The finance managers nor the sales manager will take or return a call after purchase of your vehicle to resolve issues pertaining to their screw up. i left several messages over 3 days and had a salesman go into the managers office but the manager would not return my call. We had to lie to get someone on the phone to answer our question. I would never recommend this dealership to anyone because they do not care about their customers after the purchase. Very poor customer service.

I brought my trailblazer in for a headlight to be replaced. Everyone was very nice and helpful. I dropped vehicle off that am and got a ride to work. I received phone call that it was ready probably around 10. I got a ride back to pick it up around 2. I did find out when I got home that evening around 6 that whoever had changed the headlight out had left my headlights on all day long. It has the automatic lights that come on when the truck is in gear. My reminder bell does not work that says the lights are being left on when you turn off the engine and open the door. The truck started but the battery gauge was lower than normal. Other than that I had no issues.

It's good to know Keras Chevrolet is keeping with the honored tradition of great service from its' service department. On my latest visit my usual service writers were out and Matt (Monaghan) stepped in and stepped up to the plate with a grand slam. He performed with the same great skills as the service writers before him. It was a breath of fresh air to deal with him, I was nervous and was tempted to wait on the old heads to return. Matt went above and beyond when an oversight occurred with my vehicle which I was unaware of. I came back to the service department and was waited on immediately so as not to inconvenience me for having to return. I have purchased several cars at this dealership. I keep going back because I have been treated fairly. I had my 2015 Z06/Z07 on the track at Barber in Birmingham at a REZOOM high performance track event. (NOT RACING). The fancy new differential failed and I had the car taken to a local GM dealership who refused to perform the repair under warranty. I brought the car back to Keras in Memphis and the regional GM Rep approved the warranty repair. Full new differential. The guys at Keras were excellent. If I lived in Birmingham, I would drive to Memphis to buy a car.

Simple Servicing and Tire Rotation - no problem.However, I had a 9:00 a.m. appointment (which I did not expect to be exact or quick), but I still was there for 1 HOUR AND 40 MINUTES. There is room for improvement. One of your competitors is advertising "true 30-minute oil changes"

I've been a Jim Keras customer for 4 years and have bought two cars there. The service department does good work for fair prices.The employees are sometimes very rude. I have complained about this several times before. Someone always writes to me, says how sorry they are, and promises it will be better next time, but it's not.If I could manage it, I would only deal with Vaughn Kearney, one of the service advisors. Mr. Kearney is always thoughtful and polite. That certainly isn't true of some of the others.It is standard at Jim Keras for you to go there for service and stand in front of the desk of a service advisor who is busy writing up a ticket and who completely ignores you for 10 minutes or so, as if you're not even there at all--the service advisor doesn't even bother to look up and say "Sorry for the wait, sir," or anything.I took my car to Jim Keras for servicing on Saturday, August 29. My service advisor this time was a young man, probably in his 30s. He was very friendly and polite. I had no problem with him.The problem was with another service advisor, a white man in his 40s, rather tall, with brown hair, as I recall. He was standing right behind me. Suddenly, he yelled, right in my ear, "Look out, fella!" I nearly ducked, thinking a light fixture was about to fall from the ceiling.In fact, he was not talking to me and appeared to be unaware that I was even there, even though I was standing right in front of him.Instead, he was talking to another service advisor, a young man perhaps in his 20s, who was about to step off the curb next to where these men work, and evidently, the man behind me thought the younger man was in danger of some kind, though I'm not sure why.I don't blame someone for wanting to warn a friend, but it was the fact that this man showed no awareness that I was standing right in front of him and basically just yelled in my ear that I found extremely annoying. But I see a variation of this in a lot of Jim Keras employees I deal with. It's not that they are horribly offensive--they simply behave in a way that suggests that they "had no upbringing." Every time I go there, I wonder what minor rudeness and obliviousness I'm going to have to put up with this time. I came across a variation of that the last time I came there to buy a car, in August of 2014, when the salesman who waited on me, Alvin Wilson, kept saying "Oh Jesus Christ" all the time, which I really didn't care for either.So I'll keep coming back to Jim Keras because I need good work done on my car and need to buy a new car every few years. But I wish the place would hire people who had some manners and understood something about professional behavior.

I usually have my 2008 Saturn ASTRA serviced at Jim Keras Chevrolet either on the way to or back from Maine each summer, and they have consistently provided excellent service for my car (they are a Saturn Authorized Service Provider). On this particular visit (August 24, 2015) I requested an oil change and tire rotation as well as a brake inspection since I had recently experienced "smoking brakes" after navigating a steep and winding road in the Mount Washington Valley in New Hampshire. The service advisor looked at the brake fluid and explained to me that its discoloration was a sign that a brake flush would be needed to avoid this problem in the near future (fortunately it is very flat in West Texas). The service was completed in a timely fashion, and I was pleased to notice that the engine oil life system indicator had been reset when I picked up my car (surprisingly, not all SASPs do this). Thumbs up to the Jim Keras Chevrolet service department!

Had a hitch put on my vehicle on a Monday as I was going to be pulling a U-Haul trailer early Thursday morning to Nashville to move my daughter back to college. Later that day the check engine light came on.The Onstar diagnostic said it was a misfire. Car was hesitating with acceleration like it wasn't getting gas and had knocking when I cut the engine. Tuesday morning early went and had a diagnostic ran. They stated the issues and that they had pulled the information and it was showing as a recall. They recommended taking to dealership for service due to this. I went to the dealership where I had bought the vehicle. I explained my major problem as I needed this fixed so that I would be able to pull the U-Haul and get my daughter back to college. They told me they were too backed up and wouldn't be able to get to it. They did recommend Jim Keras Chevrolet that was down the road. I immediately went there and pulled up to service. I spoke with Steve Hutchison and explained the issues with the vehicle and also the time crunch problem with moving my daughter. He said "I'm gonna do the best I can to help you. If you can get the vehicle here asap I'll get it in and do my best to get it fixed before you need to take your daughter back to school." I told him it was parked outside and I could get someone to pick me up. They got it right back and he even noted on the work order what the situation was and the timeframe issue and highlighted it. He again said they would do their best to get it ready by close Wednesday evening. I called Steve Wednesday afternoon to check and he said they needed one more hour to finish it up but be here at 530 pm and it will be ready for you." I got there at 530pm and it was ready. He went over everything and took me in to finish the paperwork and escorted me out to the car. He also said "we're here for any of your car needs and would be glad to help with anything you need." I am so thankful for all Steve and the person(s)that worked on my vehicle to fix the problem that was a recall and to get it done so quickly so that I could pull the U-Haul and get my daughter back to college. I wouldn't have been able to otherwise. It was such a stressful time to begin with and then added with the car trouble it could have been a horrific situation to us but due to the excellent customer service of Steve Hutchison and all at Jim Keras Chevrolet it was a smooth transition. I greatly appreciate all that was done and certainly will go to them for all of my car needs from now on and highly recommend them to others.

I have been having my 2012 Chevy Sonic serviced at Jim Keras Chevrolet since I purchased it in 2012. I went in for an oil change but made them aware that I needed a diagnostic test because my check engine light was on. After they were done servicing my vehicle. I checked everything out on my OnStar app. to my surprise my oil level was still at 30%, the amount it was when I brought the vehicle in. I found that my tires had not been rotated because the tire that always tend to be the lowest was still the lowest.All my tire were not filled as they say that is included in the oil change. The tire levels were at 30 when it should have been 38. I asked the technician about it and he had the Oil light reset without making sure the oil had been changed. The technician drove my car off to fill the tires and was absent for about 15 minutes which I can only assume that they were then changing the oil. I have never been displeased with Jim Keras but I sure was disappointed this time.

Replacement of Part
There should be more detail to clean the car after repairs. I had a latch/bracket replace on my roof and there were hand prints and smudges all over my glass top. Just a quick wipe down would have removed the prints and smudges.

We have been without a car note for several years so this was a hard job for any salesperson. Steve in Service is the best. I arrived in Service with a low tire pressure. He had my car checked out and they found a screw was lodged in my tire. If he had not checked it out thoroughly, I would have found a flat tire in the morning. Within 20 minutes after my after 5:00pm arrival, I was safely back on the road. I love the Jim Kerns team.

Rats Nest
When I got my oil changed the mechanics noticed my air filter was closed with what appeared to be a rats nest. Yes, a new air filter had to be replaced for an additional fee ,but, if the mechanics who worked on my car had not done a thorough inspection of my car the problem could have become more costly. Now I have more fresh air coming from my air condition. I thank the team at Jim Keras for their keen eyesight and thorough inspection of my car.
