I have nothing to say on the sales end of things, because I did not purchase here. When it comes to service is when things get interesting. If you show up for service with anything other than an oil change the technicians are absolutely lost. The service writers that sit at the front desk could care less about the customer and are generally unfriendly. I have given them 3 chances with my 2015 chevy and they still haven't gotten anything right. I would not recommend getting any service work done here that a 6 year old couldn't do!

As I was driving from Atlanta, GA to Alton, IL my sun roof exploded in southern Illinois. I called and pulled off to several dealerships who wouldn't help or stated they didn't have time. This was not the case with Jeff at Jack Schmitt....he told me that I was welcome to come and he would do everything he could to help. The service department was closed upon my arrival but he had made arrangements with the sales department to open the garage so my car wouldn't sit out exposed overnight. He had the parts ordered and the glass cleaned up early the next morning, the parts arrived that afternoon and my car was ready to go! AMAZING service and care! It was a horrible experience while traveling with my children and my mother-in-law but Jeff made it the best he could and for that I will be forever grateful.

I bought the car when I was 19 years old and they definitely helped me out because I was looking for a used car, they helped me with starting my credit, and finding a bank that would accept me with a loan. Today I'm getting an oil change, and I like working with them and would recommend them to a friend.

I like them here, they are very personable. I didn't buy my car here, but I'm bringing my truck in to get serviced. I went into a different Chevy service center with a friend's truck - and I didn't feel taken care of, it felt like they were trying to get me in and out. They didn't take the time to explain the diagnosis and ask me if it was OK to do the repair. While I'm waiting for my service, the salesman showed me some pickups and explained some of the rebates. I found some that I really liked, but I'm not looking to buy now. Nice people here, I would absolutely recommend them to a friend.

Jill Moore and Jimmy Callahan answered my email request for more information on a Chevrolet Volt that was for sale. Jill did an excellent job answering my questions both on the phone and via email. I determined to fly to St. Louis from Spokane, WA. They had the car i wanted and so it was worth the investment. Jimmy Callahan picked me up in the morning and took me for an introductory ride.. Then explained the various things about the cars operation. I drove the car overnight and liked it. Paid cash and drove home.. The Chevy Volt is the most satisfying car i have ever owned. Its operating costs are well below any other car. Basically with the day trips i take, i am averaging over 250 mpg On the road home it was 43 mpg. but with the charging overnight since i got back, i have had to purchase 3 gallons of gas. and i have used 1.7 gallons in 384 miles. The engine only goes on when you run out of power.. So i used the gallons on those days when i have driven over 50 miles. Basically the Volt is buying itself.. I have no experience with Gas Stations anymore!!!!!!!!!

Jeff Barrows and his coworkers were exceptional. If we had known buying a car was this easy and painless, we would have done it long before now. Thanks to a prompt, excellently written response to my internet inquiry by Jill Moore, My wife and I travelled 75 miles to Jack Schmitt Chevrolet to examine our potential "dream car", a 2011 Corvette. Upon arrival we were greeted by a smiling receptionist who quickly introduced us to Jill Moore and the salesman, Kerry Carnes. Kerry was able to answer all our questions professionally. After a test drive, we knew we had found the right car. Kerry promised that some minor scratches could be buffed out to make the car look like new. We returned two days later to find the repairs were perfect. Dealing with Kerry and the entire Jack Schmitt team was a phenomenal experience. Buying a car can be enjoyable, and Jack Schmitt Chevrolet certainly proved that. Thank you to Jill and Kerry!

The hardest part about this purchase was picking the vehicle we wanted! Salesman Tom Swain was great. Jill in Internet Sales was great. Finance guy (Larry?) was great. No heavy pressure to get extended warranty like the last dealer I purchased from. Told him we were not at all interested and that was that. Gave me what i wanted for trade-in right off the bat. Is hard enough but finding out after you drive 3hr it not cleaned up when you get there is not a good start, then a half way clean job is not good either, but as it is the car is a good car, the paper was good, the dealership was building a new one. Went in to purchase new Equinox. Talked with Chris Carr who seemed upfront & honest. Suggested a new 2013 w/ $28,800 sticker price. Said lowest could go was $25000. Sales manager Rick showed us invoice to prove. We said $23000 was our lowest offer & walked when they wouldn't meet it. Got home & looked at invoice & it wasn't even real!! It was when another dealer bought the car in May 2013!! Then go online & they are offering THIS SAME VEHICLE for $22,040. Of course, when I call it's a mistake, blah blah blah. TOTALLY DISHONEST DEALERSHIP - AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!
