The gentleman who helped me through the finace process was also very helpful. He was able to get me a very agreeable finance terms and explained everything to me. We went in for an oil change on our Colorado Truck and while we waited we went out and looked at trucks. We wanted to upgrade to a larger truck. Jordan picked out the perfect truck for us. Jordan is perfect to work with. He has a good sense of humor. He follows up with you as to how we are loving the truck and asked if there are any problems. He was able to get us an owners manual and extra keys they found for the truck.

Jordan gaul was more than amazing!, he got me the exact car I wanted even when we didn't come to agreements on my first visit he actually took the time to find my car and a week later he called me! He called me back that's what I call determination to provide great service. He was extremely polite, respectful, and shown a genuine concern on what we were asking for. I was recommended to him from a a good friend and I couldn't think him enough for introducing me to Jordan! When I had went in to get a new car, as normal, people were telling me to look around. Pat McGrath has a big name here in Cedar Rapids, and it may not always be a good thing. But I stuck to my gut. I didn't pull into Chevyland to buy my car from a big name dealership. I pulled into Chevyland for one certain salesman. Kevin Starks. I needed a car within two days. I was getting it on my own, not a lot of money to put down, and no one to consign for me. Let's just say it wasn't the easiest. But Kevin didn't just say, "I'm sorry but this is impossible". Instead he made it possible. Within two days I was driving off in my own 2012 Cruze and I couldn't have been happier, especially with the cards we were dealt.When asked the question, would you refer this dealership, I hesitate to answer. The reason being. I would recommend ANY dealership Kevin worked for, not Chevyland alone, although I personally have never had a problem with them either. Kevin is just a very passionate salesman an unlike the rest, he makes sure he puts his effort into getting you exactly what you want, for the best price (not the best price for his pocket!)

What I thought would be a very stressful day for me in trying to find a car, turned out to be quite the opposite. Kevin really listened to what I wanted and put absolutely no pressure on me to buy. He only showed me cars that I wanted to see and really made sure I got what I wanted and got me something that was going to last a long time. It's been almost two years now since I purchased my Malibu, and I still get hand written cards in the mail from Kevin just making sure everything is still going great. I've had no problems at all with the car and it has really been the perfect choice. I highly recommend Kevin to anybody looking for a new car.

My husband and I went to McGrath's by mistake and decided to look around when Nate came out to talk to us. We told him we were just comparing prices he said that was fine and handed us his card. We went back when they had their big sale and everyone we encountered was awesome. Nate and Sean were awesome to deal with. Nate stayed with us the whole day and we didn't leave until 8:00pm he was still there even though he had flooding going on at his house. The sales associate, Nate First, was my first contact. I came to the dealership just to look. He was very patent as we drove 3 different vehicles. You hear patience is a virtue...but I don't have any. I walked in after emailing off and on for over 2 months with no action on my part. Nate was all smiles when I finally did come in. I was treated with the utmost respect and he worked quickly and diligently to make sure I was taken care of. I never thought I'd be approved for any car, let alone used, but never did I think that a "friend" like Nate existed in the car buying world. He jumped through hoops like we were family and after hours upon hours of work he had good news for me. Best news I've had in awhile. I am now the proudest owner of a 2016 Chevy Cruz thanks to him. poor communication..... Dealership staff could give us no information about are vehicle, took several phone calls and several hours before they found my car in their body shop .... The loaner car they gave us had a tire blow out on it . Spent an hour gettin my McGrath loaner car fixed at Rydell Chevy in Waterloo ....poor experience overall .... Won't buy another new vehicle at McGrath ...

We were looking for a new Equinox. The sales man told us that he wanted to show us one that was more expensive than the one we had picked out. It had more options than the one we had been looking at. He then showed us the price of the one that he showed us and that pretty much locked in our choice. It was a nice change of pace to not have to battle over the new car price.

It was an over all fair experience. Everyone was very friendly and they did a lot to make sure it'd fit my budget, only issues; I had made my appointment for a specific vehicle and that vehicle wasn't even at the lot- so I wasn't able look at the one I was there for. Also they only showed me one vehicle after I had asked multiple times to see different ones; their reasoning was my price range. Love the Equinox I ended up getting but, don't like the way they handle some other aspects of the process.

The entire showroom was professional, but yet projected an air of enjoyment for being there, by the employees. I would revisit this dealership for purchase options in the future.

I can't say enough great things about Pat McGrath Chevyland. First, I was late to my first appointment but when I walked in the door there were multiple people standing there waiting to help me. After a long night of looking and test driving cars I finally found the perfect one. Nate First never doubted my ability to purchase a car (which would be common since I'm 19 years old, and a full-time nursing student.) I previously had a 2007 Toyota Camry and the process to trade that vehicle in was as seamless as it could be! It was very easy to pick out what vehicles were the best fit and after looking at multiple cars, Nate found one that met all my preferred requirements! Once I found the perfect car, Nate worked to hard to make the payments in my price range, after a couple days I received a text stating the car of my dreams was finally mine! I can't thank Nate enough for all the hard work he did to get me the car I had my heart set on! The process of buying and signing paperwork went smoothly and I was able to pick up my Certified Pre-Owned Chevy Malibu today! We sold our 2011 Chevrolet Malibu to our grandchildren and wanted to replace it with another Chevrolet, possibly another Malibu. We started looking at Chevrolet models at Chevyland when Ed Miles came out to help us. He showed us many models and let us set inside of several to get the feel of the model comfort level. We needed to think over the information so left without any more serious considerations. Ed didn't pressure us and in fact did not even get our name to get into contact with us again as many car salesman will usually do. I respected Ed for this gesture. We thought about the information we got from Ed and in combination with a big rebate posted on the website, we decided to consider an Impala. We got in contact with Ed and told him about our preference. He helped us make a decision without any undue pressure to purchase. We made our the agreement and followed through with the purchase. I am not a fan of OnStar and do not like to go through the process of activating this service. I will now have to go through the process of dealing with the cancellation when the free service is terminated. I am not a big fan of extended warranties either, but in this case we did take an extended warranty on the electronics. Since there are so many electronically controlled devices in the vehicle and with the bump and grind of travel I am sure there could be possible problems with some of the electronics in the future.In conclusion, we were very happy with our experience at Chevyland and with Ed Miles' help in making a significant purchase in our lives. We have made many car purchases in the past 50+ years and I usually dread going through the salesman hassle, but in this case it was a very pleasant surprise. Thank you for all considerations you have given to our purchase.

Just bought my 7th vehicle from the McGrath family, and couldn't be happier. Very helpful like always, no stupid sales tactics, they just listen to what my needs where and found me the best they had to offer (which was a better option then I had found on there website). There was very little back and forth, I told them what I wanted to spend and they made it happen. During paperwork they actually told me about how I could get money back from an earlier purchase and helped me file that paperwork as well. We were lied to. We were told we did not qualify for financing for cars with lower miles. NOT true! We did qualify at another dealership for MANY cars, in a higher price range and with VERY low mileage. We were lied to multiple times. This location made us wait for hours waiting for "negotiations". The dealership we ended up buying from was so much more down to Earth, did not lie, and negotiations took a maximum of 4-5 minutes. This was a joke and we were treated with disrespect just because we are young and don't know as much. Salesmen would also talk negatively about customers in the open, they must not have known we were right there. What was said about us behind closed doors?! We left feeling really disappointed in what is such a "well-known" name. I highly recommend going somewhere else!

If you are looking for a car new or used I'd highly recommend working with Jordan Gaul. Honest,friendly,does what he says he will and a outgoing top notch guy. Looked at a few different cars til I decided to go with the Malibu. Didn't feel like I was dealing with a salesman at all more like dealing with a buddy got to know him pretty good that day after spending a good 5-6 hrs there going through cars until he found one I liked and was happy with and in my payment range etc. calls or shoots me a text every few weeks to see how I'm doing, how I'm liking the car, any issues at all. Etc. so give him a shout if you're in the market for a new vehicle he's your go to guy. Very pleasant experience working with him. I Will do business with him in the future.

Woke up one morning and decided to buy a car. Granted, I was not ready just yet to go for a full commitment. But I contacted the dealership with my choice via phone call, and was assigned to a specific dealer. Jordan Gaul at Pat McGrath Chevy Land of Cedar Rapids. He worked with me for 6 months until I was ready. Sending me emails of new versions of what I was looking for, contacting me occasionally to see where I was at in the whole idea, and making sure we had found one for the right price yet still being a good vehicle. My car style had changed twice. I found the car I wanted, though stubborn on the price, they did have an offer that was irresistable. Came in for a test drive, they had my name in the vehicle. Test drove it and noticed that the car had a rattle in the front. Concerned, I had a second opinion after I bought it. Rookie move I know. BUT! After the second opinion and found that that was the only thing wrong, (sway bar) and knowing that the dealer had known it was there, and that the warranty hadn't quite kicked in yet, they fixed it at the dealership for no charge, which I had figured is good business practice. The certified repair place in its own was high tech and did feel like being in a doctor's office and very impersonal. I arrived at repair place expecting usual 6 guys in a garage. Maybe it was just my expectations. Everyone there was helpful if I had questions, but quickly brushed off after a brief response. In and out of there in 2 hours. Not too bad. Over all experience was not by any means bad. Jordan basically held my hand the whole way and I already know if there are any other questions or issues I can contact him. I ended up with a 2012 kia forte. Happy as a clam with that vehicle and the price was high. But the warranty was worth it. It came with the car but was still a good buy. If you are ever to do business with this dealership, like any used or new car dealership, just mind your P's and Q's, dot your I's and cross your T's. And NEVER buy a car by yourself. Someone else's opionion is always helpful and may pull you out of a bad situation. I will admit I was very lucky so far.

these ungrateful idiots sold me a hunk of junk, disguised as a good car. I went to look at 2013 Malibu's and what do they do, show me the most tricked out, expensive car on the lot. I was only 21 had no credit, only made $10 an hour and they wanted me to buy a $26,000 car. After they came to there senses and realized that i couldn't even come close to affording that car they take me to the used car side of the dealership were they proceed to show me a 2010 Chevy Aveo. I should've known the fix was in during the test drive when going 40 miles an hour the car starts moving side to side, like a fishtail in the middle of summer. Then after I sit and wait all day for them to run my paperwork, I find out that this car that should've been listed at $8,500 dollars was actually listed at $15,000. Then after they sell me their "OlympicCare" service package, they charged me every time I came back for service. What is even worse is that years later, after I gave the car back to the bank because it was going to cost more to fix than the car was worth and I couldn't afford the $400 dollar car payments and to put gas in it every week, i go back to look at a 2005 Malibu and the salesman had the gal to tell me they didn't make any money, ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME!!!, I MAY BE YOUNG BUT I WASN;T BORN YESTERDAY.

Having leased several vehicles from our sales consultant John Travis he always lets us know when there is an advantage to trade our car for a newer model. This was also the case with our recent Malibu.When we arrived for our appointment John was busy finishing with a previous customer so Scott was gracious enough to bring the car we were considering to the front and proceeded to explain the new features of the 2016 Malibu. He also was willing to take us on a test drive until John was finished. John was able to get us a great deal with all the incentives. It's not often you can get a new vehicle for a cheaper payment. Thank you John for your persistence. We dealt with Spike for the financial part of the transaction and we was extremely pleasant and made the process easy . Did an excellent job of explaining everything. We also had a very nice conversation with Derek Fox and found that he is from the Quad Cities as are we so we had familiar bond. All in all a great buying experience. I think this was the easiest one yet.

This last time as they were putting truck on hoist they hit an arm and ruined a tire. You guys made it right with me and replaced two tires. I appreciate that. Mistakes happen and you guys made it right with me. Thank you. I did not receive a car wash due to it being below 25 degrees and was told I would get a voucher, which I did not receive but I have not contacted the service department yet about this. other than that, not my greatest experience there but it was corrected which made up for it. Been looking for sometime for a Charger that I liked, that had the bells and whistles I wanted. Just happened to be driving through the lot and Tony Westbrook came out to see if he could help. I have been through these lots many times over the last year and have been approached by several salesmen. Tony wasn't high pressure, didn't try to sell me something I didn't want or need, he asked what I was looking for and said he would see what he could do to find it. It was actually on the lot, but new to the lot so wasn't in the system yet, by the time I was back and hour later, he had the car up front, gassed up and ready for a test drive. My test drive was awesome, I live out of town and my test drive consisted of that route and an inspection done by my husband, who was still working. I have never liked a limited test drive and to be able to work it out this way meant a great deal. He was willing to work with me and went out of his way to assure that my questions were answered and told me some tips and tricks about the car. If I know of anyone looking, I will be giving them his card. I am a new customer to Pat McGrath and Tony is the reason for that. A day or so later I had a couple of questions on the finance side of the purchase and was able to work with Spike, he was right there to help and made the difference for me. I can honestly say that I was very happy to work with both gentlemen. Hang on to these guys, they ROCK!

My wife and I came to McGrafth Chevy Land looking for a good reliable used car to replace a company car that I was losing due to an internal job position change. They don't call back as they say, quoted wrong price for damages, no update calls on vehicle or an estimated time frame car would be done, had to keep calling to see what's up, after being told I would get a return call. Never called back until the next day with wrong information, left the rest up to my son's dad to call because I am fed up with them and there response to things, it's courteous to return call, and have correct info before blurting out fictitious quotes! Should have went to Andrews Collision, next time I'll follow my first mind!

Miscommunication between Trenda and the service center yesterday. I brought my vehicle in the morning like we had set up, and when I showed up, they were clueless on why I needed to bring my Trax in. I was unsure because I was dealing with several insurance companies the day we set up this appointment. It shouldn't matter though. Anyway, I left with my Trax. An hour later I get a call saying sorry about the miscommunication, luckily I had time to bring my Trax back so they could put the coating inside and outside the vehicle. It was all kind of a waste of my time. Otherwise, everything else has been great.

This is my first car buying experience ever as I have never bought a car before. I had been eyeing the Camaro for some time now and finally got the courage to walk in for a test drive. I've heard horror stories of dealers ripping people off and only wanting to make a sale. Therefore, naturally I was quite skeptical and had my defenses up when I came to McGrath. I found that not to be the case at all when I came in and asked for a test drive. I'm quite picky, so I knew what I wanted. Paul Hachey and his manager were more than willing to patiently work with me in fulfilling all my needs. McGrath initially did not have what I wanted in stock, but they looked around and helped me find the one that matched my requirements. They were able to tag it and bring it in from another dealership. Paul and his manager had worked out a sweet price for me as well, cheaper than what the other dealership was offering! After purchasing my Equinox, there was a windshield wiper blade issue and no caps on the tire stems. After contacting Cody Moenk, my original salesman and great to work with, too, he told me he would not be working that day but assured me that anyone at the dealership would be able and happy to help me. Tony Westbrook went out of his way to help me with those two issues, washed the car, and made sure I understood how the dashboard menu worked. He also checked on the oil level and found out that it just hadn't been reset after being changed prior to my purchase. Thanks for going out of your way that day, Tony!

Ben Rusnak was our Sales Manager. My husband and I came to the car lot to "just look". Ben came over and showed us the Traverse and a few other models. I was very impressed with Billy Lahr and Mark Thomas at McGrath. I purchased a new 2015 Chevy Malibu. Billy kept in constant contact with me to keep me updated while I was waiting for loan approval. Mark from service was great to work with also. Both were very friendly and helpful, would work with them again and recommend them to anyone looking for a new or used vehicle.

Not much to tell. Dropped my car off, asked whether a coupon deal I had been sent was better than paying for an oil change and tire rotation. Rep found me a better deal they offered for 3 oil changes for the price of two so I got that. Car was ready when promised.

I loved the fact that my sales person is good at what she does, however, I did not like the fact that when I had a problem it seemed as though I was being written off & ignored since the vehicle was already purchased. I did not like having a problem and having to fight for the sales person to listen to what I was saying, & to get back in touch with me.

Made an appointment, delivered car to shop, got a ride home and then back to pick up car. Everyone was polite and helpful! Car done when promised at cost that was estimated. The repair man test drove car with me and he was very polite and business like. A wonderful young man! All in all a great experience and a quick fix to a big problem!

Well since we bought the car, we have had $20,000 in service work performed on it from day 2. Tried to get out of it and had a very unpleasant experience with the sales department. It would have to be a miracle from god to buy another vehicle from you.

Also informed us of a recall on our Traverse and we would be receiving information on it in a few days and we have received that information at this time.

From the moment I left my 2010 Chevy Traverse, just to explore its value as a trade-in on a new Equinox SUV, I was met by Pat McGrath Chevyland staff who proved to be as courteous and attentive as I've ever encountered in a commercial organization. Sales Consultant Scott Kadera and Business Manager Spike Edwards attention to numerous questions and concerns were exemplary. My wife joined me the next day, we made our purchase, were eased through the paperwork, experienced clear instructions and patient help with adjusting to new operating features on the vehicle, we drove off totally pleased with the experience!

We enjoy working with our salesperson John "JB" Baker. This is the second new car we have purchased from him. He seemed to know that my husband and me really wanted a red Impala. Yes, that is what he had in the lot and that is what we purchased that day. John has been extremely helpful in assisting with the new "buttons" technology in the2015. The car I traded in was a 2001 Impala with 169715 miles on it. Our second car is a 2009 Lumina. No questions as to what we wanted to purchase and where. I was very impressed with Jordan Gaul and Keegan Russell at McGrath. I purchased a used Jeep that they just had received into inventory. I looked around at several dealerships and even online to find a replacement for my 2002 Chevy 2500 HD. I found a truck that I liked on the McGrath website but before I could get the chance to see it, it was sold. Jordan and the used car manager found some similar trucks for me to look at and I test drove several before I picked out one that I liked. We made the deal and I talked to Spike Edwards about financing. He was very knowledgeable and explained everything through the process.
