Eric Gibson is an excellent salesperson. He listens to your "wants and needs" then skillfully meets them. His ability to find what you need at a reasonable price (with no hassle) is exactly what dealerships need. I highly recommend Eric to anyone shopping for a new or used car at Pearsons Honda Dealship! He won't disappoint you!

I live over an hour away .... I spoke with Chase over the phone and VIA Text message a few times about purchasing a new vehicle. I advised him I was a serious buyer and I wanted the bottom dollar price as I had done my research. We arrived to look at and hopefully purchase our new vehicle.... Everything went fine until we started taking prices ... The initial best deal was the "STICKER PRICE" ... SERIOUSLY!!!! Its not like we walked in to make a purchase before doing any research. .... FYI Pearson Honda the internet and the many car buying research websites on the Internet are actually used. If coming back with the sticker price wasn't enough the salesperson wanted to argue with me and justify the game they were playing.... OK let's play... After negotiations to what I thought was a fair deal, I kindly got up, gathered my belongings and went to West Broad Honda and had a wonder buying experience.

While purchasing a car is never a completely stress free experience, this was as close to that as I have ever had. We purchased our 2016 Odyssey from Joe England this past week, and it was amazingly easy from start to finish. Short of the normal hiccups in the process, this was as painless as it comes. Joe was professional and courteous from start to finish. There was no pressure placed on us, and we never felt hunted by a car salesman. We could not be happier with the overall customer service. We absolutely LOVE our new van. I would recommend this dealership and our salesman to anyone! Go see Joe England! You won't regret it.

I came to Pearson to look at the 2016 Civics. I meandered around the lot for a while looking at the vehicles and was surprised not to be jumped by a sales person (quite refreshing!). As I made my way towards the office, Greg Gohlke greeted me at the door with a smile and a handshake. Greg was extremely knowledgable about all of the vehicles on their lot and quickly helped me narrow down the exact trim level I was looking for. After a quick test drive, I was not leaving without that vehicle! As this was my first ever car-buying experience, Greg very clearly articulated the steps in the buying process and compared the pros and cons versus leasing. We quickly determined that a lease was a better fit for me, and once again Greg was a great resource having worked with leases quite a bit in his career. The entire process was pretty effortless. I could not be happier with my experience at Pearson Honda. From the time we walked in the door to the time we left, we felt like we were treated honestly, fairly, and with respect. I will definitely be back for my next vehicle!

WOW where do I start? I had been in contact with the sales associate Cindy Radford about a used Honda Odyssey van they have for sale. She described the vehicle as "looking brand new on the inside and out...just like any new Odyssey we have on the lot". She even sent me a few pictures that she took with her phone. She wanted me to hurry up to look at it because when they get a great used Honda Odyssey van in like this they do not hang around long. My husband and I took off from work yesterday early..made arrangements for our daughter to stay with someone and drive the HOUR AND A HALF to look at this van with the intention of buying it. When we arrive and she gives us the keys to go outside to look a the van I thought there was a mistake. There was no way that this lady let my husband and I drive that distance and the van staring back at me has major damage behind the drivers side tire and has been keyed in the other side. She explains when she pulled the van up beside the dealership that it did not look like that and goes to get her manager. I am thinking ok maybe someone sideswiped this car in their parking lot and did not tell them. My husband being an Engineer on a Menhaden boat does have some knowledge of how things work and took one look at the rust building up around the damage and calls b/s on the fact that this just happened. The Used Car manager Mike comes out with this blah blah story about how he has only been there for two weeks and wants to make it right. He suggest we look at another van they have. Thirty five minutes later they are still looking for the keys to "the other van". We left. Lesson learned. Now here is a lesson for you.1. Do not lie to customers.2. Do not try to pass junk off as being "certified"3. Teach your salespersons to always have a back-up vehicle ready to go if what your customer came to look at does not work out. Thirty five minutes looking for the keys is someone pulling out of the parking lot. This place is a joke along with the personnel. My advise is to keep driving to the next dealership. I would not believe a word these people say.Sheila E. BaldersonWarsaw, VA#shouldhavejuststayedlocal#don'ttakeacountrygirlforafool

The sales man comes back and tells us he got us approved for the car without the trade that Honda wasn't going to eat the difference of our payoff. NOBODY even tried to help us. The second time we was told it was the AC compressor and it would be $700 . Now mind you they didnt find a issue the first time but a month later now its the AC compressor . A month after replacing the compressor now the AC is gone out again. Thats $1000 in a month . I think its time to call in some legal help if the GM of this location cant help. REPAIR or REFUND.

For several weeks, I had been searching for a gently used Honda Fit but was having little success finding one that met the criteria I had in mind. I live in NC but decided to extend my search and found a candidate at Pearson Honda - a 3 hour drive away. My inquiries and questions about the vehicle were fully answered by Barry, the internet sales manager, via several e-mails and phone calls. He quoted me an itemized out the door price quickly with no hemming or hawing, explained what the "certified pre-owned" designation meant in great detail, and answered all my questions about the condition of the car. Based on this, I drove up to the dealership to purchase the Fit. From the minute I stepped onto the lot, I was greeted in a genuinely friendly, non-pushy manner. The purchase process went smoothly from start to finish. Joe England was the sales consultant I worked with and he was beyond excellent in going over the car with me and making sure I had all questions answered. I was out in 2 hours and driving my Fit home. I hate walking on dealership lots as a rule, but this was an EXCELLENT purchase experience.

My wife and I recently stopped by to check out the CR-V to get an idea of what we would like to purchase in the future. We were greeted by Roy Rivera, who proceeded to get information from us to see if this car would best meet our needs. During our visit, Roy made us feel very comfortable and did not pressure us in the least bit. He listened to our needs and was able to find us the car that best worked for us without trying to overstretch our budget. After showing us the CV-R, we found that the Pilot was a better fit for our family. The next day, we returned to purchase the Pilot, but we ended up purchasing two cars! Roy was very patient and understanding of our needs. He stayed late after closing so that we could finish the deal the same day. Roy Rivera is hands down the best car dealer I have ever worked with. I wish others could be more like him. I recommend Roy to anyone looking for a low-stress, car browsing or buying experience. My family and I are very happy with our new cars that will keep up safe for many years to come!

Pearson is my local dealership and was the first one I visited. I stopped in on a Monday and ask the, to give me the best price on a 2015 Accord LX model. They gave me the MSRP and said that's the best price - which must be a joke or insulting my intelligence. For the next couple days, I called West Broad and Colonial Internet sale department, they both gave me, as their first price quote, about $3,000 lower than Pearson. I tried to to negotiate with Pearson and was very clear that they need to do better market research and be more competitive. This was a painful experience. We went back and forth serveral times. Throughout the entire negotiation, I was very clear on the phone and my emails that I'm only discussing about "Out the Door" price. After two days, they finally agreed to match the price from the other dealers. But after I tried to clarify, they said the price does not include tax and fees. Again, they were trying to play games. I decided to purchase the car from Colonial on the Friday.Dearships need to understand that consumers are much more informed now with the Internet. The selling strategy of the eighties and nineties doesn't work anymore. For most car buyers, by the time they stopped in the showroom or pick up the phone, they'd already done a lot of research or even know exactly what they should pay for the car.

I purchased a used car through this dealership after I had determined what I wanted and was willing to pay. The purchase process for paperwork and getting multiple people to process it was absolutely painstakingly slow (over 3 hours) on a Monday afternoon in the middle of the month. At the end of the day I am pleased with the vehicle and the price which is why I bought it but have major issues with the service department. Vehicle had several minor issues that needed addressing and were still under warranty. Before the sale they took care of everything quickly through a different dealer since it wasn't a Honda. After the sale, several other issues were noted that needed repair. They initially suggested I should take it to the other dealer myself. I challenged them on the "Pearson promise" and they finally accepted the vehicle and would take it to dealer that day. My issue is a week later I still didn't have my car. Repeated calls received no response so I called the other dealership to find out the vehicle hadn't been taken there until 3 days after I dropped it off. Really? Service department continued to avoid my calls after that and delayed, delayed, delayed with no honesty or response. I dealt with Clint and Waylon. Then outright lied about it after I already knew the status from other dealer. I had to escalate my issue before it received attention. Advice- Do your research before going there and stick to your guns on price, they aren't moving as many cars as they claim. They will do the standard pressure sale but draw line and be willing to walk away. It is just a car. If you get a car you like, at the price that you are comfortable with, go for it but take it elsewhere after that.

Pearson should have been my first and only stop. Worked with Donald Johnson and Joe Norris to purchase a 2015 EX-L Odyssey and my wife and I couldn't be happier. As a future father of twin girls I had to convince my wife into purchasing a mini van. I shopped all around town and Pearson not only had the best price but the best customer service. Pearson didn't try to "bash" the competition or other brands like the other dealerships. Worked with Joe Norris mostly via email. Very easy, convenient and professional. Pearson didn't have the color my wife wanted, but Joe did some work and had the car on the lot within 24 hours. I was very impressed by the dealership. Donald Johnson was very very professional and Pearson made the whole process very easy. We went after work and were out of the door within 2 hours. 30 minutes of that time was Donald sitting in the car showing my wife how to use all the features including the bluetooth, she was very excited. I am very pleased with my buying experience and would recommend Pearson to anyone looking for a new or used car.

Actually leased a vehicle but the entire process was excellent service. We dealt with Joe Norris, Greg Gohlke, and Tyler Goins. All three were excellent and provided very professional customer service. Side note: I have dealt with several auto groups in the past, the name Pearson is above all others.

I am so glad that we came to Pearson Honda. Roy Rivera was kind and helpful, but he never pressured us. We first visited just to do a little fact finding. He didn't try to pressure us into making a purchase that day, but guided us through some of the options at Pearson that fit our parameters. We looked around and ended up coming back. We knew what we wanted and once again, Roy did not try to pressure us into something else. We were surprised that the stress was relatively low. Thank you for changing the car buying process by allowing people to take their time and think through such a major purchase!

I had a horrible visit with a previous Honda dealership and came to Pearson a little skeptical. But Nathan Almond was not only willing to turn my experience around, but was able to find me a car within budget and stayed late until I signed paperwork. So easy and I got a great deal. Go to him, he is awesome.

I went there one evening after work to look at a used 2012 GMC Terrain SLT-2. I had already been to another dealer and had several more I was looking at before I was making a decision. I dealt with Greg, who at first came across very pushy. I do not like pushy sales people. I know what I want and what I will pay and you cannot bully me into a purchase. They kept making offers and insisting it was the "final" offer. I kept refusing. Finally, about 30 min before they closed, they came with one "final" offer, saying it would only be good if I bought the car RIGHT THEN. I declined, thanked him for the offer and told him I needed to check out other options.I came back the next day, after going to other dealers. I wanted to discuss the car again, including some minor issues. I asked him about the deal and of course, last night's "final offer" was suddenly good again. I told him there were a few dirty spots on the interior that I wanted clean. He stated they would clean. The buying process TOOK HOURS. Even though I already had financing through the credit union and had already picked the car and the price. I spent most of my time "waiting my turn" to get paperwork done. This is where I am not happy. Before I signed papers, before I said ok to the deal...I asked if the car came with both keys. He told me yes. However, once paperwork was signed and I was putting my belongings in the car, suddenly "he couldn't find" the second key. This was upsetting, bc a new key/fob can cost several hundred dollars to get from the dealer. Had he been honest with me from the get-go, I would have further negotiated the price to make up for having to get a 2nd key. Also, once the dealer paper floor mats were removed, I noticed the car had NO FLOOR MATS. No floor mats! How does that happen?! So now, in addition to buying a 2nd car key/fob, I have to buy floor mats for the front and back of the vehicle.Another thing- they did a CRAPPY job cleaning the car. It looks like they literally just sprayed it with water and scented the inside with air freshener. The smudges I asked to be clean- weren't. The interior was barely vacuumed, when you put your hands in the creases of the back seat- completely full or dirt and sand. I understand it was a busy saturday, but come on. I just bought a $22K vehicle from you, the least you could do is clean it a little better. Also, he made a comment "we are only suppose to give you a half tank for used cars, but I gave you almost a full tank." WHAT?Overall, I am happy with the car. I got a decent deal and I love the vehicle itself. I am not happy with the fact they lied about the key, hid the fact that there were no floor mats, and did a crappy job cleaning it.

My 2012 CR-V was totaled, and I had only minor air bag injuries. That was enough right there. Then our insurer called with the settlement figures, and I was amazed at the value the car had retained. Add in Mr. Rivera who believed me when I said I had 30 minutes for a test drive and then did all of the footwork while I went to dinner with friends, an excellent service department, inexpensive financing, and the Honda from Pearson was a done deal.

My husband and I do not work well with the stereo-typical salesperson. We like to get information straight and accurate in one chance. Joe England and Daphne Glover did this for us. They heard what we wanted. spent time explaining the different options and features with the 2015 Pilot , and were just generally kind and proactive in getting us the vehicle we wanted. They were both wonderful and got us in and out of the dealership with exactly what we wanted. We would highly recommend this sales team! Connie & Dolph Lathrop

I went shopping for new Accord for my wife. They gave me a ridiculous price and trade value! Sales management is a complete joke. Left and went to Colonial Honda and received a honest price for the deal. They gave me a quote that was $3800 better than Pearson without telling them about the numbers Pearson had given us. Don't waste your time shopping at Pearson Honda!!! Colonial will now get my service business on our other Honda.

Was going to bring the car in for service, but not very workhour friendly. No service on Saturday, does not open doors a little early, and although they offer a special golf while you wait, I was told I don't qualify as if is only for the high $ services / repairs, not normal service. So although I might wait 2 - 3 hours... well, I guess it's not really for customer service, just profit maximization. I took my car to Colonial Honda on I95 on a Saturday.

I was shopping for a Honda Fit. When I first got there, it didn't seem busy, but I had to wait a while before anyone would speak with me. I spoke with a very nice man from Florida who was there as part of their mother's day weekend incentive. It was unclear though what his role was. He gave my daughter $10 in coins, made some small talk, and then sent me over to a salesman named Victor. It was clear to me early on that Victor felt it was a waste to spend time with me, making me feel like I wasn't an important customer because I couldn't afford a more expensive car. He took me on a test drive and seemed very bored with my questions and comments. I asked him if the Fit had navigation capabilities and he said "no." (I later read in a catalog that you can indeed order a Fit with Navigation.) I asked him what were the major differences between two of the Fits he had on the lot and he wouldn't answer, but instead directed me to the catalog to compare the base model and the sport model. When I was about to leave, I realized Victor hadn't given me my driver's license back. I went back in to get it and it took 15 minutes for the people inside to find Victor and return my license to me. There was no apology for the mistake or the time I spent waiting for it and frantically searching through my purse. What was especially odd was that after I left, there was no follow-up call. It was very clear to me that Pearson Honda as represented by Victor had no interest in putting any effort into selling me a car that day or any other day. I went to West Broad Honda the next day and my experience there was completely different, from the salesman greeting me as soon as I pulled into the parking lot to the friendliness and enthusiasm he showed to me during every step of the process. That dealer and salesman made me feel that my car purchase was just as important to them as someone who was buying a more expensive car. I will be telling everyone I know NOT to go to Pearson, but to go to West Broad instead.

The service department said the serpentine belt would be covered under manufacturer's warranty, so I took it in. They discovered that a rock was stuck in it, meaning that it wouldn't be covered under the manufacturer's warranty. Lucky for us,they did the repair for free since they originally said it was under warranty. AWESOME! Thanks so much!

I am very unsatisfied with Pearson Honda. I used then for service to change my CV joints and the next day one of the CV joints broke in half. I missed a half of a day of work and all they would give me was part of my 1 tow bill ($14.00). I wrote the General Manager a letter and never received a reply. A few months ago I was having clutch problems and took my car in for repair. They really ripped me off and didn't fix the problem. To top it off they tried to get more money. I had the car repaired at another location for a lot less money.00 All though they are very close to my house I will not step foot on their property again and have purchased my last Honda.

I had my car in for and oil change and new tires. Unfortunately, it was hit by another car before I picked it up. The manager told me that another customer had hit my car, and that I'd have to take up the claim with this customer.I informed him that I wasn't interested in confronting an unknown 3rd party, especially since I hadn't witnessed the accident, and wouldn't be able to make any assertion about what had happened.I reminded him that by taking possession of my car, his dealership had created a bailment which holds it accountable for damage that occurs. He insisted that there was nothing that he could do.Even if the manager is technically correct that his dealership was able to avoid creating a bailment, it's a pretty horrible way to treat a customer. The right response should have been, "We're sorry that your car was damaged while it was in our care. We'll have a loaner for you while we get your car fixed." They could have then taken up a claim with the person that hit my car afterwards. For what it's worth, I have spent about a hundred thousand dollars at this dealership over the past few years.

My buying experience at Pearson was, by far, the best I've had. I was stationed in Iraq and wanted to buy a car over the internet or by phone so the car could be waiting for me with all accessories already installed when I returned; all I wanted to do was to sign paperwork and leave with my new car. The sales people I dealt with at other dealerships did not take me seriously and did not want to work the deal. When I emailed Pearson Honda, the experience was different.Barbara emailed me back right away, found out exactly what I wanted and then found the car for me. It was not at the dealership, but she found it for me. I followed up with a phone call just to reinforce the fact that I was serious about the deal. We discussed price and she agreed to my terms; it was a fair price. I was surprised to get any money off the next year's model when I bought my '07 Accord EX-L V6 w/ navigation and sports package in '06. Barbara took pictures of my new car, with the plastic still on it, and emailed them to me so I could see them in Iraq. When I got back and then arrived at the dealership, all of the people greeted me warmly. I met Barbara, drank some coffee in her office, test drove my car, did a walk-around with Barbara while she showed me all of the options, and then saw the finance guy to sign the paperwork. No pressure to buy extended warranty or other extraneous things; I was asked, but that was it.I drove out of there with the car I wanted. It was reasonably priced. I felt comfortable at the dealership. There was no waiting around while the salesman went to negotiate with his manager. I could have walked in and walked out with my car in less than an hour. I stayed as long as I did only because the ambience was comfortable and friendly. Of all of the places I've purchased cars, this is, by far, the best in customer service. The people there value our time. They don't play games. I highly suggest buying from this place, especially if Barbara is your sales person. If I'm still in Virginia or close to it when I buy my next car, I will definitely buy from there.

Bought a used Honda from Pearson in late 2006. Very positive experience. Salesman was very patient and entertained numerous test drives to make sure I found a car I liked. I always felt as thoug I was being treated fairly. The only taint to the experience was haggling on the price (a bit different from buying a brand new car, which is a bit of a commodity). I definitely feel I got a decent price, but didn't get a "steal" or anything. I've had the car one month now and it has proven to be a good one!The closing part of the deal was very pleasant and took only 10 minutes max. The Finance guy (Phil) was very courteous and knowledgeable.I could not be much happier with my car, and everyone at the dealership smiles and says "Hi" to me whenever I pop in to buy accessories or parts!
