No Pressure Sales

We don't buy very many cars and haven't bought one from a dealer in 10 years. Due to the fact of high pressure sales tactics and always trying to sell you options or services that you don't want. But this dealer and salesman, Derek Streeter changed our perception. We never felt pressured and no one tried to sell us warranties or even undercoating :). Do they even undercoat cars anymore. Buying a new car

For the past 8 months my husband and I searched and searched and searched to find the right vehicle that best suited our needs. We have done business with Joe Machens Capital City multiple times and have never been dissatisfied with the customer service we receive. It starts with the warm smiles you see as soon as you walk through their front doors and follows with instant service. We happened to get Cody Beyers as our sales associate. Cody and I talked Friday over the phone about exactly what I was looking for and he instantly got to work. Next was the financing end of everything. Sometimes this can be a long timely process when purchasing a new vehicle. That wasn't the case at Joe Machens. They made it extremely easy and in a timely fashion. 2017 F-350 Superduty

Just received my new F-350 Superduty and it is a beautiful truck and I am amazed with all of it's new features and how well it drives. No Hassles..Right Price

I had the pleasure of dealing with Doug Keeler at Joe Machen's Ford. Doug did not give any sales pressure and made the process easy. I was going to buy a Silverado but saw an F 150 and turns out I liked it better. The price was already a good deal and Doug included a spray in bedliner to make the deal even better. Doug stayed an hour and half late to make sure everything was taken care of that day. I enjoyed the sales experience and really like my truck!

Disappointing Dealership

We spent approximately 6 months looking for a used vehicle that fit our needs at locations all over our state. A vehicle that fit what we needed came available at Joe Machens Capital City. The sales representative we worked with was great (Devon Henry)! Unfortunately, the 2014 Pathfinder we purchased was not sent through ANY sort of check system as within two weeks of ownership, it was being towed from our driveway as it needed a new transmission. The whole process of getting it repaired, securing a loaner car during the repairs, and then what followed with dealing with the dealership that sold us the vehicle (Joe Machens Capital City) was absolutely and utterly disappointing. When we expressed our concerns with the vehicle and keeping it, we were told they would work with us in finding a replacement vehicle if we chose to do that. Back to square one of what we had spent 6 months doing...searching for a vehicle.....again. The process of replacing the lemon vehicle they sold us was to be a basic trade in. No...not convenient at all. We told the dealership to find us a replacement any way as we were no longer comfortable in this vehicle that left us stranded with needing a NEW TRANSMISSION at only 48,000 miles and that had a $29,000 price tag. I have saved the emails....we were told they were going to find us what we needed (I sent an itemized list of what we wanted in a vehicle...a simple internet search would have found what we needed within a few MINUTES!) It's been one month today....we haven't heard ONE WORD from the dealership that gave us nothing but words, a $29,000 vehicle that needed a new transmission and has us concerned we will be stranded on the side of the road....again....DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS DEALERSHIP. Their definition of customer service is dismal. Once the sale is made, they are done with you. We are the proof of this. When a customer expresses their level of dissatisfaction to the point we did, SOMETHING should be done to take care of them. NOT at Joe Machens Capital City.

Amazing experience

The entire experience from start to finish was so easy and these guys took the anxiety and frustration that comes with buying a car. Douglas was professional, courteous and no pressure. Kevin was so friendly and helped us get into a vehicle I never thought I could afford Mike in finance was great as well. We could not have asked for a better experience. You know you're dealing with the best of the best when you hug your salesman before you drive off with your new car and the sales manager seems as excited for you to get your new car as you are.

The sales man was Cody Hodge at which time Cody took me through a quick hands on telling me how to use everything in the truck, he was most helpful, very knowledgeable and very polite, I felt like I had known him for a long time, in other words he is a excellent salesman and knows what he is doing . Then I was taken to the Business Manager Bryan Ehase who was very professional but also very helpful in working with me on the paper work end of the deal. Easy, no pressure sales

I liked the fact that there was no pressure to buy. However, I would have liked the salesman to tell me a little more details about the car, i.e. stop/start feature. Also, had to bring the car back for Touch ups that weren't completed. I appreciated the quick service and turn around for that.

The way you should be treated!

This is the second vehicle that my wife and myself have purchased from salesman Brad Bartlett, and he will be the salesman that we continue to use. He was attentive and straight forward while not being over pushy and aggressive. In my opinion, he is a salesman that still treats people like people instead of just someone that is buying a car and how can I get them to buy one. Once Brad handed us off to Bryan the feeling of still being treated as a person continued. He was willing to do whatever he could in his power to get me into a car that I wanted and not just a car that I would be stuck with for years. He continue to search avenues and ways for my family to be able to buy my very first brand new car and be happy with the results of the loan. I left Joe Machens feeling as if I was the winner, instead of the last few cars I have purchased (from other dealers) as defeated and just put in a car that I wanted but wasn't the best fit for me. Expected good service and received it.

This was our second new car purchase with this dealership. We had to order our car as the options we wished for were unavailable in existing inventory. We have to go back to the dealer to have a couple of options taken care of, but that should happen within a week.If I had to complain about something it would be the way Ford combines the options available to the consumer. Now it's probably done in the interest of operating expenses but as a consumer, I don't want to spend money on options I don't want to receive the options that I do want.

FAN - BLOODY - TASTIC

I had been thinking about a 'newer' car since mine was getting up there in years and miles but couldn't make up my mind to 'take the plunge'. Then I found out my 'other' car needed some extensive work. I was talking with my buddy Raz about what they had. He doesn't sell any more so he called his buddy John Lange. We talked about what I was looking for and what they had. I was actually making arrangements for tires for my son's Focus - which we had bought through Raz several years earlier. Because of a minor emergency I brought the car in earlier than planned. I would have needed a ride back to work. Raz called John and suggested I take the Focus we had been discussing instead. Then John said 'Why don't you just keep it until Saturday' giving me a couple days to drive it. John found a $1000.00 off deal and then, because of the color I chose, he found another $1000.00 rebate and 72 months financing at 0% interest. We came in on Saturday to sign the papers. I couldn't have found better guys anywhere who listened to what I wanted and what I needed. John hooked us up with Matt Wilde to do the paperwork. Matt gave us all the options on payments, including my option of a down payment and the difference it would make in my payments. Then we talked about the various warranties available. Because I don't anticipate this being 'high mileage' vehicle, Matt was able to find a warranty covering a longer period of time, These gentlemen all had an equal part in making this a truly enjoyable experience, This is my first time ever 'NEW' car. I can't imagine anyone else being able to make this such a super experience. I have purchased vehicles previously from Ford and have always received super service - but these guys were totally awesome.

This was the first stop we made to look for a new car. It turned out to be the last as well. We walked into the dealership looking for a specific salesman. We were greeted, not swamped. We were then directed to the salesman, Kurt Lofton. He listened, asked a couple questions, and showed us on the dealership website what was in stock. This was very nice, since it was extremely hot outside that day. Once we narrowed down what we were interested in, we went out to look and test drive. Kurt and other employees were polite and professional. I thought the salesman, Brent Simmons was a very sweet gentlemen, helped me by answering my questions and if he did not have the answer he found it for me. He was not a pushy salesman. The finance man Terry Bradshaw I think was his last name, not real sure on that. He was a very nice gentlemen and answered my question very thoroughly and explained everything to where anyone could understand it. My experience there was a very down home feeling, I felt very much at home. Was a great experience and will refer anyone i know to that location.

I had a great purchasing experience with Joe Machens Capital City Ford. My salesman Kurt Lofton was very professional and pleasant to deal with. I have had high pressure experiences at other dealers but not here. Kurt went above and beyond to help me out and even offered to stay late to meet me with the keys and to pick up my car If I was not able to make it quite in time at closing time. I ended up making it in time, but I don't know many salesman that would do that to save me a trip 2 hours the next day. They also had some of the best prices on the vehicle I was looking for. If you think you can only purchase Ford products here rest assured they carry almost all used makes and models here so give them a look. Always exceeds my expectations

This was the 3rd vehicle purchased from Joe Machens in Jefferson city. The last 2 times I dealt with Douglas Keeler and Mat in finance. Each time they have gotten us what we wanted at terms that were very agreeable. Both are great to work with. As long as I'm in Missouri I'll be buying my Fords from this dealership.

Good experience

Friendly people and received fair price on new vehicle. A few mix ups in communication and some paperwork but no one is perfect and all issues were resolved. To me the mark of a good business is the desire to fix the problems and take care of the customer. Service after the sale was good too and because of that we went back a week later and bought another used vehicle from them.
