They have the best selection of used C-Maxes I could find! Picked one out, paid a fair price, and drove away! Made the car ready quickly and paperwork was smooth. Don't be fooled by their older building - a new one is on the way!

Westmont Lincoln's service department is outstanding! I purchased my 2017 Lincoln MKZ back in August, and I have to say that their pick-up and drop off service is phenomenal! I had scheduled my first oil change, about a week ago but could not take the car in. The service department sent an Ogden employee to my office to pick up the car. Two hours later, my car was delivered back to me, serviced and fully cleaned and washed. Talk about red carpet service!

Unethical used vehicle sales tactics

1
Invictus on 09/16/2016

Overall Experience: 1.0

This outdated showroom/office had hit or miss service and a very questionable and what I consider to be an unethical marketing practice for used vehicles. When I visited to check out a vehicle advertised as "Perfect", I found several significant issues with the exterior condition of the vehicle including a hole on the exterior of the vehicle, which the salesperson and the sales manager said they knew nothing about. When I started talking about the price of the vehicle, the Finance Manager claimed that the price already reflects the condition of the vehicle, so they are not really willing to negotiate very much. There are several issues with this: 1. They seem to be marketing less than perfect cars that need work as flawless vehicles, which is false advertising, perhaps just to generate foot traffic and maybe sell it to someone who hopefully doesn't notice the defects. 2. They are claiming not to know anything about the defects and downplay the significant defects as minor issues during negotiations, which indicates that someone is lying about not knowing about the defects. It seems I am not the only one who had a negative experience regarding a used vehicle transaction here. I will be posting pics of the actual ad and the pics of the actual damage that was on the vehicle soon so everyone can see for themselves. I will also be filing complaints with the pictures and their actual advertising as well.

9/7/16 For months I have been hearing commercials on WBBM Chicago featuring Pat Fitzgerald, Head Football Coach at Northwestern University, saying Ogden Lincoln of Westmont has a new Lincoln Continental for customers to see. After looking at the website and seeing there were about 30 that were "Dealer Ordered". I took that to mean they were in 'In Stock' and not cars that were pre-ordered by buyers.Shame on me for not doing more research. "Dealer Ordered" DOES NOT mean 'In Stock'. When we, my husband and me, got there with our car we hope to trade cleaned out and both sets of keys in hopes we might actually be driving home in a new car, we asked to see a new Continental. The first person we said that to said, "We would too.." They hoped to have one on-site by the end of the month. I questioned if I remembered the Fitzgerald commercial correctly.SHAME ON OGDEN LINCOLN OF WESTMONT. I heard the Fitzgerald commercial again today and it claimed the dealership has an actual car for customers to evaluate!Suffice it to say, I may still buy a Lincoln Continental but you can be sure I won't be buying it there! Several sales people looked at each other and said things like, "Do we have an ad runnnig?" I left there completely disillusioned and re-opened to door to purchasing a Benz.Too bad...I have been anticipating buying a new Continental for probably a year. I have owned two in the past and loved both.

We sent an email late afternoon and got an email back the same night from Jerry our salesperson. We setup a meeting for the next day. Within hours, we traded in our car and purchased a certified 2016 Hybrid MKZ. The process was efficient, streamlined. The team esp Jerry were all wonderful throughout the entire process. Again Jerry stands out - he was prepared, knowledgeable, professional and answered all of our questions. We are extremely pleased with our purchase.

The finance manger, Dan Salmon, said he would get a lower rate than my credit union and save me a lot of money. He not only did that but provided a warranty that was better and cheaper than my credit union . I think other opinions maybe credit related or a behavioral issue. Some people don't get a long with others when they won't agree with them. This is a solid dealership with a great staff.

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!Bought used Cadillac CTS,salesman was nice but not knowledgable about the car. No demo or explanation of features he couldn't tell me if it was front or rear whee drive! Day after purchase I turned on the AC for first time, it made a VERY/horrible loud rattle noise. I brought it in and they told me it was a $58 part but would require about $1000 in labor. Sales manager said he could have it fixed for $800 (my personal mechanic laughed at how much they wanted to charge even with their "discount"). It should have been repaired before selling a car, or if I was given proper demo by salesman at time of purchase the problem would have been identified and they could have adjusted purchase price. Even Carmax will do a walk through and check all major systems at time of sale. His answer was to just not use it to avoid noise! DON'T USE IT ? HORRIBLE CUSTOMER service!! Walked away with the problem unfixed. Sales manager was unconcerned that I was unhappy and dissatisfied. Offered no consultation to make up for selling a vehicle with majorly distracting noise and malfunction in the heating/AC system. It seems to me they were aware of the problem before selling the car and didn't care if I was dissatisfied because I wasn't dropping 70K on a Navigator. DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM THEM ! I will do my best to warn everyone I can about this dealership...

I recently purchased a 2016 Lincoln MKZ Hybrid from Mike at Ogden Lincoln of Westmont. As a female car buyer going through the car buying process without a male counter part I have never felt more at ease and sure that I was getting a fair deal. Mike had my best interest in mind and I was treated with respect at every interaction. Yes their dealership is in need of a face life but the customer service offered by Ogden Lincoln is some of the best I've experienced. I would recommend to anyone looking for a great deal and great service. Not to mention my car is incredible!

This is the worst dealership i have ever dealt with. They promise you things and then don't do what they say they are going to do. I cancelled my extended service contract 3 days after thinking it over in writing as per the contract. They said they would cancel it off my loan. But six weeks later it was still on my loan. They said they sent a check a month ago but according to them it was not cashed. I called the loan company who told me if they sent a check to cover the cost it would have been applied by the third day at most. I had to call the ford warranty office who said the dealer DID NOT cancel the policy! They in turn called the dealer and told them to DO IT. it took a couple of days for them to follow my request but it finally got done 6 weeks after i wrote the cancellation notice. Then they were mad at me for calling ford, they refused to give me the second key for my car that we agreed upon when purchasing the vehicle. Now they COMPLETELY DENY they agreed to give a a second key!! The finance manager Dan Salmon is as dishonest as they come and a big LIAR. The salesman Bob Pennington is also nothing but a dishonest salesman. Do your self a favor and save a lot of AGGRAVATION and AVOID this dealership.

I found a car that I was interested in on cars.com. As I live 3.5 hours away, I was a bit nervous about buying a car sight unseen. Fortunately, I had a relative visiting the Chicago area at the same time I saw the vehicle online. They were kind enough to stop by the dealership to inspect the car and take it for a test drive. The dealership was very forthright with everything and allowed them to take her for a drive. The car drove like a dream and was exactly as described online. There was a small surface abrasion in one spot. The dealership kindly fixed this issue. I was able to come to an agreement over the phone, put a down payment on my credit card and travel to Chicago the next week to complete the purchase. When I arrived at the dealer, they had me do a test drive and inspect the vehicle to make sure it was what I wanted. During the closing process, the salesman walked through all the warranty information and even helped me get set up on Ford's website. From start to finish, this transaction was exactly what I'd like from a car dealer.

Signed and agreed on purchasing 2012 Lexus RX350 and deposited $1500 (credit card) with $25,000 balance. Went back to the dealership with remaining amount and they increased the price of the vehicle by additional charges not mentioned/explained during initial agreement. However we still decided to pay the additional amount even though it was not on the contract but seller refused to sell the car and was very rude/dis-respectful and did not wanted to continue the transaction. we asked multiple times to complete the transaction with additional charges but he would not cooperate and forcefully refunded the $1500 back to the credit card. This was the worst customer service experience we have ever experienced and would not recommend anyone doing any business with them.

Was asked what I wanted in a vehicle. I said first off it needed to be AWD. Was assured they had what I wanted. I also said I like to look at the AWD MKS I saw online. They looked then finally said the exact one was sold. He said they had another in a different color. (of course more expensive) I said fine let's test drive it.. I test drove the car asking multiple times are you sure this is the AWD version? I was assured it was. Came back, He printed the paperwork on the car. I asked again is this AWD version? I was assured again. I started to look at the paperwork it stated FWD. What? I asked again. This time he left to check came back. Yep FWD. Then tries to tell me FWD is as good as AWD in the snow. LOL Instead of finding a AWD he kept trying to sell me the FWD. LOL Sorry to say you lost a buying customer and anybody I speak with.

Bad experience. Very rude sellers and managers. We reserved the car with 300 dollars, they promised they'll fix a dent and another minor interior defect, unfortunately they couldn't fix the dent and while fixing actually ruin the paint of the car. I liked the car, I not even bargain for a discount, I just asked them to fix this dent properly and actually got an estimate for it for them. But they didn't want to fix it, or if they will fix it basically I'll had to pay for the repair. Don't let them full you, inspect the car many times, I totally agree with many other reviews about the bad costumer service.

We have purchased many cars from Mike over the years and he has been the best at helping us find the right deal. He recently traveled with us to Joe Rizza in North Riverside and helped us find a brand new 2013 Ford C-Max. I was originally only looking at used. However the deal on the new car was a way better deal than any C-Max's they had on the lot! If Mike had not seen the car we probably would have never considered it being a used car family and all! It was a great experience at Ogden Lincoln was fantastic and they are always looking for the best deal for the customer and how the car will be most valuable to them!

I recently brought in my Navigator for service under the warranty. Because we had a miscommunication about what was covered, we were disappointed that the repairs would cost so much. But, John, the service manager was not about to let us leave unhappy. He honored what we believed the warranty covered and the repair work was outstanding. I cannot tell you how pleased we are with their customer service. This dealership truly cares about their customers. I would recommend buying from them. Ok I get that buying a used car is always a risk but it would be nice to have an honest dealership when you are a first time buyer and a women walking into the dealership by herself. I had seen this buick lacrosse online and it was everything I was looking for at the right price, I had verified with the salesman over the phone that this car infact was in great condition and had chrome wheels with no dents or imperfections, he told be that it did have chrome wheels and i could check the auto checker online. I had a long travel to the dealership and did not want to waste the trip if this car was not what it appered to be. When I got there I was informed "oops there is a small ding and few inperfections." then i took it for a test drive and when i thought i heard a noise the salesman started talking over me when i was trying to listen by saying "stop being paranoid, there is nothing wrong with this car." After returning to the dealership the salesman says, " I have never driven this car and do not know much about it." Ok so as a women i was not thinking about the chrome wheels because i was assured it had them so i was not paying attention until after the sale was completed that the tires had been switched out to alloy wheels, even though on the website it listed CHROME WHEELS in bold letters twice. The salesman tells me "to late, if you want a deal on chrome wheels i can look into that." I then asked how old is the tires and he tells me that they are the original tires that come with the car. So feeling like i had made a big mistake and did not play ball right with this dealership i proceed home feeling hopeless and dumb. After getting on the highway home i notice a slight shake and pull in the front of the car. Took it to goodyear and was told i was lucky I made it home on that tire because it is in sad shape and that the tires in the front where not even the same brand so there was no way these are the original tires. So I had to pay $300 for one tire if i wanted to drive safely. When calling back to the dealership I was told by the owner to go get the tire from goodyear and bring it to him at the dealership all the way in Chicago so he can take a look at it and he would decide from there what to do and as far the chrome wheels it was my fault for not picking that out before i signed the paperwork and that if i wanted a deal on new chrome wheels he can look into that but as of giving me chrome that it listed on the discription theres nothing he can do about that now and if i would have said something before i signed he just would not have sold me a car!!! Very rude and "WHAT!!!" I HAVE TO DRIVE THE BAD TIRE TO HIM SO HE CAN DECIDE WHAT HE WANTS TO DO ABOUT THE $300 I HAD TO PAY FOR A NEW ONE." oh and the car did not have much gas in it when he sold it to me nor was it cleaned inside and out, even though i told him 3 days prior that i would be up to finalize the sale, so he took it into the shop, washed the outside and filled up the antifreeze. Which was when i believe the tires were switched out. HMM.. you would think that washing the car would have been done before i got there and a full tank of gas would have been nice since I had a 2 1/2 hour drive home. The biggest slam is i still have a shake so i took it to tire tracks to have the tires balanced and rotated, at that point they show me that 3 of the wheels are bent from impact damage that was obviously done long before I ever bought the car and that this is a clear and cut case of the dealership screwing me by taking the good CHROME tires off and putting really bad tires on. Now the owner will not even take my phone call. Is this normal practice when they see a women by herslef walk into the dealership? If so, beware single ladies, you will get screwed!!!

I bought a 2011 Lincoln MKX from Ogden Lincoln. I have to say this was by far the BEST used car buying experience I have ever had!! The sales person I worked with was Geoff Pebelske. He made the experience extremely easy and pleasant! Being a female the whole car buying experience can be scary...He did not push or pressure me in any way. He was extremely knowledgeable about the car and was very informative. I told him the bottom price I was willing to pay and he came back 5 minutes later and said he could honor that price. It was not your typical used car experience where they bring back the big sales manager and he tries to strong arm you into making the purchase. There were a few spots on the car that I asked Geoff if they could buff out and without hesitation Geoff took care of it. He went above and beyond and had it professionally detailed for me inside and out. By the time it came back it looked brand new! I would recommend anyone I know to this dealership and to deal directly with Geoff! I LOVE my new Lincoln! I found a vehicle online at Ogden that met the criteria my mother was searching for. I was not able to be there in person but talked to the sales person, Jerry, before hand. Jerry was very good through the process, however the trade is why I am not recommending the dealer. We were trading a Lincoln Aviator with the highest trim level, I mentioned this and even sent an email describing the features of that trim. However, later I found out that they convinced my mother it was the base trim, of which they have no actual evidence for. Now whether they did this on purpose to offer a lower trade or just don't understand the trim levels of their own models, it's a negative on their part. I truly hope they were not trying to take advantage of her. Overall she is happy with the new car but this proves you cannot trust a dealer, no matter how good their reviews are.

Our recent used car purchase at Ogden Lincoln was quite literally the very best car buying experience we've had. Our fully-paid-for family vehicle was totaled in an accident and not wanting a new car payment, we opted to purchase a replacement using only the insurance reimbursement funds. We met Jerry Mangan at Ogden Lincoln and found what we thought was truly the best deal in town. Jerry was more than pleasant while working with us through our unique purchasing circumstances. Knowing our budget and the price we had agreed to pay (we had a cashiers check in hand), Jerry unselfishly suggested we take a look at another vehicle that had just come in, which was priced slightly lower than what we were expecting to pay. Thanks to Jerry's amazing customer focus, we actually purchased the lower priced vehicle which has worked out as well or better for our needs AND we put a few $$ in the bank! Our experience at Ogden Lincoln was fantastic for more than just the $$ saved. We were treated very well at every step of the process! Thanks Jerry - we'll see you again, for sure!!

My opinion is the experience with Geoff has been excellent. He has responded promptly and answered all my questions. I was looking for a Land Rover LR3 and had contacted around 10 different dealers. Geoff was one of the only dealerships that seemed to know the process and made the experience worth doing again. I purchased the vehicle and had it shipped. I would recommend contacting Geoff on your next internet purchase he was awesome. Brian

On March 14, 2012 I (Scott Payton) was contacted by Jake Lambert of Ogden Lincoln concerning a 2010 Ford Taurus SHO that I had shown interest in. This would be an out of state purchase, so getting as many details and pictures of the vehicle was essential. Jake complied with all requests and was available via phone/email at any given time. Jake and I talked via phone and email throughout a course of about two weeks concerning the purchase of the SHO. From the very beginning, I asked Jake to be totally honest about the condition of the vehicle. I didn't want to make the trip nor have it delivered under false pretenses. I stressed the "condition" of the car in several of those conversations including the day it shipped and he said it was in perfect condition..."I just got out of it and it runs, drives and looks great. No issues." As a used car I expected rock chips, small imperfections here and there. My concern was any substantial damage. The day the car is delivered to me (March 29,2012), the first thing I notice is the wheels had been swapped out to 19" and not the 20" it was advertised with. I immediately, before touching the car called Jake, and expressed my dissappointment. While on the phone with Jake, I found a dent in the roof and substantial damage to the rear bumper cover. He acted completely and totally surprised by the damage I was describing. He said, "damn carriers! It wasn't that way when it left here. There's no way, I wouldn't have noticed something like that." Yet somehow, he didn't notice that the wheels he had swapped out didn't match the ones that came off of it? Needless to say at this point, I'm concerned about what is going to transpire. The driver hands me the damage sheet and the rear bumper cover was noted. The roof damage was not. I signed it feeling as if I had no choice at that point. The car was mine and what was I to do other than hope that Jake and Ogden make this right, which Jake assured me that it would be taken care of. Jake had to talk to Brian (General Manager) and he'd get back asap. We corresponded over the next couple days and came to an agreement on the wheels. Ogden would reimburse me half the cost (775.00) of the optional 20" factory wheels that the car was advertised with. I was also told at this time that the body work would be fixed and that arrangements would be made at a local Ford dealer to do those repairs. I was asked to get an estimate from Bill Collins Ford in Louisville, Ky and fax it to Ogden, so the repairs can be arranged. On 4/3/2012 the car was taken to Bill Collins and the estimated repairs were faxed to Jake Lambert the same day. On 4/9/2012 I recieved an email from Jake informing me that the check for the wheel settlement had been sent. Also on the same date 4/9/2012 Jake sent me an email stating that Brian (Sales manager) said that the Bill Collins estimate was too high. I was asked at this point to take the car to Conns Body Shop to get another estimate. On 4/10/2012 I took the car to Conns Body Shop as requested. Additionally on the same date I took the car to Britt's Auto Collision and Lambrights Body Shop. These additional three estimates were faxed to Jake at Ogden the same day 4/10/2012. As of today 4/18/2012, my wife and I both have made several attempts to conact either Jake and or Brian to resolve the body damage issue. Phone messages, calls to the dealership, texts and emails have been ignored. It is now currently May 21, 2012. After a Facebook post on Ogden's page, I was contacted to get yet another estimate from a chosen body shop (Highland Automotive). Still nothing. We have been blocked from their Facebook page and our calls, email, and texts are being ignored once again.

I was searching for a summer toy car on craigslist when I came across one of the ads that Jake (my salesman) had placed for a Mustang convertible. I called the number and had a nice conversation with Jake about the car. He gave me all the information he could and even emailed me a copy of the CarFax so that I could see all the history on it. I set up an appointment to come in and Jake had the Mustang pulled up to the side of the building waiting for me to take a test drive. Jake was very knowledgeable about the car and extremely friendly. He might be a bit on the young side, but he did his job very well. After the test drive, we talked about the numbers and he was able to get me a great price on my toy! The business manager, Karl, was fast and very personable. He hooked me up with a 3 year warranty at an amazing deal! I'll be sure to come back and see these guys for my next car!

I was on my way with a friend to a Jeep dealership to look at Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Saharas when we passed by Ogden Lincoln in Westmont. There, sitting in the front lot of the dealership, was exactly what I was looking for. It turned out that the vehicle had been purchased by Ogden from another dealership wanting to get rid of some of their inventory. I ended up with a 2012 Jeep Wrangler with only 166 miles on it, which they sold to me as used! Ogden's service was exemplary, and the deal and terms are astonishing - my note is $1.86 less than I was paying for my previous vehicle! I got an awesome amount for my trade-in, and they treated me as if I was purchasing one of their top-of-the Lincolns. The way everything just fell into place, it felt like kismet. It was as if the Jeep was put there just for me! It was absolutely the best car buying experience that I have ever had!

Let me first say that this positive review is only for the experience of dealing with Karl Regalado. I basically had 2 separate experiences at this dealership. On my first, I dealt with salesman Dan Hochhauser, who seemed to be friendly enough and not pushy. I stopped by to look at a 2007 Mustang, but after test driving, I didn't like the ride quality. When I brought the Mustang back to the lot, I parked it next to a 2008 Mercury Milan. I test drove the Milan and was hooked by the smooth ride and the comfortable interior. I decided this was the car I wanted. When it came down to talk dollars, I was upfront about my shaky credit history. Dan got the finance manager involved (can't remember his name) and he was pushy, rude, & demeaning. After 2 hours of supposedly trying to get financing, I was told 'it's really hard to get banks to respond after 4 PM on Saturday'...never mind that we didn't start negotiating until after 4 PM, so they could've told me this upfront. I was told that Clint in financing would call me on Monday after doing some hunting for financing. On Monday, Clint did not call...I had to call. Oh, and it was also Columbus Day...banks aren't open. I was given the same story by Clint on Monday: 'we tried but couldnt come up with any financing...sorry.' Fast forward to a week or so later when I received an email from internet sales manager Karl Regalado. I explained what had happened, that I felt like I was treated like a piece of crap. Karl took it upon himself to personally take on my file and do the best he could to secure financing for me. He was upfront in not promising anything, but assured he would do all he could. After a week of hard work, Karl was able to get financing for me at a better than expected rate! He really went above & beyond the call of duty to get me in the car of my choice. Not to mention that he was genuinely happy for me (and my fiancee) to get the Milan. When I finally met up with Karl to sign the paperwork, I found a dedicated and honest car salesman, a hard worker, and most importantly a great guy. Me and my fiancee wound up talking to him for an hour or so about anything and everything. Car salesman get a bad rap in a lot of cases and deservedly so. Not often can you say you'd sit down and have a beer with one, but I got lucky and came across one, Karl Regalado. If you go to Ogden Lincoln Mercury, make sure you deal with Karl. Negative stars for my experience with everyone else there, but if I could give more than 5 for dealing with Karl, I would.

Brought in a Mercury Tracer for front on-car brake rotor resurfacing and wheel alignment. Dealer claimed alignment cost would be twice quote due to rust. The age of the car was no surprise when order was written up. In addition, the alignment was done incorrectly, so car was brought to a nearby tire shop that did the job right for $40. The brake rotor resurfacing was done correctly, however, the total cost for both jobs was $500. I wrote to the dealership relate this experience, and never recieved an explanation or reply. I will never return there for any reason.
