Rick Roman Review - As good as it gets!

Mangold had a used car I was interested in, but I'm from the southeast instead of IL. I explained to Rick I'd need him to carefully talk me through the car's details as he was looking at it/walking around it. He far exceeded my expectations with his patient and detailed descriptions. He even texted me photographs of the areas he was describing. It's always a little unnerving to contemplate buying a car over an extreme distance like this, but a salesperson like Rick makes all the difference. I didn't end up purchasing the car just because it wasn't up to the collector condition I was looking for. I can't say enough nice things about honest Rick was to work with, though. Had the car been what I was looking for, I would've had no hesitation working with Rick. Highly recommended.

Cost Savings

I went to the dealership for my 60,000 mile tune up. The technician Mitch Moore, found some things that did not need to be done even though other people including me said needed to be done saving me money. I have bought 2 cars from there and my wife and her family more than 3. We are always given great customer service.

Best car bying experience!!

Just traded in a vehicle at Mangold Ford. Drove 1 1/2 hour to look at the truck. Made the deal, let us take the truck home for the weekend, and came back Monday and bought it. Everyone in the dealership was amazing. Loved working with Dave Mitchell and the rest of the staff. Felt like you were at home there.

Great Small Town Dealership

We were looking to trade our 2012 Dodge Journey and trying to find a local dealership. This is the first Ford I have ever owned and it was a pleasure to deal with Mangold. Very Positive Vehicle Purchase Transaction

My wife and I set out looking to upgrade our current Taurus to a newer model with more features. We knew exactly what we wanted, color, options, even what option package number. We searched all around the Peoria metro area and was having difficulty finding what we wanted. We had purchased our last two vehicles from another dealer and we had contacted that dealer to purchase our third vehicle from them. That dealer dropped the ball and not only couldn't accommodate us, but quite frankly I don't feel their salesman even cared enough to try even after I told him we wanted to purchase from his dealership exclusively. Thus we ended up at Mangold Ford right before closing on a Saturday. We were greeted by J.R. Greeley and he was more than happy to help us regardless of the time. Long story short J.R. was very knowledgeable on the vehicle we purchased and was a joy to work. He didn't pressure us and courted us through the whole process in a way that was actually enjoyable. He has stayed in touch with us and is helping us iron out some details after our purchase was complete. We were quite nervous switching dealerships, but at this point I'm very glad we did. We have also had a few oil changes done at Mangold with our previous Taurus and we were happy with how things went with the service department as well.

Buick Rendevous

Gave a ride to a friend who has his vehicle's oil changed at Mangold. Drove through the lot, saw a vehicle that appealed to me and within a week bought the car. Very pleasant buying experience. No hassles. No problems.

Worth the drive!!

Rode into the dealership with my friend on his Harley. Nick Allen and others greeted us, did not pay one bit of attention to the leathers (come to find out he and others who work there have motorcycles so they are bikers too). Told Nick about the two cars I had seen online, but expressed I was looking for particular things in a car, such as the preference to go back to driving a 5-speed, good fuel economy and the particular payment range I was willing to max out at. He didn't flinch. Not only did I get a better car than the vehicles I had initially found online, but the down payment was lower, and so is the monthly payment. They contacted my insurance agent to inform him of my new purchase, and provided me not with temp tags but actual license plates. It was never assumed that I needed a co-signer, or suggested, as one might expect with being female .. they were upbeat, professional, and represented themselves extremely well both online and offline. Friendly and easy to deal with sales staff!

I dealt with Sam Moser on a used (2010) F150 and I must say it was one of the best car buying experiences I have had. Sam is not pushy nor difficult to deal with when negotiating and it made it easy to get the deal done. They gave me a fair trade on my old pickup and overall I was very pleased with the buying experience. When I need my next car I will definitely look at Mangold first.

Excellent customer service while buying a vehicle

Brad Ricketts sold me my used Ford Edge. I wanted a late model Edge, not a previous rental vehicle, and with most all of the options. Brad was incredibly helpful in the process - he even brought a vehicle to me at work during my lunch break to test drive. Brad did everything he could and we ended up with the perfect vehicle, low mileage with all the options I wanted. The price of the vehicle we were buying was fair, and the trade-in value was fair. Since purchasing, I have used Mangold solely for the service, even though they are about 35 minutes from my home. The service staff is incredibly friendly, eager to answer questions, and knowledgeable. The atmosphere while waiting for service is also comfortable, including free wi-fi. I have recommended Mangold to several friends who have used Brad to purchase vehicles as well and they have had the same top-notch experience. I highly recommend Mangold and Brad Ricketts.

Our place for buying vehicles

We have bought several vehicles from Mangold Ford over the last decade or so. We keep returning because of the good customer service we receive from our salesman, Rick Rohman, and the service department at the dealership. We have had nothing but great experiences every time we have bought a vehicle. I must say, Rick goes out of his way to make sure his customers are happy. Once I found a car I really liked, but leather was a standard feature on it. I get headaches from leather, so it is not an option I was wanting on my car. Even though it was a standard feature Rick was able to find one in Wisconsin that had cloth seats, and it was in the color I had wanted. Still can't believe he went to all that trouble to find me exactly what I wanted. I still have that car and love it to this day. Rick is not only customer-oriented, he is very friendly and personable. He definitely makes our buying experience more enjoyable. Another thing that stands out about Rick is that he does not apply any pressure during the buying process. That is very refreshing. The service department is very thorough whenever we take our vehicles in for oil changes. One time they caught a very serious situation with my car....the shocks were broken and could have punctured the tires. They also warned me the last time I had my car in that my battery was low. I was so glad to be able to replace it BEFORE it went completely out and I might have been out on a road trip or by myself on a very cold day. As you can see, I am very pleased with Mangold Ford!

Lack of Trained Staff

Called dealerhsip about getting an additional key made for my vehicle. Was quoted a price and decided to drive over on a saturday morning and price miracoulously 4 times more than what I was quoted. Only brought the cash I needed for quote i was given. I even asked prior to leaving home, to have him double check the price. Which he said he did and that was the correct price. It was a waste of time, gas and patience and not even an apology.

Honest, Open, No Pressure Buying Process

Kalvin McGee, Sam Moser and the entire staff at Mangold Ford are their to serve the customer and ensure a pleasant buying experience. No high pressure, no up-sell and they respect your time. I found the truck we were interested in on-line. Kalvin worked through the X-Pan invoice based pricing, rebate and finance options via e-mail before we set foot in the dealership. The final trade-in value was fair and was backed up by open disclosure of how they arrived at the value from several sources. The integrity of this dealership shows through in the actions of all employees. To top it off we got the truck we wanted at a lower transaction price than available at any of the other dealers in the Midwest.

The level of committment to their clients is second to none, as well as their knowledge of their products, both in the sales dept. and the service dept. I have been dealing with Nick Allen since 2007 when I bought my 2006 Ford Fusion. I just recently purchased a 2010 Mercury Milan from Nick because my 2006 Fusion was totaled in an accident. Nick actually found the car in their inventory, they had just gotten it in, and told me he thought this would be the car I wanted to buy to replace my Fusion. I trusted Nick's judgement, and basically agreed to buy the car without even seeing it, and he got it right, we loved the car!The service department is the best I have ever dealt with, they listen to the customer's concerns and honestly service your vehicle. They have even come all the way to my work, about a 30 minute drive to pick up and drop off my car for service!The entire staff at Mangold Ford is friendly, considerate, professional and trustworthy. That is how they keep me as a satisfied customer!
