After being in my first car accident and totaling my year old sonata, I was distraught, stressed and overwhelmed with the entire situation. After deliberating on what kind of new vehicle I wanted, I decided to stick with Hyundai. I left the Toyota dealership and drove straight to Hyundai at 9:00pm. Even though they were closing up, Robert stayed and came to my rescue. He went above and beyond in assisting me with purchasing a new vehicle. I am extremely grateful for his attention to my situation. With this being my third purchase from Ideal Hyundai of Frederick, it is safe to say I would gladly return.

My experience with Ideal Buick-GMC-Hyundai of Frederick was exceptional. I called their Internet Sales Manager, Abigail Espinosa, just before heading out to make sure the car was available. She was very helpful in answering all my questions. Upon arrival, I was met outside by friendly staff who directed me where to go. Once inside, I met Anne Beard who was working the front end. I immediately felt at ease by her warm and caring attitude. She loves to drag race cars in her spare time. How awesome is that? After a great test drive, I went back inside to show Anne the pricing information that I had researched online. After a very brief negotiation she accepted my final offer. The price was within $500 of True Car's estimate for an exceptional value. The entire process was streamlined and very efficient. We completed all of the paperwork that evening, and we agreed that I would come back to pick-up the car the following day. I needed time to secure financing and apply for a parking permit. Anne was great the entire time. I love my new car, and I am very pleased with my experience at Ideal. I should mention that Anne was scheduled to be off work the next day, but she came to work just to make sure I was good to go. She even bought my old car at a fair price. Just before leaving the lot, I mentioned that this deal was huge for me and I thanked her again. She even gave me a hug! Everyone I met at Ideal Buick-GMC-Hyundai was very professional and easy to work with. I would recommend this dealer to anyone looking for a new car, even if you are a nervous first-time buyer like me. I drove home in the car I wanted at the price I needed, and I would do it all over again any day.

My salesperson, Ken Cooper, was extremely helpful during the initial process and after the purchase. When we were home, we found a few minor scratches on the wheel and driver door chrome. Ken made arrangements to have this addressed by the service people in a very timely fashion. This is the 3rd vehicle we have purchased at Idea. At no time was a salesperson pushy or aggressive. That is one reason why we returned to idea. The other reason we returned to Ideal was that we love the cars! I have recommended Ideal to several friends in the past and will continue to do so. I had a great experience purchasing my first Hyundai. The salesman I worked with and purchased my car from was very professional, friendly, courteous and personable. I was impressed by I believe it was the Sales Manager, or Appraiser (can't remember just who) drove my trade-in, and came to me and said he would not let me drive my trade-in home due to the fact that the brakes were at the floor. He put me in a loaner vehicle for the weekend which I was very impressed by the dealership to put my safety first before I got my new car on Tuesday evening. Was very thankful to them for this.

We bought a new Hyundai Sonata hybrid, and in the flurry of papers thrust at us to sign was one that we neglected to read carefully. It sold us an extended warranty, which added only two years to the warranted ownership period, for $1,988. That cost was added to the amount financed.We never buy extended warranties on anything. They are mostly a waste of money. So when we got home and realized what we had signed, we asked the dealer to cancel the extended warranty contract. After some effort, they agreed. Then we found that only $1000 had been credited to our account with Hyundai Motor Finance. They still owed us another $988. It took several more phone calls and emails to get them to agree to give back the $988.All of this could be chalked up to poor organization at the dealership except that they tried to sneak the $1988 contract past us. The cost was never mentioned to us. In checking with the Better Business Bureau we found that Ideal has a grade of F.

I purchased a vehicle from Ideal Buick GMC Hyundai in Frederick, MD. The Sales and Finance Manager showed me the Carfax current value of the vehicle and told me I had equity in it as well. I found out a few months later, the value of the vehicle was 50% less than what is was worth. I feel it was an old Carfax they showed me. I was desperate for a vehicle and I will do my homework next time before purchasing a vehicle. I'm stuck with a vehicle that's worthless. I will never buy another vehicle from Ideal again. They will lie to get a sale. NEVER AGAIN!

Responded to a Car Gurus ad for 2015 Genesis Demo at $30K. Received prompt e-mail and text from Chad, but after numerous calls, 4 messages and a text to him over 2 1/2 days, finally talked with Alyssa who was professional. After answering my questions and knowing approx., value of my trade in, was more than ready and asked if she could get them to sharpen their pencil a bit. Upon her return call, learned price already included all rebates imaginable (Hyundai promo, Military, Uber driver College, etc.) but not mentioned in their ad. Less than 1 in a million people can qualify for all these. The car was $10 K more, full sticker for not just a leftover 2015, but a Demo with 5K mi This dealership further promoted the frustration and "black eye" perception people have with car dealers and salespeople. Why can't dealers be honest and professional by putting in the real prices adding at the end, "Additional Rebates Available for...." Imagine a much better car buying experience!

I discovered a problem with my car yesterday. I brought it in right away and was told that the problem was covered under warranty and there were 2 additional alerts on the vehicle that Amy said they would take care of at no charge as well. She had the courtesy shuttle bring me to work. When the repairs were completed I was busy at work and unable to leave to pick up my car. Amy had my car delivered to me at the office. Both courtesy shuttle drivers that I met were friendly and helpful. When the check engine light came on in my car, it was the worse way to start a Monday. I never imagined that Amy, the service team and your "rock star" courtesy drivers would actually turn this around for me. Thank you Ideal Service Team!!!! Scheduled my 30,000 mile service online. This is a standard service package that includes about 24 different things including oil change, tire rotation, air filter, cabin filter, and a bunch of inspections. Was given a price at the dealer about $20 higher than the Hyundai package price. When I showed them the package price, the service writer said "oh we don't go by that, that's generic and doesn't apply to all cats". Really? If it's "generic", went is the site tailored to my specific car, even down to the VIN number? Then, they tell me I need fuel injector cleaner/additive. I said "that's included in the 30k service" and showed them the Hyundai package. The service writer promptly told me "that's not included in our package" and is ANOTHER $20. I'm not fighting the $40 I was overcharged, but I guarantee you Ideal will lose more than that when I take my future service to another dealer.

My wife and I recently purchased a used 2014 Mazda CX-5 Grand Touring from Ideal Hyundai. As a disclaimer, I would say the overall experience was good. One thing that made the buying experience less than "ideal" was that the car was advertised incorrectly online and the management at the dealership was not helpful and unwilling to compensate for the false advertising. We didn't even receive an apology from management for driving an hour to see a car that didn't match its description. The actual salesman was very friendly though. In the end, it was the level of customer service that he provided that was the deciding factor. I would still recommend this dealership as it was probably an honest mistake, but make sure to confirm that any used car comes as advertised before making the trip to this or any dealer.

We went in to the dealership on a referral from a friend with the intention to see their prices and if they were good, we'd buy, if not, we were going to go to the Fitzgerald in Gaithersburg. As far as negotiations could go, ours went well. We'd done our research and were able to call out two "mistakes" with rebates and so forth but basically Ideal's prices were good and their service was friendly. We walked out happy.

My wife and myself decided to buy the Santa Fe Sport 2.0T. We were going to Disney World for 7 days, so had 5 dealers provide us out the door pricing, via email, and I would deal with it while on vacation. I actually was at Magic Kingdom and had finalized a deal with another dealership, but was still in contact with Jason from Ideal. They didn't have me nailed down to a price, but let me know that price would not get in the way from making a deal. On the way back up from Florida, I sent Jason a nice email explaining that we were buying from another dealer as we had the price locked in and it was very good. Michelle, one of the managers here, emailed me and then we spoke on the phone. She verified what I wanted, and then emailed me the quote which was a little high. I provided her the price we had locked in and she beat it. Long long story short, some things got lost in the translation of what we wanted due to the 14 model year had different packages then the 13 so we had to start all over for pricing. Yesterday I was in contact with Michelle and gave her the new pricing I had gotten and she beat it. We went up last night, bought and drove away in our new suv. Jess was the person who greeted us and took over from the moment we went in and it just had that feel of a warm dealership that enjoyed working and selling, versus the other kinds that are rude or use tactics that usually irritate me and piss me off. Between my wife and myself, we probably have purchased about 20 new cars over the years, and this has been my best experience to date...from start to finish.

This was my third vehicle that I have purchased from Ideal Hyundai. Each time, I have a fantastic experience which is what keeps me coming back. This time was no different. I was immediately greeted by Ed who worked in the used car sales and he "entertained" me while I couldn't figure out what I wanted. Once I decided that a new car was the route, he went and got Scott who walked me around to all of the cars while I found the perfect one for me. He made sure that we found the car that had all of the things that I wanted (i.e. navigation, seat warmers and great mileage, white exterior and black or grey interior). Scott literally walked all over the entire site to help me find a car that would fit my needs. Low and behold we found it. Scott took me on a test drive and showed me the different features that the car has and how to work them as well. After the test drive I was sold! Scott then had me fill out the paperwork and the financial person (Bob) helped me with the best rate. From start to finish Scott and the entire team was excellent. Duane was very professional, kind and helpful. He really worked hard to make my car buying experience a great one. I had worked with the dealership customer service for a day or two before I drove all the way to Frederick to purchase my car. The only inconvenience I experienced was that my wait time to purchase was long and the monthly payments did not end up being what was quoted. I had tried to ensure that all loan paperwork was processed so that once I got there I could just pick the actual car, have the identification numbers and final cost plugged in and go; however, my fiance had to end up applying for car with me in the end and I did not get the 3.9% APR I was told I should get. If the loan application had been processed prior to my driving 75 miles to the dealership, I would have known ahead of time that my fiance would have to apply as co-owner and I would get only 5.5% APR. I chose Ideal Hyundai because the pricing and APR was better than my local Hyundai dealership; however, in the end it was not as big of a savings as I had calculated prior to making the long drive from Manassas, Virginia. In the future, especially for customers traveling a long distance, I think it would be helpful to actually RUN the loan applications and give the customer an "accurate" estimation of their interest rate and monthly payments so that the customer is not sitting in the dealership until after 9:00 PM trying to purchase a car that they technically DO NOT qualify for by themselves as told before making the drive. =/ Other than that, the staff was very nice, professional and helpful!

The salesperson was excellent. James was very professional and courteous. He provided assistance and answered all questions prior to our purchase. The initial person in financing was not as professional. He was rude, condescending, and acted as if he was doing us a "favor" in processing the purchasing paperwork of the new vehicle. We were from out-of-state, and he had the audacity to state to my wife ""why did you bother coming here" in a demeaning tone when asked about service, warranties, and return policy on new vehicle. He even stated once we purchase, the vehicle there was no option for a return - which is a complete falsehood since state law mandates a three (3) day return policy. This was passed onto the sales person after some time for my spouse to regain composure. I drove over 2 hours to buy the specific vehicle at this dealer so it is too far for me to make it my normal dealer but if I were closer, I would use them. They were also very flexible. This is my 2nd vehicle purchased at Ideal Buick in Frederick. . They worked with me on the purchase and had the best offer for my trade in (trying to stay within my budget). I looked at other local Buick Dealers and found they were less flexible. Thanls, I also like their Service Department personnel; they are professional and knowledgeable which made me very confident in purchasing the vehicle from Ideal.

was out looking for a vehicle , happened to see a trade in that I liked stopped in , requested a lady that has tried hard to get my business was approached via different salesperson. we chatted pricing that nite company wanted more than I would pay which is fine, the sales man kept in touch txtn me I ended up making three trips to dealer to look at vehicle on Friday evening the price I saved that he txt me, disappeared and went back up sat morning. this employee said I was waisting time I also took half a day of time and a half off to come to dealer, this vehicle I was told would not pass md inspections which is fine as I have out of state driver lic I made offer he would not take to his superior and walked away. I felt whole time as there was another offer he was trying to get mine higher.now I myself get gm opt 1 pricing have purchased only 23 diff vehicles in last 20 years alone for myself or kids several duramax, and tahoes, new as well as a powerstroke and quite a few used vehicles mainly all from a dealer I trust in mich. there is no guarantee I would be abel to get vehicle yet being new to area working on railroad where many nice vehicles park and men talk each day this would have ben a classic show piece just for the advertisement alone how likely am I to recommend your dealership based off this experience.

Your "brand" list above is missing GMC!Amity was great to work with! She didn't attempt to sell me something I didn't ask for and she didn't give up when we couldn't come to an agreement, at first. She was very polite and respectful but mostly a lot of fun to work with! Great internet sales lady!!!James was also great but not quite as personable, which was okay considering we were not there to be friends. He had all the information there ready when I asked and he didn't lose his mind when I didn't like his "numbers" via the manager. He worked for me to get the best deal and I appreciate that more than anything!The manager (sorry, dont remember his name) was a nice guy and even hooked me up with an extra set of nice GMC floor mats. I have been going to Ideal Hyundai/Buick/GMC since 2010 as a Service Department customer. I appreciate their low-key approach and professional manner. For example, I've never seen them in the customer lounge trying to hustle someone into purchasing additional services their car really doesn't need...never seen other customers raising xxxx about broken promises, screwed-up estimates, and/or incorrect invoice amounts. To me, it's worth paying an extra $5 or $10 for an oil change to have a Hyundai-certified technician put my car on a lift and completely check it out. While I was waiting for the windshield in my Subaru to be repaired at Classic Auto Glass, I strolled over to Ideal Hyundai to look at some of the new models - specifically, the Veloster, Elantra Coupe and Elantra GT. Several months earlier, I had promised my wife to consider replacing her 2010 Elantra (purchased at a different local Hyundai dealer) if we could keep her monthly payment more or less the same. I was immediately met on the lot by Pete Christensen, who helped me come up with a plan to surprise my wife and select a vehicle that she would both like and have about the same monthly payment. The plan was to get the old Elantra from her workplace, have it appraised and take the new car back and park it in the same spot. All of this had to be done within a 3 hour time window before she went on break. We settled on a 2013 Elantra Coupe and started the purchase process. Less than 2.5 hours later, I was taking my wife's new Elantra to her workplace. There was no dealership-BS - Pete and Angie performed their tasks in the same professional and low-key manner that I was accustomed to from John Michael and the guys back in Service. That's about as good as it gets for me. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase another vehicle from Ideal.

I called into the dealership looking for recommended service to be performed in a short period of time. Shawn answered the call and was very helpful, friendly, and proficient. He provided me with what the dealership was able to do, matched the competitors price, and provided me the service that I needed. The service department was very busy when I got there, however, they were able to focus on my needs. I was going to walk about a mile down the road to get bite to eat and Shawn even asked me if I wanted their shuttle driver to take me. I would highly recommend this dealership to anyone no matter what they drive...I noticed other makes/models in service that werent even Hyundai's! This was my first time servicing my vehicle with this dealership and I would definitely bring it back in the future. I live about an hour away but plan on getting my car serviced when I am out that way.

Ideal really does not seem to want business. We came in seriously looking for a new, fully loaded Hyundai as a comutter car. We had no trade and were paying cash. Ideal told us they could not deviate from the sticker price at all. We are professional people, driving a nice car, but they did not even take the time to remember our name when talking to us. We took a test drive, they let us sit for a long time waiting after the test drive. There was no hospitality or frienliness. Other dealers came up with rebates, etc. that they found applicable and said were from Hyundai directly. Seems strange that Ideal could not do this. Very poor experience both times we stopped there, once last Fall and this Spring.
