We recently purchased a nice 2014 Ford Flex Limited from Napleton Lincoln Mercury in Blue Island, Illinois, and discovered the next day that both sets of keys given to us were defective. While on the test drive, the employee had placed both keys in the cars cup holder and then started the vehicle without any problem whatsoever. As a result, we had no reason to assume that there was any problem with the keys, but, unfortunately, we were quite WRONG because the actual working fob was missing the emergency door key, and the other fob wasnt even programmed for our vehicle; therefore, leaving us without any emergency key whatsoever for our vehicle.Upon our discovery, we immediately contacted the dealership about our predicament, and, again, assumed that they would be more than willing to help us. Ultimately, however, they have refused to make it completely right. First, they basically said that it was a used car and those were the keys that came with it. Later, they said that since we had received such a great deal on the vehicle, it was our responsibility to deal with the keys. Yes, we do believe that the vehicle was a good deal for us or we wouldnt have driven two hours from Wisconsin for it; however, we never once asked them to go down on their advertised price except to honor their customary deduction for the online statement concerning an email to them for the Napleton price. If they didnt want to sell the vehicle for that price, then why did they advertise it in the first place? In our opinion, a great deal shouldnt allow for the dealership to hand out improper keys. After continually telling them that we werent being unreasonable in our request, they finally offered to replace the missing physical key and give us $100 towards getting a new electronic fob (only if we drive 2 more hours to their dealership) after we had spent almost a week doing what they had instructed us to do, including replacing the battery on the one fob, having it verified that it was NOT programmed for our vehicle but rather was a Lincoln fob, and getting an estimate of $369 plus tax from a Ford dealership in our area to fix the entire problem. We dont believe that we should be out anything due to their incompetence or misrepresentation. Consequently, we bought a used vehicle from a supposedly reputable dealership that now refuses to stand behind its mistakes.The salesperson/manager Joe Bower was very professional, helpful, and prompt in returning phone calls during the entire sale and even afterwards in attempting to deal properly with this issue, but his hands became tied when the General Manager, Gene Kennedy, apparently refused to grant his permission to fix/replace the two fobs completely at the dealerships expense. As a result, we will never recommend that any of our friends or family go to this dealership because it refuses to stand behind its products and correct its employees mistakes. Who would think that an official Ford Lincoln dealership could not be trusted to give out working keys to the vehicle you just purchased, even if it is a used one? How can the dealerships general manager feel that it is any of our responsibility, as the customer, to help with any initial key purchases for this vehicle that supposedly came with two good keys, especially since we were never notified to the contrary? We have purchased several Ford vehicles over the years at various dealerships, and we have never encountered anything as unreasonable or ridiculous as this. If you decide to purchase a vehicle from this location, make sure you thoroughly inspect not only the vehicle but also the keys because you may not be able to count on them to make things right, as in our situation.

I had called on Thursday to the Service Department regarding a noise I heard from behind the dashboard. The service rep knew instantly what was wrong and stated that he'd need a special part to repair the problem. I asked if I could come in the following day sometime in the afternoon (I wasn't sure about the time). The service rep agreed and when I arrived he stated that he had two different parts on hand for my situation. Within an hour or so, he had my car repaired and I was on my way home. Dennis, the service rep manager was very helpful.

My 2013 Navigator was in for repair due to an accident. I was kept advised on the status of the entire process all along the way. Service and workmanship was excellent as always. More dealerships should operate the way Napleton Lincoln Mercury in Blue Island, IL does. When you find honest people with integrity working in a place of business such as Napleton you won't want to go anywhere else, I know I don't.

I recently got an oil change, this was also part of my 25,000 mile maintenance check. The only thing I didn't like is being charged $55.00 for the extra 2 quarts of oil my car needed. I didn't mine paying for the oil change, I was just under the impression it was covered with my warranty/maintenance check. Also I think $55.00 is a lot for 2 extra quarts of oil.

I called ahead & got a 9:30 appointment for my 2011 Ford Explorer. I wanted to have the brakes tires etc., checked out as we were going on a driving vacation. Mike & Dennis in the Service Dept. really took care of me. They did the inspection & made sure I was in good shape for the upcoming trip. They looked over & fixed all needed areas. They changed the oil & had me on my way in 1 hour. They even had the car washed & got rid of all that road salt all over the car. I love the friendly service I get from the Gen Mgr. My oil change was free. I only like to let Napleton change my oil because I know its done right. I have been to other places a few times and I was overcharged or they didnt use the correct oil. Anyway I went for my oil change and my rewards points covered my oil change. I was only there for 30 minutes and they always wash my car.

My car looks great, I could have gone someplace else but trust and confidence is very important. I never have to worry when I have my car in for anything. I bring my car in for everything and have always been highly satisfied. Because of the fantastic service I receive I would not hesitate purchasing another car from Napleton. I have been using Napleton in Blue Island for years because of the service department even though I have Mercury and Ford dealerships very close to me. the main reason I come hear is because I get service done at the time I was given and do not get ongoing scare tactic maintenance suggestions. The advice has never been over the top in terms of need. Plus the dealership takes care of all recall maintenance during regular appointments.

Found a GMC Yukon XL on cars.com that Napleton had so we headed out to Blue Island to see it. Gene, Scott and the rest of the staff were good to us and at no time did we feel presure to buy anything or thought any games were being played. We got a good price on a used vehicle (less than other dealers had similar vehicles for) and not only did we find the staff to be friendly, but they even kept the kids entertained as we signed the paperwork. If we need another vehicle and Napleton happened to have what we wanted I wouldn't hesitate to buy from them again.

In December we bought our 2nd car from Napleton Lincoln (formerly included Mercury). The people at Napleton are genuine and dowright friendly. As soon as we come in the door or sometimes outside as soon as we get out of our car, they greet us by name. This is always the case with Scott. Whether it's buying a new car, in for oil change or repairs, they are always the same. They don't pressure us and they don't try to talk us into something we wouldn't want. I only with we would've purchased pervious cars from them. Our first two cars were bought by a different Napleton Dealer in Blue Island many years ago. We were treated well there also. I hope this review helps others to decide to make their purchases from Napleton. They won't regret it. We sure don't. Thanks Napleton!

horrible dealership. Called them to buy a 2002 sonata and told them i was stopping by to buy it in a few hours. Drove 50 whole minutes there to find out they sold it to someone else 5 mins before my arrivial. Very rude dealer who didnt even apologize on top of that. I wouldnt recommend this dealership.

We bought our first two cars from Napleton Chrysler/Plymouth and our last two from Napleton Lincoln. They don't pressure you when you come in. We are shocked at the price of service sometimes, but that's just the way it is everywhere. The people in Sales and the people in the Service Dept. always explain things to us and we always walk out happy and satisfied.
