November 4th was not a great day to work with these guys at Liberty. I won't mention names, but will try to state my experience as I think it should be communicated to other potential customers. Had an opportunity to see the 2017 Chevy Volt Premier at a dealership south of Boston the day before and was made some offers for me to purchase at that time. I typically don't purchase until I have slept on the decision. Friday morning had me thinking that I liked the vehicle. As Liberty was really close to me I decided to give them a chance for my business for a variety of reasons. Saw the car that I thought would best meet my needs on their web site which indicated it was in transit. Called up the dealership and asked to speak with the General Manager to explain myself. Was directed to whom I thought was the GM. He was very cordial and indicated that they were about to have a 20% off sale on that vehicle starting after noon and that I should probably try to come down to see it and reserve it when it arrived.I also explained that I had a very good trade value on my car from the south of Boston dealership and gave him the particulars on the trade. As I had also been looking at another car from another manufacturer I felt the value was accurate. I think the 20% off enticement was a result of my indicating what the other dealer was offering on the sale price of their car. He assured me that they could offer in the same ballpark the amount on my trade. So, with the thought of 20% off of the Volt plus a value that was reasonable, I agreed to visit with them. Upon arrival, I was greeted by the sales associate who would be guiding me and joining me for a test ride. I indicated that I had driven the car, but the salesman encouraged me to give it another try. The model they had was the Volt LT which is what I explained to the salesman, not a Premier. He said they both drove the same. I thought, just give it a try to see if anything was missed before. Really liked the car (again), but told hime the model I was looking for was in transit from the plant. He said, yes that was true. So, two folks indicating no car on the lot, but was in transit!!! So, I said I also wanted to see the new Malibu Hybrid and we went out to the lot to find one.....no looking on the inventory, just go out on the lot....now, this is a small dealership so that is probably why we went wondering around the lot looking. In that process, I came upon a Volt model which was the same one listed in transit on the web site. I was excited, but also concerned that somehow it was really there....probably an omen of things to come. I should mention that when I got to the dealership, the salesman took me in to also meet the alleged GM who it turns out was the business development person or internet manager....far cry from a GM. It has been my experience when purchasing cars, that usually the GM is the final word for pricing which is why I asked for the GM in the first place... shame on me for not doing a better job of qualifying! Ok, so my trade was looked at after returning from the test drive, the numbers were given to the salesman and much to my surprise the Volt pricing was probably about 4% off of list price on a car worth $40K plus which was a significant difference from my conversation prior to my visit. It gets even worse in that they also were offering me $5K less on my trade from what I had discussed with the alleged GM. Needless to say I was surprised, disappointed, and felt it was time to leave. The salesman asked me to give him the chance to discuss with the powers to be my response. At that point the, Internet manager came out and said something like "did I like the car"....cut to the chase folks.... goodbye Liberty. I have purchased in my lifetime a fair number of cars and yes there is a preconceived notion that they are not the most trustworthy folks. In my own dealings, I have seen a few bad apples, but mostly professional folks trying to sell a product and make a profit which is understandable. Two caveats for this dealership staff. Say what you mean, remember that your integrity and relationship building are not only going to produce this sale, but others from referrals and good feelings about your dealership. Sad to say, not a good day for them, nor me, but I can purchase elsewhere... they loose, not me.

Fairly cut and dry. My door lock was repaired, the cruise control was checked, and the A.C. was programmed to have the afterblow option activated. There was no action, I could, see where the A. C. pressures were checked, or my concern of it not being cold enough were addressed.

The sales rep Phil was outstanding and very upfront about everything. I came in just to see what the numbers would look like and what my options were. Arrived at Liberty, was met by a service rep, before moving my vehicle the lot attendant covered the seat with plastic and placed a paper mat on the floor, a nice touch. Repair was done in a timely manner and before returning my vehicle the exterior was washed and interior vacuumed, again a nice touch. A very good experience.

With no appointment I drove in after work one morning. My car did not start right away and had a engine light on. Within 10 min I was checked in and my car was being looked over. I tried Liberty due to a bad scheduling experience with the GMC dealer where I purchased my truck. Scheduling was a breeze on the site and the appointment was on time and included a free wash. It was an excellent start for the first maintenance on my truck and I am likely to stay with liberty.

It was perfectly executed from the time we walked in and worked out the deal, to the next day when we turned in our leased 2013 Cruze and picked up our leased 2016 Cruze.Our sales person (Darren Pensavalli) was great. He walked thru our wish list with us, taking the time to make us feel like we were important to him and Liberty. At delivery time, he made certain that we left there with the working knowledge of newer amenities that came with this model and made it clear that he was still there for us if any questions or issues came up after we left.The Finance person (Don Lindsey) made us feel comfortable during the whole lease discussion/signing. His own comfort level was very evident during his part of the process. His thorough preparation and personable demeaner made what could have been an arduous and sometimes overwhelming task, a pleasant experience. He also offered his availability to us after we left if any questions or concerns should arise.These experiences plus previous dealings with the service department are the reasons we come back to Liberty Chevrolet. It's a longer drive from where we live in West Roxbury, MA than other dealerships near our home, but none of them come close to the level of care, concern, overall service and attention to details that Liberty Chevrolet provides.We feel a part of the Liberty and Chevrolet family and will continue with that relationship for years to come.

The only real negative items are when my wife called to check on vehicle, the service person seemed like he had an attitude and said he would call when the vehicle was ready, and he never did. My wife called around 5:30 to check, and was informed that it was ready.

The issue I had with my truck is not the Libertys fault it is GM issue. In todays tecknology engine failure should not happen. From 1999-2009 this has been a issue in many GM engines. 75000 miles is not much today and this is an expence I didn't need. I'll be hard pressed to purcase another GM product.Liberty has always treated me well but when the heart of a vehicle fails under normal every day use, you look at quality control as a factor purchasing another vehical.

I needed emergency service on my vehicle,I came in without an appointment at 7:15 and was seen and out of there by 9:30. The transmission on my windshield wipers needed to be replaced and we had a NorEaster coming the next day.

Web page is inaccurate with service hours, Saturdays hours are stated as closed, when service department is open on Saturdays. Internet department does not forward scheduled service to the service department, my appointment was not on the schedule, although confirmed by phone.

I arrived an hour before the mechanics were scheduled to start and a half hour before people are usually allowed to bring their vehicles inside.I was helped immediately and able to relax until my vehicle was seen,once it was determined how long it would take to repair my car,I was helped in getting a rental car.

I dealt with salesman Carlton. He went significantly above and beyond my expectations to ensure I got a great deal and a fair price on my trade. He even offered to stay three hours past his scheduled shift to accomodate me . He returned all my calls promptly and answred all my questions. Before I walked into Liberty I was 95% sure I was buying a different truck at another dealership. Carltons service was the reason I chose Liberty.

My visit was a fllowup visit to repair a window motor previously installed but fai;led. The dealership ordered a guaranteed replacement and installed it for labor costs only.I chose to have my 2000 year Van AC Rebuilt because of refridgerent leakage. They Ordered the parts and changed all necessary parts and AC is working like new again.

Although the visit took a little longer than expected the overall pleasent nature of all the staff and the nice clean waiting area with big screen TV made the experience not nearly as bad as it could have been. I originally brought the car in for 2 problems - a door lock that either would not catch or would not unlock and a seat that would get stuck if moved all the way back. Neither problem occurred while at the dealership, so I took back the car with only a new door lock When the seat problem reoccurred, the dealership complied with my request for replacement of the seat motor.

I have zero complaints about the service I received from the technicians. They couldn't find out why my gas pedal stuck and my car accelerated to 95+. I was upset to hear that because they couldn't find a problem I still have to drive my car and IF it happens again bring it back in. NOT Happy driving my car anymore. More scared than anything. Not the technicians fault. I filed a case and have a case number. That doesn't make me feel any better

I was looking for a Chevy Sonic and was going to only pay MSRP. I was just calling dealerships to find someone who had the car in stock. Andy told me that they have it, and they would sell it to us for that price, IF WE CAME IN THAT DAY. So, myself and hubby left work early, drove 2 hours to get there, left the $100 deposit, everything they told us, to find out that they had "secured the vehicle" at a new hampshire dealership and it wouldn't be there until tomorrow. I called Friday to find out the VIN # for insurance. They didn't have a VIN, when I asked how this was possible, they admitted to not having a car secured. This went on for 2 days. Then they told us we had to sign by 5:00 on Tuesday for the vehicle that THEY DIDN'T HAVE!!!!!So we found the car for the right price at Premier Chevrolet in CT. (Who were wonderful). Called Liberty and asked them to refund my $100 to my card. They said they can't do that over the phone since they refunded $2,000 to another unsatisfied customer last week, but they PUT IT ON THE WRONG CARD! And they couldn't get their money back, so I'd have to fax them a copy of my card. After telling Dan that there's no way I'm FAXING my credit card to them, and there's no way I'm coming in, and that if they took the money out then they sure as heck should be able to put it back in, he reluctantly said they'd do it, except. THEY TOOK ANOTHER $100 OUT!!!!!If a dealership makes this many mistakes with money, that's scarey. I'd recommend shopping anywhere else. The people who worked there were also SUPER RUDE. We will be looking for a Suburban in the next 3 years and were asking questions about it, to which noone had answers and they were all very "put out" by being bothered.

I went to Liberty Chevrolet to look for a reliable used car. I dealt with Hemi who has been really patient and helpful. He took the time to go over all the vehicles i had interest in and test drove a few cars with me until I found the one i liked. He never put any pressure on the sale, on the contrary he wanted to make sure i pick the right vehicle for me, which i really appreciated.I would definitely recommend Hemi as a sales representative. Not only he is knowledgeable about the product but he is also very polite and well mannered.

The staff at Liberty really took the time to answer my questions and go over all of my options. This was the worst experience we've ever had! After negotiating a deal on a used truck, they called us (while out of state on vacation) to say they couldn't hold the truck for us anymore. In the end after they played games with us for 4 days, it turned out that the General Manager wanted more money for the truck! We still bought it because we really wanted the truck, but they didn't do the oil change that was due, fix the thumping sound in the front end (we requested this twice) or fill the fuel tank. After buying 11 vehicles from dealerships, I have never bought one without the dealership filling the fuel tank. How do you get a vehicle GM Certified without changing the oil? I will NEVER have anything to do with this dealership again! If you do, BE CAREFUL!

I brought my truck in for a harsh 1-2 shift, a junk CD player, a plate light issue, a clunking driveshaft, an incorrect fuel gauge calibration and a howling coming from the front differential. I was told that the harsh 1-2 shift was because my tires were bald (They are at %65 life left). The howling from the front differential was said to be "normal," and the clunking drive shaft was because I had installed an aftermarket U-joint (I never installed anything on my truck). The fuel gauge was not broken, according to them. The plate light was fixed, the CD player wasn't faulty (according to them again).I have a GMPP Major Guard warranty (bumper to bumper). I have a $100 deductible. They charged me a $100 diagnostic fee for the transmission, since it wasn't showing a code they said it was within spec. I had to fight with them about fixing the driveshaft (I bought the car as a certified used GM truck). They said the CD player was fine but it couldn't play "aftermarket" CDs. I picked the car up and basically paid $200 for a new plate light and u-joint. I tried playing a CD in the radio and of course, it didn't play. I went to the gas station and filled up the tank, and of course the fuel gauge was off still. The front end still howls, the transmission shifts like a B!tch into 2nd gear. They actually went above and beyond and replaced my steering column though, which was nice. Except now when I turn my left directional on my hazards will blink occasionally. Also, for some reason my trailer wiring harness does not work, I have a groan coming from the steering column and my air bag light is on now. I will never go back to this dealership again. I won't even take it back there to have them fix the problems they created for me.

I placed an order for a car well over a month ago. They assured me they had "Plenty" of allocation to place the order with GM. Yet after 6 weeks, GM still did not have the order. They either lied about having allocation, or for some reason they just weren't placing my order. But wait, you're thinking that it can take more than 6 weeks for an ordered car to come in? Yes, but my wait hadn't even started yet. I was still waiting to start waiting for the car. I was in line to get in line.So I found a nearly identical car in stock at a different dealership. I bought it. I told Liberty to cancel my order and refund my $2000 deposit. They refused. They said now they're going to be stuck with a car they don't want. A) You have to refund a deposit if you don't have a car. State law.B) There was no car, they didn't order the car yet, they weren't going to get stuck with anything.C) They wanted to keep my $2000. I get nothing, they DO nothing, they GIVE me nothing, they get my $2000. So of course my credit card company gave me the money back and is now dealing with the issue.It really makes you wonder, what did the people at this dealership hope to accomplish? Of course they were NEVER going to keep my deposit on an order they haven't even placed. If I took them to court, it would last all of 3 minutes and I'd win. They never had a real chance at keeping the money, all they've done is act like children, piss me off, and ensure that they get a bad review on yelp. Plus the credit card company may also charge them a fee for the chargebacks. I don't see the upside.

I purchased a used car from this dealer and they promised they would warrantee and repair anything my mechanic could find wrong for 30 days. Well I took it back because my mechanic checked it out and found it had 3 bad brake calibers which could be dangerous when I brought it back the dealer said no way and would not even consider fixing them. I also had minor little problems I brought it in for and every time I picked it up it turned out they broke something else like the rear compartment door and roof heading, etc. there was always something else wrong every time I brought it in for service. I eventually gave up and paid for the repairs myself.GM if you are looking for dealerships to close this one would be a good choice.
