Worst service experience from a dealership, especially it being my first time at this service center.I brought my car in for it's first A1 service, only having 7,000 miles on it. The service consultant asked me if I've been in a collision recently. I was basically in shock when he asked this. I asked what is wrong with my car. And he said that my CV Boot was cracked and that it would cost over $900 for a new CV Boot and axle shaft. He simply advised my husband & me to not drive off the lot that day because we would only be causing more damage to the car. We ended up taking it to a trusted repair place and it wasn't cracked. The clamp was loose. It makes me wonder how the technician didn't check the clamp and just assumed it was cracked. After my follow up call from Acura regarding my service experience, I received a call from Kathy (customer care manager). She wants me to bring my car back in so that another technician can look at the car.

Very friendly customer service for my vehicle inquiry. They were prompt and responsive. Providing necessary information. Appreciated the pro-active follow-up when that specific vehicle sold (to another customer) to notify me that it had been sold. They were interested in knowing how else they could help me. While this did not result in a sale, it did prevent a difficult situation as the dealership was not near my home so I'd have endured a long drive to arrive and find the vehicle no longer in inventory. It's too bad that this is not the norm in the industry, but was greatly appreciated.

I have leased 4 cars from Kearny Mesa Acura all through my Saleman Scott Barker. Scott is an excellent saleman who keeps in touch with me through out the years and helps me get through the process flawlessly and hassle free. I was in and out in such a short time that was amazing. They are very organized.From Scott to their General Manager and contracts, their attitude is relaxed and there is no pressure creating a atmosphere that makes car buying to a different level of service.

After our horrible experience at another Acura dealer, we stopped by Kearny Mesa Acura hoping to purchase a brand new car. Because of the six hours we wasted at the other dealership we wanted to make sure our time was not wasted again at Kearny Mesa. So, we came in having what we wanted in mind and explained it to Scott (our salesman) with our price. With his help, we were able to finish the paperwork and drive out of the lot in less than two hours! This was definitely the best car buying experience Ive ever had. Thanks Scott!

I have had three different Acura's, my first one, an RDX, was owned and I always got service their from Juan. When it was time for me to trade in that car and get something new Juan referred me to Scott in Sales. Scott helped me trade in my RDX and lease my next two cars (a first for me). Both (TSX and TLX) which I have been very happy with. Scott is always there for me when I have questions and makes the trade in process very seamless and affordable. Satisfied customer!

Scott at Kearny Mesa Acura is THE best if you need help getting a car. I have purchased many cars from him and have had friends and family go to him for their car purchases as well. He makes the process painless and he is not pushy in any way. Ever. I have never felt like I was getting manipulated to buy anything. I love the matter of fact straight forward approach. Sometimes a salesperson will get you to make a large purchase and then they are done with you. With Scott, anytime anything comes up or you need help with something regarding the car, he takes time out to answer questions, call you back or find a way to help you with whatever you need. Sure, he is a smart businessman, but more than that, I really think he genuinely cares to make clients feel happy, secure and taken care of in these big purchases.Also- I take my car here for servicing and the advisors are friendly and take care of you as well. Overall, super happy here at Kearny Mesa Acura with customer service all around.

Worst service experience I've ever encountered from an Acura Dealer Service Dept. Went in for A1 basic service, plus some factory corrections that were needed. Service Tech guy helping me was possibly having a bad day, but his attitude was awful and basically said I was "free to take my business down the road". No effort was made, in my opinion, to keep me as s customer, nor address my concerns about the car with a positive disposition. Do as I did and seek another dealership for servicing of your car

After a bad experience next door at Mini of San Diego, my wife and I were walking back to my truck and decided to see what Acura was all about. Well, thanks to Scott Barker, we left in a bad xxx fully loaded 2016 TLX, 4DR, V6, AWD, with a few extras added and purchased all out the door for $46K! Scott is honest, knowledgeable, patient and up front about everything! He answered questions before we even asked them! Funny thing is we never even considered Acura! Thank you Scott and Albert for staying late to wrap up the deal!Sorry MINI but business is business! MAY MORE CAR AND FEATURES FOR THE MONEY HANDS DOWN!

After negotiating on price, color and going there to buy the car, the Internet manager Kelsey pulls a fast one and doesn't keep her word! Beware! Really disappointed after going through and doubling checking everything. She is young and apparently has a lot to learn in terms of ethics!

Im very happy with my new RDX I went in to test drive a car and with no pressure walked out with the car that I wanted. Scott is a no pressure sales person and makes it a very pleasurable experience purchasing a car. Scott told me he comes with the car and he does I have been in for free car washes and he also helped me out with a phone pairing problems.

Scott went waaaay out of his way to help me get the vehicle I wanted. I went thru quite a few before I finally found what I wanted and he was very patient with me. Anyone who can deal with that deserves an "A" for effort. After I found what I wanted everything went smoothly and effortlessly. The only gripe I have was that when the car was delivered all the windows had a very heavy film, probably from using a dirty towel that appears to have had some form of wax on it. I had to go over the windows with windex about three times before they cleared up. In all fairness---Not Scott's fault.

He doesn't push you to buy anything ever, unlike the way you would expect any car dealer or salesman to be. As a long-time spoiled (well-cared for) customer at Chevy Chase Acura, my first visit to Kearny Mesa Acura upon moving to San Diego was for service. I was upfront about my positive service experiences back east and was delighted to receive the same care from Tom in service.This care continued my 2nd year in San Diego when I met Scott in sales and we discussed turning in my leased car early (always did this in DC as I am a low mileage driver). Again, I shared my positive leasing experiences with Chevy Chase Acura with Scott, who worked with me through many, many hurdles, some low, some high, some ridiculously high, over a period of time to put me into a 2015 TLX leased car. Together with Ralph Cerulli I feel like a valued customer and part of the Kearny Mesa Acura family. If Acura is your car, Kearny Mesa is your place for service and sales.

Unlike the other reviews, I actually had a great car purchasing experience from Kearny Mesa Acura. We got exactly what we asked for. Everything went smoothly and we left with the car in less than 2 hours. One year later and I still receive great customer service, especially from Scott Barker. I have nothing good to say about Kearny Mesa Acura. Acura of Escondido is equally bad. Do yourself a favor and avoid Penske dealerships altogether. They say they're in the process of correcting my blotched DMV paperwork - Wrong address and misspelled name entered. This problem has been going on for quite a long period with no resolution. They're bad about following up on their commitments and keeping their promises. Don't expect them to return any phone calls they promise. Dan Collins, Kerney Mesa general manager, simply handed my DMV problem off to one of his equally incompetent managers, and never followed up on it. I called Mr. Collins back and he became argumentative. I will never spend another dime with these losers or recommend them to anyone.

My wife and I spent two weeks looking for her new car and finally found it! We purchased a 2013 Honda Accord from Kearny Mesa Acura, and we are very glad that we did! Our salesman, Anthony, patiently worked with me all week to prepare for our purchase. My wife and I drove all the way down from Lemoore, CA to get this car. Anthony and the team waited up for us 15 minutes past closing and took the time to get all of the details worked out and made sure that we were happy with our car. The detail shop did a great job getting the car looking showroom ready and the staff were excellent. I highly recommend this dealership to anyone. From start to finish it was a pleasant experience.

While waiting for my oil change, I was told my timing belts haven't been changed in over 7 years and if i didn't get them changed asap, my car would see other huge problems. After going home and checking my records, my receipts showed my timing belts were changed only 5 years ago on October 13, 2008. I called back to tell Juan and he quickly answered with an inane, incoherent answer his records only went back to October 6, 2008, showing he was either answering without thinking or he's not with it.Also, the service report stated the air in my front and rear tires was performed. I was livid. My call back to Juan was Acura techs should should know green caps on the tires show nitrogen air and now my tires had both compressed and nitrogen air and I had to go and undo this mistake. When I told him, he told me even though it states they did it on the service report, it probably wasn't done, it's just standard to write that on the service report. I asked well what else is written as standard and is not actually done? In picking up my car, it was sandwiched in between two cars and obvious one car had to be moved before I could pull out. The service tech was rude and then further remarks, your emergency brake was on. I hope they would have had it on...since it was parked. But when I went to pick up my car, I never even tried to move it as it was impossible given how close the 3 cars were parked.

I was shopping for cars and saw my awesome 2012 Acura TSX on Cars.com. I went to the dealership and was comparing the TSX and TL models when I was approached by my sales consultant, William Perks. I explained what I was looking for and we went out for a test drive in the TSX. I was sold! William took the time to explain the navigational system, phone capabilities, XM radio, etc. He also took the time to go through the owner's manual(s) and highlight warranty information and items that would be of interest to me and referred me to the "Quickstart" manual which we went through thoroughly. Although I am still learning, he kept the door open for any future questions I may have. It was one of the most pleasurable experiences I have ever had at a dealership purchasing an automobile. There was a "no pressure" atmosphere and everyone from the Manager, Finance Manager and Sales Consultant were very professional and courteous. I highly recommend my sales consultant, William ("Bill") Perks and Kerny Mesa Acura!
