Most horrible experience ever
We went in to buy Honda Pilot exl and after a test drive, when we asked for pricing the sales manager walked in. He did not introduce himself and just took over the dealing from Jason (sales person). He was so rude and did not let us speak at all. He insulted us and told us to leave for absolutely no fault of ours! I wish I knew the name so I could point him out. Well, unfortunately for them they have lost customers (us and our friends). We got the same car from DCH Paramus Honda and had a wonderful experience.
Horrible customer service
When they tell you that you will get your trade in check in ten days- yet I'm still waiting and I'm on week three. Also they don't respond to emails and it's very hard to reach someone ! I would not recommend
Misleading prices....BUYER BEWARE!!!....bait and switch
They will give you a great quote over the phone....you get there and they add $835 destination charge plus other hidden fees....TOTALLY MISLEADING....
Loyal customer received best in class service
Exceptional service (10/10). Last Saturday my daughter, her husband and I met Jeffrey Gutland for the first time at the dealership. I wanted to lease a 2017Honda Accord because of the great performance of (my first) 2014 Accord (currently own a 2012 Honda Civic). Here is a guy who knows his job well. His excecution was flawless from the unit selection and pricing offers to the document preparation and delivery. He also had great support from the Accounting Team which was a reflection of his good interpersonal skills. I have only written a few reviews in my lifetime. It's usually a personal thank you for good service. However, we were so happy with his outstanding service that I decided to take the time to acknowledge his outstanding efforts. Thank You very much Mr Gutland and Open Road, We will highly recommend you to our family and friends.
Never going purchase from Open Honda
I called them availability of cars before reaching open Honda office and they said lot availability but when i go there they said that all of them sold out. what kind of crap it is
I come from all the way in PA, after spending approx 4 hours at the dealer with no answers I got "pre approved" only to be told to come back not the next day but two days later when the "salesman" was back. When I showed up two days later he couldn't even be our salesman so we got someone new, once again our credits were ran, BAD! Then what we were offered two days prior wasn't even what we could have truly gotten, but it wasn't until about three hours later that someone told us this. So two days, 1.5 hour trip each way, and after many hours of not even being acknowledged just left there like we didn't matter, we walked away with nothing. Not only the waste of time, gas, and effort for a few days but also rude people, very limited and rude answers. Will never go back there!!!!!
My husband and I had the pleasure of working with Tony to buy our new Pilot. He was such a nice guy- knowledgeable and respectful, and most importantly to me he was not overbearing. There is nothing worse than a salesman who makes you feel pressured but Tony really made us feel like he was there to help us. All of the salesman were so kind, even helping us keep our toddler content with balloons and paper airplanes. I highly recommend this dealership.
Recent Purchase Honda Civic T
Bought several cars over the past 20 years and decided to try OPEN ROAD HONDA in Edison , what a pleasant surprise on the whole process, Price was quoted over the phone and when I arrived, IT WAS THE SAME PRICE !!! The speed and professionalism by J. KIM the sales Rep was terrific. Fast and painless.... all car salespeople should take lessons from him on how to deal with potential customers. Will definetaly go back there when i am ready for another car.Vincent D.
Very rude salesman
So, I was attend by Henry Lin. He was very rude to me and my parents when we went down spically to check out a car. The way he was taking to use was not professional, he also started giving use attitude and was not willing to negotiate the price at all. Which basically told me that he did not want me as a customer. Overall very bad attitude and not the right way to treat a customer who came for jersey city because they were recommended to be one of the best delarship
Car touch up paint on my new car that I bought
When I bought the car on February 21 I thought everything is ok to my car and after few days . They used brown touch up paint to black to cover up the chips of my car so I went to the dealer and they are telling me that they don't know nothing and who knows I did it and they will give only discounted rate for the repair . They manufacturer should fix this in free of charge coz I spend and pay this car in full
Great car buying experience
We just bought our new Honda CRV-EX in Open Road Honda, simply its very nice environment and great staffs, specially sales person Jason Rodriguez who has explain everything very detail, friendly and make it very easy our car buying process, we have got great deal buy Jason, if you guys need reasonable and great deal ask sales person Jason Rodriguez in Open Road Honda, i highly recommend Jason and Open Road Honda for everyone to best car buying.
I have 2 bad experiences with the sales people. The first one was when we were looking for a Honda Odyssey. At first, the Asian guy was nice and accommodating. We already specified we wanted a silver Ex, but still he drove us to their lot to look for a silver Ex. After going back to the dealership and repeated that we wanted a silver EX, which they didn't have. He just dismissed us and won't even shake my outreached hand. The second one was when we bought the Honda Pilot. We changed our mind about the Odyssey. We made the mistake of buying the 10 years/100,000 miles warranty. And so the next day, we came back to return the warranty. Charles the financing agent said we just have to wait for 2 weeks and the money will go to the bank, as principal payment. It took 8 months, with frequent calling every 3 weeks, for the money to be paid back to us. From the $1200 price, we got back $1,105. The insuring agency said it was because it took 8 months for the dealership to cancel the insurance. I spoke with Rainer Balustro, manager of the dealership, to complain. He promised to give back $45 back as a check, the rest was to pay for cancellation fee. Of course, we never got that check.Crude
YONG SHIN at Edison OPEN ROAD HONDA
Pleasant to work with and made the purchase and delivery a very smooth process. Check out Yong Shin if you are looking for best customer service.
I just purchased my fourth Honda Accord from Mr. Yong Shin with wonderful experience. Mr. Shin is a very polite, patient, and knowledgeable person. He really helped me get the best deal possible and returned my previous leased Accord. I strongly recommend him to everyone I know!
Excellent Experience for Retired Veterans
I'm a retired Vet and was treated with the upmost respect during my recent visit. The salesman, Jessie, was excellent in aiding me in choosing a vehicle.
Tony Lopez is the Best salesmen
Went in to look around and met Tony Lopez in the showroom. Told him was looking for a car for my daughter to use for college. He was more helpful then I had expected and patiently took his time helping me. Answered all my questions about the car and warranty. Would recommend this dealership to all my friends and family and to go to Tony Lopez as a salesman you will be treated with the utmost fairness and honesty. This was my best experience I have ever had with a salesman and a dealership. They have got a loyal customer for life now.
worked with dealer Sam Beshay, he made it a great experience so happy with my new car thank you so much!!!!! Great customer service!!

Worst device they lie
Went their 5/31/16. Salesman can't find keys to car we wanted to buy tried to sell us something else then went inside never came back to us went in again another guy same xxxx, they are confused, they quoted one price and the other quoted another full of crap. Go to Old bridge anywhere but their! People complaints all over one guy was yelling about how long he was there 6 hours come-on TG that is not service
Worst Sales Manager
Sales manager would not give me his name or card, would not listen to my needs or interests, talked over me, tried to steer me or PLAY me. So disrespectful I had to walk out.
They are lier and not stick on there word
I have taken Internet price for Honda CR-V Ex model. They have send me email with lowest price. Then I talk to sales men Mohib and schedule the appointment to finalize the vehicle. When I reach there Mohib was not available even I confirmed my appointment with Mohib by email and phone. I called him and he give some other sales person name. I talked to that guy and shown him Email price which was still valid. He said no we can not give you on this price and start asking $2000 more. I told him I had discussion with Mohib and it is in writing email , you should respect this. He started arguing me and started speaking louder. He said Mohib is not working with any more here . And go and talk to him only. They ruined my evening. Totally wast of time. Don't go there. They just give lowest price to attract customers. After that making story. They will not stick on there word. I never saw dealer like this. Thanks

I leased Honda CR-V SE 2016 on May 14, 2016. Nice
I leased a new Honda CR-V SE 2016 on May 14, 2016. Nice people and nice place. My Sales Consultant was Teresa. She is amazing. I had very good experience at Open Road Honda dealership at Edison, NJ. I will recommend this dealership and use for service of my new car. Thank you.
Not satisfied very bad
Sales man doesn't know how to deal with customers they tease us and very slow and dull sales person no respect to customers very bad experience

Salesman was knowledgeable, pleasant and promt
My salesman name is CHARLIE. I lease a new Honda Accord. After 2 car leases, I became familiar with leasing and how things come into play. I came in to the dealership and ask CHARLIE - what car I need and the price I wanted. After checking the inventory and finding the car, he went ahead and process my request. In less than an hour, I drive home the new accord.
Rude and Unprofessional
Their salesmen pride in putting the customers down and doing sales gimmicks. If you believe in fair or even general courtesy dont even step in the door. They waste your time, by making you wait loner and longer as they have all the time in the world to wear you out. Its a matter of how quick you give in to their aggressive salesmen. Deals fell thru multiple times even after the internet quote and email negotiation because of the last minute flipping by the floor salesperson. Onetime, the deal price was agreed upon in the email and the salesperson was shown the same, but she prepared the purchase contract excluding the accessories for the same price and would not own her mistake of correcting it. I am not going back there. I would not recommend this dealerships for any of your Honda purchases either.
Salesman was pleasant and knowledgeable.
My salesman was Jesse Legaspi. He guided me thru the lease with ease and told me all the important information I needed. Jesse worked with his boss to give me the price I could afford. There wasn't any pressure to lease the car. The gentlemen who did all the paper work was also friendly and organized. Made all the paper signing fast. I give everyone 5thumbs up ??????????
Don't honor their commitment. Worst sales exp.
I went to the dealership for buying a pre-owned vehicle. First we couldn't make a deal and I walked out the door. Sales guy comes running behind me and agrees to my price and congratulates me for getting the car. All sounds GOOD right!! 1.5 hour later while waiting paperwork and stuff his manager comes around with a different price than what we agreed upon. He went back to their original price and didn't want to honor the price they agreed upon. Manager or the sales person didn't care about the commitment they made earlier. I walked out of there. They don't seem to be professional and don't care about customers time or what they committed to. !!BE CAREFUL!! when you deal with these guys. Sales person: Chris Manager: Dimitry
I had very good experience with Open Road Honda. I bought ..
I had very good experience with Open Road Honda. I bought 2016 Honda CRV EX-L from Open Road Honda Edison. I was dealing with Sales Person Mathew Mathai, he was a very nice & helping fellow. He worked with us throughout the deal and after the car purchase also. Pros: They have lots of car in inventory. Their prices before tax were the most reasonable among all the dealers I have shopped around. Cons: They have high documentation fees & they charge 90$ to the customer before handing over the key (for cleaning & removing other stuff). Overall I was satisfied with my deal with them & I recommend them.
I recently purchased a car from Andy Zhang and the experience was nothing but wonderful. He was polite, patient, and really helped me get the best deal possible. I would recommend him to everyone I know!
I have had very few good experiences when I have needed to have a car serviced. Thanks to my Service Advisor, Mike Goworek, that was not the case at Open Road. He is extremely professional and addressed all of my questions and concerns about the work that was done and was pleasure to work with.
Why is it so hard to know what you have?
If I see your advertised car online. If I send you correspondence to verify the car is still there. If you call me to confirm that it is and that I can see it in the morning. If I call in the morning to verify it's still there. If I'm on the highway and you again call to confirm my appointment. If I go through your showroom and get directed to a sales person. If I tell the salesperson the car that I'm looking for, and he looks in the computer and confirmed that the car is there. Why then when I have to wait a half hour for someone else to confirm the car was sold the day before? Unacceptable.
Very good car buying experience
Bought Honda Civic Ex-L a week back from open road Honda. Normally car buying is very strainful process, but this time I found it very easy.Carolina gave me a good quote and explained process very politely.Mikhel was very good at explaining all the features and options. In short, very pleasant experience.
paying a new car
great offer with a great customer service very good sales man sam bishay
I contacted the service dept about a warranty and Ms. Gido was very informative, helpful and polite. I would recommend your service department and will be back for future service
Recent visit for repairs
Could not be any more pleased with the service and treatment I received at Open Rd., Honda. I brought my car in for repairs, that I was already quoted for at a another shop. They were actually able to beat the price, using Honda parts, and I got more warranty on the work than I was offered someplace else. All the people in the service department from the parking people to the cashier and everyone in between treated me like I had been going there for years. It was a wonderful experience. I would recommend it highly to anyone.
Amazing service, great deal. Walked in for an 2016 model. Got a great deal! Sam was my sales guy, no pressure, and was able to get us a great deal. The deal was made in less than an hour and we had a new car within two hours :)! Strongly recommend Open Road Honda Edison! I want this honda CR-V in this color Basque Red Pearl II with smart key and automatic transmission and 2015 i want to make sure if it will be available let me know thank
it was a painful and frustrating just to get quotes
I emailed and asked for quote via email. That was not so successful. I spoke to a rep on the phone after she sent me a base price. I asked for my out the door price. I literally had her on the phone with her trying to jedi mind trick telling me they are the best price and trying to get me to say it. I kept saying I don't know please tell me the out the door so I can compare. She refused for over ten minutes, kept arguing with me telling me they asked are the best. She kept saying i want to earn your business to which i said well then give me the orice. Finally she did and they weren't the cheapest. Long story short she convinced me tow send her the better offers, indid. I didn't hear back. Next day I emailed and asked tow be emailed back as she promised she would after talking to her manager. She called instead of emailing me, and told me they are cheaper, I said no your not. She insisted she was but when I asked her how she said that's what her manager said and he will call me. Well four hours later he didnt. I emailed and to which they had another salesman call me and trying to sell me again. In the end I don't trust them if they can't even follow up to 'earn' my business.
Worst sales representative ever !!!
We went to the showroom with an appointment to look for a new civic and Honda Accord for a friend and there came the sales representative, Andy Zhang. He asked which car were we looking for and we told him we are yet to decide but we are interested in the new civic. He told us about the price and trust me just the price and not the variations available in the model. When we asked for variations, the only question he asked was do you want turbo engine? Sure, every Tom Dick and Harry knows what's the difference between a turbo engine and a regular one? Isn't it the duty of the representative to tell the customer what's the difference and how to go about it ???? And then we asked if we can see the car and he said its outside. He escorted us out and showed the parked car, without getting the cars key. Forget about the test drive, Did he expect us to just look at the exterior and not the interior? And we again asked if we can see the interior and text drive the vehicle once and then he headed inside to get the keys. All he did was instructing the one test driving to turn left or right and he spoke nothing about the car's featured at all. Once we headed inside and asked him for the price quote, he took a minute and on a piece of paper he wrote ex = sensing = $22875. And nothing else. We asked him if we could get a quote for Honda Accord too and in a really loud voice he said "sir, you first need to decide on which one,". We totally lost it then, i just said you can't tell us to decide on a vehicle le when we are here looking for our options. That's no way a sales representative e gets to behave with the customers who come by to see a car. Honda is supposed to have really good representatives around but I don't know how we came across Andy Zhang at Open Road Honda, Edison NJ. This has been my worst experience ever and I'm gonna tell everyone I know about my experience. Sorry Mr.Zhang but you disappointed us to to the core.
buy a car
I commited to buying a car there and the vehicle was sold the day before I told them I was coming. Not even the courtesy of a phone call. They claim they tried to call me however they didnt have a problem getting me when they was trying to make the sale. Needless to say I got a much better deal at planet honda.
Sales Rep Randy told me that their Ads lie
I wanted to trade in my Mini Van to lease a new Honda pilot. we couldn't find common ground on trade-in value and end up leaving empty handed. But Open Road Honda girl named Carolina kept on calling me, she kept on trying to convince me to come back again. One time she said she have spoken to her manager and he is willing to offer the trade in price, so i agreed to come in again. When i reached there, I was greeted by their sales Rep and I started the process with that sales Rep. they had promotion on site saying $995 down + fees and Taxes. I did my research and was prepared to pay MV, Docs, bank and acquisition fee, final price due on leasing $2800+. and that what they offered me on my first visit when they tried to low value my Van. Open road Honda site still shows that promotion, but sales Rep Randy told me that their AD is a lie, He presented me with all the costs associated with leasing (it had a bunch of made up services, but required). Which was totaling in $4100+Taxes+first month payment. They just want you to visit their dealership, they will not owner any deal offered you on phone.Beware! check all the values around before going to this place.
Bait and Switch- Never deal with them
I would never recommend this Honda dealership. They agree to different terms and price over the phone and then disagree when you visit them. Gave me a price over the phone and then said it doesn't include any taxes and fees. I clearly asked if this price includes everything, i.e. out the door price. So, they just want to get you there and waste your time.
I HAVE A VERY EXPERIENCE WITH MR.YONG SHIN BUY A NEW 2016 HONDA ACCORD LX FOR WIFE THE SHE LOVE IT.I REFERRAL TO ANY OF FRIENDS.
Walked in for a 2015 Accord with a writtem quote from other dealer. They "almost" matched that to a 2016 same model !Mikel kalil was my sales guy,no pressure, very amicable and worked out a great deal. Even when we were almost walking out, no rage or "why dont you" or tricks. Pleasurable experience.Highly recommend
THE SALESMAN WAS VERY GOOD HE EXPLAINED ALL OPTION BEFORE OUR FINAL PURCHASE. ALSO HE SHOWED US HOW TO USE THE FEATURE IN THE CARE VERY HELPFUL.
Great service,even after sales !
Amazing service, great deal. Walked in for an 2015 model with a quoted price, was told they will try to match. Few hundred dollars more yes but got a 2016 model. Mikel khalil was my sales guy, no pressure, understood our rational for not getting the latest model and worked with us. The deal was made in less than an hour and an amazing one too ( confirmed by other dealers too) Financing guy Eli was profeshional and no hidden charges ;with 0.9 financing too ! Strongly recommend Open Road Honda Edison.
Bad salespeople in the pre- certified dept
I had a very bad experience with to salesman Ray and Sam.Beware of these to. Very bad attitude with people when you decide not to purchase car.
Tony Lopez & entire staff is amazing
Bought my 2012 Honda EX and love it. Staff was amazing, personable and overall very helpful. Tony was patient and knowledgable about the car and helped me pick the best one for my needs. Charlie from finance was helpful and direct about the process, which I appreciated. Constantine was wonderful as well. Could not have asked for better.
Service is no good
They don't provide quality service, not sure if they even do 40 point inspection with every car they claim to do. They just blindly tick mark the sheet, when we have observed the opposite in reality.
i recently purchased a new car here. i usually come for service for my old 2004 accord. The staff is very friendly and helpful.the last time i came in i noticed there was a new managing staff (Berry Magnus and Renier) they went above and beyond to help me get the vehicle i wanted because my credit wasn't so great and i didnt think i could get a new car. they were honest and very helpful with getting me a new car.
Got my car here and continue to get it serviced. It is awesome and they make everything quick and easy.
Great buying experiance , Finance dept was best i have ever dealt with in my buying history
VJ best salesman and great prices!
VJ was the best car salesman we have ever dealt with. We were extremely impressed with his honesty and integrity. He promptly returned every phone call and answered all our questions immediately. We were very pleased with the entire process from beginning to end. We live on Long Island and had limited time and he worked with us to make sure the transaction was performed quickly and effortlessly. We highly recommend him to anyone looking for a car and will definitely return to him when our lease ends.
Great experience, Yong Shin was extremely helpful and made the experience easy. Easy to deal with, no forced up-sale and honest about everything. Will come back again.
Great customer service...
Courtney Drake supplied superior customer service. Highl marks! Great job! Thank You....will tell everyone how great she represents professionalism
After enough research from online, we decided to go back to Open Road Honda which is 40 miles away from our house. The service we have received from Yong Shin made the trip worthwhile. We felt that Yong was very straight and made us feel very comfortable with the lease deal. We will definitely go back to this dealer again and would recommend Yong's assistance for next vehicle.
Please do not buy
Very bad experience. There were two unapproved credit on my name so I ask them that do not check any other credit as I was going with finance option but still they check with various banks. Iric was person who did this. I got 4 letters for denial credit. they are doing bargaining very cheap like 5$, 10$ etc.... Please dont buy the cars from here.. Worst sales person Iric... He was giving feeling like I was defaulter. With other bank and other dealer I got best deal..... go with other dealers
I only come here to get my car serviced, but when my lease is up I plan on coming back here to purchase my next car. Everyone is friendly and very nice.
Open Road Honda is one of the best dealerships I have ever worked with. Their entire staff is friendly, helpful, and honest. I have been coming here for years and have yet to have a bad experience. They are always trying to make sure that your experience is a pleasant one. I highly recommend coming here for your next car!
Great dealership. Never had any issues with their service. Overall the dealership is great from the sales department to the service department.

Showed effort to make customer satisfy. Good service.
Yong Shin is pretty straight forward salesperson. I didn't feel that he tried to play with the numbers. I told the price, and he was clear about "CAN" and "CANNOT". Will be able to trust him.
Purched new Accord from Open Road Honda
The salesman Yong Shin was very helpful. He gave me a great deal on a new Honda Accord. Love this car. It was exactly what I was looking for. Thanks Yong
Yong Shin is an honest to the point salesman. One of the best experiences I have had in my 20 years of purchasing/leasing a car. If you want honesty and at right to the point deal. He is the man to go to. Thank you Yong!xo
I just bought my new car from Gary Liu. He was extremely nice, professional and easygoing. All of the employees that I interacted with at this Honda dealership seemed to be genuinely pleasant and nice. There was no pressure to buy a car and the transaction was relatively smooth and easy. Gary's pleasant demeanor lessened the stress of buying a new car. I would highly recommend this dealership and my salesperson, Gary Liu.
Andy Zhang a great salesman
I and my wife bought our new Honda CR-V two days ago at Open Road Honda with Andy. We got the sale done quietly and made the experience exceptional. Friendly approach with no pressure and complete honesty. Andy is truly there to serve!

Mr. Shin was truly a blessing, and I want Open Road Honda to know how much I appreciate Mr. Shin hard work and time. Keep up the good work Open Road Honda.*****
Dealer with baleful words
Not sure how other dealer like, but this dealer is really terrible! Look at how he said to us:'I am a 16 years golden dealer, I have right to block one person from the market. This person will never get a car in US.''If you don't have 2000 more money, why you choose this one? You should go back home, save more money then come to buy a car.' He thought we know nothing and try to lie to us. There are too many dirty pool want to list here. Overall, Gray Liu is the worst liar we ever see.

GOOD HELP FROM RUPAL AMIN WHEN I CAME FOR SERVICE MY CAR
friendly and personal experience, highly recommended
This was a friendly and personal experience in buying a used car at this dealer, Open Road Honda at Edison. Sales rep, Ralph Santiago greeted me as soon as I stepped into the sales office. His friendly and personal manner immediately made me at ease and felt comfortable in joining a conversation with him. He took his time and patiently showed me what I was looking for. There were several choices of what I was looking. Ralph patiently explained everything to me, and ever push me one way or the other at anytime. It was my own decision to pick the car I wanted. Ralph was great. I will recommend Ralph Santiago for everyone looking for a used car at Open Road at Edison.

Love the attention and the help I received from Ms. Zulis Linares. She was a great help in assisting me find the perfect car for a great car. She was very nice and attentive and she reassured me that I would get the best quality service possible. She made me feel like a valued customer.
Car buying experience
Thank you Gary for making a car buying experience an excellent one at Open Road Honda. Gary Liu was our representative and he was very patient. Our situation wasn't the easiest for type of car and payments were particular. He, Bruce, and the finance team worked hard to find the right deal for us and provided advice on how to make the investment work for us in the long run and that is the type of service I expect from a reputable company. Again, the overall experience was wonderful.
for Yong Shin
In June I leased a car and had a very good experience. When I had a sudden and unexpected need to replace an older vehicle, I called Yong Shin, who had assisted me with the first lease. I was so impressed with him the first time that I was confident things would go well this time. My confidence was not misplaced. Yong was again friendly, helpful and worked with me to make the arrangement that best suited my needs.Even though I went in on a Saturday and things were pretty busy, Yong helped move the process along very well.
Kaylynn Diaz is an excellent sales person! She assisted me every step of the way and the entire car buying experience was very pleasant indeed! She is an asset to Open Road Honda! Everyone should ask for Kaylynn Diaz when in Edison Open Road Honda!
I told always my steering wheel is vibrating/shaky when I apply break.. The service agent Mira told exactly these words "if u live near water body or drive in water it is bound to happen. It is not safety concern." I was speechless...and when i question more..then she tried to counter by saying my appointment didn't say anything about steering wheel complain so she can't look.. then the other guy told they gave 2 different systems and not in sync... what a waste place. . Better goto to somewhere else
Experience buying 2015 Honda crv
The salesman was informative and polite when he greeted us at the door and showed us the crv. At first he promised 1500 off the listed price then came back and said the only option was to meet an offer for a reserved car and that everything was already reserved because the car we were interested in was rare, so that bumped the price back up $900. Okay that makes sense. When we asked questions about the price and questioned the milage (first he said it's brand new so should only have 15-20miles. Then offered to check and it turned out to be 44 miles), he insisted that he already explained the reasons but still tried to be accommodating and got his manager to offer 2 free oil changes. This salesman was actually really good and tried his best to accomodate what we were looking for. The bad aftertaste i have is with the free oil changes.Watch out for their offer for free oil changes. Manager promised that his offer for 2 free oil changes meant the car would be covered for the year. The fine print on the offer paper has an expiration of 30 days. How do I use these 2 free oil changes for a brand new car and the offer expires in 30 days? ??! The manager basically lied to my face about honoring that offer before I could see that there was a fine print. Towards the end, it seemed like they were just pushing for a sale. I was exhausted and had already decided on buying the car so i just wanted to get out of there but did not appreciate the fake free offer and the push on the price increase after the initial lower price. I wish I pushed more to stick with the original lower offer for same day sale. Later in the finance office, the insurance package I had to buy because of the loan financing covered maintenance (including oil changes...) and he said it was required because of my credit score.. uh what? Total fees brought the total up couple thousands. I felt stressed leaving the dealership but will have to admit that if there was a positive factor, it was with the salesman and his knowledge of the cars.
Nightmare, disrespectful and dishonest
My experience with this dealership has been extremely terrible and nightmarish. It does not allow me to give anything less than 1 star and hence going with it. I went to the dealership with a quote from truecar.com for 2015 honda odyssey. The sales person (Sam) had no knowledge about the car, gave me wrong information, was very unfriendly and was rushing. He was willing to show me the car (not test drive) only if he sees some commitment from me. Since I had already decided to buy the car and done the research about specifications etc, I didnt want to waste time either and directly proceeded to price negotiation. He brought in his sales manager and instead of honoring the truecar.com quote, they tricked me into negotiation on OTD price and was tricked to agree for a price higher than quoted price. I know I should have been careful and checked for every detail but I trusted them to honor that price and was very nervous as well. This in my opinion is definitely cheating. The sales person was so unfriendly that he was making rude comments and weird jokes like I should be happy that I'm getting service from a sales person like him and that I should consider his "personality/attitude" as extra bonus with the deal. I paid the advance of $3000 and agreed to pick up the car on Monday (since it was already closing time on Saturday). On Monday, I was forced to select one of the 3 colors that they have available though I was told on Saturday that any color is available. I insisted on running the credit check and give the interest rate upfront so that I can make a decision to finance or completely pay down the car. He told that I can make that decision later and if I dont like the financing interest rate, I could pay the car by personal checks. Since this is my 4th car purchase, I specifically asked if they accept personal checks to which he confirmed in positive. I arrived at the dealership around 6:30 PM with my wife and 2 little kids and they didn't even start processing. They put my file to finance department around 7PM and Sales person attitude continued. The waiting room was horrible and dirty with no water, no coffee and not even napkins. Finally, I was called into finance dept room and I didnt like the interest rate offered and mentioned that I would pay by personal check. Instead, the finance manager dropped the interest rate by 2 points if i purchased add on items such as extended warranty, wheel protection plan etc. I took some time to make decision about extended warranty and decided to not buy any add on at which point the finance manager was clearly unhappy/agitated and told me to wait until he finishes another customer. By this time (830 PM) my kids were hungry and we had to order food from outside and the dealership didnt have even water or napkins. I was called into the office around 9PM again and I told that I will pay the entire price by personal check without buying any add on items OR financing to which he finally agreed unhappily and tried to convince me otherwise. All the paper work was signed and I wrote the personal checks, shook hands and about to leave, someone else entered the room and said that personal checks are not accepted. By that time, I had lost all my patience and didnt have the option to take another day off and didnt want to disappoint my kids or wife by not driving the car out. I was forced to buy the extended warranty with financing (that was the only option left if I had to get decent interest rate). My nightmare didnt end there. After coming home, after couple of days, when I was looking at the contract, the price that was given to me was higher than the truecar estimate, but the papers were signed by me. After a month, when i went to collect the license plates, I was forced to pay additional money because they didnt collect enough for license/registration. I wonder how they wouldnt know how much it would cost for license/registration in a state that they are operating. Also, how can i be forced to pay when my negotiation was on the OTD price. Please avoid this dealership at any cost.
Do not believe in Sales Team.
The sales team is completely knowledge less. Do not believe what they say, do you own homework before buying a car. Also ask them to put things on paper before you make your final decision about buying here. Also do not believe in their offering while negotiating the final price. Or ask them to give in written to avoid all kinds of future confusions. The Honda cars are good, but not "Open Road Honda".
CAR BUYING MADE ENJOYABLE
We had entered the dealership and were looking for a parking spot when a gentleman came over and asked if we needed help.He found a spot and guided my wife into it. He introduced himself and little did we realize that his level of personal attention to our requirements would only increase. Yung Shin was guided us through the buying process in a most pleasant way. He was knowledgeable about the Accord we were looking at and clearly explained the features of the car. He accompanied us to all the other station that go into the buying process. I'm 83 and have bought quite a few cars and am not easily impressed. Look for this man, he's good.
Long Wait Time. No respect for Customers
I really had a bad experience at Open Road Honda. The SalesMan & Sales Manager themselves are not aware of the Honda deals which are advertised online on their website. They take hours to come up with prices. The SalesMan are not knowledgable and have no respect for customers. They made me wait for an hour and then came up with ridiculously high price for which they did not have rational explanation.
Appointment for Airbag replacement - Worst
VERY VERY VERY POOR SERVICE. I got an mail about the recall for airbag replacement. I scheduled an appointment online. But they cancelled my appointment without providing another schedule. I tried calling them few times and no one responded. They should have rescheduled my appointment before cancelling mine or at least they should have attended my call to schedule appointment. I have never seen such a irresponsible customer service.
Great Experience, even better Customer Service
I never write online reviews, but my experience with Open Road Honda was spectacular. Mr. YONG SHIN was very personable, informative, and truly cared about what I wanted from our vehicle. He was just wonderful. And, the customer service was unmatched. He tried his best to make the whole car buying process as quick and painless as possible, and really worked with me to get me behind the car I wanted at a comfortable price. I would recommend this dealership, and it is definitely one of the best in the area.
Great service, helpfull people
We appreciate the personal attention every step of the way . It was good to be informed of the next step in the process and we liked being accompanied by our salesman all the way to the end until we drove out the door. Thank you. It was a good experience. For: Yong Shin
ASK FOR YONG SHIN- THE ABSOLUTE BEST EXPERIENCE!!!
I have been purchasing/leasing my vehicles from Open Road Honda for over 15 years - the best experience I have had was this year was with YONG SHIN- he leased me my new 2015 Honda Accord! Yong was very professional and focused on satisfying all my requirements- up to and including the PRICE. He went over and above to get me the exact price for an even better car than I came in to lease! I would highly recommend anyone looking for a HONDA to come into Open Road Honda and ASK FOR YONG SHIN= YOU WILL HAVE THE ABSOLUTE BEST EXPERIENCE!!!!!
We had a very good experience leasing a new Honda. Yong Shin met us at the door and walked us through the whole process. He was friendly and helpful. He patiently worked through several options to guide us to the one that was best for us. We did not feel rushed or pressured.
Bait and Switch
This is the old school nightmare car buying experience. Complete bait and switch. I called, negotiated a price, was told to come in and speak to the salesperson. When I called to ensure they'd have all the paperwork ready to go for signature suddenly the salesperson 'Ray' said he 'didn't understand' and that they'd sold that very car today after he had time to digest the price I negotiated from an earlier conversation with 'Marsha'. This car was a 'new listing' and I was ready to finance, put a down-payment down and show up with cash. Buyer beware. They are not honest. Lost a lot of respect and gained a bad reputation over a few thousand dollars.
This is the best dealership in my experience. Yong Shin is an excellent professional. Management is very nice and encourage a friendly and welcoming work environment.

Good place to buy a Honda Car
Good place to buy a car. Yong shin helped us .they came up with a best deal for me to lease a Honda Civic car.
Worst costumer service
Today 06/08/2015 I had the absolute worst experience of my life at a dealership. I went in with myhusband to Get a car at ooen road Honda Edison, NJ.After we were with the representative for 2 hours which included the test drive we then began to discuss numbers. He came back with an extremely high unrealistic figure. Now, we understand that this is apart of the dealership's strategy however, when we began to ask the simple question of how this payment was so high, He tried to dismiss my question as if we misunderstood him. He then stated that we were too far off on the payment and I asked him based on what? I asked for the APR that being used or the money rate ( I got these terms from google). And he said 2.9% I said this was very high but even at that rate the payment should not be that high. I asked how this was calculated and he stated that there was no need to speak to the finance person and refused to get someone who could, instead, he stated that if I was not comfortable with the deal we could "always just leave". We got up and walked out and no one spoke to us as we left. I have never experienced such poor customer service in all of my life, and both my husband and I are in the customer service industry.
Best Car Purchase Ever
My car unexpectedly died, and I dreaded the thought of buying a new car because of my previous experiences with car salesmen. However, upon the recommendation of a good friend who had purchased a car from Yong Shin 6 months ago and was thrilled by her experience I went to Open Road Honda and requested Yong Shin. My experience can only be described as fantastic! I got a great car at a great price. There was no push to buy. Even when I was considering a more expensive car, based on info I gave Yong Shin it was determined that the smaller car would meet my needs. Wow, a salesman who really cares about my needs. Yong Shin was terrific in helping with getting the insurance when my car insurance company wasn't returning my calls. He got it done in 5 minutes. After I purchased the car he spent more than half hour going over all the features of the car - saving me a lot of time. He stated more than once if I had any questions or concerns to please call him.On a scale from 1 to 5, Yong Shin is definitely a 10. If you need a car look no further than Yong Shin at Open Road Honda, you will not be disappointed.
bad experience with service dept.
The service dept. does not return phone calls honestly and I have really bad experience with Adam for follow up and scheduling appointment. I wouldn't use the service department again. Plus, before I had to come back to them for wheel alignment that was poorly done.
Pleasant Experience of New Car Purchase
Our experience of new car purchase from Edison Honda was wonderful. Our sales rep Yong Shin was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. After selection of a car and completion of necessary paperwork, Yong Shin found a scratch mark on the vehicle. He helped us choose another car and let us choose a different color of our liking. The overall experience was very rewarding.
Crap customer service
They will try everything to get the sale but after the purchase you mean nothing to them! They are only about car sale numbers! Promised free oil changed I never got them! Missing wheel lock from vehicle I wanted replaced and they tried charging me for it! It was never included in car! Took them weeks to refund money they owed my wife!! WEEKS!!!
Open Road Honda in Edison made leasing my first new car a wonderful experience. They were honest and helpful in explaining the process. I am very happy with my car and I would recommend Open Road to anyone/everyone! Theresa is great!

Firendly, Courteous and Professional Service
Had a wonderful service experience and would like to thank everyone for being so nice and helpful. On May 02nd, Sat. we (my wife, our 2 sons and myself) went to Open Road Honda just to shop and have an Market idea. Crystal Graham, Mike Davidiv & Akram assisted us. Mike us with us from the beginning to the closing of the transaction. Mike kept us up to date on the vehicle the whole time. Akram - Manager was an absolute gentleman and very patient with us despite how busy it was. Their active, courteous & friendly service and knowledgeable discussion convinced us to make the healthy decision on the same day and we came back home with New HONDA ACCORD, 2015. This is not the end yet - they followed up with me via phone if I had any concern or issues. If you decide to buy car, you should definitely consider checking it out. Thanks to Open Road Honda Team for their outstanding service. Keep up with the great service!
Great experience at Open Road Honda in Edison, NJ
Jibron and Hameed at Open Road Honda (Pre-owned Department) worked hard to make my buying experience an A+! I received a very fair trade-in price for my old car and a great price on my new one. Everyone stayed past closing time until my financing went through so that I could take my new car home that day. There a few minor issues that I needed help with regarding my new car, and Jibron and Hameed happily went the extra mile to make sure that I was satisfied. The new car facility is very nice and thankfully had snacks and drinks available for my kids. I don't think that I could have had a better buying experience. I highly recommend this dealership!
Just leased a 2015 honda civic lx from this dealership, mr jessie legaspi the sales and leasing consultant is the one who attended to us is very accomodating and has all the answers to all our questions regarding leasing a car , we got the car at the price we want , mr. Julian Sanchez the business manager also did a great job in our buying process, great job gentlemen, i defenitely recommend open road honda edison to my friends.
Ney K. & Ines Guerrero April 25, 2015My wife and I were shopping for a new car and a friend recommended Open Road Honda in Edison, NJ. We had shared with him that we were hesitant due to past negative experiences where we felt pressured to make decisions we weren't comfortable with; but from the moment we walked through the doors of the Open Road Honda dealership, we were extremely confident that our vehicle needs were going to be attained. We were personally received at the door by Mr. Yong Shin, Sales & Leasing Consultant, in a very courteous and respectful manner. He was expecting us and knew us by name. He immediately made us comfortable and introduced us to Mr. Jim De Marco, Manager, who in the same pleasant tone welcomed us and made sure we had everything we needed available to us to make our car leasing experience a comfortable and enjoyable one.Mr. Yong Shin took us through the entire process providing us with all the details and information we needed to know about the Honda CRV LX AWD we were leasing to ensure we could make an informed decision. He was very knowledgeable about the car details, was very helpful, and best of all pleasant and polite. He anticipated questions we might have about the car, and about our future servicing and car care needs. Mr. Yong Shin is very knowledgeable of his trade, the Honda brand, and the vehicle we were obtaining. He is a courteous and pleasant person. He allowed us all the time we needed to ensure we understood everything we needed to know about our new car. Every member of Open Road Honda personnel we engaged with were courteous, polite and very knowledgeable of their function. Even the ever daunting financing process was made an amiable and pleasant experience by Mr. Ali. Our personal experience at Open Road Honda was a very pleasant one. We highly recommend Open Road Honda Dealership and will continue utilizing them for all our future car needs. We rate them as a Superior business that provides customers with a great product, remarkable care and excellence in service.
excellent customer service

I would like to thank Rupal Amin who helped me lot..
Didn't honor the commitment they made after sale.
Negative stars..... Leased 2014 Honda Odyssey and the sales rep offered 3 years free service with the lease and I called them for the first service and nobody was aware of that and they failed to honor the service. Didn't honor the commitment they made after sale. I don't recommend to anyone.
Open Road Honda is The Best Dealer!
I purchased my current car (Honda Fit 2007) at this dealer 8 years ago. I rated all of my car, sales man, service and repair department, and ... top rate. I came back and purchased a new car (Honda Fit 2015) yesterday, I feel very comfortable and excellent experience. A lot of thanks for this dealer!
MY WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE AT OPEN ROAD HONDA
I HAVE ALWAYS HAD A WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE AT OPEN ROAD HONDA . MY SALESMAN JAE KIM WAS VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE AND HELPFUL THROUGHOUT MY WHOLE PURCHASING PROCESS. THE BUSINESS MANAGER IVAN WAS VERY HELPFUL ALSO. I HAVE PREVIOUSLY PURCHASED MY LAST HONDA FROM OPEN ROAD WHICH WAS A 2011 HONDA PILOT TOURING AND THE HONDA I PURCHASED NOW IS A 2015 HONDA CRV MODEL EX. THE STAFF WAS VERY NICE AND THE LOUNGE WITH FLAT SCREEN TELEVISIONS AND SNACKS COFFEE AND SODAS AT NO CHARGE TO THE CUSTOMER WAS VERY NICE. I WILL CONTINUE TO PURCHASE ALL OF MY FUTURE HONDAS AT OPEN ROAD . I AM VERYSATISFIED.
absolute worst customer service
First thing they told me oh you came out in this weather to buy a car must be pretty urgent (xxx)... Can't get out of work over weekdays .. I am sorry that I came over weekend as per my comfort.. The guy spent wasting 15 mins of our time. When i asked for exact oop cost, he brings his manager who says go online you will get the info. (xxx) My wife who is new to the country later asked me, what happened back there ... I had no idea what should I say...
BE AWARE OF Additional Charges
The invoice price is fair, but BE AWARE of the additional charges in the final price. It charges dealer prep for $95 plus tax, which basically is a car wash, putting of foot mat (Honda's standard mat) on your car, and some minor things that they are supposed to do for free. The additional charges also include a "security etching" for $199 plus tax, which is a bunch of etching stickers placed on car body. It does NOT include window etching. If you buy a D.I.Y kit, which costs around $40, it gives you both window etching and body etching sticker. When you ask them why no window etch, they will say window etching is out of date, ugly and they don't do it anymore. But, it still charge you $199. It also charges $498 documentary fee, which contains $290 for clerk fee and $200 for transmittal fee. Well, the fee seems to be more than a lawyer's hourly charges, in my opinion. This additional fee could add another $800 to the final price you paid. The best part of this is those fee are in a PRE-PRINT Form, which makes you think they are mandatory. BE AWARE those charges, don't be fooled by the invoice price. Check other dealers if they charge those additional fee.
Bad customer service
They don't talk politely to customer. AND they have this weird policy of drop/pick policy for 5mile radious whereas all other dealerships have a very flexible policy...and they server up till 3pm. Very rude guys..as if they think they are DOING A FAVOR TO A CUSTOMER!!!
Very good experience
Had a good experience and the customer service was good . Mr Mikhel kalil was very helpful. He made my job easy .will recommend open road honda to my family and friends for sure .
Excellent prices and service
I have purchased three Honda Accords over the years from Open Road, most recently in December 2014. My experience has always been that they have consistently beat competitor prices and continue to provide excellent customer service through their service center. The dealership's General Manager, Hassan R., is outstanding-both in his professionalism towards customers and his management of sales and service personnel. I shop there with confidence and trust, which has been built over years of great salesmanship and service. If you are looking to buy or lease a new Honda, go to Open Road Honda in Edison-chances are you'll not only be happy, but will be going back to them again and again whenever you're in the market for a new car!
excellent customer service
I was happy with the customer service and enjoyed working with Joseph is a excellent employee and willing to shop at the Honda dealership once again.
I just leased a new 2015 Honda Accord with Yong my salesman. It was nothing like I expected Yong was kind, knowledgeable and very patient with me during the process not to mention in a very painless time length. I would recommend him !!
Excellent service departament. George G. and everyone In the service dept are knowledgable and friendly. He always explains everything to me about my vehicle and takes care of me. I would recommend this dealership to family and friends. Patricia Davico
Thank you Jesse
Bought a CRV 2015 , very happy with how the entire deal went. I met Jesse Legaspi from the sales team. We looked and discussed various available cars. What I liked about Jesse is that he never pushed me to buy a particular model. He was a great listener and willing to cooperate as per my requirement. We also had a good negotiation on the price and he was patience enough to work out the best numbers for both .
Wonderful service experience!
Had a wonderful service experience and would like to thank everyone for being so nice and helpful. Ron Krusius assisted me and was an absolute gentleman and very patient with me despite how busy it was. He kept me up to date on the vehicle the whole time and I just wanted to write a review so people who read this know how good of an experience I had! Thank you also to Neil and Mike in service for being so nice. It was a pleasure meeting you all!
I just purchased my Honda Accord which I am very happy with. The sales person Gary Liu has been absolutely wonderful to me and my wife. He always has a great attitude and a genuine willingness to help and be extremely honest. I wouldn't think of buying a car anywhere else. Service is the most important part of a car buying experience and I really enjoyed the service there. Thank you Gary!David Xu
A Great Experience
When I bought my 2015 Honda Civic, my salesman, Luke, was friendly, knowledgeable, patient with all my questions and gave me a great price. He made the experience a lot of fun and very satisfying.
best buying experience!!
I'm very pleased with choosing open road honda of Edison. If anyone is interested in purchasing a vehicle, than this is the dealership to visit. Joseph Synosky, my salesperson was outstanding in providing a constant selection of various vehicles. I was looking for a specific color, style, trim and Joseph always kept in touch with me regarding inventory on hand. His diligence and effort finally paid off in my car being purchased to my extreme satisfaction. His honesty and perseverance in researching vehicles is a credit to the dealership. Highly recommended!
Great service and friendly staff- highly recommend
I heard about Open Road Honda edison service is good and thought of checking myself once - so this time, i chose Open Road Honda Edison for servicing my car. He Listened to all my queries about car servicing and resolved them to the complete satisfaction !! Mike Gworek service dept
I've had 2 major issues with my brand new 2014 CRV. But the second one made me leave a service dept forever! After a certain Honda service dept played with my brand new CRV for 7 WEEKS..including never calling back,I called Mike Gworek who diagnosed and corrected the engine light that would never go out in 24 hours!!! I met Mike years ago at my local Honda (10 min away) but unfortunately for me he left for Open Road 35 min AWAY fr me. Surrounded by many Honda's dealers I chose another local one for service but out of complete desperation I called Mike who said " thats rediculous..an engine light should not be on for 7 weeks! Come on down!!. " Sooo From now on I'll do my best to use Open Road Honda 35 MINUTES AWAY from me just becsuse they have the best service man ever!!Thanks Mike!!!Margaret "Willie" Gartenlaub
The Associate Mr. Adam Arnault was very nice . The overall experience was excellent .i would continue to take my car for maintenance to this service area.
My wife and I are repeat customers. We recently leased a new Civic. Received the best guidance based upon our needs and the deal was better than expected. We are always treated extremely well and will be a customer for life.
Won't budge on price, won't give more on trade
jirab the salesman said final price is what they showed on website for a 2011 CRV EX. Would not come down any. Then the insult was offering me $4,000 on a fully loaded Nissan Maurano. As I left the manager said :We can't make a deal?"
I have bought new Honda Accord from Open Road Honda, Edison. It was great experience dealing with Mr. Yong Shin. He was very prompt for any questions/calls/text messages. I would surely recommend this dealership to others. Expecting same type of service from Open Road Team.Thank You!!

She really helped me out with every question i had. She directed me towards two great sales men. i was looking for a honda accord coupe, when i got there they showed me the exact car i wanted. the prices were excellent and the proccess was the smoothest i have ever had!! i reccomend this dealership to anyone! they are so caring here!! some dealerships try to scam you but they did nothing but want to help me get the car i could afford. I will definitely be coming back here for all my future cars! Thank you open road honda!!
Lisa persuad was very helpful with the information on what exactly I was looking for. I would recommend this place to any one looking to purchase a Honda automobile. Looking forward to do business with her in the future.

This is my fourth time doing business with Honda.I was helped by Rupal Amin and she did a great job of taking care of all my questions and ensuring that I had a great experience. I will definitely keep coming back.
Kalpesh Shah. Excellent service
I bought my Honda accord from open road Honda Edison. I called Rupal and she helped me through whole purchase very kindly. I referred two other people to Rupal and they also bought Odyssy and Acoord in two months. She is really very friendly.
Upon calling Open Road Honda via telephone and speaking to the Used car sales "Manager" John Cacoilo, he assured me the used car I was looking at was $15,998 out the door. We took the 2+ hour trip out to NJ from NY and upon arrival we were greeted by John and given one of his used car "salesmen." After the test drive he proceeded to tell us that the car was not $15,998 but instead $16,995 plus additonal fees such as a $500 Document fee, a $300 DMV Fee, a $95 car wash fee, and a $195 " body etching fee" - all totaling $1,100 dollars in unnecessary fees. Upon confronting John, the used car sales "manager", about him lying to us about pricing he became rude and confrontational and replied " so what!? we need to make profits. Every dealer charges paperwork fees and car wash fees" LOL - Thanks John, but we took our business elsewhere.Bottom line: If you enjoy playing pricing games and paying bogus fees, shop at this car dealer. Make sure you speak to John for the best price.
Gary is best
Gary is the best help to get perfect deal. Was so late at nite but he was not rushing at all.very friendly...arpit patel
Service was great kim kept me in the loop.everything was clearly explained Thank you as always c schwindt
A few months ago, my family was looking for a good, safe car for my younger brother who had just gotten his license. We had gone to many dealerships and got the run around with the sales people and did not feel comfortable buying a car from them. At Open Road Honda, We met Cathy Kraus and finally felt we could trust a dealership. Her attention to detail and customer service was absolutely incredible. It is a not brainer that we will go back for our future cars.
The team and Dario Albarron provided excellent service. I purchased two Hondas in one month from open road. Great dealership, friendly staff, would recommend to friends and family.
I haven't purchased a car since 1996, so I assumed I'd be dealing with overbearing and aggressive sales reps, but I was surely proven wrong! Cathy Kraus helped me find what I needed, and got me through the process very smoothly. She was very knowledgeable, friendly and patient, which made buying a car a very pleasurable experience. In fact, she still says, "hello," when I bring in the car to get serviced! Top notch customer service!I would definitely recommend her to family and friends.
Thank you, Cathy!
I had a wonderful experience at Open Road Honda. The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable. Cathy Kraus was very pleasant and professional; she didn't waste my time with sales talk and nonsense. I told her what I wanted, and she made the process as smooth as could be. I would definitely recommend my family and friends to do business with Cathy and Open Road Honda.
Buying a car was never this easy
I spoke to a young lady named Gina over the phone and then decided to come into open road honda after speaking with her because she came across as very well informed, patient and someone i wouldnt mind working with. I ended up buying a car there and i must admit it was the smoothest purchase i have ever made. She made the experience that much greater. I will definitely be back. THANK YOU GINA!
THANK YOU Jibran!!
My, actually OUR (including my wife), experience with Open Road Honda was EXCELLENT!!! With the staffs, especially our sales rep JIBRAN, and even the facility packed with amenities that allow hours of car buying process bearable. We bought a 2012 Honda Pilot from Jibran at a price no other dealers could match (visited 4 other dealers before coming to Open Road). Albeit the long drive from Phialdelphia PA, the trip was well worth the effort. I have listed below things I liked about doing business with Jibran: 1. Gets all the numbers right the first time (you may experience that some dealers will try that "Oh, I have made a mistake calculating the numbers" line) 2. No intimidation maneuvers (bringing in Sales, General, Finance Manager to do their job) 3. Not making a scene (at the hint of deal going south, they'll bring above three amigos to tell you that you can't afford the car or get a cheaper car that you can afford in a most demeaning manner possible) 4. Honesty (Jibran told me upfront what he can do and cannot do. I had several numbers in my head when I first decided to buy the car. I started from the bottom and reached the happy median) I encourage anyone to do business with Jibran and Open Road Honda. Thank you again Jibran!!
Thank you Jibran!!!
Thank you Jibran for making a car buying experience an excellent one!!! I visited Open Road Honda in July with my wife to see 2012 Honda Pilot touring and ended up buying it with Jibran's help! He is honest and was straight forward. No intimidation tactics by bringing in Sales manager or finance manager to tell me I can't afford the car or to look for cheaper model!! The car was cheaper than any other dealers I have visited (four dealers in philly). Jibran is definitely and highly recommended!!
Bought a used BMW 3 series, great experience and service
Went to look for a used BMW with a trade-in option of my car. Met the sales rep Gibran and did a test drive and started with our negotiation. The process was smooth unlike with other dealers which experienced last 3 weeks, the sales rep and sales manager was really good with the intention to sell the vehicle benefit to both party. I came out with my dream car in less than 3 hours with all the paper work done.Overall the experience was great, no complaints. Will definitely recommend to my friends and others.
Great Experience with Open Road Honda at Edison
I had a very good shopping experience at Open Road Honda. Jibran Muhammad is truly a professional client advisor. He is very patient when answering my question. Also, when i write him an email , he always replies me very fast. The most important is that we ended up with a very nice price for my car!I will recommend all of my friend from Rutgers visit Open Road Honda Edison for purchasing new/used car!
Went in to buy a Honda Accord. Was brought in by online department. We are told Patrick will help us. First we go into his cubicle. There is no extra chair. I am standing while my friends sit. No courtesy to offer a chair. When asked , told me to pull a chair from another office. We havent seen the car yet but he has credit application ready. Asked him if we can see the car, he says we do not have it in this parking lot. Told him the deal online says something else and you are saying something else. His response is its perfectly legal. The Ad was written by a lawyer. We own 5 dealerships.... Then he goes like you dont have a credit yet and your co signer is not here so there is no point. Then he goes like the person who gave you online quote is not here either. Anyhow I wanted to leave and not waste time. One of the manager came in and changed the sales person. The car came out from the same lot. The person we dealt with later on was nice. The senior guy came out and apologized too. I have bought multiple cars ranging from honda, toyotas to BMW and even cars from their own dealership but have never been dealt with this way. They certainly need to work on it if they do not want returning customers to go to other dealerships.
Good experience - bought a used 2011 Honda CR-V LX
I was overall very pleased with buying my used car at Open Road Honda. The salesman Sam could very fast identify the car I was looking for, gave me a lot of explanation, we did a test-drive together and I got relevant information, and although the price-negotation took us quite some time he did his very best efforts to come to a deal. The only thing that I did not like are the extra costs that come on top of the listed price, which resulted in the more difficult part of the price negotiation, Open Road Honda could be more transparant on this area. I needed quite some help with all the formalities on registration, getting an insurance etc.. and Sam was very helpfull and responsive on this during the entire process. My car also still needed some service on the brakes which was very well taken care of by Stan. Professional and excellent service.Overall a good experience.
Arsalan is one of the best salesman ever !!!
Unfortunately, management could not work out a deal but I wanted to give ARSALAN the best salesman award we have ever met. He was beyond helpful and went way above and beyond to get the best deal possible. If you are looking for a Honda, see Arsalan at Open Road Honda in Edison, NJ.
MISLEADING SALES PROMOTIONS, FALSE ADVERTISEMENT
First of all let me start by saying, these people do not respect customers. They let them roam around freely around the lot without any acknowledgement or a simple "can I help you?". 2nd of all, they do not respect your intellect and simply think you're stupid and you won't read what the asterisk next to a price means; In other words the "fine line". They had a sign in the showroom which had a 2013 Honda Accord EX advertised for $20,995 which had an asterisk next to it. The asterisk read the flowing on the bottom of the sign: "*Price excludes destination, tax, and fees, plus military/college grad rebate. Above special is non-transferable and can not be combined with any dealer specials, coupons etc. Call dealer for details. Expires 6/2/14." I typed that exactly as it was written underneath the sign. Our sales associate then proceeded to crunch numbers and added 20,995+500 student+500 military+ fees and taxes which brought the price of the vehicle close to 25,500. I then asked him why was he adding the 500+500 rebates in the price if they aren't included as per the asterisk, meaning if the price advertised on the sign is without any rebates or discounts, why is the rebate added on to the advertised price? He then had the audacity to tell me that I was reading the sign wrong and questioned my intelligence. I'M THE CUSTOMER BRO! YOU NEVER TELL A CUSTOMER HE'S WRONG! NEVER! I've been in retail most of my life and worked at various retail chains/stores and despite of customer disputes about pricing I have never told any customer that he's wrong about anything, instead I would accept the mistake and simply apologize or walk away and find out correct information. This particular individual was an egotistic sales person with 5 stars to his rank or he was just simply tired and had a long day. But in any case, how can you add a $1000 rebate to a price which the asterisk clearly states that it excludes all fees, taxes, rebates? His explanation was that, the price is with rebate and since you do not qualify we add the rebates on top of the advertised price. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the purpose of an asterisk or a fine line is to tell people that the base price do not include any rebates or any other restrictions? I mean if anything it should've read that it includes the $500 grad and $500 military discount and since you don't qualify we will mark up the vehicle a $1000 MORE than the advertised price. He then gets a manager or a supervisor whom also tells me that I'm wrong and I read the sign wrong or interpreting it wrong. I also told him the same thing but he seemed to side with the sales guy. We then stopped arguing due to lack of these peoples integrity. We obviously wasted his and our time on a beautiful memorial day and simply walked out just the way the sales guy walked away from us after shaking our hands. I will definitely contact honda corporate and have them clarify this promotion as this individual said that it wasn't in the dealerships hands and the promotion was actually passed down from honda corporate. His exact words were "this is how it works, this is how it gets people in" I meant to ask him if he meant that "since we're deceptive and manipulative about our promotions that's how we trap people into deals."
Hello, I just bought the Honda mini van yesterday and the dealer was very helpful, energetic, pleasant and very enthusiastic. I would give this dealer ship 10/10 and the dealer I guess his name was Mohammad Jibran 20 out of 15.
I have purchased several cars from Open Road and they are honest and professional. Teresa Suchcicki in Sales is fantastic - she is knowledgeable and helpful.
Best price in Tri-State area for my 2014 Honda Odyssey EX-L
Open Road Honda had the best OTD price hands-down. My wife and I spoke with Jay Kim. I highly recommended him. He's very courteous and accomodating. He was really hustling going from the car to the manager to get everything done. He's very hard working. I would definitely do buy another Honda from him. Also, Michelle from the internet team was very helpful. She gave the best OTD price that no one could match and they kept their word all the way to us signing on the dotted line. The only drawback would be not getting the 1.9% APR we were quoted in addition to the flex cash, but that was more on Honda corp. In the end, my wife and I were happy with our purchase and look to enjoy this Odyssey for years to come with our newborn son.Jeff P.

agree on a price, then they change it when they take your deposit, no apologies and said take it or leave it so i left it , all that time wasted to find out they change the price at the end of doing paper work i highly NEVER NEVER recommend this dealership to anyone, and would buy any other brand before driving near the edison honda dealership on route1

Jibran was very courteous and helpful during our visit to the showroom. We told him our needs and what we don't need and he figured out the perfect used car from the lot. He was very considerate and showed patience toward our negotiations. Thanks Jibran you understood what we wanted and delivered it to us.My husband and I have bought 4 Hondas from this dealership starting from 1999 to now 2014. Not only do we buy from here, but we never end up anywhere else. There is no second opinion/dealership because the price/deal is too good to pass up. Thank you Open Road Honda of Edison to take very good care of us.Regards,T. Patel

Went there, told the guy I needed oil change. They took the key and the car. I went in, sit down, and waited. Two hours passed, I asked what happened, is the car going to be ready anytime soon? they said they NEEDED my confirmation to do an oil change, and nothing has been done and the car is just sitting there parked. What the ****? I waited two hours there, and there were at least 7 employees walking around and they couldn't ask: oh why is there a piece of paper with a set of keys sitting there for TWO fricking hours? Why did they just take my keys and car after I told the guy I need an oil change without even confirming what needs to be done to the car? If it wasn't for the free oil change service that comes with the car I bought there, I would never service my vehicle there. The service department is horrible and assumes that customers know their work flow. Look elsewhere when you want someone to really care about servicing your car. Not to mention the ridiculous prices for simple things like changing filters and "cleaning" (both over $70)--- then again it's a dealer so I did not deduct points from there. But keep this in mind, when you pay for their services, you are not paying for speedy and reliable customer service.
Great experience!! Great dealership !
I had an excellent experience at this dealership! Mike Morais was professional, helpful , and made the entire process smooth and easy! Ralph is always helpful and goes out of his way. The dealership is well run, organized and not offensive like some of the other places I have been in the past. I have sent my father and sister to buy cars there since my deal! Will definitely go back again!!!

I was looking for a used Honda car around 10k$ from private party. Fortunately I went to Open Honda dealer in Edison and met Jibran who is a sales Associate. Jibran is very friendly and very patient to enough to provide various options available for me. Finally I got the Honda Accord with 33k miles for a good price. Surely I'll recommend Jibran to my friends for any assistance in buying the car in Open Honda.

Went into the dealership looking to trade in my Honda accord and get a newer used Honda accord and left the same day with a great car. Sales associate Muhammad Jibran, was very helpful in making my trip to the dealership a success. His manager (didn't get his name) and the gentleman in the finance department all helped make it happen. Everyone was very friendly and i would recommend Open Road Honda to anyone looking to buy a car.
Fixed my issue
They fixed my problem thanks ralph and ray..... After a couple of mis communications ray helped me get a new car and resolve the old issue
I went to Open Road Honda for leasing a new CR-V. The manager Todd behaved quite unethically. The deal they initially offered on a CR-V LX AWD was for $290. However, they refused to show the details for that offer. I had a car to trade in and they appraised the car, increased the Sale price of the car, used the trade-in value to offset it and showed me an offer with details wherein the monthly payment was $290. I refused that and asked him to get a better deal. He came back with a new offer showing me discounts from previously increased fictitious base prices, to show me how great a deal I was getting. When I caught his bluff, he got agitated and did not want to do the deal. Stay away fr this dealership as if you are not careful, they will take advantage of you. Thankfully, I walked out of this dealership. Stay away from Todd as much as you can. I had done business with this dealership in the past, but just because of this guy, I have such a bad taste in my mouth.
Stay away scam artist
Had the car for a year and engine went. At time of purchase I was told car had 5 years ... 80,000 mile warrenty and had a manufacture warrenty with it. Now that the engine has gone I called dodge and apparently the car had a 3 year 36,000 mile warrenty and at the time that I purchase the car their was no warrenty with the car. So now I gotta take them to court and my lawyer told me they pretty much committed warrenty fraud... They posted the warrenty details and told me it had a warrenty just to sell the car.... So now I'm gotta take them to court just to get his taken care of.... Don't trust them STAY AWAY from dealer...

My lease was up Henry Lei called talked to my husband made a deal on phone. Went in to see what they had. Deal was met no running back and forth what Henry quoted is the deal we got. Great experience ! Henry explained everything to us, even how to set up all the features in the car standing out in the snow. Thank you Henry. Our seventh vehicle out of Open Road.

My wife and I were definitely rushed by Frank Yu (sales person) and Jason, the manager to take delivery of the vehicle the same day we stopped by the dealership to shop for a car. The entire experience was not relaxed. My wife and I were kept at the dealership from 9:30 a.m. till 2:00 P.m. No lunch break!! Oh, Frank gave us couple small bags of corn chip and bottle water. Gee, thanks. We were not given an opportunity to inspect the vehicle while the paper work was being prepared. Finally, I refused to sign the paper work unless I saw the car. Then the car brought to us for inspection. Looking back, it was last day of November and it is probably why we were rushed to take delivery. I recommend this dealership because all dealerships are more or less the same, and this one is NOT HORRIBLE.

Our dissatisfaction is not with the salesperson, but...
Our dissatisfaction is not with the salesperson, but rather with their management's unwillingness to meet their price commitment and their insistence on last minute dealer add-ons.We had given their internet department the price quote we received from another dealer, and Open Road stated in an e-mail that they could definitely beat the other dealer's price. In a follow up e-mail to schedule an appointment, we expressly stated that if there were any surprise costs such as undercoating, window etching, LoJack, pinstriping etc., we would not be interested in dealing with them.Open Road assured us that their pricing was clear and there would be no surprises. Since we had bought our first CRV from them a few years earlier, we felt confident that we would get a got deal as a returning customer.Needless to say, when we started to discuss price, we were told that they would not beat the quote from the other dealer, but rather just match it. The manager was adamant and would not budge. Secondly, when we asked to provide the total cost at that sale price, the dealer added an exorbitant $398 charge for documentation, $95 to clean and prep the car, and $199 for window etching. We stated that these charges were unreasonable and we would not pay for prep and window etching and that the doc fee should be reduced. The salesperson Teresa got a rejection from the manager who was not even willing to meet us part way, so we walked out.Two days later we bought a 2014 CRV EX AWD from another dealer who kept their word and honored their price quote and had no last minute add-ons.

Folks, be very careful before you consider buying or leasing through Open Road. They will NOT properly process your license plates on any vehicles that you turn in and, when you call in or visit for assistance on getting more information about where your license plates might be, you can expect to be treated like garbage. We found out the hard way. Apparently Open Road failed to properly surrender our plates and now someone is driving around NJ, racking up tickets against our plates that should have been surrendered by Open Road. That's not just irresponsible, that's illegal. So why is this happening? After several conversations with friends and family in law enforcement, it's very clear that someone at Open Road is simply handing out sets of plates to friends/family, etc. instead of properly surrendering the plates. We've already started working with the DMV to get to the bottom of this. Should be interesting.Bottom line: Don't let this happen to you. When it comes to pick out a new car, save yourself a lot of time and trouble by skipping a visit to Open Road.

I had a very good experience here buying a 2013 Honda Civic. The salesman, Yong Shin, was very helpful and honest the whole time. The financing department worked hard and got me a very good interest rate. I am completely satisfied with my car.
Great Place to do business
My third time around with .Open Road Honda Some times the Sales people may change but he service and the level of attentiveness stays constant. . Competitive Pricing,, Convenient location and . great service. Don't buy or Lease a Honda until you at least walked in their door and told them what you needed..I live in Monmouth County but it was worth the ride

We leased a new Honda Pilot from Open Road Honda and traded in our old Pilot earlier this week. The salesperson, Yong Shin, was very knowledgeable, friendly and not pushy. We were considering either buying or leasing, and he patiently discussed the various options with us and worked with his manager to reach a deal. Overall, we were pleased with the experience, and I have already recommended Yong to my friend who is considering a new Honda.
