My Mom brought her vehicle for service and they asked her if she wanted to lease a newer vehicle "SUV" and better for the same monthly payment and they assured her that she didn't have to worry about the last two payments on her older vehicle and she agreed. When she went to pick up the new vehicle they told her that they had made a mistake regarding the new vehicle but that they could give her the same model she had owned for the past couple of years "Small Sedan"; She had no choice but to take the smaller car and a couple of months later she received the bill for the payments they told her not to worry about. She went back to inquire why she was being charged for those months and the simply said that if she brought a client to the dealer they would wave the charge. This is unacceptable and totally unprofessional, I don't know to what degree they took advantage of her because she doesn't speak english very well.

I purchased my vehicle almost 2 months ago and I'm still waiting to receive my permanent plates. Trying to get an honest answer seems to be impossible. Was told they were over nighting another set of temp tags and they still haven't came. Was told they would scan and email me a copy of the temp tags and imagine that still waiting on the email. You will regret buying a vehicle from this dealership.

This is the worst dealership I have ever seen. I've dealt with multiple dealerships buying cars and these guys are by far the worst. To begin with they told me they would hold a car for me because I was traveling down from Pennsylvania. I told them I would put a down payment on the vehicle. I put a deposit on a car $500 to make sure they didn't sell. I traveled down to NJ and when I got there i test drove the car and it had huge mechanical issues with no power! Nothing was mentioned to me until right before I test drove the vehicle. So, they said they would service the car and call me when it was fixed. I traveled down after a call that it was fixed and I drove down again and they told me they sold the car. Unbelievable! Then, In the mean time with out my consent and authorization they ran a credit check on me for a car I was going to pay cash for! Not only that but they didn't refund my $500 and making me feel a lawsuit.

I'm not a fan of this place nor will I ever go back. I was under the impression I would be able to end my current lease and get into something new, (at least that's what I was told) only to sit around for a week without a phone call.Every time I called, I would hear the same thing, "I'm still working on the deal, will call you right back", "I'll call you in 15 minutes". Never heard back unless I called. Just be honest and tell me the deal isn't working out. Don't have me wait for a week and never hear back from you. While at the dealership, your deal won't be given full attention as sales reps are constantly walking in with other inquiries or the phone rings or another clients paperwork shows up. How can you close a deal when you can't give your full attention to one person????The last day I walked in to get an update or speak in person, oh, he's not here. That's when I got fed up and advised to forget everything and thanks for nothing..... By far the worst attempt to buy a new car in my life

DON'T DO IT! A month later, still waiting on my plates!

In case you're from some other part of the country, you should know that around here, the dealer registers your car and gets your plates for you. That sounds really convenient until you meet the folks at McGuire, whose incompetence would be hilarious if it weren't so infuriating. I bought my car there over a month ago, and I'm still waiting on plates. It's a pretty long saga (well, more of a Monty Python skit, except not remotely funny), but here are some highlights:* They didn't actually start the process of obtaining our plates until I contacted them to say that my dealer plates were about to expire.* They said they would send an extension letter for the dealer plates while we waited on the real ones, but they never sent it.* They finally, FINALLY say they have the plates at their office but then claim they don't have my address (which of course I have given them multiple times, including in the same email thread where this claim was made). This has without exaggeration been the worst customer experience of my life, worse than any cellphone company, worse than any cable company.DON'T do business with them if you would actually like to drive your car legally after buying it.If you are reading this too late and have Googled up this review, you need to call them every half hour every day until you get your plates in your hands. It might also help to drive down there and warn other customers as they walk in. I promise you won't get any help until you resort to extreme measures. Good luck.

I deliver mail to this car dealership. Since the beginning of 2014, Tommy Johnson, the manager at McGuire Buick GMC has been talking to me about the cars and sport utility vehicles they sell and lease. He was always friendly, answered my questions, and was never pushy. So, when I was finally ready to get serious about getting a new car, I went to him. He gave me a really good lease deal on a new 2015 GMC Terrain with all-wheel-drive. The salesman, Eddie Bellocq, showed me how everything works on my new Terrain. I love these guys! They have always been friendly and for almost two years Tommy Johnson is always giving me bottles of water or a cup of coffee, if it is cold outside! :)

Joe Navarra was outstanding! Couldn't be more pleased. The dealership was extremely busy; yet he didn't act rushed and gave us plenty of assistance. Professional, courteous, thorough and knowledgable from start to finish and even followed up with us after we purchased our vehicle! Atmosphere was friendly and inviting. Definitely conducive to purchasing a new vehicle. Would recommend McGuire and already have! We also just purchased a used vehicle from McGuire. A gentleman named Danny was phenomenal as well! Very customer service oriented. Went over and above for us. Great experience overall! Even the finance guy! LOL! McGuire GMC has created a raving fan! We drove 50 miles to purchase our vehicles because of the price. We will stay because of the people!

I was looking to purchase a vehicle because I was having problems with my current vehicle but hadnt been able to find anything that I liked in my budget. I happened to be driving by this dealership and decided to stop and look. To my surprise I drove off the lot in a lovely Buick! My salesman Eddie was extremely friendly and helpful as well as the finance manager Tommy. They took the time to explain everything to me and answered my many questions thoroughly. I got what I wanted, needed and more. After my experience with other car dealers I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a good reliable car at a great price! You will not be disappointed trust me I am one extremely satisfied customer thanks to Eddie and Tommy!

I live in Staten Island and was shopping as far away as Long Island and Toms River, NJ for the best lease deal on a 2015 GMC Acadia SLE. Most dealers were vague and guarded in their lease quotes. But, then I called McGuire GMC in North Bergen and talked to Tommy Johnson, their Finance Director. He explained all the details and I got a 3-year lease for $366 with $2,500 at the start, including NYC taxes and all the "fees" for New York license plates and registration. I would refer everyone to Tommy Johnson and McGuire BUICK-GMC in North Bergen, New Jersey!

The service department is excellent, so I thought I would use dealer to buy/lease a car. I do not know the persons name, I nicknamed him Mr Nasty. He insisted that I don't have the insurance I have, became noticibly angry, used foul language and told me to get out of his office. He said he does not have to deal with customers (huh)I went back for the repair (they had to order a part) I again went to the sales floor. I don't learn!!I again saw Mr Nasty and he was talking to another salesperson. He became very aggressive, waving his arms and then said i got out of bed to give him a hard time WHAT? I wanted to get a car!!!

I had been using the service department and they were 5*. They did follow up to make sure everything was OK Great, time to buy/lease, WOW! The first man in a small office started to talk to me, and then said he doesn't have to talk to customers. I told him what I currently have w my Buick. He insisted that I do not have the insurance I mentioned, got aggitated and used foul language and told me to get out of his office. The next time I went for a repair (they had to rder a part) I went to the sales floor again. Mr nasty was talking to another salesperson, when he saw me he was loud, belligerent, and yelling that I woke up only to make his life miserable. He madee a comment to the other person, and they both laughed. Beyond odd, I was there for a repair, and possibly to buy/lease aother car. I have been driving Buick's for about 16 years, and thought I would continue to do so. Would you buy a car from this dealer?

There is nothing i hate more than buying a new car. I called all around for the best deal. On the last day of the month I called Tommy Johnson at Mcguire. He did not have the exact color and package I wanted but actually took the time to walk me through the deal and make sure I wasn't getting ripped off. If I had the time to wait I would have bought my car here. You can buy with confidence at Mcguire.

I had a terrible experience at this dealership. The car I purchased did not pass inspection, all four tires had rot, and the car was unsafe to drive. I asked the dealership to replace the tires and they refused, saying the price on the car was too good. The price was good if I would have received a legally working car, however, a car that can not pass inspection is worth nothing to me. A business with any integrity would have quickly replaced the tires, this business obviously has none. At $23,000 a customer should receive a car that can pass inspection and all customers should be treated with respect. If you want to be treated like a human being, take your business somewhere else.

My intent to visit this dealer was to get a quote on a car I was interested in. I ended up closing on a deal and ending my other lease early. Henry Andrade the sales rep told me all paper works to return the call will be handled by them and I could pick up the old plates the same day to surrender to DMV. After signing the contract and dealing with all the paper works I was told I can't pick up the plates until they return the car which was days away. This mean I have to keep the old car under my insurance. I'm from a different state so I can't possibly drive back there to pick up the old plates. This didn't bother me to much because Henry told me the they will mail the old plates. It's been two weeks and I still don't have my old or new plates. Thethe temporary plates are due to expire in 3days. They also told me I have to get my own car inspection for the new car. I've tried contacting Henry for the last 2 days and he still did not return my call. The person I spoke with initially told me Henry was with a customer and asked me to call again. I called again and now they told me he called out sick. I also asked for this person to help but he refuse and said he don't want to get into the middle of what Henry did. This person knew my name and what my old car was without me mentioning anything so they must have caller ID or a way to identify me(fishy..that Henry called out sick the second time I call). I'm really at a lost because I won't be able to drive the new car and I'm eating the cost of paying insurance on the old car because this dealer is not releasing the old plates to me. I hope the dealer reads this and right my problem. My suggestion is to stay away from this dealer because they tell you everything you want to hear. I'm not surprise by this tactic but to lie to close the deal is beyond a professional run business.

I recently bought a used 2011 car at this dealer. I had the best experience you can imagine. I had two terrible experiences before at Hudson Honda where the manager changed the price of the vehicle after my husband left. At McGuire Buick gmc, I was treated with respect and enjoyed the buying process . Yes, you read correctly, I had a pleasant experience buying a car. Rafael Peralta help me find the best car option and also the best financial deal. I got a good deal and I only used two hours of my day. When Rafael gave me the car, he explained everything about the features of the car. I got my plates and registration within 10 days as they promised. Their finance person was also very nice and gave me a better rate than Capital one. I think this may be one of the few honest dealerships that still exist. I highly recommend them. Johanna

I purchased a used 2005 Cadillac Deville on Friday, November 23. The vehicle broke down and died by 10:00 p.m. Saturday evening when my wife attempted to use it for work. The battery was dead and required replacement on Sunday, November 25. The cost for replacement was $175. The battery inserted and sold with the car was not the correct one, and was much too small for this vehicle according to the auto parts store. This explains why the car needed to be jumped several times before we test road it at the dealership. I was told it wouldnt start immediately because it had been sitting for an extended period of time. That was not the issue or case at all. The cars original battery had been removed and placed with a smaller inferior one. Despite repeated calls and e-mails to our salesman and the sales manager who handled all the paperwork to rectify the situation, it still hasnt been addressed. I was told it would be handled within 24 hours once the service manager was contacted and questioned. The dealership wont return any further calls or messages. The sales manager Vinny refused to come to the phone to further discuss the problem and had one of his salesmen tell me there was they nothing they could do and he was too busy. The second issue is false advertising on the same vehicle. It wasnt until we discovered smoke and burning runoff on the engine that we were told that the engine had been replaced, and the original was blown upon receiving the vehicle. This was not mentioned or indicated in the car dealership's ad. We decided to take the chance on the replacement engine when the sales manager agreed to give us a 1-year warranty on the replaced engine. He would not, however, disclose how many miles this replacement engine had. A simple $175 check for the replaced battery would have made me a happy customer. I completely understand there's going to be problems when buying a used vehicle as is, but to have the car die 24 hours later is completely unacceptable. Furthermore, to have the dealership not return calls, e-mails or even get on the phone to discuss the problem further is just horrible customer service. They gladly took my $7,800 and ran for the hills.

I have nothing but wonderful reviews about this dealership. From the minute I walked in to the moment I left I was given 110% and truly felt as if their sales team went above and beyond for me. If you plan on going ask for Frank - he is who you want to work with. He's genuinely willing to help and literally jumped through rings of fire to get me a deal when no one else gave me the time of day. I've struggled with not having an established line of credit yet he worked with me and didn't give up. Really refreshing since every other place I've gone to (Nissan and Honda in jersey city and north Bergen) would just turn me down as soon as they saw I didn't have credit. So trust me when I say this places excellent in terms of customer service. I will definately be referring friends family and colleagues to this dealership. Went to McGuire for a car I saw on the internet. The salesman Greg was a good guy. The problem was the "General Manager"!! When I purchased the car, I didn't haggle over the price and traded my car in for way below the book value! I had no problem there, I was fine with that! The problem was after I did all the paper work, they only handed me one set of keys for the car. When I asked them for a second set, I was told by the salesman Greg that they would have a second set next week when I pick up my registration. I had received a call a week later from Greg saying that my registration was ready to be picked up. I reminded him about the keys and he started to sound very nervous over the phone and told me that a second set of keys for the car would cost hundreds of dollars because they had chips in them that had to be programed! After hanging up, I called my local Chevy dealer and asked them how much a key would cost. They told me that it would be $25 and that I could easily program it myself!! When I got to McGuire to pick up my registration from Greg, again he looked real nervous. When I asked him for the second key that they promised me, he went to the office and came back and said that they couldn't give it to me because it would cost "hundreds" of dollars to make and program it. When I told him that wasn't true and the key was only $25, he said that the programming part is what made the key so expensive. And again I told him that wasn't true!!! Right then this gentleman comes bursting out of his office and starts yelling at me! This person was the general manager and starts telling me I don't know what I was taking about and again starts telling me that the key will cost hundreds of dollars to program. I told him if he read the owners manual, he would know that you could program it right from the inside of the car. And then he again tries to tell me the key is very expesive. So I had him get me a price from their own parts department. Their price, $21!! The worst part is after all this, he still would not give me the key! I ended up buying the key from tht local chevy dealer. Because of that General Manager I would never go back to that dealership or recomend anybody dealing with them!!! All over a $21 key that was promised me!

Eddie the sales consultant is extremely friendly and warm. He is not slick and just got into the business. He is a people person- not a car person. Nevertheless, I made a deal to trade in my car and lease a Buick Regal. I used Truecar.com and Edmund's forums for research and negotiations. This is the first American car I leased in eleven years. A deal was reached for 12k miles a year. I thought!!! They prepped the car and printed all the documents - ready for delivery. When I read the contract- they had posted only 10K miles a year- not 12k miles. This was not an oversight. It was a scam. Eddie knew that 12k miles was part of the negotiated price. I blame the guy who sat in the back room running the numbers. When confronted- the money guy said he could not do the deal for 12k miles. I suspect this guy has little respect for the sales staff and should be fired. Eddie did not know what was going on. Needless to say I walked out. In a way they did me a favor. I got calls from Romeo Buick in Kingston, NY while this was going on. They made a deal- and in fact came in at a lower monthly rate. It is not my nature to criticize any business in these tough times. However, McGuire needs to get their act together. The kicker- The Regal is designed and made in Germany. Great car.

Worst place EVER to get a car. We had good credit and a decent down payment and showed major interest in 2 cars and the right before we went into make a deposit. The salesperson would call and say the car was sold. Our salesperson was Danny. AWFUL. I have never had an experience with a car salesman that I had to hunt down. We went somewhere else after they sold a second car we were interested in. NEVER go here

went looking for a new car but i never experienced where the sale person doesnt remember the customer and they dont know what they are talking about there is no communication between sales and manager and they always seem to pass the blame to eachother cause no one whats going on. ypu would think they would want to see, but i think they just like to give the run around to customers leaving them with questions constantly, so if you are looking for a new car, please go somewhere else.
