key of my car till the time I did not sign the final financial papers6.Personal derogatory comments: This is finally what got me off. Being an immigrant is tough particularly when you have to go through so many documentation and processes. And then you have people like Sal who says it on your face I did not tell you to come to US. I was shocked and was furious but had to control myself. But if you have a temporary immigrant status like me do not ever go to Planet Honda. They know that you are tight handed and would not leave any stone in exploiting you.If you are reading this, please stay away from Planet Honda. Please heed to others' experiences and dont give them the benefit of doubt, like I did. They are not worth your time or money!

HAPPY! Ryan Mckenzie is a fabulous sales professional. My husband and I looked at CR-V-EX-Ls at a number of NJ dealers. I went in on my own to test drive and get a quote. Ryan was super friendly and gave me the best quote for the car I wanted (and Planet Honda had the color I wanted in stock). He made sure I was happy every step of the way. I told Ryan I would come by with my husband the next day, (on a super busy holiday weekend), so he said to call him so he would be ready when we arrived to see the car. He had the car ready to go (with the AC on as it was 90F) for our 2nd test drive. He didn't try to sell us any extra items or push us into anything we didn't want. My 1999 Mercury Tracer gave out on me and I was in desperate need of a car. Wound up at Planet Honda after reading positive reviews on the internet and there I met Ash and trainee Carl. I couldn't have asked for more. What started out as very overwhelming and surreal experience turned out to be one of the best experiences. Very comfortable atmosphere, very friendly and helpful almost as welcoming as family. I went from my 1999 Mercury to a 2012 Honda Civic that I absolutely love and all thanks to Ash. Thank you Planet Honda for fulfilling my desperate need. P.S. Carl seems to be a very up and coming salesman. Much luck to him!! So here it is 3 months later and while I do like the car I see now I overpaid by a lot and the fact that they will sell you a car and not even replace the nasty floor mats that I was promised and then just blown off by not only my salesman Ash but by others namely Sue Lerch who wont even return a phone call and Esther whatever her name is. All they want is the sale. Thats it!! So when they say they strive for excellence thats a joke. So no I DO NOT recommend this place. Sad :(

Although we knew pretty much what we wanted to buy and went prepared with information from Consumer Reports and Kelly Blue Book, we were open to considering other brands, wanted specific information on the new safety features available on cars, and of course, wanted a good price. We started our search at a dealership for a different brand of car, so that we could compare style and price, but we soon left there because the salesperson was neither knowledgeable, nor especially interested in answering our questions. The experience at Planet Honda was the complete opposite. Our sales person, Carlos Crispin, was friendly, knowledgeable, patiently answered our questions, and showed us a car that turned out to be exactly what we wanted on the first try and at a good price. This is the third time we purchased a car from Planet Honda, but this was the easiest of the three experiences. We went out today to begin the car search process, expecting that we would need to make several different trips and visit lots of different dealers, but it turns out we got what we wanted, at the price that we expected, in one visit and were able to drive away with our car after only a few hours.

I've gone to Planet Honda for a few service calls now. Even with the first appointment of the day, an oil change takes about 1.5 hours (7am - 8:30am). On my visit (5/26/16), the service rep told me "the mechanic says you need to replace your air filters". I had just replaced both the cabin and air filters myself in the last few months! When I told that to the service rep, he sheepishly said "Oh, you replaced them yourself......" Also I had just installed brand new custom floor mats, and there was a shoe shaped oil stain on the driver mat. Not a stellar visit for Planet Honda! At least I had a coupon for tire rotation.I'll probably continue to go to Planet Honda because it's convenient, but at least I know to take their recommended service with a grain of salt. Caveat Emptor.

I purchased my fourth Honda from here with Francis Duah. He is the best sales representative in the building. He is efficient and caring. He remembered me since I graduated from undergrad and he is very caring and determined to please me and make sure I walk out happy. Francis along with Chigbo Mbaekwe sales manager tries to make sure I leave with a car. Chigbo remembered me from my last leased car and made sure I left happy. Also Maggie Russ called me to convince me to stay with Honda for my fourth lease and that she would work a deal and have me out in a decent amount of time. She is the reason I stayed for another lease.

He was patient and really went beyond his duty to provide me with as much information possible to make the best choice for me. At no time did I get the notion that he was just trying to make a sale. I was in the market to purchase a car and have always owned a Honda. However I was in an 03' Honda and definitely wanted to upgrade. I researched all Honda dealerships in the surrounding area and noticed that planet was not too far from me. The first thing I did was Google planet to look at their reviews and ratings and came across Tony's name quite a few times about his care, attention to details, and his professionalism... Upon reading all his reviews and the reviews of other's, u decided planet sounded like a place that I would gladly do business with. Let me tell you. Those reviews, some over exaggerated and some on point... Did not disappoint me. i walked into planet Honda and when I was asked if I was being helped, I told them that I was looking for a car and asked if I could meet with Tony. Tony Ruiz was very courteous from beginning to end. He greeted me and made me feel comfortable about my decision to purchase a car as I was nervous. He listened to exactly what I wanted in a car and showed me a few. He went into detail about all the car gadgets and how they work and took his time. He was friendly, enthusiastic, professional. The entire process was easy and smooth and everyone treated me great. I came out with a great car, at a great price and a huge smile! My Mother wanted a new CRV. Being busy at work I asked her to go test drive a CRV so she could be sure it was the car for her. She went to another dealership and had a bad experience from the salesman. He seemed not to care, as she stated because "she was a woman and older". She asked me to accompany her to another dealer. We went to Planet Honda and met Frank Talarico. He took his time and explained every feature of the vehicle, even programming her phone into the Bluetooth. He took great car of my Mother, beat another price I had gotten online from another dealership by $250, and made the whole experience painless. Now Mom has a place she can bring her car for service and feel comfortable knowing she has a friend available there. Thank You Frank

When I arrived at Planet Honda I was greeted immediately by Ash, who ended up being the salesman that helped me find my car. We had some difficulty finding the car that I had originally come in for, but when we found out that the car had been pulled off the lot for body issues, Ash helped me find an equivalent vehicle (same year, almost the same mileage) and worked with me and my family to work the price to fit my budget. Ash was very friendly and put my interests first. He also worked with my timeline in terms of picking up the vehicle, coming in on his scheduled day off to help me finish the paperwork. A++ service.

I would never go back to Planet Honda.First of all, before I came to Planet Honda, I called them and made appointment for 3 pm. When we came, they only started talking to us 2 hours later. Then, when we start talking to the salesman, he said that they don't have the same promotion for leasing a car as they have on their website. We were returning 2013 Honda Civic and getting 2016 Honda Civic for lease. We had overage for miles which we had to pay. During signing of paperwork our salesman, his name is Jesus Olivares asked my husband if we want to pay for miles and we agreed to pay. Jesus went to check how many extra miles we have and we paid. Two weeks later we received a letter from Honda Finance and the bill for extra miles. I called Honda Finance and they said I have to talk to the dealership. I called Planet Honda, they transfered me to 5 different people and I was trying to explain the same thing to all 5 people. Finally, one of them said that our manager will call you back and she did. I spoke to Sue Leach and I explained to her what happened. She said that she has to review all paperwork and called me back the next day saying that after reviewing paperwork nothing can be done. She said "it looks like you didn't pay for miles'!" I requested a copy of paperwork where shows that we did not pay. She sent me a copy and something was scratched. They lied to us. This is the worst place ever. Now we have to pay to Honda Finance again.

My first contact was Monica in Internet sales. Pleasant and professional, she got me into the dealership. I met Anthony in the parking lot as I was walking in. The biggest smile and friendly greeting was my first impression from him. The test drive was underwhelming because it was only in the back roads around the dealership. Since we had already test driven the vehicle that was acceptable but probably would not have been if it was my first test drive. The negotiation process went smoothly with the help of Anthony Hartley and Joe Krynski. We worked with an "out the door price" so I didn't get caught up in all the miscellaneous fees involved in buying a car. They met an incentive offered by another dealer I had talked to. Most importantly I got the message that they wanted to make a deal from the start. They worked with me on a 2016 Honda Civic Coupe. I shopped around and got mixed comments about availability, demand, negotiability. Planet Honda had two models available to test drive when other dealerships had only one or were still waiting for delivery. Unlike other dealerships I contacted, there were no comments about how popular, new and hard to get this vehicle was. They had a "can do" attitude all along. After more research I needed to renegotiate the price we had agreed on when I put the deposit down. They worked with me on that as well. I felt treated fairly and like they wanted to do business with me. I would definitely come back to Planet Honda.

Upon walking through the door to the Planet Honda dealership on route 22, my brother and I were greeted with a handshake and soon after began our inquiry about the cars available that would meet our satisfaction. To no surprise the salesman who was showing me what the dealership has to over was very understanding with my specifications and very pleasant to deal with. Patient with my interests and although I expected to leave with a good car I was surprised with an even better offer which then had me leaving with a car that I'm 2x as happy with than the one I had intended to buy. Not to mention when I had difficulties using my ATM card for payment I was offered a ride to and from my bank to make the appropriate withdrawal twice without the slightest sign of irritation from Mr Ashraf Ghobrial, a very good man to see if you're ever to visit Planet Honda on NJ state route 22. I am Dwayne and I highly recommend you take a visit.

I am so glad that I came to Planet Honda this past week. Me and my family have been shopping for a vehicle for weeks. When we arrived we were greeted by the salesman Aladdin, he was very courteous and extremely knowledgeable about the cars we were interested in. The sales process went very smoothly and he worked out a price for us. Needless to say I purchased my vehicle and so far so good.
