New Family Tradition

My wife & I have purchased a lot of cars over the years at Midway. This time, we were looking for a new (used) car for our son and the team at Midway went out of their way to make it an easy, hassle-free experience. We live in KC now and just get tired of the pushy dealers here, not to mention the lack of quality used cars we saw. Got online with Midway... found a few cars that looked interesting... and Lance took care of the rest. He actually drove one of the cars for us, sent extra pictures and was up front and honest with his assessment of the vehicle. When we got to Mac he had our final selection cleaned up & ready to go! In my experience you can NOT get service like this at any other dealer in Kansas. We will definitely be back again. (Especially when our daughter starts looking for a new car.) Chad was very helpful and very professional

When I was vacationing in Washington State I was looking at your website and found a pickup. I called Chad and talked with him about it. It was in my price range and what I was looking for. He got all the paperwork done for me and faxed it to where I was staying. I signed my name and send it back. When I got back to Kansas he even delivered it for me. Now that's a xxxx of a good guy thanks Chad.

Price was right.

The car was just what I was looking for. I should have looked inside better as the headliner had a small cut above rear passenger side that went completely unnoticed by me.

Purchasing an '08 Dodge Avenger.

I came in during the middle of the week to look at a Dodge Avenger I had seen on Autolist. Chad met me, showed me the car and we took it on a test drive. We discussed some options on a trade in and then I had my Wife contact him about financing since she is better at that than I. We made a deal and that Saturday after my wife test drove the car and we did a little paperwork we drove off with the Avenger. Chad and Jayme were friendly and very professional.

Second time even better than first!

We purchased a pre-owned vehicle at this time last year from Mike Gumm at Midway. It was a smooth transaction and we have had nothing but a great experience with our Toyota van. When we needed to replace my little pickup this fall, we thought of Mike again. Within a week, we found a suitable unit and the transaction was made (Including delivery to central Nebraska!) More than happy with this dealership!

Good experience

Jeff Biehler assisted us with our purchase of a 2013 Buick Enclave just a few days ago. He was very helpful since the purchase.Jeff and Midway Motors have helped us transition into our new vehicle very well. I would recommend Jeff 100%. He is a very reliable and patient guy. Steve Floyd was the guy who we completed our paperwork with and he did a fine job too. We went in knowing what we wanted, researched, and as most people didn't take the first offer. Very Helpful!

I saw a car I liked on cars.com, I had my grandparents test drive it for me, and they loved it! I drove down test drove it, and fell in love! Mr. Mike Gumm is Great!

Mr. Mike Gumm is very helpful in helping me get my Ford Focus. This is my first car. Mike drove all the way from McPherson to Salina so that I do not have to take a taxi to McPherson. My second new F-150 from Midway Motors!

Jeff Biehler is just awesome! He made me feel as much at ease buying my new 2016 F-150 Lariat as he did in 2010 when I got my first one from him. He was friendly and knowledgeable about every feature of my new truck. I was totally relaxed and I didn't feel pressured. My first experience was great and this one was worth returning for. I am quick to tell family and friends to go to Midway, in fact my 26 year old daughter just bought her 2016 Ford Escape at Midway. This was her first NEW car purchase and agrees, Midway is a great dealership buy from. For the past 6 years I have appreciated the service department as well as the sales staff. I am looking forward to having them take care of this truck for years to come. Again....Thank you Jeff for your patience in teaching me the new options on my truck.

Trouble with replaced Transmission

Have never had a problem with the sales people just with the Chrysler service department and the GM.We had our transmission replaced in our 2008 Jeep Liberty 3 yrs ago at Midway Motors in McPherson. This past month we had something happen that, according to the numerous mechanics that I spoke with, including the Service Manager at Midway, no one has ever heard happening. All the bolts came out of the transmission dropping it down, shearing off a bolt on the motor mount, bending the flywheel and various other damage. We had Jeep towed to another service center and had it repaired. We thought that since this is something that is almost unheard of that Midway would possibly assist on the cost but they say it is past their 2 yr warranty so we are stuck paying over $1100 to have it repaired. I just really feel that they let us down as it sounds like the bolts were not torked (spelling) and also there were no supporting rods found within the transmission. We were just lucky we weren't on the highway when this happened as who knows what could have happened.

Lance Thompson was great to work with and to be honest we thought we got a fair price for our trade in as well as the final price for our new purchase. We looked around for several months and when we drove to the dealership it was well worth the drive from Kansas City. Lance went out of his way to make us feel welcome there and would recommend this dealership as well as Lance himself. We will plan on purchasing our next vehicle from them.

Honest, fun & helpful

We worked with Mike Gumm to buy a used Honda Accord. McPherson is about a 45 min. drive from our house, so we were a little apprehensive about the drive. But, Mike was honest about the info he provided on the car and what he had in inventory, and we were very happy we made the drive. Our purchase experience was a lot of fun and low pressure. Mike had access to all of the Midway vehicles, not just those at his location, and he offered to drive the car to the closer dealer for us to check out. (Due to our schedule, it was better to drive to his location.) I always check pricing online, and their price was exactly where it should be. Closing on the vehicle was super easy, and the financing provided in house was at a very reasonable rate. Extended warranties were available and offered, but not in a pressure sale way. Also, there was a 30 day warranty provided with the purchase covering certain items at reduced rates. We were very happy with this purchase experience and will definitely call Midway for our next car purchase.

I view car dealers like sharks lurking for a kill! However, Blake did an excellent job at Midway. He was friendly, helpful, and low pressure. All the staff we talked with were willing to discuss the transaction with low pressure and making the experience a easy one & one that was well worth the drive. This is my second vehicle from Midway and I would definitely recommend Blake and the people there if you are in the market for a new or used car.

I dislike the long slow pressure car dealerships delight in applying to a potential customer. Enter Jon Koehn, the service oriented salesman. No hassle. Brought the truck directly to the job site, I drove it, hooked it on the trailer and tried it out. Loved it. Bought it. One hour off of work and never left the job site.

Over the Top!!!

We drove 400 miles to purchase this particular vehicle. It was a risky adventure, as I was not sure the vehicle would even be there when we got there, but it was. We walked in at 8am right after they opened on Monday and said, pointing at the SUV sitting right outside the doors, I want that one!!! Blake looked a little surprised when we said we had just driven in from Colorado to get that particular SUV but then we started the process and ended up driving it home that afternoon. The guys in the shop were also over the top as I required some maintenance before I would make the purchase and they stepped up and exceeded my expectations. I don't normally invite folks to my home from these kinds of transactions but then this was more of a Divine Appointment than a transaction.Nate, I did not ever feel like you were on the "other side" during our negotiations. It felt like you were just helping me get what I wanted. Jeff Biehler is a great salesman. I told him what I wanted and he found it. It was everything I wanted and then some. Low mileage and fully loaded. I bought the truck at a fair price to boot with the help of Steve Floyd, who worked diligently to get my payments down to where they were affordable for me. Jon Rempel is a great manager who is easy to talk to. All 3 of these guys made my truck buying experience a great one. I highly recommend buying your next vehicle at Midway Motors.

GMC Sierra

Rod made my buying experience at the dealership a pleasure. He was very helpful getting all the additions I wanted on the vehicle and answered all my questions and dealt with my concerns. Great follow through on commitments and really just made it an easy transaction. He was also very helpful and kind to my granddaughters and did a little baby sitting while I did paperwork. He was great to deal with and I will recommend the dealership to anyone looking for a new vehicle.

Great Dealership & Staff

We were looking for a newer van and checked out Midway! From the moment we walked in we were treated family! Brad Klatt went out of his way to help us with our purchase of a 2007 Dodge Grand Caravan they had! Two days after we took the van home we found the back passenger doors would not unlock with the fob or inside lock buttons. We called and they said to bring it back in and they would make it right! They gave s a nice loaner car to drive (2014 Impala) until ours was fixed. They fixed our doors for free (at a cost to them of at $1200), and then delivered it back to us (about 100+ miles away) with a full tank of gas! We would highly recommend this dealership when looking for a new vehicle, and especially Brad! Thanks guys!!!

Best buying experience in 35 years!

I called a few days ahead about a car I found on their website. I spoke to Kevin who was so helpful and knowledgeable. He promptly returned my calls the few times I was unable to get right through to him. He helped us line up our financing and with payment questions. The day we drove there, Kevin had our (pre-owned) car out front, cleaned, shined to perfection, and ready for us!It was the best customer service around! We were treated as if we were the only buyer there (they were busy), and even though we were purchasing a pre-owned car, they treated us as if we were buying their most expensive car. That meant a lot to us. We drove 1.5 hrs to buy there and it was worth the time. They will be our dealership from now on.We were back in the area the next day and decided to stop in again with a few more questions. They still took time out to help us for over an hour! Again, we were treated as if we were the most important ones there. Most dealerships are done with you the minute you sign the papers, but not Midway. Good up front.

The interaction with the guys online and on the phone was great. Got approved and everything straightened out before I ever drove up to the lot. Problem I have is that after purchasing the vehicle it left me stranded 3 times the next day. I told the sales man and he asked me to send receipts of what I spent fixing it. Then I never hear anything again. I have tried to reach out since I do have a limited warranty on the vehicle. Probably won't recommend this dealer to anyone. I could not bring truck back to get worked on by the dealership due to no one answered the phones the multiple times I called and I needed to get to work. So I did the work myself less than 24 hours after purchase.

It was FLAWLESS...

I just want to say how wonderful it was to do business with Midway Motors! They are hands down the best! From the first call that I received after inquiring about our vehicle that we found online to the day that we picked our car up to 2 days later when Jon called and said that he was mailing our other key phobe. Midway motors definitely takes pride in what they do! I live in Oklahoma and found our 2014 Malibu online through Cargurus. The price was great, the miles were low, the car was beautiful. So I sent an email to them Saturday night and on Monday Jon calls me. He is SUPER nice, very professional and just and extremely positive person. They got us a better interest rate and held the vehicle for us until Friday. We headed up there Friday afternoon about 330, by the time we got there is was right at 7 and they had been closed for an hour. I felt so bad because he had to wait on us but he didn't mind at all, he was standing there with a smile on his face to greet us. I just want to say that I am forever greatful for Midway! I used to buy in Wichita, but my last The staff was friendly and did everything they could to local a vehicle for us. After several attempts to find one at another location we ended up getting the Denali that we wanted from the beginning. I've enjoyed purchasing my vehicles at Midway in McPherson, I have bought my last 4 vehicles here and would recommend others to check it out.

I felt like Tom Mora knew the vehicle and was interested in actually getting to know us and find the vehicle that would fit our needs. After the test drive, it was left up to us to either continue pursuing the deal or walk away. I didn't feel like there were sharks circling us. It was all very friendly and low pressure.

This is the only place to buy.

I have bought new and used cars from all the major American made dealers in Wichita over the last 40 years. From now on Midway Motors is the only place I will shop. Their website is very useful and easy to use. I talked to Rod on Friday about the suv I was interested in and told him I would be there the next day at noon. Even though it was his day off he was there when I got there and was very good to work with. I did not feel rushed or pressured and I am happy about my buying experience.

Outstanding

This was our first time purchasing from Midway Motors. We found the vehicle on autotrader and contacted the dealership. Mike Gumm was attentive and patient with all of our questions. We had planned to drive down (300 mile one way) to look at the vehicle, but he offered to have it delivered at his risk in the case we found to vehicle to not meet our needs. I was shopping for a new truck nationwide and came across midway website. Pretty descriptive and got pre-appoved right away. Bill called me and said Steve was working on the final financing detail and called me within an hour. It's nice to shop and negotiate knowing all the financing is done. Other members of my family have bought several cars from Midway before, and all have been great experiences, but this was the first time any of us had worked with Brad. I would highly recommend him to anyone. He asked what I was looking for up front and stayed within my interests and budget. He worked with me all day as I wanted to compare cars at the lot in Newton. I ended up going with the car at the McPherson- it was what I wanted and was under my budget. He did everything he could to make it a great deal and ensure I was satisfied with my purchase. We gave Midway the specs of the vehicle we wanted, and the gave us exactly what we we asking for (and we were pretty particular). Terrible never again!

Rod was nothing but nice before sale even sent vehicle to our house to test drive it but after sale we found transmission fluid burnt.While they changed fluid Rod left my wife standing 45 min before another salesman got her a loaner we had set up appointment days before because we had appointment. Only to get 3 miles and have low fuel light come on! Apparently not there job to put fuel in loaner even when they sell you a 20000 dollar vehicle. Asked service man why fluid was not checked before sale and management only allows them to look over certain vehicles. I had bought an extended warranty only to have them tell me transmission rebuild might not be all covered depending on what they found if they tore it down and may get billed for loaner car if they could not find anything wrong! I have bought 1500 dollar cars without warranty i have felt better about. NEVER want to deal with Midway again or Rod Martin!

Had a great experience. We have purchased several vehicles from Midway Motors. I was contacted by the dealership thinking we might be interested in a Denali that had just arrived on the lot. A few phone calls to agree on price. Then made appointment to sign papework and take ownership of the truck on Saturday. I told Kris that we didn't want to spend much time getting the paperwork taken care of and he agreed. We were in and out of the dealership in 15 minutes. Kris is very good and had everything ready to go for our appointmnet.

I'm a returning customer. I traded off my 2007, Focus, 70k miles for a 2013 Focus, 37k miles. The car had some small hail dents. Midway Motors said, We'll fix all this for this price. I did not think they would have the car ready in the time frame specified. They did. We traded ownership of the cars the day of the sale. Purchase Experience with Jeff Biehler

I have known Jeff from back in my college days, and knew I could completely trust him. He is a man of integrity and knows cars. So when I was moving back to the U.S. from a 5-year assignment in Hong Kong, and needed to buy two used vehicles sight-unseen, I knew he would be a good option for me. He did not disappoint! Two great cars at what I think we're very competitive prices, and the customer service experience, from Jeff and from Midway in general, especially when having to deal with me long distance, was top notch. I would give my 100% recommendation to Jeff and to Midway. Your used car salesman, your mechanic, and your tax accountant are 3 people it is very important to be able to trust. I have the first one covered. With these cars I think the second one won't be too big of a concern. The third one, well that may just not be possible.

Would not trust this dealerlship

I would not recommend this dealership. Our experience started out negative from the time we arrived at the dealership. We had called to ask questions about a 2013 Chev Equinox that I had found advertised on their website. Before we drove the 2+ hours to view and drive the vehicle we called to ask questions about the condition and history of it. At first they could not find it on the lot and then we were told it was because it was in "detail". Obviously not because when we arrived 3 days later the inside of the car and engine compartment was very dirty and had almost 3,0000 miles more on the odometer than what was stated in the listing on the website. After Neil had found the vehicle and returned our phone call to describe the vehicle, Neil said that it was in perfect condition but never mentioned the dent in the back tailgate During negotiations of the vehicle we asked about trading wheels and tires from another Equinox that was featured on their website and were told that a sales person had driven it to show a prospective customer out of town and probably sold. At the end of our sale, we walked to our car and to my surprise, parked next to our personal vehicle was the car we were told was not available! They could have just said "no, we can't do that for you". After we made the deal on the 2013 Equinox Neil asked if we would like the car delivered to us since we had driven 2 hours to view the car. We certainly took him up on this offer since it was more convenient and told him that it would have to be Thursday or later since I would be out of town for a business conference until then. During this time we asked them to change the oil in the vehicle, remove the dent in the tailgate and detail it since obviously that had not been done. He agreed. Imagine my surprise when I received a call on Tuesday from a driver stating that my vehicle was sitting in my driveway and the keys were under the floormat. That was not what had been agreed upon and a huge inconvenience to me since I was out of town. I did not want my new vehicle exposed to the weather until I returned home, nor available for anyone to steal since the keys were left in it. After several phone calls to Midway Motors,( one of which they offered to come back and get the vehicle and take it to McPherson until I returned home; just what I wanted was more miles put on the car!) they did take it to a friends place of business so that it could be put in a garage. In their haste to deliver the vehicle the oil was not changed. The car had been washed but not detailed as we thought it would be. I highly recommend Chevrolet since the last new vehicle I purchased was 21 years ago and still own today. It has been the most dependable car I've ever owned. That is why I decided to purchase another. Midway Motors took the excitement out of buying a new car all these years later and turned it into nothing but a disappointment.

Brad went out of his way to help me get into the car I wanted, and quickly! I asked him about a certain car on Friday morning, one not on the lot, but at another dealership 20 miles away. Awfull Experience

This dealership in both Hutchinson and McPherson seem kinda lazy, you have to actively search a salesman out (I was actually able to test drive a vehicle around their lot and nobody came out to help or say anything). They do not price off of KBB or NADA but Black Book as it usually seems they are higher than the KBB retail price. This is one of the worst dealerships I have ever been to. I would wade through the sea of salesmen at Rusty Eck before I come back here.

Looking for a "good" used car for our college student 4 hours away. It needed to be dependable and economical. John called me before this one had been through the shop. I liked what I heard. Not only did they completely go through it by servicing, they also turned the rotors, installed 4 new tires, and did an alignment. They got us as best as possible what we were looking for at a very good price. They went with our budget we gave them and made this car work--- 2004 Concorde. We definitely will recommend.

Midway Motors provided an excellent customer experience. They had a great selection of the type of vehicle I was purchasing. Dutch was very friendly and helpful and treated me like family. He went out of his way to find me the right vehicle and made me a good deal on it, but I never felt pressured or uncomfortable. They were very cordial, helpful therefore making the purchase of our new Buick Enclave stress free and pleasant. They worked with us to come up with a payment that we were comfortable with, and there wasn't any pressure applied to get the sale completed. We would be more than happy to go back again. This is the second purchase that we have made at Midway Auto in McPherson, and both times the experiences were stress free and enjoyable. I contacted Tres via email interested in a new GMC Terrain. He was very prompt in responding to my email and helped me with color considerations, etc. When we determined we liked a vehicle on their lot, we arranged to go in for a test drive after work. Tres was knowledgable and if he did not know the answer to one of my questions he immediately found someone who did. We had two vehicles to trade in. When the first payment calculations came out higher than we wanted, they stayed late to find alternatives that were acceptable to us. Everyone we talked to was friendly and welcoming. When we came in during regular hours the next day Tres introduced us to the guys in the service department. Again, they were friendly and welcoming. There was no pressure. It was a very enjoyable experience and I would definitely recommend giving this dealership a try and working with these three guys.
