Poor execution, poor communication, bad experience

After working on a deal for several days and being sent a buyer's order, I went and got a cashier's check and began my journey south to purchase the vehicle we again, spent three days working on. Part of the time frame was due to my salesman having a scheduled day off and making no effort to complete what we started. While I'm in route, I am told someone has made an appointment to view the truck I was in route to buy. I asked, how can I have a buyer's order and not be in the computer? My response was "we're a big dealership". Three sales managers and 17 salesman...and between three sales managers they don't communicate what they're doing? I manage a team and deliver to folks on 5 continents...so your argument is invalid. Then I was told if the 2pm appointment doesn't show, it's mine. As of 2:29 they still were not there...however at 2:37 I was told they had arrived...but again, by the rules I was told they had 30 minutes. The worst execution and even worse explanation and effort to provide me with service you could imagine. And...to wrap it all up, they told me they'd let me know if the truck did or did not sell...they didn't let me know. No worries though, I went to Scott Clark Toyota and bought a truck and their deal blew Love's deal out of the water. Car buying sucks as it is...this dealership is a perfect example of why car buying sucks.

February 26, 2016 on our way home from our Florida holiday, our Chevy diesel truck broke down when were about to change from the I-26 to the I-77 North. It was towed by Tillman towing to Love Chevrolet on Parkridge Drive. The diesel shop was closed until Monday morning so Mackey Monts told us we could park our camper beside the shop and plug it into a power outlet. We camped out in the parking lot until we could speak with Ken Amick, fleet service consultant, about repairs. While we waited out the weekend, we had the chance to look at some used trucks with Richard Ramick. He was a very helpful sales consultant who was willing to sell us a truck if we could not get ours running. He showed us our options and did not pressure us. He knew we were stranded but did not try to take advantage of the situation for the sake of selling a truck. Monday morning, we spoke with Ken as soon as the shop opened. The truck went in for diagnostics around 8:30 AM and by 1:30 PM it was repaired and we were back on the road. We just wanted to thank the wonderful staff as they made a very stressful more manageable!

I have to say that I was wondering if I had done the right thing with going to Love Chevrolet. There was huge confusion about my tags. Love Chevrolet went way over and above to make me a happy customer. I'm so glad I went to Love Chevrolet!!!! I would so recommend them to everyone to go there and purchase a vehicle! I had a noise coming from my 2010 Camaro. I scheduled an appointment with Love Chevrolet and they had the car fixed by the same afternoon. The service manager I dealt with was Larry. Top notch customer service. I'm very glad I took my car here to have it fixed.

I have to go back and change my review. Love chevy was great and got me in the car I wanted and was straight up forward with me. I jumped the gun so my first post by Jobe was wrong. The finance guy was out and I was just being very inpatient. They helped me and my mom out and went over everything step by step. I would come back to these people for my next car. EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING EXPERIENCE!!! I purchased a new Chevy Silverado from Warren, and was very happy with everything about the vehicle but the wheels. So to make the deal, they offered to provide me a set from a Z71 model and told me that I was the next person in line on the waiting list. Basically when a new truck was lifted, they would give me the old wheels and tires. Said it should be a few weeks at most... Well, I called in 2 weeks, one month, two months, three months, six months, and so on and so on. Even stopped in a handful of times as well. It was always the stock reply that I was next in line. Now I do not even get a return call. It is these sort of FALSE PROMISES and NEGATIVE CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE that should make it to the top of the org chart at Love Chevrolet. If you buy from them, I would get everything 100% documented and don't fall into the same trap of trust that I did.Within a few days of this post, I was directly contacted by the general manager of Love Chevrolet, and have been provided a set of wheels for the vehicle. He was very accommodating and quickly provided a resolution that worked for both parties.

I called Love Chevrolet to see if they could handle locating a particular model with my unique list of vehicle options. James Lombardo worked diligently to find that needle-in-a-haystack. He sent vehicle photographs and detailed answers to all of my questions in my prefered communication method. In less than 10 days from my first contact with James, he had found my vehicle, Love Chevrolet went the distance to retrieve it, all of the details were completed and I was driving off in it. I could not have asked for a smoother, more efficient, enjoyable, no hassle, low stress, matter-of-fact car buying experience. James kept me in the loop and the communication lines open even after the sale was complete. James and Cliff are relatable and treated me like anything but a sale. Love Chevrolet really outdid themselves, plus their facility and massage chairs rock! I highly recommend James and Cliff! I love Love.

We called ahead to check on the availability of a Chevy Equinox they had advertised before driving to Columbia from Charleston. We spoke to Shawn Painter, sales rep. When we arrived, we test drove the vehicle. It was not quite as well-equipped as we wanted so we did not purchase that particular car but we were pleased with the overall shopping experience. Shawn was professional and knowledgeable.

I had the easiest, most pleasant car buying experience of my life at Love Chevrolet. David, my contact from the beginning of the experience, was very accommodating. I live in Savannah, GA and had reservations about buying a used Tahoe site-unseen. I was pretty sure I wanted the car and was afraid someone would buy it before I could get to Columbia. David arranged to meet me halfway one afternoon after work to test drive it. I gave him a deposit that day and drove to Columbia the following Saturday. Everything was ready and I drove off the lot an hour later a very happy customer. My next car purchase will definitely start and end at Love Chevrolet.

I had a very pleasant used car buying experience at Love Chevrolet. The salesman "Gary A" was very friendly and knowledgeable about the vehicle. I received a fair amount on my trade in and the sales manager even reduced the price of the car I was purchasing. Very nice facilities and the staff were all true professionals at Love Chevrolet! Highly recommend!

I actually thought I was asking a salesman a question and really he was the general manager. Mr. Hoover knew a lot of the product and you don't see that in every dealership. He was so nice and didn't act like he didn't have time for me

I found my late father's car online that was purchased from my mother. It was at Love Automotive on Knox Abbott Drive in West Columbia SC. By the time I make some cosmetic and mechanical repairs to the car, I will have obove full retail in the car. Had this car not had sentimental value to my kids and me, I would have never considered paying as much for it as I did.

DO NOT GO TO THIS DEALERSHIP!!!! THEY WILL SELL A CAR YOU WANT RIGHT FROM UNDER YOUR NOSE TO SOMEBEODY ELSE AND NOT EVEN TELL YOU UNTIL IT IS GONE!!!!!!! I went and sat with the salesman, worked up a price and was told I would need to bring my car in that I wanted to trade becuase they needed to look at it before I could be given a drop dead final price. I agreed and had planned to take the car in the next evening since the distance from home to the dealership would not allow me to bring it in the same evening. The next mroning the salesman called and wnated to know if I was still interested inthe truck and I told him yes, that I would be by that evening and he said that would be fine. The next thing I know I receive a phone call telling me the truck is sold! I was never given the option of putting a down payment on it or anything! I had already called the bank and all the banker had to do was sign the check. Needless to say, I am NOT a happy customer and will NEVER buy anything from Love Chevrolet, Used or New, or from any dealership that they own in part.
