Having been a customer for many years and owned several Lexus vehicles, all purchased from and serviced by Lexus of Dayton, I rate them exemplary in all respects. In terms of sales personnel style, service expertise, quality of customer interaction, reliability, friendliness, responsiveness, and design and management of customer facilities, they are the gold standard by which other dealerships should be rated. In summary, they are great, and I don't know of anything I would change!

I really enjoyed talking with Max and then working out our deal with him. He was very knowledgeable but also super friendly. He was very helpful in teaching me the new features on my car but he didn't make me go over every little detail. He taught me the basics and said to return and he would clear up any thing else I needed to know. On the road in little over an hour-yeah!

While Lexus of Dayton is the closest dealership to my home location, I was not very pleased by my experience. Things were great in the beginning. The dealership was very nice and let our family test drive an NX200t and an NX 300h. We were able to determine that the NX did not drive the way we wanted and that the RX 450h was more appealing to us. But, Lexus of Dayton is so small, they never had an RX hybrid available for test drive. After trying to determine pricing on an RX, all I was told was that they would shoot for 2% over invoice. I was never able to get an actual number. I also found out that their installer for Paint Protection Film did not meet my requirements for a quality install. So, after such a great test drive experience, I decided that I would get the car from another dealership with solid pricing. I went back to say that I had chosen another dealership and to thank them for all the help. But, I was responded back with a rude e-mail. I will not be bringing my new RX to service after such a rude response. All the other dealerships were so nice and welcomed me back if I was ever in the market for another Lexus, but Lexus of Dayton did not extend that welcome. Not how the Lexus experience should be!!!

I have purchased 2 cars from this dealership beginning in 2000 (a 2001 GS and a 2010 IS250). I used to believe the service center to be outstanding. However, they have grown increasingly expensive and more over the service has seriously declined. I have have recently discovered identical cracks in both forks of the exhaust "H" pipe. An independent garage noted that cars normally come equipped with flex pipes to reduce tensions on these exhaust pipes and avoid exactly the cracks I've experienced. The warranty that should cover this repair is 8 year 85000 miles. My car is 5 years and 85500 miles. Barely over. Further, it should be safe to assume that the problem did not occur only within the last 500 miles given the extent of the damage to both pipes. I was asked to bring the car in, they would take picture and escalate to corporate. I was told I would know a few days later. After that, I received one response to my request for a status a week later, and then they stopped returning calls (two more voice mails went unanswered). Finally, after a 3rd call, I was told that their offer was to split the repair of $2200 50/50. I'm sorry, but $1100 for a manufacture design defect barely 500 miles beyond the warranty is not what I would have expected from Lexus. Further, I would have hoped the dealership itself would have had more support for a repeat customer. While I do regret to say this, I will not be purchasing from Lexus or this dealership in the future and will share my experience with those who may be considering.

I am struggling to find all the superlatives to capture the essence of my complete satisfaction with the recent experience I had, all done via the internet, in purchasing my recent Lexus. And I did not even purchase it from Lexus of Dayton. I reached out to their Internet Sales Manager to let them know I was in the market and looking around to replace my current 1994 Lexus LS400 with a newer LS460 and perhaps they could help in my search. Matt Karns just went way beyond anything I had experienced to date with any other dealer I had been inquiring about with regard to my quest. He responded promptly. He succinctly answered my questions. He provided me even more information as he began to anticipate my next questions which then allowed me to become very knowledgeable, very quickly with what I needed to know to compare the various cars I was looking at.I own a business and I pride myself on thinking we give great customer service. It takes a lot of effort to do it but in the end is so rewarding because it does stand out amongst the herd who is still struggling to know how to deliver superior customer service. Matt did. Lexus of Dayton always has. I did not end up purchasing a car from Lexus of Dayton. But I found what I wanted in another state and Matt helped me to get it to Ohio, to Lexus of Dayton for inspection and extended warranty, all as though he had sold me the car himself. I am and will continue to be a Lexus owner because of everything I have experienced to such a high level of complete satisfaction through efforts like what Matt Karns did for me on this car search. I highly recommend Lexus of Dayton and Matt Karns.

I found the exact used Lexus RX 350 my wife wanted at Lexus of Dayton, Pre-Owned Center. However, living in Indianapolis, Indiana, I was rather dreading driving over two hours to Dayton to negotiate a car deal. After a couple of responsive interactions with Matt, the Internet Sales Manager, I decided to make the trip. Matt put the car I wanted on hold once I started on my trip to ensure that it was not sold out from under me. Matt met me as soon as I arrived at the dealership and set me up with Mike, who worked with me during the sales process (test drive, answering questions, negotiating pricing on the purchase and my trade-in). The sales process was friendly, efficient and fair. I worked with Paul, the Financial Services Manager, to set-up financing and again found the process to be friendly, efficient and fair. Finally, Amelia gave me a hands-on education on the features of the car. She was totally knowledgeable about every little detail feature, which was extensive considering that this particular car was very well equipped with options including a navigation system. Amelia even helped me with a couple of hints in using my iPhone. She was amazing! Overall, this was a very customer-friendly experience and I would not hesitate to work with this dealership again.

I had the most fantastic time buying my new (to me) Lexus CT200h hybrid vehicle from Lexus of Dayton. I submitted a request about the vehicle over the internet and got a prompt reply. It was followed up by a phone call to set an appointment to come in and see the car. When I arrived at the dealership, I was greeted by the gentleman who I had already spoken with and then immediately introduced to my salesman. This was a NO PRESSURE sale. I went in knowing what I wanted and Jamie worked with me and even just simply asked, "what will it take to get your business today?". After having a drink and catching up on my People Magazine gossip, my paperwork was completed, title changed over and car washed and ready for me to take it home. I would ONLY recommend Lexus of Dayton to others interested in purchasing a luxury vehicle.

First time owning a Lexus or a preowned vehicle. From the start I found the level of service to be excellent. The folks at Lexus was able to find a car that suited my needs. I found each visit to the dealer to be a pleasure without any high pressure tactics. They even let me take one car to my wife to see, even though I live in Cincinnati. When I actually decided on a car and picked it up, I received the most thorough orientation about the car from one of the salespeople. The car itself was emaculate , conditioned and ready to drive. I look forward to many years of driving this beauty.

Following is a very mixed review about my experience leasing a new vehicle from Lexus of Dayton. We have a home in a neighboring state so we decided to lease the auto in Dayton and license it in the other state.Our initial contact with Internet Sales was very professional and enjoyable. He set us up with Janet (Sales Consultant). The time with Janet was what we would expect from Lexus professional and knowledgeable. Our experience with Amelia (Product delivery) was equally professional.What happened between our meetings with Janet and Amelia, however, is where the dealer failed, and failed miserably. That is when we were assigned to meet with the finance person.During our meeting with Janet, she shared that she was not familiar with out-of-state taxes, and we negotiated an initial pre-tax lease. She said that Finance would work out the tax details. That was fine with us.Not once during the 30 minute conversation with Finance did she mention our monthly payment, including tax. We went over details of original cost, discounts, etc., all related to the total cost, but nothing was ever said about how this would translate to a monthly cost. She even became somewhat obsessed about a $16 tax. Not per month. But total. Three times she said she wasnt sure if $16 was correct. We were caught up in those details and did not ask the question of the monthly bottom line, but wouldnt you think that when the finance person is covering a monthly lease contract with the client, she would mention the monthly payment? Finance certainly didnt think so. (And interestingly, the very first piece of paper she asked us to sign was a form saying she had gone over everything. I recall thinking it was odd to sign this as we had not covered 90% of the information on the form, but that is my fault.)We were well aware that the initial lease number did NOT include tax, but the final monthly price was 50% higher than what we negotiated. While I understand that the majority of the increase is tax related, I should have been informed on the spot of the cost. That way I would not have had such a shock, and had such a bad taste in my mouth, that evening while looking over the paperwork -- I thought the Dealer had made an enormous mistake.The extra monthly amount was made up of two parts. First, there was an error on the part of the General Manager which accounts for about a third of the extra monthly lease payment. He admitted that instead of using the down payment I offered, he used $2,400 less. As there were other incentives, I did not catch this. Of course, if Finance had simply reviewed the monthly payment with us (even one time) it would have been caught and corrected on the spot. The GM offered to send me about 40% of his error.The second item were the taxes. Now I realize the dealer does not control the taxes. But they should be able to calculate them. And again, if the finance manager had shared the monthly amount, this all would have been worked out at the dealership. GM told me that they had contacted a dealer near my home to make sure the taxes were correct and that is what was used in our lease. .After driving the vehicle back home, I went to properly license it. At the DMV they informed me that Lexus of Dayton charged me 9.5% tax when in actuality, my state charges Use Tax of only 7.25%. This is an overpayment of taxes of nearly $900 in taxes. Again I had to call GM and complain and Lexus of Dayton then sent me a check for the full tax payment and then I simply paid the correct amount to my state. The DMV is often the butt of jokes but in this case they surely understood taxes better than the dealership. I question if Dayton really did consult a local dealer. If they did, how was the tax rate incorrect?As they say, There are few guarantees in life but I can guarantee you this. we will NEVER, EVER again set foot in the Lexus of Dayton showroom. My initial contact was with Matt Karns, Internet Sales Manager. He was very responsive and helpful online. Upon arrival, he referred me to Mike Holbrook, Sales Consultant. He was very patient and understanding. During our time at the pre-owned store, my companion and I were repeatedly offered water and/or soft drinks while we were waiting for document preparation and vehicle preparation. As I was preparing to get into the pre-owned Lexus i bought and it drive away, I noticed that even though my companion had the radio on, the power antenna was not up more than an inch or two.The dealership owner, John Higgins, was standing right there and acknowledged that the antenna drive ribbon was broken. He had me follow him to the new car sales/service location, where he instructed the staff to replace the broken part immediately. While my companion and I waited, we were again asked a few times if we needed anything or wanted beverages. When my companion joked that he wanted a rum and coke, we were given helpful driving directions to a good nearby eatery and tavern that would be on our way home (a four hour drive). At both locations, everybody with whom we had contact was professional and courteous. I saw none of behavior that seems commonplace at auto sales facilities -- men standing around, right outside the door, smoking cigarettes. The facilities at both Lexus of Dayton locations were top notch -- to the extent that I regret residing too far away to make L.O.D. my primary place for maintenance.

I saw none of behavior that seems commonplace at auto sales facilities -- men standing around, right outside the door, smoking cigarettes. The facilities at both Lexus of Dayton locations were top notch -- to the extent that I regret residing too far away to make L.O.D. my primary place for maintenance.

I've purchased 9 Lexus vehicles from Lexus of Dayton since 1990. I couldn't be more pleased as this is almost a magical place. Extraordinary in all areas of sales, routine and special service, attention to detail, knowing their customers and the most accommodating auto dealer I have everencountered. That's why I just keep coming back, there is just no doing better than the best. I realize this may sound like a fairytale but its quite accurate. In 1994 we moved 55 miles away, there is another Lexus dealer within 5 miles and another within about 25 miles, we simply drive right past them and come to Dayton, it's like coming home.

My wife and I had been looking on the internet for months for a 2009 Nissan Murano with particular options. We had located and contacted several dealerships about the Muranos they had listed. Some were within our home state of Pennsylvania, others were out of state. We were disappointed when the sales people acted as if they did not want to be bothered with a long distance sales transaction. We continued to search and were fortunate to find Lexus of Dayton Pre-Owned Center where they had a 2009 Murano SL exactly like we wanted. Upon calling and speaking with Mike Holbrook, we knew this was a first-class dealership. Mike treated us as if we lived up the street from the dealership and not 400 miles away. After explaining to Mike how fussy we are, he assured us that we would not be disappointed because all of their used vehicles go through a rigorous inspection. The price that Mike gave us was better than the other Muranos listed on the internet which had higher mileage and less options. He answered all of our questions, and with a feeling of confidence and trust we bought the Murano over the phone. We made the seven hour drive to pick it up, and we were amazed at the condition of this vehicle!! It was everything that Mike said it was and more. Our title work was handled by Paul Forrest who was very helpful in explaining to us the procedure for our out-of-state vehicle purchase. The entire dealership was very impressive, and everyone we met there was very friendly and accommodating. This is a dealership all others should be judged by. My experience purchasing my new Lexus RX 350 was excellent. Each and every employee I encountered was helpful, courteous and informative. During the past couple years I have actually stopped by Lexus of Dayton on several occasions 'just to look' and each time I was promptly greeted by the receptionist and Janet Struve always made time in her schedule to answer my many questions even though I was not ready to purchase at that time. I recently decided the time had arrived to purchase my new Lexus and made an appointment with Janet. She had a new Lexus RX 350, in the color and with the packages I had indicated would be of interest to me, ready and waiting for me to test drive. She took plenty of time to explain all the features available and after the test drive I was sure the Lexus RX350 was the correct choice for me. After looking at the color I had originally expressed an interest in I decided the color wasn't for me. Janet spent time showing me different color combinations and once I made the color selection she gave me a price which I accepted. There was no high pressure sales presentation, the staff and management of Lexus of Dayton was entirely professional and this lead to a pleasant car buying experience. The delivery of the car was exceptional, the final paperwork was handled professionally and quickly, Amelia took plenty of time to demonstrate all the features of the vehicle and Janet called me a few days later to see how I was getting along with the vehicle. My wife and I went to Lexus of Dayton to look at a new Lexus Hybrid I had seen on television. Within minutes, Janet Struve had us on the road for a test drive. It did not take long to determine that my 6foot 4 inch height would not be a good fit for this vehicle. Our test drive route happened to take us by their pre owned vehicle showroom, where we saw several vehicles we wanted to look at. We returned the hybrid to Janet and made arrangements to return the next day to look at a Lexus ES 350 we saw the day before. When we arrived at the new car showroom the next morning, Janet had the car sitting out front ready for us to drive. We were shocked that she had taken the time to have the car brought over from their pre owned lot and had it waiting for us to drive. That is service I have never found at any automotive dealership. After the test drive Janet took time and answered every question we had, and soon afterwards we purchased our Lexus. The price was very good when compared to other dealerships I researched on line. When we took delivery of our vehicle, Janet introduced us to Amelia Johnson, the Lexus product specialist at the dealership. Amelia was very pleasant to work with and very well versed in the operation of every system on my Lexus. I have returned to the dealership with questions for Amelia and she always has the answers. Doug and Lexus of Dayton have been out "go to place" for new cars for 8 years. We are on our 4th Lexus. They have been great. They give a fair deal and the are in consonance with the pricing recommended by all of the on-line tools (Edmund, KBB, AutoCom and so on). In this particular deal, they gave a great trade in on our Lexus...when I calculated the OH sales tax savings by a trade-in, I couldn't sell the car myself and come out better...and I didn't have any hassle with having to sell the car. I have purchased a car and am currently in the process of purchasing my second car from this dealership and from Jan Struve as the sales person. First, Jan's sales technique is the easiest and most non-traditional sales experience that I have had. There is absolutely no pressure and her goal is to get the right car for the person who is looking at their cars. She has provided me the opportunity to test drive any car that I was interested in - even when not in the market to purchase. When going through the actual purchase of the car, Jan and the staff at the dealership were helpful and provided all of the information and support needed to make the purchases easy. When talking with Jan, you get the immediate impression that you are getting a fair deal and that there are none of the typical games that dealerships play with their customers. I've owned and looked at many different car models (Chevrolet, VW, Toyota, etc.) - Lexus is the easiest and most direct to deal with and you do not feel that you are being taken advantage of when trading with them. I would highly recommend Lexus of Dayton and Jan in particular.For the service and maintenance, this dealership is exceptional. They are always upfront with the cost and always provide you with an estimate and full explanation of the service needed for the car. My experience at this dealership was great. I had been to a couple dealerships over the past couple weekends and most of the dealers I worked with seemed very pushy and more adamant about their sale then informing me about the cars I was looking at. My wife an I bought a car here in July 2002. After we agreed on a price and bought the car they asked us to return the next Monday and the would detail the car for us. Not only did they do a great job detailing the car, they also changed the spark plugs, tires, brakes, oil, antifreeze, power steering fluid, brake fluid, air filter, and a dash panel that had a scuff mark from normal use. We returned in June 2003 to purchase another car. Service has been great.
