I made at least 4 visits over 3 weeks with a friend who drove 100 miles each way to take me becauseI was pleased with this dealership.. I remember the day I got my Honda Odyssey Touring Elite back in 2013.Of course they are all nice and full of courtesy. My power sliding door is already broken somehow. The cable is cut from inside and now it's hanging outside the door. I have to buy the full parts cable and motor. Just can't replace the cable they told me. I bought genuine honda parts online to save money on parts because it was $150 cheaper. Called service to see if they can fix but I guess they were not happy that I bought the parts on my own. They said they would but did not sound so great about it. I was told that the labor was $125/hour. Maybe that is the standard fee for all dealers but to me it sounded just too high. I will take it to my local auto shop. I don't know what I was expecting but little courtesy would have been fine with me. I did buy a pretty expensive car from them. Hoping they would treat half the same as they did when I walked in to buy the car.

I searched the entire East Coast of the USA for a 2016 Black or Gun Metal Gray Accord Coupe EX-L V6 w/6 Speed Manual transmission, it is a VERY hard-to-find vehicle (Did not like the paddle shifters or Variable Cylinder Management in the Automatic V6 Accord Coupe). After 2 weeks, I had found four vehicles that fit the bill. JL FREED had a better price than the all of the other dealers (by $1,000 in two cases).HOWEVER, the Trade-in was a deciding factor in whether I was buying the car. Another Philly Honda dealer offered me $1500 less than JL FREED and they only had an automatic.I walked away from that deal, quickly. After John Syzsko talked to the boss, I got what I wanted for the trade-in. ICBI, it was VERY close to what I would have got if I sold the car privately considering the tax savings on $21K ($1,260)A big plus with JL FREED was that I did not get any annoying phone calls (I am still getting e-mails and phone calls a month later form a few dealers that cant figure it out that I got my car, DUH !). I just sent an e-mail to JL FREED that was answered promptly. I went to two other dealers (test drove an automatic,HATED IT !) and was unable to make a deal,and was about to give up my search for this 'hard-to-find' car. AND JUST THEN, LEEANNE e-mailed me and said that JL FREED had the car 'on-the-lot', at a better price than everyone else and would I like to come and test drive it ? 36 hours later, I strolled into the dealership, was treated very well by EVERYONE, including John Szyscko the EXCELLENT salesman and Alex the finance guy, and a few hours later I drove off the lot with an AWESOME CAR (the 2016 ACCORD COUPE EX-L V6 6 Speed Manual is an AWESOME CAR, WOW !!!) and got an AWESOME DEAL ON IT! The financing at 1.9% for 60 months is fantastic.I travelled about 50 miles to go to JL FREED HONDA and I am really glad I did. I got the 'hard-to-find' car I wanted and got an all around great deal on it. I suggest that anyone else buying a HONDA go there too.

I went in to look at and test drive a CRV - feel in love with the car - Ron Malone was my salesman - we sat down and the next thing I knew I was purchasing the car. Ron was very knowledgeable - felt no pressure at all he made sure he was giving me a good deal and I walked away with money for my trade. Everyone at dealer was very nice - would recommend JL Freed and definitely salesman Ron Malone.

I could not be any happier then my purchase of my 2016 Honda Odyssey. I have been thinking about trading in my 2012 Honda CRV for a while now since we have 2 kids and the CRV was not big enough. Pat took the time to show my wife all the features of the Odyssey since she was going to be the primary driver. I have been to this dealership 3 times for service Every time I was given a car wash. On my fourth visit they denied it saying I had to buy the car from them. I could not believe it. I moved into the area a year ago and I use the Honda dealership closest to me. The dealer had a stack of car wash coupons that she was giving out. What a horrible experience.!!!

Some people may find buying a new car exciting, but I find it very stressful. It is a large purchase so you want to feel confident that you paid a fair price for a good automobile. For me, a car is about an eight to ten year relationship. I am thrilled with my purchase. This is a happy relationship that I believe will go the distance.The salesman who helped me- Pat Colucci was patient and kind. I felt no pressure and I felt like he gave me sound advice in picking the 2015 over the 2016. JL Freed gave me a good deal. The purchase was easy and it was the most pleasant car buying experience I have had in the 36 years that I have been driving.

David Gardner is a very attentive salesman. He made numerous calls to me answering any question or concern I had. Though we decided in the end to buy a Toyota, I wouldn't hesitate to go to David again in the future. When I called him to let him know we were not buying a Honda, he was so gracious about it. Received a urgent recall notice from Honda for repair to my car's air bags. I verified on the internet my car was on the recall list and called to make an service appointment with J. L. Freed in Montgomeryville. I also had the service person verify my car was on the recall list and needed this repair. Had the car at the service drop off at the appointed time of 7:45 in the morning. I was going to wait for the service work to be done so I had with me a brief case full of work and my coffee. I was told by the service check in person, "oh no, we can't do this recall, we don't have the parts." Shouldn't someone check upcoming repairs to see if the necessary parts were on hand? A simple check, then a phone call the day before would save me a lot of inconvenience. It comes to mind if this service department can't schedule repair work properly and see the job through, what is the ability of the mechanics to do the work? Does the lack of attention to detail continue down the line? If I ran my business this way I would be out of business. Clients have little patients with lack of common sense. I sent e-mails to the J. L. Freed general manager, the service manager and Honda USA. I did receive a courteous phone call from Honda USA, but nothing from J. L. Freed. I guess Freed has a lot of customers and I'm not that important to them.

I've purchased my last 3 cars at JLFreed, so I took my mom to get her new car there. They have an excellent and friendly service department, and the sales folks I've worked with are pressure-free. Our sales person (John Syzszko) was very easy-going and took his time explaining everything to my mom who ended up purchasing a new Civic. Also, they accepted the price-guarantee from Consumer Reports, even though they were not a participating dealer. My mom loves her car and thought John was great! When I am ready for a new car, I will be sure to go to Freed and request John specifically!

I emailed JL Freed Honda first and was impressed with the initial warm contact. When I walked in I was not ambushed by hungry salesman but allowed to speak first.They gave me more than a fair price for my used car. They listened to my counteroffer, and second counteroffer, never getting upset or annoyed with me. When we did agree they went to bat for me on the rate of my loan. They never brought a manager into the mix and the Finance department was flexible with the overall price.Geoffery Smith was professional and personable; understood my needs and didn't push me towards something I wasn't comfortable with. Geoffery was very knowledgable and supportive of Hondas as he was a transmission mechanic for 25+ years.Sean Lipschultz was personable, not pushy or intimidating. He was honest and respectful to me, a young with zero leverage, young credit and a young family.I will stopping here first when we're looking for our next vehicle.

I went to the dealership as my lease was coming to the end. The salesman that we have dealt with previously had left the dealership. I was looking to check out options. I informed the salesman that the car was in a fender bender and the driver side seat belt was not working. Since there was a accident report, I was going to pay the $500.00 deductible and get the car fixed. There was also a ding in the wind shield that would have been a $100.00 deductible. I was told that if I left with a car that day these damages would be overlooked,. This is my 8th Honda that I have leased.with JL Freed.Two months later, I received a bill for $3,106.52 for the damages, As a salesman myself, I was shocked that I was lied to in order to get a car on the road. My attempts to talk t someone at JL Freed have fell on deaf ears. When all said and done I paid over $2,000.00 additional by leaving the car on the lot that day. We went to JL Freed this past weekend in the hopes of buying a new car. We walked in and found a friendly face who turned out to be a very knowledgeable, low key and kind sales person - John Szyszko. We didn't want to spend hours and hours going back and forth between our salesman and manager - and we didn't. We received a good deal on a new CR-V and they truly made it a painless experience. John was not pushy or aggressive. He made us feel so comfortable - like we'd known him forever. We also dealt with Alex Zlakowski and Sean Lipschultz in the Finance department. They were both friendly, funny and outgoing. We highly recommend the guys at JL Freed. If you're looking for a new or used car make the trip to JL Freed in Montgomeryville - it's worth it!

We made Initial contact on Thursday, Narrowed our choices to a 2016 Accord EX-L V6 or a CRV-SUV EX-L and got preliminary pricing on Friday. Decided on the former and made our offer on Saturday. After dealer's counter offer and our final offer, we were on the same page on the morning of Monday . Shook hands and signed papers on the afternoon of Monday! The whole process was smooth!!Through the process, the salesman Mark Iatarola, exhibited a high degree of professionalism. He took time to understand our backgrounds and needs, explain the vehicle specs and included accessories in detail, suggest optional accessories we may need, offer reasonable pricing, help us arrive at the choice of our vehicle and offer preliminary pricing. Once decided, he analyzed the basis for our offer, made his counter offer, accepted our final offered walked us through the signing process. He treated us with respect and a friendly demeanor. He will be an asset to J.L.Freed and we recommend him highly to our friends! We went to buy a car and walked away with a friend!!

It was a very nice and excellent experience and warm welcome and hospitality by the sales man John E Szyszko. During the entire sales life cycle I was comfortable dealing with John E Szyszko, as and when required he took the advise from his manager and kept me updated on what is possible and what is not possible. My overall impression on the price of the deal was little more than the market price, KBB value also $ 1000 less than what I was paid. My overall experience except the cost part was extremely very good.

e drove past several Honda dealers to get to JL Freed and it was well worth it. There were no back and forth, high pressure negotiation tactics. We were given a great price that beat all the other deals that were offered elsewhere. Lisa Noone and her staff were courteous and friendly but most important, extremely professional. The paperwork went quickly and the car was delivered to us in a flawless fashion, clean and beautiful. We love our Accord and I recommend JL Freed to everyone considering a Honda or a good used car.

I've recently bought my Honda Pilot from JL Freed Honda and the experience was absolutely amazing. After being told numerous times from different dealerships that would promise you the world that there was nothing they could do for me due to my shaky credit I chose to give up on my search for a new car until I walked into JL Freed. I dealt with Jerry Gonzalez as my salesman and Sean Lipschultz as the finance manager who worked magic, together they got me into my Pilot with a payment that wasn't going to break my bank account. The effort they put into getting me approved moved me to tears. I will forever be grateful to those guys, they truly care about their jobs and making their customers happy! My husband and I both own Honda's from JL Freed. We were always very happy with our old sales person Randi Cohen. She is no longer there and we happened to walk in and get Ron Davenport when we started looking and finally picked out a new lease for me. I didn't feel like he was willing to work out the best possible deal with us. Even if he couldn't meet our expectations financially, he could have been more amicable and offer other options. Maybe a different car, etc. He did not. He was quick to let us go. This is not what we wanted as we really like Honda vehicles and had been very happy with JL Freed prior to this. I have even referee people to JL Freed when looking for a new vehicle. A welcoming a personality can go a long way with a customer.

I brought my car in for an oil change and tire rotation. They gave me paperwork saying they rotated the tires and inflated to proper pressure. They did neither. It makes me wonder if they did oil change also. The manger Matt, told me he trust his guys and didn't want to talk about it. Hey Matt, the tire pressure display on my dash said the tires were way off. I went to wawa and their machine also said they were way off. I have no reason to make this up.

I brought my car in for an oil change and tire rotation. They gave me a report saying they rotated tires and filled to 34/35 PSI. They did not do the tire rotation and they did not inflate tires. The tires were at 31,32,42 and 43 when I picked up. Did they change the oil? I have no way of knowing.What makes me really mad is the attitude of the dealership. They treated me like I was being dishonest. The manager told me if I was accusing his staff of wrong doing he was ending the call because I did not have the right to do that.

My wife went to purchase wiper blades for our 2012 Civic that we purchased from them two months earlier. The person at the parts counter didn't bother to ask her if it was for a Si, Se, or an Lx and just pick one and sold her the wrong ones. So I had to return them for the right ones. The person who waited on me didn't apologize for the mistake or give any reason why his coworker just gave my wife any wipers he felt like. My question is why he wasn't trained correctly on how to sell a part. I shouldn't have to drive all the way back to the dealer and not even been given an exuse or an apology why I was sold the wrong part as simple as a pair of wiper blade.

He was extremely personable and made the car buying experience feel like having a chat with an old friend. The entire process took less than 2 hours from appraising my trade in, to negotiating price, to driving off the lot. His service department is breaking the car, not fixing the car. Don't suggest anybody to go!I was a very loyal customer for JL Freed since 2006. Each time, for oil change, state inspection, checking, fixing....., I always sent my car there. Even though there is a closer honda dealer where I moved to, I still sent my car to JL freed. I even told my sister, friends to buy Honda cars there and think next time I will buy my new car there too. Everything is changed since July 28, 2005.I and my husband have 2 cars (one is 2003 Honda civic with 600,000 milage and the other is 2009 Honda Accord). 3 weeks before, I and my husband were planning to have a vacation for more than one week. Because we need to drive our 2009 Accord on the trip, we thought before we go, we should send 2009 Accord for travel checking and 2003 Civic for State Inspection in JL Freed. Our nightmare started from there......First, we sent 2003 honda civic to JL Freed.The service guy suggested (not necessary) us to replace Timing Belt. Since 2003 civic AC doesn't give the strong cold air, my husband wants the service guy to check AC too. After checking, the service guy called my husband and said the AC compressor needs to be replaced and the total cost (Timing Belt + AC compressor) will be $1300. My husband first told the service guy it was ok to replace both of them and immediately he called me about 2 replacements. Since AC is working and it just has the problem of not giving strong cold air, I asked my husband to call the service back to stop him from replacing AC compressor. But when my husband called back in 5 minutes, the service guy said he had already removed AC compressor and it is difficult to put it back for a car as old as 2003. His hint is putting it bak will break other things. The service guy promised us to ask manager to give $200 discount ($1300 after discount). Even though it is still expensive for us, we think it is better to break the car.At the same day when we picked up the civic, we dropped 2009 Accord. We felt the civic starts a little bit shaking. We told ourselves it is ok and we can not send both cars to be fixed at the same time and the shaking is not very strong (to be honest). On the same day, the service guy called about 2009 Accord and told there was oil leaking on Accord and also some part needs to be replaced, which will charge us $300. We didn't hesitate and said "fine". When we picked up the accord, there is oil leaking light on and off all the times. So we have to send the car back to JL Freed in next day and the service guy said they needed to reset the light after fixing but they forgot. A little unhappy with their servicde already.After we came back from the vacation, my husband started to drive the car to Training station for work as usual (he works in phily downtown). The shaking of the car starts worse and worse every day especially after he turns on AC. The car has a big noise too. Last Friday, we can not tolerate it any more and finally dropped the car to JL Freed on the night July 27, 2015. On July 28, 2015 afternoon, the service guy called us and he told we need to replay AC compressor. At the beginning, we thought maybe we hear wrong and then he explained to us, 3 weeks before he replaced AC condenser, now he needs to replace AC compressor. This will cost $1500. It is impossible! We can not believe we have to spend $2500 for an AC which has nothing wrong except a bit small cold air. We asked him why you didn't find the problem 3 weeks back and explained the issue really happened only after JL freed replaced the AC condenser. But the service guy said our civic is old and anything could happen. It is really not making sense for us: why the problem is always about AC after they touched it? So, we refused to spend $1500 to replace AC compressor. What if after they replace AC compressor, they will ask us to replace car engine?.......Now it is ending our car is shaking with noises. I complained to JL freed manager since then, but I know nothing is going to happen. But to prevent other people from making the same mistake like us, I tell my experience today.I will definitely never suggest my friends or anybody to go to JL Freed for service or anything else.

Our new Odyssey with 2200 miles was rear-ended and we took it to Freed's since we purchased our vehicle there and wanted the repairs done to our satisfaction. Boy were they! It took 6 weeks of fighting by Freed's people but they got the right NEW parts and the car was fixed to our specs. Not only did we have our 2010 Honda Pilot in the service center two seperate times to fix the air conditioner. We were charged both times. Well here we are 3 weeks later the air conditioner does not work again. I called and they will not stand behind their claim that thye fixed it. They will stand behind the repair they made the last time, but if that is not the actual cause of the airconditioner not working they will charge us again. So baiscally they can keep bringing us back in and telling us that it is something else wrong with the air conditioner and keep charging us. Total rip off. I would avoid this place at all cost!

I live in the KOP area so I usually take my CRV to a dealership in that area. After being unable to turn off my car when I arrived home from work, I frantically called the dealership I usually use and received nothing but rudeness and condescending tones. This was not the first time either. My husband was eventually able to get the car off and I hoped it was just a key problem so I used my spare key the next morning. I was on my way to work and when I tried to turn the car off the same problem occurred. I called JL Freed and they were very polite and told me to come right over so they could help me. I pulled into service and the person who takes your car was very polite and understanding as I was now in a frantic state as I was now going to be late for work and just frustrated with the entire situation. Once inside, the service writer, Chris was very helpful. He listened to my rant about what was going on and even came out to check on the car himself. It was a simple fix but he was able to figure out what was going on in 1 minute! (I had a rubber band stuck around my gear shift) He did not make me feel like an idiot as it was something so simple. I also had been having a squeaking sound that the other dealership was unable to diagnose. Chris heard it as I pulled away and came around back and stopped me before I left the property. He again was able to tell me what the noise was and what needed to be done. This entire experience cost me nothing yet they still treated me with the utmost respect and great service! I will absolutely be using them for my service needs in the future!

The first person my wife and I encountered on the J.L. Freed lot was Gold Master Leadership sales consultant Ron Malone. We talked through which would be more appropriate for us as a retired couple, a CR-V or Pilot. I leaned to Pilot and she to a more practical CR-V. Ron answered our questions honestly, citing pros and cons of each. When we left I wanted a Pilot and she still preferred a CR-V. When I went back alone, Ron let me test drive a Pilot and the sale was fore-ordained because I felt that I had just steered a cloud around the dealership. Again, no pressure from Ron, just respectful answers, Meanwhile a good friend of ours had a private conversation with my wife, telling her that since I would be doing most of the driving, it made sense that I feel safe and comfortable. It worked. Suddenly she favored the Pilot. We picked it up today, both pleased at how we had been treated, at at the ease of all transactions and the thorough explanation of the controls. After 13 years of going to this dealership, I have no problem saying that I can't imagine myself going anywhere else to get my car serviced. The culture they have built at their Lansdale location is bar none one of the most unique corporate cultures I have ever seen. I have NEVER been there without everyone always smiling, being courteous and upbeat, laughing, but most importantly making you feel like you are the most important customer to them. I personally live 45 minutes from them and pass 10 service shops just to get to J. L. Freed in Lansdale. If that's not testament enough as to how good this crew is and to at least try them out, then I don't know what is!

Have had my CR-V serviced here since purchasing it in 2011 and always been very satisfied. My only complaint is the Web; compared to other brands you get virtually no information about the cars in inventory (window sticker should be available online!). Like most folks, I don't have time to drive to every dealer to see how the model I'm interested in is optioned. This is a turn-off for me and why I might be buying my next CR-V somewhere else but would come here for service.

Set up an appointment to have warranty work re-done (warped brake rotors), as the problem originally diagnosed and repaired was not resolved. I left my car all day, then received a call at 4:30 pm telling me that the work would not be covered by the warranty this time- "something about the way I drive" was causing the problem. I drive back and forth to work every day- no racing, no high performance driving, just a normal highway commute. Some quick research on line reveals that Honda is aware of the defect in their Accord brake rotors- they are cheaply made and warp easily. I have corrected the problem by purchasing higher quality rotors and replacing them myself. JL Freed should be ashamed of the way they handled this- I won't be going back.

They are very nice but beware. I was sadly taken by this dealership and they did not disclose very important information about the deal. After a long day and hours of waiting, I missed the information which will cost me thousands. Will NEVER do business with them again. Not a single cent. Left a message with the General Manager the very next day that I was very unhappy with my purchase and the dealership and she never even bothered to return my call to find out why. I'm following up with Honda and the owner of the dealership.

great experience at JL Freed. Had purchased, between my 2 daughters and I, 5 Honda's from Keenan in Doylestown. While the experience at Keenan was good, it was no where near the great experience at JL Freed. When first given a price it was close to what I hoped to pay and was close to the fair value purchase price listed at Edmunds. The trade-in allowance was close to Kelly Blue Books' fair value. At delivery, Pete Cozzi did a fantastic job of explaining the features and how things work. He also provided a great explanation of how the service department worked. I felt very comfortable with JL Freed and it's service department after meeting with him. I'm 70 years old and I don't want to think about how many cars I have purchased. This purchasing experience at JL Freed was by far the best experience I've ever encountered with an auto dealership. I would highly recommend this dealership and it will be the first place I go if I need another car.

My salesman, Ron Davenport, was very knowledgable and also a no pressure gentleman. He showed me all the CRV features on the actual car and not just from a book. He let me practice using the backup camera, which is new to me. Freed didn't have the color I wanted on their lot, so they got me my color from another location with no problems. Ron also took care of my change in insurance and had the temp card all ready for me to go; I didn't have to make a single call to the agent. Ron also introduced me to members of the service department and I've already received info from them in the mail. The facilities are super clean, so I'm (almost) looking forward to taking my CRV in for maintenance. I would definitely recommend JL Freed and Ron Davenport for your next car purchase.

I have been taking my Odyssey to Freed for service since I purchased it used 3 years ago. I returned from vacation yesterday to find the "D" light blinking and the check engine light on. The transmission was not shifting correctly either. I secured an appt. online in the morning, dropped the car at 1:15, I was called with an update within an hour by Chris in service who said the diagnosis was a bad wire that needed to be repaired in the automatic transmission solenoid. The service dept had it fixed and I had my car back at 4:30. I took the shuttle home and Bill was the shuttle driver. He was a very friendly person who then picked me up to take me back to the dealership along with 4 other customers who he picked up along the way. He was friendly and engaging with each customer. I was impressed with the professionalism, efficiency and can do attitude of the whole service department, including the shuttle service. They really bailed me out in a tight spot. Great job gentlemen and ladies.

I was unhappy with my 2010 Toyota RAV4 purchased a year ago at another dealership, so I went to JL Freed to test-drive a CR-V. Craig Laudenslager was extremely helpful in answering my trade-in questions and very flexible with my schedule which required me to make several short visits to the dealership. Once I decided I liked the CR-V, I gave him my bottom line on what I could work with, and was so relieved that he LISTENED and never pushed me to take more car than I could afford. Beyond that, he gave me suggestions regarding pre-owned CR-Vs that would be a good fit for my needs and would make me happiest. I am a returning customer. I bought a brand new Honda Civic 16 years ago. However, I totaled my car. :( So I went back and since it was an unexpected purchase, I expressed I wanted a brand new Honda Civic at the most affordable price. Ron Davenport asked me two questions. Did I want Ex or Lx? I said the less expensive one. He then asked sunroof or no sunroof? I said the less expensive one. He didn't waste any time and said he had the car for me. He showed me a standard new car. We took it for a trial drive. He was very thorough and helpful explaining all the gadgets and the job they had. I was excited to know that the rear view back up mirror and bluetooth came standard. After the trial ride, he shared interior and exterior color options and took me to an area of the lot where I could see the colors on the cars. (Instead of just the booklet) After I provided Ron with my down payment possibilities, he provided me with a print out of payment plan ranges based on my down payment options. His boss came over to introduce himself and let me know about the Honda "pot of cash" and how they provide your first months payment. Free money! Who doesn't want that! They did not pressure me as I told them I needed to sleep on it. I was back the very next day to drive home my new car! Ron continued to be patient, helpful and excited with and for me. He assisted my bluetooth set up and provided me with contact information for future needs/concerns. I would recommend Ron Davenport and Honda in Montgomeryville for your next new car!

We had priced around and we were super tired of car shopping! We spotted a vehicle online that met our criteria. We already had a $500 hold on an almost identicle vehicle at another Honda dealership. Unwilling to load the kids up and play the "numbers game" yet AGAIN, I called and was put in touch with Jeff. I just spent the better part of a day driving up to your dealership to test drive a vehicle that I found online. When I got there I spent about twenty minutes walking around the lot trying to find the car that I was looking for. After walking into the "Pre-owned" building (as if those of us looking for a pre owned car need to be segregated into another building) and not getting any the attention of someone at the dealer I walked up to the other building and asked the receptionist about the car I was interested in. She then called back down to the "Pre-owned" building and said I should head back down there. Once there, a man met me and I was finally able to inquire about the car I had seen online. We went to J.L Freed with two goals. First, we had an expiring lease on a Honda Accord and wished to purchase either the existing leased vehicle or a new Accord. Second, we wanted to purchase a new or used Civic, or possibly lease one. Ron Davenport worked with us to evaluate all of the options from both quantitative and qualitative perspectives, arranged for us to test drive multiple vehicles, determined the trade-in value of our trade-in vehicle, handled all of the resulting paperwork seamlessly, and had our new cars cleaned and prepared for us to take with us that day, including Simonizing the interior and exterior of the Accord. We have been dealing with J.L. Freed for over 10 years, from buying a new vehicle to service work. The lasts was buying a new CR-V, the salesperson Ron Malone was genuine person. He made us feel comfortable and work w/ us building our CR-V to our desire. Even later after we found out the trailer hitch was not the size we needed for our bike rack. Ron got it remove from the vehicle before our purchase, without any hassle for us, but not easy for the shop to remove the hitch. I've never bought a car of my own before, and I was simply going to different dealerships, getting a feel for all the different cars and offers. Dan Ryan was open to this, and honestly offered advice in leasing vs. owning, various warranties, discounts, and was even opening my eyes to different cars I hadn't even thought of. Never once did I feel pressured to do anything at all, and after about 30-45 minutes of discussing my options, I walked away (I had an appointment to get to). After the appointment, I couldn't get Dan or the car out of my head, because he had been so genuinely helpful (whereas I felt the other dealerships were trying to pull a fast one on little old 23-year-old me). He invited me back at 5PM (the dealership closes at 6), and knew I was so excited, I just wanted the car!! He and Sean (the business manager) stayed with me there until after 7!!!! They sat with me while I was on hold with my insurance, and made sure I understood everything. They really made me feel comfortable and educated - never spoken down to. I appreciated all of their help and am in love with my new (well...certified pre-owned but it's new to me!!) car :) TL; DR Dan Ryan is AMAZING, Sean is SUPER patient, and overall they're the best.

DAN'S THE MAN... Helpful, Friendly, Knowledgable & Concerned.. Dan made this experience a cake walk. I came to this dealer after seeing an online add for the used car i was looking for (2010 Chevy Equinox). After a few minutes with Dan discussing why the Chevy & not a Honda (This is after all a Honda Dealer), Dan was ALL IN to get me into this car. He addressed my concerns as far as warranties & price were concerned and all potential problems. Dan made sure I was just as comfortable with this purchase as i would have been with a Honda. I would have driven off the lot that Friday if my papers were in order. I did take it home Saturday... Now this could end the story but I have to say this... On the very next Monday I recieved a call from Dan to inform me that a mechanic found one of the wiper blades to be cracked. He was to change it the day I picked it up, but I left with it before he came back from lunch or Dan got the service report about it... Wiper blade replacement is a very minor & easy fix.. Dan told me get some put on and send him the bill as i didnt live close to the dealership. Most would have let you discover this in your own time. Looking for a specific used car (Toyota Avalon or Lexus 350, model year 2009 to 2011). After a two month search, I found a Lexus at this dealer. Seemed to have a good selection and a better quality car than most other dealers. Worked with Randi C. (sales) and ended trading my vehicle in after a opportunity to sell privately was delayed. Dealership is easy to work with -- low sales pressure, simple negotiations on price in getting best value for the dollar on the car and trade-in. The actual transaction (trade-in, paperwork, etc. was under 1/2 hour with appointment, I financed the vehicle through a credit union). Compared to other dealers in the greater Philadelphia & Lehigh Valley area, this is in my top two. I visited a total of 11 dealers. Many of the cars I looked has some glaring flaws (paint scrapes, interior problems, former rental vehicles or accidents). The used car inventory seemed to be a step above the competiton

Since Lehigh Valley Honda nor Rothrock Motors could meet my needs (i.e., budget\price, certification, mileage allowance) for a 2008 Honda CR-V, using Edmunds.com and AutoTrader.com, I found what I was searching for at JLFreed. Before taking the 46 min. drive, I spoke with Sean (Internet Sales Mgr.) who assured me I could service the car at any Honda dealership. Upon my arrival, Sean cheerfully greeted me said he had already hooked me up with Pat(rick). Pat readily appeared and before I knew it, the car was brought forth, a review of its features were shown, and we were off for a test drive! I'd no doubt this one-owner, 55K mile, certified 2008 Honda CR-V was the car for me as long as its price (including tags, title, etc.) could meet my budget. After sharing my budget\price, Pat was great by working the numbers to "cinch the deal"! To my surprise, when a good replacement driver's mat couldn't be found, Pat told me a new set was ordered and thrown in. Adding to that, I got new tires, a full tank of gas, and purchased a bumper-to-bumper warrantee you couldn't refuse if you heard it! I'm a VERY "happy camper" and advocate for JLFreed!! Stopped by the J.L. Freed dealership last week to look into down sizing from a large SUV to something more suited to driving around town. For the 1st time in thirty years we decided to look at used cars. On our arrival at the showroom we were greeted by David Netz who would be our sales person. We had a bit of a hiccup in the process which had nothing to do with J.L. Freed. We bought one car and in a few days found out that it didn't work for us and had to trade it back in for a different model. Without David being a true professional and helping us through the process it could have been a disaster, but in the end all is well and we could not be happier. While I am sure all of the sales people at J.L. Freed are great to work with I would highly recommend David because he will go above and beyond to help you find the right car. Well considering the sales manager told me I couldn't leave any customer comments directly with the dealership, I decided to take this online.I'm from Virginia. I called and inquired about a used vehicle they had for sale. I was assured everything was in order, no indicator lights, no major mechanical issues, etc.I left at 4AM to arrive at 9AM. Ended up spending a total of 5 hours at the dealership. Despite what anyone might tell you: This is not normal.Upon test driving the vehicle, I noticed the airbag indicator light was on. Everything else was mechanically fine, and I expressed that I was interested in purchasing the vehicle, contingent on them figuring out if this was a major issue or if it could be resolved. If not, then I didn't want the car.After a few more hours, the tech told me he resolved the issue and that it would no longer be a problem. Obviously, I didn't want to drive back to PA to get them to fix that.I signed the paper work, they gave me the keys, and I was on my way home. About 2 miles down the road, the airbag indicator comes on. Obviously, this is not what we agreed upon, so I went back. I was told that this was a recall issue and that Acura should take care of it. I spoke with the sales manager, Robert (not sure what his last name was), and was trying to tell him how this was unacceptable. This really shouldn't have happened, especially with what we agreed upon before I signed anything.His response was: "What do you want from me? I have no money to give you."An apology would have been nice to start with, Robert.He followed with: "What did you expect? You're buying a used car."Okay. I don't expect perfection, but I also don't expect a certified Honda dealership to be selling vehicles that won't pass state inspection in both PA or VA (Makes me curious how this car managed to get brand new PA inspection stickers.)Your results may vary. My experience is that the situation was handled very poorly. I don't care if the car was from 1985, with a million miles and cost $10 dollars -- you simply don't sell vehicles and claim they are certified and ready for sale when they aren't. You also shouldn't treat your customers like they've done something wrong by buying used.As a caveat, don't let my review of this particular dealership be a bad reflection on Honda or Acura as a motor vehicle company. They make quality cars that were built with safety and reliability in mind, both new and used. I will always be a loyal Honda/Acura owner simply because of this fact.This was absolutely a customer service issue, and it was poor.

My experience at JL Freed was excellent. I can honestly say that I never had this type of treatment at any other dealership. There is no pressure to buy on the spot. They allow you to take your time with your decisions. They are willing to answer any of your questions to help you to make a decision. I believe they went above and beyond with their service. My one concern about buying the Honda Pilot was whether it would fit in my garage. Dan (my salesperson) actually drove the Honda Pilot to my house on a Friday night to make sure it fit in my garage. I have never had another dealership go out of their way like this before. JL Freed makes you feel like family and treats you with respect. They are very fair with their pricing. There is no need to send the sales person back time and time again to get the right price. I did my homework using Consumer Reports and Edmunds before going to the dealer and on the first try they came back almost $300 under what I was willing to pay. That alone told me I was at the right place. I have not used their service area yet but was given a tour of it. I absolutely was impressed with the facilities. I think the best part of all is that you drive the car into a covered, heated/cooled facility and a valet then takes your car to the service area. They also bring it back to the same facility when you pick it up so there is no need to go out in the cold/heat and walk around the parking lot to look for your car when picking it up from service. I would highly recommend JL Freed to anyone.

After 4 years of getting jerked around and talked in to bad car deals I decided to stop by JL Freed to see if there was anything that they could do to get me out of a bad situation with my car. I walked in there thinking there was no way however I walked...actually drove out of there in a 2013 CRV for $50 less than my current car payment was. I have never been happier. I worked with Geoffrey Smith and Sean Lipschultz. Both were very friendly and professional. I was in the Montgomeryville ares on Nov 17, 2012 killing time while my wife attended a parade. My 10 year old Explorer was starting to nickel and dime me on repairs so I was thinking about trading it in. I wanted to look at new Honda Accords so I stopped at JL Freed intending only to look at them and pick up a brochure. A non sales manager got me the brochure and introduced me to Michael Anderson. Michael was very friendly and helpful and offered me a test drive even though I wasn't really there to buy. The test drive went well and I was immediately impressed with the car. I still had lots of time to kill so I consented to having an appraisal done on the Explorer. I had looked at KBB and Edmunds and had a pretty good idea of what the numbers were on the car and the trade. I was more than surprised when Michael showed me the work sheet. I've been buying new cars for 44 years and have never bought one on the initial visit prior to this one but the deal was too good to pass on. I ended up with a new Accord LX. It was the most pleasant buying experience I ever had. Michael and Alex Zlakowski were straight arrows all of the way - no hidden after charges or high pressure attempts to sell after market add ons. I went to about 10 other dealerships in the preceding few days and received only rude greedy salesmanship from every other place. Jeff Palmer, the salesman who came out was calm, down-to-earth, and immediately seemed genuine to me. He let me take out the 2 cars I was interested in without insisting on coming with me for the ride (which I really appreciated).2. After deciding that I liked a certain one, he was not pushy at all nor tried to get me to make a rash decision. He was fine with me going home to think about it. Every other place tried desperately to get me to buy that same day and if I told them I want to go home to think about it, they would tell me some nonsense about "today-only specials" that wouldn't be there tomorrow. Give me a break.3. When I came back the next day, Joel (the financial person) was extremely helpful in finding me a great interest rate (4.89%!) over 5 years, which nobody else --even my credit union-- was able to match. He too was calm, genuine, and down-to-earth.4. At no time in the whole process did I feel like I was being duped or taken advantage of. It was such a breath of fresh air compared to all the other places in the area that I had gone to. I wish I would have just went there first.5. I walked in with a Carfax error on my trade-in (2005 Toyota Corolla) and Rich worked with me on analyzing the true nature of my trade without having to deal with Carfax directly. They provided me great value on my trade-in and on a deal for a new 2012 Honda Odyssey. The deal was finished in an hour or so on the morning of October 20th.
