My wife and I leased our Volkswagen Jetta a couple years ago, our lease was almost up so we started looking for another car to lease. My wife fell in love with a Volvo S60 so we decided we would check them out at Northtown Volvo since we like our experience at Northtown Volkswagen and boy did we pay for it. Our Salesmen at Volvo assured us that we could just leave our car with them at the Volvo dealership and they would return it to Volkswagen no problem. Our car was a little dirty but by no means was it abused in any way. Little did we know that we would receive a bill in the mail a month after leasing our new S60 for $2000.00!! We got charged an "excessive lease charge" for $1,500 along with other charges such as paint off of both rocker panels for a total of $400.00 and a "crack" in the front bumper which they claimed they had to replace the whole front bumper for $620.00. And to top it off we also got charged $56.69 for a "crack" in the right front wheel cover. I see many things wrong with this:1. The salesman at Volvo assured me nothing was wrong with the car.2. We take great care of our vehicles, including hand washing them many times and we never noticed any of these things we got charged for.3. I never once saw a report on our Volkswagen even after requesting one.4. If there was this damage on the vehicle at the time of turn in who is to say it didn't happen when the Volvo dealership returned the car for me back to Volkswagen.If Volkswagen treats their customers like this, I can't see me or anyone in my family ever purchasing another car from them again.

Greg is a true car guy that believes in the products VW offers- especially the new GTI's. He directed me to the best mix of options like he was buying it for himself. His thorough knowledge, and experience with these cars was obvious, and his enthusiasm infectious. I would recommend him, and this new GTI (it handles great). I usually like to wait to recommend things like cars (the engine is just starting to loosen up, as I break it in wisely). But I was pre-sold by the great experience of the 2004 GTI that I had bought new from Northtown, and just traded in. So I'm comfortable in saying that Greg, VW, and Northtown are a winning combination of product and people- that will serve you well.

Greg was an excellent salesperson, who put so much effort into making my experience special. The whole team made me feel welcomed and excited for my purchase. Greg was not only extremely friendly, but also extraordinarily helpful and informative. He took the time to show me the ins and outs of my new car and went out of his way to make sure all my questions were answered. Never having bought a new car before, I walked away feeling confident and secure in my decision, and felt secure in knowing they are there if I experience any problems. I just purchased a new VW Passat 2015 from Northtown showroom in Millersport Highway and wanted to share the experience . As much as I am excited driving my new car, I am terribly terribly disappointed in having chosen Northtownauto to purchase it from. Everything I've seen so far has been so chaotic, misleading and disappointing. The latest fiasco being, given the wrong VIN number and being revealed 2 days after the purchase of the car.I had extensive discussions about the price of the car and I was informed that they would match the price from a different dealer ( which was 22000$) . When I decided to purchase the car, I was told that they would enquire with VW if I was eligible for 0% APR and an 'additional rebate amount which would vary between 1000 to 1500 dollars'. This Saturday, I was informed that I was approved for 0% APR and a rebate of 1000$. I was happy with the deal and I was asked to bring the cheque, insurance ID and the necessary paperwork. And the surprises started once I came in. I was shocked to see that the price of the car was listed as 25000 and the EMI calculated based on that. Then when I told about the cross-dealer price match and the rebate that was offered (something that I texted and confirmed just 2 hours back), the manager there told me that he was 'unaware' of all that and could best just match the cross-dealer price match and not offer any rebate amount. When I was explaining the situation, he asked me to come back Monday if I needed more details as he was just filling in and he did not know any details. This was extremely unprofessional as I had done all the previous research and was straight to the point before I even came over. Since I had plans, I had to buy the car. Basically the promise which was given just 2 hours back was not honored. And what was more amazing is how no one wants to take ownership and continue using the words "I dont know what was said earlier" , "I am just filling in", etc. The other amazing part was, I was told to sign the '1000$ rebate approved form', though I did not receive any rebate. And then I was asked to fill a survey form, prefilled with words such as 'Excellent', though my experience was far far from it. I was told I cannot get the car without signing these. I am sure there are better ways to do the business than conning the customers and giving them last minute surprises.I am sharing my terrible experience and I would certainly not recommend Northtown to any of my friends thanks to the wonderful experience I just had. And the best part is when I was asked to escalate the case to the GM, I was sent a mail back, asking to write my reviews here.

I had a less than stellar experience on the sales side of this dealership in May 2013 and had 2 conversations with the general manager of this dealership regarding my experience, in the second conversation he convinced me to give Northtown another chance, to exceed expectations, ( his words) I had already purchased from a competitor, but much farther away from my home, so I gave them another chance on 2/4/14 I had 3 main concerns on this service trip, a routine 30K maintenance, My heated seats heat very slowly, getting slower over time, and the heater fan was squeaking badly, as if it were about to break, becoming more pronounced over the past two weeks. I met Jason in the service bay, explained all of this in great detail, I also explained my previous experience at Northtown, He actually said he knew how to WOW a customer, 4 hours later I pick up my vehicle, 30K maintenance is done, Heated seats are not fixed, heater blower motor is not fixed, Jason explained that he tested a 2014 VW and it took 15 minutes to get the heated seats to warm up, and this was normal, then why did mine work much better 2 months ago and are now slow???? Also they could not duplicate fan motor noise, so nothing was wrong, even though it was making the noise when I pulled into the service bay just that morning!!! it was 30 degrees outside and that was too cold to wash my car, even though Northtown has multiple signs spelling out this customary service, I asked if I bought a new car today would it be washed? If it's too cold to wash a car, why not substitute a quick vacuum instead??? They seemed to be cutting corners at every turn. I left VERY angry, I was very clear that I was dissatisfied, they tried to " HANDLE" me and this only made me angrier

We are full-time RV'ers who live and travel full-time in our motor coach. We were towing a 2000 VW New Beetle behind our coach. We were in the area site seeing when we had problems with where our "tow package" is hooked into the framework of the car to allow it to be flat-towed behind our coach. We were referred to Northtown by Colton RV to have someone look at it. We did not have an appointment, but Jay Jank "worked us in" to figure out exactly what the problem was. The shop was VERY busy with a constant flow of customers (who had appointments) coming in for service. Jay handled the other customers seamlessly, as well as directing other staff to help keep things flowing smoothly. It was like watching someone handle triage in an emergency room. During this entire time Jay was understanding, courteous and very professional. He would come back to our problem each time he got his appointment customers taken care of. Jay even went so far as to call Blue Ox, the manufacturer of our tow package, to ask them specific questions about how their product hooked into the framework of our bug. It ultimately turned out to be a problem that was too major to realistically consider repairing. We knew at that time we were going to have to replace our vehicle. Jay went over to sales and found a sales person who could assist us. He explained our situation to the sales person and then took us over to introduce us. It was so nice to not have to "start over" and explain to a new person all that had just transpired and why we were standing in front of them. Thanks Jay. You ROCK!

We had never purchased a vehicle from Northtown before so this was out maiden voyage. When we arrived, Will greeted us immediately with a spontaneous friendly approach. He is extremely knowledgeable about all of the cars in stock, showed us the car we were interested in and let us take a test drive. All the while, he was giving us facts about the model and answering all of our questions. He was not pushy at all but readily stated fact after fact and told of his personal experiences with VWs. We were impressed with his clear cut, knowledgeable, no pressured approach. He introduced us to the service department personnel, gave us a tour of the facility, and was able to locate our desired car on the spot. The car was delivered to us in immaculate condition and well detailed the next day. For us, one of the most important features in a dealership is the service department. We try to maintain the condition of our cars and we depend on a reliable running car, therefore the service department is important to us. After we purchased the vehicle, we received a personal gift delivered to our home. What a nice touch! Very thoughtful.

I had went to get a price on a trade in and to test drive the Passatt. I really didn't expect to make a deal that day as this was my first stop of several that I was expecting to make. But Trey met with me and jumped on getting my vehicle's value for a trade in and talked to me about the Passatt. He asked me a few questions of what I was looking for and I'd have to say I wasn't very excited as this is always a back breaking experience so I'm sure i came across as a bit negative. However, he listened to what I said and the car that I wanted to see wasn't available because the dealership had just received it so Trey got another identical car and took me on the tour and let me drive it. I was very impressed with his knowledge of the car from bumper to bumper and with all the electronics. To my shock, before I left, he arranged for me to see the car that I was really interested in which blew me away. Before I left he told me the trade in and cut the price on the car I wanted a little so I felt very comfortable that I was getting a square deal. I had already done my homework on my trade in car but played stupid with Trey to see what the dealership would give me and it was in the ball park. I left knowing we were going to have a deal. I called him later that day to tell him I wanted the car and he got it cleaned up, it was filthy because it had just gotten in and had been sitting outside in a snowstorm. I showed up the next day and the car was spotless. He met us at the door, paperwork was ready, coffee was ready, and he went over everything about the car with me again. The car came with cloth floor mats so I asked him about getting rubber mats. He said it only came with cloth but sure enough, he left and came back with rubber mats. Trey did a wonderful job, he made my experience enjoyable and completely stress free. We will be back soon to purchase another Passatt from Trey.

Chris was great he worked with me for a couple of weeks trying to find the exact car I wanted and within my pricerange. He called me most everyday with updates and when used one was found called me and I went in for a test drive and ended up with a new one as they were just delivered to the dealership. I cannot thank Donnie DiPalma enough for the excellent treatment I received during my first visit time at this dealership. He went above and beyond helping me to decide which vehicle to purchase. I really had my heart set on this one vehicle, but after test driving it found it to be very uncomfortable. Donnie suggested trying a vehicle of his choice, which I reluctantly did and ended up buying the vehicle he recommended. He was very patient with me and knew what I wanted. He was not pushy like at the other dealerships I visited. He treated me as if I was family. In fact, the vehicle I bought was approximately $7,000 cheaper than the one I originally wanted. Any other salesman would have talked me into the more expensive vehicle, but not Donnie. He also took me around to all the other departments that customers would want to use and found it a very pleasant experience to know of the excellent treatment every customer who purchased or leased a vehicle would receive. All Northtown employees were very cordial and pleasant. I am rating this dealership with a perfect 5 rating and am very satisfied with the vehicle I purchased. To all customers, especially females, you should stop and shop with Donnie. There was no pressure to purchase a vehicle. I would not hesitate to go to this dealership in the future and purchase another vehicle. I will recommend to all my friends to shop there. Plus, the prices are fair and the staff is fantastic. I have purchased many vehicles over the years. Of all the dealings I have ever had, this was one of the best experiences of all. Sandy Schechter made me feel like family. I've dealt with Northtown for many years. They're an honest, straight-up shop.Car buying isn't a pleasant experience. I don't like aggressive or pushy salespeople. David Strack was low key. He worked within my constraints and never once called - all our communications was by e-mail (as I requested).The vehicle I purchased was one I hadn't known or previously considered. It was within the budget I gave Mr. Strack, it met my vehicle requirements, and was (in effect) a perfect fit. The price was right, too.Count me a satisfied customer.
