Salesman I had was great. He was knowledgeable about the vehicle that I had wanted. Showed him a picture of it and he knew which one it was. I took for a test drive and I bought it. He went though all the steps with the purchasing of the vehicle. I wish the guys in the service area would have checked tire pressure in the tires before the vehicle left their property.

tl;dr: Despite great reviews on some sites, this place utilizes many of the used cars sale tactics and scams (detailed below) that you should be on the lookout for.A quick review of my experience with this dealership:* I scoped out the prices on the website and was interested in one that was exactly in my price range, with good features.* Saw and test drove 2 cars around that price range and decided to move ahead with one of them.* Asked several times about: the price on the website being honored (there was some confusion on this part), a $300 off deal offered through their website (was told it would be included, no worries!), foregoing financing, because I know my credit is bad.* Everything seemed fine, then everything went horribly wrong.For starters, I had to ask several times to see what the costs were before I put any money down. I didn't think this was supposed to be the tough part, but I was still walked over to the cashier to put in a down payment before I ever saw the costs or a contract. When I pointed this out, they walked me back to the other building with a half-hearted apology, something about "wanting to save you some time".At this point, I was sat down with the finance manager and given no fewer than 6 things to sign before I was actually shown a contract or bill. When I finally see the itemized list that I asked for in the first place, something is off. Off as in about $2400 extra. I was very clearly, directly told that this was the extended warranty (it was not, more on that later). With a very long day behind me, I let the pressure get the best of me and went along with that.The next day, however, I was doing some mental math on the contract that I had just signed and realized some numbers weren't adding up. I grabbed my copy and discovered I was correct: the $2400 extra was part of the cash price of the car, with another $2000 extra for the warranty, totaling $4400 extra! I drove back down to the dealership to talk to a manager. I was given conflicting reasons for the mix up, but eventually did leave with a fixed contract, minus the $2400 extra. I later discovered you can easily get a refund on extended warranties and did so, bringing the entire ordeal back into my budget.A quick recap on possible scams/tactics at play:* Bait and switch. One of the explanations for the mix up was an overzealous price adjustment system. That line is probably plenty convincing and probably earns that $2400 on a regular basis.* Pressurized signing environment. I was a first time buyer and apparently very susceptible to this.* Extended warranty. It was actually suggested this might be a requirement for getting financing. Some googling after the fact determined this was probably a lie.* Very nice salesperson. Seriously though, they're looking for their commission. Don't trust them.* I'm 90% certain I didn't get that $300 off promotion that was promised.

I am being compelled to write this review after the stellar experience I had purchasing from out of state.Was looking to purchase a Chevy SS, which is in limited production numbers, and GM was running a special. After I missed out on a couple local deals in TX, found one at Mike Anderson of Chicago. Called and spoke with the Sales Manager, Emmanuel Kalou. From my first call to the drive-off, I had nothing but exceptional communication with getting all financing and other details worked out. On top of this, despite having other buyers for the car, he promised to hold it for me even before my financing went through.Flew to Chicago and when I got to the dealership, Emmanuel was waiting for me at the door, greeted me and introduced me to Johnathan Mendez from the sales team. I was extremely impressed with how they handled the entire transaction. All paperwork was already lined up for me to sign, car was washed and fueled up, ready to go. Did a quick test drive, completed all the paperwork and was in/out in less than an hour. During this entire time, was never pressured or even asked to add/buy anything. I've had to buy out-of-state before, but this was by far the best experience I've had with a purchase. I will likely end up there again if I'm in the market for another Chevy in the future.

The biggest mistake I ever made was buying a car from here. Once you drive off they pretty much say to tell with you expect when they're begging you to give them 5 star ratings. The customer service department is horrible! I rather pay and go somewhere where I feel appreciated than go here for the free oil changes you get when you buy a brand new car. Jesse, the salesman was supposed to call me back within 24 hours and it's been over a week. They don't care about you, they want your money. Go somewhere else!

Started out on Labor Day to just look at used cars (Equinox) and get some prices. They only had newer used cars so we decided to see how much a new one cost. Talked to Jesse Fakhoury and he asked what we wanted in a car. After a bit he suggested we test drive a Trax. Decided to sleep on it - Went back the next day (Jesse's day off, but he came in to meet with us) and bought the Trax. Jesse was so easy to deal with and he worked hard to get us the car we wanted a a price we could live with. Love the car so far.

Stay away from this dealership. They use false advertisement to get you to test drive a car (free gas card with a test drive, then they don't give you one). Then once they get your information, they call you repeatedly, several times a day, for over a month. If you block their number, they will call you from another number. If you block that number, too, then they will block their number so you can't keep them from calling you. This business is shady. Avoid unless you want to be harassed. When it comes time to trade, I will definitely be going elsewhere. I don't like to trade at dealerships that harass me constantly. I've sent several "stop calling me" emails to no avail, too. This place is like a stalker ex who can't take a hint.

I drove an hour with my wife and son to look at a used truck. Truck was in overall good condition, but had mis matched rear seat which smelled and one had been chewed " obviously by a dog. Driver side mirror was broke and paint was poorly touched up . none of which was disclosed in the description or on the phone when I called. Then asked the lowest they would go on the price "they were already priced high" and the manager wouldnt even come out of his office. We were speechless. I was paying cash to.

I came in to this dealer to try to purchase a camaro. I was told I did not have enough credit to buy the car I wanted therefore I decided to go for something smaller. Once I decided to get a different car I was getting everything ready paper work etc etc. they gave me the keys for the car at the I was told I didn't qualify for that car either so they picked a car for me and it just a waste of time. All they care about is just to sell their cars they don't even explains things to you nor they talk to you straight forward. One way or another they try to screw you over. Bad dealer bad service bad everything.

The team at Mike Anderson Chevy of Chicago made my experience so smooth and exciting. Every part of the part went great and very efficient. The assistance that Wally provided was greatly appreciated. He educated me about the car and all the fun features it had to offer. He made me feel comfortable and cared for. I came here last week after a terrible experience at a dealership in the suburbs where I dealt with a patronizing, dismissive, loud, and pushy salesperson. My salesperson at Mike Anderson was Ruben Delgado, who was the exact opposite of the salesperson at the other dealership. Ruben was nice, friendly, and not at all pushy. The other dealership wanted to sit in an office and talk numbers right away -- they didn't even offer me a test drive. After being spoken down to after asking a simple question about a feature on the car, I decided to walk and went to Mike Anderson.Immediately after meeting Ruben, I sat down with him for a couple of minutes to talk about what I was looking for (another Cruze, because I'd had a Cruze for three years and liked it a lot, but this time I was looking to go with a model with the technology package) and then we went outside to look at cars and take a test drive. It was only after the test drive that we started talking about price, and Ruben was understanding and willing to help me stick to my budget while still getting me the car and features I wanted. I've bought and leased quite a few cars, and this was the easiest and most positive car-buying experience I've ever had. As a woman, I dread dealing with male salespeople at car dealerships, but Ruben wasn't at all condescending or xxxxxx, which was refreshing. It was a pleasure dealing with Ruben, and I highly recommend him if you're in the market for a new Chevy.

I went into Mike Anderson on a Monday afternoon to look at a 2008 Nissan Pathfinder LE. After looking at the car, I noticed the cars check engine light was on and that it required a jump to even test drive. My sales person was ready to do a deal with me but I told him the vehicle needed to be serviced before I did anything final. We came up with a mutually agreed on price and now all i needed was the service to be completed. I was told it would be done by Tuesday night, no later than wednesday morning. Tuesday came and went. Wednesday I called early, spoke briefly with my sales person Rolando and was told I will be contacted later that afternoon. Afternoon came and went, I called back, was transferred to his voicemail, after several times of that, I was told the service personal will contact me back in about ten minutes from Diane. 2 hours went by, I called back, asked for the manager and he finally told me the car needed $2500 of work and therefore was out of my approved price range. This was around 7pm now. I wasted 2 days and never got a car! The circumstances are not what bothered me, it was the lack of communication from my sales person, the lack of info from the secretary and the nonchalant attitude about wasting my time from the manager. Luckily, I did get my pathfinder today, for a better price and a better dealer. I'd never go to Mike Anderson again unless he changes his staff.

The worst, most dishonest, scrooge dealership that has been built. I had bought my Chevy Sonic from Zeigler Chevrolet (great place, opposite of Mike Anderson) and when I blew out my clutch in Chicago and had it towed to them, they did not honor my Nationwide bumper to bumper warranty. Basically they said that this was a user error and completely my fault. I wanted to speak with the GM warranty right away as to why this part was not covered under warranty. They said it would cost me $70.00 just for them to take a look at it and then I could take to warranty people. I paid the $70.00 and they said that 90% it is not covered under the warranty. Finally they gave me the warranty personnel phone number. I called them and they were going to do investigation. Turns out Anderson Chevy service department calls me back says that they will not cover it since this is a user error. They also told me that they can investigate further by pulling the part out and looking at it, however that would cost me an additional $300 + 2.4 thousand to replace the clutch. They also said that if I don't fix it at their location and go elsewhere, they will charge me an additional $30 for each day the car is in their parking lot.I ended up towing the car from their location to another shop which replaced the clutch for $900 dollars with all fluids.Here's the kicker... I go back to my dealership where I bought the car (Zeigler) to change my oil. They treat me treat me there fantastic as always. When I told them about the clutch problem I had, they said, "WHY DIDNT YOU BRING IT TO US? WE WOULD HAVE DONE IT FOR FREE. YOU OBVIOUSLY HAVE A BUMPER TO BUMPER WARRANTY" Anyways, nothing I can do about it now as I dont have the original parts.Just a BEWARE to avoid this place at all costs, as you will be mistreated and they will try to milk you for every penny you have.WOW! Writing an update after contacting Chevrolet from the response to my review. It is complete absurd and very unprofessional of General Sales Manager Guy Cesario's end since he writes a response to every review and then does not respond back to you when you contact him. When he got to your dealership he found out the Jeep had been sold the day before. That was the day you lost our business. drove from rkfd il .took two hours to get there.. add on internet showed this very nice mustang conv for sale,,got there and was introduced to salesman,,went ok ,,he took me outside to look at car..car was scratched up in many places,, big chips on hood and bubbled paint on hood and trunk lid..interior was trashed and dirty .. top was filthy and brown with dust..i told him i wasnt interested in this car,, never once did he offer to look at inv or another vehicle,, then once back inside him and another salesman begin to laugh and tell me this is there multi colored mustang..it WAS yellow and now it is blue.the were crass,, unprofessional,, and very not interested in selling a car so i just excused myself and left,, WHAT A JOKE THAT PLACE IS WONT EVER RETURN THERE AGAIN

I decided to bring my 2011 Camaro to Mike Anderson Chevrolet for service after dealing with another Chevrolet service department in the city. Mark, my service advisor was polite, professional and friendly. The work performed was top notch although a bit expensive. Some of the work done on my car involved ordering parts. Unfortunately, the wrong parts were ordered, not really Mark's fault but it ended up in another visit to the dealership. When the work was finished, the car was washed and waiting for me. I would be happy to recommend Mike Anderson Chevrolet to friends and family. They seem to be fair and honest just a little on the pricey side. I will bring my car back to them for service from now on.

I stopped by the dealership Saturday May 11th early morning. The Salesman Fawaz helped me and was suppose to be helping me get a Camaro. I ABSOLUTELY love Camaro! He runs the credit and my score is a 644 but he tells me that General Motors approved me for an amount but him and finance manager are trying to get more money and he will call me back Saturday afternoon.Not only did I not here back from him but I've called him every day this week and he continues to give me the run around. This dealership is not professional and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. He has made my shopping for a Camaro HORRIBLE because now that he's run a hard credit inquiry on my report, I don't want to really go anywhere else right now because its too soon and could damage my credit further.Mike Anderson Chevrolet in Chicago has given me a very bitter taste and bad experience!

Beware of Mike Anderson Chevrolet in Chicago on Irving Park Road. My husband went to Mike Anderson Chevy to purchase a vehicle. After spending about five hours there, he was told that everything was okay and he could take the vehicle home. I met him there during the last part of his visit. I was initially told that I was not needed on the financing and that he was approved. They were only waiting for the car to be delivered. They even asked him to take everything out of his other car and gave us bags to put our things in. Once the car was delivered, they realized it was a five speed and they knew we wanted an automatic. They told us the price would increase and I needed to be on the financing. We left in disgust since it was apparent that the sales person ordered the car to be delivered and did not notice that particular car was a five speed. After, I called the Chevrolet Corporation to make a complaint. It was never really resolved but the manager at Mike Anderson knew we made a complaint. Since that complaint was made, Mike Anderson Chevy has run our credit at least 15 times, which resulted in our credit scores lowering significantly. I know this because we keep getting letters mailed to us for all the different banks Mike Anderson made inquiries to. We also went to another car dealership and that finance manager pointed it out to us how many inquiries were made by Mike Anderson Chevy. The amount of times our credit reports have been run appears to be an act of retaliation from Mike Anderson Chevy.

Mike Anderson is the only dealership I will go to. I have been bringing my old car here ever since I moved to the area about two years ago and the service has always been awesome. So when the extended Warranty ran out I decided it was time to trade it in and get a something new. I recently started a new job and after years of not needing a car I needed one and quick. After talking to a few friends at my new job who had a similar problem, I decide to go to Mike Anderson. Everyone on the staff was great! I went to mike Anderson due to the fact that on my first visit they helped me very well with the type of car we were looking for. But after two month I noticed that we weren't as happy with the car we noticed a few problem with the car I then return and spoke to Reuben who had helped me with the car that we purchased once I told him of the problems we had he said he was going to see what he can do and what he did was help me to get the right car this time it has the power I need to tow my boat and also the space for my kids without losing the luxury of the look and feel of the car. Buying a new vehicle at Mike Anderson Chevrolet in Chicago was a very pleasant , easy and painless experience. From the minute we were greeted at the front door until the moment we drove away in our awesome brand-new Equinox LTZ, every person we encountered was great. We test drove a few vehicles with Jesse and he was very knowledgeable and had all the answers to our questions regarding each vehicle . He was very pleasant , friendly, and made sure we found the right SUV for our family . Mike in finance made sure we got an excellent finance rate with the right company and with rebates . Kerry walked us thru the final steps and was very informative about some incentives that we didn't even know were out there, e.g. First three months, no payment with the bank we went with (option). I cannot stress enough how nice it was to walk into this dealership to not feel pressured at all . My husband used to compare walking into a dealership the same as walking into a dentist for a root canal . Not anymore, as we drove away in our new SUV, he was already planning on coming back within a month or two for another new vehicle for himself ! I will make sure to let everyone know who is shopping for a new or used vehicle that there is no better place to go in Chicago . This staff is fantastic.

Going to Mike Anderson Chevy was my moms idea and I even visited their competitor Jennings Chevy so I could compare price quotes and get the best trade in offer possible. Mike Radzinski and Jesse Fakhoury went above and beyond to make sure there was no comparison in the 2 dealerships. I was certain I wouldn't be able to get financed with my credit and sure enough I was approved. The interest rate almost had me withdraw from the deal but that's my own fault for not having good credit. I grabbed a co-signor and drove off with 2.9% financing and happier than ever in my new Chevy Cruze LTZ! I would recommend their dealership to anyone I know and even those I don't know! I'm looking forward to the same experience when I go to them for service!

Today was one of the greatest days of my life. Mike and Tim worked magic to get me out of my old beater car and into a nice used Chevy Cobalt. I visted Anderson Chevorlet by chance. My wife and I were looking to buy a newer used car. We were leaning towards a Buick Enclave. Service Review:So I had a problem at first that had nothing to do with Mike Anderson, but the way they dealt with it was horrible. Luckily Chevy Customer Service took care of everything on their end. I had Smart Care service (A specific vehicle maintenance contract that covers chassis lubrication, oil, oil filter and tire rotation according to scheduled time and mileage requirements in your owner's manual.) I told them I wanted done what was covered under smart care. I had already had over 6,000 miles since my last rotation. My owners manual says 5-8000 miles while one Frank says 7-9000miles and another one says 7-8000 miles. So all they did was an oil change and that was it. Chevy messed up on their part and had my smart care under a wrong VIN which was caused by another dealership giving them the wrong VIN number. So Mike Anderson had to charge me until things got straighten out. The day after they said they would refund the next day. But did it almost a MONTH later. That's one issue. Another issue is they order the floor that goes in the trunk that covers the spare tire. This was like 3 months ago. They order the part and never called me. I go in to find out they have it but they ordered the wrong part. Finally they get it, I bring my car to them today and they tell me it will take a whole hour to do which only takes literally 5 min. Reason being, your appointment only means you can bring your car, we'll get to your car when we can. Really????? It takes almost as long as an oil change to take out a board and put in a new one. Never again am i bringing my car here again. I wasn't even going to bring it today but they had the part for my trunk. Oh and lastly I had to bring my car to them at least twice to fix something in the transmission. The first time they told me nothing was wrong until I went on a test drive with them to show exactly what they missed which i don't know how they could. Brought it back a second time because it was even worse then the first time. If you have a positive experience with them, that's great I'm glad, I wish only I had one. And It's frustrating because they are 5 blocks away from my house, now I have to find a further dealership.

Words can not express how greatful I am for the help and service that I received at Mike Anderson Cheverolet. I drive past this place every day to and from work and decided that since I had just rolled over 100,000 miles on my current Chevy, it was time to start looking. Going to Mike Anderson Chevy was my moms idea and I even visited their competitor Jennings Chevy so I could compare price quotes and get the best trade in offer possible. Mike Radzinski and Jesse Fakhoury went above and beyond to make sure there was no comparison in the 2 dealerships. I was certain I wouldn't be able to get financed with my credit and sure enough I was approved. The interest rate almost had me withdraw from the deal but that's my own fault for not having good credit. I appreciated the no-hassle pricing I got from the internet manager before I walked in the door. They gave the most detail over email of the dealers that contacted me. The experience in the dealership matched the experience I had over email. Everyone was very nice and helpful and made sure that we got the car we wanted. They didnt seem that mad when I triggered the car alarm of a car on the showroom floor!

My car is still under warranty, which is the only reason I took it to a dealer when my check engine light came on. I was told I needed to do $850 worth of required maintenance: a tune up, a fuel injector throttle body cleaning, and an engine decarbonization. Upon talking to my father, who was a mechanic, I came to the conclusion that a tune up was the only legitimate maintenance needed. They couldn't tell me what was wrong, except the code that came up on the computer. They hadn't even opened the hood. But, they were going to charge me $80 for the computer scan (something a lot of mechanics / auto parts stores will do for free). I went to a different mechanic. He did the tune up, the fuel injector throttle body cleaning, (which actually was necessary because of the oil leak that he found), replaced the the leaky valve gasket, and did an oil change all for $400, which was less then half the dealership price (a price that didn't even include fixing the actual problem of the leaky valve gasket).


Agreed on price. We were coming in saturday to close...

There are not enough words in the world to define Jesse Fakhoury. There is a quality about Jesse that cannot be taught. Jesse possesses a sincerity that is truly real. I took to this young man with the greatest of ease and my intuition was correct. He is a very positive soul, honest, direct, astute, tremendous awareness to detail, intelligent and genuinely helps one with achieving their dream. In my case a brand new car. Something that I have never been able to accomplish before, but with the asstance of Jesse and the very talented Terry in financing, whom I respectfuly call the producer of "magic", my dream became a reality. Just wanted to take the time to thank Jesse for taking care of everything with my car. I was very frustrated after waiting for a few hours to fix an electrical issue with my buick. Not only did he keep me updated but he saw how aggrevated I was with the waiting time and he took it upon himself to take me to grab some fastfood so I wouldnt be waiting starving. I had no way to leave the dealership so the fact that he offered meant a lot because I was getting really hungry. Not everyone has such great attention to detail, or would take time out of their day to make sure a client is taken care of. He went above and beyond and i thank him for that because after three hours of waiting, I was starved! I will definitely recommend others to this dealership because people like Jesse are great at what they do and obviously care about overall customer satisfaction, which is not something ive found at other places. I recently had a very enjoyable experience at Mike Anderson Chevrolet. We visited 4 Chevy dealers to discuss purchasing a 2011 Chevy Equinox. The sales staff at 2 of them were just okay, and at the 3rd we got the hard sell--a real turnoff. That third dealer searched for a car and sent info, but there was no follow up. I happened to have my old Saturn in for service at Mike Anderson Chevrolet, and while I was waiting I met another customer and her very friendly salesperson, Chris Zaug. Chris was easy to talk to and very knowledgeable about the Equinox. I went home that day and told my husband that since we were going to purchase an Equinox, I wanted to work with Chris Zaug. Mike Rzadzki (sales manager) ran several searches and Chris Zaug stayed in close contact every time they found a vehicle that looked closer to meeting our desires. I enjoyed working with both. There was never any pressure to buy. When the car was delivered, Kerry Utpatel handled the paperwork beautifully and seamlessly. We ended up with a beautiful vehicle that we're very happy with. I would definitely recommend this dealer. BTW, their service department is also top-notch.
