Dealership did not tell to me that I needed to go into the DMV in TN for the registration myself when I puchased my 2014 Jeep. The licensing clerk mailed the title/registration docs to the wrong town (Lebanon instead of Mt. Juliet, TN) and I had to drive 20 miles out of my way. When I arrived at the DMV, I had to wait for an extra half hour because the dealership sent the title docs with insufficient signatures. The licensing clerk was rude when she left me a voicemail. I called to speak with a manager at 9am on 10/28, I was told that someone would return my call within 20 minutes max and I never heard from anyone. This dealership is disorganized and does NOT care about the customer after the sale! I would NOT recommend them to anyone! This is not a reflection on the salesperson Von. He did a decent job, but everyone else was horrendous.

Okay I just happened to one day decide to look for a car. Went to Landers Chevrolet and ended up with a nice Charger. The customer service was great. The employees were very polite and really went out their way to help me. Even after purchase they have delivered and assisted me if I had questions. I would definitely recommend.

I purchased my vehicle from this dealership in 2005 back when it was Landmark Chevrolet. Since then I have used this dealership for nearly all repairs. Once it was taken over by McLarty,the customer service issued by the service department dramatically changed, a decline in my opinion. The decline I've experienced is not necessarily in quality but a result of policy. Several times, I've had to return for a call back on an earlier repair only to be charged again to readdress an issue that I've already paid for. What's that? I think everyone should be paid for the work they do. But after being paid full price for work done improperly, the work should be redone without charge, right? Not at McLarty. Anyone else experience this at McLarty? Some repairs can only be done by the dealer, as manufactures are increasingly designing automobiles to require vehicle specific tools for various components, tools the general shops may not have. This is how manufactures keep dealer service shops in business, and why McLarty feels they can get away with treating customers the way they do. Be warned! Check the reviews of other dealerships. You might do better driving out of town.

Got a letter in the mail,stating they. could lower our payment on the car we have or a trade. Called and made an appointment, drove over there and the salesman met us,I showed him the letter an he read it. He started asking about trading for a new car,I told him Have no money for a down payment but we went through the process of filling out paper work for a new car,I keep telling the sakes man I have no money for a down payment. I test drove a car,it was nice. We get back to the office and the head sales person meets us,goes over the paperwork with us. The payments are higher, a lower interest rate but giving $2,500.00 for my car,then asked $4000.00 down, I told, I told him on the beginning, I have no money to pay down. Then I asked about refinancing the car I have,like it stated in the letter, she avoided the question,I asked again,she told me to talk to my bank.The letter was just a gimmick to get you in a new car. I drove 45 minutes,wasted gas,and wasted 3 hours, we leave with same car payment as came with.Before I went over there,I looked up the value of my car. It is worth $3,100.00 to 4,200.00. They offer $2,500.00 Several days before we came over here,we went to Bill Smith Buick in Cullman. The sales man was very nice, we gave him the information asked for,he left and came back a few minutes later and told us that he wasn't going to string us along,the payments would be way higher on any car. Only give us $4000.00 for the car,asked us to back in 6 months to a year and we could trade. I thought they we try g to cheat us on the value of the car. I looked it up in Kelly Blue Book,Bill Smith was offering close to the maximum Value of the car,Bill Smith are the honest one. If I decide to try again to trade in the future it will be with Bill Smith Buick in Cullman. Defiantly not here.

I really had a great experience with this dealership. Our salesperson (Christina Hudson) was awesome. She knew what we were looking for and showed us all options we liked. Even the finance manager( Adarius Watts) was awesome! I would recommend this dealership to others and I will return there again!

We purchased a used 2012 Chevrolet Equinox a year ago. Because we were buying a used car we also purchased an extended warranty just to be safe. I take the vehicle for its normal service maintenance on time and have never really had an issue with it until now. I brought it in to my certified mechanic on a Friday for its normal oil change where I was informed that they found what appeared to be water or coolant mixed in the oil. I contacted my warranty company right there and was instructed to take it to Lander's Mclarty Chevrolet for diagnostics. I arrived at the Chevy dealership and explained what was going on. I was informed that I would have to have someone pick me up because a loaner vehicle could not be supplied until the diagnostics were completed and it was proven that there was an issue covered by my warranty and they would not be able to do the diagnostics until Monday. The dealership called me on Tuesday to tell me that I could pick up my rental and they were done with diagnostics but they were waiting for the warranty company to send out their own tech to look at the car and it would be a few days. Not even 2 hours after I picked up the rental they called again to tell me that the warranty companies tech came and looked at the car. I was then told that the next step would be to do a tear down of the motor but if they did not find anything wrong with the car I would be responsible for paying $4000 for the tear down. I explained that I did not have that much money to pay and I would have to discuss it with my husband. I was then told to pick up my car. I went back to the dealership to pick up the car and noticed the check engine light was still on. I asked the dealership if they had changed the oil and was told that they did not do anything with the oil which I found strange since water in the oil was the whole reason I took it in. I took the car back to my certified mechanic as soon as I left the dealership to get the oil changed. My mechanic informed me that the dipstick was not registering any oil at all and it smelled like gas. We gave the car time to cool off and checked again and still no oil on the dipstick. The mechanic had to add almost 3 quarts of oil to my car. When I got home I checked the oil again and this time the level was exactly where it was when I left my mechanic. I contacted the dealership and informed them of what had happened but was told that my car was only a half a quart low when I picked it up and that I had not given the car the proper time to cool off before checking it and the gas smell was normal. I was also informed that my model has a well-known issue with water or coolant getting into the oil because of the fuel pump and pistons that were used are not the correct fit for my motor and even though the manufacturer knows about it they are not taking responsibility for it. For the next couple of days I kept a very close check on the oil and would check it when it was hot and when it had cooled down and still there was no change in the level so I find it hard to believe the car was only half a quart low when I left the dealership yet there was absolutely nothing on the dipstick. I find it ridiculous that the Chevy dealer made a mistake and did not own up to it or attempt to remedy it and could possibly have damaged my engine because of it. I also find it ridiculous that Chevy/GM know there is a major issue like this with these motors but are doing nothing to fix it and leaving it to their customer's to deal with. This was by far the worst treatment I have ever had with a dealership/manufacturer and their service department.

WARNING ! If you are out of town & have trouble with your vehicle, Landers Chevrolet will try to take advantage of you!!!! Do not let them look at your vehicle !!! THEY WILL OVER CHARGE YOU, TRUST ME !!!! My Chevrolet Dealership in Cleveland Tn quoted me a price on fixing my vehicle & it was 300 dollars less than what this dealership was going to charge !!! BEWARE !!!!

I didn't have to wait long before being welcomed and my saleswoman was quick to answer all questions and complete my transaction. The process took less than half the time of my previous experiences. We were headed back from vacay and our AC went out, we stopped at Landers to get it repaired. They squeezed us in to the schedule, and the facilities were nice. While we waited Wiley tried to talk us into a new vehicle and gave us some gym vouchers.

Everyone was very helpful and a very friendly staff. They all worked very hard to get us in this vehicle and we are thankful. I am an active duty Army officer from Huntsville National Arsenal. This dealer is disreputable and attempted to lie to me after incorrectly servicing my vehicle and introducing problems that didn't exist prior. have a brand new 2015 Chevy Silverado 2500 4x4. After brining my vehicle in for its second oil change..and specifically telling the service department that I had marked the tires with different colored paint pens, the tire were not appropriately rotated and the vehicle pulled HEAVILY to the right. I drove back immediately after discovering the problem to see that my tires were not appropriately rotated either. I asked the service foreman in the presence of three other employees what was the correct way to rotate tires on my vehicle (a 4x4 vehicle). He stated that the X pattern was the approved way. After I told him that I had proof that this had not been done on my vehicle he then spent five minutes trying to convince me that it was not actually the X pattern tire rotation that I needed and it was somehow normal ("I see this in brand new vehicles that we sell here off the lot" in reference to my new vehicle with new tires pulling heavily to the right---only after I had the service done. The vehicle had perfect alignment and no issues prior to this second routine and free tire rotation and oil change. No oil change sticker was provided either, making me question if the oil was actually changed or not.This is clearly a disreputable dealer who attempted to lie and cheat a brand new customer...even after having been specifically warned that I had marked the tires to prevent this. I would not recommend ever coming to this dealer.

Had a vehicle repaired here and the work was shotty to say the least. Had a printed quote and when I came in for the car they had charged me DOUBLE what they had said. Ended up doing the rest of my catalytic converter work myself because of the discrepancy. With the exhaust backed up engine had trouble breathing and They left my pcv valve off which caused the vacuum seal to be Broken and run even worse until I found the issue. On their "safety check" they put a bunch of emergency needs that would cause serious engine damage... I literally had replaced less the items listed less than 500 miles before! When I told service manager that he told me and i quote. "The owners make us put that on every car that they dont have a vehicle history on..... Absolutely taking advantage of the average uneducated car owner. Stay away!

Brian really knew his product and we are very happy with our selection. Ben in finance knew his numbers and got us exactly where we wanted to be. Mandy in customer service really helped us to understand the features of our new truck and helped us set up the remote link app which is awesome!!!! There is nothing negative I could say about this place!!! I wish all dealerships made it this easy to purchase a new vehicle.

Joe Wasiak sold me a 2009 Honda Accord that I paid cash for. I test drove it and liked the car. And I liked Joe too. I wanted the car for a certain amount and when we got pretty close to that amount, Joe brought in "Big Rick" Oates to seal the deal. Apparently, you need a 6'6", three-hundred-pound guy there to make sure the cars get sold. With "Big Rick" applying the positive sales pressure, I agreed to buy the car for $336.00 more than I originally offered. After we had signed papers and were on the way over to the Finance department, I noticed a clicking sound in the steering column whenever I turned the wheel. I mentioned it and ol' Joe Wasiak almost swallowed his bottom lip. The lack of eye contact at that point was amazing. He had the service department look at it and they said they couldn't make it stop clicking. Within two weeks, I had to have the whole steering column replaced for $900.00 at Jerry Damson. The Finance Manager, Chris Pierce was interesting too. He tried to sell me the maintenance contract for several thousand dollars but he wouldn't make eye contact either. He just stared at his tiny computer screen and clacked away on his keyboard hoping I would wilt under the pressure. He lowered the price twice while I waited on him to actually ask me if I wanted the maintenance contract or not. When he finally did directly ask me whether I wanted it, I refused and Chris proceeded to be passive aggressive about how I would regret that decision. In his defense, I could have saved the $900.00 I spent on the steering column replacement if I had signed up for his $2,000.00 maintenance contract.All in all, it wasn't a terrible experience but rather typical of buying a used car from a dealership, I'm sure. I'm guessing salesmen are under at least as much pressure from their bosses as they put the customer under. My recommendation is if you want a used car, either buy a Certified Pre-Owned and get all the benefits of the dealership or just buy from a private party. Save yourself the hassle of dealing with disingenuous folks and save yourself money in the process.


We were not prepared for this total surprise!

He was kind enough to show us his entire inventory, and the inventory State wide, trying to match our requiements. He said one could be ordered to our specifications and custom built. He walked us trrough the process, always asking what we wanted, not what he could sell us. He showed us up grades, where we would actually save in the process. When we finished my wife said that was the best sales experience we have ever encountered. Told Jeff to to ahead and place the order! Jeff kept us up to date on the progress of our order. Finally the big day arrived with the delivery of our vehicle. I was introduced to Jeff Layne.Jeff walked me through the signatures process and found a additional discount based on my insurance carrier. He then turned me over to Ben Hampton in Finance.Ben took me through more signatures and the extended warranty. He too found a additional discounted savings on the warranty. I also received three months of extended services at no additional cost! Ben then turned me over to Genie Padilla.Genie is the Customer Service Representative. If the aforementioned personnel are the nuts and bolts of the process, than Genie, must be the brains! Genie walked me through the OnStar requirements for the vehicle. She pointed out and in some cases demonstrated the multiple instruments while seated in the "cockpit" of the truck. What a learning experience Genie provided, ensuring I was comfortable and understood the working components. My highest praise for Genie, and my comment was asking if she could ride with us for at least six months. Genie also walked me through the Service Department and Parts. I was also introduced to Ms. Stephanie Hodges, Customer Services, a very pleasant Lady.Needless to say, this was the most pleasant sales experience ever when looking for a vehicle. BEWARE When Buying USED Vehicles

Sales staff are friendly and accommodating, however BEWARE when purchasing used vehicles. I recently purchased a (luxury brand) used vehicle and was assured many times during the sales process that it had undergone "an extensive 100+ point inspection and was in great mechanical condition." Unfortunately this was not the case, within THREE WEEKS of owning the vehicle it completely died in the middle of the interstate and I have spent over $1,500 to replace the alternator, water pump and timing belt - all things which should have been caught in the inspection. After contacting the dealership they did not offer to help with the repairs or take any responsibility. Always disappointing when you make a large purchase and feel misled.

I went in to see about working a deal with them on a Sonic RS. Tried to get price to be affordable for Son who just got out of Marines and needed new car to attend college. They said that the sonic had no markup and sticker price was about $22,000 and may could wiggle $1000 off and a $2000 rebate. we left because it was not in the budget. When I got home I searched and found many dealers offering car at $16,000 Assuming rebate was taken off already in ad price. SO SAME STICKER ON CAR OF AROUND $22,000 WOULD BE $6000 OFF BUT THESE GUYS ONLY WILLING TO GIVE MY SON $3000. Man doing dealing said he understood our concern and would make us his best deal because he also served in military. What a sad day we live in. I guess if you want to be lied to and taken advantage of, this would be a great place to start. After entering the doors of the dealership and meeting Mr.Marcus Brazelton with a gentle handshake and soothing smile, I explained to him exactly what type of vehicle I wanted and the price I wanted to pay. He told me that he would do his best for me to be able to leave the dealership with the vehicle which I had inspected and selected as the one which I wanted. I chose to try the credit union on my job to finance the vehicle at a lower interest rate which did not go as I expected. I spoke with Mr. Marcus Brazelton and was told to come into his office and he will seek financing for me on the vehicle. After test driving the vehicle and returning back to the dealership, I was financed, signed the paperwork and drove away with my new vehicle. Truly, Mr. Marcus Brazelton Is A Man of His Word and a fantastic person to conduct business with.

I did a lot of homework on the vehicle I wanted, so there wasn't much 'selling' needed to be done--It was mostly selecting the color and price negotiation. Zeke was great to work with- friendly, lighthearted, not pushy. I had to return to the dealership a few days later to pick up my garage door opener and drop off the extra keys for my trade. My wife started talking to Zeke about a vehicle for herself. We ended up purchasing a new vehicle for her! That experience was just as pleasant. Jeff, the manager, gave a us a great deal on her vehicle as well. From sales, to finance, to customer service, the experience was very pleasant. I have bought many cars and I can say these experiences with Landers Mclarty ranks at the top. The facility is very nice, clean, had a great selection, the staff was great. I thought the process took a little longer than expected (once we reached a deal to the time we left--each time), but nothing can be 100%. They seemed to be very customer focused; much unlike the car dealers of the past. Ever after the sale, there were several follow ups by Zeke and customer service to see how everything was. I also had interaction with Joyce in the business after the sale. She was very easy to communicate with and kept me informed with the trade payoff process. I was very pleased when my grandson & I went in to purchase the car everyone was so helpful. My grandson had totaled my car and I was waiting to settle with the insurance company because I did not have the money to put down on a new car. Kyle Simons was very helpful and had me talk to Jeff Layne. Jeff was also very helpful . He was able to get me into a new car with no down payment with a low interest rate. We took the car back in about a week for them to look at a place on the driver side that they may have to buff out but decided that we could live with it because it was very hard to see. This is my second purchase at Landers through Marcus Brazelton. This experience, just as my first was exceptional. I purchased a 2011 Suburban last year and came in on my birthday this year and bought myself a Corvette! I honestly would not have considered purchasing this vehicle from anyone but Marcus. I had test drove the Ford Fusion Titanium Hybrid that day, which was priced a little more than the Volt, and had considered the Ford C-Max, but the Volt had very good consumer reports ratings so I went to the Chevy dealership I was most familiar with, having driven by it all the time on the way to work. I drove into the customer parking lot walked towards one of the corvette stingrays that was parked outside the front, and Zeke walked out the front door and greeted me with a smile. He asked me if I was interested in that car and I said I was interested in a Chevy Volt. So we walked toward the east side of the lot and found what I recall as being the only Volt in the lot, but in a color I happened to like. I drove the car on a short test drive around the dealer ship (exiting the dealership west on University Drive). I wanted the car. So we sat down and started the application process. Admittedly there were issues initially processing my application because of what appeared to be network issues (or entering my social security number incorrectly), but I was approved for financing. Ben completed the finance application and bill of sale expeditiously, then I spoke with Genie about On-Star and the locking nuts for my wheels. Overall it was a good experience. I do wish I had more time to have the controls explained to me, information about Level 3 DC Fast Chargers explained (didn't know about these at the time), and the tires inflated to 35 psi (I was getting warning messages with them at 31 psi), but I was getting tired myself, so I drove the car home, after receiving cookies from Genie and completing the brief car orientation experience in-car. I was extremely happy with the price (the $5000 trade-in), everyone was friendly, and there was nothing wrong with the new car I drove out of the parking lot.

We went in to look at Landers McLarty used cars today. This will be our first time buying a car as a married couple. My husband found a car he liked so he asked the price to see if it was even an option. Apparently we didn't need to know the price until we drove the car and filled out paperwork. They ran our credit score and we sat in an office for almost 3 hours listening to a man tell us how much he wanted to take care of us because we were newlyweds and how he is a top salesman and how Carmax down the road wouldn't do business like them, but then proceeds to tell us how he was always taught to never kick another car dealership cause it was bad for business. They wanted us to buy a car TODAY, end of story. They wanted us to drive home on our off day and get our car we would possibly want to trade in so they could look at it. We went to another dealership and were there for a total of around 15 minutes. We looked at a few cars that were better prices and spoke with a salesperson that was upfront and straightforward. That was that, If we decided we were interested, we could come back and not be sat in an office for 3 hours listening to a bunch of tall tales.

I was working part time as a substitute teacher and I had enough debt that my bank and another that I consulted would not take a chance of financing an auto for me. However, someone told me about Aretha, a top sales person and Landers McLarty Chevrolet. When a Chevrolet manager drove me to Landers McLarty, I was concerned because I did not see a nearby bus stop, and I was wondering how I was going to get home. When Aretha told me to "Claim it," I was secretly annoyed because people often tell me to claim things that I think are impossible. However, I did not know Aretha or her managers. They spent an entire day looking at cars and contact credit agencies until they found a car that pleased me and the bank, a beautify 2009 Chevrolet Town & Country van. It is the prettiest car I have ever owned. My sons have their own cars, but we share this car. When so many people died during Katrina, I longed for a good car. I came in to the service department this morning with my Yukon making a nasty noise. I explained that I was 8 hrs from home and was wondering if someone could give me a hand by letting me know if my issue would leave me dead on the side of the road with my wife and two small children. The tech explained that there is a $95 fee to look at the vehicle, but that's only if they didn't fix it...I tried to make the point that if its something huge that I can't afford I'd be out $95 no matter what. I told him I knew they didn't work for free, but after being in a service mgr for years myself I just didn't understand why they couldn't help someone out in need. I wasn't asking for free, just to know before I blew $100 while 8hrs from home. By the way, I was the only car in the service department. My local dealership would never do this...so I went to the local Goodyear store and they happily diagnosed my vehicle and got the cash for my simple repair. We asked if this was a done deal, they said yes.A week later, we are called and told that our loan was not approved & that we had to bring the car but he would put us into a 2006 Maxda 3 as long as we got there first thing in the morning. Before they even opened, went to look at the car and saw the sunroof was open and there was water in the console area. The salesman said that it wasn't a problem. The salesman requested that we clean out the Aveo as they had someone there to test drive it. He came back saying the Mazda had been sold the previous day. We asked where was our vehicle that we traded in the week before, got told that its no longer on the lot. He then explained the only vehicle left on the entire lot was a two door 2007 PT Cruiser Convertible. We weren't happy at all but since we were told that our vehicle was no longer on the lot, the Aveo was apparantly "too much car for us", the Mazda had been sold already, we were stuck with either this car or nothing at all. So we took the PT home, the very next day we had issues with this vehicle. Coming home, it started spuddering, a noise went off, the check engine light came on, and going over 40 miles an hour the steering wheel would shake. We drove it back to the dealership and spoke to the used car manager. He gave us a loaner car, explaining that the service department was closed that day but he would put it into the shop the very next morning to get a diagnosis. Two days later, we get called back to come pick up the PT. The manager tells us that they only needed to replace the sensor light and nothing else was wrong with the car. So we decide to take it to another mechanic to get their diagnosis. Come to find out that the shaking wasn'[t fixed and that there was something wrong with the engine and transmission. The next day, we go back to the dealership and explain what our mechanic discovered. The manager actually sat there and argued with us that our mechanic was wrong and that their service department was right. We also explained our treatment from day one regarding the whole car purchasing experience with this company and we weren't happy being forced into a car that we didn't want in the first place but were given no choice. He proceeds to argue with us again, saying "no one forced you into that car, you could have walked away at any time". Our reply was that if we had walked then we would have been out the down pymt and our vehicle as well since it was no longer there.My boyfriend discovered that our vehicle was still in fact on the property. Upon learning this, we demanded our vehicle back and our down payment since they lied to us from the beginning. The manager refused to give us our vehicle back stating that they didn't even have the title on the premises any longer and he refused to give us our money back stating that if we gave him a day or two he would try to find us another vehicle to appease us.By this time, we were completely fed up and wanted nothing more to do with them. After informing the manager that we would be calling our attorney and him telling us that we were more than welcome to do so, we proceeded to make a few more phone calls to various people including the news station. Twenty minutes after the manager spoke to us, he comes to us with the title to our vehicle and has someone bring our car to us. He then states that they need two signatures on the refund check and that there was only one person there but the other was going to be there in a couple of hours. By 3 that afternoon, I got my refund check for the entire amount of my down payment.For those of you who are thinking of doing business with this company, please reconsider that decision. I would hate to hear of someone else getting this done to them.

If you're gonna but a car, go to Landers McClarty Dodge Chrysler Jeep. I've never been so ripped off before. Must be a Chevy thing. They wanted to sell my an 08 Trailblazer for the price of it brand new. It had more problems than a 87 Corsica. I was in there for 7 hours before we finally got all the paperwork together. We signed nothing that night but a piece of paper saying we we're bringing the vehicle home and coming back with it the next day. It took 7 hours to do that?? Landers McClarty Dodge called me the very next day and told me to come in and talk to them, so I did. I got put in a 2012 Jeep Patriot for $6,000 cheaper with 16 miles on the car. They also gave me FREE leather seats because it came with cloth. My interest rate on my Jeep is 5%, where as Chevy wouldn't even tell me mine for the trailblazer. Seriously, you'll spend more than you want/have to here.

This weekend I drove my moms Chevy Equinox that we bought ad Landers McLarty. I loved the car when we first test drove it and love it still. It is a great ride for the money. Being a big SUV guy I figured it would stink but it really sold me. Mom loves it and Im thinking it might be a great car for us too. Its got enough get up and go that when the car was full and I was pulling out into traffic on a hill I felt pretty good about getting into the flow of traffic.When we bought the Equinox I spent the whole time with mom and the sales rep that helped us out. Nice job. We knew what we needed to know about the car and other cars that we wanted to drive. No hassles and no hard core pushy tactics. Very pleased with the experience.
