I took my 02 WRX in for a recall of the front lower control arms. I had set up an appointment for 3pm and dropped my car off. I was told that they would look at it and give me a call saying how long it would be. The call never came so I brushed it off. The following morning I called and asked the operator to speak to service and was transferred where a lady answered, I asked her the status of my car and she said she would give me to a rep to go over my car. I was then put on hold for over 30 minutes before I hung up and called again. This time I was transferred and no one bothered to answer the phone. After this I was very irritated by the way they handle their customer service. I know recalls are not first priority but to stick me on hold and "forget" about me... I went to the dealer and asked about my car and the rep said he would check on it. He informed me that the mechanic was working on it til late night. I asked the verdict, whether or not my control arms needed to be changed and he said he had to do a "hammer test". So this guy first tells me that he was working on it into last night but never did the test to see if the control arms were bad? It takes less than 1 minute to tap on the control arms with a hammer and yet the mechanic was working on my car last night... so this was an obvious lie.. I my car be released and I would get my service done elsewhere.

After first purchasing my vehicle here the service center was great. Friendly staff and timely service. Fixed my flat tire and replaced another one same day. It was great! As of the last year the service has significantly declined. My car was making a strange noise so I had called to make an appointment. Well their hours are horrible for any day working person. I believe the latest appointment is 4 or 4:30 and Saturdays booked. So I mentioned I would have to see a mechanic at this point and he didn't seem very concerned about that when he just said ok and pretty much hung up. My husband then attempted to call to talk to someone in the service center and when no one answered asked for the manager and same response kept being forwarded back to the operator who just kept on insisting to transfer us to the same number no one was answering. Had another incident today with the parts center. After today I will not be returning to international autos for any reason. Their customer service is the worst!!

I worked with Marty Lucas from a distance to pick out, price, and purchase a 2015 Forester. I'm in Wisconsin and the dealership is in Illinois, so we did pretty much everything by e-mail. This could have been a real pain, but Marty was always quick and responsive so things went very smoothly. Most dealerships had few or no Foresters on the lot at the time due to demand, so I was pleasantly surprised to find that these guys had one in exactly the color/spec I was looking for. Despite the high demand, Marty gave me a fantastic price with no tricky salesmanship or upselling.Marty and Joe also found a way to beat my credit union's financing. When it came time to pick up the car and sign all the paperwork, once again things were very simple and smooth. Absolutely no high-pressure nonsense or unwelcome attempts to up-sell. Marty walked me through all of the features of the car to make sure I was comfortable with it, gave me a nice overview of warranty coverages and all of that, and got me on my way nice and quickly. All in all, I couldn't be happier with the experience and will absolutely come back.

I contacted International Subaru of Orland Park because they had a 07 STI Limited i was interested in. Terry McQuaid was the first to contact me and he promptly answered all my questions through email. I scheduled an appointment to see the car and worked with Marty Lucas on the sale. Marty was very friendly, professional, and accommodating to my requests. The entire buying process was stress free, and they were more than happy to work with my credit union to secure financing. A month later the car is a joy and i'm very happy with my purchase. I will consider International Subaru of Orland Park when buying new in the future.

About a month ago I went in for a used car inspection for an '06 STI I was thinking about purchasing pending inspection. The inspection came out clean and the only recommended parts that needed replacing were the battery. "Great!" I thought. I bought the car and went over it myself. There was a squeak coming from the engine bay, so I took a look at the drive belts. One had cracks everywhere, so I replaced both. This made me concerned, because the checklist I got from the mechanic (Dave) said they were good. The squeak was still present. I checked the idler pulley and it was bad. It was spinning freely. I took a look at the air filter and lo and behold, it was covered in black oil and dirt. Once again, it was supposedly checked over and didn't need replacing. The MAF sensor was covered in oil because of the bad filter. They checked for leaks, but apparently not because my rear diff is leaking and now I need to get that fixed. Simple things such as an air filter and drive belts were not looked at. If I had known parts needed to be replaced, I would have had the dealership I was buying it from replace those parts before I bought it. Instead I paid for them myself. I paid over $200 for an inspection and I was lied to. Do NOT have inspections done here. Go to an independent shop.

This is my third car purchase in my life. I hated every moment during those times. Pushy salespeople, rude service, and horrible game playing. I dreaded this as my 2002 Forester was coming to end-of-life. I then started my research and decided I was purchase another forester.Working with salesperson Mike O'Meara when purchasing my new 2012 Subaru Forester at International Auto in Orland Park was the best experience I have ever had. To the wary consumer, I have never been treated in a manner like this in my fifty-three years of doing business. They are the most rude salestaff, in my estimation, in the state. I told another customer not to buy a car in this place. There is only three places to park in front of the dealership, and a brand new Toyota was in the last nonhandicaped space so I parked it dirctly across from it which was in the row of used cars. My vehicle is older but in great shape. I was thinking of trading it in. Well you would think I commited murder. I was immediatly asked "what are you doing"? I told him I was trying to park and he requested that I park in the Volvo dealer next door. I did this. Well the saleman was hovering over a rust spot on a Forester that a Oriental woman was interested in. She was inside at this point; as an ice breaker I ask him if it was forsale and he told me "This is a used car lot isn't it, they all are forsale."Well I just guess that I forgot where I was. Silly me! First I cannot park at fifty-three years old and now I am senile enough not to know what a used care lot is. I drive an old car that does not have a scratch on it eventhough it is seventeen years old. Thats no lie. Owned by an older gentleman, the Cadillac is still very presentable. You know what, I think I am going to keep it, bad gas milage and all. I called Subaru corporate and reported that guy. Well, let them deal it. You know later the Woman I mentioned above was outside alone for some reason and I told her not to buy from Inernational Subaru because of their rude behavior. I hope you don't either.

A friend told me to check out Subaru's. I was looking for a sedan with decent fuel milage. After a test drive in the Legacy, I knew I found the car. It handles so well, I was impressed. My salesman told me everything I needed to know and more. My wife and I took the car on a weekend trip within a few days and it exceeded what I expected. When friends ask, I tell them to go see my guy. Everything was so easy and laid back, not like the experience at the other dealers. The business manager was also friendly and not pushy.

I visited this dealership after having not had any luck anywhere else. I was greeted at the door by Mike, who was very friendly. He didn't start in on the hard sell, instead he inquired what I was looking for and what my needs were. He seemed genuinely interested in putting us in the right car rather than sell us what he wanted to sell. In the end, we went home with a new Impreza and we couldn't be happier. Mike was courteous, professional and willing to work with us on price. In the weeks after our purchase, Mike called us to follow up on our purchase.....which is a nice touch. This was our first new car. My wife and I visited the dealerships of many different car companies as we narrowed our search for the right car. We were looking for a small to mid size SUV. We really didn't have much interest in a Subaru, we'd never known anyone who owns one, but Consumer Reports rated the Forester a top pick so we decided to give them a chance. The dealership was clean, quiet, and not at all crowded. Sales associate Mike O'Meara met us at the door. He was very polite and friendly. Mike answered all of our questions and was very knowledgable about the vehicle. It didn't take us long to decide to purchase the Forester. We were sold on the dealership as much as we were the car. If I knew buying a car would be this easy...I just purchased a 2012 Subaru Legacy that I ended up ordering because I wanted a 6 speed. Mike was so helpful and made buying my beautiful new car simple and painless! I did not have to haggle and I didn't walk out with a headache! I had a good experience buying a 2011 forester. Got a good price and good trade in value. But I did my homework and had my numbers worked out before going in, but they met my prices with no haggling or hassle over extra charges. Have not been impressed with the service dept. It's very slow (up to 2 hrs for an oil change!). And it's hard to even get someone on the phone to make a service appt.

Unbelievably poor sales department. I came in to look at a 2011 Subaru WRX with the possible trade-in of a 2006 Tribeca. I spoke with a salesperson (I believe his name was Mike) on the phone and of course, he was friendly and said he would work with me as best as he can. Upon showing up to the dealership I was looked at like a complete foreigner with all the other sales people holding their noses high like I shouldn't even be there. When I asked about my trade-in I was told I would be getting a at least 3-4 thousand less than what Subaru offered online for their guaranteed buy-back offer even though this dealership was part of the program. Mind you the Tribeca was in pristine condition as well with no dings, scratches, or any other type of blemish. I even had it detailed for the sole purpose of getting that trade-in value Subaru was offering. This place was not worth my time nor my money.I ended up going a little further up north to Grand Subaru. Purchased my WRX there since their service was top-notch. Got the same exact trade-in value as Subaru offered online as well. At least the guys at Grand are genuine and care about the customer. International Subaru just wants your money and if the customer looks like a million bucks, the sales people will be willing to sell their souls for your dollar.

I went in thinking what was going to be a pain, turned out to be one of my best experiences in buying a car, no pressure, I couldnt believe it. The car I bought was a 2012 Impreza. Terry and John were so helpful, knowledgeable and answered my numerous questions. Whatever they did not know they went and asked the tech or found someone who did. The deal I got was unbelievable. I originally came just to test drive and purchase elsewhere. I used truecar.com and I received a call from Ania about five minutes after I applied for a quote. She got me all the information I needed and was not pushy at all. When my wife and I arrived to test drive, Ania already had the car pulled up and ready to go. I was really wowed. We spent some time talking about purchasing but their offer on my trade in was way too low. That night we put a deposit on the car and went home. Yet again we did not feel pushed at all. The next day we came back to finish the purchase. I had already secured a loan trough my bank but Ania thought they would be able to beat the rate. She explained why and it made total sense so I allowed them to try. Sure enough they saved me a half percent on my loan. I was very impressed with how they presented their case. The whole process was pretty much painless. Ania was very helpful and responded quickly to my emails or voice mails. This was really nice considering two other dealerships I was working with took forever to get back to me.

The entire experience at International Subaru made for an excellent first car buying experience. I felt like I was getting a great deal all while feeling no pressure from any salespeople. John, my salesman, was great in explaining the Forester's features and options and finding a car on the lot in the color I wanted and with the options I wanted. When it came time to do the finance paperwork I couldn't believe how friendly Frank was. He explained the various items of paperwork to me and showed me available extended warranty options without being pushy. I was out the door in no time with my new Forester (and extended warranties!). The whole International Subaru experience was phenomenal. An even bigger part of this is that I come from a Ford family, with a Ford employee father, and the Subaru was still a better value despite his employee discounts. The purchase of my 2012 Subaru Outback 3.6 Limited is the fourth Vehicle in my garage and will be the one that gets the most usage, so when I stopped in International Autos (IA) I was looking for an automobile that would give years of service and still be exciting to drive. At IA I found just that along with a VERY PROFESSIONAL STAFF in there beautiful well appointed showroom. From the moment I entered the showroom and was greeted by John Kazminski I knew that if the vehicle lived up to the reviews, John would be closing a deal. His sincerity and knowledge of the product was obvious. He gave a brief history of the dealership and his background, and inquired about me and how I happened into IA. After a day of shopping for a vehicle at four different dealers John was a breath of fresh air. After throughly going over the features of the vehicle and a test ride, my mind was made up. He assured me that he could locate the vehicle of my choice and could have it in a couple days. A man of his word, John located the vehicle, brought it to the dealership, and a deal was made. In between Terry McQuaid got involved with emailing and faxing to my credit union any information needed all the time copying me and keeping me in the loop when John was not available. This was truly a TEAM effort.I cannot say enough great things about IA and John K. I know that this was not a isolated occurence, this is the way International Auto does business! Keep up the GREAT WORK!I'm looking forward to meeting the Service Department Staff, because I know the same customer service is expected in that department.

Working with Ken was fun and enjoyable from the first Hello. He made everything so easy, simple and effortless. I don't enjoy buying cars (who does) but he made the entire process a very nice experience. I'm definitely sending anyone I know to see him. And I love my Subaru!

I called to set up an appointment for my 60k service on my 06 Forester. When I arrived I was greeted by Jeremy who i Spoke with on the phone. He had a brand new loaner waiting for me and I was on my way. When I came back my car was washed up and waiting for me. I was probably there for a total of 10 minutes between dropping off and picking up my car. They seem to have done a good job since I haven't had any problems. I was most impressed by how quick and painless as ell as courteous they were. I will definetly be gouing back for my service needs.

Unbelievably bad service department. I purchased a 2011 Subaru Forester and have had nothing but problems with it. Its been in the service dept more than its been on the road. The service department and technicians there are clueless and they cant even perform a simple oil change without causing damage to the vehicle. They dont listen to the customer regarding the problem because they dont care. They just recently had my car for 5 DAYS to fix a rattle in the engine compartment, two broken plastic latched in the cabin and replace a drain plug that they stripped out trying to perform an oil change. Well, it still rattles, one of the clips is still broken and Im out 30 bucks in rental car fuel. If you expect quality service and support from management you may want to go somewhere else. Keep in mind that this review is not being left after only one experience but more like 5. I have given them every opportunity to redeem themselves. Ill be escalating this event to the parent company as well as filing a lemon law complaint if this is not resolved soon. Ill update this review when necessary. Update. They are attempting to resolve this issue once again. I'll update when needed.

We went to International Subaru to look at a used/service loaner Outback and compare to new Outbacks. The salesman was very friendly and knowledgeable. Once we got to the negotiation stage, things became difficult. The sales manager thought he was the wizard from the Wizard of Oz, and he refused to come out of his office to greet us. We went back and forth with the price, and they kept playing games with the price and our trade. It finally came down to a difference of $300, and the manager refused to budge. They lost the sale of a $25,000 car over $300 and their attitude. If the negotiation process wasn't such a game they played, and their attitude and friendliness was better, we probably would have bought the car.The next day, we went to Autobarn Subaru and bought a new Outback for the price we would have paid for the used service loaner. The buying process at the Autobarn was the complete opposite of International Subaru.

Best experience purchasing a car. Initially, I came to the dealership for a brochure to motivate me to save for a year-end purchase. Mike was professional w/out being pushy. He answered some questions and I was out the door. After browsing the brochure, I found a car I liked (Impreza Outback Sport) but it wasn't in stock. A call to Mike and he was able to track one down w/my first color choice.But what I really appreciated about Mike was that he was able to get me a fair price and financing w/minimal hassles and delays.
