Don't go to Oakland Acura! I just wasted my whole day at this place and I am shocked SHOCKED at what went down. I have been looking for an used low miles Acura TL for a couple days now and found one at Oakland Acura that I was pretty happy with and had a good experience with test driving it and talking detail with the sales associate Francisco (great guy, smart and intelligent). However, when I started the negotiation game I was passed onto David who I made an out the door offer (total cost) which was low of course and we went back and forth a few times. I left, went to lunch and then came back and made a counter 'out the door this is what I will pay total' offer until we came to a middle ground. I shook David's hand and said I would write a check for $29,500 total and take the car home today. I must have said out the door total cost 10 times to make sure we were in agreement. So I spent the next two hours (about 6 hours total) signing paperwork and then the last piece of paperwork was the total bill which had all the additional over charges on it totaling about $4000 more dollars. When I asked what was this to the manager he gave me a shady look and started barking at his employees and then started to blame me for the miss communication. Not once did they apologized or try to make it right. I am almost certain they tried to pull the fast one and have done it in the past, which gives all car sales men a bad name. Only suckers should shop at Oakland Acura.

I was shopping for 2007 MDX in May 2007. The reply email from the dealer is with 24 hours. The quote is one of the best. The sales was polite, but I am not comfortable the way she tried to sell the vehicle. She always said the vehicle is in high demand, and in limited supply. The implication is that I needed to buy now. I did my research on the availability of the vehicle in the local area, and knew the market condition - I think she was not telling the entire truth. Because of this, I did not buy from her.

I found the staff to be very courteous and professional. And after shopping for similar service I found the dealership repairs to be a better value in my opinion. They gave me a new Acura TL to drive while my car was being repaired

Oakland Acura is full of crooks from sales to service to the owner. I purchased my car there and had it serviced there for six months. Then my car was stolen from my locked garage. I made the mistake of taking it to Oakland Acura to be repaired once it was recoverd. The list of complaints is long. The car had been stripped by professional thieves who had the codes to my Acura alarm, radio alarm and wheel locks. First they low-balled the insurance company on the repair cost at less than $10k. The ultimate cost was $17k a price at which the insurance co. would have replaced my car. The work was so shoddy that they let me drive out with a clearly malfunctioning exhaust and bent front suspension. It took them over 30 days to repair what it took the experienced Acura thieves a few hours to strip. Incredible.

My experience with Oakland Acura service department hasn't been good and would not recommend them. After driving into their service area in the afternoon I was pretty much ignored for some time, and there were no other customers! I've brought my car in for scheduled service and their work is just so-so and overpriced. You would do better at a good independent shop. If you have an issue or complaint after their service work their attitude is one of indifference and unconcern. You pretty much get a "if you don't like it, tough."
I say, go somewhere else and don't go to Oakland Acura!

Went thru the Autospies Platinum Service which help direct us to Oakland Acura for our (wife's) 2004 Redrock Pearl MDX with Navi/RES. John Bruno, who is the Fleet and Internet Sales Manager, gave us a great price on the car and accessories. No B.S., no games. We were to pick up the car on a certain date when he said that not all accessories had been placed due to special order. To make up for the delay(which was 1 day) he offered to drive the car to our residence for free (70 miles). All we had to do is sign and give him the checks. He even stayed around to explain the "workings" of the SUV. No pressure & a fantastic buying experience with John and with 001 of Autospies Platinum Service.
