Great customer service from Jamie Tumpson. He helped a bunch finding and accommodating me with the perfect match for the Lexus GS 350 that I wanted. Friendly and helpful from the first time that I walked in to walking out with the vehicle ready to go. I did feel a bit rushed since it was the end of the month, but a great experience overall. I highly recommend to go see Jamie.

Service rep, Tim, was efficient and helpful, attempting to get an answer to a question unrelated to the reason I was there. The facility is lovely and very customer friendly, making a stay very pleasant. Service is usually done in a reasonable time and having the car ached as a standard is great!

Went shopping with a golf club. The car needed to hold 4 sets of golf clubs laid sideways, and have room for 4 big guys to ride to Charleston for golf trips. The 350X fit the bill and is also fun to drive. We love it. The work at the dealership has also been excellent. the waiting "room" is as nice as my house. We are thrilled with the car and the dealership. Mary Thomas

Brought my car in for 20K mile maintenance. As usual the staff was very professional. I enjoyed refreshments as my car was checked out and had no issues with the time spent and quality of the work.

It was time to replace my LS and not only did I not want to leave the Lexus product line I could not imagine giving up the level of service and attention to detail I have come to count on at Jim Hudson Lexus. So the LS is gone but I'm in another Lexus from Jim Hudson and looking forward to years of great service.

Made appointment on-line for 100,000 mile service. Everything went smoothly and car was ready in 4 hours after drop off. Excellent dealership and service department.

Very professional staff with timely and great service. They provided us a loaner vehicle while the recall work was being completed. The y estimated the work to be completed the next day but was finished the same day. Great Job!!! Will do business with again.

Hello: I would like to take the time to comment on the best Service Rep. at Jim Hudson Lexus on killian rd. Savanah Shealy is the best rep. In part because of her passion for customers concerns, she is very professional. Understanding the needs anof each customer, time her time to answers all questions with a knowledgeable feedback. My visit to Jim Hudson was to have my vehicle diagnosed for a battery warning light, I've replaced the alternator and full charge my battery, turned out that I need another battery and alternator. Car shutdown and it would move after fail attemps, Savanah offered all kindof services to make me feel at home, just my opinion Ms. Shealy is my employee of the year !!!!!

This is the dealership from the "old days" of car buying. Let me explain.. I grew up in a small town. My aunt Marian never married and drove a car for decades. When it was time to buy a new car she called the local Chevrolet dealership and told the "owner" what she wanted. It had to be green, two-tone; a 4 door and automatic. He would give her a price for her car. He knew her car as he serviced it.. .. quoted her a trade figure and when the new car came in he, the owner, would deliver it to her. Jim Hudson delivers... I was so impressed that I suggested not the car I was interested in but something else so I could buy from Jim Hudson, Lexus..

This dealer not easy to deal with

New Lexus RX350 Owner on 04/29/2012

E-mailed this dealer to get a quote on a new Lexus RX350 advertised on cars.com. Their "Internet Sales" person, Byron Coward, came back with an e-mail listing only standard features on the car and the MSRP, both of which I already knew from the listing. I asked Byron in a second e-mail to list which optional features were included in the list price. He came back with a pdf of the window sticker, which was appreciated, but no discounted price quote. Byron wrote: "hopping is the best way to gain comfort with price and with the specific vehicle that you are likely to purchase. Before you invest time in shopping, let document the specific vehicle you are going to shop for and some of the ricks of the tradethat youe likely to encounter. We do not have a dealer fee so that starts out your savings." I e-mailed him back indicating this was the car I was interested in and that if no fees is the best he could do; then I could do a lot better elsewhere and thanked him for his time. He then e-mailed back: "We will match any bonifide deal in writing for a car that is in stock and probably deliver it to you if it is this weekend. AND we do not have a dealer fee. Once you have settled on your car and equipment we will talk." I responded: "So, if I interpret this correctly, I need to go to another Lexus dealer, sit down and negotiate a price, try to get that in a written document I can take along to show you, all so you can just 'match' it?" Byron then phoned me and offered discounted prices on 2 different vehicles they had in stock one the vehicle I originally inquired about and a second vehicle which was the same model and color but with more options. To make a long story short, I ended up purchasing a new RX350 identical to the second vehicle Byron quoted from the Lexus dealer in Greenville, SC for thousands less than the best discounted price that Byron offered. In a nutshell, I feel this dealer wasted my time and was not prepared to deal via the Internet. Their listings on cars.com is simply a way to get your contact information and invite you to come in to see them. They do not want to seriously deal online.


Jim Hudson Lexus is beyond the best dealership.

When searching for a new car, everyone knows the process is not easy. With Jim Hudson and his salesmen Byron, they made the process easy. I live 2 hours away from their dealership. Not only did they efficiently emailed/ called me with information about the car. When I decided to trade my car in and take a look at the Lincoln MKZ, They had the nicest man I have ever met, drive it down. We discussed the car over lunch, and bought the car. I had been searching for 5 months for a new car, and was either bombarded with annoying, salespeople that kept showing me stuff out of my budget. Whereas Jim Hudson's Lexus dealership obviously had nothing but true professionals working there. They were kind, courteous, funny, down to earth people, and also honest, and straight forward. I felt like I could trust Byron with everything he told me. No loops to hop around. I bought the car on the spot when they drove all the way down to Columbia for me to see it in person. I am beyond satisfied with the car and would highly recommend Jim Hudson Lexus to everyone i know that lives in the Columbia area, or in S.C. in general! Next time I drive through Columbia, I hope to stop in and say thank you to everyone.
