I live in Texas and was in the market for a used Audi. Ran in to one with the right specs, color and price on their site. One bad thing about the car...it was located in Ohio. Reached out to the dealer to inquire and talked with Todd. Being that I didn't have plans to make the trip to Ohio to see/drive the car in person I had tons of questions and request. Todd and his manager went above and beyond to work with me on the price of the vehicle and also to guarantee me that the car I would be buying was exactly as described by them and their website. After several conversations via text and phone we agreed on a deal. They were even nice enough to put me in contact with a shipping company that delivered the car in perfect condition. Can not say one bad thing about the experience. For those in Perrysburg and nearby cities, Perrysburg Automall should always be your first stop when looking for a car.

i just ended a lease with Ford, they double the monthly price on a new similar vehicle. I left drove up the road and just popped in to see what was on the GMC lot. I already own a GMC, so I was open to looking. Before we knew it we left with a GMC Terrain and Seirra. Everyone worked nicely with us. And I just had my first service oil change with them, I like it is free and free tire rotation. Which i scheduled by email as they contacted me when it was about time to get it done. The service rep was absolutely hospitable and showed me to the waiting room. There is good coffee and water available to guest. Television and magazines and the seats are also comfortable for a short visit while you wait. So far so good :)

I recently had quite an experience returning home on I-75 Northbound where I ran over something in the roadway in heavy traffic. My tire went down immediately and required careful maneuvering to get to the side of the road where I started to replace the damaged wheel, tire and wheel cover on my 2014 GMC Terrain. A considerate gentleman stopped near me and helped me complete the replacement and even aided me to get bsck onto the roadway. From there I made my way north to the Ed Schmidt GMC dealership where I received fantastic care from the Service Representative and the Mechanic involved in the actual parts replacements. (I had some hidden damage to my wheel cover and rim.) The end result was the replacement of my damaged tire only. I have road tested the vehicle and have found no further work is necessary.I feel the dealership went out of their way to make sure I was safe and secure with the repairs that had to be made. I will not hesitate in returning to this service department when further maintenance or emergency work is necessary.

Scott Cooke on the Volkswagon side made turning in my leased Passat as painless as possible and even went the extra mile to assist me in transferring my personal items into my GMC Yukon that was in for service and a detail. Scotty and his team did an amazing job detailing my Yukon. Honestly it looked better than when me and my husband bought it. Reba (GMC Service desk) made sure to recommend all of the appropriate service items for my Yukon knowing that I would be driving it full time now after turning in my lease.I always feel like the people at Ed Schmidt have my best interests at heart, and that is why I continue to return to them for all of my service and car buying/leasing needs.

I was looking for a vehicle that was a little bigger than my Tiguan. I drove the Terrain and it was the one. My sales man was Scott Cook. I have now purchased FOUR vehicles from Scott. The representative that assisted me did a great job in listening to my concerns and assisting me in a possible recourse. The only reason that I did not give a complete 5 stars is due to the fact that I had a few things done, including my front brakes and rotors. I have now had my vehicle back for about 2 weeks, and it is squeaking pretty loud. I will be taking the vehicle in to check my power steering and I will see if the rotors need to be smoothed because I do know that you may expect a little squeaking sometimes at first, but not loud squeaking that you still hear after a few days.All in all, I do recommend their service department because I think they do a great job in meeting your needs and working with you.

We saw a Honda Fit that our daughter liked on cars.com that was at Perrysburg Automall. My first phone call got me connected to salesman, Todd Ritchey, who was very helpful. I asked a few questions and he went out to look over the vehicle. He gave me a very thorough go over of the vehicle within 10 minutes and answered all my questions along with giving me much more detail............. (We had a bad experience at different long distance dealer when we asked if the car had been smoked in. Their response, "might be a slight smell that it had been." We drove 2.5 hrs to see it and when we opened the door it was extremely obvious a chain smoker had lived in it!)............ Todd was completely opposite of the other dealer. After hearing his review of the car and seeing the pictures (which were many and excellent), we made a deal over the phone. Funny thing, they were about 8 miles from the other bad experience dealer! We drove the familiar route again and enjoyed a very good experience............. Todd was very helpful and when he showed us the car I was amazed that all of his detailed answers and descriptions were spot on! After a quick test drive to confirm the deal, we had a smooth purchasing experience............. If you are looking long distance (or just close by) I would highly recommend them. And if you get to work with Todd, I think you too will enjoy a straight up and friendly sales experience!!............ (note - I gave repair quality 3 stars as the dealership had installed a new front bumper as it was traded in damaged. The headlight, hood, bumper alignment on one side had room for improvement)

I noticed a small leak over the last couple months I thought was a transmission leak. I asked them to look at during Tuesday's oil change. Ended up the oil filter during the last oil change at your facility was not completely tightened and was dripping. That was a little disturbing. Tuesday experience other than that was fine. Tom Finken does good work. He is very good with customers.

I am always welcomed the minute I arrive. The service members take the time to go over the service that will be done. I usually wait in their waiting area, which has a tv and drinks. When the service is finished, the service member will come and get you from the waiting room. They will give you any recommendations that the mechanic has for your vehicle. And, your car is washed! Tom is always super friendly!

I had to get my oil changed and I had a seminar to attend in Perrysburg that started at 830 am and ended at 12pm. I booked an appointment for oil change for 130pm because that's all they had open at the time, but they said I could drop my vehicle off and pick up when ever. So to make a long story short, I dropped off at about 8am and asked that if they were able to get it in veggie my appointment then please do. They told me that there was some certified service that should also be done and I said ok let's do that too. I go to the seminar and when I get get done I go to the rest room, as I'm walking out I get a phone call telling me that my vehicle is done. It was a great feeling and relief to actually get some good service. Thank you Ed Schmidt

Our experience with getting a lease was remarkable! Our salesman, Todd Ritchey, was exceptional in providing the best customer service and answering all our questions, which at times, were many. He made himself available to fit our schedule. As a first time leasee, he made the experience enjoyable. I took my Impala in for the key recall. When I picked my car up neither key would start the car because the new key covers came down too far on the key and would not let either key go all the way into the ignition. Neither key had been tested obviously, yet the service rep this had happened before. I was told they would take car of the problem. I had to call the service dept. back to find out if they needed to order keys, which they did. Terrible customer service and terrible repair service. Will not use this dealership ever again.

I would highly recommend Ed Schmidt GMC to anyone. I came to Ed's blindly after finding a vehicle in their stock that fit my needs. Rob Johnson, the sales manager, worked with me remotely to confirm the details of the vehicle and prepare me to trade in my existing car. Rob set up a convenient time for my wife and I meet with Matt Ovens at the dealership. Matt showed us the vehicle and took us for a test drive highlighting the most important features of the truck. Matt then worked with us to value our trade and walk us through all the paperwork. Matt was friendly, knowledgeable and made us feel completely comfortable with our purchase. The rest of the team at Ed's was friendly and welcoming. They worked steadily to ensure our process was expedient but not rushed. We will definitely look for another chance to work with Matt, Rob and the rest of the team at Ed Schmidt.

Tom Fitkin really took care of me. I went in to have couple of recalls to be taken care of and while there I told Tom that I just bought this car. I told me there is one part missing from the rear wiper and a handle that you use to pull down the tail gate door was coming loose. Tom said all of this will take about 2 and 1/2 hours. I was very nervous walking into a car dealership having never financed a car before, my fiance was with so I thought he would help. Andy Parish walked up to us we were browsing through vehicles in the showroom. From the very beginning Andy made me feel so comfortable and not pressured into having to make a decision on the vehicle I wanted or if I wanted to finance or lease. Upon entering the showroom, the manager of the staff greeted me before setting me up with a salesman. I appreciated the fact that the manager took time to meet each customer that entered the showroom. I worked with Rocky Rochette en route to purchasing my new vehicle. Rocky worked in an efficient manner, but I never once felt as if he was pressuring me to make a purchase. He was knowledgeable of the vehicle and was willing to answer the many questions I had. I am very pleased with my purchase and Ed Schmidt has been very prompt about completing all required paperwork following my purchase. Nice friendly Dealership and consumer friendly waiting area. I especially appreciate the table area where people like me can spread out and work while they wait.Employees say 'hi' as they walk by. Our family Sales Representative, Jeff T, made it a point to come out to the service area when he saw me checking in and also stopped by the waiting room check on my 'progress' and then went to talk to the service rep himself and came back and updated me. Regular maintenance was done and a gas filler problem was resolved (I stopped on the way home and filled it up with no problems). I had a 9:00 appointment for an oil change. (most service stations have 'just drop in' oil change service...). I was helped at 9:15, but my car wasn't available for 2.5 hours. That seems like an awfully long time for an oil change and tire rotation, especially since I had an appointment. The staff was very courteous, and it was over the holidays, so maybe they were short-handed, (a call off or two?), but I have a hard time getting over the fact that I had an appointment, and other work evidently took priority.

I was treated very well throughout my stay, and a couple of updates were given to me on how things were going. I was told that one of my concerns was a normal noise. They did not find my radiator leak, but saw on the computer when my coolant levels were last down. Next time the level is down, I will take it to them without topping it off. Then they may be able to find the problem. I got a free car wash, inside and out.

We bought a 2011 Jetta in Feb. 2012 (2011 May: manufactured, 2011 Aug: arrived at dealership). It was a certified pre-owned car. Actually, that was a demonstration car at dealership for 6 months. We were happy with Scott but found that he made a mistake about the 3 years of warranty and 2 years of extended warranty. Three things. 1) The starting day of the warranty was not the sales day as he had mentioned. 2) The starting mileage was not scratched out, 5000 miles, as he had mentioned. 3) The two years extended warranty was not bumper to bumper as he mentioned. There was a $50 deductible when we tried to fix the car with a problem (i.e., headlight switch could not be turned off, so the battery died two times) in Oct. 2014. We stopped by again to meet the manager, Nick Ort at 7pm. He gave us a letter of exemption of the $50 deductible on Ed Schumidt service after waiting 1.5 hours because of Nicks conference call till 8:55pm, on Monday (It has $50 deductible when we use a different service). We lost 6 months, 15000 miles worth of warranty based on the new fixed warranty which we did not expect when we talked with Nick. People can make a mistake, but I am uncomfortable with the process of handling the mistake. I appreciate Scott because I think he worked hard as much as he could have done but the general manager did not do as much as he could do. Our car has had small problems once a year. I may not need to visit many times for last of warranty period. I just feel upset about their attitude, not correcting at once and making a deal behind my back at 9pm, closing time. There was no time to discuss the warranty and what we should have had. My car, Jetta, has a good cornering. I enjoy driving because of that. Therefore, I do not care for visiting service to fix small problems (Engine light on, headlights on and leaking tire). VW lost a future customer who satisfied with their company because of a dealership.

I took my GM vehicle in at 7:30 am for some recall work. I was told it was a 3 hour job. I picked my vehicle up at 4:30 pm with only two of the three recall corrections completed. This is why I avoid dealer service when ever possible.It is not reliable.

He was very responsive and answered all my questions and concerns as quick as possible. He was very honest and pointed out any potential flaws that could cause concern (which were very minor, but sometimes pictures can always be decieving, and a car can look much nice than it actually is), not in this case. They confirmed that the car was still available since I found that not always to be the case. We received a follow up phone call from the dealership inquiring about our interest which was high. My wife and daughter visited the dealership and had a great experience. They test drove the car and wanted me to see it before making a final decision. I visted the dealership with both my wife and daughter and we took a second test drive. From there we made a decision to purchase the vehicle. They worked with us on some repairs that needed to be made and worked with us on the price to get it into the window we were looking to spend. Overall a great experience!
