The service department along with its machanics are dishonest. Vehicle was taken in for service inspection and owner was told that there was a gas leak and vehicle should not be driven because it could catch fire or explode. Also was told vehicle needed front and rear brakes quote for repairs was $2500. Vehicle was pulled from service department and taken to independent machanic where inspection on entire vehicle was performed no gas leak was detected anywhere and back brakes were only 40 percent worn. The water pump was leaking and needed to be replaced which they said nothing about in there inspection. Total cost of repairs needed was $346 DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE OR BUY A VEHICLE FROM THESE DISHONEST CROOKS . Contacted service manager to let him know what was found and he wanted vehicle brought back not hapenning.

The horrible thing about is that this is my local chevy dealership. They never made an attempt to get any sort of deal done. The manager comes out with numbers and it's way over what we wanted to pay. Once we told him that, he pretty much lost interest in trying to make some sort of deal. Not even some sort of attempt to look for a truck to trade with another dealer nothing. And the whole time while being there they never disgusted discounts and promo going on. We would ask the salesperson and he kept saying, "I can talk it over with my manager." Just a very bad experience and vibe there.

LEMONS LEMONS LEMONS!!!BAD WARRANTY BAD WARRANTY BAD WARRANTY!!!!!DO NOT BUY AYTHING FROM THIS DEALERSHIP!WE BOUGHT A TRUCK FROM HERE AND IT WAS IN THE SHOP 2 TIMES WITHIN THE 1ST 2 MONTHS WE BOUGHT IT!!! IT TOOK OVER 10 WEEKS TO REPAIR!!!!!!! WE ARE STILL WAITING TO GET OUR TRUCK BACK!!!! After 8 weeks without the truck then they FINALLY offer to get us a rental. The story- We were in the market for a SuperDuty for my Husband, we never buy used but the deal at Martin Chevrolet was too good to pass up so we went down there and purchased it. The fact that the F250 only had 65K miles on it made us feel confident in the sale, however being that it was a used truck and we made sure to purchase the $3000 warranty which they claimed covered EVERYTHING and they reiterated EVERYTHING. The first repair, warranty solutions made us come out of pocket $500 for hoses, and we had to pull their teeth to get them to cover repairs- we hadn't even had the truck a month at that time. 2nd repair, the oil cooler goes out and warranty solutions just flat out would not cover the $3000 repair on a truck again... the truck has less than 65k miles on it, this is unheard of and also why we purchased the most expensive warranty they had to offer.Frustrated with our worthless and expensive warranty we contact the person, Willy, who sold it to us- the one who insisted it covered everything! After trying to get ahold of him for nearly a week as our Truck sat at Ken Grody Ford waiting for us to come to a solution with the warranty or the dealership that sold us a now suspected LEMON- it sat there for a week waiting for the green light to continue on with a repair that would have taken them a day to complete. Willy finally calls back and his demeanor was very unsavory, my husband was so frustrated as you could imagine since we had spent the last week getting the run around, Willy tells my husband that "IF HE DOESNT STOP TALKING 'AT' HIM LIKE THAT, THAN HE ISNT GOING TO DO ANYTHING FOR HIM". Seriously, thats how these people are trained to speak to frustrated consumers purchasing big ticket items. So we then ask to speak to a General Manager... come to find out they don't exactly have one? But they directed us to this guy, Andy. Andy wanted to come to a solution and sounded like he wanted to help so he set up a deal where the owner, Joe Giacomin. The deal was Joe would pay for the repairs as long as we get the truck serviced at Martin Chevrolet (mind you we live in Riverside...) even though we already had 2 diesel mechanics at Ford ready to go, this seemed like a tolerable solution, so we went for it. I mean, how long could it take for them to fix 1 part? They requested the work order from Ford, and said that they would cover exactly what they had on the work order, no more no less. The day we Drop the truck off at service, no one was aware that this was a special 'custom' repair authorized and requested by the owner. Andy who orchestrated this whole deal didn't contact the service department or anything to ensure a smooth drop off. So, we are there trying to explain to this girl, Tiffany, That the truck is being brought in under special circumstances- being that we had a work order from a different dealership and the truck was a Ford you'd think that Andy would have informed someone. Nope... Tiffany was so confused!!! She had no idea what my Husband was talking about. So, we left her with everything she needed, the ford work order, the direct number to the diesel mechanic that was working on the truck, and told her to contact Andy because he was the one orchestrating this deal.A week goes by, didn't hear from anyone. We called to check the status and she says the used car mechanic is really backed up and they are trying to buy the part we need replaced from Ford. She says she will let us know when the truck gets started, week 2 goes by no word from her poor anyone. We track her down and she says they are barely got the part and the truck is in two pieces they are starting to work on it, but after I kept asking her questions she changed her tune and said NO ONE IS REALLY EAGER TO WORK ON A TRUCK THEY CANT GUARANTEE THEY ARE GONNA GET PAID FOR THIS and the used car mechanic is busy so it will get done when it gets done. She said she would let us know. its now like week 4 and we are so tired of pestering people to figure out whats going on with our truck, so we call the service manager, he had no idea what was going on and according to him they haven't even touched the truck! So tiffany was just lying. Then someone else started handling our truck, so now its like week 8 and we get a call saying the truck is done, and THEY CHANGED THE WRONG PART!!!! It is now week 10, they called to let us know that they finally fixed the truck but now they can't get the truck to 'run properly' so they are going to drop it off at the Ford Dealership. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICEPOOR SERVICE DEPARTMENTWOULD NOT RECOMMEND TO MY WORST ENEMY!!!

I just cant believe how skillful of a salesman Brian Lima is. See i went in looking for a 2015 chevy malibu and came out with exactly that. The exact color and trim but the point is that im one of those buyers who search around and homework prices but for some odd reason Lima knew exactly what to do. He asked me a couple of questions and all i remember was signing papers with no money down and payments as low as "low" just like he said. Thank you Lima and Martin Chevrolet for making my car buying experience fast easy and professional.

Was greeted by a young woman named Evelyn. She wasn't pushy and she wasn't irrited about how long I was taking. When I told her I was looking to get a truck she went the extra mile on making sure I was happy and satisfied before I left. Ended up purchasing a 2014 Silverado with the my link feature. She ended up calling me a couple days after to see how everything was never expected that from a car saleswoman I didn't think they did that. In the future I will make sure I go back to her when I feel ready to buy my second car. Car sales people should be more energetic and outgoing like she is. I would recommend her all the time.

I received a couple of letter in the mail stating they would give me 120% trade in value on my 2006 Duramax 2500, and if we did not do a deal i would get a free oil change, and although the used car manager said my truck was in excellant condition with very low miles, he would not even give me trade in value! I am looking for a new Tahoe over $70K and they would not even discuss the letters sent to my home, the used car manager said to me, oh well i dont know what to say but we will not honor your letter, no oil change, no trade in! I have purchased 3 trucks from them in the last 15 years and have had my service done there, i will now find a new dealer to work with, very suprised that i got ne suport from the new car managers either, they advertise as a family businessbut treet you like a stranger after 15 years!

This is the worst business in the South Bay!! Since buying our car in 2009, we have had issue after issue with it and been faced with nothing but rudeness and total incompetence when bringing in it for repairs!! To add insult to injury, they tout themselves as a friendly/family oriented business and my experience with them has been very dishonest and unfair! This morning was the last straw when given an invoice for a new transmission on a 2007 GMC Yukon with only 70,000 miles on it with "NO CHARGE" next to all parts and labor and a total of over $800 as the balance. When asked what the $800 covered, the less than helpful lady behind the counter rolled her eyes and took out a second invoice (the dealer's copy) with charges on it and no explanation on why there were 2 versions of our settlement. When we asked the service representative to give us a breakdown of charges, he merely wrote on a scrap of paper and his number wasn't even close to the figures we were shown on the secret "dealer" invoice. We asked him to explain and he said taxes.....hmmmm we calculated with tax at that point and it was still off!! We brought this to his attention and his response......"we use a GMC calculator". I had no idea GMC has their own mathematical equations! We spoke to GMC directly and they offered to cover 80% of the charge and when we asked this dealer about their portion, they merely responded with we did everything we could. We immediately called GMC again directly and they have NO RECORD of our repairs........save yourself time and money and stay away!! They not only lack customer service skills but are downright offensive when spoken to. The manager of operations insulted us on a personal level and the ladies behind the counter and their whispering/eye rolling/and loud gasps for air were just TACKY!!! STAY AWAY!!!

Buying a used car is always a scary process, but the folks at Martin Chevrolet are really nice (at least the ones I dealt with). Especially Liz, she seems like a genuinely nice person! But aren't most/all salespeople nice? It always seems like a gamble with used cars (unless you're a major expert, obviously), but what I like about Martin Chevrolet is that they treat you nice and don't condescend or try to push too hard. They've been in business for a really long time (I think 20+ years I don't remember the exact number) and that's reassuring.

After few weeks, I had the same issue, and brought to the dealer, and still the same response. Also, they gave me a loaner which is way too small for what I drive. I do not understand why they call it "loaner". It does not repalce any mean... After been inspected twice and was told there is nothing wrong with it, I am still having issue. There must be something wrong with the mechanich there. Also, I asked them to replace it with a new one, but they say unless they find anything wrong with it they cannot. Also, they mentioned that they do not represent GM or Chevy since they are just franchisee so they cannot do much. They should know "doctrin of agency"!!!!NEVER GO THERE FOR SERVICE!

The service dept is a scam for any person who wants service and is not covered by a waranty. This my first time coming here to get service on my 1994 geo metro 3 cylinder engine. They quoted me 500 dollars for a tune up consisting of replacing spark plug wires and cap. Mind you this car only has 3 spark plugs with easy access. They also wanted 800 dollars to replace timing belt, I took it else where to a private mechanic and he quoted me 350 for all of the above which is 950 dollars cheaper. I felt insulted by this dealer prices. I see many other reviews and they all appear to be fake five star ratings done during the same months and with duplicates done by guest logins. One reviewer I followed and he put out over 2,500 reviews all 5 starfor various companies. If you see a five star rating be aware for fakes.

Both of my driver side lock actuators had gone bad with only 28k miles on my Chevy Tahoe and my warranty had just expired. Robert Buhl took the time to explain the situation, review my suv's condition, and did the service free of charge. He even threw in an oil change. I was extremely satisfied with the customer service that I received. I typically do not go to dealership service centers due to some bad experiences in the past but I would highly recommend Martin Chevrolet's service shop if all their service technicians treat customers as Robert Buhl did.

NO customer service! Today I had my worst service experience of any dealership I have ever visited in the country and will now make sure to post my experience on every review site I can find! No one should have to deal with Martin Chevrolet. After buying two new mirrors because someone stole both of mine your service department tried to charge me $40 EACH to help me pop them in because they were not fitting. I have installed the mirror before and it is a 1 min job when it fits correctly with no tools required. Seen when was your service fee $80 for 5mins work? Are you now charging $960 an hour? Please correct me if I am wrong but that is insane! Then when I asked the service manager what the hourly rate was he flat out lied to me say we dont have an hourly rate. While never taking a break from eating his popcorn. Then to top off my experience, your parts counter guy was flat rude when he told me I was effecting his income because he worked on commission and the fact the mirrors he sold me 3 mins earlier didnt fit my Tahoe didnt matter. I should just pay the $80 to service because that is how you work and he wanted his commission. Then he had the balls to tell me because their were finger prints on the mirror the next person would want a discount. I could careless about his commission for walking from the parts desk to the back that is his job and if their were fingerprints earn your commission and wipe them off! I will never be back to Martin and I will recommend to everyone I know to stay away.

I been using Martin Chevrolet for service for years and have always had great service, felt the cost of fixing my car was reasonable. I had promised them many years ago that I would buy my next car from them and I did. I LOVE this dealer. We worked with Ron and Martin when it came to deciding on the car to buy. They were great very patient, great listeners. Really made us feel like they were here to help us one buy a great car and that they WANTED our business. I've been in situations when buying a big ticket item that the company thought they were doing me a favor by letting me buy the item. Not at Martin Chevrolet. Jeremy in their finance department was great. Very funny and knew his business. You can tell that everyone working at Martin Chevrolet is there not just for a paycheck but because they believe in the product, the company, their service (selling and servicing of their cars).

I have been a Martin Chevrolet customer for years. Recently they seem to be a lot more anxious about making money than in the quality of their service. I needed a part for my 2003 Z06 Corvette and was told initially it was going to cost $750 to repair. I had gone online prior to going to the dealer and knew I could get the HUD repaired for about $300. A little later, while the technician was buttoning up my car the Richard the customer service guy came back and let me know the part was only going to cost me about $250 dollars. So it seems okay, but I'm leery of the approach they seem to have taken to get the customer to spend as much as possible while you're at their shop.
