Car Service. You pay for it. You really never know if the company responsible for your service is truly the best company or provides the best service, but when you finally do decide to pay for what is advertised as the best exceptional service, you are supposed to be glad you did. In an emergency situation, I selected Mercedes-Benz Easton as my service provider and was hoping to receive "high quality" service as they advertise. I was told the periodic (once every 1-2 months) vibration and the check engine light to my E350 Benz was coccurring because the spark plugs were dirty and I needed new spark plugs. When I asked if they diagnosed correctly and how they knew, the service advisor, Brent Johnson, shared the computer in the Mercedes tells them exactly what is wrong and it records every warning signal. He told me the service I paid for has a 12 month warranty. Several month later, my car began to do the exact same thing (vibration and check engine light). When I call Brent Johnson back and shared, he told me to bring the car back in and shared again it's under warranty. Although the car is doing the exact same thing, Brent Johnson share that the actual problem is a coil problem. Needless to say I questioned why/how did they misdiagnose and charge me for a service that wasn't the issue. Now you all know what was said! I don't even need to say for anyone who ever experienced car service at Mercedes-Benz Easton. What has made my experience even worse is the phone conversations I had with their Fit Operation Director (Scott Morrison) and service Director (Ken Bennett). Both attempted to do the normal "fast talk" not let the customer talk tactic. You know the one they often do on women and this is the why women often ask a man to go with them for service or to buy a car. In talking with Scott Morrison and sharing I was still awaiting his call to my written correspondence I sent over a week ago, he stated he received my e-mail but the attachment went into his spasm. I'm not a computer expert but receiving the email and the attachment going directly to spasm doesn't sound right to me. When I tried to share my concern, Scott Morrison refused to allow me to talk and he talked over over me. As he did, he lied saying his staff didn't have records of my vehicle. When I checked him and he realized I knew he was not being truthful, he became more arrogant, told me to take my car somewhere else and he hung up the phone on me. I am a very displeased customer and feel as thought I have been xxxxx by Mercedes-Benz Easton! The total disrespect is alarming and disturbing!It is my hope that owner Steve Germain doesn't approve of such behavior and service. I hope to hear from Mr. Germain or a representative from his family.

When I first started looking around for a new car I checked a few different dealerships and met a few different salesman. Eric stood out from all of the rest! He listened to what I wanted, and found the best 'fit' for me. Many of the other salesman seemed to want to push me into what "they wanted" me to buy, rather than listening to what I wanted in a car. He was very "low pressure" and made me feel comfortable. In the end we were able to work out an EXCELLENT deal, and I am very happy with my decision. I would, and already have, recommend him to anyone looking to buy a car, you will have a great experience!

Gave us a very low price on our trade-in and was told my the Sales Manager that they would have to put $1000 in it before they could put it on the lot. This was a 2 yr old Prius with 12000 miles, always kept in a garage and immaculate. I wonder why dealers do that???? They lose sales. We bought from another dealer that was very fair and honest.

I was searching for options on a new Mercedes CLA250 and and a dealership, and eventually found dealerrater.com. I saw so many great reviews on Chris Longnecker at Mercedes Benz Easton and emailed him for an appointment. I was still on the fence about the purchase when I went to see him, but left that day with a brand new 2016 Mercedes CLA250, which I am absolutely in LOVE with! Chris' reviews were spot on; his customer service was exceptional. He was prompt, answered all of my questions, and heard all of my wants and followed-through. Chris did not play games on car prices, packages, etc. I have purchased six cars to-date. This was honestly my first enjoyable experience. I felt respected, heard and most importantly as a woman, I did not feel as if I was being taken advantage of, or spoken to as if I was ignorant of cars, performance, specs, etc. Chris was very kind and didn't push me into a purchase. I would recommend Chris for your new car purchase and would highly recommend Germain Mercedes at Easton. I have been taken my previous two Mercedes here for service and I have always experienced 5star service. After my purchase, the general manager, sales manager and even the business manager all came by to congratulate me on my new purchase! Scott Ragland was very nice and took the time to speak with me about some important safety features of my new vehicle. Both managers made sure I was 100% satisfied with the service I was receiving and checked on me during times when Chris was running around getting my vehicle ready for a test drive, running numbers with the finance team, etc. Even other salesman congratulated me as I walked through the dealership. Everyone was very kind and welcoming throughout the process. I have never had such a minimal amount of anxiety when purchasing a car! We were pleased with our experience working with Eric Gray. We purchased a used Sprinter van from out of state, which made the sales process a bit complicated. Eric was in contact with us by e-mail, text, and phone call to answer questions and to try to resolve issues as they arose. We finally agreed to a deal, and made the drive from Wisconsin to Columbus, Ohio and Mercedes-Benz of Easton. Once we arrived at the dealership to pick up the vehicle, Eric spent several hours walking us through the sales paperwork, and then patiently walking us through the features of the vehicle. Overall we were very pleased with the interaction at the dealership. I would definitely work with Eric again if the opportunity arises.The one sour note in all this is that the vehicle suffered a failing temperature sensor within the first thousand miles after purchase. I don't know how common this is for Sprinters, but the occurrence so soon after purchase was definitely an "off" note. This is a used vehicle (around 38,000 miles), which may factor in.

I t was great experience until I realized they sold me a mercedes with a broken windshield it was a small crack in the upper left corner that I didn't not see upon buying the vehicle the process went fast and it was raining so when it stopped raining it rained every day for about a week I clean the car notice the crack and immediately contact the dealership and they are telling me its my problem I don't believe this is fair and would like to return the car if they can't make it right I like eric he is a good salesman don't understand Richard his boss not wanting to make this right for the customer it cost Germain $225.00 to replace would you pay thay to retain a customer?

Eric Gray showed us several cars while we were just out kicking tires, thinking about trading in our 2010 C300. Although we were looking for a car 2 - 3 years old, he wound up showed us a 2016 loaner car that had about 3,000 miles on it that they had just pulled into the show room. They were great to work with, and we wound up with that car. Eric did a great job, both there and in following up with us after the sale. Chris Longenecker was fantastic! We came in on the weekend, it was cold and late - didn't matter. Chris showed us any car we wanted to see, answered any questions we had, (and we had them, trust me!) and didn't scream like a baby when we took turns too fast or real-time tested the brakes.When we finally settled on the car we loved, the sun had set. We may have been the last customers left, but you wouldn't have known it by the way we were treated.Chris Longenecker gave us the full treatment, Ryan Austin took care of the business end, a kind gentleman ensured the car was clean and full of gas, and we were on our happy way.Exactly the way an automobile purchase should be: superior customer service, irrespective of the hour or day on the sales end, and a smooth, swift, transparent transaction on the business end. Andrew Culver, in the Service Department, ROCKS! I called Mercedes-Benz of Easton because I had some general questions about a vehicle in which I plan to purchase. I struck a deal with Levi Jacob on a Tuesday and purchased my slk350. Couldn't get back till Saturday as I live in another part of the state. When I showed up Saturday I was greeted by Eric gray. He quickly made me feel at home and got the ball rolling as if he had made the sale. The facility was clean and professionally decorated. I felt as if I was at the rodeo drive L.A. Dealership. Well staffed as I hate to wait for anything. This is the type of treatment one would expect from an appointment only dealership.

Out of all my car buying experiences, I have never felt so disrespected and ripped off by a dealership. Mercedes-Benz of Easton is a disgrace to what I know to be a great brand. I was in the process of buying a used car through Eric Gray (sales rep) and Richard Renner (pre-owned sales manager). I live out of state so after we agreed to a price I asked them to start drawing up the paperwork, and I asked Eric if I could put a deposit down to hold the vehicle so that no one else would buy it. At the point I was told by Eric that that was not their policy, but that after speaking with Mr. Renner it was agreed that if they saw proof of financing that we had a deal. I sent them the approval letter from the bank, and then Eric got all the paperwork ready to be shipped over-night. It was New Year's Eve (Thursday) at closing time, so we agreed to talk first thing Saturday (the next day they were open). Eric called first thing in the AM and reassured me it was a done deal and proceeded to get the final info in order. A few hours later, Richard Renner left me a voicemail saying they sold the car to someone else. I called Eric to see what was going on and he had no idea this had even happened and also felt taken by Mr. Renner. Per Eric, he said that there had been another couple that was looking at another vehicle that was similar, but they had been persuaded by Renner to get the vehicle I was in the process of purchasing, which had already been taken off of the lot. I spoke to Renner and asked how this could happen and he told me that because they had not received payment, they sold the vehicle. Basically, what had happened was that he was in the process of selling the vehicle to me at a price a little below the sticker, but in the meantime he saw a opportunity to sell it at the a higher price. On Thursday, I had offered to give Eric my payment info several times in order to put down a deposit, because as I mentioned before, I live out of state so it was impossible for me to physically get the money there before someone who walks in. Also, if I had known someone else was interested in the vehicle, I would have gladly paid more to get the car. I told Mr. Renner I felt ripped off and that what they had done in this situation was "bad business". Renner laughed at my comment and asked what I would have done if you had a loan approval from someone out of state or someone local trying to buy right way. I explained to him that I would honor the deal I had already agreed to, or at least I would have called the person out-of-state to let them know there was another person interested in buying the car before the deal was done. Like I said, I was more than willing to pay more for the car. However, he didn't call me until the car was off the lot. This is not my first Mercedes, and this isn't something I would've expected to happen while going through what I thought to be a trusted brand and a reputable dealership to purchase another vehicle. I felt as though the only thing Renner was concerned with was profits, and not the customer experience. I hope no one else has to go through a situation like this, because there are plenty of other dealerships with integrity that are doing things the right way.

Needless to say, I was quite surprised when I started my car in the morning only to see a warning light that I had no power steering...since I was just in for service, I contacted my service rep, Raquel Hinkle.Raquel walked me through the process...call MB roadside assistance and have the car brought to the dealership...she then arranged for a loaner car to be delivered to my office! After the car was repaired (software update) Raquel immediately contacted me and arranged for my car to be delivered to me and for the loaner to be picked up.What was initially a major inconvenience turned out to be a great example of what excellent customer service looks like. I have purchased several cars from several large dealerships and have not had a salesman that had the attitude of Steve Bennett. He was friendly from the first words we exchanged. I had not had much experience or knowledge with Mercedes, but I knew I liked what they have been producing. After about 10 minutes of taking with Steve he started a test drive, explained what the car was about, there was no issues with the price. I recently took my Mercedes ML to. Germain. Of Easton for the repair of the wheel speed sensor which was fixed adequately but the dealer recommended repairs that were estimated at over $5,500 including the following:1) Replacement of my serpentine belt because it had cracks in it. It was replaced only 30,000 miles ago (Dec 2012) and didn't have any cracks. 2) replacement of left and right engine mounts. Both tested and were found to be good.3) Replacement of all four tires that had only 20,000 miles and 6/32of tred left. This was my first time and now the last time I will take any of my vehicles to Germain. When these kinds of repairs are recommended that are not needed it comes down to a matter of trust and that is where I am at right now. I addressed these concerns to the advisor and have not heard from him. What does that tell you? I

I was very nervous about purchasing a vehicle unforeseen besides via internet. Researched and shopped around for months before finally making the purchase of a '13 GLK. What a huge mistake! I will never make a purchase without reviewing the vehicle in person and within a reasonable driving distance. Salesman, Chris Longenecker was very friendly, knowledgeable and helped put my mind at ease. Residing 600 miles away in Charleston, SC from Columbus, OH I was a the mercy of whomever I could get on the phone to resolve the endless issues that are currently still ongoing since the purchase of my vehicle on May 23, 2014 up to todays date of July 29, 2014. Car was not registered in SC , which is an issue because I should have received my tags from SC since 7/5/14. After waiting several days. I visited my local DMV to discovered the car was never registered in SC. No one from the dealership contacted me to inform me that there was a problem. 48 business days (Not including wk end) later no resolution & no tags. 1. Car was not filled with gas. Resolution after speaking with several people & waiting several days, finally received a $50 gift card. 2. Inside of vehicle was not cleaned & photos were sent. Resolution, a real nice sorry (in other words, we can not help because you live 600 miles away.).3. Temporary tags were not sent. Resolution, temp tag was fedex overnight, but incorrect state of OH and not for SC. Resolution, I'm still without tags & proper registration.4. Blown fuse, driver seat does not properly function. Resolution, was told to take to my local dealership.On a positive note the receptionists are very friend and try to help as much as possible when calling with an issue.

I have never had a worse experience at an auto shop. I was severely disappointed by the poor service and unprofessional attitudes I received. There were a number of problems with my visit, but for brevitys sake I will focus on the most egregious. The service rep, Eddie Powell, told me that I could combine coupons over the phone. I said, if that was the case, then I would go ahead and authorize a brake oil change on top of the services they had already done, which I would not have authorized without the coupon. When I went to pay, however, Eddie hadn't taken off any discounts. The cashier had to call him back to the desk to fix it. I reminded him that he told me that I could take off both coupons. He turned around and told the cashier to only take off one coupon, probably hoping I wouldn't catch it. Then he walked away. When I pointed out the mistake to the cashier, she had to call him back again. He said he had misunderstood me, even though I had made it clear on the phone. He didnt apologize, and they kept ringing up the bill like nothing had happened. I was shocked, so I asked to speak to a manager. They had me wait a while for the manager, and then Eddie came back to tell me that he had checked with the manager and that I couldn't use two coupons. I didnt want to talk to Eddie, I wanted the manager! Evidently they didn't think I was important enough to speak to the manager. When I finally saw the manager, he was completely unsympathetic that his employee had promised me one thing and then took it back when I went to pay. He treated me like I was a child, repeating that I couldn't use two coupons. I told him that I understood and respected his policy, but it was completely unprofessional for his employee to promise me one thing and then change it when I went to pay. He didnt apologize either. Even without this incident, going to Mercedes-Benz of Easton would have been a bad experience based on how unprofessional Eddie was. Basic things like spelling my name, issuing the correct invoice, or providing half an attempt at explaining the services. Maybe other reps are good at their jobs. Kristi, the cashier, and the courtesy car drivers were nice and other reps seemed much more professional with their customers than Eddie was with me. I will never go back to Mercedes-Benz of Easton.

To whom it may concern:I purchashed a 2014 CLS 550 Mercedes Benz last year from Germain Mercedes, when I was actually going to do business with my local dealer in Dublin, Crown Mercedes. Needless to say it is easier and closer for me to have my service appointmens in Dublin as well, plus I also have a Cadillac Escalade and have used your service a few times before a few years ago and wasn't pleased. Therefore I had no intentions of using your sevice department for the Benz either. I had been using Capitol Cadillac in Dublin and was going to use Crown for the Mercedes. However I was at Easton shopping and decided to use the complimentary car wash just for convenience purposes. That is where the Service Mananger Mike Moore kindly introduced himself to me, becuase he overheard me telling someone how I couldn't believe I was back here because I was highly dissatisfied with the service aspect of the dealership. At that point Mike made sure he went above and beyond to accomodate all my vehicles service needs. He if very professional, knowledgable, honest, and so kind. Not to mention always accesible and if a voicemail is left returns call in an expidted fashion. Since Mike has become my service advisor, I call him for every minor and major service issue, and well as to order addtional items for car. I have already needed warranty fixes, to schedule A and B services and beyond. It is also hard to find someone with the utmost intergrity and honesty that I don't ever question what he suggest because I trust what he says. I am very pleased and would never think of going anywhere else, or using anyone else as my service manager except for Mike. What a terrible Service experience! Well, almost. You see, we are in the expediting business and have a new Mercedes Benz Sprinter cargo van. The Sprinter is great, but unfortunately it does need serviced every once in a while. That's where our complaint lies. Any dealership can sell vehicles, but it takes an excellent dealership (who really cares about the customer, and doesn't just play the part) to follow through with the support needed after the sale. This IS NOT that dealer! We expedite with our Sprinter and it is very difficult to know where we will be on any given day. On Feb. 11th, we scheduled our Sprinter for an "A" Service at 8 A.M. the following morning with Andy Culver (at the time we thought he was just a Service Writer, but his card says Service Manager. Really?) Upon arrival, we pulled our Sprinter into the service lane and were greeted by a very friendly person (didn't get his name) who said that "Andy" was their Sprinter Service appointee and would be "more than happy" to take care of us. Great, right? WRONG!!! When Andy came out, he gruffly asked us for our mileage and what we needed. We told him an "A" Service. He was very customer unfriendly! Not at all representative of the Mercedes Brand we know! He then told us to come inside and he would get additional info as needed. Well, as we were discussing the service (ours was due for an "A", not a "B" Service) he wrongly argued with us that we were due for the very expensive "B" Service. WE WERE NOT, and told him so! Instead of looking it up in the Service Manual (page 4, 1st paragraph) he instead argued with my husband and insisted that we were going to get the "B" Service. By this time, my husband said that he could feel the blood inside him starting to boil so, rather than creating a scene, he calmly said to Andy that we would just go to one of the other service facilities that we deal with. Just for the record, that would be either of the following A+++ dealerships: Mercedes Benz of N. Olmstead, Ohio or Mercedes Benz of Ft. Mitchell, Ky.. Now, believe us, these fine people know how to take care of a customer. We will be contacting Mercedes Benz about our Easton Mercedes Benz experience. We are expediters for heaven's sake! This was not a "pleasure" buy, it was a business decision! Until this episode with Easton, we have had nothing but kind words to say about Mercedes and it's dealers. We still believe that, however, WE WILL NOT be going back to Easton M.B. anytime in the near future!!!

WE want to let the folks at Germain Mercedes know,how wonderful our car buying experience was,which was due the efforts of Chris Longenecker. I called on Friday, November 12, 2013 at approximately 9:05 A.M. to speak with Travis Daniel. I told him I liked one of the E 350s. I asked him to go and doublecheck that the car was in top shape as was described. He was kind enough to do so and called me back within minutes to let me know the vehicle was in superb condition. With that information I told him I was going to call him back about 11am when I had the chance. At 10:29 I called to let him know that I was going to be tied up beyond the 11:00 time frame. I called and left a message on his voicemail at about 11:38. I received a call back from him at about 12:20 P.M. at which time I gave him an offer on the car; I had my money and was going to bring them a cashier check upon consumation of the agreement. He asked if I was going to pick up the car the same day, I said no since I lived out of state. He went to submit the offer and call me back. Not only did it take Travis 41/2 hours to get back with me, he told me someone else was interested in the car and was on the way to look at it. The question that continues to brew in my mind is what transpired during those long hours of waiting for a response? Is there nothing like common courtesy anymore? Worse yet, he comes up with such an ear-shattering news. I write this review because I feel that Travis was negligent and does not abide by the same creed on his profile that states that "you should always treat people the way you would want to be treated." My question to Travis therefore is if he in fact treated me the way he would like others to treat him. I am not discounting that Travis cowld be a good sales person. He has made many people happy I would conjecture, along with the good reviews he may have received from others. However, he did not follow through with the expectations I have of people that represent Mercedes Benz. Nevertheless, I am not agitating that people should not buy from Travis, neither am I saying that people should boycott your dealership. I'm only saying that Travis should make every effort to live up to what he states on his profile page or take it down. The pupose of reviews as you might know is to be more aware of what you do, and how you treat others. We were once Mercedes Benz family and switched over to Lexus. I was at the verge of switching back to Benz, but thank you for helping me stop this move and reconsider if this is a good course of action. I hope this review helps you reconsider how you treat others. Best wishes to you and your future endeavors. Meanwhile, I doubt if Mercedes Benz will be a choice for me. Lexus stands tall and it has stood tall for us for years now.

Coldest day in Ohio, rear window opened and would not close, my wife is disabled, and we're from out of town. Drove in at closing, and they gave us immediate attention. Two or three service technicians started working on the car immediately, they ushered us into the comfortable waiting room, and offered us coffee. We were pretty cold and it was a great experience not only being warm, but the attention we received was fantastic. You do not get this kind of treatment very often. You can't train people to be this courteous, it has to be inborn. They knew how to address the problem and we were on our way in no time. We are extremely thankful to Tim Champ, Cassidy Lowe, and Brian, and all the staff that gave us excellent service and attention. They could have said they were closed and sent us on our way. But they didn't. They went the extra mile and we are very thankful for the way that they turned an unfortunate situation into a very enjoyable experience.I hope they keep up this A1 service! It just can't be excelled.

Customer service at Germain Easton Mercedes Benz is substandard. A few weeks ago, I called to schedule an service appointment and was told that the scheduler would call me back. Sje never did. Despite the inconvenience, I called the service department again and scheduled an appointment for 7:00 AM yesterday. That was a big mistake. I arrived at 7:00 AM. Unfortunately, a service representative was not around to take my car, at least not anyone on the Mercedes Benz side. I could see customers being waited on across the garage in the Cadillac service department. So I browsed the sticker prices of the MB inventory housed in the garage to past the time. To my astonishment when the service person finally showed up at 7:15, AM, he remarked that the service department opens at 8 AM. Really, why would the service department give me an appointment for 7 AM? Not to mention that customers were being served on the other side when I arrived.Next, the service advisor told me to take a seat (while he got situated, organized or something else - who knows at this point). I was so annoyed and extremely dissatisfied with the front end experience when he called me to the service desk at 7:30 AM. Unacceptable...Germain of Easton has lost my business for good.

Recently purchased 2008 C 300 had a sensor fail that lead me to believe I had fuel when I didn't. Car was towed in after hours and dropped off. I have never written a review and find most salespeople useless. Having said that, my experience at Mercedez-Benz of Easton was exceptional. I purchased a used car and my salesperson was Melisa Greenberg. I found her extremely competent, knowledgeable, personable, sincere, honest, and helpful. Prior to me asking, she provided information about the car, that I would have eventually asked, to help in making my decision to purchase. She provided some prior history of the car, a carfax, and a print out of real market values of the car based on purchase prices around the country for the prior month (both private and dealership sold prices). She explained how the dealership does business by not inflating the used car price. I found this true because of price searching on the internet for other dealers and sellers. I never felt I someone was trying to sell me a car. I was provided the information and help I needed to make a decision in purchasing the car. Additionally, Melisa found financing cheaper than I did with my credit union. The bottom line is, I could not have asked for a car buying experience better than I had. Melisa is the high caliber of person I expect to deal with but very seldom encounter.

Service deptmartment has been great. Tho I have been having to deal several differt people because of personnel change. I have been a little disappointed with the sales dept. I do not like to be pressured in to a sale. When I do come in for service on my 320 E I alwas look at the new E class. You never know when one will suit me and I'll buy it. But do not pressure me in to it. That is one sure way you will not get a sale from me. One time I was in one of you salesmen had me set for over 30 minutes because he was dealing with another customer on a higher price car than what I was looking at. I think your sales team would do better working has a team. It sets real bad with customers there are only in it for them selves.

This dealership provided for an amazing first-time car purchasing experience. I visited there twice for several hours in order to buy a new 2013 Pure Coupe Smart car, and the process was extremely smooth. The first thing I noticed is that almost immediately after inquiring into the vehicle, Shawn introduced himself and Eric as the people who would be walking me through the process. A few business hours later, and I had a giant personalized email answering many of my questions including specific examples on lease/financing costs, warranty plan costs, and spec sheets for a few vehicles in question - he even highlighted plans most appropriate to me based on what I had initially told him. On the actual visit, I was able to look around the cars and talk to Eric regarding a number of my concerns with the vehicle; the sales people definitely know the cars inside and out. Of course a salesman has very little negative to say about the car, but he also was very truthful and all of his claims could be verified easily by real-world owners on the Smart car forums (not to mention they were verified by actually driving the vehicle itself!). I was able to test drive the car with little hassle. Eric kept in touch with me throughout the process and was extremely quick to answer any questions that popped up through phone or email. When actually leasing the car, Shawn was able to work with my very short history of credit. As a 24 year old first time car owner, he spent probably a good hour finding solutions that would work for both me and the leasing team - I was still able to drive the car off the lot same day with a larger down payment. As far as pricing goes, the lease special offered on the Smart was incredible - in a 200 mile radius, I couldn't find a better deal as the lot cars had more features than other similarly-priced Smarts at other dealers. Despite being at a really "high class" dealership, I was treated just the same as people buying their extremely high luxury Mercedes vehicles. After leasing Eric spent a lot of time going over the various service aspects of the dealership, giving me a tour and introducing me to people who are in charge at that side of the business. He also spent a substantial amount of time going over everything in and out of the car, even though he did so for the test drive a few days earlier. During the signing process, Shawn did a solid job explaining the basics of the contracts and answering questions more specific to the fine print. All in all, my time here is definitely ranked among the best of customer service I have ever received, and I definitely would want to buy from here in the future. They're fun and pleasant people, and they definitely will go beyond most people to take care of your concerns.Oh, and the Eric is actively involved in the Smart Car of America forum community. I thought that it is a nice little touch, and it definitely helps in his ability to address concerns and provide verifiable real-world examples of why this car is so great to own.

I purchased my ML350 in February 2012 CPO at a dealership located up North and was due for the service B. I took my car into the dealership and was told verbally that the service B plan costed $399.00 but with a discount that I had provided I was under the impression that the total cost of my car would be less than $399.00. At that time, Cassidy went over all the items that would be addressed during my service appointment and at no time during the conversation did he mention that some of the items that he was speaking about were additional cost to the service B plan. Nor did he ever say that these items were optional. At the end of the conversation he indicated that I need to sign here to approve the maintenance on the car and no one had even taken a look at my vehicle for an assessment. Unfortunately, I signed the document because I had no concerns since he stated that cost of the service was $399.00.When we returned to the office to pick up the car the total cost of my so-called Service B plan was over $1000. At that time we spoke with Cassidy and then asked to speak to the general manager over our concerns. At first, the general manager would not speak to us stating that there was nothing that he would do on his end. Finally, there was some conversation about the customer service that was rendered and the final total cost should have been verbalized to us at the initial contact point. It was stated that it would cost $399.00 for the required Service B, but at no time in the conversation was the final cost stated to be over $1000 when complete. I understand that the expenses of owning a luxury car will be more; however, I do expect a higher standard of customer service when dealing with the dealership. I was extremely disappointed in the way the whole experience and how it eventually ended. We were not asking for free repairs just a full and complete disclosure (cost included) prior to the maintenance. I have been a Mercedes owner for a few years (various cars) and after this experience I will most likely never purchase another Mercedes again.

I had been interested in the Smart since it was first introduced not only because of all of the Smart car's features, but also due to the fact that Germain Mercedes Benz of Easton is the only dealer in Columbus and the greater central Ohio area deemed good enough to be a Smart dealer with 3 other MB dealers within an hour's driving time of where I live.A great dealership not only has a good location that's easy to get to, and an incredible facility, but most importantly it has top notch people in the three most important activities that a car dealership needs to be successful...sales, service, and parts.Germain Mercedes Benz of Easton has all of these areas covered with ratings that fair exceed any 5 or 10 star rating system that is available.Shawn Crace and Eric Gray make for a sales team that cannot be matched anywhere that I can think of, and at 64 years of age, and with my new Smart being my 15th car purchase since I was 16 years old, I have delt with nearly three times this many dealerships in making my car purchases.Shawn and Eric spent over 5 hours with me answering all of my questions, letting me test drive cars, examining all of the cars and options that were available of the cars in stock, and finally making it possible for me to finance a new Smart now that I am retired and on a fixed income.The Germain Parts Dept. with the assistance of Jeff Cline and Steve have already helped me with extras for my Smart that make it even more special. My car was broken into, drivers side window was broken and the interior was vandalized. I choose to have the repairs done at Mercedes of Easton. After it took over two weeks for repairs to be completed, when I picked up my car it was still full of glass. I asked that they take it back to have it cleaned once more. Again, my car is still full of glass. I keep finding glass in the sir conditioner vents, cup holders and other various places. The glass clean up is one of the first things I asked be done at the beginning. I would think since they had two weeks to fix the car and spending over $2,000 in repairs, it would come back clean. However, what was fixed was find properly. I was disappointed in the time it took to fix and that my car is still dirty & full of small glass pieces.

I'm a long time BMW owner, and began to fall in love with the Mercedes C300. I located a used MB C300 at Easton/Germain Mecredes that was of interest to me. Richard Renner was nice to work with and referred me to Chris Longenecker for the test drive/transaction etc. Since the CarFax report had indicated a rear accident, yet, the repair was not documented, I requested a pre-purchase inspection. Chris 'balked' at the suggestion and recommended I use "Certifed Mercedes Service and there are only 2 in town, Crown and us." Against my better judgement, I made an appointment with Easton Mercedes Service, knowing they would be biased on the report. A representative from Service, Andy, called me, and stated that the "car had been inspected at intake and it would not be on the lot if there was damage". I was uncomfortable with this, so, I then made an appointment with Crown for the inspection and guess what? Easton refused to let me take the car there. I should have walked away at that moment.I then requested written documentation of the inspection and the service records. The guys took me in the service area and showed me the rear underside and assured me that there were no cracks or damage as a result of the rear end accident. Chris began drawing up the paperwork and as he did, I noticed one of the mats was torn. He offered to sell me a set of new ones! Seriously?! What kind of customer service is that? BMW is far more customer friendlyMy paperwork was drawn up, the transaction was completed and guess what was missing from the pack of papers I was given? The documentation of the inspection and the service records. I've left a message for Chris, I wonder if he'll follow through.

My wife and I were in on Saturday September 8, 2012 to work with Melisa Greenburg and Ian to assist us with the purchase of the 2011 Honda CR-V that was on the lot. From beginning with walking in the front entrance of the Mercedes portion we were welcome by the excellent front desk and from there were taken downstairs where we met with Melisa and Dean in order to get us set up with our test drive. With only being 23 years old and entering a Mercedes dealership was a little weary since we have put off by much lower class dealerships such as Chevy and Honda, but were welcome with open arms and had the best experience of any dealership I have ever entered. I left my car in the possession of Germain Mercedes Service in late April 2012. The service agent told me my car would be ready by the end of the week. I had to call each time I wanted to check on the status of my repair, which was not completed until late June 2012 (2 months). On one occasion I called and the receptionist told me she spoke to my service agent who said he would return my call within 15 minutes. I had to call back two days later because I never received the promised call. I was very understanding. I also called to let my service agent know when I was taking trips out of town. I offered to return the car during these travel time periods so Germain would have use of their loaner vehicle, and to ensure their car was not sitting in an airport parking lot unsupervised. The agent asked me to keep the car each time I offered to return it. Unfortunately, I was still driving the loaner car, and waiting for my car service to be completed, when I experienced a problem with severe tire damage on my way home from work. I was driving down a small road at moderate speed when I experienced a tire blow out (during a lane change to enter a busy bridge). I had to drive the vehicle over the bridge and onto a small side road to safely isolate myself from traffic. I contacted Germain Mercedes who referred me to the service center. I explained what happened and asked if I needed to call my personal road side service assistance number. They asked me to call their road side assistance provider and gave me the phone number. I was stranded for over an hour, but the assistance provider did help me by putting the spare tire on the car. I called Germain the next day to see what further action was required for the loaner car. Andy told me my car would be ready by the end of the day, and asked me to return the loaner car when I picked up my vehicle. I complied with these instructions. I thought everything was settled until I was contacted approximately a week ago by my service agent. Andy told me he had tried to negotiate with another manger, but Germain felt I was ultimately responsible for paying for a new tire and rem on their loaner vehicle. I had already given the details of the event during phone calls and drop-off. When I spoke with Andy, I explained that I was not using the car for any unintended purpose, not driving dangerously/wrecklessly, and following the instructions of Germain by calling road side assistance. I did not have this vehicle because I wanted to drive the car. Rather, I was eagerly awaiting the completion of my car repair...which I had to continually monitor on my own. I have never refused payment for service, and I paid for my car repairs in full at the time of service. I told Andy I wanted to speak with someone about the charges because I do not feel it is appropriate to ask me to purchase a tire and rem for their loaner vehicle. Andy did say he would pass along the message, but this issue is still unresolved. I am rating this establishment poorly because of the excessive time for the repair, the poor communication throughout service, and the resulting offense with the loaner car. I am not sure if the tire was poor quality, but this could have happened to the next person driving the vehicle. Germain seems more concerned about adding another charge to my account than apologizing for service and safety issues. My warranty expires in July 2014. I had planned to purchase a new vehicle from Germain at that time. However, it goes without saying, I will not be a customer of Germain for any future needs due to this experience.

This most recent visit the first thing Chris did was to find out what we wanted and then worked with us and his manager at not only getting us our vehicle but at an even better price than we had hoped for. He took the time to answer all our questions, we felt really relaxed and never felt hurried, in fact I said to my husband "these guys don't act like car salesmen". I made a service appointment prior to having my car towed to the dealer. After I made the appointment two things happened. First, I received a confirmation e-mail that my car would be service at 9:00 a.m. on February 1, 2012. Secondly, I was told by the customer service representative that I could come into the dealership at 5:00 p.m. to get a loaner vehicle.At 5:00 I arrived at the dealership and was told by Andrew that the earliest he could have my car looked at would be Monday and that he did not have any loaner cars. I said to him how can that be I have a confirmed appointment for 9:00 a.m. tomorrow. I indicated that my appointment was confirmed before I had my car towed to the dealership. He then had the other assistant service manager verify what I said. When she checked the computer and verified that I had a confirmed appointment hew said I could probably get one of the two things done tomorrow but will not know until tomorrow by 9:30.I was standing in the dealership after 5:00 wishing someone would have told me this when I called at 1:30 so I could have checked with other dealers. This is the copy of the e-mail I sent to them:Im writing to you today to tell you about my recent experience at Germain Mercedes-Benz at Easton in Columbus, Ohio and express my concerns.On the Friday after Thanksgiving (11/25), my family and I went to your dealership with the intent to buy a brand new ML350. We had some specifications in mind, and we were able to find a vehicle that met our needs. We met the salesman, Travis Daniel, and worked out a satisfactory deal. We signed our papers and paid our deposit, and were promised that the vehicle was to be delivered from an MB dealership in New Jersey within approximately a weeks timeframe. Up to that point, the transaction was reasonably pleasant and perfunctory. As per Travis instructions, we mailed a second deposit payment check (to complete the down payment of $10k) and awaited further communication from him. A week later though, we had no car, and no communication as to what the status of the transaction was. We were told that wed get a call with a status update on 12/5, but that day came and went without a call. We attempted to reach someone in the sales department, but no one was available so had to leave a voicemail. That was to be one of many unreturned voicemails.Finally, on 12/6, nearly two weeks after the sale, we got a short e-mail (not even a phone call) from Bennie Fornash, the sales manager, that the car was unavailable. This was a shock to us, since we had been told nothing at the point of sale that there may be any problems at all with getting the vehicle. We had absolutely no communication from anyone during those two weeks that there were any signs of difficulties getting the vehicle. Although this was understandably a disappointment, Bennie had offered an alternative vehicle in the e-mail that was very similar to the original vehicle we agreed to purchase. This alternative was viable for us, so, despite our reservations, we decided to go ahead with purchasing that car instead.We ran into yet another roadblock here. After we agreed with the purchase of that alternative vehicle, we were told that the vehicle was in fact NOT available for purchase. We were left to wonder, why were we offered a vehicle that we werent even able to buy? At this point, we were tired of the run-around and empty promises, so we decided to cancel the purchase altogether. In the meantime, we found another dealership in our area (Leikin of Willoughby) who were more communicative and willing to work with us and actually come through with a sale.MB of Germain had already cashed the deposit check at this point and promised to send a check back to us for the same amount. Another empty promise. To this date, we have yet to receive a check back from your dealership. We had to make yet another phone call yesterday for the dealership to promise to mail the check back today. No specifics were provided as to the time frame, the delivery method, etc. It remains yet to be seen if this will be yet another empty promise.We understand that, sometimes, a vehicle trade from another dealership doesnt go as planned. We understand that within reason, a customer should have some flexibility of expectations. However, with this long story I just told you, I believe that the sequence of events clearly indicate many problems in the way that the staff at MB of Germain handles a sale. It is inexcusable that, for example, even a $10 purchase from Target.com guarantees me more communication about the status of my purchase than a new car purchase from MB of Germain. The multiple unreturned phone calls and an extreme lack of follow-up (even when they were promised) leads me to believe there are some severe deficiencies in the way that this dealership serves its customers.This was our second MB purchase. We had expected more from a luxury car dealership, and we were disappointed. Not only that, this experience paints the entire Germain franchise in a negative manner. We are a family of multiple BMW and Infinity owners and we were enticed by the conquest cash offer. Unfortunately for this MB dealership, we were treated much worse than we have at multiple BMW dealerships.I believe that in business, communication and feedback is of utmost importance. The rating I gave is based on the excellent service I received from the team at Germain Mercedes when I brought my 2002 c240 in to have the back passenger side window and driver side lock fixed. Immediately I was met with a friendly welcome, they took my car in and supplied me a beautiful loaner vehicle so I would not be without transportation. The next day I received an email followed by a call, they went over the information explaining my cars problems and all my options very clearly. When I had a disagreement about a part being covered by my warranty, they were quick to help resolve the issue and actually covered the repair at no cost to me. My car was returned to me in excellent shape with all the problems fixed and a complimentary cleaning. My wife took our E-class in for its first maintenance today and we were very disappointed. She had an AM appointment and had expected to not have to wait in the service lobby for long. Instead she had to sit for more than an hour with 2 screaming hungry kids because there were no loaner cars, apparently that serivce was not available and the shuttle was no where to be found. In the end a sales woman had to drive my wife and kids home. I guess they get kudos for that but by that time my wife was already disgusted. I had purchased cars from other Germain dealers before (Cadillac and Lexus) and the service was great and the loaner cars made appointments painless. But this was rediculus. This is the second time this happened to me. The first time I brought the car in to get a daytime running light replaced but I wasn't told there was no loaner or shuttle service on the weekend until AFTER I was at the dealer and essentially stranded. You'd think it was a 30min fix. Instead I finally had to call a nearby relaitive to come and get me after waiting for several hours. Pathetic. An entire weekend day wasted! I'm paying all this money in prepaid service and I get treated like I'm at a used car dealership. Glad this is only a 3 yr lease. No more Germain Benz for me!

I guess I did not appear like someone who could afford a C300, he spent all but 5 minutes with me even then he was obviously distracted by a customer who was looking at a car on the lot. The minute the customer approached the door, he told me when I am ready to buy they would always be willing to assist me and bolted. I would have understood if he had previously been dealing with this couple but I watched him introduce himself and ask what they were interested in. I was actually delighted when they verbalized they could not afford what they were looking at.I did talk to Doug Horner who was miles more accomodating even took me on a test drive but I had too much of a bad taste in my mouth to buy my car there.I had previously bought a GL450 brand new in MD with excellent service and this will not be my last Mercedes Benz but he nearly single handedly dropped the brand below Audi and Lexus both of which I have excellent relationships with and will continue to do.It is important to stress to this gentleman that appearance should not be a determining factor in treating customers. I made contact with Brandon via phone twice before coming to the dealership. He was able to provide me with informatin regarding the car and the car's history. When I visit the dealership, he had the car in front ready for a test drive.Brandon was able to get my vehicle trade-in promptly appraised so we could negotiate for the purchase of the new car. Brandon assisted me through the negotiations and was very polite. This was a very low stress negotiation, unlike other dealerships. Doug Horner is a true professional. You are very fortunate to have his on your staff.I am certain he will reached higher levels of responsibility with Germain. As a Retired U.S. Army Senior Field Grade Officer, I am a pretty good judge of characterand leadership. Doug is the entire "package". I was completely satisfied with my salesperson Doug Horner. He made my sale as smooth as he could. I was a little concerned when on both of my first two visits to the dealership, neither of the ladies that greeted me knew who Doug was in the dealership. I understand that he was new, but staff should know staff. Slightly unprofessional. I also was lost in the cracks while waiting to finish the paperwork on my car. Somehow, neither sales manager knew I was waiting. I am not one to anger easily but it took almost 3 hours just to receive the attention necessary for final paperwork and delivery of car. Fortunately, my boss is understanding and did not penalize me for arriving at my job over one hour late. I feel that I received a great deal on my car. I feel that my salesperson did a great job. I would buy another vehicle from this dealer. I just feel that they may want to check their processes and procedures so as to better serve their customers. That is where the money is at for any business.
