I sent the following email to the dealership due to inaccurately describing a vehicle that I bought:I am writing to let you know that I was very disappointed in the disclosure information on the 2016 Santa Fe that was transported to me on Thursday, October 1, 2016. I met the transport gentleman in a parking lot due to being over 300 miles away from your dealership. The sun was very bright and it was not easy to look at the vehicle for any blemishes. Based upon what I had been told about the vehicle, I went ahead and signed all the papers and sent them back with a certified check for cash sale.Upon getting home with the car and putting it in my garage, I noticed a couple of significant scratches on the drivers door. I felt that I could live with these scratches and they might be able to be buffed out. But when looking at the back right passenger door, I discovered 2 dents and paint rubbed dull due to what looked like someone turning into the vehicle and rubbing into it. The pictures sent to me dont even show the bottom of the right passenger door so I could not see it in the pics either. When I talked to your sales person about the vehicle, I asked him if the body had any dings or dents and he told me that it was in perfect condition. No one ever disclosed to me the dents and rubs on the bottom of the door. While it is not hugely noticeable, I am going to have to have body work done on the car to make it look right again. While the car is extremely nice in condition, I do not appreciate that this was not disclosed to me; and coming home from church today, when I looked in my rear view mirror, I could see 2 small dents in the left back passenger door that you cannot see without looking down the car sideways.All in all, I am very disappointed in this transaction because I trusted your dealership to be above board regarding any blemishes that should have been disclosed and there are several that were not.

I put a down payment on a car..Needed something safe for my kids.Went there to pick up the car myself,I got changed for delivery,Even though I pickup the car myself.They changed me for repairs,I DIDNT ASK FOR ANY REPAIRS!!The person that sold me the car said all I had to do was sign a few more papers and I was ready to go..Didn't have the car for maybe 3 weeks,It cut off while I was driving..Didn't complain about it..Well now I have no car to take my kids to school,i can't even go to work..I really am heart broken and now I have to worry about my kids getting to school and me getting to work..Thanks a lot..

I usually do not write reviews, but felt compelled to do so this time after my experience at Jim Burke Hyundai. I had 3 guys who ALL made me feel like I was the most important person there. My salesperson, Antonio Gillespie, was not only attentive, but also wanted to make sure every question was answered and was NOT "high pressured" like I have experienced so often in previous times in auto dealerships. His general manager, Mikey O'dell, assisted when needed and what great support he offered Antonio. He provided the ammunition to Antonio to assure me that they wanted to EARN my business. I noticed and was appreciative. The Genesis that I got has so many bells and whistles that it would have taken me forever to learn about all of them; however, Billy Kimbrell spent about 45 minutes with me going over EVERYTHING and pairing my phone to the car's system and registering me with Bluelink. He also showed me most secrets (i.e. cliff notes) of the owners manual. Went from being overwhelmed with all to learn to overjoyed. Finally, when it came time to sign all the paperwork, Tee Thomas, the finance director, took the time to review each document and was not the type to simply say "sign here, here and here". Anyone who reads this review, I write all of this from the heart and with sincerity. I am 56 years old and have always detested the car buying experience because I had always felt so pressured. This was such a unique and pleasurable experience that it is with pleasure that I recommend these guys. BTW - have had my Genesis for 3 days now and have loved every minute.AWESOME CAR!!

My salesman was Mike Ganey, he was very knowledgeable and took care of any questions or concerns that I had over the phone before I arrived at the lot. He had the perfect car picked out and waiting just for me to test drive. Mike went over every detail of my purchase including my trade in and my finance. No secrets with this guy! I drove home in a brand new 2016 Altima SR pearl white!! I love my new purchase and when it's time for another one, Mike Ganey, I will be calling!! Sending everyone I know to you! I told Terry Skinner what price range I was looking for. Within a few days he called me back and said "I have something for you". I couldn't believe it!!! He even delivered it to me in Starkville and brought the paperwork, too. This is probably one of the best car buying experiences I've ever had without stepping foot on the car lot.

We were in the market of buying a particular car for our son. We called ahead talked with Antonio Gillespie we gave him the time we could travel to Jim Burke and when we got there he was there waiting for us. We gave him the paper work of the car, Challenger my son had picked out in Anniston. We wanted to keep our payments at a particular place. He came back to us and said yes. He said he had one just coming off the truck. He drove us about a block or so from his office to see it. My husband and I liked it, but my 21 year old had to also. We took pictures sent them to him. He liked it. So Antonio stated he could have everything ready when we came back. He would have the car cleaned and ready for Keenan. We talked about the time to return. when we came back it was late the next evening. But it did not seem to bother Antonio he still came out greeting us with a pleasant smile. Hebtook us where we would sign documents. But not before letting Keenan see his car looking like it was fixed just for him. Antonio talked to our son and encouraged him in his walk of life. Antonio is a delight. It was definitely a pleasure working with Antonio to get my son in his first new car, even a month down the road we received a text from Antonio checking on Keenan in college. what a thoughtful salesman. He went beyond on several occasions making sure we were pleased with our purchase. Thank you Antonio. We will be back soon. Antonio will get our business

Doug and the great work is the reason I keep coming back... But mainly because of Doug, he kept me informed of the work being done, told me what all was done and repair, and what to expect in the next couple of weeks. He could not have been any nicer! John was very helpful to take the initiative more broadly and make me aware of other service interval items. This is my daughters car who is away in college so thinking thru the service comprehensively was very helpful to me as time was going to be a problem back and forth. So by exchanging voice mails which also was efficient I decided to take care of it all at one time. Related to that he mentioned in his comprehensive voice mail that it was time for tire rotation and I informed him that I have lifetime rotation at SAAB down the street. I left him that return message but said go ahead with the rotation.I picked up the car at lunchtime after arriving unannounced that morning that is unexpected quick service that was very helpful for my schedule. The biggest deal is he exceeded my expectations by not charging me for the rotation when we really didn't "talk" but only exchanged voice mails. He didn't have to do that but it was a big, big deal much more than $20 that somebody listened, took initiative and did the right thing and just took care of it. Totally unrelated and John did not know this but I purchased another 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee for my youngest daughter last Friday from your store around the corner and it was totally coincidental that the idle child would arrive home Sunday afternoon giving me the window to knock out service on her car. So all in all we've had a really good Jim Burke Jeep experience and will tell others.

We contacted dealer twice to make sure they knew we were traveling 100 miles, what time we would arrive and to confirm the truck was available for us to drive... We got there at 10:15. Truck was loaned out to someone who had bought a new truck and was having something installed. They didn't get it back until after 12pm. We test drove it, even decided we liked it and made them an offer. They countered with a price higher than the price they advertised. No thanks.

I work downtown and so this is very convenient and easy to just drop off my car for a scheduled service or oil change. I'm able to drive off, drop off the car, and be off to work in minutes. I have witnessed the service writers yelling or belittling the auto techs in the area where you drop off your vehicles on two separate trips. I consider this unprofessional and demeaning. I wonder what goes on behind the scenes. I will not return. Below I checked yes I would recommend the dealership because of the service i had when I bought the car. But NO i will not recommend the service department because of the service writers. The service repair work I had done was fine, no complaints, but the service writer was arrogant and very belittling to the employees.

Brian Christopher worked patiently with us and we found the perfect minivan for our needs, a 2011 Honda Odyssey. I visited this dealership on two different occasions. What prompted my visit was the close proximity to my job and the list of other things on their website. I decided to complete a credit application ahead of time on the website to determine what I could qualify for. I received as a number of calls and texts from several different salesman. Of course, they wanted to know when I would be able to come in for visit. I went the next day and meet with one of the general managers. He was trying to steer me to a certain car which I had no interest. That was one red flag..don't steer customers, found out what their needs are first. Next, one of his salesman tried to steer me as well and I explain that I was interested in another make car. So finally, he decides to show me what I want. He was trying to rush and we took a test drive around the block. This was not enough for me to determine if I wanted this vehicle. I wanted informed him, I wanted to see what the numbers look like. Of course, it was not what I was looking for- too high monthly payments and killer interest. I told him that I would wait on this decision to have my credit improve. He was very pushy and I decided to walk out of the dealership and have him drove me back where my car was parked. This salesman continue to speak and say- how do I ever think my credit is going to improve if I don't purchase. Like really!! Then he had the nerve to insult my current mode of transportation which is over 15 years olld and say, " Why do you think your car is better than 2014 Nissan Altima and I quickly said because " It is paid for"? I never dealt with such a rude salesman. After about a week, I decided to give this dealership another try but at the pre-owned lot because I had my own financing this time. My experience went a little different but same outcome. I went to look at few vehicles and test drove them. I wanted to negotiate a price with them since I had my own financing but they did not accept my offer and this was on the last day of the month. The salesman did not try find another vehicle that I was interested in for my price or anything. He mention that people buy from them all time since they are the main dealership in the Downtown area. About 10 days later, the car that I originally wanted price drop down to what I was asking for. I contacted the same salesman about purchasing and he informed that he could not sale to me since I was not financing with them. So at first, I could purchase the car and now you don't want to sale to me...who does that. These are the most rude and arrogant salemans that I have met. Go somewhere else to be treated like a customer should be. I highly recommend Tameron in Hoover because there is where I took my business.They have earn my business and I will continue to buy for them. By the way, don't worry about receiving a free $25 gift card from Jim Burke for a test drive because they will never send it to you.

We found a used truck on there website.called the dealship they said they had it made an appointment to go look at the truck the next day .then drove 2 hours to get there.along the way the salesman called to tell us to tell us if we needed directions he could give then to us .then he said he would try and have the truck setting there when we got there they informed us that a had somebody else on the truck and had been working with that customer for 2 days .then the salesman took us and showed us other trucks .when we found one we liked and told them we had a trade in a ford f25o super duty xl crew cab 2 wheel drive when they appraised my truck they wanted me to fill out a credit app when we told him we wanted to know what the trade in value of my truck was he's said 4500 dollars we told the they were crazy and got up and left I wouldn't buy a vehicle from them if they were the last dealer ship on earth they lie to u to get there and then low ball your trade in and try to make you buy something they are liers and crooks

I just left the dealership and then received a call asking how my experience was. They have now reassured how low car salesmen rank in the world of trust. My son came down yesterday around 2 and drove a Nissan Altima they had and salesman Mike Ganey was helping him. My son told him we were going to buy the car and he said he would clean it up and put a sold sign on it and we told him we would be there as soon as he got there this morning. We called and he was not there and once he got there we told him we were on the way. He let us drive all the way down there without telling us that the car was already sold and while he was explaining his sorry excuse he had the professionalism to take another call - we walked out. This guy Mike is everything a car salesman is rumored to be.

AVOID THIS SHOP. I took my wife's car to Jim Burke back in March. We got an estimate that was about 30% less than the competition because they said some work would not need to be done to get the car back in shape. Because the insurance company priced the work on needing everything, if we could cut corners, we could cut down on our deductible. Jim Burke did the additional work anyway, without running it by us. When we got the final bill, which was 50% higher than we were originally quoted, we complained because we had no knowledge that the additional work would be performed. We reached a compromise. When I tell them that I can't pay the full amount, they told me that they were sending the account to collections for processing. Avoid this shop. They don't hold to their estimates, they do unauthorized work, and they then come after you months later because of an error on their end and bully you for something you tried to resolve in the first place.

I took my wife's car to Jim Burke back in March. We got an estimate that was about 30% less than the competition because they said some work would not need to be done to get the car back in shape. Because the insurance company priced the work on needing everything, if we could cut corners, we could cut down on our deductible. Jim Burke did the additional work anyway, without running it by us. When we got the final bill, which was 50% higher than we were originally quoted, we complained because we had no knowledge that the additional work would be performed. We reached a compromise. went in looking for a used car (used VW Beetle) that I had seen advertised in the inventory; was greeted graciously, the gentleman took my description of the car; came back and discussed the car's location with another rep; I was then told that the car was in a body shop because a window had a defect. They took my name and number for contact when the car was ready to be seen. Very friendly.

I did not rate the quality of repairs, because no repair was done this time. Service rep Craig told me to bring the car at 12:30 for simple oil change, said it would be about an hour. Well, at 2:30 was told my car would be next on rack. Just another poor showing. When I called the service manager to complain and told them I had problems with the service before, I swear his response was, "so why did you come back?". This was the second car I bought new from them. When the car had about 20K miles on it one Friday, they called and told me they were not going to be selling that brand of car any longer, and that if I wanted any warranty work done I had to bring it the following Monday. Said beyond that date, I would have to take it to Atlanta for warranty work. They should spend as much money on their service department and making people happy as they do on running those stupid commercials non-stop. The sale never ends, and the service never starts. Would never, ever, under any circumstance purchase another car from Jim Burke. We would all be better off if they went out of business. Go elsewhere!

This company advertise free oil changes for life of the car. Please read the fine print. If you do not complete all the maintenance the oil change is voided. They also increase the amount due at the maintenance for example for the 15,000 miles service the require a fuel injector cleaning but the handbook recommend this to be done at the 30,000 mile inspection. They have increase the amount of maintenance require to make more money. PLEASE READ YOUR HAND BOOK DO NOT TRUST THEIR SERVICE TECHS.

We have been having financial issues due to a move, and exes. I explained this to the first sales person I spoke to at Jim Burke. He said it is not a problem at Jim Burke, and told me to fill out a credit app and he would get back to me. I received a call the next day telling me I was approved for a $28,000 loan with zero down as I had put on the application. I could not believe it, so I called back and spoke to a finance rep. He told me the same thing. I asked him how this could be, and he said Jim Burke does so much business with banks, "they have extra leverage in these situations". He told me all I had to do was talk to my sales person, and schedule a time to come in, and drive my car home. When I called back, my sales person, Aubrey Witt was down right rude. He told me I shouldn't be looking at used cars, because there's no such thing as depreciation, it's all made up by financial people to make news. He claimed he's been in this business for decades, and I should listen to him, not news people. After arguing the point for 15 minutes, and knowing I was right, I called back and spoke to Charlie Wood the sales manager there. He and I spoke for about 10 minutes, he verified that my credit was accepted at the terms mentioned, and gave me another sales person, Jimmy Key. I spoke to Jimmy, who told me he didn't know what Aubrey was talking about, since they don't run credit until you come in for a particular car, but they would have no problem getting us credit with 0 down. I told him my credit score number. We went in about a week later, and he asked for our driver's licenses so we could drive the cars we were interested in. He asked how much we were putting down, and I told him zero, like I had told him several times before on the phone, and in email. He walked away to make copies of our ID's, and was gone for about 15 minutes. He came back and said we could get credit, however we needed to put down a minimum of $3000, and it would be "in house financing". I told him it would be zero down, and he said they couldn't do it. I wasted a trip to Birmingham, and Jimmy laughed as we left the dealership. It's not only the sales people that lie, but their managers, and their finance reps. Be careful, and shop elsewhere to save yourself!!!

His high standards for vehicle condition are much appreciated. He was pleasant at all times and always had a good answer for all my questions. The salesman that I worked with was very courteous and helpful, but when it was time to give me concrete numbers thats when the trickery started. The salesman would go talk to the sales manager, who would scribble some numbers but would not give me a final price. In the end the starting price was more than I was quoted, but it was late when I signed and I just rushed through the process.

I went to look for a used car and trade in my current car. One dealer was very nice but couldn't be forward with any numbers... I tried a different sales person within the dealership and he proceeded to tell me I need a newer vehicle to carry the negative equity. I told him to run some numbers and call me ASAP.. It has now been 3 weeks and many phone calls with voice mails to him and nobody has returned any back. Would not suggest them at all!

I had wanted a simple base model Nissan Versa with a standard manual transmission, but that model seemed to always be unavailable. Jim Burke did ultimately find me a more expensive Versa model. Although the car cost more that I had wanted to pay, I am still pleased with the car, and the staff at Jim Burke has called several times after the sale to see if I was satisfied with the car.

Please be careful about signing papers at the dealership without the car being inspected (like they promise). That's what happen to me but the dealers were great to inform me and not sell me a lemon...thanks Jim Burke. I will be back!!!

if u have not so good credit one of the saleman will tell u he can get u approved no problem what a lie that is all it has been is a problem i found the car i wanted was told to go up on my down payment and i did and my payments would fit were i wanted them however when i got to the dealership they wanted more money down than what was agreed upon i could never get the salesman to give me a exact price on vehicle when i did finally get the price it was over a thousand more than what was on the internet when i confronted the general manager about this he told me the bank tells them what to sell it to a person for that he could not sell it to me for the price on the internet unless i went through my own bank i also find the car at another dealership for three thousand less and they would not do the 150% price match as stated on their website so in all JIM BURKE IS A BIG RIP OFF SO BUYERS BEWARE OF THIS DEALERSHIP we all work hard for our money and we should never let someone like this business try and take it from us they way they tried to take it from me

Came to dealer to buy used Dodge Caravan. Was told vehicle could not be found and was probably sold. That was lie number one!! Commercial on TV said 5,000 over what your car was appraised at. Lie number two!!!! Was given a total run-around and totally dis-satisfied!! You not only lost one sale, but we were going to buy a Huyandai too!!! Do not buy here!!!!!

I brought my 2006 Forrester into the service dept. on Saturday (10/09/11) morning and to my surprise there was only one person ahead of me. Craig Barnett was my service advisor and in less than a few minutes he had all the paperwork ready to send me car to the back for the upgrade. We spoke for awhile and I found him to be a welcome relief from other dealer's service people. He was cordial, friendly, a down right nice person. He told me how long it would take to finish and it was done when promised. He is a credit to your dealership, and because of him I will be returning to have my service done at Jim Burke Subaru.
