I have been going to Liberty Subaru for almost 20 years and have always had positive experiences. I bought my first Subaru Outback from them and have been leasing since then. The same sales and service employees have been there as long as I have been going. They are honest (not a word I usually use referring to employees at car dealers), knowledgeable, kind, incredibly helpful, and are never pushy. They have become like my second family. Jeff Miletta is outstanding! He has helped me with all of my Subaru purchases/leases. I have had only positive experiences with all the employees I have worked with at Liberty Subaru. I have recommended Subaru Outbacks to family and friends, and will continue to do so. Liberty Subaru is definitely worth the trip if you live anywhere on the east coast!

I had been car shopping for over a year and had narrowed down to two models -- one of them Subaru. What tipped me over to Liberty Subaru was Jeff Wangerin, a pleasure to have been his customer! He explained all of the different options and was extremely courteous and helpful. In fact, the sales people are not pushy and on top of you all the time like all of the other places I visited. Jeff gave me the space and time I needed. Answered all of my questions and concerns. Jeff went on vacation but left his counterpart Jeff Miletta to go through the new car when I went to pick it up. Jeff Miletta was also so informative and so thorough with everything!I had a great experience at Liberty Subaru from when I first started at the beginning of the year through the pick up of the car in November. I would highly recommend this dealership. Thank you Liberty Subaru!!

John and Liberty Subaru were an absolute pleasure to buy a car from. I really can't recommend them enough. I didn't meet any of the other dealers there, but I really feel like we lucked out with John, especially after an experience at a different dealership in Queens crashed and burned.John, instead, made us feel like family. I trusted him 100 percent after about five minutes into our first conversation, not something I say lightly. The whole process was super smooth and efficient and pleasant. If you are buying a Subaru, go to John and go to Liberty.

He took us on a test drive and was very honest and professional the whole time, despite sitting in construction-related traffic. Ed Vogel was very patient and knowledge about the Subaru line of cars. We were considering either a Pre-owned Outback or the Forester, test drove both. Since we are new to the Subaru family,we had a lot of questions. Ed answered them all with such wonderful knowledge about the difference of the two cars. It was a stress free experience due to his expertise. We went with 2014 Outback and love it! So,if you are in the market for a pre owned or new car , Ed is your man! I went to Liberty Subaru to hopefully purchase my first new car. I got there and walked around the lot and was then approached by Tom. Off the bat Tom was very polite, and professional. Told him what I was looking for which was the Impreza 5-Door. He showed me what they had, explained the model, explained the difference in base model, sport premium, and sport limited. Felt like I kept asking the same question but Tom had no problem in explaining them over. Test drove the car, went over everything answered all questions I had, my girlfriend had. I didn't feel rushed nor felt like I was being told what I wanted to hear to just purchase a new car and get out. Once I was finished with Tom from the finance dept. Tom showed and explained me every feature the car had, connected my Bluetooth phone to the car. I would definitely purchase another car from Tom and send people to Tom to purchase a car. He truly provided 5 Star service!

My Sales Consultant was Dan Rovelli. I had to finally say good bye to my 2000 Subaru Forester. Dan was very professional and accommodating. I called that morning requesting info. on Foresters currently on the lot. Not only did Dan call me back with a list of cars avail. he also took the info. on my current car to see what kind of trade in I could get. Once I purchased the car, Dan not only reviewed all the safety features my new car has but actually set up my radio stations for me and told me if I needed help with the Bluetooth he would do it for me. Dan also took the time to introduce me to the service staff and discussed future maintenance appointments. My brother purchased his Subaru Forester from LIberty last year. My twin sister's Subaru Legacy is elderly and will need to be replaced soon. I already told my sister when she is ready call Dan Rovelli. When I returned for my plates, they were put on immediately and I was thanked,again, for my business.I should be a Subaru commercial. I really really miss my old Subaru, Jude, but love my new one, Lizzy. It's a Subaru!!!!! What's not to love.I want to thank Dan for not letting on if he thought I was a nut case. I had decided after researching to purchase a Subaru. I didn't know which model would be the best fit for me as I am a short woman with some limitations. I had purchased a pre-owned car from Liberty Hyundai in Mahwah, and my daughter purchased a Subaru from Liberty in Emerson. My experience several years ago with the Liberty dealership and my daughter's satisfactory experience led me to Liberty Subaru. I called to make an appointment for some test drives. Mr. Alex Welch took my call. I could not have been entrusted to a more able salesperson. He explained the details in depth on the models I was interested in and took me on test drives of the two we narrowed my choices down to. After driving the Forester and the Outback, I selected an Outback Limited, with all the options. The car was not at this dealership, but Mr. Welch found one that would be delivered before the end of the month. I patiently waited and when Mr. Welch called me last week to let me know that my car was in, I was pleasantly surprised. I have heard some horror stories of people who purchased other makes of cars who were waiting weeks and months longer due to this delay and that delay. But not this dealership. Mr. Welch spent a good part of the afternoon with me on the two test drives and going over all the questions and details of the car I selected. Once we settled on the pricing and the trade in value of my current car, I was directed to Ms. Nicole Drakeford, Finance Manager, who explained all the warranty plans available. The day I picked up my car, once I had gotten all the books and other information from Mr. Welch, he directed me to the new Finance Manager, Mr. Robert Bontemps, as I was very interested in purchasing several of the extended warranties offered by Subaru. Mr. Bontemps was very accommodating in explaining all the details of each plan and even had the service department complete the inside and outside protection before I left the dealership so I didn't have to make another trip to the dealership for that purpose. The windows were etched and the inside and outside were coated with the protectant. I couldn't be happier with all that was done.Once all the service work was done, Mr. Welch then spent quite a lot more time explaining how the Eyesight works, the headlights sync with the Eyesight, the power seats get set, the remote car starter operates and any other important information I needed. When I purchased the car, Mr. Welch said I should plan on spending several hours when I picked it up - and he wasn't kidding! But this is what I am most pleased about. I have recommended Mr. Welch to a co-worker who is interested in leasing a Subaru and I told her that she wouldn't be sorry if she were to ask for him by name.This was the most enjoyable car buying experience I have ever had.

After failed back and forth negotiations at another Subaru dealer, I made my way to liberty Subaru where Dan Ludestri set me up with my 17 wrx sti. The process was surprisingly quick, and I highly recommend taking a trip to liberty Subaru in Emerson, nj. Initially Rob Bontemps worked with me at Liberty Subaru, and he didn't confront me with the hard sell. Instead, he asked me questions about my car choices and how they would benefit my lifestyle and driving. He seemed genuinely interested in me--and helping me find the right car, including encouraging me to test drive a Camry, the only other car that I researched online and showed an interest in. I never felt pressure to make a decision about a purchase at Liberty. In fact, it took me a month to make my final decision, and during this time, Rob was promoted and I was transferred into the very able hands of Dan Lidestri. My brief time at the Toyota dealership was a fiasco--my contact pawned me off on a salesman that immediately quoted price and tried to up sell me to a more expensive vehicle; he never asked any questions about what was of interest to me. The Toyota drove nicely--BUT so did the Legacy, which I ultimately purchased. I've had my vehicle for a month, and I am 100% satisfied. The folks at Liberty Subaru make the process of buying a car an extreme pleasure--I felt like a human, and not a price tag. Many thanks to Rob and Dan for making my journey an enjoyable one!

We were looking for a replacement vehicle for the car that's being bought back by the manufacturer. After some research, we decided that a Subaru Outback would be the right car for us. He was very informative and kept us informed about when our order would be expected, since we were ordering the newest model year. We are very happy with our car, and very pleased with the service we received at this dealership.

I was in the market for a vehicle and zeroed in on a Subaru Outback. Liberty was the 2nd Subaru dealer I visited and I had a far superior experience there from day 1. I think part of the difference was the other dealer was only one location/brand of a much larger group....but most of all the best part of my experience was dealing with Alex Welch, Alex gave me a sense of trust that isn't necessarily common in the "car sales" business (I've purchased or leased at least a dozen cars over the years..), a trust both in the fairness of the price negotiation and his personal concern for my satisfaction. In sum, if you're looking for a car, and more specifically a Subaru, I strongly recommend Liberty, and in particular you'd be well served to ask for ask to partner with you on your inquiry and purchase !

I called the Emerson Subaru dealership prior to arriving to setup a test drive for two vehicles I was looking to purchase. They had the Blue WRX CVT and Black Legacy 3.6R in stock, which were the two vehicles that were on my long list of cars to test drive. Dan Rovelli was very professional on the phone, knowledgeable during the test drive and had great follow up via phone and email, to my several questions, after the test drive. Even though I ended up purchasing another brand of vehicle that I was looking at I would highly recommend using Dan if you'll be buying from Emerson Subaru. He made sure I enjoyed the test drive by adjusting the several modes for the WRX and was very low pressure to work with. I hopefully will buy our next vehicle from him.

Came into Liberty Subaru in the early weeks of september inquiring about a BRZ. I was happily greeted by all of the salesman and ended up having John Clarke as my salesman. John was friendly and understanding of my finances and after matching and beating prices offered by other Subaru dealerships around the area, i decided to make a deal with John. Although he did not know all of the answers about the new vehicle he made sure to find out the correct answer for me from his other peers. The shipping of the vehicle did take some time but my salesman as well as the sales manager made sure to be on top of the order process and kept me posted on updates about the vehicle. In the end, i left this dealership a happy customer thanks to John Clarke and the rest of the staff. I highly reccomend this Sales team to all customers.

I went in to look a pre-owned WRX hatchback, already knew I wanted the car, it was just a matter of how good of a price I would get and if anyone would approach me at all to try and sell me something. I've been to a lot of dealerships where no one even flinches to help me out, but here, it wasn't the case. I was outside, checking out the car and Dan R. came right out within 5 minutes and introduced himself and we got to talking. He sat down with me and asked what price I had in mind and we worked it out from there. I was happy with the price I got for the car and my trade-in. Went in the next day to put a deposit down and that was that. The experience was hassle free and took very little time.Definitely recommend this dealership and Dan Rovelli!

When we came to look around, and had no intention of purchasing a car, Dan R. showed us all the models and features and helped us narrow down the car that we were looking for. He NEVER once pressured us to buy before we were ready and was very knowledgeable and patient (my mom asks lots and lots of questions). By the time we decided to get the Subaru, we contacted Dan R. and within the day he had found us a car that met our exact needs. . It had what we wanted without any unwanted add-ons or unnecessary features. (I had called around to other Subaru dealers and they inundated me with emails/calls and could not match Liberty's price/ inventory). One of the best things about the experience is that Dan R. accommodated our hectic work schedules and went out of his way to make sure that we felt comfortable with purchasing the car. I must have called him 20 times during the process and he always responded and was very kind. This was my first time purchasing a car and probably my mother's tenth time. Dan R. made it a pleasant and exciting experience for both of us and we couldn't have asked for more.

This was my second visit to this dealership, the first I can't even remember the gentleman name, as I felt he was not too interested in showing me any cars. Didn't even offer for me brochure or to test drive.So I was hesitate to go back, but I did as my husband was with me then. Dan Rovelli came right up to us as soon as we walked in, very professional, polite and knowledgeable. If Dan was unsure, he found out the information right away to convey to us. As my husband and I review the numbers and decided on which path--lease or purchase, Dan would email us and call to see if there was anything else he could provide. There was no pressure at all, however nothing Dan could control, the guys who make the deals weren't able to negotiate the numbers we were looking for. Which for I'm sorry that Dan Rovelli didn't get to sell me the Outback I was looking for.

From the day my wife and I walked into the dealership I knew this is where I woul buy my car. No pressure, helpful staff. We met Rob Bontemps, our salesman, who answered all our questions and was honest and truthful when he didn't know an answer, researched and found us the answer. He was pleasant and easy to work with. We were interested in a Subaru Outback Touring 6 cylinder. I got just about every option, it took a little over 6 weeks to come in but it was worth the wait. Rob went over all the options and explained their operation to both my wife and I. There was also another salesperson with him which Rob had him sit in while he explained all the options to us. I really love this car! It has gotten so many compliments, the color combo, Brilliant Brown and Java interior, are amazing. The car also has the wheel well arch moldings and mud guards, color matching body side moldings and door edge guards, wow! It's a beauty! It rides and handles beautifully. The car is wonderful, your salesman Rob, was great! The deal I got exceeded my expectations. All in all, a very pleasant, no pressure, no games buying experience. If I decide to buy another car, my wife is leaning toward a Forester, I will definitely be back and have Rob for my salesman. Also, a shout out to Nikki Drakeford, she was extremely pleasant, helpful and answered all our questions about the paperwork for our new car. I hope the Service goes as well as the sales. The biggest difference with this dealership is a giveaway- there are always customers. The other dealers I went to were quiet and empty. I came here late on a Thursday night and there were still many people. I started my inquiry online and received a quick response from Jake. After that, he and another sales person Dan assisted me. Cry test drive went smoothly and they were helpful throughout the process. Dan Cohen assisted in finalizing the paperwork. They are informative, without being pushy.

I went in a week before leasing my legacy. As a single woman, I want to feel comfortable that I'm being respected. I did a lot of research first on the computer to narrow down what I wanted. I asked Mike a few questions about the legacy. He gave me the information that I needed and a book on the car with his card. I had shopped for my Subaru from Dealers in the surrounding Northern Jersey for up to 25 Miles away. I Had several offering sheets from these Dealerships. I also had an offer sheet from a Dealer aligned with the Costco Car Purchasing Program which was supposed to yield the lowest price for a car. This was the best price out of all these Dealers until I went to Liberty Subaru. I had talked to John Clarke (Salesman) and I liked his low key relaxing way. When I got there after water and coffee we got to business. This dealership is unlike others I have visited, no high pressure, just solid pricing and friendly, useful help, particularly from my sales person, Tom Quinn and theSales Manager, Danny Cohen. I think Danny actually lives there, he is always, present! Tom is a low key guy with infinite patience. When I have a problem pairing a new phone with Blue Tooth, or try to figure out some of the zillions of features on the new cars, each time a bit different than the car before, Tom walks me through (sometimes several times), until I get it. I drive nearly 35,000 miles a year and so I am at Liberty Subaru in Emerson, NJ every 5,000 miles for service, just oil changes, tire rotation, brakes, an occasional light bulb and wiper blades. This is my third Forester, I replace them every 100,000 miles, and they just don't need much TLC. When I have any minor issues, the Service Manager, Bob Osterlof, or his staff are right on top of it, especially Augie. When I do come in for the oil changes, I am in and out quickly and they always wash the car too. That is about the only time that happens. Did I mention the the 10% Service Discount Coupon or the good coffee machine? I will admit to shopping jobs like doing the brakes and Liberty Subaru was right in line with Good Year and other places so I went with Bob and original Subaru parts.Good cars, good prices, good service and good people make for a very good dealership. That is why I go there and decided to share my views.

I shopped online and dealt with Jake Barron who was very knowledgeable and attentive. The transaction was nice and smooth, Kevin Mark did everything to get me into the car I wanted. Everything was great until I picked up my Motor Vehicle documentation. They charged me $118.45 when the actual cost of the transfer of registration was only $89.50. They added all these other fees stating that they charged me a trade-in fee, meaning they charged me to transfer the car I traded in to them to their name. Thesel fees are all xxxxxxxx, what was the Documentation Fee for? They should not be charging me for a car I don't own anymore. Just for the principle, I won't ever shop at this dealer again.

I was in the market for a specific color and package of the 2016 Subaru BRZ. When I saw the closest dealer carrying the car was about a 2 hour drive away, I thought it was a slight inconvenience but made the drive because I loved the car and hoped the dealer and myself would be able to come to a reasonable deal. July 30, 2016My husband and I had a wonderful experience buying a Certified Pre Owned car (a CPO) from Liberty Subaru We heard some good things about them so we called Daniel Cohen, the Sales Manager, who called back quickly and told us what was available. This guy is really amazing. I am not new on buying car and dealing with sales rep which is really stressful. But my liberty subaru experience was so different in a good way. Dan is really upfront and honest. talk on the phone 1 time and ask for the last price for my wrx then he email the selling price right away tax and doc fee etc... then visit the dealership right away then purchased my 2nd wrx. Every contact with my primary sales person, Dan Lidestri, and this dealer went smoothly. Liberty Subaru provided me with an extraordinary lease deal on a brand new 2016 Legacy Limited. Competitor dealers were tens of dollars more per month. But what really stood out to me was the customer service I received from Jake Barron and the rest of the sales team. My calls and questions were answered promptly. I was able to fill out all of the forms seamlessly over email. And on delivery day, Jake even picked me up at my office and drove me to the dealership to make life easier.This is the fourth Subaru I have had, and by far the best deal.

Ed understood exactly what my father was looking for and found him not one but two cars to choose from. Ed is very friendly and very knowledgeable, he even explained how leasing works. He gave my father the choice on leasing or buying which my father choose to buy instead of a lease. Tom was great also he worked out the numbers that gave my parents the payments they could afford on a retired income. I would recommend Liberty Subaru in fact my sister will be going to them to buy her next Subaru.

My first time buying a car couldn't have gone better. Rob was a great help, he was caring and willing to show any car I was even slightly interested in. Rob made me feel comfortable and confident in the dealership and with my purchase. Rob presents himself more as a friend rather than just a car salesman.
